Latest / Money And Wealth With John Hope Bryant / Money & Wealth: Rebuilding the World with AI
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome the Money and Wealth with John O'Bryant, a production
- 0:03Speaker 1: of the Black Effect podcast Network and iHeartRadio. Hey, Hey
- 0:15Speaker 1: is John Hope Bryant. And this is Money and Wealth
- 0:18Speaker 1: and an exciting episode. I am talking about artificial intelligence
- 0:22Speaker 1: once again, one of my very important focus areas for
- 0:28Speaker 1: twenty twenty five and twenty twenty six, when there's a
- 0:31Speaker 1: whole series, So buckle up. So I'm in my office
- 0:36Speaker 1: downtown Atlanta, the offices for the Global Corporation. It was
- 0:46Speaker 1: a time where everything happened here. It didn't happen at all.
- 0:51Speaker 1: If you weren't sitting behind one of these computers, if
- 0:54Speaker 1: you were not sitting in one of these cubicles, if
- 0:55Speaker 1: you're not in an office mailite meeting, then nothing mattered.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Didn't it didn't record, it didn't happen. You needed the infrastructure,
- 1:03Speaker 1: you needed this system. And before this, there was another system.
- 1:09Speaker 1: And now we're about to experience a whole new way
- 1:14Speaker 1: of life through AI, and it doesn't require you to
- 1:19Speaker 1: sit in this office building. Now we gather here for
- 1:22Speaker 1: a different reason. It's building culture. I think culture is cool.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I like making smart sexy, as you know, one of
- 1:30Speaker 1: my phrases and I think that by getting people together
- 1:34Speaker 1: and gathering it matters. But for you to benefit from
- 1:40Speaker 1: the power of artificial intelligence, you don't necessarily need all
- 1:44Speaker 1: this infrastructure that I have and that we've paid millions
- 1:48Speaker 1: of dollars for. You can do this right from where
- 1:53Speaker 1: you sit. I don't want you to be afraid of AI.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I don't want you to be pushing away from the
- 2:01Speaker 1: table because you're afraid that artificial intelligence is going to
- 2:06Speaker 1: take your job. I'm thinking about people who occupy the
- 2:12Speaker 1: seats of my company. I've told them, and I'm telling
- 2:16Speaker 1: you what I told them. Your job's not going to
- 2:20Speaker 1: be replaced by AI. Your job is going to be
- 2:24Speaker 1: replaced by someone who can use AI, and I hope
- 2:28Speaker 1: it's you as in them. But one thing that is
- 2:32Speaker 1: absolutely the case. Everybody's got to become comfortable with artificial
- 2:36Speaker 1: intelligence very quickly. This is not optional. It's not the
- 2:41Speaker 1: cassette tape, this is not the DVD. This is not
- 2:44Speaker 1: a movement to digital music or something. This is not
- 2:47Speaker 1: even the Internet, which was quite powerful. You had an
- 2:50Speaker 1: option whether you wanted to use it or not. This
- 2:52Speaker 1: is not that there are no options. This is the
- 3:00Speaker 1: new world, and I want to teach you. I want
- 3:03Speaker 1: to inspire you to participate in it. So let me explain.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Explain first where we came from, so that you understand
- 3:12Speaker 1: how powerful this moment is and what it compares to.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I've told you it doesn't compare to, you know, any
- 3:19Speaker 1: other sort of transformations in American society. So let's we
- 3:24Speaker 1: have to go back one hundred years. We have to
- 3:30Speaker 1: come back one hundred and twenty five years, We have
- 3:34Speaker 1: to go back almost two hundred years to give you
- 3:39Speaker 1: a snapshot of with this moment looks like. Think about
- 3:43Speaker 1: eighteen fifty the horse and buggy. Think about eighteen sixty,
- 3:48Speaker 1: eighteen seventy, eighteen eighty, eighteen ninety, nineteen hundred. Those periods
- 3:55Speaker 1: were defined by the horse and buggy. It was divined
- 3:59Speaker 1: by the horse. The horse was machinery. The horse was luxury.
- 4:05Speaker 1: The horse was wealth. The horse was transportation. The horse
- 4:11Speaker 1: was flossing. Think about the Mercedes of this day. That
- 4:16Speaker 1: was your horse. Think about your Louis Veuton, whatever it
- 4:22Speaker 1: is that you think is flossing, that was a horse.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Whatever you believe is wealth, that was horse. However, you
- 4:29Speaker 1: brought in your crops, that was led by the horse.
- 4:33Speaker 1: In fact, one out of ten jobs in eighteen seventy ish.
- 4:37Speaker 1: One of our ten jobs was a fairire. A fairire
- 4:44Speaker 1: is somebody who changes horseshoes. And my guess is a
- 4:51Speaker 1: number of other jobs were tied to folks tied to
- 4:55Speaker 1: the fairire. So the folks who gave the metal for
- 4:59Speaker 1: the ho shoes or the iron, the folks who gave
- 5:03Speaker 1: the staples or the mini nails, the tax the horse
- 5:11Speaker 1: shoe hammer, all of the pieces, the medicines of case.
- 5:17Speaker 1: There was an infection. A lot of industries ground up
- 5:21Speaker 1: around a failure. This was everything. We got the word
- 5:28Speaker 1: phrase horsepower from the horse being the center of our universe.
