- 0:01Hey everybody, welcome to the good morning from the Chicken
- 0:04Coop podcast. My name is Kim Johnson and I am
- 0:07a mastermindset coach, creative strategist, and also happen to
- 0:10be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast to teach
- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the.
- 0:22Coop and let's start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:27Hey everybody. Can you hear that sound in the
- 0:31background? That is the sound that we
- 0:34normally have months and months and months ago, frogs trilling,
- 0:39calling each other, mating time. We've had tons of rain in the
- 0:44last couple of days. And while we are still in a
- 0:50exceptional drought, not just severe exceptional, at least
- 0:54everything got a good drink and at least it's something and
- 0:59everything all of a sudden just popped.
- 1:02And the frogs were part of that. And that brings me to the point
- 1:06of the day. Sometimes it's really truly
- 1:09amazing when one condition changes, everything changes.
- 1:15And all of a sudden when, I mean, I've been watering things
- 1:19and it's been keeping them alive, but it hasn't hasn't been
- 1:22helping them to thrive. So there's a difference between
- 1:25being alive and thrive and all of this rain just hit at a time
- 1:32when everything just took it up. And it is exceptionally green
- 1:38right now. Like in the last it started
- 1:41raining I think on Friday, Saturday, and it was on and off.
- 1:45It hasn't been steady, but it's been on and off in chunks and
- 1:48the ground was able to absorb a lot of it last night.
- 1:51It poured so hard. I was convinced that at one
- 1:54point I heard it raining so hard.
- 1:56I sat up and I was like, Oh my gosh, it sounded like it was
- 2:00coming through the roof. And it just, I mean, must have
- 2:04been in a rain bomb or something where it just came down.
- 2:06And I was like, Oh my God. I can only imagine how the
- 2:09plants are getting beat up. But you know what?
- 2:11They're plants and they know what to do with it.
- 2:13I can't see yet because it's still dark outside, how much it
- 2:18really did hit any of the flowers.
- 2:19But the truth of the matter is 1 condition changes so much.
- 2:23We have to remember that and look at our own lives and say,
- 2:27OK, where is the condition that I can do that I can create or,
- 2:32you know, put together that's going to change something.
- 2:35What condition do I need to change?
- 2:37And sometimes it's simple. Sometimes it's like, listen,
- 2:41I'm, I'm not working with the right people.
- 2:43I need to change my job, look for different clients, align
- 2:47with something that is more in in the perspective of what I
- 2:51want to attract to myself. Sometimes it's like, you know, I
- 2:55just have to change the condition of clutter.
- 2:57Sometimes there's clutter everywhere and we just need to
- 3:00get rid of the clutter and that makes a big difference in the
- 3:02house. Sometimes it's just about
- 3:04shifting our own state of being where we're like, OK, I've been
- 3:09sitting around too much. I need to get up and move.
- 3:12Whatever those conditions are, it's it doesn't take a lot, just
- 3:17takes one. And the rain has really
- 3:20amplified that for me. Again, one condition can change
- 3:23everything. So take the time to sit down and
- 3:27ask yourself what condition needs to change for you?
- 3:31What's the one condition? And if it if it's something, and
- 3:36this is where that really becomes tricky because people
- 3:38will say, well, I just need more business.
- 3:41That's multiple conditions my friends.
- 3:44OK, if you are saying to yourself, I need more business
- 3:47or I need more clients in that way, that's a bigger condition
- 3:52overall that you can break down into little things that go into
- 3:56it. So if you let's just use that as
- 3:58an example since it popped up as I'm doing this.
- 4:01So if we said I just need more clients, then that's like, OK,
- 4:05what are the conditions that are contributing to me not getting
- 4:09clients? And don't just say it's the
- 4:11economy because that's a lame excuse.
- 4:14It's part of it, but it's not your personal situation where
- 4:18it's just coming down and targeting you.
- 4:20So you have to say, OK, I need more clients.
- 4:24So how do you attract clients? What are the things you're
- 4:27doing? Are you putting out the right
- 4:29feelers? Are you speaking to people?
- 4:31Are you talking to people every single day?
- 4:34Are you making it a point to say I'm going to touch a
- 4:37conversation with a potential client every single day?
- 4:42And that's even if you just leave your business card
- 4:44somewhere, even if you just text someone, even if you shoot 1
- 4:47e-mail, by the end of the month you will have touched 30 people.
- 4:51And we often think, Oh well, people know what I do, whatever
- 4:54it is that you do. But they don't.
- 4:57They don't remember. That's the problem.
- 4:59They don't remember. So break down the whole big nut
- 5:04into one condition that you can change.
- 5:06I can touch one somebody, a person, every single day.
- 5:11I could put a post on social media.
- 5:13I could, you know, like shoot a video of myself saying hello to
- 5:17somebody that I haven't talked to in a long time, maybe a past
- 5:21client and text it to them. You can do something every
- 5:26single day. You can read a book that keeps
- 5:27you positive. You know, you can learn one
- 5:30thing a day. That's my big thing.
- 5:32I I'm obsessing on that. I do it all the time.
- 5:35What can I learn? What's my thing I can learn
- 5:38today? Very, very, very important, very
- 5:42important. So the conditions, the water,
- 5:45the rain, the one thing. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:49you have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:51Bye.
