- 2:38Speaker 2: great interviews, all the stuff that we have coming. Okay,
- 2:44Speaker 2: so let me explain this. Okay, SC Bookouts and Friends
- 2:49Speaker 2: is the part of aspiring authors magazines. Okay, aspiring off.
- 2:54Speaker 2: This magazine has the craziest, most bananas things going on.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Y'all talk about being booked and busy. Remember one time
- 3:07Speaker 2: we were just the magazine, and then we got blessed
- 3:10Speaker 2: and we became the podcast. And now y'all were getting
- 3:14Speaker 2: blessed even more because now we got to speak engagement.
- 3:17Speaker 3: And we will be to cities near you.
- 3:20Speaker 2: We have virtual conferences, we have in person conferences, and
- 3:27Speaker 2: we have several opportunities for authors, illustrators, individuals who like
- 3:34Speaker 2: to be in anthologies. We have so many things going on.
- 3:39Speaker 2: But of course, of course, of course, of course I
- 3:45Speaker 2: have to bring up the Interbator, the inventor, the how
- 3:53Speaker 2: we say in the South, the mouth Peace, the Queen
- 3:58Speaker 2: of collaborations about her and God who gave her the
- 4:03Speaker 2: insight to put us all together, which would be none
- 4:08Speaker 2: of us. Angela Thomas Nick. Come on up, girly, come
- 4:15Speaker 2: on up. Let's tell them what we got going on. Alright, Hey,
- 4:23Speaker 2: my mother's going on from what's going on?
- 4:26Speaker 4: What's going on? What's going on? Hey, everybody, So y'all,
- 4:32Speaker 4: I have the Queen with me.
- 4:33Speaker 3: All right, we were just talking.
- 4:37Speaker 2: You know, this is season three, season three, you guys,
- 4:42Speaker 2: And I can remember holding my breath.
- 4:46Speaker 3: About the pass out. And now it's like.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I get to have money cause I get to talk
- 4:53Speaker 2: to all these authors and I got an offer coming
- 4:56Speaker 2: next week.
- 4:56Speaker 3: So y'all, y'all got to stay around.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Okay, check out my solf because I'm gonna be blasting
- 5:01Speaker 2: her all over the place. Okay, But if it wasn't
- 5:05Speaker 2: for you, I wouldn't be in this place right now.
- 5:11Speaker 2: It's crazy how God said, okay, cool, I'm gonna put
- 5:15Speaker 2: y'all on the alignment, come on me and ligne y'all up.
- 5:18Speaker 2: And that's exactly what he did. And now look at us,
- 5:21Speaker 2: this is crazy.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Well that that's what he do.
- 5:27Speaker 2: He will take the the strangest things to confirm the
- 5:31Speaker 2: wise I tell you, did I think I would be
- 5:35Speaker 2: doing a lot of the things that I'm doing. No
- 5:40Speaker 2: podcasts and magazines, over one hundred books. No, never thought
- 5:45Speaker 2: any of that. But I'm grateful He's given us all
- 5:51Speaker 2: and outlet and and opportunity to share his goodness. And
- 5:55Speaker 2: it's all about sharing his goodness and allowing him to
- 5:57Speaker 2: come forth because I'm not able to to do any
- 6:01Speaker 2: of this stuff if it was not for him. You know,
- 6:05Speaker 2: we were talking about the different things like God literally
- 6:09Speaker 2: download things in me, and it not always is for me.
- 6:14Speaker 2: And I'm always trying to push people into you know,
- 6:18Speaker 2: what I think God has purposed them to do. You know,
- 6:22Speaker 2: I tell people all the time, if you come in
- 6:23Speaker 2: my presence, know that it is a reason why you're
- 6:26Speaker 2: in my miss, it's not a coincidence. And normally it
- 6:30Speaker 2: is about a gift and it's usually about something that
- 6:35Speaker 2: you know you have and you are not utilizing it.
- 6:40Speaker 2: And he normally bring people in, my miss, that I'm
- 6:45Speaker 2: able to pull those things out of them. Sometime I
- 6:49Speaker 2: may be rough, but that that roughness it always it
- 6:55Speaker 2: always end up coming off as love.
