- 0:00Speaker 1: Alora Murdo Gip heads to the Mazzano World Circuit Marcos
- 0:04Speaker 1: Simonchelli and for the championship leader Joje Martine. This means
- 0:08Speaker 1: he heads behind enemy lines as the VR forty six
- 0:11Speaker 1: Academy rule the roost. Here in remeny Jiaoduti. I'm your host,
- 0:17Speaker 1: Rinita Vmullin, and here to help preview the Grand Primo
- 0:20Speaker 1: red budis San Marino Adela Riviera. Did Rimini is a
- 0:24Speaker 1: man who is like a fine Italian pizza. He's got
- 0:27Speaker 1: the right ingredients, knowledge, insight and just a hint of
- 0:31Speaker 1: spice bon.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Matt Clayton married that was unbelievable because I almost burst
- 0:39Speaker 2: out laughing at the first Alora, because I just got
- 0:41Speaker 2: flashbacks of every single time I bid an depressa with
- 0:44Speaker 2: Valentino over the.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Years, and he just does that thing where he thinks
- 0:47Speaker 3: of the question in English, translates it to Italian, comes
- 0:50Speaker 3: up with the answer, and every answer starts with a
- 0:53Speaker 3: lotta you know, very thoughtfully. So I did enjoy that
- 0:56Speaker 3: very much, and you even managed to get the name
- 0:58Speaker 3: of the event out, which while you were doing that,
- 1:01Speaker 3: I just realized his eighty eight characters, which is about
- 1:03Speaker 3: twice a length of Sunday's Grit Masardo. But who's counting.
- 1:07Speaker 1: We're on video, but you guys only see the audio,
- 1:09Speaker 1: and I was doing all they in hand gestures. I
- 1:11Speaker 1: was really trying to get into character.
- 1:13Speaker 3: With that one fantastic Oh my.
- 1:16Speaker 1: God, well, Matt, so obviously we've introed that. But heading
- 1:19Speaker 1: back to Mazzano second gear in a row where Peco
- 1:22Speaker 1: Banyaya heading to his home Grand Prix injured, is this
- 1:26Speaker 1: the edge that Joge Martin needs this weekend?
- 1:30Speaker 3: Well, I reckon jje Martin had sign up for a
- 1:33Speaker 3: repeat of last year's Grand Prix because obviously Peko came very,
- 1:36Speaker 3: very injured to Messano last year after that absolutely terrifying
- 1:40Speaker 3: accident that he'd had seven days earlier at Catalunia. And
- 1:42Speaker 3: I was writing a preview piece earlier this week, and
- 1:45Speaker 3: I have this thing about describing injuries for body parts
- 1:49Speaker 3: where a human has more than one of them. I
- 1:50Speaker 3: don't just like to say it's a leg injury. I
- 1:52Speaker 3: wouldn't know if it's a a right leg injury or
- 1:54Speaker 3: a left leg injury, because I'm just pedantic with things
- 1:57Speaker 3: like this. So of course I went back and watched
- 1:59Speaker 3: the accident from thelast year at Catalunia, and I forgot
- 2:01Speaker 3: how bad that was and just how horrendous and how unlucky,
- 2:06Speaker 3: how lucky sorry he was to actually get away with that,
- 2:08Speaker 3: and it was his right leg for those of you
- 2:09Speaker 3: playing at home, But he was so compromised last year
- 2:12Speaker 3: that that was a bit of an own goal for
- 2:14Speaker 3: Jgey Martin, and he duly won the sprint and the
- 2:16Speaker 3: Grand Prix. But you said it before, Martin behind enemy Lines,
- 2:21Speaker 3: I thought was a really really good line, because he's
- 2:24Speaker 3: going to not only Peco's backyard, this is an AA
- 2:27Speaker 3: Bastia in his backyard, it's Marco Berzeki's backyard. There's a
- 2:30Speaker 3: whole bunch of Italian riders that could lap this circuit blindfolded.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Jorge Martin has last year's winning his pocket, he has
- 2:37Speaker 3: the championship lead in his pocket, but he's very much
- 2:40Speaker 3: on the defensive for the next couple of weekends. Peco.
- 2:43Speaker 3: I don't think anywhere hears injured as he was last year.
- 2:46Speaker 3: But whatever advantage that ha Hay can take out of
- 2:48Speaker 3: these two rounds remember at Massano, the better. So all
- 2:52Speaker 3: sets it up for a really interesting weekend. I think
- 2:54Speaker 3: because of what happened last Sunday at Aragon.
- 2:58Speaker 1: We'll get into a little bit more of the track
- 3:00Speaker 1: action soon, but for those of you who aren't sure
- 3:03Speaker 1: about how close we're talking, so Tavulia where Valentino Rossi
- 3:07Speaker 1: is from, I google map sit eighteen minutes from San
- 3:10Speaker 1: Marino Circuit, his hometown and Aobashanini you mentioned before, he's
- 3:14Speaker 1: born in Rymany twenty five minutes, so it is literally
- 3:19Speaker 1: those writers that you mentioned. It is their home circuit
- 3:21Speaker 1: where Valentino's ranches, the VR forty six Academy. They come
- 3:25Speaker 1: and train at this track so you mentioned it. They
- 3:28Speaker 1: could do this with their eyes closed and probably like
- 3:31Speaker 1: one hand on the handlebar, one leg up in the air,
- 3:33Speaker 1: doing all sorts of tricks and still manage to set
- 3:36Speaker 1: a fast lap around this circuit. But coming from last
- 3:40Speaker 1: weekend where we weren't short, the surface was going to
- 3:42Speaker 1: be like and it ended up being quiet slippery and
- 3:44Speaker 1: we had a lot of issues with grip. We're coming
- 3:47Speaker 1: to a track now that is known for its grip.
- 3:50Speaker 1: So it makes me think, are we just going to
- 3:52Speaker 1: see another do Caddi dominance this weekend?
- 3:55Speaker 3: History would suggest that's probably on the cards and particularly
- 3:59Speaker 3: with one of those home riders that you mentioned. I
- 4:01Speaker 3: don't think there's going to be anywhere near as many
- 4:02Speaker 3: variables as there was Aragon, because Aragon was it was
- 4:06Speaker 3: going to be bizarre anyway, because of this new track
- 4:08Speaker 3: surface and it clearly wasn't properly cured embedded in as
- 4:11Speaker 3: we saw just by the color of it. And then
- 4:13Speaker 3: the fact that the weather was so random at Aragon for
- 4:15Speaker 3: those couple of days, and we mentioned this on our
- 4:17Speaker 3: Aragon review podcast, all of those potential trip wires on
- 4:21Speaker 3: that circuit and that weekend is just Mark Marquez's territory
- 4:24Speaker 3: because he's the fastest guy to adapt to a changing circuit.
