- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode of the Almost
- 0:10Speaker 2: in his podcast. Today, I am joined by my friend
- 0:14Speaker 2: Jill Chen. She and I are going to be breaking
- 0:17Speaker 2: down Bachelor Nation headlines. Jill, I love doing headlines with
- 0:21Speaker 2: you because you are in the know with some of
- 0:23Speaker 2: the people of the current cast a little bit more
- 0:28Speaker 2: Jared and I. Yes, and but Ben and I as well.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Ben and me and I want to start out with
- 0:37Speaker 2: your knowledge about one of your friends in a new relationship.
- 0:40Speaker 2: It was a friend that you had one time had
- 0:43Speaker 2: a bit of a flirtation with who Tyler Norris.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I don't think we had a flirtation.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Oh, he was going to come visit you in Newport
- 0:52Speaker 2: and then he like failed to hang out with guys,
- 0:54Speaker 2: and then you guys are and then you were like, no,
- 0:56Speaker 2: never mind.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Also because Jacob Jacob said nope, Jacob and.
- 1:01Speaker 2: You were trying to find a backup date or something.
- 1:03Speaker 3: I'm trying to find a backup like, Yeah, I don't
- 1:05Speaker 3: think it was I don't know if it was a
- 1:08Speaker 3: I don't think it was a flirtation, but it was
- 1:09Speaker 3: just like I do love him, dearly and he has
- 1:13Speaker 3: a good friend currently like to this day, so he
- 1:17Speaker 3: is in the headlines.
- 1:18Speaker 2: He has a new relationship with a girlfriend named Alyssa. Now, listen,
- 1:23Speaker 2: we were just talking you guys in our recap of
- 1:25Speaker 2: The Bachelor in Paradise finale about how like nobody hard
- 1:29Speaker 2: launched on Instagram the night the night of the finale,
- 1:33Speaker 2: and that like, we have these people, we see them
- 1:35Speaker 2: get engaged and then they don't post a picture together
- 1:38Speaker 2: the next day and they're posting other things and it
- 1:40Speaker 2: just seems fishy. But of all people, Tyler did hard
- 1:43Speaker 2: launch this week, So tell us what you know.
- 1:45Speaker 3: So did he hard launch on just his stories or
- 1:48Speaker 3: did he hard launch on the main.
- 1:51Speaker 2: What do you mean versus this story? It was a story.
- 1:57Speaker 2: It was a story he shared a video with and
- 2:02Speaker 2: she's in it and it says every room needs a
- 2:05Speaker 2: Christmas Tree and he and her are slow dancing to
- 2:08Speaker 2: the song Blue Ain't Your Color by Keith Urban and
- 2:11Speaker 2: he kisses her on the cheeks. So it's definitely a
- 2:12Speaker 2: hard launch.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, like for sure, But I does really count
- 2:18Speaker 3: of it's not on the feed, no, and of course
- 2:21Speaker 3: it does count, Like I think it's more of like,
- 2:23Speaker 3: I think it's a medium launch. It's not a harder soft,
- 2:25Speaker 3: it's like a medium you know. I don't know if
- 2:26Speaker 3: he tagged her either, but people, I think know who
- 2:29Speaker 3: she is because they they may have also seen her
- 2:33Speaker 3: in a previous leak earlier. So do you remember were
- 2:39Speaker 3: you aware of the little oop see that happened regarding
- 2:44Speaker 3: an ad that they both were in together.
- 2:47Speaker 2: She was in an ad with him a couple of
- 2:49Speaker 2: weeks ago.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Yes, so okay, so when he.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Was still on the show and like dating Mercedes show.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Yes, So I guess I don't know who what manager
- 2:59Speaker 3: messed up up on that one, but I think she
- 3:01Speaker 3: has maybe a little bit of a social media following.
- 3:04Speaker 3: And this ended up like on redit Reality. Zachary like
- 3:07Speaker 3: picked it up, you know, like all of the channels
- 3:10Speaker 3: were like, oh my god, like this is Tyler Norris,
- 3:12Speaker 3: Like this is him, and this is a girl who
- 3:14Speaker 3: says my boyfriend her act. Yes, but it was like
- 3:19Speaker 3: it was like a creator generated content whatever it was,
- 3:22Speaker 3: like the brand posted it themselves, okay, and so she
- 3:27Speaker 3: made this content. She's like, my boyfriend and I are
- 3:29Speaker 3: trying some new snacks. And the boyfriend was Tyler Norris.
- 3:34Speaker 3: So so everyone was like, what the hell, Like, Tyler,
- 3:38Speaker 3: you're supposed to be dating Mercedes, like you're on the show,
- 3:40Speaker 3: Like this is weird, no way, and it's And turns
- 3:44Speaker 3: out it's the same girl that's in this video.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Super interesting, you're a good detective. You and vassroonation great.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Well, I mean it was just like oh, at first,
- 3:56Speaker 3: it was like, oh, maybe.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Maybe it's just like an acting It's like it's just
- 4:00Speaker 2: the ad.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Maybe it's just an acting thing. It's the same girl.
