2:03
[SPEAKER_05]: Sitting down with Seth Olivia, I would say two, two, three, oh, eh.
2:07
[SPEAKER_05]: This is strictly for them, two big offense.
2:10
[SPEAKER_05]: Number one, one, of course, uh, this ain't all, and there is what's wrong.
2:13
[SPEAKER_05]: That might be that pitch tank.
2:15
[SPEAKER_08]: Welcome to Fish Tank Live, presented by Van Horn-Logru, and the Assebella Design Group, Seth Levitt here live from the Casabelle Design Group Studios, and I'm joined by the only live podcaster to bowl a perfect game.
2:28
[SPEAKER_08]: and lead the NFL and receptions.
2:30
[SPEAKER_08]: He is O. J. McDuffie juice.
2:33
[SPEAKER_08]: It's been a rough week, man.
2:34
[SPEAKER_08]: It's been a rough week, man.
2:35
[SPEAKER_06]: Big facts, though, man.
2:36
[SPEAKER_06]: Big facts.
2:36
[SPEAKER_06]: I want to start to show off, man.
2:38
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
2:38
[SPEAKER_06]: But all the positive shit that we have in our lives.
2:40
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, you do look it up.
2:42
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we had that.
2:44
[SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, I've been a rough week.
2:46
[SPEAKER_06]: For me, it's best, you know, man.
2:48
[SPEAKER_06]: I got weekend teams, though, big staff.
2:50
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I mean, if all else fails, I can't go over in three on the weekend.
2:53
[SPEAKER_06]: So my high school team won on Friday.
2:55
[SPEAKER_06]: And of course, my colleagues approach teams, you know, they took a shit Saturday and something.
2:59
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank goodness for Hawkins, right?
3:00
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, Hawkins, Hawkins, baby.
3:02
[SPEAKER_06]: They got to Hawkins Hawkins, man.
3:04
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, our quarterback is, I don't know if you guys remember this guy, but our quarterback's name is Donovan Morehead.
3:11
[SPEAKER_06]: his dad is Joe Morhead, you know, he's all.
3:14
[SPEAKER_06]: He's been around the league.
3:15
[SPEAKER_06]: He's actually, um, he's coaching at Akron right now.
3:19
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to try to get JT to see if he had any more years left in the eligibility.
3:22
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
3:22
[SPEAKER_06]: Go back to him, man.
3:23
[SPEAKER_06]: But his son is ripping him that average at about 370 yards a game.
3:27
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, he's on.
3:28
[SPEAKER_06]: He's on point, man.
3:29
[SPEAKER_06]: So we're, I can't wait to go see, I'm going to see them in the playoffs at the rest of my team's keep fucking up.
3:34
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, whoever's still buying.
3:35
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that's why I ride those pipe event too.
3:38
[SPEAKER_08]: I probably get it.
3:39
[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, totally get it.
3:41
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, listen, as always, even though you can't see him right now, we are joined by our producer, the legendary Savak.
3:48
[SPEAKER_08]: back in the fish tank live from a, an absence that was too long in my opinion, too long.
3:54
[SPEAKER_08]: We certainly missed him in the, and normal algorithm, legal zone, but he is something of calmness, South Florida, South, South, South, South, calmness, host of Dolphins deep dive with Perk.
4:05
[SPEAKER_08]: He is Chris Perk and so you can follow him at Chris Perk.
4:09
[SPEAKER_08]: I love, you know what I love Perk when you just wake up one day and you're like, I'm gonna spend the next two hours just going off on Twitter.
4:17
[SPEAKER_08]: But we're thrilled to have you back, my man, and of course, as always, the Heart and Soul Van Horn Law Group, our guy Chad Van Horn, or, if you're on an international flight, a guy known as, aren't you that guy from the show?
4:29
[SPEAKER_08]: So, Chad Van Horn has back here as well.
4:33
[SPEAKER_08]: It's all smiles right now fellas, which some people might be pissed off.
4:36
[SPEAKER_08]: The Ojemic Duffy tone check might be look I don't know what we're smiling about right Dolphins drop the one in for blue or the lead I don't have to rehash all that we're already at Wednesday.
4:46
[SPEAKER_08]: I want to look ahead Is it I can look ahead now We're always trying to look ahead because sometimes you have to do it juice and I think this is one of those times This is a review of preview show, man.
4:56
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, okay.
4:57
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, we're gonna do a little bit of that So look I'm gonna start right here.
4:59
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
5:00
[SPEAKER_08]: If we want to get into the nitty gritty
5:02
[SPEAKER_08]: How about are we going to be at vocampers this week?
5:04
[SPEAKER_08]: Shake money.
5:05
[SPEAKER_08]: There might you might get an appearance at vocampers from somebody, from somebody in there, because that whole crew, the worldwide dolphins club is raising money for the Jayce Taylor Foundation.
5:14
[SPEAKER_08]: So I appreciate that.
5:15
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, Perk, the day after the game, day after the game, I open up the Sun Sentinel, not the paper, SunSetinal.com, and Chris Perk is right.
5:27
[SPEAKER_08]: Mike McDonald, Chris Greer, cannot return in 2026.
5:33
[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen enough.
5:33
[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen enough.
5:34
[SPEAKER_02]: And here's the deal.
5:35
[SPEAKER_02]: I say they shouldn't return next season.
5:40
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm fine with them staying the rest of the season if, you know, especially like McDaniel, if he earns it.
5:47
[SPEAKER_02]: General managers are rarely fired during the season.
5:50
[SPEAKER_02]: I think the jets did it most recently a few years ago.
5:53
[SPEAKER_02]: but the way that it usually goes, the coach goes during the season, the GM goes after the season, the reason I'm there with Mike McDaniel is because this team has continued to underachieve and disappoint, and what we see at one in four is pretty much
6:11
[SPEAKER_02]: a point of no return.
6:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Now I'm aware of the 2016 dolphin scene started out one and four, then they discovered Jay and Jay and they got to the playoffs even with a backup quarterback Matt Moore finishing the job.
6:24
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see that happening with this team and the reason is there's no cavalry coming, right?
6:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Like Tyreq Hill is out, um, there's, you know, there's no Colleus Campbell or Jalen Ramsey that's coming off the inter-list.
6:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you could get James Daniels at Wright Guard and Austin Jackson at Wright Tackle.
6:43
[SPEAKER_02]: That might never be enough.
6:45
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but that's not going to be enough.
6:46
[SPEAKER_02]: So make a big Daniel.
6:48
[SPEAKER_02]: McDaniel right now is a 500 coach, right?
6:51
[SPEAKER_02]: He's 29 and 29, including the O and 2 record in the playoffs.
6:55
[SPEAKER_02]: And to me, when you've had the best talent this franchise has had in two decades, being a 500 team is not good enough.
7:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Being 4 and 16, entering the season against playoff teams is not good enough.
7:08
[SPEAKER_02]: Having two of the two intent entering the season against playoff teams over the last two years is not good enough.
7:16
[SPEAKER_02]: You don't see a lot of player development.
7:18
[SPEAKER_02]: You don't see a lot of hope under horizon.
7:21
[SPEAKER_02]: And now at this also, finally, I think players like Mike McDaniel.
7:26
[SPEAKER_02]: I think players respect Mike McDaniel, but I have a certain point players are going to stop listening to Mike McDaniel.
7:33
[SPEAKER_02]: And at that point, that's when you need to make the change.
7:37
[SPEAKER_06]: Hmm, that's that's very interesting.
7:41
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm you know, I think a lot of us have been on the roller coaster ride with Coach Mike.
7:46
[SPEAKER_06]: I do believe this though, Parker.
7:47
[SPEAKER_06]: I do think that we've gotten better as an offense, even though we haven't finished games obviously because we were wonderful before.
7:55
[SPEAKER_06]: Um, I think.
7:57
[SPEAKER_06]: I think for for sure that you look at some of these guys.
8:00
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, look, obviously, week one was a disaster.
8:03
[SPEAKER_06]: I thought we did okay, offensively and week two against the wingman.
8:06
[SPEAKER_06]: And, you know, then week three held.
8:09
[SPEAKER_06]: We're not supposed to even come close to doing well in Buffalo on a Thursday night.
8:12
[SPEAKER_06]: And they go out there and they play well.
8:14
[SPEAKER_06]: Week four Monday night against the jets.
8:16
[SPEAKER_06]: I thought they had a solid game.
8:18
[SPEAKER_06]: And then I thought, up three quarters of, well, not even three quarters.
8:21
[SPEAKER_06]: I'll go two and a half quarters of the last game.
8:24
[SPEAKER_06]: you know, it was pretty good, but then you're right.
8:27
[SPEAKER_06]: I think a lot of this, you know, Samo shit keeps going on for us in that team, man.
8:32
[SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, I, I, Mike is off then ice, man.
8:35
[SPEAKER_06]: But here's the thing, too, though, part.
8:36
[SPEAKER_06]: Think about this.
8:37
[SPEAKER_06]: There's no team really running away with shit right now either, man.
8:40
[SPEAKER_06]: Nobody doesn't, nobody looks invincible.
8:42
[SPEAKER_06]: But it has to start this week, right?
8:44
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, after all it's going on, it has to start this week, and I'm with you though.
8:49
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't see any daylight in sight for this team because it's really the same old pattern we've had.
8:55
[SPEAKER_06]: Even though we haven't gotten destroyed by anybody other than the codes.
8:59
[SPEAKER_02]: No, yeah, but you know what I think that the best game that the dolphins have played this season was the Lost of Buffalo.
9:07
[SPEAKER_02]: That crushed against New England, Indianapolis have the turnovers by two against New England and against Buffalo.
9:15
[SPEAKER_02]: had to hang on to beat the jets and then you go to to Carolina and you just lay an egg so I don't see the improvement.
9:23
[SPEAKER_02]: I think this team has actually regressed from what I saw in training camp, you know, you saw some signs or some pipe.
9:30
[SPEAKER_02]: And against Chicago and Detroit in those joint practices and then in the game that they didn't come out looking good and either situation But they showed a little bit of fight after you know after not looking good in the joint practice and then in the choice case You look good in the second Detroit joint practice and you got a little bit better in the game
9:51
[SPEAKER_02]: We left off with Jacksonville with the first team Dolphins off in Struggling against the second team Jacksonville defense.
9:58
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that should have been a red flag, I guess, regarded it, but that indie game.
10:03
[SPEAKER_02]: And here's the other thing, it's the organizational slash operational airs that delay a game and the personnel not knowing who's in the huddle.
10:13
[SPEAKER_02]: That stuff shouldn't be happening with this team.
10:15
[SPEAKER_02]: You're in year four of the Mike McDaniel program.
10:18
[SPEAKER_02]: I think they've regressed since that Indianapolis game.
10:22
[SPEAKER_02]: That's my problem view.
10:24
[SPEAKER_06]: Now, Park, do you think that they have too many personnel groupings?
10:28
[SPEAKER_06]: Because I remember when I played, both the wire receivers always stayed in, then maybe a tight end will come in, or a third wire receiver will come in.
