- 0:55Speaker 5: Tate and Pauli, Paul o' neil.
- 0:58Speaker 3: My goodness, what year is it?
- 1:00Speaker 4: Twenty eighteen PM.
- 1:05Speaker 5: Hanging with Hester and Flynn and Flynn every now and then,
- 1:09Speaker 5: and Flynn when he shows up, actually you show up
- 1:16Speaker 5: maybe not by seven oh one though.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Well, that evening traffic was tough.
- 1:21Speaker 5: That same picture that I would get every time, hey man,
- 1:25Speaker 5: interstate's backed up. It's like, God, those same cars are
- 1:29Speaker 5: in front of you every time you're on the interstate.
- 1:31Speaker 4: We're worth on the same schedule.
- 1:32Speaker 5: It's so crazy, license plate matches and every a little
- 1:38Speaker 5: nostalgia here in the studio. Yeah, then it's like freaky
- 1:42Speaker 5: Friday because Tata is over on the audio board.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:46Speaker 6: I don't I don't like it. I'm in a little
- 1:47Speaker 6: corner like in order to get. Paul could block me
- 1:50Speaker 6: in if he wanted to. Not not a fan of the.
- 1:53Speaker 7: Very aggressive Ye same, Yeah, nobody puts baby in the corner.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Huh except Paul's true. I don't know. It is the
- 2:01Speaker 4: sidelo ones that are typically the baddest.
- 2:04Speaker 6: We're we're close, we're close, Yeah, we got we actually
- 2:09Speaker 6: have an appointment today.
- 2:10Speaker 4: Stop it, so eleven thirty. I'll be over there.
- 2:13Speaker 6: I'll just be there for support, stand there and kind
- 2:15Speaker 6: of look like an idiot like I do pretty much
- 2:16Speaker 6: every just.
- 2:17Speaker 5: Be there like the So every staff has these I'm
- 2:20Speaker 5: not calling any staffs out, but every staff has a
- 2:22Speaker 5: coach that doesn't do anything, and all he sits over
- 2:25Speaker 5: there does is not his head and go yep.
- 2:29Speaker 6: Stop talking about the tight end coach like that kind
- 2:31Speaker 6: of piggybacking off of what this coach he just said.
- 2:35Speaker 4: The detack. Yeah, I'm supporting.
- 2:37Speaker 6: I'm support staff for sure, an interior division of that coach.
- 2:41Speaker 5: Not talking about anybody specifically, by the way, but yeah,
- 2:45Speaker 5: a lot of times tight ends coach in most places,
- 2:48Speaker 5: And look and that was twenty.
- 2:50Speaker 7: A lot of times it's running backs coach that that's
- 2:52Speaker 7: not that's very far off.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Not all of them. Okay, the one we've had here
- 2:57Speaker 4: usually pretty much. I'm talking more NFL.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Yeah, this is NFL or NFL Yeah, NFL tight end
- 3:03Speaker 5: coach kind of coaching good route gates.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Yeah, no crap?
- 3:07Speaker 4: Cool? He really wait to stick your nose in there
- 3:10Speaker 4: on that block. All right? Thanks, kid, that's the player talking.
- 3:16Speaker 5: And look, I love my I love all the running
- 3:18Speaker 5: back coaches that had in the NFL. But what do
- 3:21Speaker 5: you really tell LT.
- 3:22Speaker 3: On this play?
- 3:25Speaker 7: Let's see, I was watching the film. Yeah, and it's
- 3:29Speaker 7: a pretty nice job. So keep it up next week. Yes,
- 3:33Speaker 7: go the Jets.
- 3:35Speaker 4: That's about all you really like.
- 3:39Speaker 7: Sometimes like the only responsibility a lot of times that
- 3:44Speaker 7: running backs coach has, or the tight ends coach has,
- 3:46Speaker 7: it's like he gets that one like breakdown in a
- 3:51Speaker 7: meeting throughout the week, like.
- 3:52Speaker 4: All right, you're in charge of the three to two
- 3:58Speaker 4: to five.
- 3:59Speaker 7: You're in charge of breaking it down and giving us
- 4:01Speaker 7: that that installation. You're gonna tell us about that that divise,
- 4:04Speaker 7: So study all week, Right, you're prepped next week.
- 4:08Speaker 4: You're gonna do it every week. Yep.
- 4:09Speaker 7: You're gonna give us their tendencies on third and two
- 4:12Speaker 7: to five yards, right, that's it. They get up there,
- 4:14Speaker 7: that's their moment to shine. Put it on the resume. Yeah,
- 4:24Speaker 7: goal line sometimes for running back maybe maybe short yardage
- 4:27Speaker 7: depends on where you are. Sometimes oline coach, sometimes running
- 4:30Speaker 7: make the Yeah. AnyWho, Yeah, we digress.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Uh.
- 4:35Speaker 7: Speaking of flashback, you said, it's kind of like twenty eighteen.
- 4:40Speaker 7: Are we is USA men's soccer like the same team
- 4:44Speaker 7: as thirty years ago? Yeah, flash back to that.
- 4:49Speaker 4: That sucked last night.
- 4:53Speaker 5: For one Belgium like forty to one by far the
- 4:58Speaker 5: better side, not even close. So when I say this, this
- 5:00Speaker 5: is not as slight as them, because they would have
- 5:02Speaker 5: won the game regardless.
- 5:04Speaker 3: You gave up four goals that none of them.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Were class just the first goal just laziness, the second
- 5:11Speaker 5: one you got big boyd.
- 5:13Speaker 4: The third one I.
- 5:14Speaker 5: Haven't seen in a ten U soccer game ever, and
- 5:17Speaker 5: then the fourth one was just you quit.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Sucked.
- 5:22Speaker 4: God. The crowd was awesome.
- 5:24Speaker 5: They tried Every time you like completed a pass that
- 5:27Speaker 5: didn't get turned over, which wasn't very many, they were
- 5:30Speaker 5: chanting and trying to get you involved in the game.
- 5:33Speaker 5: You had a couple of players that you could tell
- 5:36Speaker 5: were trying everything they could and just no help around them.