- 4:03Speaker 3: It's the same girl.
- 4:04Speaker 2: So now we know, yeah, okay, so yeah, there they are.
- 4:10Speaker 3: That is a thing. Yes, and they're cute.
- 4:13Speaker 2: They seem cute yeaheah, they seems happy, he's happy. The
- 4:18Speaker 2: other Bachelor in Paradise Bachelor couple actually that did that
- 4:23Speaker 2: did hard launch is Brydon is Dan and Christina Mandrell,
- 4:29Speaker 2: who we will remember from Zach season as a as
- 4:34Speaker 2: the single mom and she was a little she was
- 4:37Speaker 2: a little kookie. She ended up leaving because Zach was like,
- 4:43Speaker 2: I don't think I could be a stepdad, right, that
- 4:47Speaker 2: was one of the reasons he gave her. Yeah, it
- 4:50Speaker 2: was pretty honest that he was there, or like, yeah,
- 4:55Speaker 2: didn't she also.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Like a breakdown. Didn't she get in some beef with
- 4:58Speaker 3: somebody else?
- 5:00Speaker 2: Yeah, she was just a little bit of a drama queen.
- 5:02Speaker 2: And she was only there for like two or three weeks.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Yeah, she was only Yeah, she was one of those.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Did she the first impression Rose? No, Okay, she just
- 5:10Speaker 2: made a big splash on night one. I remember she
- 5:12Speaker 2: made a big splash.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I know she did. I remember they had some
- 5:15Speaker 3: good time together night one, and then she got a
- 5:19Speaker 3: date she got she met his family.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Oh that's right. Ah, your memory is so good.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure for the family. And then there was liked,
- 5:28Speaker 3: there was some drama after that, like I remember her
- 5:30Speaker 3: saying help me, help me, help me or something by
- 5:32Speaker 3: the pool and Zaxy. Yeah. So there was like some
- 5:36Speaker 3: weird stuff that happened, and it kind of reminded me
- 5:38Speaker 3: of Cassidy from my season, like someone who just goes
- 5:40Speaker 3: like so hard and so fast they burned themselves out
- 5:43Speaker 3: like immediately, like it's just like too much. So her
- 5:48Speaker 3: and Branden are in this relationship. But I'm like, Okay,
- 5:53Speaker 3: why wasn't she just on paradise. She wasn't on paradise.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Was she asked to do Paradise. I don't know.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Oh, but like that just seems kind of like a
- 6:03Speaker 3: no brainer character for Paradise for sure.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I feel like she was definitely must have been asked.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Well.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I think like she's from Nashville. I remember that she's
- 6:15Speaker 2: like Tennessee. He lives in San Diego. I wonder how
- 6:21Speaker 2: they're keeping that up. But they're involving her daughter, you know,
- 6:25Speaker 2: he knows her. And we see a little clip at
- 6:28Speaker 2: the end of The Bachelor in Paradise finale where jokes
- 6:32Speaker 2: Brandon is teaching Christina's daughter how to acsissorize. This is
- 6:36Speaker 2: something that we would have loved a reunion show for us,
- 6:38Speaker 2: that we could hear their story or eat them on
- 6:42Speaker 2: the podcast.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Now, yeah, right exactly. I think that that's like a
- 6:46Speaker 3: funny couple to me. I think they're both like really
- 6:48Speaker 3: kind of out there. I Braiden is like such a
- 6:55Speaker 3: a loose cannon. I feel like I just never know
- 6:57Speaker 3: where he's gonna go. And that really is knowing that
- 7:01Speaker 3: they're in a relationship.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Dude, they must be wild together.
- 7:04Speaker 3: They must be wild. I mean it was really fun,
- 7:06Speaker 3: but that was just like confusing to me as to
- 7:08Speaker 3: why she just was on the show and why we
- 7:10Speaker 3: couldn't have maybe just seen this happen.
- 7:13Speaker 2: I wonder if she was on the show, they would
- 7:14Speaker 2: have actually left together. I know there's so many questions,
- 7:17Speaker 2: but they would have had more hurdles. I'm sure.
- 7:20Speaker 3: I'm sure they were, yes, but it would have been
- 7:21Speaker 3: entertaining for me to watch.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Yeah, Ultimately, let's let's stick with the Bachelor and Paradise stuff.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Bachelor of Paradise is cat defense herself. After we call
- 7:31Speaker 2: a homie hopper, you're a little bit more gen Z
- 7:34Speaker 2: than me. What the heck is a homie hopper?
- 7:36Speaker 3: Like you go from guy to guy?