10:35
[SPEAKER_06]: They've got so many guys that come in and out of the line-up, it drives me crazy, especially when your best players are going in and out of the line-up.
10:42
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we know Ty Reek and while we're doing it already, now without Ty Reek, you see it happening with other players.
10:47
[SPEAKER_06]: You can see that by Snapchat count.
10:49
[SPEAKER_06]: How guys are in and out of line-up, and I think
10:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know Mike Mike has a tendency to kind of overthink things and and I think that goes along with the speed speed Speed thing Mike hasn't changed enough quickly enough to me that I thought the lead caught up with his offense After 2022 2023 I thought was a situation of the dolphins beating up on a bunch of bad teams and losing to good teams
11:20
[SPEAKER_02]: and I didn't see any adjustments in the way of more physicality, more aggression.
11:25
[SPEAKER_02]: They doubled down on the speed, draft in Jalen Wright, and so that's the thing that somebody in that building, and by the way, I included Chris Greer because I've viewed this as institutional failure.
11:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody in that building should have said, hey, let's, let's get a power back.
11:44
[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, Mike, let's put my little more physically.
11:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, Mike, let's maybe not so much outside zone.
11:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's make a change.
11:52
[SPEAKER_02]: And if somebody did say that, I'd like to know why they were ignored.
11:57
[SPEAKER_02]: So it's institutional failure.
12:00
[SPEAKER_02]: So that's why I say
12:04
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I mean, you said that, I remember last year that you weren't opposed to them staying, but they both needed to stay.
12:10
[SPEAKER_08]: You joined them at the hip, and I think a lot of people will agree with you there.
12:13
[SPEAKER_08]: It'll be interesting to see what happens.
12:14
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't want to ask you where we go from here, but I also want to point out in the chat.
12:19
[SPEAKER_08]: So Shake Money says he likes ball Chris Perkins.
12:21
[SPEAKER_08]: He keeps it real.
12:22
[SPEAKER_08]: I think Perkins definitely keep it real right here for sure.
12:26
[SPEAKER_08]: And then Joe Robby said he knows things are getting bad if this is the focus using his PTO.
12:32
[SPEAKER_08]: I think that's what it is.
12:33
[SPEAKER_08]: But this is my question, so this is what you're saying.
12:35
[SPEAKER_08]: They cannot return.
12:43
[SPEAKER_08]: The question is, if the change is made, when should it change be made?
12:47
[SPEAKER_08]: I've heard different arguments.
12:48
[SPEAKER_08]: I think Barry Jackson just had a very interesting article about how he feels things should move forward and that Stephen Ross should find somebody to work alongside Tom Garfinkle to really analyze the whole program.
13:02
[SPEAKER_08]: While Chris Greer is still in place,
13:04
[SPEAKER_08]: And then they can make a determination as to whether or not Chris Greer stays in place at the end of the season and Chris needs to just kind of accept that that's where it is.
13:12
[SPEAKER_08]: I thought that was an interesting take.
13:14
[SPEAKER_08]: And then if you made a change ahead coaching, I'm not necessarily advocating for that yet, but I certainly understand why we're having the conversation.
13:23
[SPEAKER_08]: If you made that change in the season,
13:27
[SPEAKER_08]: OJ Chris, how do you guys name as interim head coach?
13:32
[SPEAKER_08]: Because if you would have said that at the start of the season, Anthony Weaver was a hot coaching candidate.
13:37
[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
13:38
[SPEAKER_08]: And I think everyone got excited when Anthony Weaver gave that impassioned press conference and talked about needing violence and making change with violence.
13:47
[SPEAKER_08]: the results we have not seen them on the field, but he sounded like a guy that people would rally behind if he wasn't necessarily calling plays but was overlooking the entire operation.
13:56
[SPEAKER_08]: I just don't know how you could go that direction.
13:59
[SPEAKER_08]: So again, I am not saying that it's time to pull the plug and start handing people their pink slips, but if that decision is made, where do you go from here?
14:10
[SPEAKER_02]: i'll go first here uh uh yeah i agree i think i would have thought that Anthony weaver was the guy but considering the run defense and the front seven i think the front seven is the biggest disappointment on the team right now uh i overrated them i thought they were going to be a game change in game winning unit
14:28
[SPEAKER_02]: But they haven't been, they haven't been able to stop the run, they haven't been able to pressure the pastor.
14:32
[SPEAKER_02]: We haven't seen Zach Sealer playing the way that we know that he can play, saying for Chub, saying for Philip, saying for Chub, saying for Chub, saying Jordan Bruts and Terrell Dodson are making tackle spot yards behind the line of scrimmage.
14:45
[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, I don't know, here's my, here, here are my top candidates.
14:51
[SPEAKER_02]: Still Anthony Weaver, Titan's Coach John Embrey, who preaches a lot of candor, right?
14:56
[SPEAKER_02]: He's very good.
14:58
[SPEAKER_02]: while not being a jerk.
14:59
[SPEAKER_02]: He's just very blunt.
15:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Darrell Bebbel, the quarterbacks coach has been an interim hit coach.
15:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Eric Studusfield, the running backs coach, has been an interim hit coach.
15:09
[SPEAKER_02]: So you know that it would be weaver, uh, Emory,
15:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Bevel, studentsville would be the group that I've choose from.
15:16
[SPEAKER_02]: Joe Barry, the linebackers.
15:18
[SPEAKER_08]: First, you've given me like Dolphin 2021 offensive coordinator at a studio, and I don't know who's calling the place.
15:25
[SPEAKER_08]: Pick what, who's the guy?
15:27
[SPEAKER_08]: I get your, I know you are a team owner of Chris Perkins.
15:30
[SPEAKER_08]: Who are you naming?
15:32
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
15:33
[SPEAKER_08]: I would have thought, I don't even need to make a change.
15:35
[SPEAKER_08]: You know that.
15:37
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I don't look sad.
15:39
[SPEAKER_02]: How can you put weaver in there?
15:42
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I hear you.
15:43
[SPEAKER_08]: That's why I'm asking the question.
15:44
[SPEAKER_02]: I agree.
15:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Embrie would be like, I still think that weaver is has the best hit coaching shops.
15:51
[SPEAKER_02]: but I just don't know that his message would resonate when players look at the performance of his unit, how are they gonna believe in him any more than the material?
16:00
[SPEAKER_06]: So, I do not agree.
16:04
[SPEAKER_06]: I do not agree.
16:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, go ahead.
16:06
[SPEAKER_06]: We can't, we can't judge we've on his defense performance.
16:09
[SPEAKER_06]: I get that part.
16:09
[SPEAKER_06]: We're talking about a guy that can lead these men.
16:11
[SPEAKER_06]: Who's the best guy to lead these men and get them back on the right track?
16:15
[SPEAKER_06]: And who's the say that we visit that guy?
16:17
[SPEAKER_06]: There's this obviously some playing very well, but at the same time, no, you can't tell me that these guys don't look up to this guy.
16:23
[SPEAKER_06]: You can't tell me he doesn't keep it up in the book and he's press conferences.
16:26
[SPEAKER_06]: If I was going on and he knows it has to be fixed.
16:29
[SPEAKER_06]: So sometimes as a coordinator, we've seen coordinates that aren't very good head coaches.
16:34
[SPEAKER_06]: right, but we've got a guy that might be better off being the head coach leading the whole operation and kicking somebody in the butt, whether they're calling plays and he might have somebody within the organization that can call the plays for him.
16:45
[SPEAKER_06]: So I don't know man, I just think that sometimes we give guys the head coaching jobs that were OCs and they stink at OC, but who knows if maybe he's not this gig, but isn't best fit to be a defense coordinator right now.
16:58
[SPEAKER_06]: and studies, it'd be a better head, man, leading some of these dudes.
17:01
[SPEAKER_06]: That's just how I feel about weave.
17:03
[SPEAKER_06]: But you do have a bunch of guys that have some experience, but if they have all this freaking experience and why aren't they getting to make about what helped me?
17:10
[SPEAKER_06]: You want, honestly, if you a secure head coach and you've got all these former interns and all these other head coaches, that's the best combination you can have, I think, when it comes to decision making, play, play, call on all this other stuff, what are we doing on all days?
17:24
[SPEAKER_06]: What are we, how long are we going to practice today?
17:26
[SPEAKER_06]: What are we putting on the scuttle?
17:27
[SPEAKER_06]: That's, yes, I deal with my opinion.
17:30
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
17:31
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
17:32
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I just say, I think that it's an interesting point that Jews just made and we're not in the building, right?
17:38
[SPEAKER_08]: We don't see what a guy's drawn up and just correct me if I'm wrong.
17:42
[SPEAKER_08]: The quickest way a coach loses a player's respect is two things.
17:46
[SPEAKER_08]: One, they're not honest with them.
17:48
[SPEAKER_08]: even if they blow smoke up their ass or they tell you know the players do not like being lied to and to if they get on that board and what they're saying is bolt like if they don't they don't make any coach what you're asking us to do will not work like that is crazy and we've heard players talk about that
18:05
[SPEAKER_06]: There's very concept, there's theory and his reality.
18:09
[SPEAKER_06]: Some code you put theories up on the board, but there's no that's how the reality.
18:12
[SPEAKER_06]: That's not what I was going to really happen up here.
18:14
[SPEAKER_08]: Weaver was an average player.
18:16
[SPEAKER_08]: He was never an all pro.
18:18
[SPEAKER_08]: What have you, but he did play the game.
18:20
[SPEAKER_08]: I think guys respect the fact that he played the game.
18:23
[SPEAKER_08]: And I do believe he has the makeup to lead a group of men.
18:27
[SPEAKER_08]: So, and certainly to get you through a season, but to the point that Perk made, I don't think it's the players that would question, well wait a second, how is this guy in that position when his defense is said, I think the fan base might lose their damn minds, although some people in the chat here seem to have an issue, don't have an issue with it.
18:44
[SPEAKER_08]: And then I think, you know, from a media perspective, that it would also be under some significant scrutiny.
18:49
[SPEAKER_08]: So, I think that would be the challenge that Stephen Ross would face making that decision.
18:53
[SPEAKER_08]: I think Ember is also a great choice, I mean he has been a head coach even though he didn't have a great success.
18:58
[SPEAKER_08]: He was a Colorado and he was a coach and he just he is the assistant head coach.
19:02
[SPEAKER_08]: It's like if we actually look at do we talk about total polls a lot.
19:05
[SPEAKER_08]: If we look at the total polls he is the assistant head coach.
19:08
[SPEAKER_08]: He's same to be the guy that even you look at if you watch the sidelines.
19:12
[SPEAKER_08]: a pissed off tire he killed might have John Emery's arm around him, you can see that he I think his influence extends beyond just the tight end room and he does not mince words when it comes to a lack of performance from his position group, so I think he would be interesting as well.
19:27
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, let me ask you this.
19:29
[SPEAKER_06]: who thought Dan Campbell be a good at coach.
