- 0:29Speaker 1: my husband entered you into his phone as.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Canks cakes Kanks maxing for your cankles. Yeah, he said
- 0:36Speaker 2: I had cankles.
- 0:37Speaker 1: You don't have cankles literally as you wear those. I
- 0:40Speaker 1: think he just called you and then he said you
- 0:42Speaker 1: were Kanks maxing.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Yeah, And I called him in my phone mayor Popenmeyer and.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Then you're like, I'm almost thirty. And then he said
- 0:49Speaker 1: you were Hags maxing.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Yeah, rude ass.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Anyway, this is Beatrice, I'm Dulia, and we are here
- 0:56Speaker 1: to recap the season finale of Welcome to plaith Filled.
- 1:01Speaker 1: This would we've been on a journey with these plaths
- 1:06Speaker 1: and we're here to talk about it. Yeah, but before
- 1:08Speaker 1: we get into it, we do have to issue you
- 1:10Speaker 1: a disclaimer. Leanen, honey, how'd your wife and you better
- 1:15Speaker 1: hide those kids now?
- 1:16Speaker 2: Put them in the closet.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Rannie's got a switch. We're in a reverend podcast. Obviously
- 1:22Speaker 1: we say stupid things. We're highly highly inappropriate to get
- 1:26Speaker 1: over it. So if you're.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Visiting the same for you.
- 1:30Speaker 1: You might want to find yourself another dumpster. But if
- 1:34Speaker 1: you're ready to put this to bed with the plaths
- 1:37Speaker 1: and send them on their Mary Hitler youth way, then
- 1:42Speaker 1: welcome to this dumpster.
- 1:45Speaker 2: And if you hate Zach Wise as much as we do,
- 1:47Speaker 2: please for sure to follow us on Instagram at Reality

- 2:07Speaker 1: of Sister Wives went back on Cults to Consciousness and
- 2:11Speaker 1: gave another riveting interview about her childhood as one of
- 2:16Speaker 1: the Brown Kids, and a lot of dark shit has
- 2:19Speaker 1: come out. Yeah, I dare say maybe this is the
- 2:23Speaker 1: one interview that actually gets into the nitty gritty of
- 2:27Speaker 1: what it was like to be at Brown. I'm loving
- 2:29Speaker 1: it and we're gonna be covering it on Patreon. We're
- 2:32Speaker 1: gonna be watching that together and commenting liberally and inappropriately,

- 2:52Speaker 1: lot of it out that doesn't make any sense. But like,
- 2:54Speaker 1: we watched the show, and if we were to upload
- 2:56Speaker 1: that to YouTube, we would one hundred percent get dinged forright, yeah,
- 3:00Speaker 1: even though it would be fair use, we just don't
- 3:02Speaker 1: want that drama. So we have everything on Patreon and
- 3:05Speaker 1: it is the best way to support us. So please
- 3:07Speaker 1: think up any thank you or thank you now. If

- 3:19Speaker 1: Right because every single thing you do allegedly helps us
- 3:24Speaker 1: on the algorithm, and so thank you in.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Things.
- 3:29Speaker 1: So, before we get into our final recap of Welcome
- 3:33Speaker 1: to Platform Season nine, Beatrice, I have to ask you
- 3:36Speaker 1: whether you have any takeaways.
- 3:38Speaker 2: My takeaway is that I was right. I was right
- 3:40Speaker 2: all along about Zach, I just want us put it
- 3:43Speaker 2: out there.
- 3:43Speaker 1: You love being right.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I do love that's one thing you love. I do
- 3:46Speaker 2: love it. As a Leo, I want to be right, okay.
- 3:49Speaker 2: And I had said from the very beginning when we
- 3:51Speaker 2: got introduced to Zach last season, I'm like, I don't
- 3:54Speaker 2: like this dude. There's something about him that seems weird,
- 3:58Speaker 2: seems this seems toxic. And here we are. Yeah, we
- 4:03Speaker 2: got the proof. He sucks, he does balls. That's it.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Well, as a Leo, you liked it. What did you say?
- 4:14Speaker 1: Feel right?
- 4:16Speaker 2: Well?
- 4:16Speaker 1: As a Taurus, I know I'm right. Yeah, okay, you
- 4:18Speaker 1: cannot change my mind. I've been knowing about Sag. I
- 4:22Speaker 1: don't like him either. My takeaway was that I'm having
- 4:28Speaker 1: a globally a meta like an overall better impression of
- 4:33Speaker 1: Kim this season than perhaps any season before. And of
- 4:38Speaker 1: course I've never liked him and I've dragged him every season,
- 4:41Speaker 1: but like, I really was able to see the mother
- 4:45Speaker 1: that she was and the mother I hope she's trying
- 4:47Speaker 1: to be, and it did awaken my cold dead heart
- 4:51Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 4:53Speaker 2: A lot people are gonna hate you for that.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I'm still side eyeing her, don't get me wrong, and
- 4:56Speaker 1: she's still with that racist and I'm judging that. But
- 4:59Speaker 1: like I just a little bit of my heart came
- 5:02Speaker 1: back to life.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I felt for her too.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Finally, just a little bit. And I also I also
- 5:07Speaker 1: hate Zach. Yeah, so that was that was great. So
- 5:10Speaker 1: without further ado, let's get into our recap of Welcome
- 5:14Speaker 1: to Plath. Billt CEA said nine episode twelve.
- 5:18Speaker 2: To season eight, episode twelve. Sorry from the horse of
- 5:21Speaker 2: his mouth, I do that every That's okay, it's because
- 5:24Speaker 2: we'recovering sister Wise.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Chill take it away.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Well, we resume this episode where we left off last
- 5:33Speaker 2: week with the Plath family intervention, the ambush of Zach
- 5:38Speaker 2: and Lydia, And this was honestly the bulk of the episode,
- 5:42Speaker 2: where we have the family really blasting Zach for his
- 5:48Speaker 2: judgmental attitude, his unwarranted, unwanted opinions and judgments of the
- 5:54Speaker 2: family and criticisms of everybody. And we have Ethan starting
- 5:58Speaker 2: it off by saying, you know, Zach, keep your opinions
- 6:01Speaker 2: to yourself, Okay, bitch, Nobody wants to fucking hear them,
- 6:04Speaker 2: nobody needs them, nobody asks for him. Just keep it
- 6:07Speaker 2: to yourself. Yeah, And of course Zach takes this very personally,
- 6:12Speaker 2: and you know, in the moment when he's with the family,
- 6:15Speaker 2: he's kind of portraying himself as very stoic and like
- 6:18Speaker 2: trying not to be emotional about it. But to the
- 6:22Speaker 2: camera we.
- 6:23Speaker 3: See a lot of how he really feels emotional damage.
- 6:28Speaker 3: He feels really but hurt about this confrontation with the family,
- 6:33Speaker 3: And it's kind of funny to see, honestly, because in
- 6:36Speaker 3: the moment's he's coming off very fake and like two.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Faced, like he's like, well, yeah, like I get it,
- 6:42Speaker 2: I understand. You know, he's trying to defend himself a
- 6:46Speaker 2: few times. So, like one of the biggest issues with
- 6:49Speaker 2: the family is Zach being judgmental of Mariah while they
- 6:55Speaker 2: were all in Montana and how they were playing these
- 6:58Speaker 2: offensive card games that Zach and Lydia didn't approve of,
- 7:02Speaker 2: and Mariah had liquor and alcohol in the presence of Amber,
- 7:07Speaker 2: who is a minor and Zach.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Lives with Kim plav Yeah, and her drunk boyfriend.
- 7:13Speaker 2: She's a big old fucking drug She has alcohol.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Amber has seen it all things, and also.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Amber is old enough to know, like, I'm not gonna
- 7:21Speaker 2: drink underage. It's not that big of a deal, but whatever,
- 7:25Speaker 2: Zach and Lydia are very hard pressed about it, particularly Zach,
- 7:29Speaker 2: and you know, we have Ethan and Isaac calling Zach
- 7:33Speaker 2: out for this and saying like, well, we heard from
- 7:36Speaker 2: Amber and Kaylin and Mariah that actually you made them
- 7:40Speaker 2: quite uncomfortable and you were pressing them on this issue,
- 7:45Speaker 2: and when you were driving to the airport, they felt
- 7:47Speaker 2: trapped in the car with you because you made them
- 7:49Speaker 2: feel so uncomfortable about this whole situation, and we don't
- 7:53Speaker 2: appreciate that.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Yeah, And so Zach in this moment is like, well,
- 7:57Speaker 1: I don't understand. Like we talked about it. I apologized,
- 8:01Speaker 1: I understand that I was wrong, and we resolved it.
- 8:04Speaker 1: We've moved on, and I think it's Isaac was like, yeah,
- 8:08Speaker 1: I don't think people actually felt that way. You know,
- 8:11Speaker 1: they were actually pretty upset, And it sounded to me
- 8:15Speaker 1: like it was a conversation in Montana that happened from
- 8:18Speaker 1: Mariah's house all the way to the airport. Like he
- 8:20Speaker 1: never let up. I don't even know that he actually apologized.
- 8:24Speaker 2: No, and Zach's saying in the moment to the family
- 8:26Speaker 2: that he did apologize and that they did come to
- 8:29Speaker 2: a resolution, but according to Amber and Mariah last week,
- 8:33Speaker 2: they were saying that they just had to agree to
- 8:35Speaker 2: disagree because Zach was constantly on the defense about it,
- 8:39Speaker 2: and he still thought that he was right in exercising
- 8:43Speaker 2: his opinions and being like, well, you shouldn't do that,
- 8:45Speaker 2: and you should do this, and blah blah blah blah blah.
- 8:47Speaker 2: And even Zach to the camera in this episode, like
- 8:50Speaker 2: when he's talking to the family, he's trying to play
- 8:52Speaker 2: it off like, well, I didn't think it was a
- 8:54Speaker 2: big of a deal, and like I wasn't being that
- 8:56Speaker 2: judgmental or rude, and I thought we worked everything out.
- 8:59Speaker 2: But to the camera Zach does admit basically that he
- 9:03Speaker 2: was having an issue with this and having an issue
- 9:06Speaker 2: with Amber being present. He said something like Amber is
- 9:09Speaker 2: a new believer or whatever.
- 9:11Speaker 1: And wants to get baptized.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and he didn't think that this was good for her.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Yeah, But the emphasis wasn't so much on Amber as
- 9:19Speaker 1: it was on the fact that this is not something
- 9:22Speaker 1: that Lydia and I would ever want to do, So
- 9:25Speaker 1: why are you guys doing it? It makes us feel unwelcome,
- 9:28Speaker 1: So he does mention Amber, but the bigger issue is
- 9:31Speaker 1: that they're not actually catering to what Zach wants exactly.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's the underlying thing. And the family gets
- 9:38Speaker 2: to that, you know, Like we start off talking about
- 9:40Speaker 2: their opinions and their criticisms, but really it is Zach
- 9:44Speaker 2: wants everybody to accommodate to him in Lydia's lifestyles. And
- 9:47Speaker 2: he talks about it a little bit. He's like, well,
- 9:50Speaker 2: you guys know that me and Lydia wouldn't do these
- 9:53Speaker 2: things and wouldn't participate with these card games and wouldn't
- 9:56Speaker 2: watch these TV shows or listen to this music, So
- 9:58Speaker 2: like why do you do it? It's like, well, you
- 10:00Speaker 2: can't expect everybody to cater to your lifestyle and to
- 10:06Speaker 2: your belief system. Like that is so unfair, it's so ridiculous.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Everybody can live their own life. And Kim d just
- 10:14Speaker 2: tried to express this a little bit. She's like, we're
- 10:17Speaker 2: all adults. We're a big family, we have a lot
- 10:20Speaker 2: of personalities, and we're all adults. Like, we're all going
- 10:23Speaker 2: to live our own lives.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Right.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I've got alcohol in my house that doesn't drink it.