- 7:38Speaker 2: Okay, well she did kind of go from guy to
- 7:40Speaker 2: guy on the show.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Yes she did, and she did, and there's something wrong
- 7:42Speaker 3: with that, and I think I believe it was was
- 7:45Speaker 3: a TikTok that she was doing. Yeah, so she did
- 7:48Speaker 3: the TikTok and she was like, well, why am I
- 7:51Speaker 3: a homihopper? When a guy does it, he's like exploring
- 7:53Speaker 3: his options or playing the field. You know.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a very good point.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Like I entirely agree with that. There are some guys
- 8:00Speaker 3: who would have a new girl every weekend. It would
- 8:03Speaker 3: be fine, you know, there's a double standard there for sure.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:08Speaker 3: I think that that was just like an easy target
- 8:11Speaker 3: for people to come after her for I think she
- 8:13Speaker 3: was just an easy target at one point, you know,
- 8:15Speaker 3: to kick someone when they're down, and that was one
- 8:17Speaker 3: of the things that maybe stuck.
- 8:20Speaker 2: M Yeah, that was what hurt her. Yeah, okay, let's
- 8:34Speaker 2: get into Golden Bachelor drama. What was your take? This
- 8:38Speaker 2: is your overall take last week with the finale, so.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Ah my god, it was like part of his heartbreaking.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I feel like Gary was really good the whole season
- 8:48Speaker 3: and then he almost kind of fumbled the bag for me.
- 8:52Speaker 2: You know me too.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Oh, Like you're really gonna say I think it's you.
- 8:58Speaker 2: You know you're the one? Yeah, the one?
- 9:02Speaker 4: And I'm like, well no, what, like no wonder she
- 9:06Speaker 4: was so upset like that is and because as as
- 9:11Speaker 4: someone who not has been in that position but has
- 9:13Speaker 4: been on the show and only knows one side, what
- 9:16Speaker 4: you see of the lead is minuscule.
- 9:19Speaker 3: So if they tell you something, you believe it.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah, And I've been saying it all season long.
- 9:26Speaker 2: But he does a lot of stuff that because he's
- 9:28Speaker 2: like adorable, Like Gary's great. I'm not not saying that
- 9:32Speaker 2: he's not, like he totally is, but at seventy one
- 9:37Speaker 2: and being like all like shucks about everything, he's getting
- 9:40Speaker 2: away with stuff that like a thirty one year old
- 9:44Speaker 2: would never get away with. Could you imagine if a
- 9:47Speaker 2: thirty one year old lead said you're the one and
- 9:50Speaker 2: didn't know her at his.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Big age like that is But also it kind of
- 9:55Speaker 3: reminds me, and maybe she'll remind all of us that
- 9:58Speaker 3: men are gonna be the same regardless of what age.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Because he's making a lot of the mistakes that a
- 10:04Speaker 3: lot of bachelors make, saying I love you to multiple people,
- 10:08Speaker 3: you know, the you know, kissing whoever, telling someone this
- 10:12Speaker 3: and doing the other thing. It always happens. And I
- 10:14Speaker 3: feel like maybe he was so in the moment. Maybe
- 10:17Speaker 3: he could blame his age and he forgot you know.
- 10:20Speaker 2: But well no, his whole defense was that in the moment,
- 10:24Speaker 2: I felt that with you, and then it changed and
- 10:26Speaker 2: I felt it for someone else, which is sad, and
- 10:31Speaker 2: I just how did that change so significantly?
- 10:36Speaker 3: So fat? I don't know, Like it's like when you
- 10:38Speaker 3: have something in front of you, you're like, oh my god,
- 10:40Speaker 3: this is the best, Like I understand being in that position,
- 10:44Speaker 3: and then also thinking okay, well maybe the grass is greener,
- 10:47Speaker 3: but when you're dealing with someone's emotions, you're dealing with
- 10:51Speaker 3: someone's heart, come on, you have.
- 10:53Speaker 2: To feel quiet. Just be a little bit just I know,
- 10:58Speaker 2: I know that. Leslie was like, I rather you said
- 11:00Speaker 2: I love you. I'm glad you said I love you,
- 11:02Speaker 2: but like there's you can say I love you, which
- 11:04Speaker 2: I actually like was like, okay, that's fine, and so
- 11:07Speaker 2: many have done that before, but the telling the person
- 11:10Speaker 2: that you're the one that was actually a step above.
- 11:14Speaker 3: That was my biggest like, oh my gosh, that's really yeah,
- 11:17Speaker 3: that's a sin in Bachelor Nation.
- 11:20Speaker 2: And that's something we saw. She even said, like in
- 11:23Speaker 2: the fantasy suite, we said things that I won't even
- 11:25Speaker 2: say because like that was intended to be private, but
- 11:29Speaker 2: I bet you got even more intense.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Oh I bet it did. Of course, I bet they
- 11:32Speaker 3: were planning, you know, where they're going to live. They're
- 11:35Speaker 3: probably planning all this stuff, like for sure, I you know,
- 11:41Speaker 3: so obviously she was the first fantasy suite. And then
- 11:43Speaker 3: because sometimes they mix up the order, and then right Teresa.
- 11:49Speaker 2: No, no, no, we know that she was the first
- 11:51Speaker 2: fantasy suite because remember Teresa was like, I can tell
- 11:54Speaker 2: that he's thinking about her from last night, so that
- 11:56Speaker 2: was actually her hometowns weren't an order. We learned from
- 11:59Speaker 2: the ladies when we were interviewing with the Bachelor Mansion
- 12:01Speaker 2: that those were in order. But that does bring us
- 12:03Speaker 2: to our first headline with Golden Bachelor, and it says
- 12:09Speaker 2: Leslie claims that Gary made plans with me for the future.