19:31
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
19:32
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
19:33
[SPEAKER_06]: I got my dad.
19:35
[SPEAKER_06]: But what did he say?
19:37
[SPEAKER_06]: I think that mentality, that physicality, you know, I think that's what we're like, and then think about this too.
19:44
[SPEAKER_06]: If, you know, I don't know, like we said, Seth, we're not asking anybody's jobs, but it's Mike Daniel, where to lose his job.
19:49
[SPEAKER_06]: wherever take place.
19:50
[SPEAKER_06]: They're going to have a different mindset and mentality and play calling in all kinds of different things.
19:55
[SPEAKER_06]: Mike, Mike, Mike gets into a lot of past happy, quick screen type of deals, whereas you might have a guy that's on our roster as a coach right now, that's thinking more downhill, you know, I mean, more oddly Gordon opportunities, more Dan Waller opportunities, more things like that, whereas Mike was already stuck on a tie
20:17
[SPEAKER_06]: a whole attitude changes when you do something like that in the bill and another thing that happens to is, Mike can't change who he is in front of that team anymore.
20:26
[SPEAKER_06]: You can't you know he can't go in there be a tough he can't do all that and they already know who my kids You get a new guy up in there the new sheriff in town Some sick of changing that locker room bro, and the good change for the better who knows?
20:38
[SPEAKER_01]: No, yeah, real quick Chris juice.
20:41
[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen the team though Play really good ball for a half and two and a half quarter, and then just falls apart.
20:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Who is that on head man?
20:51
[SPEAKER_06]: Half-time adjustments are locked there off.
20:53
[SPEAKER_06]: So you need a second half coach?
20:55
[SPEAKER_06]: We need him.
20:56
[SPEAKER_06]: We need a four quarter coach.
20:58
[SPEAKER_06]: Nothing.
20:58
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
21:00
[SPEAKER_08]: What, you know, Wayne Heizing offered Jimmy Johnson the opportunity to coach only home games in 90 years.
21:05
[SPEAKER_08]: So maybe there's the first one.
21:07
[SPEAKER_06]: I wish you were to coach from home.
21:08
[SPEAKER_06]: It's a home home.
21:11
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, Emily, I wish you the coach remotely.
21:13
[SPEAKER_08]: Juice was at the offer.
21:14
[SPEAKER_08]: You put on the table?
21:15
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, Dave, man.
21:16
[SPEAKER_06]: The 40th.
21:17
[SPEAKER_06]: You was lucky.
21:18
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
21:19
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
21:20
[SPEAKER_06]: Let's go.
21:20
[SPEAKER_06]: I wish that was now right now.
21:23
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll say this about the interim coach and again, as we have to say, nobody's advocating for Mike to lose his job right now.
21:33
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he should come back next season, but the documents have done well with interim head coaches.
21:38
[SPEAKER_02]: When you look at Todd Bowles and Dan Campbell and
21:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Who would have thought Dan Campbell would have gotten that job?
21:44
[SPEAKER_02]: He was the tight-end's coach.
21:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Zach Taylor was on that staff as the co-offence of coordinators.
21:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Zach Taylor, who took Cincinnati to a Super Bowl.
21:53
[SPEAKER_02]: The dolphins, and I wrote this over the off season, they've had good coaching staffs.
21:59
[SPEAKER_02]: If I'm not mistaken, there are seven current defensive coordinators who were former dolphins' coaches, work coordinators.
22:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Anthony Campanilly was the last one,
22:10
[SPEAKER_02]: Um, Ben's Joseph right, um, the other ones are escaping me, but they've had good coaching staff.
22:18
[SPEAKER_02]: So I could pretty much trust that their decision on an interim coach would be something that I could get behind because again, that damn Campbell decision.
22:28
[SPEAKER_02]: We were all looking at each other like what?
22:31
[SPEAKER_02]: He's not a coordinator, he's your freak and tight hands coach.
22:34
[SPEAKER_02]: What about Rizzy?
22:35
[SPEAKER_02]: What about Zack Taylor?
22:36
[SPEAKER_02]: And they nailed it.
22:38
[SPEAKER_02]: They nailed it.
22:38
[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, Todd Bowles is doing a good job in Tampa.
22:42
[SPEAKER_02]: So, I could trust who, like Seth Sam, we're not in that building.
22:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I could, I could trust them to that extent.
22:50
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, we made some progress here, James.
22:52
[SPEAKER_08]: We made some progress here, and this is pretty tough.
22:57
[SPEAKER_08]: Cool, so I'm going to move on to the next thing I have here.
23:00
[SPEAKER_08]: And it's another way to go from here question, but as is, right?
23:04
[SPEAKER_08]: So let's operate under the assumption.
23:06
[SPEAKER_08]: All we can do right now is the team that we see, the team that we know, that we saw on Sunday, the way it's constructed, is the team that we're going to move forward with.
23:15
[SPEAKER_08]: than this next game against the Chargers, I'm moving forward to further notice.
23:19
[SPEAKER_08]: And so, Juuss has a player.
23:21
[SPEAKER_08]: If you're in a situation like that, what has to be the mindset?
23:25
[SPEAKER_08]: Like do you, we're death and despair here as a fan base.
23:30
[SPEAKER_08]: everybody's conference, everybody's heads in the media, but as a player who shows up to work the next day, like, do you have to go in there and say, hey, we got to win the next 12, like, what is the mentality?
23:41
[SPEAKER_06]: No, you can't do that, but you know what you do have to show up, obviously, and you've got to go back to work.
23:46
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, there's guys on this team right now that might be playing their last year of football.
23:50
[SPEAKER_06]: You owe it to them.
23:51
[SPEAKER_06]: You owe it to the guy next to you to go out there and go to work.
23:54
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, be a professional about it.
23:55
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, if you look at what we've got going on, stuff, it's really, it's the cliche, man.
23:59
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to get the one to know again this week.
24:01
[SPEAKER_06]: And there's an opportunity to get there.
24:03
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, that's what you have to look at.
24:05
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, having, you know, the chargers and them, the browns, and then, you know, then Atlanta.
24:09
[SPEAKER_06]: There's opportunities right there, honestly, between all three of those teams,
24:14
[SPEAKER_06]: The goal right now is to get the 500 but you can't get the 500 to get the 24 and I think it starts this weekend So these guys have to have that mentality that they can't do anything about the last five games for the last four losses that we had They've got to get ready for this game right here and they get this win They can go to Cleveland win.
24:30
[SPEAKER_06]: They can go to Atlanta and win I think those are opportunities right there and so if you got the right guys in there barking in the locker room
24:37
[SPEAKER_06]: you know, and I hope they do, and they've got 12 captains, you know, if they've got the right guys barking in the locker room, then they'll get that message across, man.
24:45
[SPEAKER_06]: And not only that, we talk about Michael, there's a lot of positional meetings going on, man.
24:50
[SPEAKER_06]: There's a lot of separate breakout rooms that we have when it comes in NFL.
24:55
[SPEAKER_06]: So what's your head guy in your room doing?
24:57
[SPEAKER_06]: to make sure your group is ready to go.
24:59
[SPEAKER_06]: Coach Ford always said, we're gonna run all day and we're gonna hit people, we're gonna block.
25:02
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, he had us ready to go.
25:04
[SPEAKER_06]: What's going on in some of the other rooms?
25:06
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, and that's what it's all about.
25:08
[SPEAKER_06]: There's a lot of breakout rooms when it comes to it.
25:10
[SPEAKER_06]: Then they come together as a group who's leading that charge as players, man, because honestly, you know, I said at the other day to somebody asked me, I said, players got to go out there and make plays too, man.
25:20
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, be Daniel and we've earned.
25:22
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, Emberi, they're not tackling anybody.
25:23
[SPEAKER_06]: They're not throwing any passes.
25:25
[SPEAKER_06]: Sure, they got hope the coach's putting in the right position to do so, but damn, step up as players manage to take charge of this damn team because honestly, you know, they're going to get their coach fired if they don't do better.
25:36
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, speaking of getting people fired, the dive bar is creating all kinds of controversy in the chat here.
25:41
[SPEAKER_08]: Savaka, I think, is getting an offer here to be a new producer.
25:44
[SPEAKER_08]: Others all kind of crazy shit going on in the chat.
25:48
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm glad you brought up players, juice, and any time you talk about football players, what position do you start with, and it's the quarterback.
25:56
[SPEAKER_08]: So here's a question because you sent right before the final drive.
26:01
[SPEAKER_08]: Yep, that Dolphins had, you tweeted at me, and you said, hey, Seth, it's time for two would approve us wrong, and you were referring to his ability to be big in the biggest moments.
26:12
[SPEAKER_08]: And there have been flashes of that.
26:14
[SPEAKER_08]: Armado Salguero wrote an interesting column this week about when he has done it and when he hasn't done it, this season we certainly, there's been three opportunities and they've all failed miserably.
26:24
[SPEAKER_08]: But my question is,
26:26
[SPEAKER_08]: based on the response that we got from, or that you got from that tweet.
26:33
[SPEAKER_08]: Are we asking too much, are we expecting too much from Tua?
26:37
[SPEAKER_08]: Like, does it matter?
26:38
[SPEAKER_08]: Should it matter that he played really well for three and a half quarters, efficient, three touchdowns, made a lot of big time throws?
26:47
[SPEAKER_08]: Does it matter that he did those things if he'd done, and the big plane had to water and what could have been the final drive if you could get a defensive stop, which I don't know why anybody thought that we could get a defensive stop.
26:59
[SPEAKER_08]: but but in that in that drive that could have been that it would have been the game winning drive the game winning throw right and and so some people are like oh what more did you want from them why i know for me and juice i think you know i don't speak for you i think what what more we wanted was we needed one more drive that's what the game required if you go watch if you watch the game later that night where you've got uh uh Trevor Laurence going
27:22
[SPEAKER_08]: blow it for blow with with Pat my home Pat my home service touch that here comes back for more like What more we you needed one more drive that's exactly that's exactly what it requires you we you got to have more you got to have it when you need it
27:36
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
27:37
[SPEAKER_06]: That's the bottom line right there.
27:39
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to have it when you need it.
27:41
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, a lot of quarterback sets.
27:43
[SPEAKER_06]: You watch a lot of these games last weekend, man.
27:45
[SPEAKER_06]: You saw all the quarterbacks going back and forth.
27:47
[SPEAKER_06]: And a lot of it's the last man that had the ball and they're getting the win.
27:51
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we knew that hell.
27:52
[SPEAKER_06]: I always talk about Danny, man.
27:54
[SPEAKER_06]: We knew if we got the ball last, we're going to win the freakin' football game.
27:57
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, and that's who's afraid of the dolphins, offensively or defensively in the fourth quarter.
28:02
[SPEAKER_06]: Nobody.
28:03
[SPEAKER_06]: Nobody's afraid of a man and that's a problem.
28:06
[SPEAKER_06]: You got a we got to have somebody or group of guys out there that You know, you didn't want Peyton man to get 30 seconds left on the clock.