- 6:59Speaker 4: I can say that it is never.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Come from a place of anything out of love. Everything
- 7:10Speaker 2: that I do I work unto the Lord, So I work.
- 7:15Speaker 4: From my heart.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I work from a place of you know, wanting to
- 7:24Speaker 2: make a difference, wanting to impact, wanting to share his
- 7:27Speaker 2: goodness because I know that I didn't get here by
- 7:30Speaker 2: you know, the great things that I have done, because
- 7:33Speaker 2: I've not done anything great.
- 7:36Speaker 4: He spared my life so that I could.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Be a witness for his goodness and so that I
- 7:42Speaker 2: could share it with others and let people know that
- 7:45Speaker 2: what he did for me he can do for you.
- 7:48Speaker 4: So that that's just the me Patrice, and why I
- 7:53Speaker 4: do what I did.
- 7:57Speaker 2: And you know she is so corre like with her,
- 8:02Speaker 2: it's like that mother that chastises you. But you know
- 8:07Speaker 2: they want the best for you, and if they don't
- 8:10Speaker 2: chastise you. It means that they don't love you.
- 8:13Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 8:15Speaker 2: And it's just like, really, like when I talk to
- 8:19Speaker 2: my daughter, Okay, don't do this because such and such
- 8:23Speaker 2: and such and such, I chastise her. But then you
- 8:26Speaker 2: know what, She'll come back to me and like, Mom,
- 8:29Speaker 2: you were right, and I'm sorry.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Okay, So it's all love. Okay. So now let's talk
- 8:39Speaker 3: about all these things we have going on. Okay.
- 8:42Speaker 2: So the first one I want to see and I
- 8:45Speaker 2: want to like to talk about is the authors to
- 8:49Speaker 2: watch out for you guys, this is the opportunity for
- 8:56Speaker 2: you as an author season brand new, middle grade whatever,
- 9:06Speaker 2: to have like a team of people behind you saying
- 9:10Speaker 2: you can do this.
- 9:11Speaker 3: So let's think of jail and Hurts.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Okay, y'all know it's a little cute self one, not
- 9:16Speaker 2: little Super Bowl Sunday.
- 9:18Speaker 3: So Kendrick Kamar love your halftime performance.
- 9:21Speaker 2: By the way, he has a group of people behind
- 9:25Speaker 2: him that supports him and guides him. That is what
- 9:30Speaker 2: you're gonna get when you join the one hundred authors
- 9:36Speaker 2: to watch Okay. We have different groups that you have
- 9:42Speaker 2: a leader or some people say a mentor. Okay, that
- 9:48Speaker 2: if you having some type of problem, you get hit
- 9:51Speaker 2: them up, be like all right, I need you to
- 9:52Speaker 2: help me out with this, this, that, and the other.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I want to know from you, Miss Smith, how in the.
- 10:00Speaker 3: World did you come up with that awesome idea?
- 10:04Speaker 4: Well, it did not start out as that, Patrice.
- 10:09Speaker 2: To be honest, this did not start out as what
- 10:15Speaker 2: I wanted it to start out as. This was supposed
- 10:19Speaker 2: to be what you just did in award show. This
- 10:23Speaker 2: is what this was supposed to be. But God said,
- 10:25Speaker 2: this is not what I want you to do. He said,
- 10:28Speaker 2: It's not about a contest. It's not about competition. It's
- 10:32Speaker 2: not about recognition.
- 10:33Speaker 4: He said.
