- 0:00Breathe. His last few lines, we did just
- 0:02say amesiation in the last lines are on page 280, Qaramu Zakaram
- 0:09Dash writes. Kevin said once he had said I'll
- 0:13see the damage and see the person who's walking with a
- 0:17certain level. He's walking with his heels,
- 0:19which means he's walking head up.
- 0:21Gava is arrogant Mehmesh Pegada. He's busy with his clothing
- 0:26smoothies to make sure he looks very, very good.
- 0:28Very busy with his outside appearance, Mr. Selbasado.
- 0:33And he's obsessed with his hair. Oh man, and the size she invites
- 0:38it by the midage. He said, says there, surely I
- 0:42own this person. Which means every person is
- 0:44extremely busy with his outward appearance.
- 0:47What others think then the answer has got full control over
- 0:51him. So he said yesterday it seems a
- 0:52little extreme. OK, just cause the guy likes
- 0:54fine things in life and he likes to look good, it's not a reason
- 0:58to say that he's in the control of you and said what exactly
- 1:00does this mean? So we explain and the idea is,
- 1:05is that people are busy with their persona.
- 1:09What happens is a person gets busy with image and then he sees
- 1:13other people look at him and he likes to what other people want
- 1:16so that he would look at him as an impressive person and then he
- 1:20starts to feed to that image. So now once I am seen as an
- 1:23impressive person, I'm seen as a hashouf guy.
- 1:25I sought to carry myself according to that picture and
- 1:30now I'm living with the mindset that I am Hashouf and now it
- 1:33becomes my DNA told everybody, including told the people that
- 1:37are close to me. I used to be a regular guy and
- 1:39now when I go back home, I'm carrying myself because I I like
- 1:42the fact that people see me as Hashouf.
- 1:44Now I go home and I still think I'm hashou person.
- 1:46Now with the kids and your wife and your family and the basics
- 1:49and the simple things. Now he's only carrying yourself
- 1:51a different way, and now your mind and your life is all
- 1:54catered to the same image that's made-up.
- 1:57And it becomes an obsession and it becomes fully the focus of
- 2:00our life. And the answer has got us
- 2:03because everything we're going to do is based on this.
- 2:06How many sins can come from arrogance?
- 2:08Well, what can come from arrogance is complete
- 2:10destruction. Why?
- 2:12Because I'm obsessed with keeping up this image.
- 2:15And now as someone insults me, they're poking on my image.
- 2:20If someone doesn't give me enough cover word, they're
- 2:22hitting on my image. I woke into a room.
- 2:25I expect I have a certain sense of who I am.
- 2:28The conversations all about me. Everything I do is meant to feed
- 2:33into this image. And now my entire life is built
- 2:36on this sort of mindset. All because of that one mistake,
- 2:39which was literally taking and obsessing over my DNA when I
- 2:44decided to become a person that has an image and has a person
- 2:47physically says it's the reason this is important.
- 2:50I want to show you this and because an opera shot this week,
- 2:55we have maybe one most classic stories and it's almost comical,
- 3:00which is the Basuk says at the top, I share my sham opens up
- 3:04the mouth of Piaton, the mouth of the atone.
- 3:09What's the atone? The donkey, right.
- 3:12That's the Basuk says I have to find this Mishnam Mishnam
- 3:15Vicarbo writes that the mouth of the atone they voted for a
- 3:21donkey to speak. We know is an unbelievable
- 3:24miracle. We know it's not at all
- 3:27practical and the Mishnah says that there were 10 things that
- 3:31God created been a shamashot major miracles.
- 3:37I read the Mishnah. I said I'd the vary in the blue
- 3:40body of Shabbat Shamashot 10 things that Hashem created
- 3:43during twilight right before Shabbat, the creation of the
- 3:46world, right, the world six days of creation going into Shabbat.
- 3:51Each day was a massive creation. And then right before the end of
- 3:54the six days right before Shabbat started, Hashem created
- 3:5810 miraculous things for our future. 10 things that the whole
- 4:02homage are based on, for example.
- 4:05Oh yeah, just on that point. So if it's bet you created
- 4:07they've been a special, then we know it's not Shabbat.
- 4:10Yeah, a good point, right. But we have to know we don't
- 4:12know how many so much so it is nice.
