- 0:00Speaker 1: There's something about the warm summer air and a cold
- 0:02Speaker 1: corona with lime that makes the roar of the crowd
- 0:05Speaker 1: sound a lot like the roar of the waves.
- 0:07Speaker 2: That's because this is our playa, and the best seats
- 0:09Speaker 2: are always wherever you're sitting.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Whether it's a weeknight game under the lights or a
- 0:13Speaker 1: Sunday afternoon in the sun, you know baseball isn't about
- 0:16Speaker 1: rushing around. It's about settling in, letting the game come
- 0:19Speaker 1: to you. And nothing pairs better than an ice-cold corona.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 0:25Speaker 2: So find your seat, your corona, and your lime. Because
- 0:29Speaker 2: real fans know the only thing better than nine innings
- 0:32Speaker 2: is extra innings, especially on La Playa.

- 0:51Speaker 3: What's up, guys?
- 0:52Speaker 1: I need to tell you about this new prediction market
- 0:54Speaker 1: called Polymarket. It's the best new way to trade in sports.
- 0:58Speaker 1: In the past, if you wanted action on the game,
- 1:00Speaker 1: you'd put some money in, and if your team was
- 1:02Speaker 1: doing well and you wanted to cash out, they'd lock
- 1:05Speaker 1: the trade and take a huge fee. But Polymarket is
- 1:08Speaker 1: a prediction market. It's a stock exchange for sports, buying
- 1:11Speaker 1: in and selling out on your terms. I've tried them all,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and Polymarket is simply the best prediction market. Better than DraftKings, FanDuel, Kalshi,
- 1:20Speaker 1: you name it. They're so confident you'll never go back
- 1:23Speaker 1: to the other guys. They're giving you a free $ 25
- 1:25Speaker 1: on your first trade when you deposit just $ 10. And
- 1:28Speaker 1: now they've launched a new feature, Squads, a group chat
- 1:31Speaker 1: where you can see what everyone is trading. So download
- 1:34Speaker 1: the Polymarket app today and use the code ROSSRIZZO when
- 1:37Speaker 1: you sign up. That's code ROSSRIZZO and get $ 25 free
- 1:42Speaker 1: after you deposit just $ 10.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Rossi, the Brewers beat the Padres 4-3. Jackson Turio walks
- 1:48Speaker 3: off Mason Miller in the bottom of the ninth. to
- 1:51Speaker 3: stun the San Diego Padres. And the Atlanta Braves beat
- 1:55Speaker 3: the Dodgers 3-2 led by Michael Harris and pitchers that
- 1:59Speaker 3: are making absolute names for themselves and turning into stars.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I'm Anthony Rizzo with my partner David Ross and this

- 2:20Speaker 3: We answer questions at the each one end of our episodes.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Rossi tonight did not disappoint in game two of the
- 2:26Speaker 3: division series of the national league.
- 2:29Speaker 1: What a two ball, two ball games. We got my gosh,
- 2:33Speaker 1: that was that San Diego Milwaukee game was unbelievable, man.
- 2:37Speaker 1: It was everything you wanted. There was, there was good pitching,
- 2:41Speaker 1: great defense, some, some not so great defense, some back
- 2:45Speaker 1: and forth. My gosh, man, what we got so much
- 2:47Speaker 1: to talk about. Like, Let's get to the San Diego
- 2:50Speaker 1: game first. I love the Dodger Braves. I'm a Braves guy.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I grew up a Braves guy. That was a nice
- 2:56Speaker 1: steal of a win in LA, but bro, one of
- 2:59Speaker 1: the best games I've seen in a long time, this
- 3:01Speaker 1: Milwaukee Padres game was election.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Bro, that stadium was loud, man. And playing there with
- 3:08Speaker 3: the Cubs all those years, we'd get a lot of
- 3:12Speaker 3: Cubs fans there and they'd make it loud, but when
- 3:14Speaker 3: the Brewers beat us, it would be really loud and
- 3:16Speaker 3: My God, bro, that place was rocking. And of so
- 3:21Speaker 3: much that went into this game, it started, honestly, early
- 3:24Speaker 3: on the little things in October baseball, right? Manny Machado
- 3:28Speaker 3: gets a base hit, two-out base hit, advances on a
- 3:31Speaker 3: pass ball, and then Ty France... Two out walk. He
- 3:34Speaker 3: got two out walk, actually.
- 3:36Speaker 1: He got two out walk.
- 3:36Speaker 3: That's right.
- 3:37Speaker 1: He grinded that bat. I think it was 0-2.
- 3:40Speaker 3: It was 0-2. To 3-2.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Yeah, to 3-2. Got on there. Like you said, the
- 3:43Speaker 1: little things. Ty France rakes. Let's get that out of
- 3:46Speaker 1: the way. This guy, absolutely.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Ty France rakes. I mean, maybe karma from yesterday. We
- 3:53Speaker 3: posted the side angle of the ball yesterday because I
- 3:58Speaker 3: know it's been controversy all day leading up to that game.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I personally don't think It was going to be a
- 4:04Speaker 3: home run, right? We talked about this, his reaction. And
- 4:07Speaker 3: then we got the dugout reaction. I actually looked at
- 4:09Speaker 3: both dugouts and I saw the Brewers too. And no
- 4:12Speaker 3: one really hung their head there. Everyone was just looking
- 4:14Speaker 3: straight up.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I love that you're deep diving, grabbing videos and dugout shots.
- 4:19Speaker 1: This is a new side of you I've never seen.
- 4:22Speaker 1: This is amazing. Hey, I want to point out too,
- 4:25Speaker 1: like I played in the Central for a while. And
- 4:27Speaker 1: before going to Chicago, I played Cincinnati. And I was
- 4:30Speaker 1: there when CeCe was in Milwaukee playing. those shadows to
- 4:34Speaker 1: start that game are as tough as you're, as you're
- 4:36Speaker 1: going to see. It was, you know, Logan Henderson's got
- 4:39Speaker 1: that nasty change up, thought he was going to be
- 4:41Speaker 1: unhittable Padres again, take a two Oh lead pretty early on,
- 4:46Speaker 1: you know, they're up to Oh, and, uh, and the brewers, man,
- 4:49Speaker 1: the brewers fight, they do not give away anything.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Yup.