- 5:41Speaker 5: It felt like the old soccer days where for the US,
- 5:44Speaker 5: I'm talking where you just kind of kicked it around
- 5:47Speaker 5: to the outside and you would send like just a
- 5:49Speaker 5: meaningless cross in and hope somehow someway and find the
- 5:52Speaker 5: head of one of your players instead of like all
- 5:55Speaker 5: the things that built up to that game, where you
- 5:57Speaker 5: had class and you had incredible ball you know, passes
- 6:01Speaker 5: and runs from players that were getting in different channels
- 6:04Speaker 5: and you were fighting them and they were finishing. Man,
- 6:06Speaker 5: it felt like we took twenty five year step back
- 6:11Speaker 5: and that that's what it looked like. And not that
- 6:13Speaker 5: the US didn't have you know, good moments twenty five
- 6:16Speaker 5: years ago. They certainly did two thousand and two. You know,
- 6:19Speaker 5: they get to the round of sixteen, and that World
- 6:23Speaker 5: Cup is you know as well. But oof, man, that
- 6:28Speaker 5: was that was very, very tough to watch. Your stars
- 6:33Speaker 5: certainly did not shine brightest. Christian polistic m i Ah
- 6:39Speaker 5: turned the ball over on almost every touch that he
- 6:42Speaker 5: had early in the game. Every time he touched, he
- 6:46Speaker 5: felt like he turned it over. There was nothing dynamic
- 6:48Speaker 5: about his play. And then look he got he got
- 6:52Speaker 5: he kicked somebody's ankle, But then he goes out of
- 6:54Speaker 5: the game. Man, it's a bad look for Christian Polistic.
- 6:59Speaker 5: He's no longer. He's no longer your best player. I
- 7:03Speaker 5: think that's pretty obvious. World Cup a bad player.
- 7:08Speaker 4: He's no longer he was our best player. I don't know.
- 7:19Speaker 4: I don't like every time.
- 7:23Speaker 7: So I'm watching, I'm watching the two teams play, and
- 7:25Speaker 7: I'm just judging what I'm seeing on skill level.
- 7:29Speaker 2: It was.
- 7:31Speaker 7: A huge difference of skill level, and I'm just like
- 7:35Speaker 7: looking at basic things like okay, well, when they passed
- 7:39Speaker 7: the ball to themselves, they for a lack of a
- 7:43Speaker 7: better term, because I'm not a soccer guy, they catch
- 7:45Speaker 7: it and get it down pretty quick and are moving.
- 7:47Speaker 7: Our guys are like it's bouncing off of them and
- 7:49Speaker 7: bouncing four yards in front of him, and they just
- 7:53Speaker 7: they didn't control the ball very well. They made terrible passes,
- 7:57Speaker 7: like and like, look there was Belgium was playing pretty inspired.
- 8:01Speaker 7: I assume, like all the things happening lead up to
- 8:03Speaker 7: the game, they played pretty inspired.
- 8:04Speaker 5: Like remember they in the eighty six minute of their
- 8:07Speaker 5: of their game Loser Go Home, they were down too nil.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Oh yeah, gegal right, and so they found a way
- 8:13Speaker 5: to tie it up, get the extra time, win it
- 8:14Speaker 5: an extra time, and you know how that is. You
- 8:17Speaker 5: get some just like us in two thousand and seven.
- 8:20Speaker 5: Don't let us get in because if we get in, Yeah.
- 8:22Speaker 4: And that would be bad.
- 8:24Speaker 7: And I know USA played bad, and I know that
- 8:27Speaker 7: there was a discrepancy in talent, But like that, ain't
- 8:30Speaker 7: the Belgian team that I saw playing against Senegal?
- 8:32Speaker 4: No, most of the world really, seriously, it was.
- 8:38Speaker 5: I mean, you were this close to playing Senegal, and
- 8:40Speaker 5: I look, I don't that performance last night. I am
- 8:43Speaker 5: not going to sit here and tell you that that
- 8:45Speaker 5: team could be anybody.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Now.
- 8:49Speaker 5: I don't think Senegal is a better team than Belgium. No,
- 8:52Speaker 5: I mean I don't. It didn't matter if you played Senegal.
- 8:55Speaker 5: It didn't matter if you played Kate Verde. It didn't
- 8:57Speaker 5: matter if you played give me a give me a
- 9:00Speaker 5: team in the World Cup. Right, even maybe some of
- 9:02Speaker 5: the teams you already beat in this World Cup that
- 9:05Speaker 5: that wasn't gonna win you.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Yeah, that was bad.
- 9:08Speaker 7: It was an embarrassing It was the way that you
- 9:12Speaker 7: gave up goals was embarrassing.
- 9:14Speaker 4: It was very embarrassing.
- 9:15Speaker 7: It was this guy with the man button got big boy,
- 9:19Speaker 7: he got a big boy he.
- 9:20Speaker 5: Did, yeah, and I thought he played eight years old.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Last World Cup.
- 9:25Speaker 7: They had to step up and play amazing defense when
- 9:27Speaker 7: they got the red card last game, and that defense,
- 9:32Speaker 7: I don't know where they were. And I get it
- 9:35Speaker 7: you're playing a different class of player, but it was
- 9:38Speaker 7: it was very night and day on who the better
- 9:43Speaker 7: soccer team was. First goal, Serginio Desk. Only this guy's face.
- 9:47Speaker 7: How's he so much better than our guys? No, Serginio Desk.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Just the lazy didn't close out the second one you mentioned,
- 9:56Speaker 5: reim got big boy. The third one the goalie like,
- 9:59Speaker 5: come on man, and it's like, I mean that, just
- 10:02Speaker 5: that that At that stage in the World Cup, you're
- 10:04Speaker 5: down to sixteen, you know, sixteen teams and.
- 10:10Speaker 7: Oof, that's what happened. It looked like it was And
- 10:15Speaker 7: I get it. There's a lot of pressure on them.
- 10:18Speaker 7: It's a big stage. Yeah, And these dudes have never
- 10:20Speaker 7: especially the guys that play at MLS, Like there's these
- 10:23Speaker 7: dudes have never played anything close to this, So I
- 10:26Speaker 7: get it. Like the guys Rebelsium, they're playing in that
- 10:30Speaker 7: and packed out stadium.
- 10:32Speaker 5: And most of our players, most of our players do
- 10:35Speaker 5: play in top flight Premier League over in Europe Syria.
- 10:38Speaker 4: We not the goalie. The goalie doesn't That's what I say.
- 10:41Speaker 5: So Tim Marie plays for MLS, the thirty eight year old,
- 10:44Speaker 5: but he played for Fulham forever in the Premier League.
- 10:47Speaker 5: They're the goalies and an MLS player And that felt
- 10:50Speaker 5: like a moment that was far too big.
- 10:52Speaker 4: He panicked and.
