Hello, and welcome to divine five one five.
• 0:25
Well, we've come to the end of our
• 0:27
  strengthened at the throne series.
• 0:29
This is episode four where we're going to
• 0:32
be talking about how to endure life's hardest
• 0:35
  moments.
• 0:37
And to do that, we're gonna be
• 0:40
  showcasing
• 0:41
  how
• 0:41
  prayer
• 0:42
  strengthen Jesus.
• 0:45
Key scripture for today comes from Hebrews five
• 0:48
  and seven
• 0:49
  and reads as follows.
• 0:51
During the days of Jesus' life on earth,
• 0:54
he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent
• 0:57
  cries and tears,
• 0:59
and he was heard because of his reverent
• 1:03
  submission.
• 1:06
Now all through this series, we've been talking
• 1:09
  about
• 1:09
the who, what, whys, and where's of how
• 1:12
  Jesus used prayer
• 1:14
to to stay strengthened at the throne.
• 1:17
  Today, we wanna talk about
• 1:19
  how
• 1:19
prayer did not remove the difficulty from Jesus'
• 1:23
life, but it did strengthen him to endure
• 1:26
  it.
• 1:28
Through prayer, Jesus remained aligned with the father's
• 1:31
  will.
• 1:32
If you recall in a previous episode,
• 1:35
  the scripture
• 1:36
said, not my will, but your will be
• 1:39
  done.
• 1:40
In essence, Jesus was saying, I really don't
• 1:43
  want to do this,
• 1:45
  but because
• 1:46
I want to be in obedience
• 1:48
and do your will because I love you,
• 1:51
  father,
• 1:52
I will do whatever you whatever you say.
• 1:57
And so we see that through prayer,
• 2:00
  he found the strength
• 2:02
  to walk through suffering
• 2:04
  with a purpose.
• 2:06
Through prayer, he stayed anchored in obedience
• 2:09
  even when the path
• 2:12
  was painful,
• 2:14
and this same strength is available
• 2:17
  to us.
• 2:20
We don't get to choose what comes to
• 2:22
  us, but we can choose
• 2:24
  how we deal with it.
• 2:26
And the most comforting part of it all
• 2:29
is knowing that we don't have to go
• 2:32
  through
• 2:32
  pain
• 2:33
  aimlessly.
• 2:35
  It has a purpose,
• 2:36
  but more importantly,
• 2:38
  the God
• 2:40
that loves us and the Messiah of our
• 2:43
salvation is right there with us in the
• 2:45
midst of it to walk us through
• 2:48
  whatever the fire is.
• 2:50
Prayer does not always change the circumstance
• 2:53
  immediately,
• 2:55
but it does change the heart that faces
• 2:58
  it.
• 2:59
  It strengthens courage.
• 3:01
  It steadies faith,
• 3:03
and it reminds us that we are never
• 3:06
  walking through hardships
• 3:10
alone. When we kneel at the throne before
• 3:12
  God,
• 3:13
  we will always
• 3:14
rise stronger when we leave whatever we're being
• 3:17
  faced with there.
• 3:20
Being strengthened at the throne, we can endure
• 3:23
  what once felt
• 3:25
  impossible.
• 3:27
  Let's pray.
• 3:29
  Heavenly father,
• 3:31
strengthen me through prayer when life becomes difficult.
• 3:36
Help me trust your presence even when the
• 3:38
  path is hard.
• 3:40
Build endurance in my faith and give my
• 3:43
  heart courage.
• 3:45
Let my strength come from time spent with
• 3:47
  you.
• 3:49
  Thank
• 3:50
you for giving us the tools and the
• 3:53
  strategies
• 3:55
  to be strengthened
• 3:56
  to face whatever it is
• 3:59
  in life.
