  Speaker 1: on our podcast. Have you ever had those days that

  Speaker 1: seem to begin with the heaviness that you can't quite explain.

  Speaker 1: It may not be one big thing at all. Sometimes
• 0:33
  Speaker 1: it's just the weight of several little things that have
• 0:36
  Speaker 1: settled on your heart and your mind over time. Maybe
• 0:39
  Speaker 1: some of you are getting up that way this morning.
• 0:41
  Speaker 1: Maybe it's a burden for your family, or maybe it's
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: simply a tiredness that no mine of sleep seems to
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: be able to help. See, there are mornings when our
• 0:50
  Speaker 1: feet hit the floor if we're honest, that before the
• 0:53
  Speaker 1: day even fully begins, your mind is already trying to
• 0:56
  Speaker 1: solve things that only God can handle. We all know
• 1:01
  Speaker 1: what it feels like when we try to get ahead
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: of God's grace. I believe that's what he wants to
• 1:07
  Speaker 1: talk to us about this morning. When the mind starts
• 1:09
  Speaker 1: running miles down the road that we were never meant
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: to be on in the first place, and if we're
• 1:15
  Speaker 1: not careful, our thoughts can travel too far ahead of
• 1:19
  Speaker 1: God's plans. I don't know if you've ever been there,
• 1:21
  Speaker 1: but I'm sure you have. Where we get into a
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: situation or like I say, miles down a spiritual road
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: that we look back and we think are an emotional
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: road or mental road, one of those things where we
• 1:33
  Speaker 1: get to a certain point and we look around we think,
• 1:36
  Speaker 1: how did I ever get on this path in the
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: first place. That's what God wants to speak to us
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: this morning, because when we start trying to do that,
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: we start trying to carry tomorrow's weight with today's strength,
• 1:47
  Speaker 1: and that just simply won't work because it's always a
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: burden that's too heavy for our shoulders. God did not
• 1:53
  Speaker 1: make us that way, But the Lord has such a
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: great way of reminding us that we're only asked to
• 2:01
  Speaker 1: live in the grace for the moment. By the time
• 2:05
  Speaker 1: this day ever reached you, I want you to know
• 2:08
  Speaker 1: this morning that His grace was already there and it
• 2:13
  Speaker 1: is always enough. See that's one of the sweetest and
• 2:17
  Speaker 1: most powerful truths of the Christian life. If we could
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: ever grab hold of that one truth that God never
• 2:23
  Speaker 1: asked us to create strength that we do not have.
• 2:27
  Speaker 1: He simply meets us right where we are with exactly
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: what we need for the moment. He knows your burden
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: this morning. He knows it before you can even name it.
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: He knows the pain before you even fully understand what
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: it is, and the need before you even speak it.
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: In prayer this morning, hallelujah. I want to tell you
• 2:48
  Speaker 1: that this morning because listen to the Lord's response to
• 2:52
  Speaker 1: the apostle Paul when he asked God to remove what
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: he called his thrown in the flesh Paul right and
• 3:00
  Speaker 1: second Corinthians twelve and verse number nine. After he had
• 3:03
  Speaker 1: asked the Lord three times to remove this throwing in
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: the flesh, and he said, unto me, my grace is
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: I have found in my life that some of the
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: deepest moments with God come when I finally realize that
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: I cannot fix what is in front of me, and
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: if it is when I surrender, when I get to
• 3:32
  Speaker 1: that surrendered place. I wish I could say I do
• 3:35
  Speaker 1: it all the time, but I don't. But when I
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: can get to that surrendered place, when my heart grows
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: quiet and my soul whispers, Lord, I need you, I
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: need you to take this from me and do whatever
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: you feel like is best. Thou will be done. That's
• 3:51
  Speaker 1: when grace seems to draw the closest to me, and
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: I pray it's that way for you as well, because
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: sometimes the Lord seems to say, you do not have
• 4:00
  Speaker 1: to figure this whole road out today by yourself. Let
• 4:04
  Speaker 1: me be enough for where you are standing right now.
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: Hope that speaks to you, because there's always peace in that.
• 4:12
  Speaker 1: There's always freedom in knowing that God's grace is not
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: measured out of our own ability. It's measured out of
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: His faithfulness. His supply is never hindered by our weakness.
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: In fact, the Bible bears out that weakness often becomes
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: the very place where His strength feels like it has
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: the greatest power. Hebrew four and verse number sixteen. It
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: gives us an invitation, it said us, let us therefore
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: come boldly unto the throne of grace. Now listen to
• 4:46
  Speaker 1: what he says, that we may obtain mercy and find
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: grace to help in time of need. I love those words.
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: Grace to help, not grace for next time month, not
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: strength only for tomorrow, just enough for right now. And
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: that is often how God works in our lives. He
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: gives us enough light and enough strength, and enough power
• 5:14
  Speaker 1: for the next step, enough peace for the present burden.
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: And enough assurance to trust him with the parts we
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: cannot see yet. So today, if your heart feels heavy,
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: I want you to remember this. Before the burden of
• 5:31
  Speaker 1: your heart ever reached you, today, before the tears ever
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: formed in your eyes, God's grace has already been enough
• 5:41
  Speaker 1: for you. So today you be safe, you be strong,
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: and you be blessed and resting. Grace is sufficient for
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: whatever you're going through. I sure hope you have a
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: great day.