- 5:35Speaker 1: But by nineteen oh one you had a surge of
- 5:38Speaker 1: automobile companies, this new invention that showed up. But by
- 5:41Speaker 1: nineteen ten you had one hundred automobile companies. A lot
- 5:45Speaker 1: of them failed, by the way, but by nineteen ten,
- 5:49Speaker 1: one thing was absolutely sure the most valuable use of
- 5:56Speaker 1: the horse. I'm sorry to hurt the feelings of horse lovers.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I don't mean this intentional. It's not personal. I'm just
- 6:02Speaker 1: telling you what history says. The most valuable thing for
- 6:06Speaker 1: a horse. By nineteen twenty or nineteen ten ish was
- 6:10Speaker 1: glue as in horse glue or horse as glue. The
- 6:15Speaker 1: automobile changed everything. So we're gonna go that took sixty years.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen. We're going to go from the horse
- 6:24Speaker 1: being the center of the universe to the automobile that
- 6:28Speaker 1: was sixty years to labor of human beings with the
- 6:33Speaker 1: beginning of industrialization. We're going to go from being labor
- 6:38Speaker 1: centric to technology centric in six years between twenty twenty
- 6:45Speaker 1: five twenty twenty four. I really believe is when it
- 6:48Speaker 1: started in twenty thirty. By twenty thirty, you won't recognize
- 6:52Speaker 1: the world as we know it today. But don't be afraid, right,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I want you to be empowered. I want you to
- 6:58Speaker 1: embrace this. So I'm here to talk to you today.
- 7:01Speaker 1: If you got limited times and you want your friends
- 7:03Speaker 1: and listen to this episode, I want you to tell
- 7:06Speaker 1: them to start around marker seven, minute seven where John
- 7:11Speaker 1: Bryant gets into this. So the title of this podcast
- 7:16Speaker 1: today is rebuilding the world with ai millionaire opportunities hiding
- 7:22Speaker 1: in plain sight. Get out your pen or pencil, or
- 7:25Speaker 1: your iPad or your iPhone or Android, whatever it is,
- 7:28Speaker 1: you take notes on Le's time It's time to take
- 7:32Speaker 1: the time to write the future of time for yourself.
- 7:38Speaker 1: So start writing your business plan, because if you're not
- 7:40Speaker 1: writing it is not real. What's the difference between a
- 7:44Speaker 1: hustler and a businessman or a businesswoman? Paperwork, details, documentation.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I want you to document this because this just might
- 7:54Speaker 1: be one of the most important conversations in your life,
- 7:58Speaker 1: because it's going to help you to pivot. Let me
- 8:01Speaker 1: tell you what AI is not very quickly. It's not
- 8:03Speaker 1: checking sports results. You can do that on it with
- 8:07Speaker 1: an internet search. This is not a fancy internet search, right,
- 8:12Speaker 1: this is the beginning of everything artificial intelligence. I use
- 8:17Speaker 1: AI as my co creator in my life. That's right.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I use artificial intelligence as a co creator in my life.
- 8:25Speaker 1: So as I'm doing something, I turned the artificial intelligence
- 8:29Speaker 1: to help me make up time, to quicken things, to
- 8:35Speaker 1: cut through the haze. But I know what I want
- 8:38Speaker 1: to get to, I know what I'm trying to solve.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I use this global machine of artificial intelligence to help
- 8:45Speaker 1: me get there. That's just that's my purposes. Now, let
- 8:48Speaker 1: me tell you in a practical way. You I'm talking
- 8:50Speaker 1: to you now, somebody who's not in an office building,
- 8:53Speaker 1: not running a multi million dollar corporation. Not saying you're not.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I'm saying this is the average person. What can you do?
- 8:59Speaker 1: So let me tell you this quick story about a
- 9:02Speaker 1: young man, and I want to give Gary Vee credit
- 9:05Speaker 1: for inspiring me to do this. Is an example a
- 9:09Speaker 1: young man or a young woman who's fourteen or fifteen
- 9:13Speaker 1: years of age and they have mastered artificial intelligence. They
- 9:21Speaker 1: have gotten this down. There are a techno geek, like
- 9:25Speaker 1: I grew up being a techno geek. They're in a
- 9:28Speaker 1: small town or a medium to do outsize city, and
- 9:34Speaker 1: they're gonna start calling around to small businesses and saying,
- 9:39Speaker 1: mister and miss a small business. You have a website
- 9:43Speaker 1: that you paid four thousand and five thousand, maybe twenty
- 9:46Speaker 1: thousand dollars for. Let's just pick a mental range. Five
- 9:49Speaker 1: thousand dollars for that website five years ago, eight years ago.
- 9:53Speaker 1: It's outdated. I can I will with the help of
- 9:57Speaker 1: artificial intelligence and plugging you into e commerce like Shopify,
- 10:03Speaker 1: et cetera. I'm going to redo your whole website and
- 10:06Speaker 1: update it for five hundred dollars, so it costs you
- 10:11Speaker 1: five thousand. I'm wanting to update it for five hundred.
- 10:17Speaker 1: How many takers do you think that young man or
- 10:20Speaker 1: young woman would get on that little idea. I'm gonna
- 10:23Speaker 1: let you think about that for a moment, because if
- 10:26Speaker 1: somebody had called me with that offer, as a hustling
- 10:31Speaker 1: small business owner, who I don't have time to change
- 10:35Speaker 1: my mind. I don't have time to check up check
- 10:37Speaker 1: my website. I don't understand artificial intelligence. I'm trying to
- 10:41Speaker 1: meet payroll, and I'm trying. I got too much month
- 10:44Speaker 1: at the end of my money. I'm hustling from can't
- 10:46Speaker 1: see in the morning, I can't see at night. I
- 10:49Speaker 1: would say yes, sure, particularly if he sounded like he
- 10:52Speaker 1: knew what he was talking about. If that young man,
- 10:55Speaker 1: if that kid using AI two s like chat GBT
- 10:59Speaker 1: my favorite. I'm co chair of the AI Ethics Council
- 11:01Speaker 1: with my friend Sam Aultman are Wix, ai, wix, our Shopify, Magic,
- 11:08Speaker 1: Right are all the other tools? Google and everybody else
- 11:11Speaker 1: has their own tools now right? I would charge five
- 11:16Speaker 1: hundred dollars if I was his kid, and I would
- 11:20Speaker 1: see the business immediately lift and if the kid does
- 11:25Speaker 1: ten of these a month, that's five thousand dollars. Do
- 11:31Speaker 1: it for a year, that's sixty thousand dollars. This is
- 11:34Speaker 1: middle class income. Now add some strategy. You've got a
- 11:39Speaker 1: six figure business at a team, you've got a million
- 11:44Speaker 1: dollar agency. Let me be very specific, because you know,
- 11:49Speaker 1: I like math because it doesn't have an opinion. That's
- 11:51Speaker 1: a melody hopsing quote that I have co opted, and
- 11:54Speaker 1: I give her credit for it. She's a friend. If
- 11:57Speaker 1: you did, if this young man or young woman and
- 12:00Speaker 1: a medium sized city targeted this strategy on dominating this
- 12:06Speaker 1: area of AI upgrading of software and did over the
- 12:12Speaker 1: course of a year two thousand contracts for five hundred
- 12:19Speaker 1: dollars each, which again these are not crazy numbers that small.