- 12:13Speaker 2: He made plans with me for the future, kind of
- 12:16Speaker 2: like save the date, kind of like what we're gonna do.
- 12:20Speaker 2: I can't wait for us two more days, will be
- 12:23Speaker 2: done with this, be together, start our lives. Did he
- 12:27Speaker 2: say will you marry me? In there? No? But he
- 12:33Speaker 2: all but said that. I mean I would have been
- 12:36Speaker 2: very happy with Jess, I love you, but he took
- 12:39Speaker 2: it to a whole other level.
- 12:42Speaker 3: That's heartbreaking.
- 12:44Speaker 2: You're making plans with what.
- 12:47Speaker 3: You can't do that, especially when you have when you
- 12:50Speaker 3: know you have another fantasy suite. No way you should
- 12:54Speaker 3: you be doing that, Like he knows that he could
- 12:58Speaker 3: potentially feel this way about Theresa. And if you, if
- 13:01Speaker 3: you're so sure on Leslie, then get to Resa out here.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Since there is a home, right you think that perhaps
- 13:08Speaker 2: this was like a mistake made because he never went
- 13:13Speaker 2: through the main show. Yeahause normally we have somebody who
- 13:17Speaker 2: kind of goes through training and knows how it feels
- 13:19Speaker 2: like to be on the other side.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Yes, and I've said this time and time again that
- 13:25Speaker 3: maybe not maybe not publicly, but I do feel like
- 13:28Speaker 3: to be a lead, you have to go to fantasy suites.
- 13:31Speaker 3: You have to get there and know what it feels
- 13:32Speaker 3: like before you can be a lead. Because I can
- 13:36Speaker 3: get with that, like there are or at least take
- 13:40Speaker 3: like really copious notes because you knowing that you have
- 13:44Speaker 3: another fantasy suite lined up, and making all these promises
- 13:47Speaker 3: and then going through with that fan like that second
- 13:49Speaker 3: fantasy suite knowing full well what you said to Leslie
- 13:54Speaker 3: is wild. Like that broke my heart for Leslie, maybe
- 13:59Speaker 3: like Carrie you dog, like you dirty dog.
- 14:05Speaker 2: I know I need to know how his relationship with
- 14:09Speaker 2: has been with Teresa.
- 14:10Speaker 3: This week, I feel.
- 14:14Speaker 2: The craziest week for their relationship, like way to put
- 14:17Speaker 2: it to the test, because not only does she see
- 14:20Speaker 2: the episode see that he had such strong feelings the
- 14:25Speaker 2: past couple of weeks, you know, she saw the fantasy
- 14:28Speaker 2: suite with Leslie and knew that she had he had
- 14:31Speaker 2: such strong feelings for first and then he said all
- 14:33Speaker 2: this stuff. Yeah, and then it comes out that like
- 14:37Speaker 2: there's all those claims about miscellaneous things about how fast
- 14:43Speaker 2: he jumped into a relationship and you know how he
- 14:47Speaker 2: had a relationship, which is really probably the big thing.
- 14:51Speaker 2: And it may not necessarily be Gary's issue. It could
- 14:55Speaker 2: be the show wanting us to believe that I agree
- 14:59Speaker 2: he that he like went from his wife and now
- 15:02Speaker 2: he's finding another great love and then like he didn't
- 15:04Speaker 2: date anywhere in between, so like giving him the benefit
- 15:08Speaker 2: of the doubt, where it was like maybe he was
- 15:10Speaker 2: in the interview room being like, oh I dated then
- 15:13Speaker 2: and this happened with her, and then they're like, okay,
- 15:16Speaker 2: but let's focus on Tony. You know I could hear
- 15:18Speaker 2: that happening.
- 15:19Speaker 3: I could too. And there was also some like random
- 15:22Speaker 3: allegations of like, hey, didn't own a restaurant. It's like
- 15:26Speaker 3: I don't care what he did in the eighties to
- 15:27Speaker 3: my honest, like.
- 15:31Speaker 2: It's our next headline. Shall we talk about it?
- 15:34Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 15:35Speaker 2: Okay. So he's responded to allegations that he misrepresented his
- 15:39Speaker 2: career before going on the Bachelor. Listen The Bachelor. The
- 15:43Speaker 2: franchise loves to misrepresent people's careers everybody, so it's not
- 15:49Speaker 2: like this is just him. You know, we have fake
- 15:52Speaker 2: there's fake professions underneath our names all the time. So
- 15:57Speaker 2: it says that when Turner seventy two was as the
- 16:00Speaker 2: inaugural Bachelor Golden Bachelor, his career was listed as retired.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Prior he claimed to have worked as a restaurant tour
- 16:08Speaker 2: and owned multiple eateies. The business I owned was very
- 16:13Speaker 2: much like Cadillac, was very much like the Cadillac diner
- 16:17Speaker 2: that Teresa and I went on our first date to.