- 10:34Speaker 2: It is about connecting. It is about collaborating. It's about
- 10:39Speaker 2: being a part of a community that can allow you
- 10:43Speaker 2: to create the four seeds. Is what he dropped in
- 10:45Speaker 2: my spirit. See God deal with me in so many
- 10:48Speaker 2: different ways, and when he began to unload this in
- 10:51Speaker 2: my spirit, I was like, okay. So I came up
- 10:54Speaker 2: with the Google form and even a word, and as
- 10:58Speaker 2: I was doing, if you had to notice, I've had
- 11:02Speaker 2: to go back and I've had to edit that Google
- 11:04Speaker 2: form probably four times. So the people that started feeling
- 11:08Speaker 2: out the form and joining the beginning, they really thought
- 11:10Speaker 2: that it was an award show, and I had to
- 11:13Speaker 2: break it down to them and explain to them exactly
- 11:16Speaker 2: what it was about and that it wasn't and apologize
- 11:20Speaker 2: to them if I misled them. Because there was gotten
- 11:23Speaker 2: There was going to be no voting, There was not
- 11:26Speaker 2: going to be any any competition. That was not going
- 11:29Speaker 2: to be any of that. My whole thing is about educating, empowering,
- 11:34Speaker 2: and couragement. Since God rolls me off my bed of
- 11:39Speaker 2: a flip of a fiction, that's what I have been doing.
- 11:44Speaker 4: I want to.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Educate everyone that come in my mess. I want to
- 11:48Speaker 2: empower them, and I want to encourage them to stay
- 11:50Speaker 2: on this journey that they're on.
- 11:52Speaker 4: So when he began to.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Drop this in my spirit, he said, utilize the people
- 11:59Speaker 2: that's within the group to be group leaders, allow them
- 12:05Speaker 2: to come forth, allow them to share their expertise, those
- 12:10Speaker 2: things that they have been sitting on that they have
- 12:14Speaker 2: and they know they have these gifts. But allow them
- 12:17Speaker 2: to utilize their gifts and to come forth with their gifts.
- 12:21Speaker 2: So I just allowed him to show me who to
- 12:26Speaker 2: pull out and who to pull on. I had to regroup,
- 12:33Speaker 2: had to you know, realign some of the groups, and
- 12:39Speaker 2: it was just listening to him and allowing him to
- 12:43Speaker 2: kind of guide me with what to do. So that's
- 12:49Speaker 2: how we ended up with the groups. And he said,
- 12:52Speaker 2: allow them to get personable, let them learn the skills,
- 13:01Speaker 2: the talents, and the gifts that are amongst them, so
- 13:04Speaker 2: that they don't have to search out for things because
- 13:08Speaker 2: everything that they need is right there. There's so many
- 13:13Speaker 2: people that have so many gifts and so many talents.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Like there's a guy he really believed that book sells,
- 13:22Speaker 2: like just the paperback book is where it's that he
- 13:24Speaker 2: don't believe in the ebook and I'm telling you, and
- 13:28Speaker 2: he has this and he wants to show everybody how
- 13:31Speaker 2: to push books.
- 13:33Speaker 4: And he does really good with booksells.
- 13:37Speaker 2: So then you have a person that can show you
- 13:42Speaker 2: how you can get your books and all these different
- 13:45Speaker 2: platforms by.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Just uploading them to certain platforms.
- 13:49Speaker 2: You can get your books and platforms in the library,
- 13:52Speaker 2: you can get your platforms.
- 13:54Speaker 4: That allow your books to be in Barns.
- 13:56Speaker 2: And Noble Books a million, Walmart, come even in Target,
- 14:02Speaker 2: even in some of these other places. You can get
- 14:04Speaker 2: your books and all these other platforms, Like I literally
- 14:08Speaker 2: Google myself every now and then just to see where.
- 14:10Speaker 4: My books are.
- 14:12Speaker 2: I go and I say, where can I find books
- 14:18Speaker 2: by Angela Thomas Smith. Walmart always pop up, Amazon always
- 14:25Speaker 2: pop up. Barnes and Noble pops up Thrift Books, which
- 14:29Speaker 2: is a book uh a bookstore that a lot of
- 14:34Speaker 2: people that are incarcerated use this bookstore.