- 12:27Speaker 1: That young man or young woman right would be a
- 12:31Speaker 1: millionaire on paper. In other words, they'd have a million
- 12:33Speaker 1: dollar revenue business at two thousand contracts. And that's one
- 12:37Speaker 1: hundred and sixty contracts give or take a month. It's
- 12:42Speaker 1: not unreasonable. One hundred and sixty contracts a month is
- 12:52Speaker 1: about five new contracts, six new contracts a day. Now,
- 12:57Speaker 1: you have to be really assertive to do that as
- 12:59Speaker 1: a person, as an individual, But think if you had
- 13:01Speaker 1: a team of three or four people doing this, three
- 13:03Speaker 1: or four young people with endless, boundless energy, just walking
- 13:07Speaker 1: door to door, knocking on doors, saying can I upgrade
- 13:09Speaker 1: your website? Can outgrade your website? Sign here this new contract,
- 13:13Speaker 1: can upgrade your website. Sign here, We'll schedule you. And
- 13:17Speaker 1: then once you got three or four of these signed up,
- 13:21Speaker 1: then you use that this credibility to go get some
- 13:23Speaker 1: others signed up because you say, look, I've got Joe,
- 13:25Speaker 1: Jack and Schmoe around the corner who've already has signed
- 13:28Speaker 1: a contract with me. You couldn't show the contract privacy ruse,
- 13:33Speaker 1: but you could tell the new client, the new perspective client,
- 13:36Speaker 1: who the other clients were that have signed up to
- 13:38Speaker 1: your business. And now the new ones want to sign
- 13:41Speaker 1: up because you, oh, because the risk is already rung
- 13:43Speaker 1: out of this model, You've gotten other people to take
- 13:45Speaker 1: the risk on you, so they say, yes, I'll do
- 13:48Speaker 1: it too. This is not a very complicated example, is it.
- 13:56Speaker 1: What if I told you that everything around you, literally
- 14:01Speaker 1: everything is about to be rebuilt with artificial intelligence with AI,
- 14:07Speaker 1: and you can be the one to do it now
- 14:10Speaker 1: I just gave you again. That was inspired by Gary V.
- 14:15Speaker 1: But there's so many examples that you can now imagine.
- 14:20Speaker 1: For yourself, and I'm going to help you with some
- 14:23Speaker 1: of those. Listen, now, think about the great AI rebuild.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Every industry, every tool, every process is being completely reimagined
- 14:41Speaker 1: right now. The fear is out front in everybody's mind
- 14:45Speaker 1: is because if you're a corporate leader today racing with
- 14:49Speaker 1: your competitor, these are big companies now to invest in AI. Essentially,
- 14:54Speaker 1: what you're doing is trying to become what they call
- 14:56Speaker 1: it efficient, and there's a guest of it now. Artificial
- 15:00Speaker 1: intelligence will increase businesses efficiency by about thirty percent. That
- 15:07Speaker 1: means in the short term, extraction. It means anything that
- 15:10Speaker 1: can be processed, remove it, repetitive process, remove it, replace
- 15:15Speaker 1: it with automation, robotics, artificial intelligence technology, et cetera. That
- 15:20Speaker 1: means people in the short term. So the fear in
- 15:22Speaker 1: everybody's mind is I'm going to lose my job. And
- 15:25Speaker 1: if you're in customer service or some of these low
- 15:28Speaker 1: level fields, that might be actually the case if you're
- 15:30Speaker 1: making six figures and the business that you're in can
- 15:34Speaker 1: be processed. Then in time, if you're working for somebody else,
- 15:38Speaker 1: that might mean you too. Yes, what did I say
- 15:42Speaker 1: to you earlier? You're not going to lose your job
- 15:46Speaker 1: because of AI. Are too AI, You're going to lose
- 15:49Speaker 1: your job to somebody who can use A I'm want
- 15:54Speaker 1: to teach you now how to use AI so you
- 15:57Speaker 1: can make money and build wealth. The last time something
- 16:11Speaker 1: like this happened to us was during the Industrial Revolution.
- 16:16Speaker 1: That was a focus on machines. Through Internet Revolution, that
- 16:21Speaker 1: was a focus on websites. By the way, I remember
- 16:27Speaker 1: in two thousand when the Internet was a new rage,
- 16:32Speaker 1: all the rage, I remember thinking I was going to
- 16:34Speaker 1: change the name, literally change the legal name of Operation
- 16:38Speaker 1: Hope to Operationhope dot org and Brian grew companies as
- 16:42Speaker 1: it was called back then, Brian grew companies into briangrewcompanies
- 16:45Speaker 1: dot com. That's how manic this was, which you thought,
- 16:50Speaker 1: you have to change everything. It's all going to be
- 16:53Speaker 1: Internet based, and it was a big shift for everybody,
- 16:58Speaker 1: and we all know how or in the Internet is today.