- 4:53Speaker 1: They put pressure on you. The speed, the defense, the pitching,
- 4:58Speaker 1: like they've got power. Um, Yeah, man, I wanted to
- 5:02Speaker 1: let you talk, but I had to bring up those shadows.
- 5:06Speaker 1: It's hard. You know how that is. You played that
- 5:09Speaker 1: league for a long time, that division. It's tough, those
- 5:11Speaker 1: day games there.
- 5:12Speaker 3: It's really hard. And I think when we were watching
- 5:16Speaker 3: this game, I texted our group chat. It's me, Rossi,
- 5:19Speaker 3: and our producer, Chris Chan. I'm like, Michael King coming out,
- 5:24Speaker 3: only 72 pitches? That's their ace. He's a stud. Future
- 5:29Speaker 3: Cub Michael King, I'm manifesting that. And originally I thought, okay,
- 5:35Speaker 3: maybe short rest, but no, he was on full rest.
- 5:37Speaker 3: And it worked out right. They got to Mason Miller
- 5:41Speaker 3: in the ninth. But in my opinion, by pulling him
- 5:44Speaker 3: a little early, you have to set up guys now
- 5:47Speaker 3: where Mason Miller has to throw the six out save,
- 5:50Speaker 3: unless I was already predetermined going into the day. You're
- 5:52Speaker 3: the manager. What do you think?
- 5:55Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I mean, I think... when you've got to
- 5:59Speaker 1: ask your closure to get multiple innings, it's tough. Like
- 6:03Speaker 1: I don't mind getting an inning in a third, you know,
- 6:07Speaker 1: if you've got to get the third out in the
- 6:09Speaker 1: eighth and then lock it down in the ninth, but, um,
- 6:12Speaker 1: six outs is asking a lot. Now, Mason Miller is
- 6:15Speaker 1: one of the best pitchers on the planet. You know,
- 6:17Speaker 1: it's hard not to go to him when you're managing,
- 6:19Speaker 1: but they've got so many good, um, You know, Jason Adam,
- 6:24Speaker 1: maybe he was sore from yesterday. More home to a
- 6:26Speaker 1: lot of pitches yesterday. Maybe he was down. But they've
- 6:30Speaker 1: got a deep bullpen. And like you said, all that
- 6:33Speaker 1: stuff happens. You don't trust your starter or pulling after,
- 6:37Speaker 1: you know, 72 pitches. That's going to catch up with
- 6:40Speaker 1: you on the back end. I didn't mind it in
- 6:43Speaker 1: the moment because I thought everybody would be fresh. You
- 6:45Speaker 1: still got Jason Asmore home. and then Miller closes out
- 6:48Speaker 1: the night. So asking him to get six outs is
- 6:51Speaker 1: really difficult, and you know it's a big task when
- 6:54Speaker 1: you ask that as a manager. So there's a lot
- 6:56Speaker 1: of things that led up to that, but the Padres
- 6:58Speaker 1: looked really good until they didn't.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Yeah, and two, you looked up. I don't believe anyone
- 7:04Speaker 3: was warming up for the Padres either. Mason Miller is
- 7:07Speaker 3: their guy. He ends up throwing 40 pitches. I know
- 7:10Speaker 3: they have an off day tomorrow, but, bro, this puts
- 7:12Speaker 3: them in a hole. the Padres.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Well, that's what shocks me. Like, you know, again, if
- 7:17Speaker 1: Jason Adam is sore, more home sore, but maybe you
- 7:21Speaker 1: mix and match those two guys with an off day,
- 7:24Speaker 1: the next day, um, only Craig Salmon knows how they feel.
- 7:29Speaker 1: You know, we're not going to know that stuff and what,
- 7:31Speaker 1: what that communication is. And you try to lean on, um,
- 7:34Speaker 1: they've your coaches and, and having those conversations, but, um,
- 7:39Speaker 1: that's what leads to, to what happened, you know, from, for,
- 7:41Speaker 1: in my opinion. Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 3: And, I think, too, this is a great game to
- 7:47Speaker 3: spotlight or highlight the Milwaukee Brewers all year. This is
- 7:52Speaker 3: who they were all year. They're relentless. They don't give up.
- 7:55Speaker 3: They don't give in. They keep grinding. Pat Murphy went
- 7:58Speaker 3: to Gary Sanchez on the bench. Works an insane walk.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Insane walk. To get to Churrio. And then he just
- 8:07Speaker 3: puts in a 100-mile-an-hour ball and play up the middle, right?
- 8:10Speaker 3: Not trying to do too much. I mean, hit... it's just,
- 8:14Speaker 3: this is who they are. And this is why they're
- 8:17Speaker 3: the team to beat. And right now, right. It's them
- 8:21Speaker 3: and the Dodgers, right. In the national league. I know
- 8:23Speaker 3: I have the Padres winning this series, but this team
- 8:25Speaker 3: is good, man.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Yeah. And the deciding factor, I mean, walking through that
- 8:29Speaker 1: at bat a little bit from, from Cheerio, it was
- 8:31Speaker 1: a great at bat. Mason Miller's going back and forth,
- 8:34Speaker 1: blowing some fastballs by him. Throws a two, two breaking ball.
- 8:37Speaker 1: That was really non-competitive, a short, um, you know took.
- 8:42Speaker 3: That breaking ball that like he knew it was coming
- 8:45Speaker 3: i'm just saying yeah yeah maybe they did who knows
- 8:48Speaker 3: maybe when guys are 101 and they guys take breaking
- 8:53Speaker 3: balls that easily i'm like oh i start looking for
- 8:56Speaker 3: the i like start looking for tips all over.
- 8:59Speaker 1: He's locked in cheerio you know he's for for such
- 9:02Speaker 1: a young guy man he is he's so locked in
- 9:04Speaker 1: it's um He's a star in our game already, and
- 9:08Speaker 1: he's going to be around a really long time. They
- 9:10Speaker 1: got him on a good team from the deal. But
- 9:12Speaker 1: taking that 2-2 breaking ball, you knew what was coming 3-2.
- 9:16Speaker 3: No doubt.