- 10:28Speaker 1: You have to drink it like we can all exist
- 10:31Speaker 1: in our own way and respect each other, Like that's
- 10:33Speaker 1: kind of what we want to do. I do want
- 10:35Speaker 1: to say that I was happy to see that Ethan
- 10:41Speaker 1: approached this conversation with a level head. He did not
- 10:46Speaker 1: raise his voice, He wasn't threatening in his stance, which
- 10:50Speaker 1: he has been known to do and like do some
- 10:52Speaker 1: like rage, push ups and throw shit around, Like he
- 10:55Speaker 1: wasn't doing any of that. He seemed super calm and
- 10:58Speaker 1: like he did actually want to resolve it, if not
- 11:02Speaker 1: to be closer to Zach, certainly for Lydia's benefit, like
- 11:05Speaker 1: he wants to maintain that relationship with Lydia, and he
- 11:08Speaker 1: acted accordingly. I really liked seeing that he too, actually,
- 11:13Speaker 1: but I don't think that Lydia and Zach even picked
- 11:17Speaker 1: up on that because in the moment they felt so attacked,
- 11:22Speaker 1: and you could really see with Lydia she has no
- 11:27Speaker 1: communication skills whatsoever. She was feeling so much. And season
- 11:31Speaker 1: after season we've seen this with somebody like Ethan, like
- 11:33Speaker 1: we see what he's feeling on his face, but he
- 11:35Speaker 1: doesn't say anything. You can see the same thing happening
- 11:38Speaker 1: with Lydia, like she knows what's happening. She knows why
- 11:41Speaker 1: it's happening, but in the moment, when pressed, when somebody
- 11:44Speaker 1: is actually asking her directly, like what are you feeling,
- 11:47Speaker 1: she cannot communicate at all. And so maybe that's why
- 11:51Speaker 1: Zack feels like he's got a step up and speak
- 11:54Speaker 1: for her. Or maybe after one year she's been trained
- 11:58Speaker 1: by Zack not just speak up and communicate and let
- 12:01Speaker 1: him do all the talking. I can believe that too.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I could see that because I think Zach, like some
- 12:07Speaker 2: of the other previous Plath partners, I think they look
- 12:11Speaker 2: down on the Plath family and look down on these
- 12:13Speaker 2: Plath kids and be like, oh, well, you don't know
- 12:16Speaker 2: how to communicate your emotions effectively, so let me do
- 12:19Speaker 2: it for you. I could see something like that with
- 12:21Speaker 2: Zach and Lydia. I also think that Lydia is feeling
- 12:26Speaker 2: a lot of emotions, like not so much just about
- 12:30Speaker 2: feeling miss by her family or whatever, or feeling upset
- 12:33Speaker 2: that her family doesn't accept her weird fucking husband. But
- 12:36Speaker 2: I think she's also feeling like the effects of the divorce,
- 12:39Speaker 2: the effects of her mom being with a drunk and
- 12:43Speaker 2: being a drunk, the effects of Ethan making a fool
- 12:46Speaker 2: out of himself on her wedding night, the day before
- 12:49Speaker 2: her wedding, you know, ruining that special moment for her. Like,
- 12:53Speaker 2: I think she's feeling way too much. And I'm not
- 12:55Speaker 2: trying to like excuse Lydia's lack of communication here when
- 12:59Speaker 2: I say this. I just think that she's feeling a lot,
- 13:02Speaker 2: and that's why she's crying, and that's why she's.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Overham by most Definitely, I'm not blaming her, no, no, no,
- 13:06Speaker 1: I just feel bad for her because, like this is
- 13:09Speaker 1: an opportunity for her to actually express herself and how
- 13:11Speaker 1: she feels, and she just utterly cannot do it.
- 13:14Speaker 2: And I think that there are valid like reasons for
- 13:17Speaker 2: her to be angry at her family and like angry
- 13:19Speaker 2: at Kim, you know. I think that there's valid reasons
- 13:22Speaker 2: for her to be hurt by her family and to
- 13:25Speaker 2: want to have space and to feel even misunderstood by
- 13:28Speaker 2: her family. But I think that it's getting misconstrued into
- 13:33Speaker 2: this like weird, like judgmental thing, and I think that
- 13:37Speaker 2: Zach is taking that upon himself to misconstrue it, because
- 13:40Speaker 2: I think he judges the fuck out of everybody in
- 13:45Speaker 2: the family, and honestly, Lydia probably judges her family for
- 13:48Speaker 2: it too. I think I said something like last week,
- 13:51Speaker 2: I think Lydia can't really accept the fact that her
- 13:53Speaker 2: family's all fucked up and everybody has made mistakes and
- 13:56Speaker 2: everybody has completely changed their tune from the way she
- 14:00Speaker 2: was raised and the way that she was like brought
- 14:03Speaker 2: up to believe. And so I think that she probably
- 14:05Speaker 2: has some deep seated resentment, which again all fair and valid,
- 14:09Speaker 2: because her family really has done a complete one to
- 14:12Speaker 2: eighty since even from season one when we met them
- 14:15Speaker 2: and they were Hitler Youth Christian Nation, and now we
- 14:19Speaker 2: have this like completely turned around. Everybody's divorced, people got tattoos,
- 14:24Speaker 2: everybody's drinking, you know, like it's a mess. And so
- 14:27Speaker 2: I think Lydia and Zach are judging the fuck out
- 14:30Speaker 2: of everybody. But the problem is with Zach making these
- 14:34Speaker 2: criticisms known and taking it upon himself as this freshly
- 14:39Speaker 2: married person and in this family he's only been in
- 14:42Speaker 2: it for a year to express these concerns to everybody
- 14:47Speaker 2: in such a judgmental, condescending way, like that's the problem,
- 14:51Speaker 2: and that's where everybody is like, Okay, dude, slow your
- 14:54Speaker 2: role right and we have Zach saying stupid things like, well,
- 14:58Speaker 2: but in order to hang out with the family, we
- 15:00Speaker 2: have to do things that we don't want to do.
- 15:02Speaker 2: And Ethan quips back and is like, well, but is
- 15:05Speaker 2: that on the host or is that on the guest?
- 15:08Speaker 2: Like maybe it's your own thing and you know the family.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Isaac Barry is like, well, you don't have to participate
- 15:15Speaker 2: in some of these things. You don't have to play
- 15:17Speaker 2: the card games, you don't have to listen to this music, Like,
- 15:20Speaker 2: it's not that big of a deal.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And Zach, your Lord and savior is Jesus. And Jesus
- 15:26Speaker 1: did a lot of things with a lot of people
- 15:29Speaker 1: that he didn't actually align with in terms of lifestyle.
- 15:32Speaker 1: He shared meals and evenings and time with ladies of
- 15:37Speaker 1: the night and with tax collectors and with people who
- 15:42Speaker 1: were actually looked down upon in society and who were
- 15:46Speaker 1: quote unquote sinners, like he did that all the time
- 15:48Speaker 1: as a demonstration of how we should treat our fellow man.
- 15:53Speaker 1: We should be companionable with them, whether we agree with
- 15:55Speaker 1: him or not, whether they live like us or not.
- 15:57Speaker 1: We should be able to love our neighbor as ourself
- 16:01Speaker 1: bitch ass so like this. This also doesn't align with
- 16:05Speaker 1: what you say you believe to be true, because Jesus
- 16:08Speaker 1: wasn't like that at all. Like if he was invited
- 16:10Speaker 1: and he went and he didn't sit there and judge
- 16:13Speaker 1: everybody if they asked him a question, I'm sure he was,
- 16:15Speaker 1: you know, he was a divine being or whatever, and
- 16:17Speaker 1: so he spoke from that place of divinity. But like,
- 16:19Speaker 1: I'm just like, this is not the way you go
- 16:21Speaker 1: around trying to influence friends and family members, Zach exactly.
- 16:26Speaker 2: And it would be one thing if the family was
- 16:28Speaker 2: doing these like really horrible, heinous things.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Orgie's in front of Amber.
- 16:32Speaker 2: No, seriously, Like if they were doing such toxic, horrible stuff,
- 16:37Speaker 2: that would be one thing. But they're literally playing like
- 16:39Speaker 2: card games and having some wine like it's and it was.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Like one game out of apparently many games according to Isaac,
- 16:45Speaker 1: and he's like, you don't have to play it. I
- 16:47Speaker 1: didn't really like the game either, But it's like not
- 16:49Speaker 1: the end of the world.
- 16:50Speaker 2: It really isn't. And so that's why it's so ridiculous
- 16:54Speaker 2: to have Zach say something like, well, but this makes
- 16:57Speaker 2: us feel unwelcome, Like, dude, the real world, like people
- 17:01Speaker 2: aren't supposed to or expected to cater to you. Like,
- 17:05Speaker 2: that's just not how real life works, especially when you're
- 17:08Speaker 2: an adult, and when you're married to somebody, you can
- 17:11Speaker 2: choose not to participate with family members if they're making
- 17:15Speaker 2: you uncomfortable, Like, that's fine, that's your right to set
- 17:17Speaker 2: that boundary, but to like put it on them, well.
- 17:20Speaker 1: And to make that equal being unwelcome exactly, Like, because
- 17:25Speaker 1: I live my life a certain way, that means I'm
- 17:27Speaker 1: not welcoming to you. That's crazy, that doesn't that doesn't
- 17:30Speaker 1: make any sense.
- 17:31Speaker 2: That's warped. Yeah, And then to the camera, Zach says
- 17:34Speaker 2: something like the family claims to be following God, but
- 17:38Speaker 2: they're making bad decisions. And this is where we have
- 17:40Speaker 2: the producer asking a follow up question like, well, do
- 17:44Speaker 2: you mean, like the card games? Is that the bad
- 17:46Speaker 2: decisions you're referencing, And Zach cuts off the professor, the
- 17:49Speaker 2: professor the producer and says, no, no, no, let me finish.
- 17:53Speaker 2: So this is the first comment that we have from
- 17:55Speaker 2: Zach on air, which is pretty crazy of.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Him being kind of rude, controlling and control, controlling the narrative,
- 18:02Speaker 1: controlling who speaks and when.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Yep. And then this is where Zach follows up and says, well,
- 18:07Speaker 2: when they do things that make me and Lydia cringe,
- 18:11Speaker 2: we want to talk about it, so we should have
- 18:13Speaker 2: the right to talk about it. And I'm like, okay, dude,
- 18:16Speaker 2: mmmm all right.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Hypocrisy.
- 18:18Speaker 2: He's just constantly coming up with things to try and.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Justice moving to gold posts eat all the time. It
- 18:24Speaker 1: comes down to just slower role, don't overstep. Just try
- 18:29Speaker 1: to be like, what is it congenial? Just a nice
- 18:33Speaker 1: person and a family so that they can get to
- 18:35Speaker 1: know you. Because Ethan is like I would like to
- 18:37Speaker 1: have a connection with you. I really like to get
- 18:40Speaker 1: to know you, but like I can't do that if
- 18:41Speaker 1: you keep overstepping and judging my family, that's just never
- 18:44Speaker 1: gonna happen. So stop doing that for real. It's simple.
- 18:47Speaker 2: It's it's as simple as that, Like just know your place, dude.
- 18:50Speaker 2: And again, like I've been saying, like, give you one thing.
- 18:52Speaker 2: If you've been in this family and you've been established
- 18:54Speaker 2: for many, many years and you have a relationship with
- 18:57Speaker 2: all these people, but your brand new dude, new eight,
- 19:00Speaker 2: chill out, yes, gosh. And then this is where he
- 19:04Speaker 2: also oversteps when he talks about Amber because he brings
- 19:08Speaker 2: up like, well, I just don't think that it's appropriate
- 19:10Speaker 2: for Amber to be around this kind of stuff, and
- 19:13Speaker 2: it worries me. And this is where Barry. We hear
- 19:16Speaker 2: from him a little bit the passive boot Bob robot
- 19:21Speaker 2: passive or enlightened, I don't know. He says something like,
- 19:25Speaker 2: you know, he trusts Amber and if she's gonna make mistakes,
- 19:29Speaker 2: she should be allowed to and then we can talk
- 19:31Speaker 2: about it later, and like maybe Zach's overstepping here, And
- 19:35Speaker 2: we hear from Kim as well, saying like, you know,
- 19:37Speaker 2: I'm glad that Lydia and Zach are concerned about Amber.