- 16:20Speaker 2: This is what he said to Katie Curic in an
- 16:22Speaker 2: interview that was published last week, referencing they're one on one,
- 16:25Speaker 2: he goes, I sold burgers and fries and shakes, and
- 16:28Speaker 2: it was very profitable business. He continued to say that
- 16:31Speaker 2: the comments about what I did later in life, that
- 16:34Speaker 2: was like he was doing like handyman work and stuff.
- 16:37Speaker 2: I did those after I retired. I retired at fifty five,
- 16:40Speaker 2: and I was very happy giving back to the community
- 16:42Speaker 2: and doing things that were worth something to other people. Yeah,
- 16:46Speaker 2: because I can. I can get behind this. If you
- 16:50Speaker 2: retire at fifty five and you're able to retire at
- 16:52Speaker 2: fifty five. Wow, that's incredible. And he obviously did make
- 16:55Speaker 2: a ton of money from his franchise to be able
- 16:59Speaker 2: to do that. Here a lot of people and it's
- 17:03Speaker 2: like not always like super healthy to like just stop
- 17:06Speaker 2: at fifty five and then not work at all. That
- 17:08Speaker 2: you have to involve yourself in something.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree. And I also feel like I heard
- 17:13Speaker 3: somebody say, like, well, his LinkedIn said this, Maybe he
- 17:17Speaker 3: doesn't know how to use LinkedIn. He is not updating
- 17:20Speaker 3: his LinkedIn from the eighties. You know. I just feel
- 17:23Speaker 3: like that's it's like a cheap shot that doesn't do
- 17:26Speaker 3: anything for me, Like I don't really care. It's not
- 17:30Speaker 3: like I don't know. It's not like he was embezzling
- 17:32Speaker 3: or he's not.
- 17:33Speaker 2: You know, there's no time, no crime is committed there
- 17:37Speaker 2: there with his career. Yeah. Now something a little bit
- 17:40Speaker 2: more scandalous, I'll admit is our next headline says Golden
- 17:44Speaker 2: Bachelor Gary Turner's ex accuses him of fat shaming and
- 17:47Speaker 2: lying about his dating history. Like we said, lying with
- 17:51Speaker 2: dating history. It could go either way. It could have
- 17:55Speaker 2: been the show not wanting to talk about anything other
- 17:58Speaker 2: than his wife. What's your just take, general take? Does
- 18:01Speaker 2: that have curiosity? Like, like the allegations say he started
- 18:06Speaker 2: dating someone like within three months of Tony dying, How
- 18:11Speaker 2: do you feel about that? Jared and I? Jared and
- 18:13Speaker 2: I had a bit of a debate about it, like
- 18:15Speaker 2: I would literally come and murder him from the other
- 18:17Speaker 2: side first he started dating someone after like forty something years.
- 18:22Speaker 2: But then I also talk to people that are like,
- 18:27Speaker 2: that's what men do. A lot of men do that,
- 18:28Speaker 2: and it's like no offense to their wife, but like
- 18:30Speaker 2: they need the emotional support after always having it for
- 18:34Speaker 2: so long.
- 18:34Speaker 3: They do. And I so I look at it in
- 18:38Speaker 3: a sense where Okay, when I want my husband like
- 18:41Speaker 3: what I wanted to grieve, Yeah, honestly yes, because that's
- 18:44Speaker 3: the type of person I am, Like I need you
- 18:46Speaker 3: to grieve me, but I need you to be sad
- 18:50Speaker 3: like selfishly, yes, like have show how miserable you are,
- 18:53Speaker 3: dressed in black for forever, Like did maybe die of
- 18:56Speaker 3: a broken heart? Like you know that's just who I am.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Please he book me like I will.
- 19:01Speaker 3: Die of broken heart. But I know that men throughout history,
- 19:05Speaker 3: you know, because I'd be knowing history. I'm researching houses
- 19:08Speaker 3: I'm seeing, Oh, his wife died and he married the
- 19:11Speaker 3: sister a couple months later. It happens. It happens. But
- 19:16Speaker 3: so you know, in modern times, what I like to
- 19:17Speaker 3: see a little more of a grieving period. Sure is
- 19:20Speaker 3: that realistic? I don't know. But I also think about
- 19:22Speaker 3: grief and I like, I think about when my cat
- 19:24Speaker 3: died earlier this year and I got a cat the
- 19:27Speaker 3: next month because I couldn't bear to be without an animal,
- 19:31Speaker 3: like you know, And I'm not saying that people are
- 19:34Speaker 3: like animals that. I'm saying that maybe like a distraction
- 19:37Speaker 3: is something that you need. I don't know. Yeah, I
- 19:41Speaker 3: don't think it's like a cardinal sin. I think people
- 19:44Speaker 3: handle grief differently. I don't think that For me, that
- 19:48Speaker 3: wasn't it was like, you know, I'm not going to
- 19:50Speaker 3: get into his business that.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Yeah, well, let's get back to the headline, which is
- 20:04Speaker 2: the fat shaming, which yeah, I mean, this is heavy.