- 4:27Speaker 3: So it's very much a known quantity. At Mazzano. You
- 4:30Speaker 3: can get some weather there. I mean, we've seen some
- 4:32Speaker 3: wet ones there in the past and a couple of
- 4:34Speaker 3: flag to flags there in the past. It's so close
- 4:36Speaker 3: to the coast that the weather can roll in a
- 4:38Speaker 3: little bit. But it's much more of a known quantity.
- 4:42Speaker 3: And for that reason, Bannal, we don't know what percentage
- 4:45Speaker 3: of fitness is going to be. After that accident with
- 4:47Speaker 3: Alex Marquez at Aragon, he did mention his sword neck
- 4:50Speaker 3: and he certainly won't be at one hundred percent, but
- 4:53Speaker 3: you look at him and Bashianei on the GP twenty fours,
- 4:56Speaker 3: Bashianeni's always been really good here, even before he started
- 4:59Speaker 3: to emerge as a World Championship Grand Prix winner and
- 5:03Speaker 3: Moto GP. If you cast your mind back to those
- 5:05Speaker 3: I think it was twenty one where he was on
- 5:07Speaker 3: that Avincia. Ducati qualified like fifteenth or sixteenth in both
- 5:11Speaker 3: of the two races that year, finished on the podium,
- 5:13Speaker 3: so it shows you how good he is there. But
- 5:16Speaker 3: it's hard to look past a da Cati for the
- 5:20Speaker 3: main podium places in this weekend. But I don't want to,
- 5:24Speaker 3: don't want to jinx it after what we did last
- 5:26Speaker 3: weekend with the crystal ball. But if anyone's going to
- 5:28Speaker 3: challenge him, it might be in a Prilier weekend to
- 5:30Speaker 3: come through because Maverick particularly is particularly strong on this track.
- 5:34Speaker 3: But it's still really hard so look past Ducatti because
- 5:37Speaker 3: of the strength of the riders and the fact that
- 5:39Speaker 3: so many of their riders Peco and a Bastianini, Marco
- 5:42Speaker 3: Bozeki that I mentioned at Fabio de Jane Antonio, this
- 5:45Speaker 3: is a track they all know, so well, so it
- 5:47Speaker 3: really is Jorge versus the Italians this weekend, isn't it?
- 5:50Speaker 1: Mohayvers the Italians? I love it. Looking at last year's
- 5:55Speaker 1: results as well, Marco Betzeki was on the podium in
- 5:58Speaker 1: the sprint and the me and Grand Prix, and I
- 6:01Speaker 1: loved that clip where Marco Betzeki and Paco Banaa were
- 6:06Speaker 1: kind of giving each other a little bit of a
- 6:09Speaker 1: back chat in the post race press conference. I don't
- 6:12Speaker 1: know if you remember that where Becky was talking about
- 6:15Speaker 1: something and then Marco Betzeki was like, yeah, but who's third?
- 6:18Speaker 1: Who won this race?
- 6:19Speaker 3: Not you so kicking Hi man when he's down like
- 6:23Speaker 3: Pecko's limping around with one working leg that weekend. But yeah,
- 6:27Speaker 3: there's some history where those two is there. But yeah,
- 6:30Speaker 3: you mentioned Bears. Isn't it funny? Like you look back
- 6:32Speaker 3: at last year's results and so often we're seeing him
- 6:35Speaker 3: on podiums. He obviously won three Grand Prix last year
- 6:38Speaker 3: and he's just been so anonymous this year. Really hasn't
- 6:42Speaker 3: worked with that GP twenty three for him. He's not
- 6:44Speaker 3: a podium at Harrath. We remember that, but it's been
- 6:48Speaker 3: few and far between, and I don't know about you,
- 6:50Speaker 3: but I thought it was pretelling last weekend that until Fabiota,
- 6:53Speaker 3: Jan Antonio had that post race penalty put in for
- 6:56Speaker 3: the tire pressure of the sixteen second penalty. Pretty second
- 7:00Speaker 3: and to Jane ANTONIOO beat Bozeki and Aragon last weekend
- 7:03Speaker 3: on the same bike, and I'm thinking, Wow, it does
- 7:05Speaker 3: show you what a difference a year has made. And
- 7:08Speaker 3: it's kind of gone a little bit beneath the radar
- 7:10Speaker 3: because of other stories elsewhere in the paddock. But Bozeki
- 7:13Speaker 3: just has not been the same rider this year.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Has he?
- 7:15Speaker 2: No?
- 7:16Speaker 1: Even at like the beginning of the year, he was
- 7:18Speaker 1: quite open and honest and just said I am not
- 7:21Speaker 1: gelling at all with this GP. Now he's on the
- 7:25Speaker 1: twenty four, isn't he?
- 7:26Speaker 3: He's on the twenty three. Forty six guys are on
- 7:30Speaker 3: the twenty three, and it's just it's interesting, I think
- 7:32Speaker 3: that and the different reartire this year probably doesn't allow
- 7:35Speaker 3: him to slide the bike quite as much, and he's
- 7:38Speaker 3: someone who's really paid the price for that because he
- 7:41Speaker 3: has a natural style. He's a bit of a bigger
- 7:43Speaker 3: guy and has a certain way he likes to ride.
- 7:45Speaker 3: We remember last year when grip was pretty ordinary. Remember India,
- 7:48Speaker 3: that was so dusty that circuit, and he just made
- 7:50Speaker 3: them all absolutely ridiculous in India. So I think hasn't
- 7:54Speaker 3: probably quite jelled with the twenty three and I think
- 7:56Speaker 3: that reartire hasn't quite worked either. But he's been pretty
- 7:59Speaker 3: anonymous for the season, and it was interesting when he
- 8:02Speaker 3: signed that deal with Aprillia to go there to be
- 8:04Speaker 3: ju Hey Martin, Martin's teammate next year. Massimo Rivella came
- 8:08Speaker 3: out and said, well, we hope we get the real Marco,
- 8:10Speaker 3: not the one that's been riding this year, because he's
- 8:12Speaker 3: not the guy that you would normally sign. And it's
- 8:14Speaker 3: been pretty contrary to the way Bizeki's career is gone
- 8:17Speaker 3: because it was just building so nicely last year was
- 8:20Speaker 3: so convincing. Maybe we end up looking at twenty twenty
- 8:23Speaker 3: four when it's all said and done, as being a
- 8:25Speaker 3: bit of an aberration because he's kind of been nowhere
- 8:27Speaker 3: all year.