- 9:17Speaker 1: What's impressed me about again, I've talked about this before,
- 9:21Speaker 1: but the young guys and then moments within this, these games,
- 9:26Speaker 1: the fact that they're getting those hits up the middle,
- 9:28Speaker 1: the other way, like not trying to pull it off,
- 9:30Speaker 1: not knowing you're getting a hundred plus that you're still
- 9:33Speaker 1: staying up the middle and driving the ball to right
- 9:35Speaker 1: center is really impressive to me. I, you know, like
- 9:39Speaker 1: just coming from a bad hitter, but like, it's a
- 9:42Speaker 1: pretty dang, pretty dang impressive and impressive Cheerios, 22 years old.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 9:48Speaker 3: But, 22 with over 1,000 career OPS in the playoffs.
- 9:52Speaker 3: I know it's only, what, two or three years, but
- 9:55Speaker 3: he's done 20-20 for the first three years to start
- 9:58Speaker 3: his career. Just a young, special player. And like you said,
- 10:02Speaker 3: going oppo. And William Contreras yesterday going oppo as well.
- 10:06Speaker 3: These dudes are proving why they're the best, and to
- 10:10Speaker 3: get off to this good start is... Got to be
- 10:13Speaker 3: a good feeling for Pat Murphy and the rest of
- 10:14Speaker 3: that Milwaukee Brewers organization.
- 10:16Speaker 1: No doubt. And what they do, what they've done all year,
- 10:19Speaker 1: you said it earlier, like this is what they do,
- 10:21Speaker 1: but they put pressure on you with their speed. You
- 10:24Speaker 1: got an infield hit there. Cronenworth had to come up
- 10:27Speaker 1: fast and throw that ball away. Guy's moving down the line,
- 10:31Speaker 1: throws away, and gets him within one run, right? You're
- 10:34Speaker 1: pitching a little bit different if it's a two-run lead,
- 10:36Speaker 1: if you're Miller on the mound. That one-run game makes
- 10:39Speaker 1: it really, really difficult, and you've got no margin for error.
- 10:42Speaker 1: The home runs in the back of your mind, just
- 10:45Speaker 1: a lot of really good baseball and pressure that the
- 10:50Speaker 1: Milwaukee Brewers can put on you, and it showed up today.
- 10:53Speaker 3: No doubt. Off day tomorrow, Dustin May will go for
- 10:56Speaker 3: the Brewers in game three with Nick Pavetta. The Padres
- 10:59Speaker 3: are in a hole. Hopefully they can win the first one. Obviously,
- 11:04Speaker 3: it's win or go home now. But that home field
- 11:06Speaker 3: advantage in Petco is legit. Before we move on to
- 11:10Speaker 3: the Dodgers, I have an actually really good story, funny
- 11:14Speaker 3: story about Craig Stammen. I don't know if I wanted
- 11:16Speaker 3: to say it or not. When I was a young, young,
- 11:19Speaker 3: young lad, my first year was Chicago. 2012. We were struggling.
- 11:27Speaker 3: We were on our way to losing 100 games. It
- 11:29Speaker 3: was September, and I was in a little rut. So
- 11:32Speaker 3: a couple of vets on the team, well, not really vets.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Travis Wood wasn't a vet at the time, but he
- 11:38Speaker 3: was older than me. Starter and Jeff Samarja pulled me aside.
- 11:42Speaker 3: It's like, we're getting blown out by the Nationals. We're
- 11:45Speaker 3: losing 9-0, and I'm struggling. And they say, hey, you
- 11:47Speaker 3: need to have a rally beer. I'm like, what? So
- 11:51Speaker 3: they bring me into in the Nationals clubhouse, sneak me
- 11:55Speaker 3: a rally beer, chug a beer, and I go out
- 11:58Speaker 3: and hit an absolute nuke off Craig Stammen. First time
- 12:01Speaker 3: I had ever done anything like that. Dead center. Probably
- 12:05Speaker 3: one of the farthest balls I ever hit in my career.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Really? And rally beers took you all the way to
- 12:12Speaker 1: the World Series.
- 12:13Speaker 3: I mean, let's be honest. Well, foreshadowing, you know, six
- 12:17Speaker 3: years later, or four years later, whatever it was, but
- 12:21Speaker 3: Put us on the board, Rossi. We lost the game
- 12:23Speaker 3: 9-1 instead of 9-0.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Hey, yeah, that's all right. You got your homework.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Craig Stammen happened to be the pitcher.
- 12:30Speaker 1: That is a really good story. That is a really
- 12:32Speaker 1: good story. I do want to– a couple notes I
- 12:35Speaker 1: took down. The Yelly in the fifth to get him
- 12:39Speaker 1: on the board, the two-out double, and then Freilich, Sal
- 12:43Speaker 1: Freilich comes up with that big hit. Great at bat
- 12:45Speaker 1: by Yelly.
- 12:45Speaker 3: On base three times.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Yeah. He had a really good game. And you already
- 12:49Speaker 1: highlighted the Gary Sanchez– At bat, man, what an A-B.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Coming off the bench facing that kind of stuff is ridiculous.
- 12:58Speaker 3: And, too, there was five errors total in the game.
- 13:01Speaker 3: But there was, I felt like, overall, watching that game,
- 13:03Speaker 3: guys made plays, man.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Guys made plays. And, I mean, this is the playoffs, man, bro.
- 13:09Speaker 3: This is October. This is why these games are a must-watch.
- 13:14Speaker 1: And now we go to Petco. Like you said, we
- 13:17Speaker 1: got action at Petco.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Should be pretty fun. Yeah, we do. Rossi. The Atlanta Braves,
- 13:23Speaker 3: Ray Kerr and Didier Fuentes. Ever heard of them?
- 13:29Speaker 1: I mean, Ray Kerr got on the map because he
- 13:31Speaker 1: dealt against the Phillies to get him in his position.
- 13:34Speaker 1: But that guy's got ice in his veins, bro. Like,
- 13:37Speaker 1: he just goes out and does his thing. It was, again, like,
- 13:42Speaker 1: his heart rate's got to be so low. It just,
- 13:46Speaker 1: the arming, let's take a low slot and just... Guys
- 13:50Speaker 1: didn't see it. It looks like he's got multiple breaking
- 13:51Speaker 1: balls that change up. The fastball looked like it cuts
- 13:55Speaker 1: in there. His stuff looks nasty, man, and just like
- 13:58Speaker 1: a funky little angle. He was looking jamming like Mookie
- 14:01Speaker 1: Betts in the first at bat in a 3-1 count,
- 14:03Speaker 1: getting him rolling over balls. I don't think guys pick
- 14:05Speaker 1: him up at all.