- 20:09Speaker 2: It's heavy. So the woman that he ended up dating
- 20:12Speaker 2: after Tony died, within like a year or so of
- 20:17Speaker 2: their dating and living together, he said, I'm not taking
- 20:21Speaker 2: you allegedly said I'm not taking you to the reunion
- 20:24Speaker 2: looking like that and Caroline, who was is the pseudo
- 20:30Speaker 2: name that they're that's giving the outlet said that she
- 20:33Speaker 2: had recently gained ten pounds due to stress, and he
- 20:37Speaker 2: said that like because of the weight game, he wouldn't
- 20:40Speaker 2: bring her to some reunion. And when Gary was asked
- 20:44Speaker 2: about this, he said, my only response is that I
- 20:47Speaker 2: have so many positive things in my life right now,
- 20:49Speaker 2: and I have the wonder the wonderful love of Teresa,
- 20:52Speaker 2: my partner, and I don't have time to reflect on
- 20:54Speaker 2: comments like this, happy to look forward.
- 20:58Speaker 3: What So it wasn't like I never said that. It
- 21:01Speaker 3: was I don't want to talk about it. Yeah, ah,
- 21:06Speaker 3: that is that's disappointing, honestly.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Yeah, this is interesting. I want to know what kind
- 21:13Speaker 2: of PR training he had there, Like did they say, like,
- 21:16Speaker 2: let's just if anything like that comes up, you say,
- 21:19Speaker 2: I'm moving forward, I'm not talking about the past.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Well, because he didn't say that about the restaurant. He
- 21:25Speaker 3: clarified everything else really, and this thing he just kind
- 21:29Speaker 3: of accepted. He took the l on that was probably
- 21:31Speaker 3: bad PR training, like he should have just been consistent
- 21:35Speaker 3: either said no comment to everything or ye had a
- 21:38Speaker 3: little explanation. But that one is like that's tough. That's
- 21:43Speaker 3: like really sad. And I don't know, we talked with
- 21:47Speaker 3: so much about there. There's a lot of like talk
- 21:49Speaker 3: about body positivity within Bachelor Nation in and of itself
- 21:52Speaker 3: and like something that we as a society should be
- 21:55Speaker 3: striving towards, and it's it's a hot topic. And I
- 22:00Speaker 3: I think that men specifically should be respectful of women
- 22:04Speaker 3: as they are, you know, as a personal belief as
- 22:08Speaker 3: I you know, I just so that is really disappointing. Honestly.
- 22:13Speaker 3: I just wish that he gave a better answer so
- 22:15Speaker 3: I could forgive him.
- 22:16Speaker 2: But you know, like I'm just continuously wondering, like what
- 22:21Speaker 2: is going on into ESA's head this week? Oh my god,
- 22:24Speaker 2: she must be that poor woman, Like that's what because like,
- 22:27Speaker 2: is she freaked out that maybe she saw like the
- 22:29Speaker 2: perfect side of him and that now that there's like
- 22:31Speaker 2: another side that she may not get to know about
- 22:34Speaker 2: for like a year and then she's gonna marry this
- 22:37Speaker 2: man on January fourth? Or are we just all being
- 22:40Speaker 2: salacious now and like digging into these headlines And I
- 22:43Speaker 2: don't know, we don't even know the sores And I
- 22:45Speaker 2: don't know, do we just.
- 22:48Speaker 3: If you think about it, like, Okay, when we normally
- 22:50Speaker 3: have a bachelor, they're like thirty or younger, not much
- 22:54Speaker 3: time has elapsed in their life for things to go
- 22:56Speaker 3: wrong or not much time for growth, you know what
- 22:59Speaker 3: I'm saying, Like seventy that's a whole lot of stuff
- 23:02Speaker 3: that could come up. You know, maybe he should have
- 23:05Speaker 3: said he's grown, just say you've grown from it, Like
- 23:09Speaker 3: I don't know. I feel so bad for Terreesa because
- 23:11Speaker 3: she she's planning a wedding right now.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it's literally less than a month away.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Oh I got my heart, Like I would be freaking
- 23:19Speaker 3: out if I were her, and God bless her, but
- 23:21Speaker 3: like is this too soon?
- 23:24Speaker 2: I feel like yes, I feel like I'm shocked. Jesse
- 23:29Speaker 2: was like, it's going to be the most dramatic announcement
- 23:32Speaker 2: ever whatever it wasn't he didn't say ever, but that
- 23:36Speaker 2: we were all going to be shocked. And actually I
- 23:38Speaker 2: was quite shocked. January fourth, they have known each other
- 23:41Speaker 2: for less than five months and they're going to get married.