- 10:53Speaker 5: Then now, unfortunately that's going to be anytime he's mentioned
- 10:58Speaker 5: like that's going to be the first thing.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure.
- 11:02Speaker 7: There was just I don't understand the miscommunication when there
- 11:05Speaker 7: was a like a ball in no man's land. Yeah, okay,
- 11:09Speaker 7: let's just take the bad goal aside, like the third
- 11:11Speaker 7: goal they scored, Let's just take that one out of it.
- 11:14Speaker 7: There was a couple other times where the defenseman didn't
- 11:18Speaker 7: know if the goalie was going to come out and
- 11:20Speaker 7: get the ball. There was times that I think it
- 11:23Speaker 7: led to the second goal where there was a ball
- 11:25Speaker 7: bouncing around and there's three of them around it and
- 11:28Speaker 7: they all thought each other.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Was going to get the ball and they just stood there.
- 11:31Speaker 7: Yeah, they just stood there, And I don't know, it
- 11:33Speaker 7: was it was frustrating to watch for somebody that doesn't
- 11:36Speaker 7: know soccer, like me like sitting there and watch and
- 11:39Speaker 7: just see him just like look like they were nervous, certainly,
- 11:43Speaker 7: and I'm sure they were, and I get that, but
- 11:46Speaker 7: at some point it's like, all right, we're fifteen minutes
- 11:50Speaker 7: into this thing, this is just soccer, now, let's play. Yeah,
- 11:55Speaker 7: they just they couldn't get out of their own way.
- 11:57Speaker 7: So it sucks because they had everything for him. If
- 12:01Speaker 7: they had even played soccer, had everything tied up.
- 12:04Speaker 5: For doubt, if they would have played like they did
- 12:05Speaker 5: in twenty fourteen against Belgium, now that was Tim Howard
- 12:11Speaker 5: being a superman, but if they would have lost a
- 12:13Speaker 5: game like that one that was like back and forth,
- 12:17Speaker 5: and it's like had moments where one kick here, one
- 12:19Speaker 5: kick there you could and they lose. I think, I
- 12:22Speaker 5: still think, and I'm mind in the moral victories at
- 12:24Speaker 5: this point. I'm tired of that with US soccer. But
- 12:27Speaker 5: it's at a point where you feel much better about it.
- 12:29Speaker 5: It's how you got beat, It's the way you got beat.
- 12:32Speaker 5: It's the performance by people that are supposed to be
- 12:35Speaker 5: your best players.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Yep.
- 12:37Speaker 3: That's what's so maddening about what happened last night.
- 12:40Speaker 7: What's maddening as like just sitting and wanting USA to
- 12:43Speaker 7: be good at everything is You're sitting and watch watching
- 12:47Speaker 7: them play a small country, right, Yeah, I know they
- 12:49Speaker 7: have this amazing soccer. I know, true, I got it,
- 12:52Speaker 7: but like from like a size standpoint, yeah, and you're
- 12:55Speaker 7: watching everybody on their team is bigger, stronger, faster, Yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 7: And I'm like, how is that possible? And I and
- 13:04Speaker 7: we all know why it's possible because your name another
- 13:06Speaker 7: sport that Belgium. Yeah, exactly, everybody plays that sport and
- 13:11Speaker 7: most of we are we argued about last week about
- 13:15Speaker 7: most of the youth is going to play the other sports.
- 13:17Speaker 7: And but but still on that stage, you're like, yes,
- 13:21Speaker 7: we've like we've been building this thing for thirty years.
- 13:24Speaker 4: We got it. We got our guys, yeah, we got.
- 13:27Speaker 7: We got we got our dude just he beat a
- 13:30Speaker 7: red card. He's bad, Like everything's happened in our way.
- 13:33Speaker 7: And then you see these guys like man, that guy's
- 13:35Speaker 7: taller than us. Oh, those guys jump higher than us,
- 13:37Speaker 7: those those are faster. But like I was really impressed
- 13:40Speaker 7: by there that like the angles they played on defense,
- 13:43Speaker 7: like they took all like their their angles and they're
- 13:46Speaker 7: disciplined on like playing defense was perfect and obviously the
- 13:51Speaker 7: American guys.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Just had not seen that in the world.
- 13:55Speaker 7: Kept yet like all the lanes that they were in,
- 13:57Speaker 7: all the all the plays they were trying to run,
- 13:59Speaker 7: put it in a under they were they were outmatched
- 14:02Speaker 7: and to the to the point and you're like, look,
- 14:06Speaker 7: I mean there is a middle ground of what the
- 14:08Speaker 7: argument we had last week about soccer, and I was
- 14:11Speaker 7: talking about you know, how many players do play in
- 14:13Speaker 7: this country and soccer mom term and all that, and
- 14:15Speaker 7: I mean, but you are right about like our best athletes.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I'm not saying they do. I think when you look at.
- 14:23Speaker 5: How you soccer is like it's too hard for somebody
- 14:29Speaker 5: to be able to do it in this country and
- 14:30Speaker 5: stay with it sometimes like the expense of soccer and
- 14:34Speaker 5: the youth systems and like how like it shouldn't be
- 14:36Speaker 5: what it is so like sport now right a little
- 14:39Speaker 5: a little bit like baseball's falling.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Into that a little bit.
- 14:41Speaker 7: Soccer's just always been club. Now everything's like catching up
- 14:44Speaker 7: with it as being club, right.
- 14:46Speaker 5: And so I think there's some people that by the
- 14:49Speaker 5: time you get to twelve thirteen years old, even it's
- 14:53Speaker 5: like we like as a family, like, we can't really
- 14:56Speaker 5: do this anymore.
- 14:58Speaker 4: I've talked to Paris that there minn soccer.
- 15:01Speaker 5: My dad, I mean, my brother and sister they you know,
- 15:07Speaker 5: they are much younger than me, and they did it.
- 15:09Speaker 5: They did it through like FC Dallas system and man,
- 15:12Speaker 5: I remember my dad driving from Treeport to Dallas, Shreeport
- 15:16Speaker 5: to Little Rock, Treeport to Memphis like every weekend. They're
- 15:20Speaker 5: like two three years and you know, look, well balling falling.
- 15:24Speaker 4: On a budget.
- 15:25Speaker 7: But like look look at the mirror, pal you know
- 15:27Speaker 7: what I mean. It's like, look in the mirror. I'm
- 15:30Speaker 7: just saying, like soccer has always been like that. Everything
- 15:32Speaker 7: else is like catching up to that. I think it'd
- 15:34Speaker 7: go in that club route. So it is a challenge
- 15:37Speaker 7: to do. But I mean because even with like but
- 15:40Speaker 7: I don't think that's the main reason if people want
- 15:42Speaker 7: to they don't play.