- 14:07Speaker 3: No doubt. I mean, bro, what he did against the Phillies,
- 14:09Speaker 3: then he comes in today, just unbelievable, right? Two and two-thirds,
- 14:14Speaker 3: two hits, no runs, four Ks to set the tone
- 14:18Speaker 3: for the Braves. Dubon with an RBI single in the
- 14:22Speaker 3: first off Blake Snell. Blake Snell was not very sharp,
- 14:26Speaker 3: and that's one of the things that I was worried
- 14:29Speaker 3: about going into this Dodgers team going for this 3P is, yes,
- 14:35Speaker 3: they're healthy, but I don't think all of their guys
- 14:37Speaker 3: are as sharp as they'd like to be heading and
- 14:40Speaker 3: where they're at right now in the season.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Good point, and I think you get that with Blake Snell.
- 14:44Speaker 1: He kind of rides the– or walks the tightrope So
- 14:49Speaker 1: to speak, he's in a lot of deep counts, but
- 14:51Speaker 1: he usually wiggles his way out of there. And he
- 14:52Speaker 1: did that again today. It just cost him. I think
- 14:54Speaker 1: he had 90 pitches after three and two thirds, like,
- 14:58Speaker 1: you know, just a lot. And then, then your bullpen
- 15:00Speaker 1: is going to expose unless it's extremely deep and somebody, somebody,
- 15:04Speaker 1: and they still threw well, the Dodgers guys did, but
- 15:06Speaker 1: the Braves bullpen just stepped up. I thought it was
- 15:09Speaker 1: Robert Suarez coming in first and second, nobody out on
- 15:12Speaker 1: the road and getting three outs. Like that was, huge
- 15:17Speaker 1: other momentum stop right there and then like you said
- 15:19Speaker 1: fuentes just absolutely shoved right up in there till till
- 15:23Speaker 1: he had to come see max muncy with two outs
- 15:25Speaker 1: up to i i love that he made him hit
- 15:28Speaker 1: a home run there like that that was that to
- 15:30Speaker 1: me you hate to walk and then you got action
- 15:33Speaker 1: like he gets me he gets me max muncy was
- 15:35Speaker 1: ready for it hit an absolute bomb to make it
- 15:37Speaker 1: three two and then they bring in iglesias to lock
- 15:40Speaker 1: it down like that was that was um Walt Weiss
- 15:43Speaker 1: says there's a lot of credit. Sometimes things are scripted,
- 15:46Speaker 1: and you've got guys for different positions in the lineup
- 15:49Speaker 1: and different innings. He just said, I'm going to sit
- 15:52Speaker 1: back and watch. This guy's absolutely carving. I think he had, like,
- 15:56Speaker 1: what did he have, like, 14 up, 14 down or
- 15:59Speaker 1: something crazy?
- 15:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I wrote down somewhere, but he went on an absolute run,
- 16:05Speaker 1: and that was the ballgame, dude. Those two young guys
- 16:10Speaker 1: were the ballgame.
- 16:10Speaker 3: He was nasty, bro.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:12Speaker 3: This is obviously me nitpicking, sitting on my couch, drinking
- 16:15Speaker 3: a beer, right? But the only thing I would say
- 16:19Speaker 3: is the 2-2 pitch to Muncy, he threw his off speed.
- 16:23Speaker 3: And I said, go after him, you're up two, right? Like,
- 16:27Speaker 3: challenge him with the heater, because then Max Muncy, the
- 16:29Speaker 3: veteran he is, knows he fouled off what would have
- 16:32Speaker 3: probably been ball four as a heater. So, Muncy says,
- 16:37Speaker 3: the pitcher thinks, oh damn, good thing he swung at
- 16:39Speaker 3: that ball four, he's going to come with a heater.
- 16:41Speaker 3: And Muncy unloaded on it so yeah obviously it didn't
- 16:44Speaker 3: come back to bite him but it was a.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Playback it was like what we were talking about with
- 16:48Speaker 1: Chirio like you when you get to that three two
- 16:50Speaker 1: count you got nowhere to put them like they know
- 16:52Speaker 1: you're going to throw a fastball another one that stood
- 16:55Speaker 1: out to me uh Henriquez I think how you say
- 16:59Speaker 1: it uh the guy that throws uh hard in the
- 17:01Speaker 1: bullpen for um for the Dodgers he threw a with
- 17:06Speaker 1: Olsen on first a two two count to Acuna or
- 17:10Speaker 1: to Harris I'm sorry and that breaking ball, and then
- 17:13Speaker 1: he had to come see him, and Olsen got the
- 17:16Speaker 1: 3-2 jump, got to running, and then Harris hits the double,
- 17:20Speaker 1: and he scores because he didn't come see him 2-2.
- 17:23Speaker 1: You know, that's a lot of times with two outs,
- 17:25Speaker 1: 2-2 count, a guy on first base, you've got to understand, like,
- 17:29Speaker 1: it's almost like pitching like a base is open because
- 17:31Speaker 1: that guy's in motion. I always thought that as a catcher. Yeah,
- 17:34Speaker 1: that's a good point. The guys at second base, you
- 17:37Speaker 1: kind of got a base open there. You're not forced
- 17:39Speaker 1: to come see them with a fastball right there. Just
- 17:41Speaker 1: some of the little things in the game that I noticed.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Enriquez Cutter was like 96 and he's second velocity behind
- 17:49Speaker 1: Mason Miller out of the bullpen in the whole league.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Braves at bats. Michael Harris is a beast.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Beast, bro. Beast. That triple that he hit, right? It's
- 18:00Speaker 3: funny because Austin Wells went for three and in their
- 18:05Speaker 3: game with the Yankees and gets thrown out at third,
- 18:07Speaker 3: Michael Harris hits that triple, and it ends up paying
- 18:10Speaker 3: dividends because there's a pass ball. It gives them that
- 18:12Speaker 3: insurance run. So obviously you have to be safe at third,
- 18:15Speaker 3: and Michael Harris was cruising to third. Wells was out
- 18:19Speaker 3: by four steps. But it's that extra 90 feet, man.