28:13
[SPEAKER_06]: You didn't want Tom Brady to have 20 seconds left on the clock Now we got guys that you know, they said you know what?
28:19
[SPEAKER_06]: They're not going to move it any way, it's not going to get anything done and back to that tweet.
28:24
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that was a big moment man for him.
28:27
[SPEAKER_06]: It was a big moment.
28:28
[SPEAKER_06]: Considering, you know, we had we scored three times in a row, then we punted five times into the four-point quarter opponent.
28:34
[SPEAKER_06]: You got the long touchdown that took to Walu.
28:36
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but then we got another opportunity.
28:37
[SPEAKER_06]: We got opportunity to go again.
28:39
[SPEAKER_06]: That's the opportunity I'm talking about.
28:41
[SPEAKER_06]: And that's the opportunity that lied his great quarterbacks, even the good ones are taking advantage of.
28:46
[SPEAKER_08]: So, juice and to your point, well, Joe Robby right there, you don't want to give Josh Allen 27 seconds.
28:52
[SPEAKER_08]: And if you're going to sign a $212 million contract, nobody cares about quarters one through three.
29:00
[SPEAKER_08]: Got to make the big plays in the fourth quarter.
29:03
[SPEAKER_06]: I know that's how you feel.
29:04
[SPEAKER_06]: Facts.
29:05
[SPEAKER_06]: Big time players make big time plays in big time moments.
29:10
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, Chris, yep, and my column today was they show two of the money, but he hasn't show us enough magic.
29:18
[SPEAKER_02]: And to me, that's what the fourth quarter is about that magic.
29:23
[SPEAKER_02]: In the 23 and 24 seasons, two of it was two and 10 against playoff teams, 15 touchdowns, 14 intersections,
29:39
[SPEAKER_02]: He play against playoff teams, he's 10 and 6, 27 touchdowns, 6 interceptions, and a 99.1 pass of rating.
29:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Now I'll say this.
29:50
[SPEAKER_02]: I think the institution has failed to a. And I say that not to make excuses for two of them, but because you knew this guy had limitations, build around him, like Detroit did with Jared Goff, like Philly has done, with Jalen Hertz, like San Francisco did with Brock Perti, and look, I don't put this all on to her.
30:12
[SPEAKER_02]: He happens to be in the AFC at a time where you got Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrell.
30:19
[SPEAKER_02]: that could be for Hall of Fame quarterbacks.
30:22
[SPEAKER_02]: So he's got to step his game up to a big level, but that's what it's all about.
30:27
[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's how you separate yourself and you make those big plays in the big moments and the games against the playoff teams in the fourth quarter.
30:37
[SPEAKER_02]: I still think you can win a Super Bowl with Tua.
30:40
[SPEAKER_02]: I truly, truly believe that that Nick falls on a Super Bowl.
30:44
[SPEAKER_02]: Like how does that happen?
30:45
[SPEAKER_02]: Because you've got a team around him.
30:48
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's my fault with the dolphins is that you knew Tua is immobile.
30:54
[SPEAKER_02]: You knew Tua doesn't necessarily come through in the fourth quarter, so make his life easier.
30:59
[SPEAKER_02]: Get them a better offensive line.
31:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Get them a better power running back.
31:03
[SPEAKER_02]: You've got to give this man the tools that acknowledge your shortcomings instead of just relying on his left arm.
31:12
[SPEAKER_02]: I think they failed to, but having said that to us got to be better.
31:17
[SPEAKER_02]: We've got to see some magic from him.
31:19
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I mean, Perk, when you're describing a quarterback that they can't make big plays and big moments that can't run and whatever else is, it didn't sound like a guy you have faith and win in a Super Bowl.
31:30
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, that didn't sound like a Super Bowl when a quarterback you were explaining.
31:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Nick Foals is a career betta.
31:35
[SPEAKER_02]: He won a Super Bowl.
31:37
[SPEAKER_02]: And listen, listen, Denver in 2015, the year of the no-fly zone defense, you know, Peyton Manning was beaten up.
31:45
[SPEAKER_02]: He was, I believe he was the worst rated quarterback in the league that year, him and Brock Oswoller, combined from 19 touchdowns, 23 interceptions.
31:55
[SPEAKER_02]: yet they found a way to win the Super Bowl like it's it's it is all about the quarterback but it's not all about the quarterback if that makes sense like you've got to find a way to you've got to acknowledge okay my guy has some shortcomings here let's build up the defense let's build up the run game let's build up the offensive line how does Nick foes win a freaking Super Bowl
32:18
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean the same way Trent Delford is.
32:20
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that's true, too.
32:21
[SPEAKER_06]: But Perc, you don't think you're right.
32:23
[SPEAKER_06]: You they invest in first round right tackle
32:26
[SPEAKER_06]: And Austin Jackson invested a second round left tackle.
32:30
[SPEAKER_06]: They've got a second round left guard.
32:33
[SPEAKER_06]: They've got a free agent, center, and brood.
32:35
[SPEAKER_06]: That's really, really good, you know?
32:37
[SPEAKER_06]: They've got, you know, they've done.
32:40
[SPEAKER_06]: Now, in dimension, we all thought Tyreak was probably the best receiver in the game when we got it.
32:44
[SPEAKER_06]: Yep.
32:44
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, the best one to hide Jack's big.
32:46
[SPEAKER_06]: That should be a one, one at one A, one B. You know what I mean?
32:50
[SPEAKER_06]: In terms of those guys.
32:51
[SPEAKER_06]: So, and then you've got H and who's probably better than this draft status is.
32:55
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and then you know, but that guy's a running one off in so I just don't you know to me, but you you still had a one trick one dimensional offense.
33:06
[SPEAKER_02]: It was Tyreak and the threat of Tyreak that's all it was against what they made it.
33:12
[SPEAKER_06]: That's how they made it, though, right?
33:14
[SPEAKER_02]: That's how they they know what that yeah, they didn't have a power run game.
33:18
[SPEAKER_02]: Like how how did you take pressure off of off of two of it?
33:22
[SPEAKER_02]: You couldn't like you like there's no offensive line to help him.
33:26
[SPEAKER_02]: There's no run game to help him.
33:27
[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't have a big body receiver to help him like Maybe I'm running back the ran for 18 touchdowns in that.
33:33
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, okay, but only won against a playoff team again 2020.
33:37
[SPEAKER_08]: We're no good against playoff teams across the board Right, but set run.
33:42
[SPEAKER_02]: Here's a
33:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the other part of my institutional failure.
33:46
[SPEAKER_02]: In 2023, you did all this stuff against bad teams and you got your butt kick against good teams.
33:55
[SPEAKER_02]: Yet you handed out all these contract extensions.
33:58
[SPEAKER_02]: It's your job.
34:00
[SPEAKER_02]: If your job to recognize that we didn't do good enough, what were you rewarding them for?
34:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what?
34:07
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if it's weird for numbers.
34:09
[SPEAKER_08]: I say, we, I go, Jane, I've had this conversation.
34:12
[SPEAKER_08]: I certainly agree with all of those things.
34:14
[SPEAKER_08]: I just feel like the goalposts keep moving and I'm trying to keep up with it.
34:17
[SPEAKER_08]: It's like skip to my loo.
34:18
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm trying to guard skip to my loo right now, James.
34:20
[SPEAKER_08]: And I just fucking dribbling it out of the ball.
34:22
[SPEAKER_08]: So, no, what am I going to call it?
34:23
[SPEAKER_08]: It's the issue that you're saying to us right and everything else is wrong.
34:27
[SPEAKER_08]: No, you don't have to have a good player at quarterback if you build around them.
34:32
[SPEAKER_08]: Like, I'm just trying to understand what you're saying.
34:34
[SPEAKER_02]: What I'm saying is you can't hold your breath in another complaint.
34:37
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what it's about.
34:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, you can win a Super Bowl.
34:41
[SPEAKER_02]: You don't need a Hall of Fame quarterback to win a Super Bowl.
34:45
[SPEAKER_02]: Nicole showed us that right the 2015 Denver Bronco showed us that if you build or look Jared golf is not going to a to a to a to the Hall of Fame right they have a ship Some of that is a pretty good quarterback though.
34:58
[SPEAKER_08]: I think Jared golf is a good quarterback.
35:00
[SPEAKER_08]: Who's going to hit him like I think quarterback you paid him like a Hall of Fame quarterback
35:05
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, but that was another than him.
35:07
[SPEAKER_02]: That was another mistake because after 2023, you make him play on his fifth year option.
35:13
[SPEAKER_02]: He hasn't showed you that he can beat good teams.
35:15
[SPEAKER_02]: He hasn't showed you he can stay healthy.
35:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Why are you paying him that contract?
35:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Make him play on his fifth year option.
35:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Baltimore did that with Lamar Jackson.
35:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Play on your fifth year option.
35:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, and then you would have had them at a discount this year, because he didn't stay healthy, because he didn't beat good teams.
35:35
[SPEAKER_02]: So look, again, it's institutional failure.
35:39
[SPEAKER_02]: After 2023, you overestimate it the result of that 11 and 6 season.
35:45
[SPEAKER_02]: You built everything on yes.
35:47
[SPEAKER_02]: We're almost there.
35:48
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, no, the evidence shows you're not close to being almost there.
35:53
[SPEAKER_02]: You're not even at the Buffalo Baltimore level and Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, they can't even get to a Super Bowl and you weren't near as good as they are.
36:02
[SPEAKER_02]: Like they can't get past Patrick Mahomes, you can't get close to them, but she should have been able to.
36:08
[SPEAKER_08]: So Perk was ready to get back in the live.
36:10
[SPEAKER_08]: That is for sure.
36:12
[SPEAKER_08]: What's interesting is somehow I started out this element of the conversation, disagreeing with whatever it started out being.
36:19
[SPEAKER_08]: All those things you just threw at me, I agree with.
36:21
[SPEAKER_08]: I just don't think that's what we were arguing to begin with.
36:24
[SPEAKER_03]: So, go ahead.
36:26
[SPEAKER_08]: No, I just think it sounds to me.
36:29
[SPEAKER_08]: It's not that,
36:31
[SPEAKER_08]: they failed to a, it just sounds like you're saying they failed.
36:36
[SPEAKER_08]: That's really what it sounds like, is that in general, organizationally, they have failed to build a team that would be competitive.
36:44
[SPEAKER_02]: They failed, but they have, but they put on heroes.
36:51
[SPEAKER_02]: No, they failed as an organization, but mostly they left Tua out there on an island like it's it's Tua's left arm And that's not good enough.
36:59
[SPEAKER_02]: It's Tua to Tyreek.
37:01
[SPEAKER_02]: That's not good enough.
37:02
[SPEAKER_02]: You need it to have a power-run game You need it to have a big target at why receiver or tight-end like it's Tua is not and that's the thing with Mike Medenio.
37:13
[SPEAKER_02]: He fell involved with this speed game and this deep past game That got shut down in 2023
37:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, that's what the, that's what the I test show, that's what the numbers show, but you ignore it that and hand it out these contract extensions instead of saying, no, we will reward you when you win a playoff game, when you do something worthy of a reward.