- 23:46Speaker 3: No, And I understand he's like a little at our
- 23:48Speaker 3: ange you never know and like okay, yes, but at
- 23:51Speaker 3: the same time, like there are when you when you
- 23:54Speaker 3: come out of Bachelor, like the Bachelor, Bachelor Paradise, and
- 23:57Speaker 3: you're even navigating new friendships. They evolved so much within
- 24:01Speaker 3: a year, and you see it resides to people that
- 24:03Speaker 3: you're like, oh, maybe I wouldn't have Maybe I don't
- 24:06Speaker 3: want to explore this friendship because of some things I've seen,
- 24:09Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. So it's like to have
- 24:12Speaker 3: a partner that you have just decided that you're just
- 24:15Speaker 3: gonna marry after being in this like crazy world and
- 24:18Speaker 3: only having your relationship exposed to the world for like
- 24:22Speaker 3: I don't know one second. Yeah, they agreed to the
- 24:25Speaker 3: wedding before they even got to air some grievances with
- 24:29Speaker 3: the world, you know.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Like yeah, everybody who I say, who I express concern
- 24:35Speaker 2: to about this, they're like they're old and they need
- 24:39Speaker 2: to they don't have that much time left and they
- 24:42Speaker 2: know when they know and all that. I'm like, I
- 24:44Speaker 2: don't know, guys, not that fast. Why get married? Like
- 24:48Speaker 2: why do you have to get married right now? Like
- 24:50Speaker 2: I'm like such like a pro marriage person and like
- 24:53Speaker 2: I love it, and you know, I have positive, healthy
- 24:56Speaker 2: marriages all around me and my family. Yeah, but like normally,
- 25:02Speaker 2: like when you just at this age that they're at.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Totally cool, go get get married eventually, but like, you're
- 25:09Speaker 2: not about to have kids?
- 25:11Speaker 3: No, why, no reason?
- 25:13Speaker 2: Why do we have to rush into the paperwork?
- 25:16Speaker 3: Right? It's and it's the paperwork part of it that's
- 25:19Speaker 3: like the scary part. Sure the union is like a
- 25:21Speaker 3: nice thing, you know, it's a nice sentiment, but like
- 25:24Speaker 3: this is legally binding.
- 25:26Speaker 2: You know you being together at seventy as a boyfriend
- 25:30Speaker 2: and girlfriend is kind of adorable.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Right, just do that. And there are people in my
- 25:34Speaker 3: life that are just like forever engaged. They're like yeah,
- 25:37Speaker 3: because they're older, you know, this is their second marriage
- 25:39Speaker 3: or second relationship, you know, with a long term partner,
- 25:42Speaker 3: and they're just like, we're gonna be engaged for the
- 25:43Speaker 3: rest of our lives. We don't need to be married.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Yeah, we didn't to be married. Just relax, Just relax, guys. Well,
- 25:51Speaker 2: we know why they are that the but we know
- 25:54Speaker 2: what the franchise wants to rush this wedding because the viewership,
- 25:59Speaker 2: they haven't had a live wedding in a long time.
- 26:02Speaker 2: I think they've basically like crossed it out by saying
- 26:05Speaker 2: that it's normally it's a wash Financially for them. But
- 26:09Speaker 2: they are having this is there. There's a golden couple
- 26:12Speaker 2: right now. They have gotten their finale six point one
- 26:17Speaker 2: million viewers and that was live whoa, that wasn't even
- 26:22Speaker 2: with the Hulu numbers and DVR numbers in there.
- 26:28Speaker 3: That's big.
- 26:28Speaker 2: That's huge, really big, really big.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Okay, it's a cash cow you know, yes, yeap. And
- 26:36Speaker 3: it is enticing to have your dream wedding paid for. Yeah, damn,
- 26:41Speaker 3: they got them, They got them right what they want them.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Our last headline of the week is about one of
- 26:47Speaker 2: the most popular contestants of all time, Tyler Cameron. So
- 26:51Speaker 2: do you remember when Tyler and christ and Cavalari were
- 26:54Speaker 2: rumored to like have a thing, Because last year the
- 26:57Speaker 2: two of them went to dinner with like Jason and
- 27:00Speaker 2: Caitlin on New Year's Eve. There was one other couple
- 27:02Speaker 2: there and it just seemed like a little like too,
- 27:06Speaker 2: like it was a couple dinner, not just like a
- 27:08Speaker 2: bunch of friends. And then there was them filming an
- 27:13Speaker 2: ad for her line Uncommon James in the middle of
- 27:16Speaker 2: Palm Springs, and everybody was wondering whether or not they
- 27:20Speaker 2: were hooking up or they were together at all, And
- 27:23Speaker 2: Kristen Cavalary seems to have confirmed that they did hook up.
- 27:27Speaker 2: This week on the Let's Be Honest podcast, somebody said,
- 27:32Speaker 2: who was the hottest guy You've ever been with? And
- 27:36Speaker 2: she said, Okay, this is funny. If I were just
- 27:39Speaker 2: doing it purely based on looks like every guy in
- 27:43Speaker 2: the lineup has nothing to do with chemistry or anything
- 27:46Speaker 2: like that, then the hottest visually is Tyler Cameron. And
- 27:51Speaker 2: believe it or not, you guys, I know this is
- 27:53Speaker 2: freaking hard to believe. He's hotter in person. It's insane.