- 18:23Speaker 3: If you can get it, get it. Just because the
- 18:25Speaker 3: unwritten rules of the game say, no, stop at second
- 18:28Speaker 3: with two outs or don't lead off with a triple,
- 18:31Speaker 3: don't make the first– If you got it, go get
- 18:33Speaker 3: it because every 90 feet in October matters.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a catcher running versus a center fielder. It's
- 18:40Speaker 1: a little heavy.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Bro, these are the things.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Legs a little heavy.
- 18:44Speaker 3: Part of the game, right? If you're a young player
- 18:47Speaker 3: watching this, the little things that go into big leaguers' minds.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Max Muncy knew he was getting a fastball in that
- 18:55Speaker 3: 3-2 count. You couldn't walk him, right? Michael Harris grinding
- 19:00Speaker 3: out at bats as a pitcher. okay, this runner's in motion.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Like you said, maybe I could, you know, go to
- 19:06Speaker 3: a different pitch knowing that it's basically like a runner
- 19:09Speaker 3: on second. So there's just so many little things that
- 19:13Speaker 3: the box score won't tell you that happens within the game.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Right. Right. That was impressive game, man. I, I, I
- 19:20Speaker 1: thought the brave stole, stole that, but like, that's what
- 19:23Speaker 1: the probably newspaper will say tomorrow, but they played better baseball. They,
- 19:26Speaker 1: they pitched better, got timely hits. And, um, you know, the,
- 19:30Speaker 1: the smooth, clean defense, you know, just nothing happened. Uh,
- 19:34Speaker 1: Dodgers walked eight guys. Like, you know, when you get,
- 19:37Speaker 1: when you get to that bullpen and you have to use,
- 19:39Speaker 1: you know, seven guys, they use all, but, uh, Scott
- 19:43Speaker 1: and another lefty in the pen, I believe, um, for
- 19:46Speaker 1: the Dodgers, they use almost everybody to get through that. And,
- 19:49Speaker 1: you know, some is going to have a bad day
- 19:51Speaker 1: in there. So a walks a lot of us, Blake
- 19:53Speaker 1: Snell didn't have his best command leg. The stuff was there,
- 19:56Speaker 1: just not a feel for his secondary stuff. And Michael Harris,
- 20:00Speaker 1: three for five with a triple, like the brave, feeling
- 20:04Speaker 1: good going back to Atlanta tonight.
- 20:06Speaker 3: They have to be with Chris sale going, um, But
- 20:10Speaker 3: let's talk Dodgers. Freddie Freeman, solo homer off Grant Holmes.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Only his second home run since the All-Star break. When
- 20:16Speaker 3: I heard that, I was like, what? But Freddie's a pro.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I think he's been banged up. I think he's been
- 20:21Speaker 1: banged up since– remember when he fell in the dugout?
- 20:24Speaker 1: I think Sean Case was talking about that on– Shout
- 20:27Speaker 1: out to the mayor. Yeah. Yeah, shout out Case. Yeah, man,
- 20:32Speaker 1: I think, like, something he's probably just banged up. And
- 20:36Speaker 1: I know he was working on some stuff on the
- 20:38Speaker 1: week off they had or the five days they had off.
- 20:40Speaker 1: And he had talked about that. I saw an interview.
- 20:43Speaker 1: So he had some right knee tendonitis issues. that I
- 20:46Speaker 1: know that's always going to affect the knees unless they
- 20:48Speaker 1: go tiny. That's just going to affect those guys. Dodgers
- 20:52Speaker 1: got Yamamoto going in Atlanta, so their train doesn't stop.
- 20:56Speaker 1: And then we might get a Chris Sale sighting.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Chris Sale, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, game three. The Dodgers have to
- 21:06Speaker 3: feel good with him on the mound, right? His October
- 21:08Speaker 3: pedigree is already amongst the all-time greats, what he's done
- 21:12Speaker 3: the last two years. And the Dodgers... star power offense
- 21:16Speaker 3: is just, it's a great sign that Freddie Freeman hit
- 21:19Speaker 3: the home run. Max Muncy, two home runs in as
- 21:22Speaker 3: many games. You just got guys, that lineup's so experienced.
- 21:28Speaker 3: They're so battle-tested that they are not phased going into
- 21:32Speaker 3: Atlanta facing Chris Sale. I know he's, Chris Sale's a beast,
- 21:38Speaker 3: but The Dodgers are going to grind him out, that's
- 21:42Speaker 3: for sure. So it's not just like, oh, we got
- 21:44Speaker 3: Chris Sale. Yeah, well, they got Yamamoto.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's two horses. It's not on lockdown.
- 21:51Speaker 1: One more I got to correct myself. 11 straight sat
- 21:55Speaker 1: down by Didier Fuentes. So three and two-thirds before that.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Homer almost closed that thing out.
- 22:02Speaker 1: 21 years old, bro.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:04Speaker 1: 21 years. He was in the big leagues last year,
- 22:06Speaker 1: struggled starting. last year in the big league sent him
- 22:09Speaker 1: down and calling him back up as a reliever and
- 22:13Speaker 1: he's went up i think they still see him as
- 22:14Speaker 1: a starter some of the research i did but i
- 22:16Speaker 1: looked at a rough go at 20 yeah effortless bro
- 22:20Speaker 1: like nasty easy cheese.
- 22:22Speaker 3: I don't people who are our viewers you don't understand
- 22:27Speaker 3: how much credit walt weiss deserves for leaving him in
- 22:31Speaker 3: like you said rossi there's there's scripts that all these
- 22:35Speaker 3: managers go over with their front office and their analytics
- 22:37Speaker 3: before games where, okay, this situation, they go over all
- 22:40Speaker 3: these different situations. But in October, it doesn't always go
- 22:44Speaker 3: according to plan. Look at in the first game with
- 22:46Speaker 3: Mason Miller, right? Best closer in the game for years,
- 22:50Speaker 3: gives it up. And Walt Weiss has a proven closer,
- 22:55Speaker 3: Rossell Iglesias down there, waiting, ready. And he goes, no,
- 22:58Speaker 3: I'm going to stay with Fuentes. And then obviously Iglesias
- 23:01Speaker 3: comes in and gets the final out. But now it's
- 23:04Speaker 3: like this game, the momentum now goes to Atlanta. One
- 23:08Speaker 3: thing to look for in game three is how deep
- 23:10Speaker 3: Chris Hill can go. Because if he can go deep,
- 23:13Speaker 3: that leaves Walt Weiss a lot of options, not only
- 23:16Speaker 3: for game three, but heading into game four, too. Because
- 23:19Speaker 3: you've got to win now. You know, this is two
- 23:22Speaker 3: out of three series now.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Well, Fuentes will probably be down, right? He'll probably, I mean,
- 23:26Speaker 1: three and two-thirds. I think that's the longest he's gone
- 23:29Speaker 1: all year.