37:35
[SPEAKER_02]: And they show, hey, statistical achievements.
37:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, here's some money, that's the wrong approach.
37:42
[SPEAKER_08]: So, I'm gonna shift gears, because I, I don't think anybody disagrees with essentially what you're saying there.
37:50
[SPEAKER_08]: Let's shift to the other side.
37:51
[SPEAKER_06]: That's a sexy waxy though.
37:52
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what he wants, by the way.
37:54
[SPEAKER_06]: I saw that, Chad.
37:55
[SPEAKER_08]: And yeah, there's stuff going on with that.
37:57
[SPEAKER_08]: I lost and I was doing a pretty good job of following it.
38:00
[SPEAKER_08]: And shit, there's one great, there were a couple really interesting questions.
38:03
[SPEAKER_08]: I want to ask about the defense, because I don't know why.
38:05
[SPEAKER_08]: What about the defense or about the defense?
38:07
[SPEAKER_08]: But I think Sam Marcu asked the question, Omar has been pushing recently that Stephen Ross will not fire Chris Greer, because of the ongoing
38:19
[SPEAKER_08]: legal, you know, a dynamic between Brian Flores, the lawsuit, all of those things.
38:27
[SPEAKER_08]: I think that's ridiculous, but what are your thoughts on that?
38:30
[SPEAKER_06]: I think it's hard to predict this.
38:32
[SPEAKER_06]: Great, great, great, great first part.
38:34
[SPEAKER_02]: I talked about this with Omar today in the media room, in the media work room,
38:40
[SPEAKER_08]: Here's what I mean, you guys would go away from the media working on, by the way, I've sat in there.
38:44
[SPEAKER_08]: That's our all contained.
38:46
[SPEAKER_08]: But anyway, go ahead.
38:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, me and Omar go ahead.
38:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Me and Omar go ahead.
38:50
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to get overly political here, but Omar's thing is that Steve Ross would be wise to keep Chris Greer in the fall.
39:01
[SPEAKER_02]: So he doesn't testify against him.
39:03
[SPEAKER_02]: And my thing is, the tone of the times politically,
39:07
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that Brian Flores is going to win a racial discrimination lawsuit.
39:12
[SPEAKER_02]: The way things are going nowadays with anti-deversity, equity, the de-inclusion DEI, the way that the judges are going nowadays.
39:24
[SPEAKER_02]: And now Marcell, Louis, Jacques, or somebody in there said it would be a jury trial.
39:28
[SPEAKER_02]: It wouldn't be up to the judge.
39:30
[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe that's different.
39:32
[SPEAKER_02]: But if, if, if,
39:35
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you can rely on the tone of the times.
39:41
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that it's going to go the way of racial discrimination suits nowadays.
39:46
[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't think that it's a valid point that you would keep Chris Greer in there just to keep him from testifying against you and testifying for flow.
39:56
[SPEAKER_02]: I just think politically, I'm not sure that that would work.
40:01
[SPEAKER_06]: juice where you're going to say something like that whole situation is crazy, you know, of course I've had some litigation things myself and you honestly, you're going to find bad judging bad juries at times anyways no matter what, but if Chris is going to, you know, if that's the case,
40:21
[SPEAKER_06]: Steve Ross, as you said, Steve Ross has the advantage right now all day, you know, because of the system right now, Steve Ross has the advantage and nobody nobody wants to hear about this discrimination, even though we know it happens every day.
40:32
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't care what anybody says happens every day.
40:34
[SPEAKER_06]: It happens both ways, but more, you know, majority of people that are discriminated against, you know, they don't look like chaff in home or even though he's a good looking dude.
40:42
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
40:43
[SPEAKER_06]: The challenge is dangerous, right?
40:45
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
40:46
[SPEAKER_06]: It's not just the way it is, man.
40:47
[SPEAKER_06]: But Chad is a guy that is one of the scariest people I know.
40:51
[SPEAKER_06]: So I wish, you know, Chad would be on any jury I've ever had to deal with.
40:54
[SPEAKER_06]: But anyhow, I just think that no matter what Stephen Ross has the advantage, no matter what.
41:00
[SPEAKER_06]: And Chris...
41:02
[SPEAKER_06]: Chris better he's going to have to anyways if there was a situation where you had to be a part of this case he better step up man and do what he's supposed to do because he knows facts he knows the truth about the situation it wouldn't get this far if there wasn't some some teeth to whatever's going on anyways you know but to keep Chris around for any other reason is ridiculous to me you know Chris Chris Chris has done all this how long has he been with us perk
41:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he's been the GM since 2016 and the charge of the draft in the end and charge of a whole operation since 2019 Okay, yeah, that's that's long enough so long enough, man, and you know, I'm taking this to me
41:49
[SPEAKER_06]: Nothing personal, maybe this person will meet with me and Chris Greer, but, you know, you know, Chris Chris, you know, I've talked to Chris a couple of times and Chris the hard guy to get a call back from put it that way between the end of it.
42:01
[SPEAKER_06]: So honestly, I don't give a damn what happens to Chris Greer anymore.
42:05
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, because all I care about is the dolphins and Chris Greer's the one that's wrecking my squad, then he needs to be the one to go as well.
42:12
[SPEAKER_06]: So, and I've never called for anybody's job, but if Perk is right about how they're building this thing, and it's the collaborative deal, right?
42:19
[SPEAKER_06]: Perk, that's what we talked about there all in, they're all in sync with what they're doing here.
42:23
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
42:24
[SPEAKER_06]: And then I've got a problem with both of them at that point.
42:27
[SPEAKER_08]: So I'm going to say this and then want to move on to the defense because we just haven't had to have enough heartache here in this in this live.
42:36
[SPEAKER_08]: But as it relates to that, I think it's ridiculous for a couple of reasons.
42:42
[SPEAKER_08]: Number one, some of the things that Stephen Ross might have been accused of,
42:47
[SPEAKER_08]: And then Chris Greer was probably by his side, right?
42:50
[SPEAKER_08]: So you know, it was maybe complicit in some of the decisions that were made in terms of personnel and what have you, but the biggest thing for me is that I think it's regardless of what you think of the job that Chris Greer is doing at this point.
43:03
[SPEAKER_08]: I think it's an insult to a guy who spent his whole life dedicated to the national football league who earned the position.
43:11
[SPEAKER_08]: He came up the right way.
43:12
[SPEAKER_08]: He worked his ass off.
43:14
[SPEAKER_08]: He grew up in football.
43:15
[SPEAKER_08]: He earned the position.
43:17
[SPEAKER_08]: He was given opportunities.
43:19
[SPEAKER_08]: He made big decisions collectively with other people.
43:22
[SPEAKER_08]: And if it hasn't worked out just like everybody else in the friggin NFL, I remember JT saying one day if they fire number 13, they're going to walk all of our asses out of here at some point.
43:32
[SPEAKER_08]: And that's the way that position that that business works is that everybody at some point, you know, not everybody gets to go out like John L. Wade did.
43:39
[SPEAKER_08]: In fact, very few do, and that whether that's coaches, players or general managers.
43:43
[SPEAKER_08]: And if it's time for him to go to juices point, if he's not getting the job done, was it you, Perk, I think you wrote the article about he's got the longest tenure of any of any general manager who has not
43:55
[SPEAKER_08]: want to play off game and and and if those are the like I think you could sit there and lay out and say This is the job requirement.
44:03
[SPEAKER_08]: These are the things that aren't being done.
44:05
[SPEAKER_08]: This is why I had to make a decision You want to go check my record on diversity Hiring and the decisions that we make as an organization.
44:12
[SPEAKER_08]: I think the dolphins are probably at the top of Professionals sports when it comes to you know at one point.
44:19
[SPEAKER_08]: They had a man of color at both the head coach position and a general man manager position
44:25
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, there you go.
44:26
[SPEAKER_08]: And so to say that a head coach got fired or General Manager got fired, I think that's the way it works.
44:32
[SPEAKER_08]: I think it's an insult to to career both how we earn the job and how we will lose the job.
44:40
[SPEAKER_08]: Whenever that comes, I think that's an insult to him to say that that decisions being made strictly as a pawn in a lawsuit.
44:46
[SPEAKER_08]: So that's my opinion there.
44:48
[SPEAKER_08]: As far as this Dolphin's defense, let's talk about something that's a little more tangible.
44:52
[SPEAKER_08]: Penipy salvage fellas like is there what can be done here?
44:56
[SPEAKER_08]: Is it as simple as the defensive tackles or young guys that can't, you know, aren't ready to, to, to be as productive as they're being asked to be as as simple as that sealers not playing next to a player the caliber of callous Campbell and or Christian Wilkins now like is it as simple as that are the edge rusher's, you know, our child and, and Phillips.
45:17
[SPEAKER_08]: broken down, you know, with all the injuries that they've had to overcome, even though they look and have worked hard.
45:21
[SPEAKER_08]: And you know, as it is simple as that, can it be salvaged?
45:25
[SPEAKER_08]: Is there any hope for the dolphins defense?
45:29
[SPEAKER_06]: Do you want to go first?
45:31
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I'll go first.
45:32
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, good.
45:33
[SPEAKER_06]: This got to be some hope.
45:34
[SPEAKER_06]: There really has to be some hope.
45:35
[SPEAKER_06]: And those guys up front have got the reasons, you know?
45:39
[SPEAKER_06]: Our live backers are one and three in the league in tackles.
45:43
[SPEAKER_06]: Chris said it earlier in the show because they're getting them five yards down the field.
45:47
[SPEAKER_06]: They're not keeping anybody off of these dudes, man.
45:50
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
45:50
[SPEAKER_06]: So, it's got to get better.
45:51
[SPEAKER_06]: I know we got some young dudes in their tackle, you know, Kenneth Grant, our first round pick.
45:55
[SPEAKER_06]: He's got to learn the game, the way it's played at the NFL.
45:58
[SPEAKER_06]: I was sure he played at Michigan.
45:59
[SPEAKER_06]: He played against Ohio State, played against Penn State.
46:01
[SPEAKER_06]: But he also played against most Western Indiana.
46:04
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
46:05
[SPEAKER_06]: So you've got to realize that every single day you're lined up against somebody that might have gone, I don't care, you know.
46:12
[SPEAKER_06]: whatever kind of song whatever, but they're NFL players and they're grown as men and that has to change up front and it and it hurt, maybe you can help me with this little bit.
46:22
[SPEAKER_06]: I know at one point they were talking about some guy doing a little freelancing or they still doing a little freelancing with this defense because I see some gaping holes that survived can run through.
46:31
[SPEAKER_06]: You know I mean, we know I'm talking to that can be right.
46:33
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:35
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:36
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:38
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:39
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:40
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:41
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:42
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:44
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:45
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:46
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:47
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:50
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:52
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:54
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
46:55
[SPEAKER_06]: You got to be the Mark Sludo, man.