- 19:41Speaker 2: I get it. I understand that they care about her.
- 19:43Speaker 2: But ultimately Kim and Barry are the parents and we'll
- 19:48Speaker 2: deal with that ourselves.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Yeah, And if you're concerned about something that's happening in
- 19:52Speaker 1: ambers orbit, don't talk to Amber, don't talk to anybody else.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Talk to me, yep, because I'm Amber's mom.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Period. And then we have Barry saying, you know, if
- 20:03Speaker 2: somebody doesn't ask for your.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Opinion, don't give it.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Just shut up, essentially, And we have a bunch of
- 20:09Speaker 2: people in the family saying that, and they're saying it
- 20:11Speaker 2: a lot nicer than how I'm paraphrasing. They're being like,
- 20:14Speaker 2: you know, just don't give your opinion, how unsolicited. We'll
- 20:18Speaker 2: ask if we want your advice, if we want your input,
- 20:22Speaker 2: we'll ask. But you don't need to be making these criticisms.
- 20:25Speaker 2: And again, like it's one thing to make like a
- 20:27Speaker 2: general observation or to share an opinion a little bit,
- 20:31Speaker 2: but like the way that Zach is going about it
- 20:34Speaker 2: is he is basically trying to tell people what to do.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Yeah, from a place of moral authority.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Yeap. And then we hear from Lydia and Zach to
- 20:42Speaker 2: the camera like Lydia cries about it and Zack tears up,
- 20:45Speaker 2: and Lydia's like, well, I just wish that they would
- 20:47Speaker 2: understand where Zach is coming from because he may not
- 20:52Speaker 2: get everything right, but he's got a perfect heart.
- 20:55Speaker 1: He's got perfect intentions, does he?
- 20:57Speaker 2: And this is what I hate about them and I
- 21:00Speaker 2: hate about Zach is that they are trying to twist
- 21:03Speaker 2: this in a way where he is only coming from
- 21:06Speaker 2: good intentions.
- 21:07Speaker 1: And what's the saying, like intention versus impact, So you
- 21:12Speaker 1: can have the right intention and your heart can be
- 21:15Speaker 1: perfect like the sacred heart of Jesus, right, But that
- 21:18Speaker 1: doesn't negate the impact of what it is that you're
- 21:20Speaker 1: doing and how that affects other people.
- 21:23Speaker 2: That so it really doesn't matter if you have good intentions.
- 21:26Speaker 2: This isn't appropriate.
- 21:27Speaker 1: The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Facts. And I actually found a comment on Instagram that
- 21:34Speaker 2: I wanted to read out because I thought it was
- 21:35Speaker 2: really poignant. It was underneath the TLC's post of the
- 21:40Speaker 2: season finale clip and it came from user Martita eight
- 21:45Speaker 2: nine three four, and she says, many married couples, including
- 21:49Speaker 2: my husband and I, have formed opinions about each other's families.
- 21:53Speaker 2: We understand the importance of tact and discretion when it
- 21:56Speaker 2: comes to sharing our thoughts. My husband would never voice
- 21:59Speaker 2: his opinions about my family directly to them, and I
- 22:02Speaker 2: would do the same regarding his family. And I think
- 22:04Speaker 2: that's the issue here with Zach. It's like, dude, you
- 22:08Speaker 2: guys can talk about this like you can have your
- 22:10Speaker 2: own judgments and criticism of the family.
- 22:12Speaker 1: That's fine. Yay's normal.
- 22:14Speaker 2: That's totally normal, especially in the confines of a marriage.
- 22:17Speaker 2: We get it. But you don't need to be coming
- 22:20Speaker 2: out here hot and making these criticisms and judgments publicly
- 22:25Speaker 2: to the family, to members of the family, and then
- 22:28Speaker 2: on podcasts, you know, or to the camera on a
- 22:31Speaker 2: TLC interview. I think that's the issue here that everybody
- 22:35Speaker 2: is having. And like Mariah said last week, it'd be
- 22:38Speaker 2: one thing if it was coming from Lydia, but at ain't.
- 22:41Speaker 2: It's coming from Zach. And so then we get into
- 22:45Speaker 2: a conversation about Tegan a little bit. We have Ethan.
- 22:49Speaker 2: I think, no, it's Lydia asking Ethan if he knew
- 22:53Speaker 2: that Zach had heard things about Teagan and that that
- 22:57Speaker 2: was why he came up to him. When when Ethan
- 23:01Speaker 2: was working on his plymouth.
- 23:03Speaker 1: She said it even harder than that. She's like, Ethan,
- 23:07Speaker 1: I don't know if you know, but like a lot
- 23:08Speaker 1: of people were saying things to Zach about Teagan, you know,
- 23:13Speaker 1: he wanted to approach you directly, which and I texted
- 23:18Speaker 1: Beatrice this, I'm like, that's a little bit mean girl
- 23:21Speaker 1: to me, because Teagan is sitting right there, and what
- 23:24Speaker 1: you are admitting is that the whole family has been
- 23:27Speaker 1: gossiping about her so much so that Zach has heard
- 23:30Speaker 1: about it, which is why he sought fit to say
- 23:33Speaker 1: something to Ethan. So that's gonna make Teagan feel really
- 23:36Speaker 1: bad sitting there with this family in that moment. I'm like, Lydia,
- 23:42Speaker 1: So are you trying to deflect by calling out the
- 23:45Speaker 1: behavior of everybody else because your behavior is being called
- 23:47Speaker 1: out in this moment? Yeah, are you trying to make
- 23:50Speaker 1: Teagan feel bad?
- 23:51Speaker 2: I think so and othered and I think she is
- 23:54Speaker 2: trying to again spin this as like, well, but Zach
- 23:58Speaker 2: had good intentions because he heard all these things, these
- 24:01Speaker 2: horrible things, allegedly.
- 24:02Speaker 1: That he didn't want to participate, although he did, he
- 24:05Speaker 1: did in the moment participated, and that's why he went
- 24:08Speaker 1: to talk to you Ethan.
- 24:10Speaker 2: And Ethan's like, yeah, no, I appreciate your concerns, but again,
- 24:13Speaker 2: keep that shit to yourself, keep your opinions to yourself.
- 24:16Speaker 2: And then we hear from Zach and Ethan to the camera.
- 24:20Speaker 2: You know, Zach says something like, well, I I never
- 24:22Speaker 2: gave my opinion though.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I was just.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Sharing what I had heard and expressing some concerns, but
- 24:27Speaker 2: I didn't give my opinion.
- 24:29Speaker 1: People had been saying that Teagan was terrible, that's what
- 24:32Speaker 1: he said to me camera.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Terrible, and that she had done so many terrible things
- 24:37Speaker 2: to Ethan, and so he wanted to understand why Ethan
- 24:42Speaker 2: chose to continue to be with her, to continue to
- 24:45Speaker 2: talk to her.
- 24:46Speaker 1: But like, dude, again, you're also saying this on camera
- 24:49Speaker 1: though you're gonna you know that Teagan is gonna see that.
- 24:53Speaker 1: You know that it's gonna go out on the airwaves.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Like that's also kind of cruel when you think about it.
- 24:57Speaker 1: Tigan has never done anything to Zach, doesn't know you,
- 25:00Speaker 1: but every single time that she's been around you, You've
- 25:02Speaker 1: admitted it yourself. She's been nothing but pleasant to you. Yeah,
- 25:05Speaker 1: and you're okay to say this like on camera, like ooh.
- 25:08Speaker 2: And we hear from Ethan on camera saying that that
- 25:10Speaker 2: day when he was working on the Plymouth, Zach actually
- 25:12Speaker 2: took him aside, and I think he was like implying
- 25:16Speaker 2: that this was off camera, that Zach had some concerns
- 25:20Speaker 2: about Ethan and Tegan's relationship, and one of those concerns
- 25:24Speaker 2: was Teagan's daughter. And Ethan says, you know, Teagan's daughter
- 25:28Speaker 2: is the best thing that ever happened to her, Like
- 25:30Speaker 2: she's not an issue, and so to even bring her
- 25:32Speaker 2: to this conversation is really fucked up and lame. And
- 25:35Speaker 2: obviously I'm paraphrasing, but Ethan's like, you know, Zach's just
- 25:38Speaker 2: being extremely judgmental, and I'm thinking that Zach was judging
- 25:43Speaker 2: the fact that she had a kid out of wedlock
- 25:45Speaker 2: and that this is ungodly or whatever, and Ethan shouldn't
- 25:48Speaker 2: be with a woman who's got a child out a wedlock.
- 25:50Speaker 1: And I'm like, fuck, yeah, took you all the way
- 25:53Speaker 1: and fuck you forever.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Fuck you forever, like that's not Christian of you whatsoever.
- 25:58Speaker 2: I'm a kid that was born weren't out of wedlock.
- 26:01Speaker 2: My mom married my dad when I was two, and
- 26:04Speaker 2: my dad took me in and has always treated me
- 26:07Speaker 2: like his own daughter. I will always love him for that.
- 26:09Speaker 2: But I remember, like there were some members of the family,
- 26:12Speaker 2: there were some members of our church that kind of
- 26:14Speaker 2: looked at us a little bit differently and looked at
- 26:15Speaker 2: me differently because I was a kid that was out
- 26:18Speaker 2: of wedlock. And obviously now I'm an adult and I
- 26:20Speaker 2: look at those people, I'm like, fuck you, right, like whatever,
- 26:23Speaker 2: But it's heartbreaking for but it's so lame and it's
- 26:26Speaker 2: so disgusting. It's such disgusting behavior, because I look at
- 26:29Speaker 2: what my dad did as super godly like him just
- 26:33Speaker 2: taking in a kid that wasn't his and treating me
- 26:36Speaker 2: like I was his. And he still to this day
- 26:38Speaker 2: treats me like I'm his daughter.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Whatever. Furthermore, let's look at Joseph, the father of Jesus,
- 26:45Speaker 1: that the foster father of Jesus. Mary gets knocked up
- 26:49Speaker 1: by God and everything, it's an immaculate conception, but Joseph
- 26:54Speaker 1: loves her anyway. Joseph takes her in, protects her, raises
- 26:59Speaker 1: Jesus as his own son, teaches Jesus his traits, that
- 27:03Speaker 1: Jesus could become a carpenter just like him. Like that
- 27:06Speaker 1: was the example of Saint Joseph. And here you are,
- 27:10Speaker 1: Zach out here essentially putting down what the father of
- 27:15Speaker 1: the Christ did, right because Teagan has a child and
- 27:17Speaker 1: Ethan is trying to help or wants to be with Teagan,
- 27:21Speaker 1: wants to support the kid, Like that's gross anti Christ.
- 27:26Speaker 1: It's so gross, it's Antichrist totally.
- 27:28Speaker 2: And we actually got a comment, I think, on Patreon
- 27:32Speaker 2: because we had heard from somebody in the family last
- 27:35Speaker 2: week about how Zach thought Teagan was.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Financial like taking financial.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Advantage of Ethan, okay, and we had asked, like what
- 27:47Speaker 2: that was about, if anybody had any theories. Somebody commented
- 27:50Speaker 2: saying that Ethan paid for like a transmission repair or
- 27:55Speaker 2: something on Teagan's car, And obviously that's not cheap. But
- 28:00Speaker 2: Teagan had been doing the majority of the driving right
- 28:02Speaker 2: when he was living in Minnesota and she was living
- 28:05Speaker 2: in Wisconsin, and so of course he's gonna pay for
- 28:09Speaker 2: her transmission repair because she's a single mom and needs
- 28:12Speaker 2: a car, and he's a car guy, so he's probably like, yeah,
- 28:16Speaker 2: I'll take care of it, or I'll pay for the parts,
- 28:18Speaker 2: or I know a guy who can fix it for you. Like,
- 28:20Speaker 2: and if that's what Zach is referencing, as you know,
- 28:24Speaker 2: Teagan taking advantage of Ethan financially, Like, dude, fuck you
- 28:29Speaker 2: fuck out of here. Yes, you're so judgmental. Keep your
- 28:33Speaker 2: opinions to yourself.