- 8:28Speaker 1: You mentioned Tyers there, and I just want to lead
- 8:30Speaker 1: into that for a little bit because Michelin have said
- 8:33Speaker 1: that they're going to bring three variations of the front
- 8:36Speaker 1: this weekend, where normally they would only bring two. So
- 8:39Speaker 1: the writers have the option of the soft, the medium,
- 8:42Speaker 1: or the hard. They're saying that, I guess the way
- 8:46Speaker 1: that the bikes have improved so much this year that
- 8:49Speaker 1: they're really starting to use the fronts a lot more.
- 8:52Speaker 1: And I guess from last weekend where they worn't with
- 8:54Speaker 1: the track surface everything like that. How much do you
- 8:57Speaker 1: think that with the duke in the GP twenty four
- 9:01Speaker 1: is obviously just gelling so much with the rear tire,
- 9:04Speaker 1: how much of it is coming to play when with
- 9:06Speaker 1: this new front tire, is that going to just help
- 9:08Speaker 1: them ecceed or is it still people like the Zaki
- 9:11Speaker 1: who just can't get the bike to work, it's not
- 9:14Speaker 1: really going to help them in any way.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Well, I think the front these days is where you
- 9:17Speaker 3: make up time, because, particularly with the twenty four, one
- 9:20Speaker 3: of the characteristics of that bike and what makes it
- 9:22Speaker 3: so good is the squad device coming out of the
- 9:25Speaker 3: corners is so unbelievably good. You can even see how
- 9:27Speaker 3: much better it is in the twenty four compared to
- 9:29Speaker 3: the GP twenty three. Look at any time Mark Marquez
- 9:32Speaker 3: is behind one of the GP twenty four is coming
- 9:34Speaker 3: out of a slow quarter onto a long straight and
- 9:37Speaker 3: the gap just increases instantly because the twenty three doesn't
- 9:41Speaker 3: have the great rear high device that twenty four does.
- 9:43Speaker 3: So in answer to your question, I think a lot
- 9:45Speaker 3: of the lap time we gain lap time in these
- 9:48Speaker 3: days is pushing the front and we've seen some riders
- 9:51Speaker 3: really struggle with that over the course of the season,
- 9:53Speaker 3: so you can see why Michelin is having to you know,
- 9:57Speaker 3: the way the bikes are being ridden this year, we've
- 9:59Speaker 3: seen the times you know, pole position times fast aslap
- 10:02Speaker 3: record times pretty much broken at every single track, but
- 10:05Speaker 3: the way these guys are achieving the lapse this year
- 10:07Speaker 3: is different, and I think that's where that front tire
- 10:09Speaker 3: becomes critical because they're all pushing the front so hard
- 10:12Speaker 3: because one of the worst things of that rear ride
- 10:15Speaker 3: height device it kind of means that everyone exits the
- 10:17Speaker 3: corner the same way, which is one of the reasons
- 10:19Speaker 3: I think I'm not a massive fan of it. It
- 10:21Speaker 3: takes a lot of the rider's skill out of that
- 10:23Speaker 3: part of the riding, but they're all now trying to
- 10:25Speaker 3: push the front to compensate for the fact that your
- 10:27Speaker 3: corner exit is pretty similar. So yeah, certainly a challenge
- 10:31Speaker 3: for Michelin because you know, we're seeing speeds and lap
- 10:33Speaker 3: times that we've just never seen before. So for a
- 10:35Speaker 3: tire provider, that's just a moving target. The bikes have
- 10:39Speaker 3: got so good that Michelin are kind of chasing the
- 10:42Speaker 3: performance of the bikes, and there's been some tracks where
- 10:45Speaker 3: it's been difficult. I'm not really sure what they were
- 10:48Speaker 3: supposed to do last weekend, to be honest, because it
- 10:50Speaker 3: was this bizarre confluence of track circumstances, whether a whole
- 10:54Speaker 3: bunch of other different variables. Massano's more it's more of
- 10:58Speaker 3: a known quantity, you could say. But yeah, it's tough
- 11:01Speaker 3: for them because the performance of the bikes this year
- 11:03Speaker 3: has just been unreal from top to bottom.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Let's talk about the second group. So we obviously have
- 11:10Speaker 1: the Dow Caddies and all four du Caddy teams up
- 11:13Speaker 1: the front. We kind of know that it's going to
- 11:15Speaker 1: be a Ducaddi dominant weekend or a VIR forty six
- 11:17Speaker 1: Academy dominant weekend. Let's talk about the next group. So
- 11:20Speaker 1: we've got the ktms and the Apprillias. You mentioned Maverick
- 11:23Speaker 1: Vinalees earlier. Let's talk about Alish but also Miguel Olivera.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Do you think that they could both have a strong
- 11:31Speaker 1: weekend here in Mazano.
- 11:33Speaker 3: To track the rewards good corner speed and Maverick's been
- 11:37Speaker 3: good here particularly. Maverick's been good here previously won one
- 11:40Speaker 3: of the two races here in twenty twenty, and he's
- 11:42Speaker 3: always been pretty strong back through the Yamaha and the
- 11:45Speaker 3: Suzuki days here. So it wouldn't surprise me to see
- 11:48Speaker 3: if any other manufacturer is going to muscle in on
- 11:50Speaker 3: thed caddies at the front this weekend that it would
- 11:52Speaker 3: be a Prillia. They had a pretty miserable time. It
- 11:56Speaker 3: just had no group in an Aragon and to the
- 11:58Speaker 3: point where vinale is in this argar were almost doing
- 12:01Speaker 3: Moto two times. I mean Vianalees ended up parking the
- 12:03Speaker 3: bike at one point during the Sunday Grand Prix, and
- 12:07Speaker 3: Alisha was kind of nowhere for most of the weekend.
- 12:09Speaker 3: But you mentioned Olivera. He's an interesting one for me
- 12:12Speaker 3: because I suspect we might see his name in a
- 12:15Speaker 3: few headlines this weekend as we wait to see what
- 12:18Speaker 3: premak Abajara doing with these final two seats. He's obviously
- 12:20Speaker 3: one of the riders in the frame there, but he
- 12:23Speaker 3: was actually pretty quick, and I think he would have
- 12:25Speaker 3: featured reasonably well at Aragon of all the Aprillias, but
- 12:29Speaker 3: had that first lapship off when he was running in
- 12:31Speaker 3: the top six. He was pretty decent in the sprint.