- 15:43Speaker 3: It's a part of it.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Nothing main.
- 15:45Speaker 5: But like God, this morning on the radio, and I
- 15:48Speaker 5: knew I was gonna hear it's like if we had
- 15:50Speaker 5: Lebron playing goalie.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I hear you sure, like no doubt.
- 15:54Speaker 5: And in other in other countries, like it's the main sport,
- 15:57Speaker 5: so they're gonna get the best athletes, but also, man,
- 15:59Speaker 5: our countries gigantic, huge, like you can still just dedicated
- 16:05Speaker 5: a couple of states. I just don't like the excuse anymore.
- 16:09Speaker 5: If we had Tyreek keel up top.
- 16:10Speaker 4: I get it, I.
- 16:11Speaker 5: Hear you, I do. That's true, though, I hear you right,
- 16:15Speaker 5: it is. But that's not gonna happen. And our country
- 16:18Speaker 5: is big enough that we should be able to find
- 16:21Speaker 5: eleven Jimmies.
- 16:22Speaker 7: And Joe's that Belgium. Can I know you know that's
- 16:26Speaker 7: what I'm sating there watching. Man, we're a lot bigger
- 16:28Speaker 7: than Belgium. But can we just dedicate Arkansas? Y'all be
- 16:33Speaker 7: the soccer state, y'all. Just y'all all your talent. Y'all
- 16:36Speaker 7: are not allowed to play football, baseball, basketball, y'all do soccer.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Let's see Arkansas.
- 16:42Speaker 6: We're gonna get the state of Washington throwing Utah.
- 16:47Speaker 4: I wan Arkansas.
- 16:48Speaker 3: I was kind of got fullbacks there, Bud.
- 16:51Speaker 6: We got some good line. That's a good play. We
- 16:54Speaker 6: need the lineman. I was watching that game.
- 16:57Speaker 7: Last night, and I was thinking about our conversation last
- 16:59Speaker 7: week that we argued about after the game.
- 17:03Speaker 4: I was like, well, all right, kids, USA kids. Everyone
- 17:06Speaker 4: back to the normal sports. Let's go.
- 17:09Speaker 5: That was gonna be one of my points to finish
- 17:11Speaker 5: off this first segment.
- 17:12Speaker 3: I wasn't even gonna bring it up because I didn't
- 17:13Speaker 3: want to throw shade.
- 17:14Speaker 5: But since you did, the thing I hate the most
- 17:18Speaker 5: because I've been in this my whole life. I remember
- 17:21Speaker 5: watching the ninety eight World Cup, me and my older
- 17:24Speaker 5: brother Adam.
- 17:25Speaker 4: We were dialed in. I was thirteen years old.
- 17:27Speaker 5: I remember every moment of it in France and just
- 17:31Speaker 5: really when I fell in love with soccer. And I
- 17:33Speaker 5: watched it before, but that was the moment. So I've
- 17:35Speaker 5: been in this for a long time, thirty years almost,
- 17:38Speaker 5: and not many times certainly where I live in this
- 17:43Speaker 5: country do I have friends that watch it with me
- 17:46Speaker 5: and I can talk about it right, and I can
- 17:48Speaker 5: sit here and I can come to work. Did you
- 17:50Speaker 5: see last night? It just doesn't happen. It's me and
- 17:53Speaker 5: it's Gordy Rush. We wake up on the road when
- 17:56Speaker 5: we're covering LSU games. There's two people awake in the lobby.
- 17:59Speaker 5: It's me and Gordy and we're watching the Premier League
- 18:02Speaker 5: and everybody that comes through there, oh, watching the economy sport.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Huh, every person, everyone that walks by.
- 18:08Speaker 5: I've been dealing with it for years, and so when
- 18:11Speaker 5: we finally get some pot in this with us, we
- 18:13Speaker 5: get some.
- 18:13Speaker 4: People watching with us, and we can talk about it.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Man, it's such a good feeling because, like it's a
- 18:19Speaker 5: sport that we love, we talk about it often, and
- 18:22Speaker 5: then when you have people that are loving it with you,
- 18:24Speaker 5: it's fun just because like every other time, it's the
- 18:27Speaker 5: same old thing that people say.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Oh yeah, soccer, blah blah blah.
- 18:31Speaker 5: And then like immediately after the game was done, I
- 18:34Speaker 5: had two group texts, one from this guy saying, all right,
- 18:37Speaker 5: now back to our normal sports.
- 18:40Speaker 3: I'm like, man, I hate that.
- 18:41Speaker 5: I hate that that and I know it's true, but
- 18:44Speaker 5: I know that's going to be the feeling for most people.
- 18:47Speaker 5: I had another one that said, all right, back to
- 18:50Speaker 5: hating this version of football and they spelled football.
- 18:52Speaker 4: I'm like, schedule, I hate it, and.
- 18:58Speaker 5: I know it's coming every year unless you did something
- 19:00Speaker 5: remarkable and they got close to doing it.
- 19:03Speaker 7: Look, it's unfair, right, it is unfair, but it is
- 19:06Speaker 7: reality that it's a what have you done for me lately?
- 19:10Speaker 4: Situation?
- 19:11Speaker 7: And as well as they played and as exciting as
- 19:14Speaker 7: it was, it's sports. It's what if you've done for
- 19:17Speaker 7: me lately. That's the taste that's gonna be left in
- 19:19Speaker 7: everybody's mouth. Is what is that? And it's and like
- 19:23Speaker 7: you said, if they just played it close and played
- 19:25Speaker 7: with effort and made it like made it like kate
- 19:29Speaker 7: Verde like that, Like if they finished off their tournament
- 19:33Speaker 7: like kate Verde did and it looked gritty, they looked
- 19:36Speaker 7: the part you could tell maybe they weren't, like they
- 19:39Speaker 7: were definitely not the best team. But guess what that
- 19:41Speaker 7: free kid goes in. It's one one. Like I had
- 19:44Speaker 7: the Jesus. I was running around the house screaming gold.
- 19:46Speaker 7: My kids are like, Dad, what's wrong with you? It's sucker,
- 19:49Speaker 7: And it's like I'm excited because I love my country.
- 19:52Speaker 4: I want us to be good. And I was like,
- 19:54Speaker 4: it's one one.