- 4:13You got a point by that very good very Lorraine P Artists God
- 4:18created the opening in the land in the in the ground and one day
- 4:21Konoch would go down Pia Pere created the opening of where the
- 4:27well would be in the desert. Pia a tone one of the miracles
- 4:30were the mouth of the donkey by Keshit.
- 4:33God created the the rainbow Bahman, the man Vah Maltaire,
- 4:39the staff with Moshebian will use for all the miracles by
- 4:43Shamir the something that's can be used to cut miraculous a
- 4:47snake that's that's going to cut the stone for the better.
- 4:50Migdash Akhtab, a bhaktab A lahot different things for the
- 4:55writing of the lahot. All right, these are all very
- 4:57significant items. That's right.
- 5:02One opinion says good, another right the place the barrel of
- 5:08mush have been a different things.
- 5:10So I wonder why in this list is the mouth of the donkey, which
- 5:15means whether that donkey is selfish, was around from 3000
- 5:20years prior, or the existence of that mirror that that type of
- 5:23creation that a donkey could speak was caring for them.
- 5:26I wonder what may Hashem go with such great lengths by the
- 5:31creation of the world to prepare for a miracle that one day a
- 5:38donkey would say a few words to his master, to Balaam and Al
- 5:41Prasha. What's the story?
- 5:43Balaam is asked to curse the Jewish people.
- 5:46Hashem basically tries, tells him not to, tells not to.
- 5:48He goes anyway, right? And then he has to travel with a
- 5:53donkey, keeps moving different direction because there's a
- 5:57Malachian Angel in front of him with a knife, with a sword, and
- 6:01then don't. He has to stop.
- 6:03And Balaam hits a donkey, but and Hashem opens the mouth of
- 6:07the donkey, donkey speaks, stop. Not at all normal.
- 6:11It's not practical. It's not physically possible.
- 6:13It's a miracle. Why would God go such great
- 6:17lengths from the creation of the world from day number six and
- 6:22prepare a miracle years later to allow a donkey to speak?
- 6:27Everything else we have in our list are impactful to the world.
- 6:31They're all part of the future. Here's a moment, everything
- 6:33where a donkey's going to speak to his master.
- 6:35It's comical. Almost every kid knows about it.
- 6:38It doesn't make any sense. It's at that time point why
- 6:41would God go that far? This is the important thing
- 6:44about ego and arrows. The answer is to understand
- 6:49where Bilam was holding. Bilam was a man who had the
- 6:53ability to curse. Powerful man.
- 6:56He had the ability was considered a prophet equal to
- 6:59the love of Musira Beno and the ability to curse.
- 7:02Now he was also the most popular man in the world, the most
- 7:07sought after man in the world. But the Basuk says they sent
- 7:10people to him. The Vidas writes that he was
- 7:14getting messages constantly. Everyone was asking him.
- 7:17They wanted his services. Everyone wanted to belong
- 7:20services to curse to the other nations.
- 7:22They all wanted him as their protection.
- 7:24So he's the most sought after man in the world, popular man
- 7:26with a gift. What happens next is the real
- 7:30essence of belong. What happens next?
- 7:32Once it's being sought after, he starts to like it, has to enjoy
- 7:36it just to feed on, feed off of it.
- 7:39What does he do? For example, they offer him
- 7:42money. At one point he says if you give
- 7:45me all the money in the world, all the money in this house,
- 7:48whatever it is, it wouldn't be enough.
- 7:51As she writes, he really meant to say money's not going to
- 7:54help, I need Hashem's help. That's the humble way of saying
- 7:57it. But he stated in a way saying no
- 8:00money is enough for my service. I deserve endless money.
- 8:04Arrogance right there. Another example, when they came
- 8:07to visit and they said Balaam, they want to know can you come
- 8:10across the Jewish people? Balaam said he needed to wait
- 8:13over. I think he said the word.
- 8:16Let me show you the words he says sleep over here at night.
- 8:31He says these words. He has to stay overnight.
- 8:33When he answers this question. Lino Paul Ayla.
- 8:36But she voted Hamdivar, stay overnight tonight and I'll give
- 8:39you the answer tomorrow where I shall.
- 8:40What? What God says about cursing or
- 8:43she says, really he needed to wait there all night because he
- 8:46did not have prophecy during the day.
- 8:48He needed the night time to know whether he has a capability to
- 8:51curse the Jewish people. But he said it in a way.
- 8:53Listen to the arrogance in Milahan.