- 12:33Speaker 3: So I think if it's going to be anyone muscling
- 12:35Speaker 3: in or Dcaddi this weekend, I'm not sure they've got
- 12:37Speaker 3: podium pace, but I would back a Prillia probably as
- 12:41Speaker 3: the manufacturer. That might steal some of Dcaddi's thunder. And
- 12:44Speaker 3: we don't want eight tocaddies in the top eight. Nobody
- 12:46Speaker 3: wants that. But if we get some Aprillas in there,
- 12:48Speaker 3: that would thicken the brew a little bit.
- 12:51Speaker 1: And the Pramac announcement that we're all waiting for, we're
- 12:56Speaker 1: hoping we also pretty much I think that it's going
- 13:00Speaker 1: to be Jack Miller there as well.
- 13:02Speaker 3: So well, I'm amazing you didn't say Pramaha because you've
- 13:05Speaker 3: got me now that you've said it so many times.
- 13:07Speaker 3: But yeah, well look, I mean the smart male was
- 13:10Speaker 3: that there was going to be an announcement of what
- 13:12Speaker 3: premat Kamaha we're going to be doing at Massano. Of course,
- 13:15Speaker 3: the asterisk is this two Messanos, so it could be
- 13:18Speaker 3: this week. It could be next week, but I think
- 13:20Speaker 3: they will make the announcement at Messanos, simply because it's
- 13:22Speaker 3: an Italian team with an Italian sponsor and you want
- 13:25Speaker 3: to get the most mileage out of that. But it's
- 13:28Speaker 3: hard to see how it's not going to be Jack
- 13:29Speaker 3: Miller and Miguel Olivera, simply because a lot of the
- 13:32Speaker 3: other guys that were in the frame for those two
- 13:35Speaker 3: seats have signed on elsewhere. So Joe Go Si, you're
- 13:37Speaker 3: staying in Moto two. We know that. So Tony Abellino
- 13:40Speaker 3: is probably going to be running a Pramac backed Moto
- 13:42Speaker 3: two bike next year, as you know, probably the successor
- 13:45Speaker 3: to either Jack or Miguel down the track. But look
- 13:48Speaker 3: when we'll get that announcement. By the time we get
- 13:50Speaker 3: to Friday practice, there might be announcement, but it also
- 13:52Speaker 3: might be before Massano too, because of course between these
- 13:55Speaker 3: two Massano races we actually have a test on Monday
- 13:57Speaker 3: as well, So basically no one's going home for about
- 14:00Speaker 3: the next two weeks, and you get to practice your
- 14:02Speaker 3: Italian and I get to think about pizza recipes for
- 14:05Speaker 3: the next two Grand Prix.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Perfect. That's the best. I love it. Yamaha Yamaha coming
- 14:12Speaker 1: into this weekend. We know Fabio and Alex Runs had
- 14:14Speaker 1: a decent weekend in Aragon, but I feel like it's
- 14:18Speaker 1: just because that lack of grip, it kind of made
- 14:20Speaker 1: for a bit more of an even playing field. How
- 14:23Speaker 1: do you think they're going to go this weekend? Do
- 14:25Speaker 1: you think we're going to just see them back in
- 14:27Speaker 1: their usual spots. Yeah.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Quatrero was a little bit pessimistic coming into this because
- 14:31Speaker 3: they've tested here fairly recently, and he said, look, you
- 14:34Speaker 3: know the performance was generally okay, but the time attack
- 14:36Speaker 3: speed wasn't. So we know that in modern day motor GP,
- 14:40Speaker 3: you unless there's some wet conditions or unless you're an Ambassiadidia,
- 14:43Speaker 3: that's the one the outlier, you need to be probably
- 14:46Speaker 3: in the first two or three rows to do anything.
- 14:48Speaker 3: So if we if we don't see a Yamaha in
- 14:51Speaker 3: Q two, for example, it's going to be pretty hard
- 14:53Speaker 3: for them to do something. But again, Fabio has been
- 14:55Speaker 3: pretty decent here. It's obviously the sight of his greatest
- 14:58Speaker 3: career moment. He secured his twenty two anyone World championship
- 15:01Speaker 3: at this track, so I'm sure he gets a big
- 15:03Speaker 3: smile every tobby drives into the circuit. But look, unless
- 15:07Speaker 3: we can get one of them in Q two, and
- 15:08Speaker 3: let's face it, that one is likely to be Fabio,
- 15:11Speaker 3: it's hard to see them doing a hell of a
- 15:14Speaker 3: lot this weekend. But about you, it was nice to
- 15:16Speaker 3: see Yamaha looking a little bit more competitive at Aragon,
- 15:19Speaker 3: Like Fabio was really really good in the sprint, and
- 15:21Speaker 3: he looked like he was able to pass some people
- 15:24Speaker 3: and really get his elbows out, which was fun. And
- 15:26Speaker 3: we mentioned this on our Monday post Aragon podcast. Alex
- 15:30Speaker 3: rins in the top ten, which was something we kind
- 15:32Speaker 3: of took for granted back in the day. It was
- 15:33Speaker 3: actually really nice to see him up there because I
- 15:35Speaker 3: do feel a little bit sorry for Alex. I think
- 15:37Speaker 3: we've forgotten a little bit how good the guy is.