- 19:54Speaker 7: Then like literally forty five seconds later, they score and
- 19:59Speaker 7: it just looked bad, unfortunate, and it's not fair because
- 20:02Speaker 7: they did do some really good things and they did
- 20:04Speaker 7: do a lot of awesome things to prop up USA soccer.
- 20:09Speaker 7: But because it ended that way, it's gonna be a
- 20:14Speaker 7: regression from where it could have been.
- 20:19Speaker 4: And that sucks. I'm sorry, Jake. All good. Let's see
- 20:27Speaker 4: here around your golf telling me you've gotta.
- 20:48Speaker 5: Have more.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Tigers turn talkers. This is off the bench.
- 21:05Speaker 7: Stop.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Can't take them.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Mom, you you have.
- 21:21Speaker 5: Say all right, Welcome back in o t b our
- 21:25Speaker 5: Tuesday shows, brous you are our friends over at Community
- 21:28Speaker 5: Steel Community steell co dot com is the website, buildings,

- 21:37Speaker 5: Shout out to our friends over at Community Steel.
- 21:41Speaker 4: We got the beautiful gold panels up today.
- 21:45Speaker 7: I just said that, you don't know. I just reiterated.
- 21:49Speaker 7: I was emphasizing it. I love a Tuesday. We got
- 21:53Speaker 7: Taylor DJ in today.
- 21:55Speaker 3: By the way, Taylor, how's it going over there.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Bud, I'm making it happen. We're good.
- 21:59Speaker 7: I don't know if we told the listeners, but Taylor
- 22:01Speaker 7: is doing yep audio. We're we're on audio today, firm.
- 22:05Speaker 4: It's weird.
- 22:05Speaker 6: I do audio like semi frequently for hunt Oh do You,
- 22:09Speaker 6: and a lot of times when Moose has the filling
- 22:11Speaker 6: for Scone, I'll come over a year, so like this
- 22:13Speaker 6: is the show.
- 22:14Speaker 4: I do audio for the least but funny enough you
- 22:16Speaker 4: hear every day I dabble. Have you ever done both
- 22:19Speaker 4: at the same time? Is it possible? Yeah, he has.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Yeah, you had all tried to.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Do it on remote that one time, but that's what
- 22:26Speaker 4: it was.
- 22:27Speaker 3: I know, somebody was going back and forth. Was it
- 22:29Speaker 3: when I was sick?
- 22:31Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Which I guess on the remote a little like a
- 22:36Speaker 3: little bit.
- 22:37Speaker 4: I've done it. I don't know what I'm talking for
- 22:41Speaker 4: midday for like five minutes.
- 22:44Speaker 7: We don't even know how to push the on button
- 22:45Speaker 7: in here, Bud. Actually I know how to turn the
- 22:47Speaker 7: lights on.
- 22:48Speaker 5: Yeah you do, Paul. Get that microphone ready over there, Bud.
- 22:51Speaker 5: So Paul was with us back in the day, hanging
- 22:55Speaker 5: with Hester. Shout out to Paul and Neil's good to
- 22:57Speaker 5: be back in studio with him.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Paul.
- 22:59Speaker 5: I know this is basically the same as the one
- 23:02Speaker 5: you do every day. I mean attention to detail. I
- 23:06Speaker 5: want to make sure that we have everything ready to
- 23:08Speaker 5: go the demands of this show or I can't even
- 23:12Speaker 5: imagine what you're.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Dealing with right now, Paul. So we appreciate you being here, Bud.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a lot of work and double duty pretty much.
- 23:20Speaker 5: I mean, we're asking this video and that video and
- 23:23Speaker 5: play with this audio, and it's just a lot.
- 23:25Speaker 4: I'm working on the first segment right now. Get a
- 23:28Speaker 4: little distracted. I'm sorry you hadn't posted it yet, A
- 23:32Speaker 4: little behind. Hey, so the Brave loss last night, Paul unfortunately?
- 23:36Speaker 5: Yeah, so yeah, I was watching US soccer and I
- 23:39Speaker 5: was doubt and I saw Matt Olsen hit a home
- 23:40Speaker 5: run to tie it up, and then then I got
- 23:44Speaker 5: back to being bitter about US soccer.
- 23:45Speaker 4: So it was finally remember, uh, I believe it was
- 23:50Speaker 4: seven six?
- 23:50Speaker 7: Yeah, I just I just got an update. I think uh,
- 23:54Speaker 7: pulistic still turning the ball over right now? Another another
- 23:57Speaker 7: one just now.
- 23:58Speaker 4: It just happened, man, I have I have.
- 24:03Speaker 5: Been on some big stages, like we were fortunate to
- 24:05Speaker 5: be on some big ones, but like I've never been
- 24:07Speaker 5: the player that everybody was hoping counting on like like
- 24:11Speaker 5: that in that situation, how do you bounce back after
- 24:16Speaker 5: like you're supposed to be the guy and then you
- 24:19Speaker 5: play poorly, then you literally limp off the field and
- 24:23Speaker 5: get subbed off.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know, that's tough. I don't know.
- 24:28Speaker 8: I think there was a little If you look closely,
- 24:32Speaker 8: I think there's a little piss on his leg too. Yeah,
- 24:35Speaker 8: shocking how big the moment was for some I know,
- 24:39Speaker 8: and maybe it wasn't. Maybe it was just a bad
- 24:40Speaker 8: day and that's the look. But that's the that's that's
- 24:43Speaker 8: what we all saw. Yeah, that's it. You can't unsee
- 24:45Speaker 8: what you saw. There a goalie that say the stage
- 24:48Speaker 8: is too big for the goalie.
- 24:50Speaker 5: You said it perfectly in the group chat. Nervy the
- 24:55Speaker 5: very first kick, it felt nervy.
- 24:58Speaker 7: They look nervy before the before the like are the
- 25:01Speaker 7: goalkeeper the one like he made a great save within
- 25:04Speaker 7: like a minute and a half into the game, maybe
- 25:07Speaker 7: made a great save, but like everybody looked like they
- 25:10Speaker 7: were stuck in mud like.
- 25:12Speaker 4: Around that guy.
- 25:14Speaker 7: And they would try to clear, like they try to
- 25:18Speaker 7: clear the ball and they'd kick it right to the
- 25:20Speaker 7: other team. They were like passing the ball. I mean,
- 25:24Speaker 7: this is like youth sports. You never passed the ball
- 25:26Speaker 7: blind like in football, quarterbacks never make a blind throw.