- 28:34Speaker 1: You are literally the reason people don't become Christian for
- 28:37Speaker 1: real though, you're really an anti testimony to Christianity, and
- 28:41Speaker 1: like you should really look at yourself if you were
- 28:43Speaker 1: interested in spreading the Gospel, which is like what Christians
- 28:46Speaker 1: are supposed to do, Like you're doing it all wrong.
- 28:49Speaker 1: By being such a judgmental piece of crap.
- 28:52Speaker 2: And like nobody cares that you had good intentions, because again,
- 28:55Speaker 2: it's the delivery, it's the impact of those quote unquote intentions,
- 28:59Speaker 2: and it's the inherent judgment that you have over everybody
- 29:04Speaker 2: around you, like, shut up, you're not saintly to their kid. Jeez.
- 29:09Speaker 2: And so then we have Zach, of course, crying to
- 29:12Speaker 2: the camera about what do we have to do. I
- 29:15Speaker 2: just want to be your brother.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Do I have to wrestle with them? Because I would
- 29:18Speaker 1: really love to wrestle with them.
- 29:20Speaker 2: I would really love to feel their boss.
- 29:22Speaker 1: That would actually be awesome to feel that I have
- 29:26Speaker 1: to do, Like, I will totally do that though.
- 29:28Speaker 2: I will gladly wrestle these these cowboys. Please. Yeah, So
- 29:33Speaker 2: I just don't feel bad for you. Like we had
- 29:35Speaker 2: saw this preview at the beginning of the season, I
- 29:38Speaker 2: was thinking like, oh, okay, maybe the Plath Boys have
- 29:41Speaker 2: done some more.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Fun shit because targetting another significant other.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Right, because last season was terrible. You know, the Plath
- 29:47Speaker 2: Boys definitely acted a fool. They were assholes, they were mean,
- 29:51Speaker 2: they were bullying. But this year we're getting some more
- 29:54Speaker 2: context and we're seeing that Zach's a piece of shit,
- 29:58Speaker 2: so I really just don't feel bad for him on
- 30:00Speaker 2: and then we have him moving the gold posts yet again,
- 30:04Speaker 2: where he brings up something like, well, it feels like
- 30:07Speaker 2: we're pulling teeth having to have you guys come and
- 30:10Speaker 2: visit us, like we never see you. You never come
- 30:13Speaker 2: and visit. We're only forty five minutes away, and we
- 30:15Speaker 2: feel like we're making all this effort and you guys
- 30:18Speaker 2: don't come over, like okay, So again we're making this
- 30:21Speaker 2: another issue where you guys are the victim. And we
- 30:24Speaker 2: have Kim and Isaac both saying like, no, we come
- 30:29Speaker 2: over whenever we have free time, and Kim says like
- 30:31Speaker 2: I brought you cheese cake for your birthday, and I
- 30:34Speaker 2: came over to fix your car or whatever, and I
- 30:36Speaker 2: came over to help Lydia with such and such, like
- 30:39Speaker 2: I come over all the time. Don't put that on us,
- 30:42Speaker 2: like we're not coming over and making you feel welcome,
- 30:45Speaker 2: And Zach, I think, says to the camera like Lydia
- 30:49Speaker 2: just doesn't feel seen, and you know, she just feels
- 30:53Speaker 2: like abandoned and isolated from her family, and so I'm
- 30:56Speaker 2: trying to defend her, like.
- 30:58Speaker 1: No, you're not. You're trying to make her believe that
- 31:01Speaker 1: so she feels isolated from her family, so that you
- 31:04Speaker 1: can squirrel her away to Colorado several months later where
- 31:08Speaker 1: she's not gonna have access to her family. A family
- 31:10Speaker 1: which I actually, I really think they love Lydia.
- 31:13Speaker 2: I think they love each other in general. They do,
- 31:16Speaker 2: even though they are dysfunctional. Every single family has dysfunction,
- 31:21Speaker 2: by the way, Like, no family is fucking perfect. I'm
- 31:23Speaker 2: sure that there's like a few here and there that
- 31:26Speaker 2: have really balanced, healthy families and stuff, But for the
- 31:28Speaker 2: most part, every family's got some kind of tension, some
- 31:31Speaker 2: kind of dysfunction. So the Plaths aren't perfect, okay, yes,
- 31:36Speaker 2: but they love each other, So I believe that. I
- 31:40Speaker 2: believe that too.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I mean, I think Kim is fundamentally broken, yes, and
- 31:44Speaker 1: she doesn't know how to show love. But I think
- 31:46Speaker 1: deep down in there she does love them. And I
- 31:49Speaker 1: think Barry is probably neurodivergent and doesn't necessarily know how
- 31:53Speaker 1: to express himself like you know, ninety nine percent of
- 31:55Speaker 1: the rest of the population does or whatever, But like
- 31:57Speaker 1: that doesn't mean he doesn't love his kids. I think
- 31:59Speaker 1: he does love his kids, and when He's talking about
- 32:01Speaker 1: Amber being able to make her own mistakes and like,
- 32:04Speaker 1: when she does, I'm gonna be here for her. I
- 32:07Speaker 1: believe that. I think he loves his children. These are actually,
- 32:11Speaker 1: deep down these parents love their kids and support their kids.
- 32:15Speaker 1: I mean, they didn't do everything right, and I'm not
- 32:16Speaker 1: going to go off on a dungein, but like, fuck you, Zach,
- 32:19Speaker 1: you don't know Dick, And he actually says something like that, like, well,
- 32:22Speaker 1: I really wasn't around for what happened with Joshua was
- 32:26Speaker 1: I was not around for what this family has been through.
- 32:29Speaker 1: He wanted to comment, though he did, and I think
- 32:31Speaker 1: when he said that he was coming.
- 32:32Speaker 2: For Kim and wanted to criticize her.
- 32:34Speaker 1: He was trying to criticize Kim and what kind of
- 32:37Speaker 1: parents she was and he was gonna say something more
- 32:39Speaker 1: and he's like, let me just stop. I wasn't there, Okay,
- 32:42Speaker 1: then you shouldn't have said anything.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Then you shouldn't have said she it And again, like
- 32:47Speaker 2: I go back to that comment, like it's fine to
- 32:50Speaker 2: make your own assessments of the family and how they
- 32:52Speaker 2: handle things or whatever is a spouse, Like that's normal
- 32:55Speaker 2: and fine, but you fucked up when you made it known, basically,
- 33:00Speaker 2: and you felt the need to say these things to
- 33:04Speaker 2: everybody else, like you're some You're on some pedestal. I
- 33:08Speaker 2: think that they think they're above the rest of the
- 33:10Speaker 2: family too, indeed, And I'm sure because they got married
- 33:13Speaker 2: and they were both virgins and you know they're godly
- 33:17Speaker 2: and everybody else is divorced and drinking and partying.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Talk to me in ten to fifteen years, Lydia.
- 33:22Speaker 2: No for real or five? And I'm like, how long
- 33:25Speaker 2: is this marriage even going to last?
- 33:27Speaker 1: What is he doing with his life? He hasn't been
- 33:29Speaker 1: to university. He doesn't have a degree. Now that everybody does.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I don't have a degree or whatever, but like I'm
- 33:33Speaker 1: married very well, but anyway, but like, what does he
- 33:35Speaker 1: do with his life? How is he supporting? Lydia? Lydia,
- 33:37Speaker 1: what are you doing? I know you went back to Colorado,
- 33:39Speaker 1: but are you going to be a barista? What are
- 33:41Speaker 1: your plans? Is it just to love Jesus forever? Like
- 33:43Speaker 1: to live with your parents? What's your family?
- 33:46Speaker 3: Like?
- 33:46Speaker 1: I would love to get a glimpse into Zach's nuclear
- 33:49Speaker 1: family and those weirdos in fucking Colorado because they can
- 33:52Speaker 1: guarantee you they're probably wealthy, they're probably elitist, and they're
- 33:56Speaker 1: probably evangelical Christians, and I would probably hate them. But
- 33:59Speaker 1: maybe I'm maybe I'm judging.
- 34:01Speaker 2: I don't know, maybe, but they I feel like they're
- 34:03Speaker 2: probably just as judgmental.
- 34:04Speaker 1: If Zach is a byproduct, then yeah, there's something wrong
- 34:07Speaker 1: in that family. And if we had a camera on
- 34:09Speaker 1: the family the entire time, we'd learn a lot there too.
- 34:12Speaker 1: And we judge you, Zach, how would that feel when
- 34:15Speaker 1: we're judging your mama and your daddy and your siblings?
- 34:19Speaker 1: Because I would love to do it.
- 34:21Speaker 2: But we have good intentions though, Yeah, sorry about the impact.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Yeah we have perfect hearts.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Yeah, especially us, Yes, for sure.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Sorry if you don't understand. Oh, and so then we
- 34:32Speaker 2: have Lydia saying at the end of this that she
- 34:35Speaker 2: doesn't know how to include themselves in the family, which
- 34:39Speaker 2: doesn't really make sense, and Kim pipes up and is like, well,
- 34:42Speaker 2: how would you like for us to include you? How
- 34:45Speaker 2: would you like for us to make you feel welcomed
- 34:47Speaker 2: in the family, And even Ethan echoes this, and Isaac
- 34:50Speaker 2: goes this, and Zach's like, well, we're bonfires would be great.
- 34:55Speaker 2: More time at the farm more little activities or whatever.
- 34:59Speaker 1: I just have the impression that nobody's keeping them from
- 35:01Speaker 1: the farm from activities. And furthermore, Kim asked Lydia that question,
- 35:06Speaker 1: and Zach, you're answering for her, like what do you
- 35:08Speaker 1: need from your mom, Lydia, Like what would you like
- 35:12Speaker 1: to do in terms of experiences with your mom and
- 35:14Speaker 1: the rest of your family, Like what do you need?
- 35:16Speaker 1: Because it's Lydia that is the injured party here, and
- 35:19Speaker 1: she has every right, yeah, by the way, to feel injured,
- 35:21Speaker 1: because I think she was injured, she was parentified. We
- 35:24Speaker 1: won't go into all of the things, but like they
- 35:26Speaker 1: took advantage badly of Lydia, and she has every right
- 35:30Speaker 1: to have a grievance against her family and against her parents,
- 35:33Speaker 1: and so like that's a question for Lydia exactly, it
- 35:35Speaker 1: is not a question for Zach.
- 35:37Speaker 2: And I think that's the issue is that Lydia doesn't
- 35:40Speaker 2: really know at this point in time, like what she needs,
- 35:43Speaker 2: what she wants from her family. And I totally get that,
- 35:46Speaker 2: Like she's at this age where she's like going out
- 35:49Speaker 2: into her own and she's coming into adulthood. Her frontal
- 35:52Speaker 2: lobe is developing and she's reflecting back on her childhood
- 35:55Speaker 2: and reflecting back on her parents, and reflecting back on
- 35:59Speaker 2: the complete breakdown of her family, and it's probably bringing
- 36:03Speaker 2: up so much for her that she doesn't really know
- 36:06Speaker 2: how to deal with and know how to articulate. But
- 36:08Speaker 2: go to fucking therapy. Stop like unloading all of these
- 36:14Speaker 2: things under your husband and then making him. It seems
- 36:16Speaker 2: like she's making him do a lot of the dirty work,
- 36:19Speaker 2: or maybe he feels like he should do the communication
- 36:23Speaker 2: and talking for Lydia because he doesn't think that she's capable.
- 36:26Speaker 1: If Yeah, and that's where it's hard, because he's defending her,
- 36:33Speaker 1: but about what you know, like she doesn't know what.
- 36:37Speaker 2: She needs or what she wants from the family. So yeah,
- 36:41Speaker 2: we end the intervention with the majority of the family
- 36:46Speaker 2: feeling like it was a productive conversation and that they
- 36:50Speaker 2: made some ground, and Zach and Lydia to the family
- 36:53Speaker 2: are giving this like, well, yeah, thanks for talking to
- 36:57Speaker 2: us about.