- 14:38Speaker 3: That's when they get a.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Lot of their books from a lot of my books
- 14:43Speaker 2: are in that bookstore. I also Google find out a
- 14:48Speaker 2: lot of my books are in Danish, they're in UK,
- 14:53Speaker 2: They're in a lot of various other That's why when
- 14:57Speaker 2: I look at the royal ts, I may not get
- 14:58Speaker 2: thousands and thousands of dollars every month, but when I
- 15:02Speaker 2: look at that royalty thing and I see another symbol
- 15:05Speaker 2: on the besides the US dollar, honey, I feel like
- 15:07Speaker 2: I've done what I was supposed to do. Somebody outside
- 15:13Speaker 2: of the US had an opportunity to connect.
- 15:17Speaker 4: I mean, I went across the waters.
- 15:22Speaker 3: A new height.
- 15:24Speaker 4: So I mean I'm not just reaching people around me.
- 15:27Speaker 2: That that means we're reaching the global platform. Not only
- 15:32Speaker 2: that we have individuals that are in places that can
- 15:37Speaker 2: allow you to reach different diversity of people. We have
- 15:44Speaker 2: several professors connected to the platform. Matter of fact, we
- 15:47Speaker 2: have two group leaders that are professors. One is a
- 15:52Speaker 2: English professor. He works at the Universe at a university
- 15:57Speaker 2: in a hbc U in Alabama and he is the
- 16:04Speaker 2: director of writing and something got to do with English,
- 16:12Speaker 2: that's what he does. So you have to know who
- 16:17Speaker 2: you are connected to and who is amongst you. When
- 16:21Speaker 2: I hear people say, I ask the question, well, what
- 16:25Speaker 2: can we offer? What can we do? Everybody say, well, marketing,
- 16:30Speaker 2: network and marketing.
- 16:32Speaker 4: What are we doing?
- 16:34Speaker 2: If you just participate in the challenge, then you have
- 16:38Speaker 2: the opportunity to market your book for free. You have
- 16:41Speaker 2: the opportunity to network. Like everything that I'm doing through
- 16:46Speaker 2: this and not only not only this, this this, this,
- 16:49Speaker 2: this movement is allowing me to utilize the things that
- 16:53Speaker 2: I'm learning in school. I'm working on my masters and
- 16:58Speaker 2: in business and the things that I'm sharing and posting
- 17:01Speaker 2: in these groups, Like, I'm glad to learn these things
- 17:04Speaker 2: because then guess what, I can run back to the
- 17:06Speaker 2: group and share it in the group, and it's stuff
- 17:09Speaker 2: that I know works because I'm working on my master's
- 17:14Speaker 2: and it's one I'm one class, I'm five weeks away
- 17:19Speaker 2: from walking baby, So there has to be something. And
- 17:24Speaker 2: I'm not talking about just barely getting by. I'm talking
- 17:27Speaker 2: about can you say I got one hundred and three
- 17:30Speaker 2: right now.
- 17:32Speaker 4: In my class?
- 17:34Speaker 2: And can you say I've had since I started? I
- 17:39Speaker 2: managed to get one be the whole time I've been
- 17:43Speaker 2: in school while maintaining all of this that I've been doing. Okaye,
- 17:49Speaker 2: See God calls people like her cause this girl head
- 17:57Speaker 2: God look at me, you know, and my child. I'm
- 17:59Speaker 2: just go ahead and make you a book reviewer, but
- 18:01Speaker 2: I'm gonna put some other stuff on you.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Please.
- 18:03Speaker 2: I don't, but he knows to put where he knows
- 18:07Speaker 2: where to put them. And just to think about it,
- 18:10Speaker 2: you guys, being a part of this group is just
- 18:12Speaker 2: not one. And we're talking about marketing and networking and
- 18:17Speaker 2: all that. It's not just one person yourself. You got
- 18:22Speaker 2: this army of people behind you actually doing it too,
- 18:25Speaker 2: you know.
- 18:27Speaker 3: So we do have that.