- 25:32Speaker 7: They were just passing the ball blindly. I'm sorry, I
- 25:34Speaker 7: know you don't want to talk about it again.
- 25:39Speaker 4: Let me ask you this.
- 25:41Speaker 7: There has been a lot of push towards the US
- 25:46Speaker 7: United States Soccer trying to you know, hopefully get better athletes,
- 25:51Speaker 7: more athletes playing, and man, this is you know they
- 25:54Speaker 7: had the some some decent runs early in two thousands,
- 25:57Speaker 7: said like this is the youth group to be able
- 25:59Speaker 7: to make that that push. Maybe it's not like a
- 26:02Speaker 7: ultra world class push, but like to improve you soccer.
- 26:06Speaker 7: Is US men's soccer better today than it was? Let's
- 26:14Speaker 7: take it like four years ago is a better day
- 26:16Speaker 7: that was twenty years ago?
- 26:19Speaker 5: Definitely better than it was eight years ago. Remember you
- 26:25Speaker 5: didn't qualify, Yeah, World Up.
- 26:27Speaker 7: And I guess I'm not just talking about just like
- 26:30Speaker 7: I guess I'm not talking about the team, like like
- 26:33Speaker 7: the specific results, just like the foundation they're like what
- 26:36Speaker 7: we're putting out there. Like I get it, like maybe
- 26:39Speaker 7: one year you had a better result at the end
- 26:41Speaker 7: of the World Cup, But like as a whole in general,
- 26:44Speaker 7: is it in a better place today than it was
- 26:47Speaker 7: twenty years ago? It was supposed to be, But the
- 26:52Speaker 7: question has to be asked, like after seeing how much
- 26:57Speaker 7: better Belgium was and like knowing that US got a
- 27:02Speaker 7: really good drawing pool play, they looked a ton better.
- 27:07Speaker 7: But like the quality of you know, a team that
- 27:10Speaker 7: they're playing are they in a better place.
- 27:12Speaker 5: Yeah, uh and gosh, so it's it's a great question,
- 27:15Speaker 5: but it's tough to answer. I mean, Belgium is a
- 27:17Speaker 5: bad matchup for them. Belgium beat US five to two
- 27:19Speaker 5: back in March. I mean, so I guess we shouldn't
- 27:23Speaker 5: be as surprised.
- 27:24Speaker 4: As as we were. Just a little friendly.
- 27:27Speaker 3: I'll say this though, I mean, like.
- 27:31Speaker 5: You've got Anthony Robinson place for Fulham, Chris Richards place
- 27:34Speaker 5: for Crystal Palace, Tyler Adams place for Bournemouth. Malik Tilman
- 27:39Speaker 5: plays in the Bundesliga. We mentioned, Christian Polistic plays for
- 27:44Speaker 5: AC Milan Baligan plays for in the top league in France.
- 27:50Speaker 5: Death plays, you know, at a respectable club.
- 27:54Speaker 4: In PSV Balligan looked like he belonged on the field.
- 27:58Speaker 7: Yeah, and maybe a couple of maybe a couple of midfielders, yeah,
- 28:02Speaker 7: look like they're like, okay, these guys look like they blonde.
- 28:05Speaker 7: But most of the guys, yeah, everybody saw it. They
- 28:08Speaker 7: just didn't know where to go.
- 28:09Speaker 5: So like I bring up all those clubs to say, like,
- 28:13Speaker 5: your team's not made up of LA Galaxy and Chicago
- 28:16Speaker 5: Fire anymore, which no disrespect to MLS.
- 28:19Speaker 4: It's a young league. It is what it is.
- 28:21Speaker 3: It's got some good players in it.
- 28:23Speaker 5: But I mean, Messi plays in the MLS, all right,
- 28:26Speaker 5: Messi's doing pretty good in this World Cup. But I
- 28:29Speaker 5: do think it's in a better spot because you have
- 28:31Speaker 5: your your starting eleven is playing in the top leagues
- 28:34Speaker 5: in England, Germany, France, Netherlands.
- 28:40Speaker 3: So I mean that part of it.
- 28:42Speaker 5: Yes, is it a giant leap from where you know
- 28:47Speaker 5: where it was ten, twelve, fourteen.
- 28:50Speaker 4: No, yep, it's not.
- 28:53Speaker 7: Unfortunately, it is a foundation better, like how they're approaching
- 28:56Speaker 7: the game a little bit, not not a lot. Honestly,
- 29:01Speaker 7: it just takes it didn't even have to be foundationally
- 29:05Speaker 7: be that much better. It just takes a couple of
- 29:08Speaker 7: like badass own braids like that are that are young, yeah,
- 29:11Speaker 7: and hunger and they're just like, really, it takes some stars.
- 29:15Speaker 4: You got your volume up on the Twitter fronts over there.
- 29:20Speaker 4: That's that's intentional. People need to know. I think it's
- 29:24Speaker 4: on purpose to your point.
- 29:28Speaker 5: And Baligan did look like he belonged to the field,
- 29:30Speaker 5: like he was like even if even if you didn't
- 29:33Speaker 5: notice it, like the runs he was making in different
- 29:35Speaker 5: channels to try to get the ball like it was
- 29:37Speaker 5: really strong.
- 29:38Speaker 7: They just could even to him even like trying to
- 29:40Speaker 7: make runs and the guys just didn't see him, Yeah,
- 29:44Speaker 7: to pass the ball to him like he's he's sitting
- 29:46Speaker 7: there streaking, hoping and then they didn't pass it.
- 29:49Speaker 5: It's like, so he's twenty five years old, he'll be
- 29:51Speaker 5: back next World Cup.
- 29:52Speaker 4: He'll be twenty nine, Okay, what about ten more.
- 29:56Speaker 5: Like somebody like That's and Tillman and like those that's
- 30:01Speaker 5: gonna be your stars the next World Cup. And you
- 30:04Speaker 5: just hope that their DNA, their presence on the field
- 30:07Speaker 5: is better than what the stars were supposed to be
- 30:08Speaker 5: in this World Cup. And that's that's it's harsh, but
- 30:11Speaker 5: it's just facts. I mean, the guys who are supposed
- 30:15Speaker 5: to be your stars didn't have.
- 30:17Speaker 4: A good tournament.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Let's act like son, act like yesterday.