- 17:02Speaker 1: But that was over blown. I'm not sure that the
- 17:07Speaker 1: current hype, if you want to call it that, on
- 17:10Speaker 1: AI is actually over blown. I think it may be
- 17:14Speaker 1: underestimated how much this is going to transform society, because
- 17:19Speaker 1: it truly is another intelligence which in some ways outstrips
- 17:26Speaker 1: for the first time ever a level, not all, but
- 17:30Speaker 1: a level of a portion of human intelligence over time.
- 17:34Speaker 1: We haven't gotten it yet, but one can see the
- 17:36Speaker 1: writing on the wall. By the way, as an entrepreneur,
- 17:40Speaker 1: I do not think AI will take my job right
- 17:42Speaker 1: so as there are talents and tools that human beings
- 17:48Speaker 1: bring to something that I do not think can be replaced.
- 17:51Speaker 1: But anyway, that was the Internet revolution, the mobile app explosion,
- 17:55Speaker 1: that's iPhones, Uber, etc. So these are some examples where
- 18:02Speaker 1: a lot of things changed all at the same time.
- 18:06Speaker 1: AI is bigger than all of these, But unlike those eras,
- 18:11Speaker 1: the barrier to injury is now free or near free.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Please please hear me. You don't need a factory. You
- 18:21Speaker 1: just need to focus. There's your quota for the day.
- 18:25Speaker 1: You don't need a factory. You need a focus and
- 18:28Speaker 1: you need to focus. You know, racism is a big deal.
- 18:33Speaker 1: We talk about it, discrimination, etc. My friend Van Jones,
- 18:38Speaker 1: who's on the AI Ethics Council with me and I
- 18:40Speaker 1: think he's underestimated in his brilliance, particularly this technology area.
- 18:45Speaker 1: He said to me that of black folks, in his estimation,
- 18:50Speaker 1: don't really know a thing about AI. Not their fault.
- 18:54Speaker 1: But then he said, you know, it's also true that
- 18:56Speaker 1: ninety nine percent of white folks don't know a thing
- 18:59Speaker 1: about AI either, So we're all equal opportunity discriminated against.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Here this everything starts at a new baseline. But the
- 19:10Speaker 1: access at the moment is basically free. Bottom up millionaire
- 19:20Speaker 1: AI opportunities, Bottom up AI millionaire opportunities. These are some
- 19:26Speaker 1: opportunities that anyone with hustle and curiosity can act on.
- 19:31Speaker 1: No PhD required. Number one website upgrades for small business.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Just explained that business, walked you through it, even walked
- 19:42Speaker 1: you through a little of the math of how you
- 19:44Speaker 1: can run a million dollar a year business, and basically
- 19:48Speaker 1: you can control your market. Like look at do an
- 19:52Speaker 1: evaluation in your town and your city, and your county
- 19:55Speaker 1: and your community. Do an evaluation of how many small
- 19:59Speaker 1: busines as there are where you live. You don't need
- 20:02Speaker 1: a national platform, you don't need to be an international business.
- 20:05Speaker 1: You can do this in the Caribbean, in a small
- 20:08Speaker 1: community in one of the Caribbean nations. You can do
- 20:12Speaker 1: this in a small town in South Carolina. You can
- 20:15Speaker 1: do this in Alabama. You can do this in the
- 20:18Speaker 1: Mojave Desert in California. You can do this in Buffalo,
- 20:21Speaker 1: New York. You can do this in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You
- 20:25Speaker 1: can do this in the most rural areas of America.
- 20:31Speaker 1: And you can control your marketplace with this one little
- 20:35Speaker 1: business and create a business with an enormous profit margin
- 20:42Speaker 1: on that five hundred dollars. I explained to you earlier,
- 20:45Speaker 1: profit margin in that thing is about ninety percent. I
- 20:49Speaker 1: mean as much as ninety percent. So they bought it
- 20:53Speaker 1: for five thousand or more. The website. You can do
- 20:57Speaker 1: it for five hundred. It may cost you fifty bucks
- 21:03Speaker 1: to do everything you need to do. You want to
- 21:07Speaker 1: hire people whatever and scale up. That maybe a different situation,
- 21:10Speaker 1: but you see what I'm saying. There's just there's a
- 21:13Speaker 1: lot of room there for you to be great wherever
- 21:16Speaker 1: you are and make a living, dignified living in this
- 21:20Speaker 1: new AI era. So in this example, you have AI
- 21:27Speaker 1: powered redesigns, SEO updates, chat, bought installs, right you do,
- 21:35Speaker 1: in my opinion, you plug in some e commerce again,
- 21:38Speaker 1: I love Shopify as an example to that. You also
- 21:41Speaker 1: have Amazon that does it, and so on and so forth. Walmart,
- 21:46Speaker 1: I'm not sure if they have an e commerce platform.
- 21:49Speaker 1: You can lock it log into, but you should look
- 21:52Speaker 1: at what they're doing because they do it as a
- 21:54Speaker 1: best in class organization and maybe take some ideas from them.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Number two Digital marketing revamps use chat, GPT and Canva
- 22:04Speaker 1: AI to create better ads, better emails, social media strategies.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Number three Digital marketing revamps was if you need me
- 22:22Speaker 1: to go into that more. But that's an easy one
- 22:25Speaker 1: for somebody who's running let's say an advertising agency, a
- 22:28Speaker 1: public relations agency, anybody who's who is involved in marketing
- 22:35Speaker 1: and pr. Again, this is not going to replace you.
