- 0:00Speaker 1: I hope we're not about to be killed. It's one
- 0:01Speaker 1: more thing. I'm one more thing before we get to
- 0:08Speaker 1: whatever we're gonna talk about. Uh the podcast, The computer
- 0:12Speaker 1: behind me is grinding?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Is that?
- 0:14Speaker 1: What that noise is? What is that?
- 0:17Speaker 3: Does that?
- 0:17Speaker 1: Could that mean?
- 0:17Speaker 2: It?
- 0:18Speaker 1: Hanson, you know a lot about computers. When a computer
- 0:20Speaker 1: starts going, does that mean it's about to explode? Or
- 0:24Speaker 1: just the hard drive is gonna crap out? Or what
- 0:26Speaker 1: does that mean?
- 0:27Speaker 2: Yeah? That means he's gonna explode real soon.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I think it's gonna break down.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Well, you've got to consult a computer museum. How old
- 0:35Speaker 2: are those things?
- 0:37Speaker 1: Yeah? I ain't a good sound though.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I mean a five year old computer is a relic,
- 0:44Speaker 2: and those are they got to be a decade old,
- 0:47Speaker 2: aren't they? Oh?
- 0:48Speaker 1: God, more than that?
- 0:49Speaker 2: All right? Really it's ridiculous.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Yeah, just my computers never make noises like that. Okay,
- 0:57Speaker 1: So anyway, that's in a side. Oh we're talking a
- 1:01Speaker 1: little bit on the radio show Armstrong Engetty radio show
- 1:04Speaker 1: about travel dysmorphia. I guess that's a term somebody came
- 1:07Speaker 1: up with. It's the common feelings some people have that
- 1:10Speaker 1: other people have traveled more than I have, and you
- 1:11Speaker 1: feel bad about yourself, and I guess it's dysmorphia because
- 1:16Speaker 1: it's often not true. You get it through looking at
- 1:18Speaker 1: their social media, and your impression is they're constantly traveling
- 1:21Speaker 1: the world and you aren't. I just wanted to throw
- 1:23Speaker 1: out because I always find this is interesting. So many
- 1:26Speaker 1: of the people I know that have traveled the world
- 1:28Speaker 1: a lot have hardly been anywhere in the United States, partially,
- 1:32Speaker 1: I guess because there's no social cachet with that, right.
- 1:35Speaker 1: You can't say I've been to all fifty states and oh, yeah,
- 1:38Speaker 1: I've been to I don't know, you know, pick your place.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I've been to Wyoming, I've been to Alabama. You're not
- 1:44Speaker 1: going to impress your friends. In fact, they probably laugh
- 1:47Speaker 1: at you, even though I think there's tremendous value in
- 1:50Speaker 1: knowing a lot about the own dang your own dang
- 1:52Speaker 1: country and the different cultures that exist in it, in
- 1:55Speaker 1: the different points of views and all different sort of stuff.
- 1:58Speaker 2: And if you're looking for breath taking views, oh judy,
- 2:02Speaker 2: or fascinating culture and art and whatever, it's all here.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, It's just just doesn't carry any social credit,
- 2:11Speaker 1: so people aren't into it. Other thing I was going
- 2:15Speaker 1: to say. I was going to talk about how proud
- 2:16Speaker 1: I am of my son. Listen to this text I
- 2:18Speaker 1: got for my son. So my son is homeschooled, and
- 2:22Speaker 1: then he's got a couple of independent classes he takes
- 2:24Speaker 1: through the school, and he had one of those today
- 2:26Speaker 1: which he did not make it to, and he sent
- 2:27Speaker 1: me this text, Dad, I set my alarm for the
- 2:31Speaker 1: wrong time, and I'm not going to be able to
- 2:32Speaker 1: make it to school. He talks about how there's not
- 2:35Speaker 1: enough time. Even if I rode my bike, I wouldn't
- 2:37Speaker 1: get there till it's over. I emailed my teacher about it.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I'm sure he's going to send me to the work.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Please don't be angry. This is the first time something
- 2:45Speaker 1: like this has ever happened in my whole life. He's thirteen.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I legitimately thought today was Wednesday. I'm an imbecile. I
- 2:50Speaker 1: should be whipped for my ignorance. Wow.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Whoa wow?