- 30:20Speaker 5: Was the only the only game that Christian Polisic didn't
- 30:23Speaker 5: show up. I know he had an injury, but name
- 30:26Speaker 5: a moment for him this World Cup set out that
- 30:31Speaker 5: one game exactly. So like that's another thing that you
- 30:36Speaker 5: have to like, look at what Holland's doing for Nory
- 30:40Speaker 5: and look, I know the level of player he is
- 30:42Speaker 5: I mean, he's world class compared but I'm just saying.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Nory didn't have the strongest side. But you know what
- 30:48Speaker 3: they have. They have got a badass leader up in
- 30:52Speaker 3: the front.
- 30:52Speaker 5: It literally looks like a Viking that is going to
- 30:57Speaker 5: raise his level of play in a World Cup, so
- 31:00Speaker 5: the highest level that it can go.
- 31:02Speaker 3: And he's gonna for three weeks, four weeks, however long.
- 31:05Speaker 4: He's gonna do.
- 31:06Speaker 5: Everything he can to put all the other ten on
- 31:09Speaker 5: his back. Now, they got some good players to play
- 31:11Speaker 5: for Arsenal and other you know, major clubs, but like,
- 31:15Speaker 5: he's the guy.
- 31:16Speaker 3: That's what I want for you, Like I want that guy.
- 31:19Speaker 5: And look Donovan and Dempsey studs and they tried to
- 31:23Speaker 5: do it. But even more than that, like another level
- 31:28Speaker 5: of class, and again those guys are incredible, Like one
- 31:33Speaker 5: more level of class is.
- 31:34Speaker 7: What you Well, I heard it before the World Cup
- 31:36Speaker 7: started talking about how it's gonna be really hard for you, say,
- 31:40Speaker 7: to make a run because not one player on their
- 31:42Speaker 7: roster was a top one hundred player in the world.
- 31:44Speaker 7: And I guess they rank them that way, they don't know.
- 31:46Speaker 5: I mean, they included two US players in that. But
- 31:51Speaker 5: there was even debate about that. Yeah, yeah, so.
- 31:54Speaker 7: And you could tell it like the ball. Look now,
- 31:56Speaker 7: it got stuck on their foot every time they got
- 31:58Speaker 7: the ball.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Two thousand and seven Champs Purple and Gold to the core.
- 32:18Speaker 1: This is off the bench with Hester and Flynn Baton
- 32:22Speaker 1: Rougees go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 32:38Speaker 5: All right, welcome back in ot B you know, Tuesday
- 32:42Speaker 5: shows brought to our friends at community still community, still
- 32:45Speaker 5: co dot com in Gonzas, Louisiana, but they service the
- 32:48Speaker 5: entire area community still co dot com.
- 32:52Speaker 3: All right, what's left in the World Cup?
- 32:55Speaker 5: As we uh you know here in the first hour
- 32:57Speaker 5: obviously all of us watched it last night, Still mad, bitter,
- 33:02Speaker 5: pissed off the result.
- 33:05Speaker 7: No more home field advantage anymore for anybody now the
- 33:08Speaker 7: North American.
- 33:09Speaker 5: Yeah, some boy Danny, Danny Cardinals was trying to throws
- 33:12Speaker 5: shade at me in Tibab last night like Danny, Mexico
- 33:16Speaker 5: went home the same route. Yeah, but it was a
- 33:17Speaker 5: close game, I said, for shoe and hangger nads but
- 33:20Speaker 5: many and you also lost a ten englishman yep for
- 33:24Speaker 5: bulk of the game.
- 33:25Speaker 7: Yeah, which does think because the Mexico City game and
- 33:30Speaker 7: this last night those those places were rockets. Unfortunately, I'm
- 33:35Speaker 7: assuming Canada had a weak crowd.
- 33:36Speaker 5: But they played in the US, but they still would
- 33:39Speaker 5: have had a week chan and baby cakes. So what's
- 33:42Speaker 5: left in the tournament? On July the ninth, it is
- 33:45Speaker 5: France and Morocco. France Morocco would be I believe a
- 33:50Speaker 5: three pm game on July the ninth. On the tenth
- 33:52Speaker 5: it is Spain versus Belgium. On the eleventh it is
- 33:55Speaker 5: Norway versus England. That's gonna be awesome. And then you
- 33:58Speaker 5: still have a game today. It's gonna be Argentina Egypt.
- 34:01Speaker 5: Winner of that plays the winner of Switzerland and Colombia.
- 34:05Speaker 5: And that's what the rest of the tournament looks.
- 34:07Speaker 4: When does Switzerland Columbia play?
- 34:08Speaker 3: They played today, There we go, we got seven.
- 34:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I got some background noise in the.
- 34:13Speaker 5: Office, Argentina Egypt at eleven am, and then Switzerland Columbia
- 34:17Speaker 5: at three pm. So you can watch Argentina Egypt in
- 34:22Speaker 5: the office at eleven absolutely and I will.
- 34:28Speaker 4: I did have it on yesterday. I forget.
- 34:30Speaker 5: I think I guess it would have been the Spain
- 34:33Speaker 5: Portugal because I'm on air on the NFL channel. Uh,
- 34:38Speaker 5: you know, like you're talking whatever. I think it hit
- 34:40Speaker 5: one of those ooh impact goes who scored you knew.
- 34:44Speaker 5: I was watching the game and we were all there.
- 34:46Speaker 5: I was like, oh man, I was like, I see
- 34:48Speaker 5: you into Ronaldo.
- 34:50Speaker 4: That's it, Spaine wins.
- 34:51Speaker 5: Ronaldo no longer going to play for the national team.
- 34:54Speaker 5: Last time we'll see him for Portugal, which is crazy.
- 34:58Speaker 5: I mean, think about how long, like two decades, two
- 35:02Speaker 5: decades you've seen him.
- 35:03Speaker 4: Play for Portugal. You know what, six World Cups. Yeah,
- 35:07Speaker 4: that's two decades. That over two decades. It's over two decades.
- 35:12Speaker 4: I'm just saying, it's not it's not quite. It's a
- 35:15Speaker 4: long time.
- 35:16Speaker 7: And yeah, you're seeing the end.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Of a couple eras. Yeah, and it's gonna be.
- 35:22Speaker 7: I even recognized the dude from Croatia. I recognized them magic. Yeah,
- 35:25Speaker 7: they a card. No, because from the last World Cup,
- 35:30Speaker 7: you know, just lasts last World Cup.
- 35:33Speaker 3: Messi's Ronaldo a big generation.
- 35:37Speaker 5: Last time we'll get a chance to see them on
- 35:39Speaker 5: this stage. I mean, I guess it's Messi's I mean,
- 35:43Speaker 5: I don't know if I want to count him out.