- 27:55Speaker 2: It's insane. So yeah, TC for you, baby. Yes, guy
- 28:01Speaker 2: like doesn't like he just keeps murdering the game.
- 28:04Speaker 3: He really does. And it is pretty privileged.
- 28:07Speaker 2: And I'll say it, what do you mean, it's pretty
- 28:10Speaker 2: pretty privilege.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Yes, it's pretty privileged. Like he is he is very handsome,
- 28:16Speaker 3: like one of the most handsome men in Bachelor Nation
- 28:21Speaker 3: and apparently, I mean he transcends you know, a list celebrity.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Gigi had, Oh, I'm like, wow, Like he is in
- 28:29Speaker 3: the big leagues. He's in the league of his own,
- 28:30Speaker 3: really and I'm not sure, and you know, good for him.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Jared and I were discussing a couple of days ago.
- 28:37Speaker 2: We're like, can you believe he was runner up to Jed?
- 28:43Speaker 3: Would never happen to me, would never happen.
- 28:47Speaker 2: It would never happened today. It never happened today, like Jaed.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Before we wrap, Jill, tell us the headlines in your life.
- 28:56Speaker 2: You've been with your boyfriend Ellis for over a year,
- 29:01Speaker 2: like you been together for like a year and a
- 29:02Speaker 2: half now to tell us, no, that's not true. Okay, fine,
- 29:05Speaker 2: not a year and a half. A year and like
- 29:07Speaker 2: three months, two months?
- 29:09Speaker 3: No, our year anniversary is next week. No, really, yes,
- 29:14Speaker 3: we've only been to the year. So our year anniversaries
- 29:17Speaker 3: next week, and we're like trying to decide what we're
- 29:19Speaker 3: gonna do for it. And then I was also reminiscing,
- 29:21Speaker 3: and I was like, I the last time I spoke
- 29:23Speaker 3: to Jacob was the right before I went on the
- 29:27Speaker 3: date with Ellis, like.
- 29:28Speaker 2: The day of like you closed the book and as
- 29:31Speaker 2: long as you get complete closure, it opens the book
- 29:34Speaker 2: for somebody.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Else, like and I wasn't even it wasn't even like
- 29:37Speaker 3: closing the book. He was just like called me be
- 29:38Speaker 3: like I was like going like whatever. He was still
- 29:41Speaker 3: trying to be friendly and then and then I was like,
- 29:44Speaker 3: what are you doing right now? I said, oh, I'm
- 29:45Speaker 3: getting ready for a date like I was getting He's like, oh, okay,
- 29:48Speaker 3: well let me know how it goes. And I'm like,
- 29:50Speaker 3: shut up, asshole. I'm like, yeah here and then yeah,
- 29:53Speaker 3: that's the last time I spoke to him, And yeah.
- 29:58Speaker 2: And your mom set you up or you Yeah, mom
- 30:01Speaker 2: and Ellis's mom were the setup. Queen's here, so.
- 30:05Speaker 3: My mom and then like Ellis's dad's girlfriend who like
- 30:07Speaker 3: knew my mom, Like the parents really kind of set
- 30:12Speaker 3: us up, which is a funny story. And yeah, so
- 30:16Speaker 3: that's how that's how we ended up ended up meeting.
- 30:19Speaker 3: So any if you're out there and you're single, maybe
- 30:21Speaker 3: like ask your mom, Like I know she has probably
- 30:23Speaker 3: given you like a thousand duds before, but like there
- 30:26Speaker 3: could be a good one in there. So yeah, we
- 30:29Speaker 3: have been together for a year and I you know,
- 30:34Speaker 3: we're we're greatly, very hopeful.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Thank you very your guys are very serious. And we
- 30:41Speaker 2: have one other friend that that we share in Rhode
- 30:46Speaker 2: Island that we'll be hitting your screen sometime soon. I
- 30:49Speaker 2: think I can say that not saying her name, but
- 30:52Speaker 2: we have a friend who will be on, will be
- 30:55Speaker 2: on Joey season? Yeah, and we got the preview of
- 30:59Speaker 2: Joey season. We did and there's there's not a there's
- 31:03Speaker 2: not a lot there. It wasn't a lot. This an
- 31:06Speaker 2: extended video soon, I'm sure.
- 31:09Speaker 3: I'm excited. Like every time I'm like, this is my
- 31:11Speaker 3: last time watching the show, something else comes.
- 31:14Speaker 2: In and have another friend come on.
- 31:16Speaker 3: I have another friend come on, and I am excited
- 31:19Speaker 3: to watch her journey. I'm I'm so excited.
- 31:22Speaker 2: We will recap another episode together when she's not with her,
- 31:27Speaker 2: we'll talk about her and then for the season we'll
- 31:30Speaker 2: have her on. All right, Jill, thank you so much
- 31:33Speaker 2: for doing this with us. It was really really fun
- 31:35Speaker 2: and I'll see you soon.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Yes, thank you.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Until next time. I've been, Ashley, I've been Jill Sia NYE.