- 36:58Speaker 1: This, totally respect her, I'm going to respect your wishes.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Thanks for the convo.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Good doc. But to the camera, they're crying to the
- 37:06Speaker 2: viewers about how they feel misunderstood and how the family
- 37:10Speaker 2: just doesn't get them and doesn't understand that they had
- 37:12Speaker 2: good intentions and that they just have to shut up.
- 37:15Speaker 2: I guess I guess this means that we're just not
- 37:19Speaker 2: gonna say anything, and that me, Zach, I don't have
- 37:22Speaker 2: a voice in this family.
- 37:24Speaker 1: It's such a victim shut up, like, oh.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Give me a break. And so then we break off
- 37:30Speaker 2: into these little chats with the rest of the family
- 37:33Speaker 2: while we start getting things ready for Zach Lydia's surprise
- 37:37Speaker 2: annivers anniversary party. We have Zach talking to Barry a
- 37:40Speaker 2: little bit, and you know Barry again, he's just kind
- 37:45Speaker 2: of weird dude, like the way that he expresses himself
- 37:49Speaker 2: and talks about things like he's just an oddball. This
- 37:52Speaker 2: is where he's like, yeah, now, you know, not to
- 37:54Speaker 2: export your opinions into lens that don't want to import
- 37:59Speaker 2: yuh yukiyah. Yeah, I just can't. He doesn't seem like
- 38:03Speaker 2: he's the kind of person that can have like a
- 38:05Speaker 2: serious conversation where you're not making everything into a joke.
- 38:10Speaker 2: And Zach's like, yeah, I'm glad that they brought up
- 38:12Speaker 2: their concerns and that he acknowledges that he can sometimes overstep.
- 38:18Speaker 2: He says this to Barry, but then to the camera
- 38:21Speaker 2: he's like, no, it was all valid. Yeah, it's coming
- 38:23Speaker 2: from a good place.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Well, and I don't know if I'm skipping ahead, but like,
- 38:27Speaker 1: at some point, doesn't Zach say something like, well, the
- 38:30Speaker 1: stuff with Teaken and what I knew about her and
- 38:34Speaker 1: everything I heard, Like, I'm I can't apologize for speaking
- 38:37Speaker 1: up about that.
- 38:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't own the fact or I can't own
- 38:41Speaker 2: being wrong to that. Yeah, it is what he says.
- 38:43Speaker 1: He's not sorry. No, he doesn't respect anything anybody's saying.
- 38:47Speaker 1: In fact, he's he's incurred and narcissistic injury totally, like
- 38:52Speaker 1: he's completely bowled over by the fact that he's getting
- 38:56Speaker 1: this criticism. He cannot believe it.
- 38:58Speaker 2: It's really messed up. And I wonder what the family
- 39:00Speaker 2: feels like watching this back, yes and seeing what they
- 39:02Speaker 2: said privately, Yeah, I would be because this is so stupid.
- 39:07Speaker 2: And we have Ethan kind of talking with Teagan and
- 39:09Speaker 2: also talking to the camera. He feels bad for Lydia
- 39:13Speaker 2: and feels bad about the situation, but feels like it
- 39:16Speaker 2: needed to be said. Sure, it needed to be addressed.
- 39:19Speaker 2: He says to the camera that he is trying to
- 39:22Speaker 2: be empathetic, and he also reflects on his relationship a
- 39:25Speaker 2: little bit with Teagan about how he probably shouldn't have
- 39:29Speaker 2: jumped into a serious relationship right after getting divorced, or
- 39:34Speaker 2: leaving Lydia, or leaving Olivia. And I think that that's
- 39:37Speaker 2: actually an interesting point of self reflection for him. It's
- 39:41Speaker 2: honestly encouraging to me that maybe therapy is working for him.
- 39:45Speaker 2: And I hope he continues with that.
- 39:47Speaker 1: He needs it so badly, he.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Really really needs it, and he's right, he shouldn't have
- 39:51Speaker 2: jumped into a serious relationship after Olivia. He should have
- 39:56Speaker 2: spent a little time alone dealing with that.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Agreed.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Then we have Zach talking with Kim while she checks
- 40:02Speaker 2: the mail on the couch and.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Before such a weird conversation, Beatrice like why.
- 40:09Speaker 2: This was bazarre. So they're talking about how the family
- 40:13Speaker 2: is going to sit down and talk about Joshua. This
- 40:17Speaker 2: is going to be a private, little discussion and it's
- 40:20Speaker 2: mainly for Lydia, and like Kim knows that, she kind
- 40:24Speaker 2: of acknowledges that, and Zach says, yeah, I think it's
- 40:28Speaker 2: really awesome that you're going to talk about the death
- 40:31Speaker 2: of your child. I think it's really great, and you know,
- 40:34Speaker 2: Lydia is like fucking pumped. Lydia is so excited for it.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Let's go, let's go, let's talk about her. It's so bizarre.
- 40:45Speaker 2: And so he's saying this to Kim, and Kim to
- 40:48Speaker 2: the camera's like, yeah, I don't know if excited is
- 40:51Speaker 2: the word that I would use for that. It's like,
- 40:53Speaker 2: but whatever, it's fine. You know, I know that Lydia
- 40:56Speaker 2: needs this. And Kim tells Zach that, you know, I'm
- 41:00Speaker 2: always going to be a parent that lost a child
- 41:03Speaker 2: like I don't. There's no amount of therapy, there's no
- 41:05Speaker 2: amount of crying, there's no amount of praying yep, that
- 41:08Speaker 2: will get rid of that. I'm just going to have
- 41:11Speaker 2: to accept the fact that I will always carry this
- 41:14Speaker 2: and I will always live with this. And Zach's like, yeah,
- 41:16Speaker 2: that's great, that's awesome. Oh god, And I hate that
- 41:20Speaker 2: he says that it's such a church bro. Totally.
- 41:22Speaker 1: He's such a church bro dude.
- 41:24Speaker 2: I hate It's cringe.
- 41:26Speaker 1: He does not know how to meet people where they are.
- 41:29Speaker 1: And granted he's very young, sure heyes.
- 41:31Speaker 2: I go, he's like twenty four, he's.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Not developed or anything, but like don't pretend to be
- 41:36Speaker 1: then take on the role of like the kid in
- 41:38Speaker 1: the situation, Like you don't have to be there as
- 41:41Speaker 1: some sort of counselor for Kim. She's fifty something years old,
- 41:44Speaker 1: she's lost a fucking child. Yeah, just shut up a
- 41:47Speaker 1: little bit, just say hey, I'm here for you, like,
- 41:50Speaker 1: really appreciate that this is happening. I know it means
- 41:52Speaker 1: a lot for Lydia, and I'm really just so happy
- 41:54Speaker 1: to be here.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Get shut up, just shut up, Just be like, thank
- 41:57Speaker 2: you for talking to her about it, because it means
- 41:59Speaker 2: a lot all I has to do. He doesn't know
- 42:02Speaker 2: how to be like an observer, Like he doesn't know
- 42:04Speaker 2: how to just sit back and just watch the family
- 42:07Speaker 2: and like you had said, let people meet people where
- 42:10Speaker 2: they're at. He just always feels the need to be like, no,
- 42:14Speaker 2: but I'm I'm Godly.
- 42:16Speaker 1: I'm approving of your actions here today as it concern
- 42:21Speaker 1: is talking about your dead child. God good morus love
- 42:24Speaker 1: that for you.
- 42:25Speaker 2: And then we hear from Lydia in her talking head
- 42:28Speaker 2: saying something like, you know, I've given up on trying
- 42:31Speaker 2: to make all of these relationships work. So whether or not,
- 42:34Speaker 2: my mom and Zach get along like that's up to them.
- 42:37Speaker 2: I've just given up.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Good, drop the rope. It's not your responsibility anyway.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Nope.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and don't need that anxiety.
- 42:44Speaker 2: You're harming yourself more than anything by trying or feeling
- 42:47Speaker 2: the need to manage it. And I think that comes
- 42:50Speaker 2: from her parentified upbringing of like feeling like she's got
- 42:54Speaker 2: to manage the family and manage the emotions of everybody.
- 42:57Speaker 2: I get it, girl, go to therapy though. For real,
- 43:00Speaker 2: you're the eldest daughters, so you get that.
- 43:03Speaker 3: Yep.
- 43:03Speaker 2: It's a it's a hard road, but you got to
- 43:05Speaker 2: learn to drop the rope and stop people pleasing because
- 43:08Speaker 2: it's not your job. And then Zach to the camera
- 43:11Speaker 2: says he doesn't understand Kim at all, doesn't know how
- 43:14Speaker 2: she operates, doesn't get.
- 43:15Speaker 1: It in the context of the conversation that they're having
- 43:18Speaker 1: about Joshua. Yeah, So as a viewer, I'm left to
- 43:22Speaker 1: deduce that you are being critical of Kim in this
- 43:24Speaker 1: moment about how she's expressing herself as it concerns her
- 43:28Speaker 1: deceased child. You absolute piece of crap, And I.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Just don't get that, Like, how can you claim that
- 43:35Speaker 2: you have good intentions, but then you're gonna say, I
- 43:38Speaker 2: just don't understand how she operates, and like, I get it.
- 43:42Speaker 2: You know, Kim is coming off kind of disconnected.
- 43:46Speaker 1: That's Kim though, but that's disassociated. And she lost her
- 43:49Speaker 1: child because she ran over her own child.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Exactly exactly. She's got fucking peety.
- 43:53Speaker 1: She's doing the very best that she can, trying to
- 43:55Speaker 1: have a moment with her family and be available like
- 43:58Speaker 1: in a way that she doesn't she's not equipped to
- 44:00Speaker 1: do it. She's knowing the best, I believe the best
- 44:03Speaker 1: that she can in this moment, and we don't need
- 44:05Speaker 1: u ZAC to sit in judgment is some sort of
- 44:08Speaker 1: arbiter of what's good enough regarding the death of her child, Like,
- 44:12Speaker 1: get the fuck out of here.
- 44:13Speaker 2: He's totally acting like an immature, like teenager, like thinking
- 44:17Speaker 2: like I know everything, I've got it all figured out. Like, dude,
- 44:20Speaker 2: you don't got anything figured.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Out, nor a job. You don't got a job either.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Facts, you're not an adult.
- 44:26Speaker 1: No, Like you're living off of the largest of your wife,
- 44:28Speaker 1: the one that you constantly need to interrupt or put
- 44:31Speaker 1: in her place. She's the one who's got the paycheck
- 44:33Speaker 1: because she's on TLC in this show, in this family
- 44:37Speaker 1: that you're here to criticize she's the one who's subsidizing
- 44:39Speaker 1: your whole life, exactly.
- 44:41Speaker 2: And then Kim wonders to the camera like, I wonder
- 44:45Speaker 2: what Zach even needs to feel accepted. I hope that
- 44:48Speaker 2: I can provide for that for him eventually, but I
- 44:50Speaker 2: don't even know what he needs to feel like he's
- 44:52Speaker 2: a part of the family because we're trying. We're trying
- 44:55Speaker 2: to make him feel welcome.
- 44:56Speaker 1: He needs to be the patriarch, exactly, and you're not
- 44:58Speaker 1: gonna be.
- 45:00Speaker 2: You've got the older Plath boys that are older than you.
- 45:02Speaker 1: They don't kick your ass.
- 45:03Speaker 2: You move to Colorado, and that's exactly what he does.
- 45:08Speaker 2: And Zach says, Lydia has tried very hard for many
- 45:12Speaker 2: years to feel seen by Kim, and this is where
- 45:15Speaker 2: you had said, uh that he tried to criticize her
- 45:19Speaker 2: a little bit. But then says like, oh, no, I'll
- 45:21Speaker 2: just shut up because I wasn't there. I don't know
- 45:24Speaker 2: the whole situation. I'm just coming here to defend my wife.