- 35:44Speaker 7: Actually he looks still looks pretty good, like like that
- 35:48Speaker 7: seven goals, like even Ronaldo, like the other you know,
- 35:51Speaker 7: older older guys out there, they do a lot of
- 35:54Speaker 7: walking around getting ready and and I get you got
- 35:57Speaker 7: to pace yourself throughout the game because you along gotta
- 36:00Speaker 7: run a long way, but you but you could tell
- 36:03Speaker 7: like they're conserving a lot of energy and they can't
- 36:05Speaker 7: hit that go butt as much. Yeah, Messi's not really
- 36:08Speaker 7: doing that. He's running a lot and even more than
- 36:11Speaker 7: maybe he normally does. He still got the speed. So
- 36:15Speaker 7: we'll see. Four years is a long time we do.
- 36:18Speaker 7: We need to figure out how to move this up
- 36:20Speaker 7: to two years. I know you said Europe was against it.
- 36:26Speaker 7: Europe's against everything. Europe sucks. I mean they're against ice makers,
- 36:31Speaker 7: automatic transmissions, like the technology is there. Just grow up,
- 36:36Speaker 7: let's have this thing every two years. We'll still without Europe,
- 36:40Speaker 7: specifically Belgium.
- 36:42Speaker 6: Real quick, do y'all's papers. Ain't no live right here? Yes, yeah,
- 36:46Speaker 6: there is a live at Russell Pools.
- 36:47Speaker 4: I don't know what to screwed that up. Somebody did
- 36:52Speaker 4: here one day one time. I give you all this
- 36:55Speaker 4: credit for us being the OG crowd And.
- 36:59Speaker 7: Come on, all right, well doesn't want doesn't want to
- 37:02Speaker 7: talk about Canniball season.
- 37:04Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, I think everything that we picked, Yeah
- 37:10Speaker 4: it is. Are we all out? We're all out. We'll
- 37:13Speaker 4: tell you who it was.
- 37:15Speaker 5: One more segment and then we'll wrap up the World
- 37:17Speaker 5: Cup talk for today.
- 37:18Speaker 3: We'll dive into L s U in Saints.
- 37:19Speaker 2: I know.
- 37:20Speaker 4: It's just it's the World Up Tour de.
- 37:22Speaker 1: France locked in on L s U Football twenty four
- 37:37Speaker 1: to seven you're listening to off the bench.
- 37:58Speaker 5: All right, welcome back again here on this Tuesday morning,
- 38:04Speaker 5: Tuesday Tuesday, the best day of the week. Uh So,
- 38:07Speaker 5: to finish up our World Cup discussion for today and yeah,
- 38:12Speaker 5: in a full hour. But the US men's national team
- 38:15Speaker 5: is no longer, so obviously some of this conversation is
- 38:18Speaker 5: going to die down.
- 38:19Speaker 4: And I hate it, but I know what it is
- 38:21Speaker 4: and I get it. Hey, we'll always have four years
- 38:23Speaker 4: from now. Thanks, we'll bring it back that mindo soccer.
- 38:27Speaker 5: You went Netherlands, they're out. I went Germany, they're out.
- 38:30Speaker 5: You went Croatia, Tata, they're out. Alandra and Mexico they're out.
- 38:35Speaker 5: We didn't even make it to the quarter finals.
- 38:37Speaker 6: Think we're matt What are we worse at US Open
- 38:42Speaker 6: picks or World Cup.
- 38:43Speaker 4: Picks, I would say, I think only one of us
- 38:49Speaker 4: made the cut. No, we both did.
- 38:51Speaker 6: But your guy was plus fourteen milos plus eight by
- 38:53Speaker 6: the way, freaking Chris got her up.
- 38:55Speaker 4: Yeah he won the tournament? Oh all right? Who won
- 38:59Speaker 4: the Travelers another one this weekend? What was this weekend?
- 39:02Speaker 4: So that was the We're not don't pick him? He
- 39:06Speaker 4: does well?
- 39:07Speaker 5: Sure, all right, so let's reassess. Yeah, France, Morocco, Spain, Belgium, Norway, England,
- 39:20Speaker 5: and of course you said Argentina, Egypt, Switzerland, Columbia. New
- 39:25Speaker 5: team is gonna win.
- 39:25Speaker 4: The World Cup.
- 39:27Speaker 7: I'm gonna go with probably the single greatest team to
- 39:30Speaker 7: ever be as symbol.
- 39:31Speaker 4: Belgium.
- 39:33Speaker 7: Okay, best thing I've ever seen, Spain, Okay, I want
- 39:40Speaker 7: I'm gonna cheer. I want to cheer for Norway. Cheer
- 39:43Speaker 7: for Norway because the Viking row.
- 39:45Speaker 5: Uh, France, Morocco is gonna be awesome.
- 39:50Speaker 4: I'm gonna go Argentina to run it back. Not gonna happen.
- 39:56Speaker 4: You saw it?
- 39:58Speaker 3: How awesome would it be a Norway won that?
- 40:00Speaker 4: Though? It would be cool.
- 40:02Speaker 5: Norway winning it would be like a seventh seed winning
- 40:05Speaker 5: the NCAA tournament in basketball.
- 40:08Speaker 4: A seventh seed.
- 40:09Speaker 7: Yeah, it'd be like Indiana winning the football national championship.
- 40:14Speaker 7: Because Erlin Holland has scored as many goals as Norway
- 40:18Speaker 7: has ever scored in the World Cup before this one combined.
- 40:24Speaker 4: Is that that big? Is that good? Is good?
- 40:26Speaker 7: They've scored seven goals ever in the World Cup and
- 40:28Speaker 7: he scored seven Norway.
- 40:30Speaker 5: Norway's thirty first in FIFA rankings in the world. To
- 40:33Speaker 5: kind of give you an idea, the US typically hovers
- 40:36Speaker 5: between fourteen and seventeen. So for Norway to be where
- 40:43Speaker 5: they're at thirty first, you're you're probably right. It's probably
- 40:45Speaker 5: like an Indiana football situation. And I'm just saying where
- 40:49Speaker 5: they've been in like the history. Yeah, they have a
- 40:53Speaker 5: generational player, which you know, Indiana thinks that, you know,
- 40:56Speaker 5: we'll see if Mendoz is bad, but sure looked like
- 40:59Speaker 5: it this year for Indiana.
- 41:01Speaker 4: So they're good. Good comt they're good at you go
- 41:05Speaker 4: make you like soccer whether you like it or not.