- 15:40Speaker 3: We saw it at the end of his time at
- 15:41Speaker 3: Suzuki when he won two of those last three races,
- 15:43Speaker 3: but he's basically not been fit for eighteen months. It's
- 15:46Speaker 3: been so tough for him since he had that crash
- 15:48Speaker 3: at Majello on the Honda. So you only have to
- 15:51Speaker 3: look at, you know, watching him walk up and down
- 15:52Speaker 3: the paddock and watching him walk to the bike on
- 15:54Speaker 3: the grid to see how unfitt he is. It'd be
- 15:57Speaker 3: nice to see those two back up front, because well,
- 15:59Speaker 3: any any extra manufacturers we can see in the fight
- 16:02Speaker 3: for things meaningful emotor GP, I'm all for it.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I was reading an article with Max Bardolini, who is
- 16:09Speaker 1: the new technical developer at Yamaha Technical. The other's a
- 16:13Speaker 1: correct you out technical ye, and he's come over from Jucaddie,
- 16:16Speaker 1: and he was very open and said that Fabio Corderraro,
- 16:22Speaker 1: he finds is so hungry to be back up the
- 16:25Speaker 1: front again that his mindset's almost changed, and there'll be
- 16:30Speaker 1: times where he'll get frustrated or get a bit angry,
- 16:32Speaker 1: but then they'll work on something, he'll go out, there'll
- 16:35Speaker 1: be like a slight improvement and it seems like things
- 16:39Speaker 1: just start to click together, which is good, which is
- 16:41Speaker 1: what we want to see. But he preferenced it by
- 16:43Speaker 1: saying he doesn't believe that just because they'll have the
- 16:47Speaker 1: two extra bikes next year that it's going to make
- 16:50Speaker 1: a massive difference straight away. He thinks twenty twenty six
- 16:53Speaker 1: is going to be the year where Yamaha can finally
- 16:56Speaker 1: be competitive again. And I think it kind of rings
- 16:59Speaker 1: true because obviously you can see how much far do
- 17:02Speaker 1: you caddy have? Just like progressed forward, katm is similar,
- 17:07Speaker 1: a prilier is similar. I think Yamaha, you can see
- 17:11Speaker 1: them trying and as much as you know, we hate
- 17:14Speaker 1: seeing Fabio who's a world champion down the back, saying
- 17:16Speaker 1: with Alex Trenz, who's a multiple Grand Prix race when
- 17:19Speaker 1: a down the back. Unfortunately, they're gonna stay down there
- 17:23Speaker 1: until they start getting that extra data that they need, right.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Yeah, agreed, But I think the thing with Yamaha that
- 17:29Speaker 3: separates them from Honda for me is they kind of
- 17:31Speaker 3: there seems to be a plan there, right, there's a
- 17:33Speaker 3: pathway to get out of this. You have two more
- 17:35Speaker 3: bikes next year, which means you double the data and
- 17:37Speaker 3: theoretically half the time it needs to get back towards
- 17:41Speaker 3: at midfield and then the front again. Their big hope
- 17:44Speaker 3: is that they understand what they're doing and how they're
- 17:46Speaker 3: doing it before you get to this big reg re
- 17:48Speaker 3: set for twenty seven. But I think what you were
- 17:50Speaker 3: saying twenty six, I would imagine that they're going to
- 17:53Speaker 3: be stiffing around for podiums and things in eighteen months
- 17:56Speaker 3: time and that's well, that's difficult for someone like Fabio
- 17:58Speaker 3: to take because we already know how the guys he's
- 18:00Speaker 3: won a World Championship, his commitment to that project and
- 18:04Speaker 3: their commitment to him. They know that if they provide
- 18:08Speaker 3: the materials, that this guy's good enough to win a
- 18:10Speaker 3: World Championship, win Grand Prix. Yeah, they're a long way
- 18:13Speaker 3: away from that at the moment, but I think the
- 18:15Speaker 3: hunger and the determination to drag this back to the
- 18:19Speaker 3: top for Fabio is pretty high because if you can
- 18:22Speaker 3: do that, if you can take something that's from rock
- 18:24Speaker 3: bottom and drag it back towards the front, that's a
- 18:26Speaker 3: pretty big tick on the CV for him. But there
- 18:29Speaker 3: does seem to be a plan there, and I think
- 18:32Speaker 3: you know, they're throwing everything they can at testing. That
- 18:34Speaker 3: obviously got the concessions this year, so they can test
- 18:36Speaker 3: more and more and more. Having two more bikes next year,
- 18:39Speaker 3: and I think having that likely lineup of Miller and
- 18:42Speaker 3: Olivera is really important because they need a couple of
- 18:46Speaker 3: experienced guys who know all of the other machinery on
- 18:49Speaker 3: the grid. Because you look at those two guys, they've
- 18:51Speaker 3: ridden for every other manufacturer between them, so they know
- 18:54Speaker 3: what works elsewhere and they can bring some fresh eyeas
- 18:56Speaker 3: to the project. There is a pathway there. Honda at
- 18:59Speaker 3: the moment feel like they're just sort of paddling and
- 19:01Speaker 3: trying to survive, whereas you get the sense that Yamaha
- 19:04Speaker 3: is swimming. You know, they're swimming in the correct direction.
- 19:07Speaker 3: It's going to be slow for them, but there is
- 19:08Speaker 3: a pathway. I'm still not sure what Honda are doing.
- 19:11Speaker 3: They seem a long way away from even having a pathway,
- 19:14Speaker 3: and I think that's what separates those two manufacturers down
- 19:16Speaker 3: the back. Yamaha has a way out. Honda is still
- 19:19Speaker 3: looking for theirs.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Well, Honda. This weekend we'll have Stefan Bradle as a
- 19:23Speaker 1: wild card, and we always love a good wild card.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Makes me think back to Danny Paturosa. He's wild carded
- 19:29Speaker 1: here with KTM in the past. I think that for Honda,
- 19:34Speaker 1: Luca Marini, it's hard to say because used to read
- 19:40Speaker 1: the articles or you read the statements, and they say
- 19:42Speaker 1: they're trying, they're trying, they're trying new things, but like
- 19:45Speaker 1: you said, it just seems like they're not necessarily taking
- 19:49Speaker 1: the steps or getting the answers that they're needing. Right,
- 19:52Speaker 1: so we're going to just see them down the back
- 19:55Speaker 1: and hopefully finishing races.
- 19:57Speaker 3: It's interesting when you look at those two Factory Honda
- 20:00Speaker 3: with Luca Marini and Juan Meir, you get the sense
- 20:03Speaker 3: that Marini knows where the limit of the bike is
- 20:06Speaker 3: and would like to remain on the safe side of
- 20:08Speaker 3: doing that, and I think that's why you've seen him
- 20:09Speaker 3: screed one point this year and not fall off very much.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Whereas Juan Miir, he's one of these guys that he
- 20:14Speaker 3: knows where the limit is and he's almost unwilling to
- 20:17Speaker 3: accept that. He's going to push himself harder and harder
- 20:19Speaker 3: and harder. And every time you see that the graphic
- 20:22Speaker 3: come up on the screen, you expect it to say
- 20:23Speaker 3: Juan Meir crash rider okay, because it happens so often
- 20:27Speaker 3: with him. He's hit the deck so many times this season.
- 20:29Speaker 3: But what I thought was interesting at Aragon was there
- 20:32Speaker 3: were some flashes from the LCR boys, like Nakagami raced
- 20:35Speaker 3: really well on Sunday at Aragon. Jaanes Arko was kind
- 20:38Speaker 3: of the under the radar star of Friday. Put the
- 20:40Speaker 3: Hondre into Q two qualified higher than it's been a year,
- 20:43Speaker 3: and I think he's actually had a pretty decent year. Obviously,
- 20:47Speaker 3: it's a massive downturn compared to last year and he's
- 20:50Speaker 3: on a Pramack de Catti, but he's been pretty decent there.
