1:55
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's me Kyle Mayer today, catchin' back up with Manard James Keenan, front man of tool, a perfect circle, and Pussifer, who returns with their fifth album, normal isn't, will be unpacking how the record functions as a kind of cultural status report, part political frustration, part tech anxiety, and part dark humor, which may not always very good at.
2:20
[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to explain why the band feels like it's finally being discovered years after the fact how this album Lean's harder hits sharper than its predecessors and why observation not preaching is the real job here The conversations are also going to get into the creation of
2:36
[SPEAKER_03]: of the new characters, Belinda Black, the expanding world of videos and graphic novels, the the uneasy usefulness of AI, and while being the underdog still matters, and along the way there's going to be talk of David Bowie, language is satire, and why normal isn't feels less like rebellion for rebellion sick, and more like an inevitable reckoning.
2:58
[SPEAKER_03]: All that's and more let's get
3:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Fantastic.
3:07
[SPEAKER_03]: Let me congratulate you, too.
3:08
[SPEAKER_03]: The new post for record, normalism is so good and I really mean that and I'm so happy that we get to talk about this because I was thinking that the first time we talked, we were talking about the website stuff, the videos and the second time was with less so we're talking about a tour so it's nice to actually get into an album this time around and for normalism is like when I listen to you guys it blows my mind every time and I'm not
3:35
[SPEAKER_03]: but you go on.
3:39
[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't know like it seems to me like there's something bigger about the band right now and I don't know if that's my perception or not that maybe something changed on the last album you know as to how you all see it is is that me or is that something real?
3:52
[SPEAKER_05]: Well I think I think it's I think it's time right because you got to remember when we first
4:00
[SPEAKER_05]: And the time that we started recording in 2005, 2006, and until 2007, 90% of the record stores had to close.
4:10
[SPEAKER_05]: There was, when we started recording, there were still a tower records of Virgin Records.
4:14
[SPEAKER_05]: All those big mega stores were still around, and by the time we released the record, they were closed, shuttered.
4:23
[SPEAKER_05]: So it's taken a long time for us to kind of,
4:26
[SPEAKER_05]: get in front of people because that's literally just how you would get in front of people is just literally on the front shelf at the record store and it's new and here's the new section just that amount of traffic so not having that pipeline to get it out it's just taken a while so I think there's a couple incidents in the last couple months where I post a song or you know post a video or something and it'll be a song closer for song and some of you will
4:52
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh my god, I love this new, I love this new material.
4:54
[SPEAKER_05]: That's fucking great.
4:55
[SPEAKER_05]: It's like that's actually from 15 years ago.
4:58
[SPEAKER_03]: And just no finding it.
4:59
[SPEAKER_03]: I'd like, so it's not my perception because that's how it looks out there.
5:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Like people are finally finding it.
5:03
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
5:03
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's what it is.
5:04
[SPEAKER_05]: They're finally finding it.
5:05
[SPEAKER_05]: And they're like, no, this is the game changes.
5:08
[SPEAKER_05]: And then, but you're complimenting a song that's been out for 10 years.
5:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Which just goes on to say everything about, you know, with the five albums that you all have put out now.
5:15
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it is.
5:17
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I'm hoping the rest of it, like you've got two other great bands, sure.
5:21
[SPEAKER_03]: But there's something about this when I'm trying not to compare it to other bands.
5:26
[SPEAKER_03]: But I feel like we should be talking about, post for in the same breath as like radiohead or something like that, you know?
5:31
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know about radiohead.
5:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I do, let me, yeah.
5:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, you go, you go, you go.
5:38
[SPEAKER_03]: I will happily talk about it in that, um, but you know, so there's there's also something about the albums.
5:43
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
5:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
5:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Coming off that last one.
5:46
[SPEAKER_03]: There's I don't know if they just, this is your natural progression or whatever, but something about the last record of this one, it just sounds bigger.
5:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe, I don't know if cohesive is the word that I'm looking for, but it sounds something akin to that.
5:58
[SPEAKER_03]: I guess.
5:59
[SPEAKER_05]: I think it might be a little bit.
6:00
[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, more.
6:02
[SPEAKER_05]: songs that have a little more bite to them, you know, could maybe the other albums when I had a couple of songs like that on them, rather than, and you know, definitely existential reckoning was definitely cinematic quite a bit of a of a synth and landscape in it.
6:20
[SPEAKER_05]: But there were some, there were some months, ones that bit in that one too, but I think maybe that's what it is.
6:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe this
6:31
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, it just, that's what came out, you know, we're, we're definitely tuned into what's happening in the world and, you know, you kind of write what you know and write what you see and so I think maybe, maybe the frustration is coming out a little bit.
6:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think that's in the, the album bio you mentioned something, you said our job is to observe interpret and report, which, especially when you look at it through that lens.
6:57
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this is,
6:58
[SPEAKER_03]: and extremely relevant status reports.
7:03
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but not like a 1950s newscaster or an anchor man, we're reporting more like an interpretive breakdancing poet.
7:14
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, there's things to be said and they have to be said in a way that helps you look at things closer, look at things more deeply, what's your role
7:28
[SPEAKER_05]: the life that you're just fumbling through, like, it's kind of tap-in.
7:32
[SPEAKER_03]: When you're writing like that, do you find that you try not to take a side?
7:36
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we talk about true journalism or something like that.
7:40
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm always going to, I'm always going to side.
7:44
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to be on the side of, fuck, fundamentalist extremists in any way.
7:51
[SPEAKER_05]: left right center.
7:53
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't care if you're if you're a person who doesn't understand humor and irony and you mobilize and on people who disagree with you Sorry, that that is that will be always the side that I that I go on is fundamental the extremists can go fucking suck a bag of dicks
8:13
[SPEAKER_03]: But it's called me on that.
8:15
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, to be fair, you do again, you work in a word like bunghole in this so that you know the humor is there Yeah, and I don't know that anybody else could pull that off by the way bucket list.
8:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you have more are there more words on the bucket list that you're still trying to work Yeah, no, we got him in there.
8:30
[SPEAKER_04]: We got twat we got bunghole
8:33
[SPEAKER_04]: We got Drongo in there.
8:34
[SPEAKER_03]: I learned about Drongo because of that.
8:36
[SPEAKER_03]: I know, I wasn't Australian, right?
8:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
8:39
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Bloody Drongo.
8:40
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a good one.
8:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Appreciate that.
8:44
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you're expanding my vocabulary, but it exists or widening it.
8:50
[SPEAKER_03]: And we'll be right back right after this.
8:52
[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome back.
8:53
[SPEAKER_03]: It's Kyle Meredith with Manor James Keenan.
8:56
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's, you know, but on that stuff you so we're talking about, you know, on that series stuff, when I, you know, look at in Petruus, um, I saw like that.
9:04
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if I'm reading it in the way that you're hoping, but I wrote some stuff down like the revolution is optional.
9:12
[SPEAKER_03]: participation is consensual, you know, um not framed as rebellion for rebellion sake, but as inevitability.
9:19
[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's what I was getting to right there.
9:22
[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
9:22
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think, you know, I feel like, um, we're just kind of then context what you said with this, with this music, kind of bringing in into our little microcosm.
9:31
[SPEAKER_05]: Plus, there's definitely been marginalized and relegated to the third side project category.
9:38
[SPEAKER_05]: And people just don't really, I guess, people just don't think like we do.
9:44
[SPEAKER_05]: And I've always been on the side of the underdog.
9:46
[SPEAKER_05]: That's just kind of how I'm wired.
9:48
[SPEAKER_05]: The marginalized underdog is always going to get my vote.
9:51
[SPEAKER_05]: So that song kind of leans into, it's okay to not think like everybody else.