- 45:27Speaker 2: And this is the only point in the whole episode
- 45:30Speaker 2: where Zach says something like actually, good, reasonable, reasonable, that's
- 45:35Speaker 2: your role, that should be your only role is to
- 45:37Speaker 2: defend your wife and just let her handle it. And
- 45:40Speaker 2: you weren't there, dude, you don't know, so shut up.
- 45:43Speaker 2: You only know Lydia's perspective. And again, like her feelings
- 45:46Speaker 2: and stuff are valid and whatever, but like you don't
- 45:49Speaker 2: need to judge or base your whole like perception of
- 45:53Speaker 2: the family based off of one perspective. Like, shut up.
- 45:56Speaker 2: So then we have Barry and the kids and Kim
- 45:59Speaker 2: h sitting down to talk about Joshua a little bit.
- 46:02Speaker 2: And I thought that this overall like was kind of sweet, Yes,
- 46:07Speaker 2: And I think that Kim was doing her best in
- 46:09Speaker 2: this moment.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Yeah, they all were.
- 46:11Speaker 2: Her ability, Like, she's not perfect. Again, she's kind of
- 46:15Speaker 2: a disconnected person, but she was really doing her best
- 46:18Speaker 2: to just kind of show up for the family.
- 46:21Speaker 1: And she also went into it willing to go over
- 46:24Speaker 1: the play by play yep, like the exact thing that
- 46:28Speaker 1: happened according to everybody who was there and even herself.
- 46:31Speaker 1: This is something that I think gives her PTSD. Yes,
- 46:36Speaker 1: that she does not want to talk about and doesn't
- 46:38Speaker 1: have the words for, but she's showing up to do
- 46:41Speaker 1: exactly that. If the kids need it. Thankfully, none of
- 46:44Speaker 1: the kids wanted to talk about that or brought it up,
- 46:46Speaker 1: so she didn't have to do that. But the fact
- 46:49Speaker 1: that she's willing to do that, we have to credit
- 46:51Speaker 1: Kim for that. I don't think it was just for
- 46:54Speaker 1: the cameras. I think she was wanting to bring the
- 46:57Speaker 1: family together in this moment in a very earnest way.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Yeah, because she says, like all of this was brought
- 47:02Speaker 2: on by Lydia talking about it publicly, and obviously that
- 47:05Speaker 2: wasn't the best way to go about things. I agree,
- 47:08Speaker 2: but that's what Kim said. She said, obviously this isn't
- 47:11Speaker 2: the best way to go about things, but I'm glad
- 47:13Speaker 2: that we can at least talk about it. And I
- 47:15Speaker 2: think it's good that Lydia was the one to kind
- 47:18Speaker 2: of start this because we needed to talk about it
- 47:21Speaker 2: as a family. And you know, while they're discussing Joshua there,
- 47:27Speaker 2: all of them, they're just wanting to talk about his
- 47:30Speaker 2: life and like how he was as a little baby,
- 47:32Speaker 2: and his personality sounded so cute, so cute, and how
- 47:37Speaker 2: he called ducks gucks and he's a sweet baby, and
- 47:42Speaker 2: you know, Kim acknowledges the couple kids that didn't get
- 47:46Speaker 2: to meet Joshua, and so she brings out these little
- 47:49Speaker 2: rubber duckies for them, which I thought was really adorable
- 47:52Speaker 2: and sweet. And that must have been really hard for
- 47:54Speaker 2: Kim to do, and I'm glad that she was able
- 47:57Speaker 2: to do that for the kids. And Lydia pipes up
- 48:01Speaker 2: and says, you know, I just want to acknowledge him
- 48:03Speaker 2: more because we always talk about how there's nine of us, valid,
- 48:07Speaker 2: totally valid, that there's nine of us and there's three brothers,
- 48:10Speaker 2: but actually there's ten of us and four brothers.
- 48:12Speaker 1: And just in this season, it was Barry on his
- 48:14Speaker 1: weird date who said I have nine kids. No, you've
- 48:16Speaker 1: got ten kids.
- 48:17Speaker 2: You've got ten kids, dude. And I think that that
- 48:20Speaker 2: is completely fair and valid. And it seems like that's
- 48:22Speaker 2: really all Lydia wanted was just to acknowledge the fact
- 48:27Speaker 2: that there is ten of us. We do have another brother.
- 48:30Speaker 2: He's in heaven right now, and that's all that she needed.
- 48:35Speaker 2: And I think Kim's like, we can do that. And
- 48:39Speaker 2: we have Ethan and Isaac and Mariah kind of talking
- 48:42Speaker 2: about their memories about Joshua and how they would ride
- 48:45Speaker 2: around with him in a little wagon, which was really cute.
- 48:49Speaker 2: And Kim also recounts like some of the memories of
- 48:52Speaker 2: watching the kids play with Joshua, which again must have
- 48:57Speaker 2: been really hard for her to do. But I think
- 49:00Speaker 2: that that's really sweet. And like the thing is is
- 49:02Speaker 2: like grief is really complicated. There's lots of things that
- 49:05Speaker 2: go into it, and it's a very internal thing. But
- 49:08Speaker 2: sometimes you do have to talk about it. Sometimes you
- 49:11Speaker 2: do have to acknowledge it. Feeling is the secret, and
- 49:14Speaker 2: you do have to move.
- 49:16Speaker 1: Through that to move I know you did not just
- 49:18Speaker 1: quote Neville did to me. I've quoted Neville.
- 49:21Speaker 2: God feeling it's the secret.
- 49:22Speaker 1: So it's my girl right there.
- 49:24Speaker 2: And my therapist has been telling me this too, like,
- 49:26Speaker 2: you know, you have to be able to deal with
- 49:28Speaker 2: these emotions. You have to be able to feel them
- 49:29Speaker 2: even when they're fucking hard.
- 49:31Speaker 1: The is through.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Exactly, and so I think that that's what we're seeing
- 49:35Speaker 2: here with the family, like they're trying to feel the
- 49:37Speaker 2: good stuff. And Mariah says, you know, you can't really
- 49:40Speaker 2: get stuck in the grief, like you have to be
- 49:42Speaker 2: able to like acknowledge the good and that's a hard
- 49:45Speaker 2: thing to do. It's a process it's a lifelong process.
- 49:49Speaker 2: But I think overall this was sweet for them to
- 49:53Speaker 2: talk about Joshua acknowledge him. Kim asks Barry how he's doing,
- 49:59Speaker 2: which I love.
- 50:00Speaker 1: I love that, Like in this moment, I mean, maybe
- 50:02Speaker 1: I'm being duped.
- 50:03Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 50:03Speaker 1: Maybe I'm like buying it. Maybe this is I don't thinker,
- 50:06Speaker 1: but like I'm buying it. And in the moment when
- 50:09Speaker 1: she's like, Barry, how are you doing? Are you okay?
- 50:11Speaker 1: I was like, thanks, Kim, because Barry is probably always
- 50:14Speaker 1: in the background because he doesn't offer himself up because
- 50:16Speaker 1: he doesn't really know how to communicate. But I thought
- 50:19Speaker 1: that was great and then he answered her he does.
- 50:23Speaker 1: I think Barry, it's the best he can do. Beatrice.
- 50:26Speaker 2: I know he's such a matter of fact person, like
- 50:29Speaker 2: he's not very emotional at all. It would be really
- 50:31Speaker 2: nice to see just like a little crack.
- 50:33Speaker 1: It'd be nice to know his signs.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Yeah, to know like how he deals with things. It's
- 50:38Speaker 2: giving Virgo, it's giving major Earth sign like Virgo, maybe
- 50:44Speaker 2: Capricorn and there or something very very stoic. And for me,
- 50:49Speaker 2: that's always been hard for me to understand in other
- 50:52Speaker 2: people because I'm somebody that's very emotional, like I wear
- 50:55Speaker 2: my heart on my sleeve. I can't help it, like
- 50:58Speaker 2: you're gonna see my emotions just kind of weep out
- 51:00Speaker 2: of me. But I think it was nice that Kim
- 51:03Speaker 2: asked him how he was doing, because I'm zooming out
- 51:06Speaker 2: of the meta of it. And Barry really did have
- 51:10Speaker 2: to put himself in the background, because obviously this was
- 51:13Speaker 2: something that Kim did. This was at the hands of her.
- 51:16Speaker 2: She lost a child while also pregnant, like her emotions
- 51:19Speaker 2: took the front, and the emotions of the kids took
- 51:22Speaker 2: the front. And So even though I shit on Barry
- 51:25Speaker 2: for being like a robot and for being super passive,
- 51:29Speaker 2: the strength that you would have to have to be
- 51:32Speaker 2: the patriarch and to be like, Okay, well, I still
- 51:34Speaker 2: got to make the money, though, I still got to
- 51:36Speaker 2: support the family financially and all of this stuff. I
- 51:39Speaker 2: also have to support my wife and defend her tooth
- 51:42Speaker 2: and nail. He has always defended her, Yes, he has
- 51:44Speaker 2: never blamed her for this, and that's a hard fucking
- 51:46Speaker 2: thing to do.
- 51:47Speaker 1: I think most marriages, I mean, if not almost all
- 51:50Speaker 1: of them would have fallen apart one spouse running over
- 51:55Speaker 1: a child.
- 51:56Speaker 2: And resenting that for and so the fact that he's
- 51:59Speaker 2: never done that, he has always just put himself in
- 52:01Speaker 2: the back burner. I think that that's really commendable. But
- 52:04Speaker 2: after Kim asks Barry how he's doing, then we have
- 52:07Speaker 2: Mariah asking Kim how she's doing. Yeah, well, mom, like
- 52:10Speaker 2: we're talking about all this, like how are you doing.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Kim's like I'm okay, Like I can, I can handle this.
- 52:16Speaker 2: And then we have Lydia telling Kim, you know, I think,
- 52:21Speaker 2: like every time I think about it, about the strength
- 52:24Speaker 2: that you had to keep on and keep raising us
- 52:28Speaker 2: after losing a child, Like I just can't believe it.
- 52:31Speaker 2: You're so strong. And that got me in my heart.
- 52:33Speaker 1: Yeah, that was wonderful. Thank you, Lydia.
- 52:35Speaker 2: That got me in my heart.
- 52:36Speaker 1: That's Christianity, that is Christian's love.
- 52:38Speaker 2: And that's also maturity. Maturity to look at your parents
- 52:42Speaker 2: as a human being, because that's like a marker. I
- 52:45Speaker 2: feel like that's a it's a coming of age thing
- 52:47Speaker 2: where you grow up and you realize, like, man, my
- 52:50Speaker 2: parents fucked up a lot. They did some things wrong,
- 52:53Speaker 2: they hurt my feelings or whatever, but at the same time,
- 52:56Speaker 2: like they were just this is their first time doing
- 52:59Speaker 2: it too, and you have to accept that and then
- 53:01Speaker 2: you have emotion and empathy for everything that they went through.
- 53:06Speaker 1: Can I just share that moment for me with my mother.
- 53:09Speaker 1: I was a teenager actually, and we were hanging out
- 53:13Speaker 1: in the living room and I just happened to notice
- 53:18Speaker 1: that she had painted her nails and that they were
- 53:21Speaker 1: like a little chipped or whatever. And I had never
- 53:26Speaker 1: acknowledged that my mother cared about her nails, painted her nails,
- 53:32Speaker 1: how my mother dressed. I had only until that moment,
- 53:34Speaker 1: really interacted with my mother as somebody who was in
- 53:38Speaker 1: a role as it related to me. And it was
- 53:43Speaker 1: like this opening up in my consciousness, this epiphany of like, oh,
- 53:47Speaker 1: mom wants to be pretty. Mom's a woman's mom is pretty,
- 53:52Speaker 1: you know. And then it got me thinking about my
- 53:55Speaker 1: mom and how she was in a relationship with my
- 53:58Speaker 1: bitch ass dad and like all the things I knew
- 54:00Speaker 1: about that as a child in a very dysfunctional, abusive situation,
- 54:05Speaker 1: and like how that would impact a woman who wants
- 54:07Speaker 1: to be pretty and loved by her husband. Like I
- 54:09Speaker 1: just it was such an overwhelming moment of recognition and
- 54:15Speaker 1: understanding and sadness for a woman who's just a person
- 54:21Speaker 1: and is probably doing the best she can fucking do
- 54:23Speaker 1: to just make sure I graduate from high school, which
- 54:25Speaker 1: I barely did graduate from high school, and make it
- 54:28Speaker 1: in my life and like launch me into the world,
- 54:30Speaker 1: like she was doing all that she could, and I
- 54:33Speaker 1: just remember, like the grooves in her nails. I remember
- 54:37Speaker 1: the grooves in her nails, and I'm like, oh, you're
- 54:39Speaker 1: a person like me.