- 20:52Speaker 3: So look, it's there's a bit of self preservation with Marini,
- 20:56Speaker 3: and I can understand that he could also do that
- 20:58Speaker 3: because he's got a second year on his cod track
- 21:00Speaker 3: next year, so there's no point smashing yourself up for
- 21:02Speaker 3: a bike that's going to struggle to get into two
- 21:04Speaker 3: Q two. And it's absolutely best day. But it is amazing,
- 21:08Speaker 3: isn't it. Like we looked at Honda for years as
- 21:10Speaker 3: being the absolute gold standard of the sport, and there
- 21:13Speaker 3: were times during the Marques era that they were. But
- 21:16Speaker 3: I think it also shows you how good Marques was
- 21:18Speaker 3: because there were clearly times where that bike wasn't the
- 21:21Speaker 3: best bike on the grid. I still vividly remember going
- 21:24Speaker 3: to a pre season test in Sepang, which would have
- 21:27Speaker 3: been let's say nineteen I think it was eighteen or nineteen,
- 21:31Speaker 3: I can't remember which year, and they were so embarrassed
- 21:34Speaker 3: hod that they were getting blitzed on the straight by
- 21:36Speaker 3: the Jacadi and the Daviciosa era that they said to Marques,
- 21:39Speaker 3: we're going to make you a bike that's faster on
- 21:41Speaker 3: the strait, but it's probably going to be harder to
- 21:43Speaker 3: ride in the quarters, and you're just going to have
- 21:45Speaker 3: to deal with it. And so every other Honda ride
- 21:47Speaker 3: of that year spent most of the season picking gravel
- 21:49Speaker 3: out of their teeth, and Mark being Mark's just like okay,
- 21:52Speaker 3: and then papered over the cracks by being Marques and
- 21:55Speaker 3: was able to win races and do what Marques did.
- 21:58Speaker 3: So it does show you that for a lot of years,
- 22:00Speaker 3: maybe a lot of the alarm bells were ringing quietly
- 22:02Speaker 3: in the background, but Marquez was so good that he
- 22:05Speaker 3: was actually able to paper over the cracks. Once they
- 22:07Speaker 3: lost him, I think that was when Honda went, oh,
- 22:09Speaker 3: we really are in some trouble here and it's going
- 22:11Speaker 3: to take him a fair while to dig their way
- 22:13Speaker 3: out of it.
- 22:14Speaker 1: That just shows, right, you can't build a bike that
- 22:16Speaker 1: is just around a certain rider. It has to be
- 22:19Speaker 1: something that all the different riding styles can suit. I
- 22:22Speaker 1: fear that it's kind of what katm have done, is
- 22:24Speaker 1: they've built a bike that suits a certain rider. Because
- 22:27Speaker 1: Jack and Brad to me are very similar. I think
- 22:31Speaker 1: that Pedro Acosta very similar as well. They love to
- 22:35Speaker 1: slide that rear into entry, so hopefully they're not heading
- 22:40Speaker 1: in that direction either. Because the KATM was pretty much
- 22:43Speaker 1: built just like the Honda for so long, wasn't it,
- 22:46Speaker 1: with the design and everything.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Yeah, and what's interesting with KATM, particularly next year, You've
- 22:52Speaker 3: got this situation where a Costa is in the factory
- 22:54Speaker 3: team for the first time, and the second team that
- 22:56Speaker 3: get the Tech three team is going to have two
- 22:58Speaker 3: Brandy riders in an About and Maverick Vinalez, coming from
- 23:02Speaker 3: very different parts of the axis. So you've got a
- 23:05Speaker 3: Decatti rider and an Aprillier rider coming into Rider KTM.
- 23:08Speaker 3: So I think the development you can imagine that they're
- 23:12Speaker 3: going to head down whatever patha Costa wants to take
- 23:16Speaker 3: the bike because he's their guy for the next decade.
- 23:19Speaker 3: If they play it right, he's the guy that's probably
- 23:21Speaker 3: going to win them the world title somewhere down the
- 23:23Speaker 3: track if the bike is good enough. So the other
- 23:25Speaker 3: guys might have to make do with a bike that
- 23:27Speaker 3: Pedro wants. And well, you're going to have a twenty
- 23:30Speaker 3: year old or twenty one next year a guy directing
- 23:33Speaker 3: your development of a bike trying to take on Tocadi.
- 23:36Speaker 3: It's a big, big ask. But we also know that
- 23:38Speaker 3: he's a generational talent. So if you're going to hit
- 23:40Speaker 3: your wagon too anything, maybe hit your wagon to the
- 23:42Speaker 3: generational talent and not the guys that have been around
- 23:44Speaker 3: for a while.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Well for guys, well those of you listening, Sorry, guys,
- 23:48Speaker 1: those are you listening? Turn eight at this track is
- 23:52Speaker 1: the hardest breaking track. But Matt, what corners should they
- 23:56Speaker 1: watch out for for the best overtakes and action pat
- 24:02Speaker 1: content this weekend?
- 24:04Speaker 3: Well, the first quarter of any race at Massada, where
- 24:07Speaker 3: you've got the right followed by the left, there's always
- 24:09Speaker 3: a bit of an action zone there, and it's quite
- 24:11Speaker 3: a short run from the start finish line into turn one,
- 24:14Speaker 3: so it's always a little bit chaotic there. But it's
- 24:16Speaker 3: the end of the back straight, isn't it where a
- 24:18Speaker 3: lot of the passes get made into that final sector there.
- 24:21Speaker 3: You can really hug the inside there and push your
- 24:24Speaker 3: opponent out wide. But a lot of these races, particularly
- 24:26Speaker 3: in the lower classes, they get settled in that final sector.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Moto three at Messado is always one of those ones
- 24:32Speaker 3: that you settle in for the last lap, and if
- 24:35Speaker 3: there's a pack of nine on the final lap, you
- 24:37Speaker 3: absolutely know there's two or three of them that probably
- 24:39Speaker 3: aren't making the check at flag. It can get a
- 24:40Speaker 3: little bit chaotic going into the final sequence there. So
- 24:45Speaker 3: three at Messado is always a bit of a highlight
- 24:47Speaker 3: because it's just shake your head and hope for the
- 24:49Speaker 3: best a lot of the time. But it's a great track.
- 24:51Speaker 3: I mean, it's one of those tracks that it's stood
- 24:53Speaker 3: the test of time. It's got a lot of character.