- 18:29Speaker 2: So if you are author and you're starting out and
- 18:33Speaker 2: you are like, I don't know where to start, join
- 18:37Speaker 2: the family. Come on over, Okay, So come on over,
- 18:44Speaker 2: join the family and be a part of that movement.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Now number two, you guys represent your state. So we
- 18:55Speaker 2: started this maybe what three four years ago.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Edition this third.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Yeah, so yeah, And it gives individuals an opportunity to
- 19:09Speaker 2: represent the state that you live in, the state that
- 19:13Speaker 2: you were born in, or the state that you it's
- 19:17Speaker 2: the theme of your book, are you've written a book,
- 19:20Speaker 2: or it's the back drop for your book or what
- 19:24Speaker 2: is the other one, Patri I'm.
- 19:25Speaker 4: Sorry, I had some ginger real and it's just.
- 19:29Speaker 2: So you're right, it's the state that you live in,
- 19:33Speaker 2: the state you currently reside in, or no, the state
- 19:37Speaker 2: you live in, the state you were born in, or
- 19:41Speaker 2: the state where your book is setting is in.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Now, yes, there are gonna be some states up to grab.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Okay, okay, it might not have anything to do with
- 19:51Speaker 2: your book, but you can grab that state normally. That's
- 19:55Speaker 2: like Utah, Arizona, Colin raw Those are some of the
- 20:01Speaker 2: states that really don't get taken up. Now.
- 20:03Speaker 3: The states that go quickly.
- 20:06Speaker 2: South Carolina, Florida, South Carolina good, already gone. South Carolina
- 20:12Speaker 2: is gone, Alabama sail over, Maryland is gone. Can't even
- 20:19Speaker 2: get South Carolina's I'm gonna have to go get Utah
- 20:23Speaker 2: or Arizona or something like that. See see how quick,
- 20:26Speaker 2: that is, and if the person that the person that
- 20:29Speaker 2: snatched South Carolina wanted another state that was already snatched,
- 20:33Speaker 2: but she snashed.
- 20:34Speaker 4: It because she has ties to South.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Carolina and everybody posting now like Tennessee. It's a lot
- 20:41Speaker 2: of people want Tennessee. Three people have submitted the form,
- 20:45Speaker 2: but nobody submitted defeat. So the first person defeat, they
- 20:49Speaker 2: get it.
- 20:50Speaker 3: So let me tell y'all something. Now, let's let's go
- 20:54Speaker 3: on that that little thing right there. Yes, there is a.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Fee, and this is what I'm doing this year, Patricia,
- 21:01Speaker 2: which is a whole lot different. So what we're doing
- 21:05Speaker 2: this year, okay, So what I'm doing to make it
- 21:07Speaker 2: really really personable for the individuals that are participating. So
- 21:12Speaker 2: how you see the covers that I'm putting the cover
- 21:15Speaker 2: on and then everybody have that is example of the cover.
- 21:20Speaker 2: And then when they sign up for their state on
- 21:23Speaker 2: the cover, it has their picture and then it has
- 21:26Speaker 2: their state on it and it represents so if they
- 21:30Speaker 2: want to have if they want to be on the
- 21:32Speaker 2: front cover and run as because we're probably gonna have
- 21:37Speaker 2: how many other people sign up for a front cover,
- 21:39Speaker 2: We're gonna have that many editions of the magazine.
- 21:43Speaker 4: So if we have ten people sign up for a
- 21:45Speaker 4: front cover.
- 21:46Speaker 2: We're gonna have a front cover for California, a front
- 21:48Speaker 2: cover for whichever states that sign up for a front cover,
- 21:53Speaker 2: and they're gonna have a front cover for California.
- 21:55Speaker 4: Say California, sign up. I know Alabama signed.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Up for a front up. So he's gonna be on
- 22:01Speaker 2: the front cover for Alabama. There'll be a direct link
- 22:04Speaker 2: where you can go and order his magazine if you want.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Just if you want his magazine, you can order magazine.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Hold on, hold.
- 22:14Speaker 2: On, wait wait wait wait wait wait wait, So you're
- 22:16Speaker 2: telling me that if I choose a steak, I can
- 22:20Speaker 2: have the front cover and have a link to actually
- 22:24Speaker 2: buy my own covers.
- 22:26Speaker 4: To get.
- 22:28Speaker 3: That link.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Everybody will have that link. So this is what's gonna happen.