- 2:55Speaker 1: Does he sound at all like me?
- 2:57Speaker 3: Many so?
- 2:58Speaker 1: Anyway, the fact that he's upset about that, is upset
- 3:01Speaker 1: about that, is that makes me happy. Yeah, that's you know.
- 3:05Speaker 1: It's one thing you want out of your kids is
- 3:06Speaker 1: for them to have some just innate conscientiousness.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Well, sure, right, that's that's a manly statement of facts
- 3:14Speaker 2: and apology. On the other hand, as a spinmeister, I
- 3:19Speaker 2: appreciate his going so over the top in self flagellation
- 3:24Speaker 2: that it seems weird for you to pile on. That's
- 3:28Speaker 2: a good strategy. You think it was just that he's
- 3:33Speaker 2: no fool, that boy of yours.
- 3:35Speaker 1: He also is very conscientious. He's just got that gene,
- 3:38Speaker 1: thank god. And then we got this to wrap out
- 3:42Speaker 1: the podcast today. Does this need any setup? Hantson? No,
- 3:44Speaker 1: no setup, what's over? It's we're looking at the video
- 3:47Speaker 1: while it happens. He used to be a guy who's like,
- 3:49Speaker 1: I don't know, thirty five years old, wear in a suit.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I don't know what this is, you know, I don't uh.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I don't come from any kind of money, and I've
- 4:01Speaker 3: never owned a suit before. My wife she bought me
- 4:07Speaker 3: this suit. Our anniversary is coming up, and we have
- 4:11Speaker 3: a nice anniversary plan. You know. We make a little
- 4:16Speaker 3: bit of money now, and I'm proud to say that
- 4:19Speaker 3: because that's certainly not where either one of us comes from.
- 4:23Speaker 3: And I feel good in this suit, man, and I
- 4:31Speaker 3: just want my wife to doe. She made me feel good.
- 4:38Speaker 3: It's a three hundred dollars suit. I never had nothing
- 4:42Speaker 3: like this before in my life. And I tell you what. Okay,
- 4:46Speaker 3: video flip here, so I'm gonna lose some of you.
- 4:50Speaker 3: I didn't know Charlie Kirk. Never met that guy before
- 4:53Speaker 3: in my life. And something else that I've never done
- 4:58Speaker 3: before in my life is believing God. I'm gonna wear
- 5:03Speaker 3: this suit to church. I'm gonna go to church. I'm
- 5:08Speaker 3: going to try to be a better father, husband and
- 5:14Speaker 3: leader from my family. Uh, they deserve that. My phone
- 5:23Speaker 3: fell down. I guess that's the devil trying to fuck
- 5:26Speaker 3: me up right or mess me up right now. I'm
- 5:29Speaker 3: gonna try y'all. Look at this suit. I look good, bro.
- 5:35Speaker 3: My wife made me feel this way. Charlie's made me
- 5:38Speaker 3: feel this way. Uh yeah, message over.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's nice. Everybody told us you got to see this.
- 5:52Speaker 1: That's cool, man. Havn't having having something that uh yeah,
- 6:02Speaker 1: like earned or got to is so much more enjoyable
- 6:07Speaker 1: than given to you means everything growing up with it
- 6:11Speaker 1: or whatever. It's just so huge. Anyway, that was cool.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know the other theme of it, that's funny.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I just had a conversation about this, and I don't
- 6:19Speaker 2: want to get too specific, but living up to something,
- 6:28Speaker 2: if you have a conscience, not disappointing the people you
- 6:35Speaker 2: care about, is like the most powerful motivator on earth,
- 6:39Speaker 2: I think, for a lot of people. And I just
- 6:42Speaker 2: I think it's interesting that that guy saw a higher
- 6:49Speaker 2: standard for himself that he'd ever lived up to or
- 6:54Speaker 2: even thought about before, and thought, you know what, I
- 6:57Speaker 2: want to live up to that standard. I just thought
- 7:00Speaker 2: that was really interesting. I can be better than I am.
- 7:06Speaker 1: You look you good in the suit too.
- 7:08Speaker 2: It's a nice looking suit. Well, I guess that's it.