- 24:55Speaker 3: There's some super fast flowing sections, but a good first
- 24:58Speaker 3: corner and a good last corner. Sign me up because
- 25:01Speaker 3: we know there's going to be action at both of them.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Let's talk about Moto three and Moto two because recently
- 25:06Speaker 1: you wrote an article where you had Jack Appleyard, the
- 25:09Speaker 1: Moto GP commentator and Pitt Lane reporter, who gave his
- 25:13Speaker 1: thoughts on who are going to be the future stars
- 25:16Speaker 1: of Moto GP, and he did feature our Australian Center aegis,
- 25:21Speaker 1: which we love for. But Moto two, are we going
- 25:25Speaker 1: to see another Dixon on the podium or is it
- 25:30Speaker 1: going to go back to the ways of.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Before Moto two has been utterly bizarre this year because
- 25:35Speaker 3: I don't think Dixon scored pointed about the first five
- 25:38Speaker 3: races off the top of my head, and he's been
- 25:39Speaker 3: the form guy pretty much ever since, obviously one last
- 25:42Speaker 3: Sunday Aragon. It's been a strange season Moto two because
- 25:45Speaker 3: you've had some of the front runner guys get injured
- 25:48Speaker 3: like Agura. Sergio Garcia was absolutely horrendous last weekend of
- 25:54Speaker 3: He was basically right the way down the back, got
- 25:56Speaker 3: a long lap, penalty, parked it, and they walked out
- 25:59Speaker 3: the back of the garage. I think he may have
- 26:00Speaker 3: just gotten the higher car and gone straight to the airport.
- 26:02Speaker 3: He certainly wasn't having around for a hanging around for
- 26:05Speaker 3: the end of that race, So there's some discussion that
- 26:07Speaker 3: he's head bight have dropped a little bit after it
- 26:09Speaker 3: was overlooked for the Prama Yamaha Moto GP promotion, which
- 26:12Speaker 3: is interesting from a psychological point of view. But god's
- 26:15Speaker 3: been such a weird season in Moto two. But you
- 26:18Speaker 3: mentioned the chat I have with Jack Appleyard. I thought
- 26:22Speaker 3: Jack's an interesting guy to get his perspective on Moto
- 26:25Speaker 3: two and Moto three, simply because he's around those guys
- 26:27Speaker 3: so much. He's in the pit lane. We hear him
- 26:29Speaker 3: on the World feed commentating Moto two and Moto three.
- 26:32Speaker 3: He's got a pretty good finger on the pulse for
- 26:35Speaker 3: who's coming through and who's going to make some waves
- 26:37Speaker 3: in years to come. And look, I mean there's a
- 26:39Speaker 3: couple of absolute obvious slam dunk ones there and that
- 26:41Speaker 3: David Alonzo in Moto three, the young Colombian is absolutely
- 26:46Speaker 3: the guy to watch. And what he's doing in Moto
- 26:48Speaker 3: three this year, he's doing things that he's approaching a
- 26:51Speaker 3: record that Valentino Rossi set in nineteen ninety seven in
- 26:53Speaker 3: the light light class, So that shows you the sort
- 26:55Speaker 3: of company he's keeping. But really interesting that he spoke
- 26:58Speaker 3: about center AGEUS and maturity and the progression and just
- 27:02Speaker 3: how methodical he is and the way he approaches it
- 27:06Speaker 3: for a young guy who's been around for a little while.
- 27:08Speaker 3: And I think it was one of the things that
- 27:09Speaker 3: you said when you spoke to him in the mid
- 27:11Speaker 3: season break. He's just really well put together and really
- 27:14Speaker 3: thoughtful for someone who's so inexperienced, and I really like
- 27:17Speaker 3: that about him. I think he's got the right attitude.
- 27:20Speaker 3: He's not trying to win every race yesterday, But there
- 27:22Speaker 3: is a gradual progression with him, and he's looked more
- 27:25Speaker 3: and more comfortable as this season's gone on. He's had
- 27:27Speaker 3: a couple of quiet races in the last couple but
- 27:30Speaker 3: I don't know about you, but he seems like off
- 27:32Speaker 3: the bike he's super convincing. And Jack's point was, at
- 27:37Speaker 3: some point Jack Miller is not going to be on
- 27:38Speaker 3: the moor GP grip. We thought it might not be
- 27:40Speaker 3: next year, but it looks like that's going to continue.
- 27:43Speaker 3: So when Jack's off the greed in years to come,
- 27:45Speaker 3: who's the next Australian to step up? Because he's got
- 27:47Speaker 3: this huge run of Ossie's on the grid that goes
- 27:49Speaker 3: back to the early nineteen eighties. The very fact that
- 27:52Speaker 3: he thought that Center's on the right track to perhaps
- 27:55Speaker 3: be Jack's successor sometime in the future was really interesting
- 27:58Speaker 3: because one thing with Jack Appleyard he knows those lower
- 28:02Speaker 3: categories so well. And yeah, pretty interesting to hear his
- 28:05Speaker 3: thoughts on Center and pretty exciting for Australian fans. I think, well,
- 28:08Speaker 3: let's talk.
- 28:08Speaker 1: About the other Aussies as well. Joel and Jacob in
- 28:12Speaker 1: Moto three. So Joel's been on a run where he's
- 28:16Speaker 1: been qualifying really well. We mention this in every part
- 28:19Speaker 1: he's qualifying well. He's starting off the race good because
- 28:22Speaker 1: he's in one of those front two rows, but it
- 28:24Speaker 1: seems like midway through the race he's almost fading a
- 28:28Speaker 1: little bit. Is that just because of tie away? Is
- 28:32Speaker 1: it physical being able to withstand the race or is
- 28:36Speaker 1: it just because that Obviously the Colombians and the Spanish
- 28:39Speaker 1: are just able to keep going the distance.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Yeah, probably a bit of column and a bit of columbo.
- 28:45Speaker 3: I think with Joel, we know how good he is
- 28:47Speaker 3: over one lap and he probably outqualifies the performance of
- 28:52Speaker 3: the bike a lot of the time on the one lap.
- 28:53Speaker 3: He's so so good over one lap, so he puts
- 28:55Speaker 3: himself in a good position to start races. Harder to
- 28:59Speaker 3: maintain for him him on that machinery over the course
- 29:01Speaker 3: of a race, and he knows his type management is
- 29:04Speaker 3: something he needs to get a little bit better at.
- 29:05Speaker 3: But it's good to see that he's in the conversation.