9:56
[SPEAKER_05]: That's okay.
9:57
[SPEAKER_05]: Don't.
9:58
[SPEAKER_05]: you're an island great if you feel like an island and lean into it and just work with it don't think of it as a flaw yeah there's um and i'm thinking about that in the terms of rebellion as we're talking about i'm thinking about it just as a terms of of of of
10:12
[SPEAKER_03]: of not going along with everything, you know, uh, not following the herd, I guess, uh, not to get too cliche on something like that.
10:19
[SPEAKER_03]: But, but what's the line?
10:20
[SPEAKER_03]: The resolution train is long gone.
10:23
[SPEAKER_05]: It's very different from, uh, a decimalism.
10:26
[SPEAKER_03]: What's that?
10:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
10:27
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
10:27
[SPEAKER_05]: That's a, that's a normalism.
10:28
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
10:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.
10:29
[SPEAKER_03]: I, I, I'm jumping around, but it, all right, it's a, I'm using kind of the context as the album as a fool, because I'm trying to catch stuff as you throw it.
10:37
[SPEAKER_03]: I should name the song as I was talking about it.
10:39
[SPEAKER_03]: But maybe the songs don't talk to each other.
10:42
[SPEAKER_03]: I hear the album, like it's almost linear in the way I hear this record, you know?
10:46
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, definitely there's a three line for sure.
10:50
[SPEAKER_03]: So that's why I think that might be the, yeah, I don't mind seeing this scariest line.
10:55
[SPEAKER_03]: The resolution train is long gone.
10:57
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you gotta, you're not gonna go back and get that weird uncle to untouch you.
11:03
[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?
11:05
[SPEAKER_05]: Just don't you're not going to change that person.
11:08
[SPEAKER_05]: So just you have to fucking take whatever whatever whatever your mold is and and go that see still think there's a path forward though.
11:18
[SPEAKER_05]: There's a path forward for you to figure out ways to work with things, but as far as like resolving anything in the past, you might want to just let that go, you're not.
11:29
[SPEAKER_05]: that's not going to change that.
11:31
[SPEAKER_05]: That's that's you enforcing your will on another person.
11:34
[SPEAKER_05]: You can't.
11:35
[SPEAKER_05]: That doesn't work.
11:36
[SPEAKER_05]: You might have your moments.
11:37
[SPEAKER_05]: There might be like a moment where a group of people can enforce their will on people that are being reasonable.
11:43
[SPEAKER_05]: But eventually that shit breaks down.
11:45
[SPEAKER_05]: It always does.
11:47
[SPEAKER_03]: But that's not the mindset that I think a lot of our societies currently in.
11:52
[SPEAKER_05]: it's sort of that like let's go back and let's and I'm not talking about history there's there's a good thing about learning history you know history repeat history is you know I come from a background of educators and coaches and so that's definitely been undermined over the last few decades and so if you don't have the if you're not armed but the tools to be
12:21
[SPEAKER_05]: what's bullshit and what's not.
12:22
[SPEAKER_05]: That's the fault of the education system.
12:27
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, if you have any of it ignorant society, they definitely believe that, you know, when the wizard or the holy man comes out and he goes, if you don't do what I want you to do, I'm going to block out the sun and it just happens to be an eclipse and they go home.
12:46
[SPEAKER_05]: We're going to put a fucking eclipse there.
12:47
[SPEAKER_05]: You should just fucking start flick and cigarettes at that guy.
12:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's the very first line we hear on the record, which I would guess the way we're talking is very purposefully because you, the record searches, instructions to ignore all the voices.
13:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
13:01
[SPEAKER_03]: How much weight does that line carry for the record?
13:06
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's definitely the, it's definitely the, a linchpin for understanding.
13:12
[SPEAKER_05]: determine English voices to listen to us, you know, honestly, not, you know, don't ignore all of them.