- 22:32Speaker 2: So, like you go to the to the page and
- 22:37Speaker 2: it has the link where you can go and buy
- 22:39Speaker 2: the regular copy of the magazine. So that is gonna
- 22:41Speaker 2: be on the page. So everybody that signs up. So
- 22:45Speaker 2: so far, I've only had one person to sign up
- 22:48Speaker 2: for the actual cover he's gonna have, Like you see,
- 22:52Speaker 2: his picture got to carry the Alabama he's signed up
- 22:56Speaker 2: for a front cover. So his front cover is he's
- 22:59Speaker 2: gonna have his front cover, his picture is going to
- 23:01Speaker 2: be on a front cover of the magazine.
- 23:04Speaker 4: He signed up for a front.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Cover, and when they just signed up for a regular
- 23:09Speaker 2: just to the feature. But of course I'm doing everybody
- 23:14Speaker 2: a front cover so that they can have they can
- 23:16Speaker 2: see what it looked like in case they decide later
- 23:19Speaker 2: on that they want to do it, they can. It's
- 23:22Speaker 2: only it's only additional twenty five dollars, so if they
- 23:27Speaker 2: want to reserve their space.
- 23:29Speaker 4: And this is how it's working. It's thirty five dollars
- 23:33Speaker 4: for it's thirty.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Dollars for the feature, twenty five dollars for a copy
- 23:39Speaker 2: of the printed magazine, so you're getting a copy of
- 23:41Speaker 2: the magazine, so.
- 23:42Speaker 4: That's fifty five dollars.
- 23:44Speaker 2: So you get thirty dollars for the feature, then twenty
- 23:48Speaker 2: five dollars for the printed magazine. So when you sign up,
- 23:52Speaker 2: you get your feature and your magazine is gonna be
- 23:56Speaker 2: sitting over here to the side. So when the magazine
- 23:58Speaker 2: or to go in your magazine ship to your house.
- 24:02Speaker 2: If so, you want to be on the front cover,
- 24:05Speaker 2: then you an extra twenty five dollars which brings your
- 24:09Speaker 2: total to eighty dollars. So for eighty dollars, you get
- 24:13Speaker 2: the front cover, you get a one page feature inside
- 24:17Speaker 2: the magazine, and you get a printed copy of the magazine.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Also comes with that, We're gonna have a link, so
- 24:30Speaker 2: if you want people to purchase your copy of the magazine,
- 24:34Speaker 2: you can send them to your front cover and they
- 24:37Speaker 2: can buy your front cover of the magazine. So for
- 24:41Speaker 2: every person that has a front cover, there's gonna be
- 24:43Speaker 2: a direct link that they can go and they can
- 24:46Speaker 2: purchase their copy.
- 24:48Speaker 4: And I'm going on even father, every.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Person that is featured on the front cover, you're gonna
- 24:57Speaker 2: be able to make money off of magazine. How you're
- 25:02Speaker 2: gonna be able to make money off of the magazine.
- 25:05Speaker 2: So when we print the magazine, they charge us just
- 25:10Speaker 2: to print the magazine. So whatever it costs to print
- 25:13Speaker 2: the magazine, that's what you're gonna pay. You're paying for that,
- 25:18Speaker 2: and then you can sell it for whatever we retail
- 25:22Speaker 2: it for.
- 25:23Speaker 4: I think it's gonna retail.
- 25:24Speaker 2: It retails from twenty seven to thirty seven dollars, depend
- 25:28Speaker 2: on how many pages. I think this particular magazine may
- 25:31Speaker 2: be over fifty pages, so it may be around thirty
- 25:36Speaker 2: thirty one dollars, but it won't be determined until it's
- 25:40Speaker 2: uploaded and they tell me the price. So when they
- 25:44Speaker 2: tell me the price, then that's when I tell everybody else.
- 25:47Speaker 2: So whatever price they say, this is how much it
- 25:50Speaker 2: costs to print, then that's the last couple of magazines.