- 22:38Speaker 1: You've got to augment what you do so you're your
- 22:42Speaker 1: own replacement. You're upgrading your own software so you can
- 22:45Speaker 1: compete in the twenty first century because you want to
- 22:48Speaker 1: be in this example, the example of loves gives. You
- 22:50Speaker 1: want to be Netflix not Blockbuster. Right, Blockbuster could have
- 22:54Speaker 1: bought Netflix for a very small amount of money. They
- 22:57Speaker 1: got arrogant, got obnoxious through their nose up at Netflix
- 23:01Speaker 1: told them to go away. Remember the Blockbuster dates on
- 23:03Speaker 1: every corner every week, and over time, Blockbuster we're out
- 23:08Speaker 1: of business. Netflix surged is one Blockbuster in the world today.
- 23:11Speaker 1: So you want to be blocked. You want to be Netflix,
- 23:12Speaker 1: not blocked Blockbuster. You want to be Amazon Walmart, not
- 23:19Speaker 1: Seers and Robucks or Kmart that we're out of business.
- 23:24Speaker 1: You want to be the iPhone today, not Kodak. So,
- 23:31Speaker 1: if you're running a PR firm, a marketing firm, et cetera,
- 23:36Speaker 1: an ad first, an AD agency, I want you to
- 23:38Speaker 1: think about how you augment what you're doing with artificial
- 23:41Speaker 1: intelligence to take you from good to great and competitive
- 23:45Speaker 1: for the twenty first century. Number three, as I mentioned,
- 23:49Speaker 1: create a local AI concierge service. This is so cool.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Help older businesses and older business owners adapt AI for bookkeeping, scheduling,
- 24:03Speaker 1: customer service, etc. Someone will pay you to do this.
- 24:10Speaker 1: I guarantee you this is the case. This is a
- 24:14Speaker 1: huge opportunity. I'm gonna repeat that creating a local AI
- 24:18Speaker 1: concierge service will help help you help other businesses, older
- 24:25Speaker 1: businesses right to adopt AI for bookkeeping, scheduling, customer service,
- 24:31Speaker 1: and other essential services. Number four, there's a number of
- 24:36Speaker 1: ways you can do that. You do as a consultant.
- 24:37Speaker 1: You can do it as a cost saving analysis. Anyway,
- 24:42Speaker 1: there is a huge, huge opportunity there. Both of America
- 24:46Speaker 1: are small businesses. By the way they call it, the
- 24:48Speaker 1: fortune five hundred because there's only five hundred of them, right,
- 24:52Speaker 1: But there are literally tens of thousands of businesses in America,
- 25:00Speaker 1: and you want to target the portion that's in your
- 25:05Speaker 1: neighborhood or your community. Help them help themselves, and you
- 25:09Speaker 1: do well and do good with good capitalism at the
- 25:11Speaker 1: same time. Number four, start an AI tutoring and literacy
- 25:16Speaker 1: class in your neighborhood, class or classes. Teach others how
- 25:21Speaker 1: to use AI charge twenty to one hundred dollars per
- 25:26Speaker 1: session per person. Again, pull out that calculator, do that math,
- 25:31Speaker 1: not that revenue. This going to be your side hustle.
- 25:34Speaker 1: By the way that you're nine to five financier five
- 25:37Speaker 1: to nine, work somebody's job, get their health care, give them,
- 25:40Speaker 1: give them good service. Rather they don't cheat on the
- 25:43Speaker 1: good job. Deliver. But when you come home, you can
- 25:46Speaker 1: then pursue your dream. And this is something you can
- 25:48Speaker 1: do part time. Teach others how to use AI in
- 25:53Speaker 1: charge twenty to one hundred dollars per session per person.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Number five. AI powered resumes and LinkedIn makeovers help job
- 26:06Speaker 1: seekers become future proofed. Number six write AI powered books
- 26:14Speaker 1: and e courses. Use AI to help others tell their
- 26:18Speaker 1: stories or share their knowledge. Again, you're comfortable with something
- 26:24Speaker 1: other people are not. Don't wait two years to do this.
- 26:27Speaker 1: The market will be flooded. I want you, if you're
- 26:29Speaker 1: going to do any of this, do it right now.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Be in a hurry, be excited about this, and master
- 26:37Speaker 1: it before other people become comfortable with it. Number seven,
- 26:44Speaker 1: reimagine the church bulletin. I just love this one. We
- 26:48Speaker 1: can all relate to it because we all growing up,
- 26:51Speaker 1: most of us went to a church and we knew
- 26:55Speaker 1: how raggedy these church bulletins were. Reimagine the church bulletin,
- 27:01Speaker 1: community newsletter or indoor community newsletter with a I digitize it,
- 27:09Speaker 1: brand it logo for the church, a community group, make
- 27:13Speaker 1: it interactive, sell it as a service. So you're gonna
- 27:18Speaker 1: get them out of the paper business. By the way,
- 27:21Speaker 1: we'll save some trees, stop polluting the earth. Maybe, and
- 27:25Speaker 1: you're gonna get it. Because most people have a phone,
- 27:26Speaker 1: they've got a digital phone. They've got you can put
- 27:30Speaker 1: a you can put a you know, a code on
- 27:34Speaker 1: the phone, I'm sorry on the pamphlet, a QR code
- 27:39Speaker 1: that people can pull from to pull their pamphlet up
- 27:43Speaker 1: at church or their bulletin. There are many ways to
- 27:47Speaker 1: do this, but the point is everybody do these days
- 27:49Speaker 1: has a digital phone in their hand, and so you
- 27:52Speaker 1: don't even need to worry about what they's going to
- 27:54Speaker 1: read it on. They've got something to read it on.
- 27:56Speaker 1: You just need to move folks into the twenty first century.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Launch a micro AI agency for local elected officials or nonprofits.