13:17
[SPEAKER_05]: I do say ignore all the voices, but not, you know, the reasonable ones don't ignore those.
13:24
[SPEAKER_03]: It's just you're putting a lot of faith in people to understand who the reasonable ones are.
13:29
[SPEAKER_05]: But the voices that I'm using to talk about is this fucking thing.
13:32
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, right.
13:33
[SPEAKER_05]: Very useful, very useful to find, you know, when I'm trying to find that,
13:37
[SPEAKER_05]: That location or that then you're somewhere that I haven't been to before or you know or send a message to my wife that I'm picking up my daughter.
13:45
[SPEAKER_05]: This is useful.
13:46
[SPEAKER_05]: This is a very useful thing.
13:49
[SPEAKER_05]: But for it to completely twist your soul into marginalizing and dehumanizing other human beings, then that's wrong.
14:00
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's also part of the AI conversation, right?
14:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Like how do you hate something and find it useful at the same time?
14:07
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
14:08
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's going to be, that's going to end great.
14:11
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, all we can really do is hope that the timeline resolves itself and that Sarah Connor actually makes it
14:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we just, my son watched that for the first time, the other day.
14:31
[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, this is today.
14:35
[SPEAKER_03]: It is interesting the conversations we get to have out of it.
14:38
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm also realizing I've got Garbage over my shoulder and surely played a terminator.
14:41
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a nice little one, too, right there.
14:45
[SPEAKER_03]: And we'll be right back right after this.
14:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome back.
14:48
[SPEAKER_03]: It's Kyle Meredith with Manor James Keenan.
14:51
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we're talking about the end.
14:52
[SPEAKER_03]: There is a moment because I was watching the music videos and in pendulum.
14:56
[SPEAKER_03]: It looks like a de-age version of you, and that's all I was wondering, is this one of those cases where
15:03
[SPEAKER_03]: you're using that.
15:04
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you were using that.
15:05
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that could be used.
15:06
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, you know, let's just go back to my history, though.
15:09
[SPEAKER_05]: I've used of all the hours and hours and hours and hours and hours of film and animation and CGI that we've done over the decades.
15:20
[SPEAKER_05]: We used literally used 30 seconds of AI and got fucking crucified for it.
15:26
[SPEAKER_05]: Did you?
15:26
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and then all it
15:29
[SPEAKER_05]: My old friend Cheryl, and morphing her into Karina, my friend Cheryl, and an old photo of me morphing it into older me or Boll India.
15:39
[SPEAKER_05]: That's the we just that's what we used it for.
15:41
[SPEAKER_05]: That's it.
15:42
[SPEAKER_05]: So it wasn't like we took stole identities offline and whatever, and you know, we're burning down for us to fucking do 30 seconds of animation fuck off.
15:52
[SPEAKER_05]: If you use Google today on your phone,
15:58
[SPEAKER_05]: get in your lane.
15:59
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we are in that moment.
16:00
[SPEAKER_03]: I've talked about that here personally too.
16:02
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like we are in that moment.
16:03
[SPEAKER_03]: We're in a radio station.
16:04
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a public radio station.
16:05
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we don't always have budgets for whatever.
16:09
[SPEAKER_03]: It might be needed.
16:10
[SPEAKER_03]: You get something like that.
16:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, that can be useful today.
16:13
[SPEAKER_05]: Today, yes.
16:14
[SPEAKER_05]: Absolutely.
16:15
[SPEAKER_03]: And but I, you did it.
16:17
[SPEAKER_05]: It's not going to replace us.
16:18
[SPEAKER_05]: It's not going to burn down force or it will.
16:21
[SPEAKER_05]: And it will end.
16:22
[SPEAKER_05]: If it's going to, if it's going to end us, it's going to end us.
16:28
[SPEAKER_05]: But you know, also as far as like to being replaced, maybe maybe it's going to replace this.
16:34
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, but they used to say that about drum machines.