- 25:54Speaker 2: For the last couple of months, it's been running anywhere
- 25:57Speaker 2: about fifteen to seventeen dollars for the print, and then
- 26:02Speaker 2: when it's uploaded, once they got everything up and they retailing,
- 26:06Speaker 2: it has been retailing for twenty seven dollars. So when
- 26:10Speaker 2: we first released the magazine, and I've been telling I've
- 26:12Speaker 2: been trying to tell everybody, grab your copy when you
- 26:15Speaker 2: can get it for the price that we pay print
- 26:21Speaker 2: for the print price.
- 26:22Speaker 4: And it's usually like that for the first couple of.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Days, and I want to say for them, maybe the
- 26:28Speaker 2: first five days, and then it goes to twenty seven
- 26:33Speaker 2: dollars or whatever the price is. But for everybody that
- 26:39Speaker 2: purchased a front cover, there's gonna be a direct link.
- 26:43Speaker 2: So once the magazine is up, I will send out
- 26:48Speaker 2: I will send whoever's on the front cover, I will
- 26:51Speaker 2: send them their link, so that they can share their
- 26:53Speaker 2: link that shows them in on the front cover and
- 26:57Speaker 2: the content, the content within the magazine is all gonna
- 27:01Speaker 2: be the same, So you got to go and buy
- 27:02Speaker 2: all of us, unless you just want the different ones
- 27:04Speaker 2: with the different front covers. The front cover is going
- 27:08Speaker 2: to be different, maybe the back cover. The front and
- 27:12Speaker 2: back cover may be different on each of the magazines.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Because of course we want to represent the person that
- 27:18Speaker 2: is on the front cover. They will also be on
- 27:21Speaker 2: the back cover as well, so we definitely want to
- 27:25Speaker 2: give them the opportunity.
- 27:27Speaker 4: Yes, go ahead, Patrica.
- 27:31Speaker 2: No, you're you're You're not gonna get that opportunity nowhere,
- 27:35Speaker 2: especially for that price, because I see other people are
- 27:38Speaker 2: doing it and they're charging way more. This is an
- 27:41Speaker 2: opportunity for you guys. And I'm just gonna tell you
- 27:44Speaker 2: where you may be able to get this magazine.

- 30:21Speaker 2: really promote it out there and to share it out there.
- 30:24Speaker 2: I'm often interviewing about the magazine. I always like to
- 30:31Speaker 2: talk about the magazine opportunities that we provide.
- 30:35Speaker 4: We have some amazing writers.
- 30:37Speaker 2: We have some new writers that that are that joined
- 30:40Speaker 2: this season, so we're gonna be bringing some new content.
- 30:45Speaker 2: We have more content. We have more stuff that's coming out. Yes,

- 31:00Speaker 2: is available. So go ahead and grab New York before
- 31:04Speaker 2: anybody grab it. Everybody been they've been filling out the form,
- 31:10Speaker 2: but nobody's.
- 31:10Speaker 4: Been submitting their their their payment. Like right now, Tennessee, Tennessee.
- 31:17Speaker 2: I've had three people submit the form for Tennessee, but
- 31:20Speaker 2: nobody submitted their their payment. So the first person to

- 31:31Speaker 2: in your brand, yourself, in your book. If you're an illustrator,
- 31:38Speaker 2: you can use this too.
- 31:41Speaker 4: But just listen. Listen.
- 31:43Speaker 2: You will be surprised at what people say about our magazine.
- 31:49Speaker 4: The guys in prison.
- 31:51Speaker 2: When I first started sending the magazine to the guys
- 31:55Speaker 2: in prison, they used to steal my magazine. They used
- 31:59Speaker 2: to steal the people in the mailroom used to steal
- 32:03Speaker 2: my magazine.
- 32:05Speaker 4: The lady asked. She asked them, She said, where y'all
- 32:09Speaker 4: get this magazine? She said, I ain't never seen no
- 32:11Speaker 4: magazine like this before. She said, this is unique. I
- 32:15Speaker 4: was like, I said, she didn't want to steal in
- 32:18Speaker 4: the magazine.