- 8:56I'm not sure if God allows me to go with low people like you.
- 9:01Maybe I need bigger people to come.
- 9:04Shamma and Kivador, Kivadi, la tete la aloch Ellaim Sarim
- 9:09Gilimican. Maybe you need greater officers.
- 9:11Here's a guy who has really has to be humble because ultimately
- 9:17his talent and his gifts are fully from Hashem and he's not
- 9:21sure if Hashem is not allow him. And he says things in a way to
- 9:26build up his image to make him seem like something
- 9:30unbelievable. Number 1, he says you might need
- 9:32to give me more money. I might deserve more for my
- 9:34services. I'm such an important person.
- 9:36I'm the most so I have the person whore and #2 he says you
- 9:39got to stay overnight. I need to see if this is
- 9:42respectful enough. Maybe I deserve more impressive
- 9:45officers. So a guy who was meant to be
- 9:48humble because he has a gift, has God-given instead of builds
- 9:52and compounds and develops and expands his arrogance, his ego,
- 9:57his image, to make himself seem like the most important thing in
- 10:01the world? To make himself be projected to
- 10:03the world as someone who literally has such an
- 10:07unbelievable level and stature that no one's enough of him.
- 10:11No emissary, no messenger, nobody's enough for him.
- 10:15He's so important. He's building this image and
- 10:17this persona and his belief in himself.
- 10:20That's a balames as a Mishnam pick out of what says he's a man
- 10:25who has the greatest Gava. He's the definition of Gava,
- 10:28this man. Now let's get back to the donkey
- 10:31speaker. Why is it important for Hashem
- 10:34to allow a donkey to speak, to make a miracle from the
- 10:37beginning of time, preparing for this moment to show all of us?
- 10:42Look at the result of arrogance. When a person believes that they
- 10:49have a gift, when the person believes that they are special,
- 10:52and that's sort of arrogant sort of way.
- 10:55Not only does Hashem indicate to him that he's not as special as
- 10:59he seems, God takes him all the way down to the greatest level
- 11:03of humiliation possible, where Hashem tells him, you see this
- 11:07donkey, I can make him speak. You know what that means what
- 11:11that means that means that your gift is not your gift.
- 11:14Your power of speed, your power of cursing is nothing to me.
- 11:18It's all God-given. You think you're impressive,
- 11:21even a donkey. I can make speak so your talent
- 11:24is not at all your talent. Your image is not at all your
- 11:27image and this fake arrogance is all self-made and at all zero in
- 11:32a minute. I could take it from a big high
- 11:35flying balloon all the way down to the ground.
- 11:38And the lesson is that a person who has arrogance, who allows
- 11:41arrogance to build and develop and compound and by the way, but
- 11:45not a reason to be arrogant. He did have a gift at the whole
- 11:50world once. He did have a talent that was
- 11:53seen as the protector of the world.
- 11:55He was considered something unbelievably talented.
- 11:58It's still he let it reflect himself.
- 12:01He let himself literally say, read the back of your card.
- 12:04All right. He let himself start reading who
- 12:06he is and because of that, he allowed himself to become
- 12:10something in his mind that was supernatural super early.
- 12:13And Hashem tells him you're as natural as it gets because you
- 12:17see this donkey, he could speak. How does he speak to all my gift
- 12:21as not your own talents or from Hashem.
- 12:23So the purpose of Hashem allowing a donkey to speak is a
- 12:28lesson to all of us. Never get ahead of yourself and
- 12:32to believe that our gifts, our gifts, if you're humble, if you
- 12:35have understanding that Hashem does give us talents and these
- 12:39talents are meant for a purpose to be used to help others, the
- 12:44do fathers, then you can go to great heights.
- 12:46But if a person is the opposite and they absorb the medal of
- 12:50Belam, then they hit the bottom of the barrel to go to great
- 12:54lows. And this is the message of
- 12:56arrogance. And This is why Messiah Shanim
- 12:57says, and that Yetzeda has has an arrogant person in his
- 13:01clutches, because then a person believes and reads whatever he
- 13:05says about himself. And he starts to like when
- 13:07people make him into a big deal, he lives for that.
- 13:10That becomes his entire existence and he can function
- 13:14like a regular normal person in society.
- 13:16And he takes away his ability to develop, to expand, to become
- 13:19something special. Is the idea on top of this here?