- 28:08Speaker 1: I'm talking about speeches, strategy, email writing, grant writing, and
- 28:15Speaker 1: you've become the hub for the new intelligence in the
- 28:19Speaker 1: community for folks who want to do the work but
- 28:21Speaker 1: understand the technology. They've confused business with busyness. They want
- 28:26Speaker 1: to go out there and just sell and hustle, but
- 28:28Speaker 1: they need somebody to be that back room business manager
- 28:31Speaker 1: in that new world. That could be you. And you're
- 28:33Speaker 1: not doing it for one business in this example, or
- 28:36Speaker 1: one nonprofit or one elected official. But this example is
- 28:39Speaker 1: elected official or nonprofit. You can have a range of clients. Okay,
- 28:44Speaker 1: number nine, Start to fix my biz mobile AI consulting.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Pop up a physical booth or truck where you offer
- 28:53Speaker 1: quick AI solutions to small business owners you want to
- 28:57Speaker 1: be mobile. Combine this with Uber if you like or
- 29:00Speaker 1: do too. Give people rides and when you're not doing that,
- 29:04Speaker 1: do a pop up with an AI fix my buzz
- 29:07Speaker 1: mobile app business or mobile AI consulting business. A physical
- 29:12Speaker 1: booth or truck where you offer AI solutions to small
- 29:15Speaker 1: businesses and you move around again. People who don't like
- 29:19Speaker 1: being stuck in an office and want to see new things,
- 29:22Speaker 1: new places. Number ten, create an AI based voiceover or
- 29:27Speaker 1: video business. You can use eleven Labs, Pictory that's p
- 29:35Speaker 1: I C T O R Y, or other apps to
- 29:39Speaker 1: offer a fifty dollars explainer video or ads from mom
- 29:44Speaker 1: and pop shops. And there's so many more examples. I
- 29:51Speaker 1: just gave you some that don't require, as I said,
- 29:55Speaker 1: a PhD, don't wait to be hired by the future.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I want you to create it for yourself. Okay, I'm
- 30:12Speaker 1: gonna think I'm looking around my office now, just to
- 30:16Speaker 1: take this to another level, I'm looking at this painting
- 30:20Speaker 1: in front of me of an eagle. That photographer had
- 30:24Speaker 1: to wait for the ego and take spend all day
- 30:28Speaker 1: hunting for the right photo of the eagle, and I
- 30:30Speaker 1: mean the right imagery of the egle, wait for the
- 30:33Speaker 1: son to be in the right place, and he might
- 30:36Speaker 1: have spend all day trying to maybe days hunting for
- 30:38Speaker 1: the right situation. Now you can do this same photo
- 30:45Speaker 1: in minutes with the help of artificial intelligence. But let's
- 30:49Speaker 1: maybe you say no, no, I want to keep the creative
- 30:51Speaker 1: process pure. Okay, that's fine, So let's step away from that.
- 30:55Speaker 1: You still want to go out and photograph, photograph the
- 30:57Speaker 1: ego in your own and frankly, I do believe anything
- 31:00Speaker 1: is better than artificial anything, but the process of making
- 31:06Speaker 1: the art piece itself, the photograph on the metal in
- 31:12Speaker 1: this particular example, the backing, all of the creation of
- 31:16Speaker 1: this art piece on my wall is going to be
- 31:19Speaker 1: reimagined with AI. AI and microphone production, AI and picture
- 31:26Speaker 1: frame production. I'm looking at my desk AI and water
- 31:31Speaker 1: bottle production, AI and office supply creation and production, AI
- 31:39Speaker 1: and furniture production, AI and television production and technology, AI
- 31:47Speaker 1: and award production. AI and picture frames. I mentioned picture
- 31:54Speaker 1: frames already, but I was talking about art. I mean, literally,
- 31:58Speaker 1: everything in my office is going to be reimagined by
- 32:01Speaker 1: somebody who gets obsessed with that thing. AI and sports
- 32:07Speaker 1: AI and baseball within sports, and basketball within sports, AI
- 32:13Speaker 1: and basketballs based balls in sports. Like literally, everything's gonna
- 32:19Speaker 1: get reimagined with the help of artificial intelligence, because AI
- 32:25Speaker 1: will make it better, more efficient, the process, the system,
- 32:28Speaker 1: the way you go about it, and the product that
- 32:31Speaker 1: gets output. On the other side, let me now talk
- 32:36Speaker 1: about why most people will miss this. It will just
- 32:40Speaker 1: miss it. It's fear. The worst thing to fear is
- 32:46Speaker 1: fear itself. Let me remind you that. But it's fear,
- 32:48Speaker 1: it's distraction. I talk about ignoring the noise in your life.
- 32:52Speaker 1: You cannot create magic in noise. It's entitlement. I don't
- 33:00Speaker 1: think this applies to you. You think that somehow the
- 33:03Speaker 1: world's going to work out for you. Know. God helps
- 33:05Speaker 1: those who help themselves. And it is biblical to be poors,
- 33:10Speaker 1: not to not have anything, to be poors, not to
- 33:13Speaker 1: not do anything. And lazy hands make a man poor.
- 33:16Speaker 1: That's proverbs in the Bible. So God helps those who
- 33:20Speaker 1: help themselves. I'm trying to help you. I'm trying to
- 33:23Speaker 1: be an agent here of God to help you to
- 33:28Speaker 1: get moving so you don't get run over when you're
- 33:32Speaker 1: being run out of town. Get in front of the
- 33:34Speaker 1: crowd and make like a parade. Can I get an amen?
- 33:37Speaker 1: It's not even a religious comment, but so somebody, even
- 33:40Speaker 1: though not even the person who doesn't believe in anything
- 33:42Speaker 1: or anyone or God. Please say, man, this is everything
- 33:46Speaker 1: so real. Talking seriously. I don't want you to have
- 33:49Speaker 1: an entitled mentality. That's not good for you. I don't
- 33:52Speaker 1: want you to be distracted. That's not healthy for you.
- 33:54Speaker 1: I don't want you to be fearful. That's not you.
- 33:57Speaker 1: You are great. Worse, is so some mighty just waiting
- 34:00Speaker 1: for someone to give them permission. No one's going to
- 34:05Speaker 1: give you permission. No one's going to sit you down
- 34:09Speaker 1: and walk you through this unless it's one of these people.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Is we've start a business based on one of these
- 34:13Speaker 1: ideas and goes and consults with you in their neighborhood.