47:03
[SPEAKER_06]: That's where it's at, man, and I don't, I don't, I don't see it, and it's posting to me to see that struggle, you know, and it's not, you know, and I know that he's, he's, he's probably, his, his toughest critic, but I hate to see somebody get paid, and then they struggle, you know what I mean?
47:17
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you, we see it all the time, we're talking about, and Zach earned this money, he had to wait and get his money pretty much, where's all these other dudes were gifted money, not gifted because, you know, they didn't earn it, but they, they could have waited on their money, they didn't have to get paid, right, when they did.
47:31
[SPEAKER_06]: So I think that defense has a chance.
47:33
[SPEAKER_06]: But the fact that our linebackers are one and three in the league and tackles, that's unacceptable right here.
47:41
[SPEAKER_06]: The fact that we can't get home with what we thought was going to be great to have Chub and Philips back along with Chub.
47:46
[SPEAKER_06]: And we can't even get into our three defensive end-pass group because they're never in bad, down in distances anymore.
47:53
[SPEAKER_06]: Because the run game begins this.
47:54
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we want to get into that fast group when they're, you know, third and 10, 12, 13, 14, we came getting to that group because they're always in manageable down in distances.
48:04
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, make it for space.
48:05
[SPEAKER_06]: It's all over the field, you know, trying to make plays.
48:08
[SPEAKER_06]: We got guys in the secondary, turn it down tackles, man.
48:10
[SPEAKER_06]: So can they get their big self back to your question?
48:13
[SPEAKER_06]: I hope that I hope the hell they can, man, because if they can't, then we're going to end up going back and forth again.
48:19
[SPEAKER_06]: And we're going to be counting on two of the, when it's a football game in the
48:25
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know what?
48:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, I don't know exactly what's going on with the defense.
48:30
[SPEAKER_02]: They're still freelance and going on, but...
48:33
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's, I think it's freelancing out of a lack of trust for the guy next to you.
48:39
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I think when one sign of this team breaking down that I haven't seen is freelancing out of selfishness.
48:47
[SPEAKER_02]: So, in other words, you know, Jalen Phillips say, you know, I'm on my fifth year option, screw the, screw the steam, I need to get my numbers.
48:55
[SPEAKER_02]: So, I can get eight next year.
49:02
[SPEAKER_02]: short of that, I'm just left to think that these guys are underperforming and I don't know why.
49:09
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know why Zack Sealer would be underperforming.
49:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he's feeling the pressure for the come from the contract and maybe it is that there's no Wilkins and Campbell.
49:18
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know about Chub and Phillips, maybe they're not 100% healthy yet.
49:24
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know about Chub.
49:25
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, last season, one of the reasons that Chub caught fire was he moved out a little more wide, right?
49:31
[SPEAKER_02]: And he had the option of the inside or outside.
49:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe the league is caught up with him, and now he's got to get ahead.
49:37
[SPEAKER_02]: They've adjusted to his adjustment, and so now he's got to adjust.
49:42
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm reaching.
49:42
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
49:43
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought this front seven.
49:44
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought I knew the secondary was going to be dicey.
49:48
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought the front seven were going to be ballers.
49:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Juice and set and chaired.
49:52
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
49:52
[SPEAKER_02]: So I can't sit here and bullshit you.
49:56
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what's going on.
49:58
[SPEAKER_02]: That front seven is a huge disappointment.
50:00
[SPEAKER_02]: You've got some talent.
50:02
[SPEAKER_02]: Not all pro bowl hall of fame talent.
50:05
[SPEAKER_02]: There's no Zack Thomas and J.C.
50:07
[SPEAKER_02]: up there.
50:08
[SPEAKER_02]: No timbo up there, but Benito is a vet.
50:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Zack is a vet.
50:12
[SPEAKER_02]: Chub Phillips, a Matthew Judeon, Brooks, Dodson behind them.
50:17
[SPEAKER_02]: You got KJ Britt and Willie Gayleite.
50:20
[SPEAKER_02]: You've got proven vets, dudes who have skins on the wall in this league.
50:25
[SPEAKER_02]: So I can't give you a good explanation.
50:27
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
50:28
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, and I, you know, it's interesting you talk about the secondary.
50:31
[SPEAKER_08]: I, I don't think they have a shot when what's happening in front of them is happening.
50:36
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, you know, I don't care how good you are on the back end.
50:40
[SPEAKER_08]: If a quarterback can run around all day out there or has time, you can't get pressure.
50:44
[SPEAKER_08]: And now you've got the threat of the play action and they're just gashing, yeah, I don't know how the secondary would have a shot.
50:50
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, I'm gonna keep it moving here.
50:53
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm actually gonna skip this next bullet point
50:57
[SPEAKER_08]: We had a lively discussion.
50:58
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm watching the clock here as well.
51:00
[SPEAKER_08]: I do want to say if you haven't had a chance in Perk, I don't know if you heard this one, but we had Chip Namius on the podcast this week.
51:07
[SPEAKER_08]: If your image so Chip was the Dolphins PR director from 82 at 86, Damarino's first NFL PR guy.
51:15
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, we had the killer bees went to Super Bowl's work with Coach Uller, work with Joe Robby, a lot of fun stuff.
51:20
[SPEAKER_08]: Please go ahead and check that out either on YouTube or wherever you're
51:27
[SPEAKER_08]: It's time for the, I would say our favorite segment, but our favorite segment, especially when perks here, has become the bigger one, log group, legal zone.
51:37
[SPEAKER_08]: So it's our second favorite segment here in Fish Tank Live, and it is I tried to tell you all, juice, as always, you're going to kick us off.
51:49
[SPEAKER_06]: I tried to tell you all that.
51:54
[SPEAKER_06]: to a, as we've talked about a lot in this show, needed an opportunity without Tyreke Hill.
52:02
[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm not saying I'm happy that Tyreke Hill is not on our football team because he is dynamic, he's incredible.
52:08
[SPEAKER_06]: But to a hat to without Tyreke Hill had to share the wealth and spread the rock around to a lot of different diets.
52:15
[SPEAKER_06]: And before that, it was force feed, force feed, force feed.
52:18
[SPEAKER_06]: Now, Perk has said it a lot today, and I agree with him,
52:22
[SPEAKER_06]: Two is not the guy in my opinion right now, it's going to go down there and win a football game.
52:25
[SPEAKER_06]: So we've got to have other guys go out there and make those plays.
52:29
[SPEAKER_06]: And so you do have a lot of guys around now that have been making plays.
52:33
[SPEAKER_06]: What we found out though, Big Seth, is that they go away from these guys.
52:39
[SPEAKER_06]: So often when we really need them the most.
52:42
[SPEAKER_06]: And so I know it was frustrating to me about what I was trying to tell you, Zad.
52:47
[SPEAKER_06]: Tua cannot do it by himself.
52:49
[SPEAKER_06]: We watch some of those games the other day.
52:51
[SPEAKER_06]: You see some of these other quarterbacks?
52:53
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what we're looking for in a quarterback.
52:55
[SPEAKER_06]: We're now looking for the Nick Folem's game management.
52:58
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm looking for the Trent Dillford game managers.
53:00
[SPEAKER_06]: All these other quarterbacks out here are guys that are out there getting it done by themselves at times.
53:06
[SPEAKER_06]: The course they've got some players around.
53:07
[SPEAKER_06]: Tua has players around them.
53:09
[SPEAKER_06]: Find them.
53:10
[SPEAKER_06]: get it done.
53:11
[SPEAKER_06]: So I'll try to tell you how that two is a guy that, you know, is a solid quarterback, but we're not going anywhere if he doesn't continue to distribute the rock and not count on this arm in the fourth quarter and that's what I try to tell you all.
53:25
[SPEAKER_06]: There it is, he tried.
53:27
[SPEAKER_06]: There we go.
53:28
[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
53:29
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, I'm up.
53:30
[SPEAKER_02]: You got it next, my man.
53:31
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, I tried to tell you all the dolphin should have drafted a corner back in the third or fourth round.
53:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Instead, they traded out of the third and fourth rounds.
53:42
[SPEAKER_02]: I had no problem with them taking Kenneth Brent in the first round.
53:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Even though Tyler Warren was right behind him for Indy, I had no problem with that.
53:52
[SPEAKER_02]: The problem I had was trading up to get Jonas of Inaia.
53:56
[SPEAKER_02]: You could have gotten to take Rackmach.
53:58
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you could have stayed where you were and gotten to take Rackmach and then trading out of the third and fourth rails.
54:04
[SPEAKER_02]: If I'm not mistaken, there were 12 quarterbacks taken and the third or fourth rails.
54:09
[SPEAKER_02]: And the dolphins needed a starting quarterback.
54:12
[SPEAKER_02]: At that point, they knew that they were trading Jalen Ramsey.
54:16
[SPEAKER_02]: And now you're in corner back hell.
54:18
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it would have been nice of storm.
54:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Would have stayed healthy.
54:21
[SPEAKER_02]: It would have been nice of Taterstate healthy, but they didn't.
54:24
[SPEAKER_02]: And now you've got nothing.
54:26
[SPEAKER_02]: You're scrambling.
54:27
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's no disrespect to Rasoon Douglas or Jack Jones.
54:31
[SPEAKER_02]: But you're scrambling.
54:33
[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have enough.
54:35
[SPEAKER_02]: And so if you already had, when you traded up for Jonah, you already had James Daniels, right?
54:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I understand that you need quality players, but you need a quality quarterback more than you need two quality guards you had a quality guard a quality right tackle a quality sitter
54:56
[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't know about left guard and we didn't know about left tackle, but the center and right guard and right tackle would have been good enough.
55:05
[SPEAKER_02]: The quarterback position in today's past happy NFL is very, very, very important.
55:11
[SPEAKER_02]: You should have drafted a quarterback in the third or fourth round.
55:15
[SPEAKER_02]: I tried to tell you.
55:18
[SPEAKER_08]: He did try to tell us that it's documented.
55:21
[SPEAKER_08]: That's the one good thing with Perk.
55:22
[SPEAKER_08]: If he tried to tell you, you can look it up.
55:24
[SPEAKER_06]: You can't receive, I don't care.
55:25
[SPEAKER_08]: He's never even got full tape and check receipts.
55:29
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, fellas, I tried to tell y'all that I am sick of people throwing former dolphins, coaches and players in our face with no context and no perspective.
55:41
[SPEAKER_08]: So just this week, someone tried to drop Matt Burke on us.
55:45
[SPEAKER_08]: Matt?
55:46
[SPEAKER_08]: Frick and Burke, okay?
55:48
[SPEAKER_08]: Because, oh, Houston had a good game.
55:50
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, Matt Perk was looking at the dolphins.
55:53
[SPEAKER_08]: They messed up everything.
55:54
[SPEAKER_08]: In 2018, Matt Berk led a dolphins defense that was 27th and total points allowed.
56:00
[SPEAKER_08]: 29th and total yards allowed.
56:02
[SPEAKER_08]: 30th in yards per play allowed.
56:06
[SPEAKER_08]: That's not good.
