  Commercials weren't the greatest. Let's be real. There was a couple of good

  ones, but you know, they're never going to be as good as when we were younger

  I mean, we grew up, we were spoiled. We grew up with the Bud Bowl.

  I mean, there's just so much stuff that is missing from the days where the commercials

  at one point were better than the football games.

  People actually cared to watch the Super Bowl mainly because of the commercials. But that's okay.

  Why are we here at Have Faith Let It Begin? Because we get to come together

  each and every morning to unite as one, to become one body as we make the body of Christ.

  And we do it because of the love and compassion and the desire to seek the Lord.

  This morning, you know, we can watch Super Bowls.

  We can watch the touchdowns. We can watch, you know, the winners and the losers.

  But you want to know something?

  Here at Have Faith, Let It Begin, there are no losers. You're all winners.

  Every single day that you wake up, God is with you. God protects you.

  And God is never going to leave your side.

  Well, you know, what I wanted to talk to you today is quite simple.

  As our families get older, our parents get older, we need to come together and take care of them.

  We need to make sure that there are our number one priorities of the ones that

  raised us are the people that we take care of.

  Quite often, I see many elderly sitting back and not having that luxury or that
• 4:26
  ability to reach out to somebody when they're in need.

  If you're a person that knows someone like that, I encourage you to call them, pray for them.

  And do all that you can to try and let them know that you are there for them.

  We have to remember that when we were growing up, yes, at times we would look at the older people.

  And our generation always was taught to respect your elders and to honor your
• 4:52
  loved ones and to respect your parents.

  And we're now in an era where that doesn't exist anymore.

  We have to keep that tradition alive. We have to keep that hope alive for the elderly,

  for those that are retiring from their workforce, their work jobs,
• 5:10
  also those that are retiring from the military. We cannot forget our veterans.

  And it's a very, very vague, I don't want to say vague, it's a very,
• 5:21
  very open book episode today, right?

  I mean, it's about everything, but strictly about those that we take care of.

  If you're a person that has a business and you see somebody come in and you

  know that they're elderly, maybe give them a discount.

  Maybe let them know that, you know, they can always come in and say hi.

  You know, people always joke about calling somebody and, oh,

  I reached out to that person last week and it doesn't have to be once a month.

  It doesn't have to be, you know, all the, you know, once every two months.

  Why can't you just call them twice a week?

  Just let them know, hey, I'm here for you.

  All the times that we spend doing things that mean nothing, whether that's just

  being on our social media accounts,

  all those efforts that we put into watching a TV show can be spent in a matter

  of minutes taking a few minutes of our time to reach out to somebody,

  let them know that we care, and also reaching out to our Heavenly Father in prayer.

  And with that being said, let us come together and pray.

  I had a picture come into my mind and in my heart about somebody that I care

  about very deeply. And he was an extra neighbor. His name is George.