- 34:16Speaker 1: But other than that, you're going to have to do
- 34:17Speaker 1: this for yourself, and that if you don't do it now,
- 34:20Speaker 1: I'm telling you, the world's going to walk right past you.
- 34:23Speaker 1: AI doesn't require you to be rich. I'm gonna repeat that.
- 34:27Speaker 1: AI does not require you to be rich. This is
- 34:31Speaker 1: mind blowing because for most other things, you've got to
- 34:34Speaker 1: start with resources, money, connections, contacts. You've got to do something,
- 34:37Speaker 1: you got to start with. You got to have some
- 34:39Speaker 1: starting place. This makes this puts you at the same
- 34:41Speaker 1: basic starting place as a multimillionaire, maybe even a billionaire.
- 34:46Speaker 1: And maybe you're in a better position because you got
- 34:48Speaker 1: hustle and you've got and you're hungry for success, and
- 34:50Speaker 1: maybe they're not. Maybe they're just sitting around chilling. I
- 34:53Speaker 1: tell you something about wealth. First generation makes it, second
- 34:56Speaker 1: generation spins it, third generation loses it. That's historic over
- 35:02Speaker 1: thousands of years. So if you have the hustle of
- 35:04Speaker 1: a first generation entrepreneur, a small business owner or worker,
- 35:08Speaker 1: somebody who's an immigrant or migrant, or somebody with just
- 35:11Speaker 1: you know, bottoms up hustle, and you're willing to work
- 35:14Speaker 1: from can't see in the morning, I can't see at night,
- 35:15Speaker 1: and you're nosy, you're willing to get into this. How
- 35:18Speaker 1: do you not succeed? Is what I'm thinking about. As
- 35:21Speaker 1: my friend Tony Wrestler would say, if you don't quit,
- 35:24Speaker 1: you can't fail. So AI doesn't require you to be rich.
- 35:28Speaker 1: It requires you to be curious and consistent. This is
- 35:32Speaker 1: the new pick and shovel economy. Be the one handing
- 35:38Speaker 1: out the tools. Can I get an amen? I'm gonna
- 35:42Speaker 1: repeat that, this is the new pick and shovel economy.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Be the one handing out the tools. Doctor Dorothy Hyde,
- 35:50Speaker 1: god wrestler Soul, once told me John, I like you
- 35:52Speaker 1: because you're a dreamer with a shovel in your hands.
- 35:55Speaker 1: I want you to be a drummer, a dreamer with
- 35:57Speaker 1: a shovel in your hand. I want you to now
- 36:03Speaker 1: have the right mindset to seize it. Okay, I want
- 36:06Speaker 1: the work. I want you to have the right work
- 36:07Speaker 1: ethic right, and in fact, I need you to have
- 36:10Speaker 1: more work ethic than tech skills. Yes, this is different
- 36:13Speaker 1: from science, technology, engineering, and math STEM. This is different
- 36:19Speaker 1: from coding. This is different from the computer class that
- 36:22Speaker 1: you needed, the coding classes that you took, where it
- 36:25Speaker 1: took years and years and years and you had to
- 36:27Speaker 1: get that right before we could do anything right. No,
- 36:30Speaker 1: you don't need that with AI. I'm sorry you don't. Now.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Computer skills may be better for other things like repairing
- 36:35Speaker 1: the computer, and there's places where coders and people got
- 36:38Speaker 1: these computer skills. They will have a job and a place.
- 36:41Speaker 1: But for this that I'm talking about here, you do
- 36:43Speaker 1: not need to be a tech genius. You need to
- 36:46Speaker 1: have a work ethic that's undeniable, and some tech skills
- 36:52Speaker 1: learn just enough to be dangerous. My friend Tim Burke
- 36:55Speaker 1: would say, be dangerous from the neck up. I agree
- 36:59Speaker 1: with him. In fact, I want you to be dangerous
- 37:02Speaker 1: more than I want you to be famous. YouTube and
- 37:06Speaker 1: chat GPT are your mentors. Focus on adding value to others.
- 37:13Speaker 1: AI is the tool. You are the bridge. I hope
- 37:19Speaker 1: you guys are writing this down. If you don't, rewind
- 37:21Speaker 1: the podcast episode and listen to it with friends, listen
- 37:25Speaker 1: to it with family, share it with those you love,
- 37:27Speaker 1: pull out that pitted paper or that digital inc on
- 37:31Speaker 1: your mobile device, and create a business plan for your
- 37:34Speaker 1: life based on what I'm telling you. Number six, I
- 37:39Speaker 1: want you to have a call to action, the AI challenge.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Challenge your audience that's in front of you, your family members,
- 37:48Speaker 1: your coworkers, your loved ones, whoever your audience is. Maybe
- 37:52Speaker 1: the audience, by the way, is yourself. But challenge that
- 37:57Speaker 1: audience to pick one of these idea. Let's start with
- 38:03Speaker 1: the audience of you. Pick one of these ten ideas
- 38:08Speaker 1: and try it for the next thirty days. Just give
- 38:11Speaker 1: it a shot, and even if you fail, you'll fall forward.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Even if you're not doing that, you end up doing
- 38:16Speaker 1: something else. I guarantee you no different than the advice
- 38:19Speaker 1: I give to people about Operation Hope and the coaching
- 38:22Speaker 1: and counseling we do with Operation Hope, people who have
- 38:25Speaker 1: taken me up on that their lives have been transformed.