56:07
[SPEAKER_08]: Nobody wanted him out of here.
56:09
[SPEAKER_08]: But oh, Matt Perk, let's not forget, three years later, he is the game management coach.
56:15
[SPEAKER_08]: What a title there, the game.
56:17
[SPEAKER_08]: So he managed the games for the four and 12 New York Jets.
56:22
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, how did we let Matt Burke get out of here before in 12 New York jets a year later, he's a defensive line coach for the Arizona Cardinals.
56:28
[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe he could have fixed our defensive line except they went for in 13 with him as a defensive line coach.
56:34
[SPEAKER_08]: Don't throw Matt Burke in my face.
56:37
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
56:37
[SPEAKER_08]: Now you guys are going to see here and say the dolphins messed up by letting him go.
56:41
[SPEAKER_08]: it's crazy.
56:42
[SPEAKER_08]: But this ridiculous argument, it's not limited to Matt Burke.
56:46
[SPEAKER_08]: We get top bowls thrown in our face all the time and I get it.
56:49
[SPEAKER_08]: Balls is six games above 500 for Tampa in his four seasons there.
56:53
[SPEAKER_08]: It's not bad.
56:55
[SPEAKER_08]: But if we forgotten about the fact that when he was the head coach of the Jets, they were 24 and 40.
57:01
[SPEAKER_08]: When we have accepted 24 and 40, we're pissed off at a 500-mic Daniel, 24 and freaking 40, okay?
57:09
[SPEAKER_08]: And then there's the great Dan Campbell.
57:10
[SPEAKER_08]: We all love Dan Campbell and he's on the top tier head coach right now.
57:15
[SPEAKER_08]: But do we realize that after the dolphins decided to hand the reins to Adam Gace rather than Dan Campbell?
57:22
[SPEAKER_08]: following his, he was five and seven, by the way, is Interim Head Coach, okay?
57:25
[SPEAKER_08]: That it took six seasons to add a two big theft.
57:28
[SPEAKER_08]: He had great, sure, great attitude.
57:30
[SPEAKER_08]: But it took him six seasons to get another head coaching job, and he had to spend those six seasons working under Sean Payton, okay?
57:37
[SPEAKER_08]: And then when he got ahead coaching job in Detroit, do we remember that he went three and 13 in his first year to join?
57:44
[SPEAKER_08]: Would Miami fans have been okay?
57:46
[SPEAKER_08]: with waiting for seven years of Dan Campbell to lead the dolphins to a winning record for the first time.
57:52
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think so, fellas.
57:54
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think they would have.
57:55
[SPEAKER_08]: So please stop with the nonsense.
57:57
[SPEAKER_08]: If you want to tell me that you're unhappy with Miami's run defense, valid.
58:01
[SPEAKER_08]: If you want to tell me that you expect and more of our past rushes we've discussed here,
58:06
[SPEAKER_08]: I did too!
58:06
[SPEAKER_08]: No shit!
58:07
[SPEAKER_08]: You want to tell me that two of these to close games?
58:09
[SPEAKER_08]: Hell yes, he does.
58:10
[SPEAKER_08]: If you want to tell me that Grier should never be allowed to make a trade on drafting again, I get that as well.
58:15
[SPEAKER_08]: That record is pretty rough.
58:17
[SPEAKER_08]: Magdaniel needs to run a tighter ship.
58:19
[SPEAKER_08]: No shit.
58:20
[SPEAKER_08]: I can accept all of this.
58:22
[SPEAKER_08]: But get out of here with your Anthony Campanelli bullshit.
58:25
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't want to hear about Louis around a new, I'm a rumo, just blew his name up.
58:30
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't want to hear about damn Campbell.
58:31
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't want to hear about any of these guys.
58:33
[SPEAKER_08]: Ben Johnson, he's killing it over in Chicago.
58:36
[SPEAKER_08]: He's doing two in his first year.
58:37
[SPEAKER_08]: And the guy gets pissed off.
58:39
[SPEAKER_08]: You want to talk about a guy with triggers.
58:41
[SPEAKER_08]: That guy loses his damn mind.
58:43
[SPEAKER_08]: Every friggin' time he opens up his mouth.
58:45
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't want to hear about those guys.
58:47
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, that's ridiculous.
58:50
[SPEAKER_08]: Focus on the things that are valid because there's enough of them out there.
58:53
[SPEAKER_08]: I tried to tell y'all, stay out of my face with people who coached here 10 years ago.
58:58
[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.
58:59
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
59:00
[SPEAKER_06]: That's all I got.
59:01
[SPEAKER_06]: Well done.
59:02
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't like that.
59:05
[SPEAKER_08]: the way we're going to roll right into it.
59:09
[SPEAKER_08]: It is now time, drum roll, please.
59:12
[SPEAKER_08]: We need the Chad Van Horn legal zone.
59:15
[SPEAKER_08]: It's Sam still with us because I know he's going to have questions and oh, by the way, Chris Perkins is back in the take.
59:22
[SPEAKER_08]: I know you got something for, even waiting three or four weeks.
59:24
[SPEAKER_08]: I want you to kick us off with a legal question for Chad Van Horn.
59:28
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Chad.
59:29
[SPEAKER_02]: Here's here's my question.
59:31
[SPEAKER_02]: I think I've got some water and screws and on the wall in my bathroom, so I'm giving myself three options here.
59:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Should I call my insurance company?
59:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Should I call the condo association and make them pay for it?
59:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Or better yet?
59:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Should I just wait for black mold to give me a disease and then a higher attorney and find somebody and sue that a lot of it?
59:53
[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm leaning towards.
59:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Option number three.
59:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Man, we're starting off hot today, huh?
1:00:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Damn, damn, I really do think I'm got some water.
1:00:06
[SPEAKER_03]: I believe you, I'm on the line.
1:00:08
[SPEAKER_01]: If there's a legal issue, I know you have it.
1:00:11
[SPEAKER_01]: So I believe that.
1:00:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:00:12
[SPEAKER_01]: So the short answer is yes.
1:00:16
[SPEAKER_01]: You gotta notify all parties.
1:00:17
[SPEAKER_01]: So when you read the insurance policies and yes, I do read the fine print.
1:00:22
[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't notify, that gets them off the hook.
1:00:24
[SPEAKER_01]: So you want to notify everybody that this is going on because then they do the inspections.
1:00:29
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the insurance companies are going to decide who is responsible.
1:00:33
[SPEAKER_01]: And most likely it's the condo associations policy that should cover it.
1:00:39
[SPEAKER_01]: But you want to notify both and then let them do their own tests and inspections.
1:00:43
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they're going to battle it out.
1:00:45
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's going to be a long battle because insurance companies they don't like to pay.
1:00:51
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's going to be a long battle to see who works without, but yeah, definitely maybe air that out a little bit, so you don't get sick for short.
1:01:01
[SPEAKER_08]: So don't pick option number three, you're suggesting to have that he doesn't pick.
1:01:04
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it would make my job easier if you picked option number three, because I wouldn't have to answer all these questions.
1:01:12
[SPEAKER_01]: But we wouldn't have a concert.
1:01:14
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, it's been a long, long legal zone, but I think that Michael Livia had a good set.
1:01:19
[SPEAKER_08]: Everyone of Perk's questions is centered around his condo.
1:01:22
[SPEAKER_08]: Might be time to move.
1:01:23
[SPEAKER_08]: So that's it.
1:01:26
[SPEAKER_03]: I got a great view of downtown Miami.
1:01:29
[SPEAKER_03]: I see dolphins swim by and people with guns and stuff.
1:01:32
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:01:34
[SPEAKER_08]: there's a given take in everything in life, no doubt.
1:01:36
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, we need another legal question.
1:01:38
[SPEAKER_08]: I saw something, oh my god, I never thought a legitimate legal question could be so damn funny.
1:01:43
[SPEAKER_08]: That can I sue a crayon company for making them taste so good?
1:01:47
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, there's a legitimate legal question for them.
1:01:50
[SPEAKER_08]: And Sam's not even in the chat.
1:01:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was chatting before about this.
1:01:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, those crowns, they made them smell so good too.
1:01:57
[SPEAKER_01]: I ate a couple of grains myself when I was hungry back in the day.
1:02:00
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm sure there have been some lawsuits out there because they definitely made them smell and it tastes too good and it's definitely not good for your health.
1:02:09
[SPEAKER_06]: So it's yeah, we want to figure out why we weren't invited to, you know, your
1:02:15
[SPEAKER_06]: you're a big old money giveaway in your office man without your part of the team bro you know I saw everybody walk away with hundreds of dollars and stuff in the case all kinds of stuff man what's going on in chapter one log group and that office where by you know having so much fun over there you're working over there what man
1:02:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Man, the first Friday of every month, that's when we do our giveaways and we spend the way.
1:02:38
[SPEAKER_01]: We gave away a puppy.
1:02:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you saw videos of the puppy.
1:02:40
[SPEAKER_01]: We gave away a puppy.
1:02:41
[SPEAKER_01]: We gave away cash.
1:02:43
[SPEAKER_01]: We gave away a bunch of stuff.
1:02:44
[SPEAKER_01]: So the first Friday of every month, you guys are welcome to come in, you might get a raffle ticket, you might win something.
1:02:50
[SPEAKER_01]: So you guys are always welcome to come to Vennew and Log Group.
1:02:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:02:55
[SPEAKER_01]: We're doing quick though.
1:02:55
[SPEAKER_06]: Chad, I know I'm going to congratulate a couple of your lawyers at actually past the bar recently.
1:03:01
[SPEAKER_06]: that you guys have in your group.
1:03:03
[SPEAKER_06]: You guys are still here after mentoring and you're growing your office man.
1:03:08
[SPEAKER_06]: And Perk, one thing about Tattas, they've got somebody for everything.
1:03:12
[SPEAKER_06]: I said my boy's showing over to you.
1:03:14
[SPEAKER_06]: What yesterday I think, Sean came by to see you for some entertainment corporate business stuff.
1:03:19
[SPEAKER_06]: So talk about some of the people you got that you're adding.
1:03:22
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you keep adding lawyers after lawyer after lawyer because you guys are growing so fast.
1:03:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's incredible to growth.
1:03:29
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're statewide and Florida, we open office in Pennsylvania, we're going to New York.
1:03:33
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're hiring like crazy.
1:03:34
[SPEAKER_01]: So if anybody's watching, looking for a job and you want to get into the legal field, we're definitely hiring, so reach out to me.
1:03:42
[SPEAKER_01]: We had two new attorneys just get sworn in past the bar, which that's a huge, huge event in their life.
1:03:49
[SPEAKER_01]: And so shout out to Ray and Hannah.
1:03:51
[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, the family is just growing and growing and growing and we're so very 15 years of my first three employees that I hired they stayed with me for 15 years so they definitely built they built this house and they continue to do it without them certainly wouldn't be anything like it is today.
1:04:08
[SPEAKER_08]: Very cool, congrats to them.
1:04:10
[SPEAKER_08]: I see a question in the chat.