- 32:19Speaker 2: And then they actually tried to ban my magazine from
- 32:25Speaker 2: going into the prison system.
- 32:27Speaker 4: I had to go through.
- 32:28Speaker 2: This long process where I had to go through a
- 32:33Speaker 2: review and I had to send in all kinds of stuff,
- 32:40Speaker 2: and I actually wrote some people, and in the process
- 32:44Speaker 2: of me writing and talking to these individuals, my magazines
- 32:50Speaker 2: showed back up and I was offering an apology and
- 32:56Speaker 2: I haven't had any more problems with my magazine getting
- 32:59Speaker 2: inside of the facility.
- 33:03Speaker 4: I know, I think that they stopped them from going
- 33:05Speaker 4: to Colorado.
- 33:06Speaker 2: We were able to ship on one time, but I
- 33:08Speaker 2: think they stopped him from going to Colorado too. Because
- 33:11Speaker 2: one thing we do do, and that is to bring
- 33:14Speaker 2: awareness to social injustice. We have a whole section inside
- 33:19Speaker 2: of our magazine that talks about social injustice.
- 33:23Speaker 4: Even though it.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Says the Free Texas campaign, we talk about things around
- 33:28Speaker 2: the board. We touch on Colorado, we touch on Georgia,
- 33:33Speaker 2: we talked, we touch on all those that may be affected,
- 33:38Speaker 2: so that we we just want to be a voice
- 33:41Speaker 2: for those that think that they don't have a voice.
- 33:45Speaker 2: That that's what we're doing, and it is an opportunity
- 33:48Speaker 2: for you to get your brand out there, to get
- 33:51Speaker 2: in seen in her I'm not gonna promise you that
- 33:54Speaker 2: it's gonna go before millions, because I can't tell you that.
- 33:58Speaker 4: I'm telling you.
- 33:59Speaker 2: We we can help. I can tell you this, people
- 34:04Speaker 2: do order our magazine. We're not selling one hundred every month,
- 34:08Speaker 2: but I can tell you there's constantly twenty to thirty
- 34:14Speaker 2: people that purchase our magazine on a constant basis and
- 34:17Speaker 2: for us only being here for five years, I don't
- 34:21Speaker 2: do a whole lot of just mass promotion, and it's
- 34:26Speaker 2: just really word of mouth and experiences and people really
- 34:31Speaker 2: truly understanding, you know, what we are about and what
- 34:36Speaker 2: we're doing and what we stand for. I have not
- 34:40Speaker 2: waivered for five years. This is what I have been doing.
- 34:44Speaker 2: I truly believe in it. I know that this is
- 34:46Speaker 2: what God gave me, and I'm sticking to it and
- 34:50Speaker 2: I'm gonna keep I'm not I don't constantly change my prices,
- 34:54Speaker 2: like he'll say, do this and stay there. Like one
- 35:00Speaker 2: point he was like, that's too much. Don't charge that
- 35:02Speaker 2: we're going through and I can't. Like I for the
- 35:05Speaker 2: likes of me, I can't. People are like you only
- 35:07Speaker 2: charging twenty five dollars for that? Let me grab that,
- 35:09Speaker 2: y'all get it because he told me to do it.
- 35:12Speaker 2: So hey, I'm just out here just trying to be
- 35:17Speaker 2: obedient and trying to be that willing vessel that can
- 35:20Speaker 2: help others go to that next level, you know, because.
- 35:24Speaker 4: That's what it's all about.
- 35:25Speaker 2: We're supposed to make one to another, help makes one
- 35:30Speaker 2: to another. And I can't help you if I'm charging
- 35:34Speaker 2: you and you got to go borrow from Peter and
- 35:37Speaker 2: Paul to pay John and Sally that how can that
- 35:41Speaker 2: be helping you? Remember if you are helping yourself, because
- 35:51Speaker 2: we can do part of it. But then you can
- 35:55Speaker 2: also do your part. If you know that you're going
- 35:58Speaker 2: to be on the cover of magazine placing on social media.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Hey you guys, get a cover mop. I'm gonna be