- 23:31Speaker 3: He's 21 years old, Rossi. He should be fine.
- 23:34Speaker 1: The one thing that jumped out to me when you
- 23:37Speaker 1: were just talking, and not to jump back to the Padres,
- 23:41Speaker 1: but we talk about the top of the lineup. You
- 23:45Speaker 1: don't factor in the top of the lineup when you
- 23:47Speaker 1: have their kind of bullpen during the regular season. They
- 23:51Speaker 1: weren't worried about, they knew they had more at home.
- 23:53Speaker 1: They knew they had Jason Adams. They weren't worried about
- 23:55Speaker 1: the top of the lineup during the regular season. But
- 23:57Speaker 1: all of a sudden, sometimes in the postseason, we can
- 23:59Speaker 1: overthink things. It's like, Oh, I'm going to bring him
- 24:01Speaker 1: in because this is the highest leverage moments and just
- 24:04Speaker 1: play all the numbers rather than just keeping the roles
- 24:07Speaker 1: very similar to what guys have done and making them
- 24:10Speaker 1: be extremely comfortable and not asking him to get outside
- 24:12Speaker 1: of their comfort zone.
- 24:13Speaker 3: No, I'm so happy you said that because what got
- 24:16Speaker 3: you there is a team, right? And as soon as
- 24:21Speaker 3: buttons start getting pushed, that was like, what are we doing?
- 24:24Speaker 3: It's so easy for that team to start cracking, right?
- 24:28Speaker 3: There's definitely guys in the podger saying, fuck, man, why
- 24:30Speaker 3: don't we throw Adams or why don't we do this?
- 24:32Speaker 3: It's natural. It's natural as a player. I think that
- 24:39Speaker 3: the Braves right now, these guys are organically turning in
- 24:44Speaker 3: to these stars now. Ray Kerr, Fuentes today. Ray Kerr,
- 24:50Speaker 3: twice now he's done this. He's turning into this. It's
- 24:52Speaker 3: not being forced. That's where you see these October heroes.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Madison Bumgarner wasn't forced to do anything he was great
- 25:00Speaker 3: for him he organically turned into.
- 25:02Speaker 1: He got the opportunity and owned it he i got
- 25:05Speaker 1: the opportunity to dominate.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Yamamoto last year after 300 pitches comes back the next
- 25:10Speaker 3: day and earned it right he earned that status now
- 25:15Speaker 3: it's it nothing was forced on these october heroes and
- 25:18Speaker 3: sometimes when you see it go south it's it's kind
- 25:20Speaker 3: of like a forced issue in my opinion.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Yeah no doubt no doubt you're 100 right it's um
- 25:26Speaker 1: It's fun to see guys. I just love the narrative.
- 25:30Speaker 1: The Dodgers are going to win the whole thing. The
- 25:32Speaker 1: Braves feel like we've got nothing to lose, and they're
- 25:34Speaker 1: playing like it. I mean, they played as clean a
- 25:37Speaker 1: game today and beat the Dodgers handily.
- 25:41Speaker 3: How good are these four teams?
- 25:43Speaker 1: They're good, yeah.
- 25:44Speaker 3: The four National League teams are good. The three national
- 25:49Speaker 3: teams that don't make it to the World Series will
- 25:51Speaker 3: all be saying, fuck, we could have beat that team
- 25:53Speaker 3: in the American League, right? So that's how good the
- 25:57Speaker 3: National League is. Today was a great day of baseball.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Thank you for tuning in for Rossi and I talking
- 26:05Speaker 3: our playoff coverage. We love covering it. We love taking
- 26:08Speaker 3: questions at the end of our segments. The Tim Buss
- 26:12Speaker 3: Ball Bag Questions of the Day. It's our daily mailbag
- 26:15Speaker 3: where you can email us at rossinrizzo at gmail.com Leave
- 26:19Speaker 3: us comments on our YouTube or on our socials. We
- 26:22Speaker 3: love hearing from you. Last few days we had Someone
- 26:24Speaker 3: from South Africa asking us questions from the UK. So
- 26:28Speaker 3: all around the world, prestige worldwide.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Worldwide. Worldwide. Hey, let me start it off. Brad Barber.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Thanks for emailing us here. Brad, what makes a change-up
- 26:38Speaker 1: so hard to hit? Why do pitchers with exceptional change-ups
- 26:42Speaker 1: seem to do so well? What makes some teams better
- 26:45Speaker 1: able to handle it, like the Padres against Logan Henderson?
- 26:49Speaker 1: So let me give me my catching. I'll give the
- 26:52Speaker 1: catching perspective and you give the hitting because I love
- 26:55Speaker 1: a changeup. We used to call it like a straight baller, right?
- 26:59Speaker 1: If a guy could hit a changeup, his bat was
- 27:01Speaker 1: in the zone a long time and he was a
- 27:03Speaker 1: straight baller. So you wanted to, Mike Borzello, shout out Borzy,
- 27:08Speaker 1: would talk about spinning guys more with getting some depth
- 27:11Speaker 1: on the pitches rather than straight balls where guys would
- 27:13Speaker 1: stay in the zone for a long time. Now, a
- 27:15Speaker 1: good changeup, what sells a good changeup is arm speed.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Like if you give a full arm action and really
- 27:22Speaker 1: throw it just like your fastball, throw it hard. The
- 27:24Speaker 1: guys that have good ones, it's got depth to it.
- 27:26Speaker 1: It's usually moving away from you, a left-hander away from
- 27:28Speaker 1: the righty or righty away from the lefty. Uh, some
- 27:31Speaker 1: of these guys that you've seen, they kind of got
- 27:33Speaker 1: these funky grips, um, uh, can, can pull cut one
- 27:38Speaker 1: or almost like split finger action to one. But, um,
- 27:41Speaker 1: the thing that sells the splitty and the change is
- 27:43Speaker 1: just the arm action for me.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Yeah. It's, You think 97's coming, then they pull the
- 27:49Speaker 3: chute on you and it's 87. It's coming out of
- 27:53Speaker 3: the same plane and it's coming on the same level.