1:04:12
[SPEAKER_08]: Laverne has some debts jointly with her spouse, but they file their taxes separately, is it best to file bankruptcy together?
1:04:21
[SPEAKER_08]: Or separately, that's interesting.
1:04:22
[SPEAKER_08]: I never thought about it like that.
1:04:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so really come down to the amount of debt each spouse has and if it's equal and you can't pay it then a joint filing is the best way to go.
1:04:33
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the most efficient way to become debt free, but we have some spouses that come in where one is an authorized user.
1:04:40
[SPEAKER_01]: versus a borer or cobar, meaning if you're an authorized user, legally speaking, you don't have to pay that back.
1:04:48
[SPEAKER_01]: So you could just file the person that is the borer and clear out that debt, and that leaves the authorized user separate from it, and the bankruptcy would not impact their credit at all.
1:04:59
[SPEAKER_01]: So you certainly can do individual, but if it's the majority of joint debt, I'd recommend wiping it all out together.
1:05:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Hey Chad, I do have one more quick one and it's it's almost I know y'all seconds at this like day and why do I open the bike for you?
1:05:14
[SPEAKER_08]: No, go ahead, I love it.
1:05:16
[SPEAKER_02]: This is a based on a case, and I'm seriously not trying to brand humor to this.
1:05:22
[SPEAKER_02]: This is based on a case for a Dolphins-wide receiver.
1:05:27
[SPEAKER_02]: When should you get a pre-nupcial agreement?
1:05:30
[SPEAKER_02]: What are their parameters?
1:05:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Like if you're a, if you have six-figure income, if you got two houses, then when should you get a pre-nup?
1:05:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so my rule for that would be if you're bringing assets into a marriage, and those are your independent assets, you should definitely talk about getting a prenuptial agreement.
1:05:50
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we are in South Florida, which I love South Florida, but we're known for many things down here, and some of the things are very, it's a word I'm looking for, fake relationships, if you will, and I'm sure those go both ways.
1:06:09
[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
1:06:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
1:06:11
[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
1:06:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I'm checking.
1:06:14
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't got to show we have going on here.
1:06:16
[SPEAKER_08]: I want to make sure I heard you correctly.
1:06:18
[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe somebody's chasing, you know, like a condo on the water with a beautiful view and some of those.
1:06:25
[SPEAKER_01]: So you just got to make sure that you don't find that gold digger that will really is after that condo.
1:06:30
[SPEAKER_08]: Gold digger?
1:06:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Did you say a gold digger?
1:06:33
[SPEAKER_08]: Gold digger.
1:06:34
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm having a hard time here.
1:06:38
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's what I recommend, and you can do it at any time, but if you truly built something together and you've been together for a while and it's all joint assets, it's not as important.
1:06:48
[SPEAKER_01]: But if you have acquired assets and you meet somebody and ends up going to Mary's, that's when you're going to want to look at that.
1:06:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I saw a question about post-nup agreements.
1:06:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Post-nup agreements will work as well.
1:07:00
[SPEAKER_01]: The key to any of these agreements is both spouses need to be represented separately.
1:07:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, because you hear about some of these agreements getting rolled back because, uh, somebody old like wedding day come out with a pre enough and see, you got to sign it and, you know, the other side is already in and they're like, my family's here, everything and, you know, I'm going to sign it and get married and you'll see some of those things that rolled back.
1:07:23
[SPEAKER_01]: So definitely don't do that.
1:07:25
[SPEAKER_01]: give each side time to review, make an educate decision, and the one thing about both a pre-nup and a post-nup is you have to tell everything that you own.
1:07:37
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, some people want to hide those things, so you really have to lay it out on the table for that to be effective if not, it could be fraud.
1:07:47
[SPEAKER_06]: God, I was going to bring up was brought to the night before big-south.
1:07:52
[SPEAKER_06]: Wait, what?
1:07:52
[SPEAKER_06]: I was out of wedding when a pre-nup was brought up the night before was written out.
1:07:56
[SPEAKER_06]: What?
1:07:56
[SPEAKER_06]: Everything in the night before.
1:07:58
[SPEAKER_06]: But in mind, came to my room and he was not happy that she wouldn't sign it.
1:08:04
[SPEAKER_06]: I said, bro, would you expect, though?
1:08:05
[SPEAKER_06]: He said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah, he said, yeah,
1:08:24
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I'm just gonna finish him that way.
1:08:25
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm gonna juice you that way, I'm just gonna finish him.
1:08:27
[SPEAKER_08]: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait
1:08:43
[SPEAKER_08]: I've got a done sooner.
1:08:44
[SPEAKER_08]: Well actually, that's a great segue into Savox question.
1:08:48
[SPEAKER_08]: It'll be the last question here in the list.
1:08:49
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, it's actually a lot of leads.
1:08:50
[SPEAKER_06]: I've heard it in the question too, real quick, Tanya.
1:08:52
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I'm just Wes Leverse.
1:08:54
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, do you do any pro bono work?
1:08:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's one of the things we're proud of.
1:08:59
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're one of the top pro bono firms in the country.
1:09:03
[SPEAKER_01]: So we want to make sure that everybody has access to the legal system, which is one of the most powerful systems in the world.
1:09:10
[SPEAKER_01]: So even if you don't have the funds to pay us, to take care of you, we will take care of you.
1:09:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, if you're rich like Chris, we're going to charge you double, but in ill seriousness, we fight hard and I have a pro boner coordinator and I have a team that's just dedicated to providing pro bono services.
1:09:30
[SPEAKER_08]: also good stuff to know last question, uh, Savak fired off a few, but I thought this one was appropriate giving the timing of that pre-nup attempt.
1:09:39
[SPEAKER_08]: But, uh, he asked, where is it?
1:09:41
[SPEAKER_08]: It was something about, if there's a deadline.
1:09:44
[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
1:09:44
[SPEAKER_08]: A no trade clauses in the NFL are rare or what it didn't know.
1:09:47
[SPEAKER_08]: That's not the one.
1:09:48
[SPEAKER_08]: Where's the deadline one?
1:09:49
[SPEAKER_08]: So throw it up there, Savak.
1:09:51
[SPEAKER_08]: It was something about if there's a deadline, and you get if a team misses a roster bonus trigger by hours.
1:09:58
[SPEAKER_08]: Is there any legal wiggle room?
1:10:00
[SPEAKER_08]: Is there any such thing as legal wiggle room?
1:10:03
[SPEAKER_01]: So the only legal wiggle room, if you will, would be if there is a natural disaster for something like that occurred.
1:10:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Something that truly is out of your hands.
1:10:16
[SPEAKER_01]: So we recently actually saw this enacted because of COVID.
1:10:21
[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a lot of contracts that have,
1:10:25
[SPEAKER_01]: This language in there, and COVID, it was actually used to avoid a lot of contracts, because obviously that was something completely out of our hands or government shutdowns, like actually government shutdown like there is right now, and things were disclosed.
1:10:39
[SPEAKER_01]: So that actually got people out of contracts, and that got people out of blowing deadlines.
1:10:44
[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, the short answer is yes it can happen, but it's extremely, extremely rare.
1:10:50
[SPEAKER_08]: got it.
1:10:50
[SPEAKER_08]: Don't try and wiggle out of that thing.
1:10:52
[SPEAKER_08]: Savak.
1:10:54
[SPEAKER_08]: Great stuff that was the van horn law legal zone.
1:10:58
[SPEAKER_08]: Appreciate all that.
1:10:59
[SPEAKER_08]: That was a great follow-up Seth is legal wiggle room even a real thing.
1:11:02
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you.
1:11:03
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you very much.
1:11:03
[SPEAKER_08]: We're torn on that one.
1:11:05
[SPEAKER_08]: Since we're talking about van horn law group.
1:11:08
[SPEAKER_08]: one of our amazing presenting partners here in the fish tanks since phase four started.
1:11:12
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm sitting here in the castabella design group studios.
1:11:14
[SPEAKER_08]: I also have to give a shout out to my man, Alvaro Fratez, who is a podcaster himself.
1:11:19
[SPEAKER_08]: And if you're not listening to the renovation revolution podcast, you need to go ahead and follow and give it five stars.
1:11:25
[SPEAKER_08]: It just cracked the top 100 podcast in the United States and the how-to category.
1:11:31
[SPEAKER_08]: So shout out to Alvaro as well in
1:11:36
[SPEAKER_08]: and Casabelle design group enough for supporting the work that we do here in Fish Tank, and allowing Juicenide to be able to bring you everything that is pops up in our heads creatively or as Juicen says, we can do whatever the bleep we want.
1:11:47
[SPEAKER_08]: So that's...
1:11:50
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I lost him.
1:11:51
[SPEAKER_08]: I just lost a I lost the audio there too.
1:11:53
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know what I'm saying.
1:11:55
[SPEAKER_06]: Big sis say the irony of censoring yourself there and then final question.
1:12:02
[SPEAKER_08]: I get it's rolling out of the the legal zone.
1:12:05
[SPEAKER_08]: Michael Livio wanted to know juice.
1:12:07
[SPEAKER_08]: Did your friend end up getting married?
1:12:09
[SPEAKER_08]: Did they carry that they carry out the nocturals after that failed
1:12:22
[SPEAKER_08]: You signed me down for you, no?
1:12:23
[SPEAKER_06]: Like me, man.
1:12:25
[SPEAKER_06]: Whatever, man, you're gonna hold off on this day.
1:12:28
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, man, this was the good one.
1:12:31
[SPEAKER_08]: This wasn't absolutely good one.
1:12:32
[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you, Andrew.
1:12:33
[SPEAKER_08]: I appreciate you, my man Andrew Crawl here.
1:12:35
[SPEAKER_08]: He's been with us all night.
1:12:36
[SPEAKER_08]: Appreciate everybody who's been in the chat.
1:12:38
[SPEAKER_08]: I know some folks had a drop off, but it was a whole lot of fun.
1:12:41
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm hoping, and we had fun in dark times.
1:12:44
[SPEAKER_08]: We had fun, maybe some people didn't stick around long enough.
1:12:48
[SPEAKER_08]: We were having too much fun, and they want to be in their misery.
1:12:51
[SPEAKER_08]: Let's see what happens against the charges.
1:12:53
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, too, it's going to raise his game against Harvard.
1:12:56
[SPEAKER_08]: He answered the questions I think eloquently today about Herbert and the other quarterbacks in this class.
1:13:01
[SPEAKER_08]: But I got to believe if there's ever going to be a competitive fire burning, it's when he goes up against one of those guys, so we'll see what happens this weekend.
1:13:09
[SPEAKER_08]: We need to do every day and week, big set, fuck, Herbert.
1:13:12
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't disagree.
1:13:12
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't disagree.
1:13:14
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm just saying that I think we're going to see the best version of
1:13:18
[SPEAKER_08]: This this will be right.

[SPEAKER_08]: That's what I'm saying get us out of the month.

[SPEAKER_05]: It's on your legendary talking when you double-bin that pitch time.