- 29:08Speaker 3: There's absolutely no question that he's got one lap speed,
- 29:11Speaker 3: and we know how how brave the young bloke is,
- 29:13Speaker 3: so I do enjoy the way he's going about it.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Jacob Rolston. He's had a couple of difficult races pretty
- 29:19Speaker 3: much since he had that crash in Germany. Things haven't
- 29:21Speaker 3: been great, but I don't think it undoes what he's
- 29:24Speaker 3: done as a rookie in such a tough field and
- 29:26Speaker 3: a pretty high profile team as well. When you're riding
- 29:28Speaker 3: for a brand like that writing for Hervet pontcheral, the
- 29:31Speaker 3: eyeballs are on you, so on balance, I think he's
- 29:34Speaker 3: had a really really strong rookie season. I think he's
- 29:36Speaker 3: probably a little bit too far back to weird Rookie
- 29:38Speaker 3: of the Year now with Anhelpakeris has taken a bit
- 29:41Speaker 3: of a lead over him there. But he's been good
- 29:44Speaker 3: over the course of the season. But we just need,
- 29:46Speaker 3: you know, maybe a little bit more of what we
- 29:47Speaker 3: saw in the first half rather than these last three
- 29:49Speaker 3: or four races because he's on a bit of a
- 29:51Speaker 3: run of outs at the moment. Let's see if Massano
- 29:54Speaker 3: can unlock something for him this Sunday.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Fingers Crossy can fingers cross, will see and Ossie and
- 29:59Speaker 1: hopefully three podiums. But Matt, let's do something a bit
- 30:04Speaker 1: different in this episode. I want to hear from you.
- 30:06Speaker 1: I want to hear your Protero GP sprint podium and
- 30:12Speaker 1: your Grand Prix podium on Sunday. Who your top three?
- 30:16Speaker 3: Ah, I'm so glad you've done this because I spent
- 30:18Speaker 3: last week lighting this guy on fire and a story
- 30:21Speaker 3: that I wrote for Fox Sports, and I didn't feel
- 30:23Speaker 3: bad about it because it was statistically justified. But I'm
- 30:26Speaker 3: going to say, I'm going to go sprint podium, Smoky,
- 30:30Speaker 3: and I hope you're sitting down for this. Franco Morbidelli
- 30:33Speaker 3: is going to be on the sprint podium on Saturday.
- 30:36Speaker 3: What I'm calling it right now?
- 30:39Speaker 1: All right?
- 30:40Speaker 3: I like that contravertion GP twenty four. Messano knows the
- 30:45Speaker 3: track like the back of his hand, as all the
- 30:47Speaker 3: Rossi proteges do, and he's been a little bit better
- 30:50Speaker 3: of late Franco. I'm always prepared to throw last Sunday
- 30:53Speaker 3: at Aragne out the window because it was such an
- 30:55Speaker 3: outline with the lack of group and what have you.
- 30:57Speaker 3: But if he's ever going to fire a shot on
- 30:59Speaker 3: that GP twenty four, it's this weekend, and I think
- 31:02Speaker 3: he sneaks onto the podium in the sprint. So now
- 31:07Speaker 3: that you've asked me a question, I get to ask
- 31:08Speaker 3: you one because I should do some journalistic things here.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Who is your most likely non de Catti rider to
- 31:16Speaker 3: get on a podium this weekend?
- 31:18Speaker 1: Most likely NONJ Catty writer podium this weekend? Or I
- 31:23Speaker 1: wasn't expecting this.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Question, which is why I did it.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Yes, I'm thinking someone who can handle the grip. I'm
- 31:31Speaker 1: thinking or I want to say either a Costa because
- 31:37Speaker 1: I feel like he's on a run, He's got the
- 31:39Speaker 1: settings back to where he's at, he's feeling comfortable. But
- 31:42Speaker 1: then earlier you mentioned Vinalees. Part of me also wants
- 31:45Speaker 1: to say Vinals. Maybe in the sprint only. I don't
- 31:49Speaker 1: necessarily think the main Grand Prix.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Yeah, not a bad shout, because the thing with Maverick
- 31:53Speaker 3: is it's either absolutely amazing or absolutely awful. There's nothing
- 31:56Speaker 3: in between, and he's due one of these amazing weekends.
- 32:00Speaker 3: I think, you know, I don't know about you. I
- 32:01Speaker 3: look back at this season so far, after twelve rounds,
- 32:04Speaker 3: you have to remind yourself that, oh, yeah, Decaddie's won
- 32:06Speaker 3: every race, every Grand Prix but one, and the one
- 32:09Speaker 3: they didn't win was won by Perfrick Vinales, which just
- 32:11Speaker 3: seems completely preposterous when you see weekends like last weekend
- 32:15Speaker 3: at Aragon when he's last before he parks the bike.
- 32:17Speaker 3: But his high points at Massano are pretty high. He's
- 32:20Speaker 3: had some good results there in the past. As we mentioned,
- 32:22Speaker 3: he'd won a Grand Prix previously, so don't mind that.
- 32:25Speaker 3: And the best thing about these predictions is if both
- 32:28Speaker 3: of them come true, then we look like geniuses, and
- 32:30Speaker 3: if neither of them happen, we will never mention them again.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Well, it was like our Aragon preview where they're talking
- 32:35Speaker 1: about how the track's going to just shew the tires up.
- 32:38Speaker 1: It's going to be super abrasive, and they're all saying
- 32:40Speaker 1: there's no grip. So our crystal ball needs to be
- 32:44Speaker 1: shined a bit better so we can see what's happening.
- 32:47Speaker 3: I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm denying
- 32:49Speaker 3: making any such comments until anyone proves otherwise.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Look, guys, Matt, that is enough of your time that
- 32:55Speaker 1: I've taken up and I think that's about everything we
- 32:58Speaker 1: have for the preview of Moto EP PITTOK. But guess
- 33:01Speaker 1: what We're gonna be back in your ears Monday or
- 33:04Speaker 1: Tuesday next week to talk all about the sam Marino
- 33:08Speaker 1: Grand Prix and hopefully the sam Marino Test at Mazzano two.
- 33:13Speaker 1: But you can catch all the action alive and add
- 33:15Speaker 1: break free on Fox Sports and KO plus. Keep up
- 33:18Speaker 1: to date with all the leaders, news and some cool
- 33:21Speaker 1: videos on our socials at Fox Motorsport, or you can
- 33:25Speaker 1: listen and read Matt's articles on the website Fox sports
- 33:28Speaker 1: dot com dot au Forward Slash Motorsport. But from Matt
- 33:32Speaker 1: and myself Ranita, We'll be back soon with more Moto
- 33:36Speaker 1: GP pittok