- 27:57Speaker 3: I say this all the time. One of my arch
- 28:00Speaker 3: nemesis playing baseball was Chase Anderson. He was a four-seam
- 28:03Speaker 3: fastball at 94, 95 and a changeup. Had a long career,
- 28:08Speaker 3: but he didn't light up the radar gun. He didn't
- 28:10Speaker 3: light up the numbers. He wasn't you know, a Cy
- 28:13Speaker 3: Young award winner by any means, but his changeup was
- 28:15Speaker 3: so nasty. It's an equalizer. And now these guys are
- 28:20Speaker 3: throwing harder than ever at the top of the zone
- 28:23Speaker 3: and they're breaking off these sliders and sweepers and curve
- 28:27Speaker 3: balls off of it. So the tunneling is so good
- 28:32Speaker 3: where usually guys, you could see the slider or the
- 28:36Speaker 3: curve ball pop. You still could, but the changeup is just,
- 28:40Speaker 3: you think it's a fastball. And then all of a sudden...
- 28:42Speaker 3: It looks just like a fastball. Exactly. So, guys.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Hey, one nugget as I thought about that. This is
- 28:48Speaker 1: a little nugget for you that I don't know if
- 28:49Speaker 1: you knew. Didier Fuentes throws the fastball with three fingers.
- 28:56Speaker 1: He got a blister.
- 28:57Speaker 3: The three-finger fastball.
- 28:58Speaker 1: All right. The three-finger fastball. He used to throw with two.
- 29:02Speaker 1: He used to throw with two and got a blister.
- 29:04Speaker 1: I think it was a blister on this one right here.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Oh, nice.
- 29:06Speaker 1: I love you, too. And then... No, but seriously, I
- 29:10Speaker 1: was like, read this article. He throws a three-finger fastball.
- 29:14Speaker 1: I want that at 100.
- 29:14Speaker 3: There we go. Here we go now.
- 29:16Speaker 1: We got nuggets everywhere. Sorry.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Hey, good luck to the rest of the league next
- 29:20Speaker 3: year because now all these pitchers are going to say, ooh,
- 29:23Speaker 3: the three-finger fastball. I'm telling you, they're making up pitches
- 29:27Speaker 3: in this league.
- 29:28Speaker 1: And we're going to rename it. We're going to rename
- 29:31Speaker 1: it on the board.
- 29:31Speaker 3: We're going to rename it.
- 29:33Speaker 1: All right.
- 29:33Speaker 3: This next email is from Ray Mears. Do you think?
- 29:38Speaker 3: MLB will ever go to full-time ABS instead of umpire calls?
- 29:43Speaker 3: That's a good question. I don't think so, right? I
- 29:47Speaker 3: hope not either.
- 29:47Speaker 1: I hope not. It's been impressive how good the challenges
- 29:52Speaker 1: have been between the catchers and the hitters. And it's like,
- 29:57Speaker 1: This close, but they know the strike zone. There's been
- 29:59Speaker 1: some really, really good challenges. I thought the Milwaukee-Padre game
- 30:04Speaker 1: was excellent. Contreras behind the plate, the hitters. Like, that
- 30:07Speaker 1: was really impressive. I mean, maybe we should be bashing
- 30:10Speaker 1: the umpire, but to me, when guys challenge and have
- 30:13Speaker 1: that much conviction and it's that close, I thought it
- 30:15Speaker 1: was really impressive the confidence they have and knowing the
- 30:17Speaker 1: strike zone as well as they did.
- 30:19Speaker 3: No doubt. I think, too, today watching that Brewers game,
- 30:25Speaker 3: I was getting frustrated because as these games have gone on,
- 30:29Speaker 3: there's been a handful of games now this October. It's
- 30:32Speaker 3: evident you need to save these challenges for the ninth
- 30:34Speaker 3: inning because you, I mean, a game ended on a challenge,
- 30:39Speaker 3: the Phillies game, right? When they beat the Braves to
- 30:40Speaker 3: force a game three. If they don't have that challenge,
- 30:43Speaker 3: they can't challenge. It's a ball for who knows what happens.
- 30:46Speaker 3: So I get frustrated when, you know, there's a ball
- 30:51Speaker 3: that looks like a inch and a half to two
- 30:54Speaker 3: inches off the plate or out of the strike zone.
- 30:57Speaker 3: And these umpires are forcing players to challenge early, right?
- 31:02Speaker 3: Usually in the playoffs, the strike zone shrinks. But I
- 31:04Speaker 3: feel like today watching some of these calls, I was like, man,
- 31:07Speaker 3: that's a big zone. And he's forcing these guys to
- 31:10Speaker 3: challenge these pitches. And if you get one wrong early,
- 31:14Speaker 3: you're screwed the rest of the game. You have to
- 31:15Speaker 3: save it. So I think what I would like to
- 31:18Speaker 3: see is an extra challenge.
- 31:21Speaker 1: I like that.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Let the guys go three challenges. Because you don't, like,
- 31:26Speaker 3: It almost eliminates the purpose of these challenges if you
- 31:28Speaker 3: can't challenge balls and strikes at command, right?
- 31:32Speaker 1: Or maybe you get an extra one in extra innings
- 31:35Speaker 1: or something. I like that idea. The thing that stands
- 31:37Speaker 1: out to me with it, though, is like, man, thank
- 31:41Speaker 1: God we have the challenge system in the postseason now. Because, like,
- 31:46Speaker 1: these are the most important games, and the last thing
- 31:48Speaker 1: you want is, you know, calls not to go your way. And, like,
- 31:51Speaker 1: it's taken a lot of the drama out of it.
- 31:53Speaker 1: It's just like, no, I know that's a ball. And
- 31:55Speaker 1: umpires have missed a lot. They've missed a ton, and
- 31:57Speaker 1: that's a big freaking deal. I know it's a big
- 32:00Speaker 1: deal during the season, too, but in the postseason when
- 32:02Speaker 1: everybody's watching, that's a big freaking deal when you have seven—
- 32:08Speaker 1: Paul is overturned in a day. Think about that. Seven
- 32:11Speaker 1: balls and strikes. Taking the count from 3-1 to 2-2.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Just different moments. Ball fours or strikeouts.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Mookie would add ball four and he didn't challenge. You
- 32:22Speaker 3: know what I mean? I think a good thing too,
- 32:25Speaker 3: which I've always said this, is the Uprighters have earpieces in.