- 54:40Speaker 2: It's so funny how like such a small thing like
- 54:43Speaker 2: that can unlock such.
- 54:44Speaker 1: A big understanding.
- 54:46Speaker 2: Understanding and epiphany, and like it really is a marker
- 54:49Speaker 2: of maturity to be able to look at your parents
- 54:52Speaker 2: like that, and some people never get past that, Like
- 54:55Speaker 2: some people still look at their parents as like they
- 54:57Speaker 2: were so fucking evil and terrible, and some parents aren't. Okay,
- 55:00Speaker 2: Like some parents are terrible, but not all of them are,
- 55:03Speaker 2: and every parent makes mistakes, and it's one of those
- 55:06Speaker 2: things that you just have to come to terms with
- 55:09Speaker 2: as an adult. As a young person, it's just a
- 55:11Speaker 2: human being like that, we're all on this journey together.
- 55:16Speaker 1: It actually makes it easier for you because then, like
- 55:18Speaker 1: when you see them as just another human being on
- 55:21Speaker 1: the path, it's easier to forgive.
- 55:23Speaker 2: That it is.
- 55:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just like, Okay, well, mom was doing the
- 55:26Speaker 1: best that she could. She didn't get it all right,
- 55:27Speaker 1: and my dad was a bitch as or whatever, but
- 55:29Speaker 1: like he was just a human being too, was an
- 55:30Speaker 1: addict or whatever. Like it helps you to contextualize everything
- 55:34Speaker 1: and forgive them. And so in this conversation with Lydia
- 55:36Speaker 1: bringing it back to the show and the rest of
- 55:39Speaker 1: the kids, it's just this utterly human moment between all
- 55:43Speaker 1: of them where they can see each other, yeah, who
- 55:45Speaker 1: they are now as adults or like they're almost adults,
- 55:47Speaker 1: these little er kids, And I just felt like, ooh, poignant.
- 55:52Speaker 2: And I do really love how all of the Plath
- 55:54Speaker 2: kids seem to have this common understanding that their mom
- 55:57Speaker 2: went through this horrible tragedy and that she did the
- 56:00Speaker 2: best that she could.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Yeah, and if she was a piece of shit down
- 56:03Speaker 1: to her core, there would be a few kids in
- 56:05Speaker 1: that circle who would be like, fuck you, mom, I'm
- 56:07Speaker 1: not buying anything you're saying right now. But no, they're
- 56:10Speaker 1: all there authentically in the moment, living their mom yeah,
- 56:15Speaker 1: and their.
- 56:15Speaker 2: Dad and loving them for dealing with that and going
- 56:18Speaker 2: through that. So I think that that's beautiful. And then
- 56:21Speaker 2: after that they go out to the farm and pull
- 56:26Speaker 2: out the bench where they etched Joshua's name, and they
- 56:29Speaker 2: all like etched a part of a letter or the
- 56:32Speaker 2: full letter of Joshua's name together, so that way it
- 56:35Speaker 2: was a collective thing. But Mike is not there, and
- 56:40Speaker 2: I just have to wonder why.
- 56:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that is like kind of a big moment.
- 56:45Speaker 2: I feel like that's kind of shitty, low key to
- 56:48Speaker 2: not be there for something like this, But maybe he
- 56:50Speaker 2: didn't know that they're doing.
- 56:52Speaker 1: I'm going to give Mike a grace. He showed up
- 56:54Speaker 1: for the big scene with the cameras when they went
- 56:57Speaker 1: to the grave with Olivia having attnchrument the van. He's
- 57:01Speaker 1: shown hup for everything. He had a terrible season last
- 57:04Speaker 1: year where he was literally abused by a woman on camera,
- 57:08Speaker 1: and he needs to take a breath, and I think
- 57:10Speaker 1: that's okay. And I do think he's going to make
- 57:12Speaker 1: it back up to the farm and he's going to
- 57:14Speaker 1: have his moment private doing whatever he wants to do
- 57:17Speaker 1: with that bench. And I think that that's perfectly okay.
- 57:20Speaker 1: I get it actually with Micah.
- 57:22Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think like, in the context of the show,
- 57:24Speaker 2: like not wanting to do it on camera. I think
- 57:26Speaker 2: is fair and valid, and like, you know, Joseanna's not there.
- 57:29Speaker 2: She has not been yep on this season at all.
- 57:32Speaker 2: I wonder if she even has contact with the family,
- 57:35Speaker 2: she even talks.
- 57:35Speaker 1: I feel like she does. I feel like from what
- 57:37Speaker 1: I have picked up in the zeitgeist that she does
- 57:41Speaker 1: she just doesn't want to be public. And I think
- 57:42Speaker 1: she's got like a persona and a role in her church.
- 57:47Speaker 1: I think she's a traveling musician with her husband, who
- 57:50Speaker 1: is a Christian traveling musician. So like she's got a
- 57:52Speaker 1: whole like reputation she's got to preserve and she can't
- 57:55Speaker 1: get in the fucking mud with these blasts doing all
- 57:58Speaker 1: this shit.
- 57:58Speaker 2: Yeah, crazy family, So I get it. And so while
- 58:02Speaker 2: they're doing the bench thing, we have poor Tagan who's
- 58:06Speaker 2: sandwiched on the couch between Ken and Zach.
- 58:10Speaker 1: But You're glad you came to Kroe.
- 58:14Speaker 2: And Tegan's like this is weird and awkward, Like I
- 58:16Speaker 2: don't have anything to say to Zach. I don't want
- 58:18Speaker 2: to talk to him. I'm not going to talk to him.
- 58:21Speaker 2: So I'm just gonna sit here with the producers and
- 58:24Speaker 2: Ken talking about their dog. God, poor girl.
- 58:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a very awkward turtle, super awkward.
- 58:31Speaker 2: But she's beautiful though her dress, I think she's beautiful.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Her interstitials with those weird eyelash eyelashes very much of
- 58:40Speaker 1: an Your vibration is a choice it she looks great.
- 58:45Speaker 2: I think so. While she's sitting next to Tea, not
- 58:48Speaker 2: to Tea, And while she's sitting next to Zach and Ken,
- 58:51Speaker 2: we hear from her on the camera saying something like, yeah,
- 58:55Speaker 2: I have nothing no interest in talking to Zach. What
- 58:59Speaker 2: did she say say? Oh, she said something like, Zach
- 59:03Speaker 2: and Lydia feel like they're ostracized, but that's not true,
- 59:06Speaker 2: Like they're not excluded from the family whatsoever. I may
- 59:10Speaker 2: not be a part of the family, but I know
- 59:12Speaker 2: that they're included. So whatever they're saying is BSPs.
- 59:17Speaker 1: And also, when they are included, they want to be
- 59:19Speaker 1: catered to.
- 59:21Speaker 2: Yes.
- 59:21Speaker 1: That so I can attest to the fact that they
- 59:23Speaker 1: are included. They are not excluded, but when they are included,
- 59:26Speaker 1: they want to be catered to.
- 59:27Speaker 2: Yes. And in this moment on the couch, she's like,
- 59:30Speaker 2: I just don't want to dampen the mood of like
- 59:32Speaker 2: their anniversary because I know that that's kind of the
- 59:34Speaker 2: purpose of why we're here, and Zach and Lydia don't
- 59:37Speaker 2: know that that's part of the surprise and stuff. But like,
- 59:40Speaker 2: I'm just here to celebrate their one year or whatever,
- 59:43Speaker 2: and then I'm going to go back to Wisconsin.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Then I'm going to bounce and get myself a new
- 59:47Speaker 1: boyfriend and live my best life. Thank you very much
- 59:49Speaker 1: in advance.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Bye. And so then after the bench signing and whatever,
- 59:55Speaker 2: they all come back inside. It starts raining. They were
- 59:57Speaker 2: going to do the whole celebration outside, so now they
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: have a change of plans, and Kim wants to decorate
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: the inside, but in order to keep it a surprise
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: from Zach and Lydia, she makes Mariah and Mercy take
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: them up to the attic and play the violin, which
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: is really weird with all of her horror bullshit up
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: there in the attic while downstairs they're getting everything ready,
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: and then they bring Zach and Lydia down and they
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: sing happy anniversary to them, and Zach and Lydia pretend
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: to be happy about it, but like to the camera,
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: they're kind of like throwing these little backhanded comments of like, well,
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: I'm surprised that they were able to put something together
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: for us.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Yeah, they were very passive aggressive about it, like, yeah,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: it's the one year anniversary of the worst day of
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: my life. But I guess this is fine.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: And to be fair, like they chose to do this
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: whole confrontation on this one year anniversary also, so it's
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: not really like the best. Sure, so I get it,
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: but also stop being judgmental hosts. Yeah, and it probably
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: wouldn't have been a problem. But whatever they like celebrate.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: They drink some like weird drink that Kim made for them.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: I'm assuming it's not alcoholic.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: He's probably with her juicer.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: We gotta, you know, accommodate to the Christians who don't
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: drink wine or whatever. And they do a toast. Yep.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Yeah. The season finale Babes.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: Season finale, Kim talks about not being a perfect parent,
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: but she's trying.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Yeah, she's learning.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: We're all on a journey.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Barry is encouraged, like we've had a little bumps in
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: the road, but we're a family. We're gonna move on.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: And then cut to fucking Zach and Lydia and he
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: looks pissed. He does look, this is where he cuts
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: off the producer, right, he cuts off Lydia.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: Cuts off Lydia. Where does he say? I have it?
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: In the notes here the Zach says he was amazed
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: they put in this effort, hopes next time the conflict
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: arises that he's not Missinger stood. The producer asks, how
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: can you ensure that there is no more misunderstanding? Lydia
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: starts to answer for him, and this is where Zach
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: cuts her off as just let me answer please.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: And it's the vibration he's in when he says it.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: It's not like, hey, baby, let me fin actually let
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: me I got it. I have something to say. It's
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: my let me finish what I'm saying. Yes, no fucking talk.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: That was the vibration and the way his face looked stern.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: He was very stern. He looked down on her, and
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: you know, she laughs it off and tries to like
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: be lovey dovey with him. But he's not reciprocating that
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: energy with that.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: That at all, and he rarely does, especially when it's
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: like sexual stuff, yep, intimacy stuff. He's very stern. He's cold.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: He's cold, and I thank you producers. I thank you
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: for showing this both of the instances where he cut
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: off the producer and then he cut off Lydia, and
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: we can see his actual nature and the energy he's
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: coming into this with. And he's not a nice person.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: I've been seeing these little moments the entire time we've
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: been seeing him, but it's like, you know, you couldn't
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: discern whether or not, like maybe this was editing or
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: maybe it was whatever. Now we know this is just
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: Zack's attitude and honestly, major red flags yea, And people
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: even on Reddit are calling it out.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Thank god, thank you.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: People are seeing the light. Yeah, holy shit, because this
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: entire season, people on Reddit are l like, oh we
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: got Zag and Lydia. They're the outcasts, they're the villains.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: They got to get away from the evil plass the
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: evil family. And now they're like, Lydia run right, you're
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: married to an asshole. But we can make subjectively true. Yeah,
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: and thank god production showed us what we sensed to
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: be true.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: And Lydia, you and danger girl.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: You and Danger girl.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: But you're young like I was when I was first
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: married at eighteen years old. I don't know what the
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: hell I was getting into and this is the saying
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: that we haven't what it's bumm by you learn. In
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: other words, later on, you're you're gonna learn. You'll know.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: In four years, you'll realize what the hell you did wrong.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Bye bye, You'll learn. And Lydia, that's you, yep.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: And like the family, it seems like they have this
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: mentality of like, well, we'll just let you figure it out,
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: and we'll be here when you do figure it out.