16:37
[SPEAKER_05]: Fuck, now the drummers are all going to be out of jobs.
16:39
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
16:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Still got drummers.
16:41
[SPEAKER_03]: Still got drummers.
16:42
[SPEAKER_03]: You got some great drumming on this record, by the way, on side notes.
16:45
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so there's still painters out there.
16:47
[SPEAKER_05]: The Andrea, Andrea Couch, who did the cover art for normalism, fantastic artists for body of work is unbelievable.
17:00
[SPEAKER_05]: Cameras and Photoshop didn't replace her.
17:04
[SPEAKER_05]: She's enjoying incredible work, and it's paint, it's not computer-generated, and she's current irrelevant.
17:13
[SPEAKER_03]: They used to, as you kind of mentioned, they used to be mad at Photoshop, they used to be mad at Facts Machines, or I mean, a copy of machines, it has always been something.
17:22
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a cool video, by the way.
17:26
[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.
17:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
17:27
[SPEAKER_03]: And you mentioned Belinda,
17:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, like, how did you come up with this character?
17:32
[SPEAKER_03]: Belinda.
17:34
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, there's so many, there's a whole backstory here that is eventually coming out and we have, we've released the first graphic novel, introducing Bolendia and that's the video you see at the top of Pendulum, it's the, that's the live version of that and then the graphic novel version has come out and sold out, actually going to do a second edition.
18:00
[SPEAKER_05]: But releasing the second one coming up, it's going to be more the briefcase story involving major douche, douche, sorry.
18:08
[SPEAKER_05]: And then the third one is going to be more of the story of the synth whisper and the origin stories of Blandia and Fanny.
18:18
[SPEAKER_05]: So Blandia, Black and Fanny Gray, that's Carina's character.
18:22
[SPEAKER_05]: And the synth whisper is Matt, Mitchell's character.
18:25
[SPEAKER_05]: So that third,
18:27
[SPEAKER_05]: uh... graphic novel which won't be out for quite a while i'm guessing because i think you want to release those like a month apart somehow but it takes a takes the graphic novel artist he's fucking really great um... but it's you know of course it takes him
18:42
[SPEAKER_05]: it takes them a while.
18:43
[SPEAKER_05]: So we'll release that one, which the third one's third to a third release, and the fourth release are kind of a two part that explained to you, Valendia and Fanny and the synth whisperer.
18:58
[SPEAKER_05]: Can't wait to find that figure that like I don't want to give away too much because I want you to have a little sense of discovery, but like you know the graphic novels are a great way to fill in the gaps because for years plus the first had all these characters, but and their little film bits at the shows, but if you didn't see the show you have no fucking idea we're talking about.
19:18
[SPEAKER_05]: So the graphic novels are a great tool to help you catch up on some of these characters.
19:24
[SPEAKER_05]: So I went back and filmed and wrote scripts for Reversor Kay, Major Dushay, Dick Merkin, Billy D. Everybody, so we're going to go back and time and kind of do the graphic novel for each one to kind of reintroduce you to that character and then give you a couple an entire graphic novel of a story involving them.
19:46
[SPEAKER_03]: Like we were talking about how this that first in it, you know, the first scene with with you in Melita at the beginning of the pendulum video.
19:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you write the album first and then come up with a story or are you able to write the album in character?
19:59
[SPEAKER_05]: Like does the characters the characters came way after I was I, you know, would you just fishing around and then you know, see some photo online of like that's a cool.
20:09
[SPEAKER_05]: That's a cool hairdo, like hair wig, fuck it, let me, let me get, let me get, let me get Brooke on top of doing this beautiful, you know, hand-made lace wig, and you go, well, that looks like this hairdo, you know, see, it's chaotic, but it all kind of comes together matter.
20:28
[SPEAKER_05]: I always said, like, after existential reckoning, where the fuck are we in a go and macos?
20:33
[SPEAKER_05]: You're going to find it.