- 32:28Speaker 3: So even with the ABS system, they have a talkback.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Someone can talk in their ear. If a guy's missing
- 32:37Speaker 3: a certain location that day, maybe they just don't understand
- 32:41Speaker 3: they're missing that and be like, hey, you're a little–
- 32:43Speaker 3: those pitches are down.
- 32:45Speaker 1: You're a little wide. A little wide on the outside. Right?
- 32:47Speaker 1: A little wide. Right?
- 32:48Speaker 3: You're consistently wide, so then they can make the in-game adjustment.
- 32:52Speaker 3: They're the best in the world. Yeah. I always said that, and– who?
- 32:57Speaker 3: I don't know. I'm a media member now, so.
- 32:59Speaker 1: We can say whatever we want. We say it with
- 33:03Speaker 1: all due respect. We say it with all due respect, sir.
- 33:05Speaker 1: We can say.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Whatever I want.
- 33:07Speaker 1: All right, email from Nancy Opitz. Opitz, is that how
- 33:12Speaker 1: I'm going to say that right? Did either of you
- 33:14Speaker 1: play any other sports besides baseball growing up? If so,
- 33:17Speaker 1: do you feel it helped in any way with your
- 33:19Speaker 1: baseball career development? I did. I played it all growing up.
- 33:24Speaker 1: I played soccer, basketball, football, baseball. that's probably about the
- 33:29Speaker 1: extent of it but when I got to high school
- 33:32Speaker 1: I stopped playing football and just played basketball and baseball
- 33:35Speaker 1: and basketball probably my favorite sport I loved it kept
- 33:38Speaker 1: me in shape I feel like baseball is a lot
- 33:42Speaker 1: of lower half quick feet especially exchanges throwing down to
- 33:46Speaker 1: second for me busting out explosive moves basketball I felt
- 33:49Speaker 1: like it helped me a ton and it also like
- 33:52Speaker 1: gave my body and my arm and my knees a
- 33:54Speaker 1: chance to rest a little bit we're talking about um
- 33:56Speaker 1: you know the longevity of the careers that we had.
- 33:59Speaker 3: You were worried about your knee getting rest on your
- 34:01Speaker 3: knees when you're 14 years old.
- 34:03Speaker 1: And who's oh i just sat in the corner and
- 34:05Speaker 1: shot no i wasn't no i'm looking back she's saying
- 34:08Speaker 1: looking back she's saying looking back yeah i think it's
- 34:10Speaker 1: just like a break from like the you already i
- 34:14Speaker 1: mean i think some kids play year-round now already we
- 34:18Speaker 1: played high school and then travel ball in the summer
- 34:20Speaker 1: so Like the fall was a nice little break leading
- 34:23Speaker 1: into basketball, which got me in shape, worked out for that,
- 34:26Speaker 1: stuff like that.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I loved it. I played pretty much every single
- 34:31Speaker 3: sport growing up. Soccer, football, hockey, basketball, baseball. When we
- 34:36Speaker 3: were in high school, we played ultimate Frisbee on Wednesdays
- 34:39Speaker 3: at the park. You know what I mean? You name it,
- 34:42Speaker 3: I was playing it. And then in high school, I
- 34:45Speaker 3: just played football and baseball. And then my junior year,
- 34:49Speaker 3: I just played baseball because... a guy by the name
- 34:52Speaker 3: of Denard Robinson, right? Was that from Michigan? Yeah, I
- 34:57Speaker 3: think that's right. We were on JV. That was the
- 35:01Speaker 3: defensive end. And me and the other defensive end were
- 35:04Speaker 3: blitzing him. I didn't know who he was at the time.
- 35:05Speaker 3: I just knew a few years later when he wasn't
- 35:06Speaker 3: tying his shoes at Michigan. Or as my cousin says,
- 35:10Speaker 3: the team from the north. And he stepped up in
- 35:15Speaker 3: the pocket. I was about to sack him. I was
- 35:17Speaker 3: feeling good. And he stepped up in the pocket for
- 35:19Speaker 3: the first time a quarterback ever stepped up in the pocket.
- 35:21Speaker 3: And me and the other DN just collided. And since
- 35:24Speaker 3: that day, I've had back issues, Rossi. So, stop playing.
- 35:30Speaker 1: She gone. She gone.
- 35:32Speaker 3: I think that playing different multiple sports helps young kids
- 35:36Speaker 3: not burn out at one sport. Helps with different adversities
- 35:40Speaker 3: through different sports.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Sure.
- 35:43Speaker 3: Overall, she's great.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Who knows you? Yeah. And two, like... it was cool
- 35:47Speaker 1: when I was growing up, like we had like Dion,
- 35:49Speaker 1: who was multiple sport athlete, Brian Jordan, Bo Jackson, like
- 35:54Speaker 1: who knows what your kid could be if you don't
- 35:55Speaker 1: let them play, you know, all the sports. So I think,
- 35:59Speaker 1: I think that's, it's super healthy. And I think most
- 36:02Speaker 1: people that we've been around would say the same.
- 36:06Speaker 3: Well, thanks everyone for listening on deck. We have the
- 36:10Speaker 3: Yankees and Rays game two White Sox guardians game two.
- 36:15Speaker 3: We still need to pull where we'd be more welcome, Rossi,
- 36:18Speaker 3: in the south side of Chicago, up north in Milwaukee,
- 36:23Speaker 3: or even in Cleveland. I'm sure they'd welcome us there
- 36:25Speaker 3: with open arms too.
- 36:26Speaker 1: I mean, I got Wednesday off. I can drive to Atlanta.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know.
- 36:30Speaker 3: Hey, you're a stud there.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:32Speaker 3: They love you there. Although Freddie's going to be there,
- 36:34Speaker 3: so he can overshadow you.
- 36:36Speaker 1: He definitely will.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Thanks again for listening, everyone. We'll be back tomorrow with
- 36:40Speaker 3: all of our hot takes, all of our reactions.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Peace.