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: We'll still love you through it or whatever. And if
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: you don't want to talk to us for three years, okay, fine, Blake,
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: we'll be here yea. And I feel like I hope
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: that Lydia will realize it. I just worry because she's
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: so fucking naive and she's.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Drinking the kool aide. She's in the trad wife pipeline.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: She is very much so trying to be and maybe
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: was groomed to be by her own parents, a submissive
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: wife and a Christian relationship with a patriarchal dominant or
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: a man trying to be dominant who's not naturally dominant,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: because you wouldn't know what that even feels or looks like.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: And she's just a terrible dynamic in a relationship, and
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: I'm so I just you know, I just.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Remember myself being dressed.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember myself at that age.
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: I had no concept of hell truly beautiful.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: I was, how literally gorgeous, and.
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: How smart and intelligent I was, and I was so
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: fucking funny, dude, Like I could have had anybody that
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: I wanted, but I was from such a fucked up
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: family that I under that I didn't know my own
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: worth or my own value, And like I went with
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: the first guy who showed me any attention and he's
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: I still know him, He's a good person or whatever.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: But I had no concept of self. And that is
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: what we're seeing with Lydia Plath. She has no concept
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: of herself outside of her identity as a Christian and
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: the system of belief that she's been caught up in
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: like the fucking borg, and outside of her relationship with
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: this guy, which is also related to the same system.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: She does not know who she is. But let me
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: tell you, if things go the way that I hope
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: they do, at some point she'll be liberated from this
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: wet fucking blanket theater kid potentially gay person, and she'll
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: have some sort of sexual and consciousness liberation. She'll come
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: into her own she'll feel her own body, and she'll
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: have a great life. But like, actually, the odds are
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: kind of against her. And that's what's sad about this show.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: That's what's sad about lydia Plath.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: To me, it's super sad, honestly. And like, now you're
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: stuck to a guy who's just like gonna be condescending.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: A fucking drip. Dude. Yep, he's probably got a non
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: penis penis. He certainly doesn't know how to use it.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Hopefully he would know how to use his tongue. But
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: with that doll mouth.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: I doubt it.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: Like, Honey, you seem excited by sex, but I bet
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: you have no idea how good it can fucking be
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: with the right partners.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: That ain't it. He's not it. Maybe he's good with
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: his fingers, because I doubt that little tongue can get anywhere, a.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: Little reptile tongue. Fuck, I just can't, dude.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: And I just hope that they like wait to have
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: kids for a while, Like I hope that.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: They're not going to. She already wants to. She's got
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: baby fever. Already, but he.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: I don't know if he can go Oh my god,
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: I I don't.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Know if he can comfort all. Maybe if he closes
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: his eyes and things of Isaac, Oh.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: My god, or my a sidebar. Your daughter had read
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: off this like crazy Reddit post to me earlier today,
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: where this wife was saying while her and her husband
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: were having sex, her husband shouted out he didn't mean
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: to like it sounded like he was like thinking about
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: something fantasizing, but he ended up blurting out like, oh,
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: the sweet boy, pussy.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Bussy.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: She was like, I don't know if I can have
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: sex with him ever again, or like be with him
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: ever again. Yeah, because he was obviously.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: He's envisioning pussy exactly.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: That's what I think with Zach anyway.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: What a tangled web we weave when we deceive ourselves
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: of who it is that we actually are when we're
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: gay and stuff. I know. Well, listen, let's end our
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: recap with a total score A grade if you will
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: for this season? What do you give it?
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: See? Okay, middle of the row? Maybe C minus because
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: it was kind of boring.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean on the heels of last season, which
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: was really to me. It was it was really great,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: so fucking good. I was, like, I had such high hopes.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: I thought we got the flavor of that, like woven
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: throughout the various episodes, but like, for the most part,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: it wasn't really there. So I would agree I'd maybe
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: give it a C plus because we were introduced to
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: a new Plath family villain. Yeah, and some of this
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: stuff was interesting. What would I have liked to see?
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: I would have liked to see Micah I I I
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: my kingdom for Micah telling us who he truly is
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: and living his best life authentically as he truly is,
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: and just knowing like what he's going through, Like I
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: would have loved that. I really would have loved to
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: get more of a snapshot of Mariah and what's happening
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: in Montana, Like I'm working at a bar. Are there
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: cowboys there? Are they hot? Like are you dating? And
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: like what's going on? And what does your house look like?
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: You know, we don't really get a sense of what's
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: happening with Mariah. I would have loved that, but we
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: didn't get it, so yeah, C plus.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: Yeah, And like I don't really care to watch Barry
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: date random.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: And it was too much of that bullshit. It was
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: too much, too much of like Kim and her juicer
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: and Kim and his jukebox and talking about.
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: Her body, Like, why do we even talk about her body?
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Let us do that. Yeah, we don't need you doing that, Ken,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: leave that to Beatrice and Delia. We've got that covered. Thanks.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: Why don't even talk about it if we're not gonna
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: like acknowledge her exercise routine or anything like that. We
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: saw her with a kettlebell, yeah, in a mini trampoline.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Thanks, that was a time. Then we never mentioned it again, Like,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: how do you have this big conversation about how I
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: will literally leave you? Yeah, because I think you're gonna
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: die due to fatness. And then we never talk about
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: it again at all, and she doesn't do anything about
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: it in the season. Yeah, I mean as it appears,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: so like, what's going on with that? That seems like
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: a big thing to say.
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: Dude, watch her get on a GOLP one when I
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: told you, yeah one hundred. This is setting up her
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: GLB one story arc. What if she ends up like
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: Mary Brown?
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: What if she ends up like Kelly Osborne?
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: Oh my god, have you seen Mary Brown?
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: Look?
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: Mary Brown looks Okay, she doesn't look terrible, like she's
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: lost a lot of weight.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: She looks a little weird, but.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: She does not look like a crypt keeper like ke
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Kelly Osborne.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: Dude, she has a full on ed.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: Now that thing I sent you on Instagram, I sent
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: you for real thing at real, I sent you where
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: this guy was looking at a recent picture of her
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: at something like is that AI?
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: No, it's real?
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: I And then to me more like, I don't know.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: The GLP one thing really scares me, although I'm still
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: considering it, but I think that that's probably going to
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: be one of her story arcs. Next week, She's gonna
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: come back and she's going to be probably seventy five
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: pounds down. Yeah, and we're gonna be talking a lot
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: about our weight. And Ethan's going to be single because
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Tiagan left him for a better dude. Yeah, he's probably
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: back in kro and maybe he's dating.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: I hope he's still in therapy. I hope he keeps
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: that up, Yeah, because I think he is benefiting from
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: it right now, like he seems to have done okay
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: in this last episode.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Yeah, he didn't hurt anybody. No, he didn't fly off
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: the handle. Yeah.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: No, and so I'm like, keep going be single for
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: a while, work on your cars. Yeah, and then maybe
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: you'll find a nice girl who will accept you for that.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: I don't know, we'll see.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: I think if he pulls his mental health stuff together
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: and learns how to communicate, I think, and gets a job,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: like an actual job, I think that he could be
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: a good partner to somebody who's like minded or whatever.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: I want to see what happens with Amber. There was
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: a moment when they were in I think the Joshua
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: circle and they panned to Amber and the son was
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: like just hitting her just so and her beautiful aqua
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: marine eyes. I'm like, talk about a girl who probably
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: has no idea, oh none, how beautiful she is. She's
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: just resplendent. I don't know, you're just girl.
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: I mean a lot of these kids are really beautiful, Yes,
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: like a lot of.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Objectively good looking kids.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: Yes, Barry and kid did something right.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: Yeah, and honestly I think it was Kim.
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: Well.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Actually, when you look at Barry as the younger man,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: younger pictures, tall, dark and hands on there, yeah, kind
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: also a looker, Yeah, very beautiful or just anyway, I
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: hope for another season. I don't want the manufactured producer bullshit.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: I'm always raging against that machine. But like, if you
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: want to come back and show me your real stories,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: I am invested.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: I'm invested. I wonder how we're gonna deal with things,
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: like I wonder if Kim not Kim, Lydia and Zach
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: are going to continue being on another season now that
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: they're in Colorado.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: That is my question because.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: If not, who's gonna be the villain?
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: Well, who's gonna be the who's gonna be the a
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: person making money in that family? Without Lydia being, oh, like,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: what are you going to be doing? Zach? I think
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I just feel like Zach underneath it all is a
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: bit of a cloud goblin totally, and he wants to
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: be on this show. So I think that they would
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: follow them, but I don't know.
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: Well, Lydia's doing a bunch of like content creation now,
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: and she's posting a lot of like tiktoks and reels
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: and she's trying to be like a trad wife Ballerina
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: farm no content person, like she's learning how to make sourdough,
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: but poorly kind of judging her for it a little
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: bit because you are the queen. I'm the sourdough queen.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: You are.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: So I'm just like, I don't know what they're gonna do.
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: Maybe they're gonna keep platform so that way they can
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: get paid. But if they're not, then what are we
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: gonna What are we gonna watch?
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Listen, when Amber comes of age, that girl can have
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: any boy she wants, and there can be some drama
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: associated with that. I mean, there are still some things
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: that we can get into with his family, especially if
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: we bring Mica back. Yeah, so we'll wait and see. Guys,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: I have no idea. I do know that maybe Sister
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Wives is coming back. We can talk about that in
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: the Sister Wives episode. But maybe Sister Wives is coming
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: back in a little while.
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: But what should we watch?
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the question.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: Let us know what shows are out there? Yeah, what
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: you guys want to.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Say, it's gotta be trashy. You know what we didn't
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: watch this year was Temptation Island, which is on Netflix.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: I'm down for that because we covered that several years
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: back and that was fun.
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: I loved it. But did anybody care?
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: Like when we're talking about the Gen Pod, it's like, well,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: what do people really want? What do you guys want
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: us to cover? And is there anything launching soon? I
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: feel like there would be because we're at the beginning
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: of summer. I feel like there's gonna be got to
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: be something, you know. The Last Resort is out. Yeah,
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: you've got that Zaied and that old lady. Oh my god,
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: Oh my god. And then Jenny and so did you
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: hear that Jenny has als? No, Jenny was diagnosed with
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: als and so when she was filming the Last Resort,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: her speech was a little bit. It was a little yes.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: And I guess though that they're at the last Resort
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: because to me, it's just a piece of sh He's
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: just like gambling and drinking, and he's not long hair now,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: and they've been having some problems with his mom.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: Still well because he's married to a grand.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Well, yeah, he's got a mom thing, I think. But
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: this is the last Resort. But I don't know. Two
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: hours an episode is not up my alley.
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't want it to be long because then
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: they just drag out stupid content. Yeah, I don't care
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: about that. I want to see them talk about nasty sex.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: Oh, got me too, That would be great. Anyway, give
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: us your suggestions. Please drop in the comments. And by
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: the way, if you're on YouTube, even if you just
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: leave like a little raccoon emotion, that's very helpful for engagement,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: to help the girls attract new people. And we should
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: be doing that because we're a great podcast day we
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: should be way more popular than we are now. On
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: that note, Beatrice, is there anything else that we need
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: to say to these beautiful raccoons before we get upon
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: out of here.
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: Well, if you love our podcast, please do us a favor.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: Go to your favorite podcast platform and leave us a
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: glowing five star reviews. You don't even have to write anything.
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: Just rate us five stars. Really helps us grow the.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Pod and we really appreciate it, so thank you. We
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: actually really do, actually really appreciate that. And every single
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: review benefits us a great deal. So even if just
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: one or two, if you get out there and leave
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: us a little something something is really helpful. Thank you,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Thank you word. We be back next week to talk
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: to sister wives. Until then, please do not forget that
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: we have nothing but love for you and Pease and
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Ma