20:34
[SPEAKER_05]: You'll get it.
20:36
[SPEAKER_05]: Don't worry about it and she was right, you know, just kind of found her way.
20:40
[SPEAKER_03]: It's so fun to think of it through that, though, because when it arrives to us, as you've meant it to be, I mean, it's a complete piece, it's three-dimensional, it's all of these things.
20:49
[SPEAKER_03]: So this is a very relevant record, as we said, it's very poignant, rather, but I can also listen to it in this way through, you know, Blindia and eventually Fanny is on a guessing too, and all of that, like it's a really cool way to kind of hear a record.
21:02
[SPEAKER_03]: It's more than hearing the record, obviously, and there's always been that.
21:06
[SPEAKER_05]: It's got you got to have that balance, you know, the little time and cheek, snarky shit to kind of go along with such, you know, it's kind of all the records are there's quite a bit of serious subject matter on all the records.
21:18
[SPEAKER_05]: There's some time and cheek songs for sure, but even the ones that seem time and cheek, there's there's probably something in them that the time and cheek part was the distraction.
21:29
[SPEAKER_03]: When we only got a couple minutes, bad wolf is great, seven, seven-one, God, that's so different than everything, too, on it, but that's a great one, too, really nothing but compliments.
21:43
[SPEAKER_03]: But right before we get out of here, I just wanted to bring up, because I never get to ask you this.
21:48
[SPEAKER_03]: And one of my favorite things you've ever done is with Bowie, when you did the redo of bringing me the disco king.
21:56
[SPEAKER_03]: It's such a cool song.
21:57
[SPEAKER_03]: I just, I've always wondered where that's how that happened.
22:00
[SPEAKER_05]: But Danny Loner, Danny Loner is the linchpin and that producer, writer, engineer, former bass player from the 90s mails.
22:12
[SPEAKER_05]: He was kind of the guy who got me in the door for closer for tracks into the Underworld series.
22:19
[SPEAKER_05]: And so that was part of that.
22:21
[SPEAKER_05]: I think he was doing a remix and he was like,
22:26
[SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, there's quite a few incidents where Danny was the guy who kind of doing those things.
22:32
[SPEAKER_03]: So is that because I know that song had already existed a little bit before.
22:35
[SPEAKER_03]: So did you just like you weren't in the studio together?
22:37
[SPEAKER_03]: It's what I'm hearing.
22:38
[SPEAKER_05]: No, no, no, no.
22:40
[SPEAKER_05]: That's the best new world order.
22:41
[SPEAKER_05]: That's been the new world order for why?
22:44
[SPEAKER_05]: Being able to
22:45
[SPEAKER_05]: because, you know, the expense, early days of Christopher, we couldn't have afforded to do the films and animation and the graphic novels that we're doing now.
22:55
[SPEAKER_05]: Like those paths have opened through technology.
22:58
[SPEAKER_05]: To be able to do your own film on this thing now, short films, word processing, literally writing lyrics and stuff down, a grabbing voice of voice memos on here for ideas.
23:16
[SPEAKER_05]: 1995 when when closer for a really start started and we were really leaning into the sketch comedy and animation and stuff back then
23:27
[SPEAKER_05]: So, but you couldn't do it without a budget, like literally any film you did that required out craft services and, you know, everything.
23:35
[SPEAKER_05]: So, there's the cameras themselves, like the running a, running a film camera, video camera back then was like, that's it, but I couldn't even afford the fucking stand that it goes on.
23:49
[SPEAKER_05]: You've come a long way, baby.
23:50
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, just technologists come a long way and so we're able to like express the ideas
23:57
[SPEAKER_05]: So to be able to like do a local for that Bowie song remotely, you couldn't have really done that in 1985.
24:07
[SPEAKER_03]: Both sounded so good together.
24:08
[SPEAKER_03]: I love listening to that.
24:09
[SPEAKER_03]: I revisit a lot.