- 38:28Speaker 1: If I have never had somebody who said, I did
- 38:30Speaker 1: what you told me to do about credit score, increasing
- 38:32Speaker 1: your credit score or lowering debt, increasing savings, and I
- 38:34Speaker 1: didn't end up a better person, less drama, less stress,
- 38:38Speaker 1: more opportunity, more optionality, I didn't have, I mean more
- 38:42Speaker 1: self esteem. I've never met anybody who did what I
- 38:45Speaker 1: instructed them to do and their lives have not been transformed.
- 38:49Speaker 1: I can stop every day by people who tell me
- 38:51Speaker 1: Operational is transform their lives. There'll be a special announcement
- 38:55Speaker 1: soon coming from Operation Hope where we're going to expand
- 38:58Speaker 1: the work or work of literacy and include AI literacy
- 39:03Speaker 1: with it. Stay tuned for that. In the meantime, check
- 39:06Speaker 1: out the AI Ethics Council that Sam Altman and I
- 39:09Speaker 1: co chair. Check out the AI LP three, our partnership
- 39:12Speaker 1: with Georgia State University and Mayor Andre Dickens and the
- 39:15Speaker 1: Atlanta Public Schools. That's some primer work for the work
- 39:19Speaker 1: to come. But I want you to just fall forward,
- 39:22Speaker 1: don't be afraid, don't let the perfect become the death
- 39:24Speaker 1: of the good. Just step into this world. Invite people
- 39:29Speaker 1: you love to try to try this, and then collaborate
- 39:34Speaker 1: with you in a bit of an informal club. And
- 39:37Speaker 1: I want you to DM each other. I want you
- 39:39Speaker 1: to tag each other on social media with the tagline
- 39:43Speaker 1: write this down AI Rebuild challenge right, And I'm going
- 39:49Speaker 1: to be looking for that over the next weeks and months.
- 39:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna be looking for the AI Rebuild challenge and
- 39:54Speaker 1: the rebuild is you right? But I want you to
- 39:56Speaker 1: infect your friends and those you love with this new mindset,
- 40:01Speaker 1: starting with you. So one year from now, you could
- 40:06Speaker 1: be telling me you made your first one thousand dollars
- 40:10Speaker 1: or your first one million dollars. What you do today
- 40:15Speaker 1: will decide that here's some tools for the trade for you.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Which tools should you use? First of all, and very
- 40:23Speaker 1: much like we do it Operation Hope in the banking
- 40:25Speaker 1: actor area, I don't tell you what to invest in.
- 40:28Speaker 1: I tell you how to invest I don't tell you
- 40:29Speaker 1: what banking products or what bank to use. We give
- 40:31Speaker 1: you options and you choose. I'm not going to tell
- 40:34Speaker 1: you which things or companies to use. But I'm going
- 40:37Speaker 1: to tell you ones that I think are credible, and
- 40:38Speaker 1: then you decide what you want to use. Here's some
- 40:41Speaker 1: quick fire AI tools to start with. My favorite chat Ept, Canva, Magic, Durable,
- 40:54Speaker 1: dot Co that's instant Websites, Durable, dot coeo, Pictory Slash,
- 41:06Speaker 1: Runway Email that's AI Videos, eleven Labs as Voice AI,
- 41:14Speaker 1: Opus Clips short Form Video, Opus Clip Agent, gt, GPT Agent, GPT, Godmode,
- 41:27Speaker 1: dot Space. These are build agents. So for that kid
- 41:31Speaker 1: business I told you about, I give you an example
- 41:34Speaker 1: here of a tool you can use. You tell me
- 41:39Speaker 1: in the comments when you see that this is a
- 41:41Speaker 1: clip on social media, you tell me which one of
- 41:44Speaker 1: these apps you use to start that website upgrading business.
- 41:49Speaker 1: I want you inspired and educated. I want you to
- 41:52Speaker 1: have a PhD and a PhD too right. I want
- 41:56Speaker 1: you to have agency in your life. I want you
- 41:59Speaker 1: to have hustle and belief, and I want you to
- 42:03Speaker 1: understand the free enterprise system and capitalism can work for you.
- 42:09Speaker 1: I want you to understand that the AI is for everyone,
- 42:12Speaker 1: not just for coders and techies. I wanted to give
- 42:16Speaker 1: you today some practical action steps, not just theory. I
- 42:24Speaker 1: hope that you felt empowered by this. I hope that
- 42:26Speaker 1: you feel that there's something in here for you. If
- 42:30Speaker 1: you want more on this topic, let me know and
- 42:33Speaker 1: let me know what you want me to cover, and
- 42:35Speaker 1: I'm happy to do that. I plan on doing this
- 42:38Speaker 1: as a series already have in mind episode two in
- 42:43Speaker 1: this series, but you tell me what you want me
- 42:47Speaker 1: to focus on. And also, I'm bringing back a couple
- 42:49Speaker 1: friends from a very popular AI episode I did with
- 42:53Speaker 1: them because I think that they can add some context
- 42:58Speaker 1: for the larger discussion of how this is going to
- 43:02Speaker 1: change our world by twenty thirty. So they're going to
- 43:06Speaker 1: give you some theory and some strategy and some perspective
- 43:09Speaker 1: when I come back with Van Jones and others for
- 43:12Speaker 1: that conversation, go back and read, read, watch the prior
- 43:16Speaker 1: episode we did. It's in season two this year, and again,
- 43:20Speaker 1: I'm going to give you a regular diet of this
- 43:23Speaker 1: so that I walk you into the future, so that
- 43:25Speaker 1: you're not afraid. I want you to be bold, I
- 43:30Speaker 1: want you to be audacious. I want you to believe
- 43:32Speaker 1: in yourself. I didn't know a thing about AI two
- 43:35Speaker 1: and a half years ago, and now I use it.
- 43:37Speaker 1: I don't know thirty fifty times a day as my
- 43:41Speaker 1: co creator. I have one just to wrap this up.
- 43:44Speaker 1: I have one product I used by plot Plaud, and
- 43:50Speaker 1: I use it to record staff meetings and to record
