- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous podcast. Ben and
- 0:09Speaker 2: I were just chatting in a separate episode about all
- 0:13Speaker 2: our behind the scenes experiences at the Golden Wedding, and
- 0:17Speaker 2: now we want to talk about the headlines that were
- 0:19Speaker 2: created there and other Bachelor headlines from this week.
- 0:23Speaker 3: So kick it off, Ben, Well, the first one is
- 0:26Speaker 3: a disappointing one. This is the reason why the Golden
- 0:29Speaker 3: Bachelor producers give extremely disappointing update on the Bachelorette spinoff.
- 0:34Speaker 2: So if you guys remember a couple of weeks ago,
- 0:36Speaker 2: we shared on here that some of the Bachelor producers
- 0:39Speaker 2: were at like a pop culture convention a couple of
- 0:43Speaker 2: weeks ago, and they said that they definitely want they
- 0:47Speaker 2: want to make a Golden Bachelorette happen. But right now
- 0:50Speaker 2: we are being told by ABC's EVP Rob Mills, who
- 0:55Speaker 2: is also at the wedding, that it likely won't be
- 0:59Speaker 2: happening soon. He says, we will take time, the time
- 1:02Speaker 2: we need to be thoughtful and meticulous, with the same
- 1:05Speaker 2: approach for any subsequent seasons. He said that any new
- 1:11Speaker 2: Golden content will be handled with the same careful touch
- 1:15Speaker 2: they gave to the season one of The Golden Bachelor.
- 1:18Speaker 2: The Golden Bachelor's EP Jason Erlick said that the Golden
- 1:23Speaker 2: Bachelorette will likely look quite different than the Golden Bachelor.
- 1:28Speaker 2: He explained that the production team hopes that we do
- 1:31Speaker 2: get the opportunity and that we get the same genuine
- 1:34Speaker 2: feeling of reasonable people looking for love and in trying
- 1:39Speaker 2: to recreate the same genuine feelings, He says it's likely
- 1:42Speaker 2: that the producers won't want to rush into anything surrounding
- 1:46Speaker 2: the Golden Bachelorette, despite there being a demand for the
- 1:49Speaker 2: series in a massive amount of buzz. Ben, this just
- 1:54Speaker 2: keeps coming back to your theory that somebody in this
- 1:59Speaker 2: ABC world actually doesn't want it to happen.
- 2:03Speaker 3: M It's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
- 2:07Speaker 2: And your theory is this because Ben thinks that they
- 2:11Speaker 2: don't want the show to overpower the main Bachelor and
- 2:15Speaker 2: that they're worried that they'll never be able to compare
- 2:17Speaker 2: to Gary in this season. And I still feel like
- 2:21Speaker 2: this is silly, but I think that there's truth to it.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's silly. I think it's an unwarranted fear.
- 2:31Speaker 3: I do think it's a risk though, and if you
- 2:33Speaker 3: listen to our last episode, I go into what I
- 2:35Speaker 3: hope out of the Golden Bachelor comes, which is a
- 2:38Speaker 3: different vibe. It is the genuineness, It is the care,
- 2:42Speaker 3: it is the love, It is the emotion, and not
- 2:44Speaker 3: the drama and not the comedy of it all. There
- 2:47Speaker 3: can be pieces of that, but overall, I think it's
- 2:50Speaker 3: important that this Golden franchise stays separate in a lot
- 2:54Speaker 3: of ways, and it brings in a different demographic of
- 2:57Speaker 3: people who are willing to sit down with their kids
- 2:59Speaker 3: and watch it, or with their adult parents and watch it.
- 3:04Speaker 3: I you know, I would compare it to this. I
- 3:09Speaker 3: think Gary and Teresa's time together is going to be
- 3:13Speaker 3: magical forever. But I would also say that Trista, Sutter
- 3:17Speaker 3: and Ryan's story was magical and has been legendary forever,
- 3:23Speaker 3: and it didn't take away from the next few seasons
- 3:26Speaker 3: of The Bachelorette. In fact, I think it really kind
- 3:28Speaker 3: of launched The Bachelorette into a different stratosphere and a
- 3:33Speaker 3: kind of a different expectation for the show where people
- 3:36Speaker 3: could find love and it wasn't just about getting out
- 3:38Speaker 3: there and dating and doing ridiculous things on TV, and
- 3:42Speaker 3: so I think if they care for it well, I
- 3:46Speaker 3: do believe that Gary and Teresa's season will be always
- 3:52Speaker 3: a one that we remember, always one that we talk about.
- 3:55Speaker 3: But I don't think it will overshadow the future. I do, though,
- 3:58Speaker 3: see the risk and it kind of swallowing up the
- 4:03Speaker 3: Bachelor and Bachelorette because people will watch you this over
- 4:06Speaker 3: the Bachelor and Bachelorette, and I think that does take
- 4:10Speaker 3: some time. And when do you want that to happen.
- 4:13Speaker 3: I think it's inevitable that it will happen, but when
- 4:17Speaker 3: do you want it to happen? How many more seasons
- 4:18Speaker 3: of the Bachelor and bacheloret can you get out.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I just don't think they should see it as a
- 4:23Speaker 2: problem if they found something that's more exciting to people,
- 4:27Speaker 2: because it has been twenty five seasons of The Bachelor,
- 4:32Speaker 2: It's like that is the longest stretch of season ever.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Throw the white flag and say, hey, this is a
- 4:38Speaker 3: good run.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Even if I think it's okay to have if they
- 4:43Speaker 2: can fit it in schedule, I think it's totally fine
- 4:46Speaker 2: to just be like, all right, we have Bachelor and
- 4:47Speaker 2: Bachelorette and then we have the Golden and Okay, no
- 4:50Speaker 2: big deal. If the Golden is actually more popular than
- 4:53Speaker 2: the original, now I.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Would look at it this way. For me, from my perspective,
- 4:58Speaker 3: it's similar to Live golf and the PGA Tour. Right now,
- 5:01Speaker 3: nobody really cares about that, So I'll kind of summarize
- 5:04Speaker 3: what I'm thinking. There's a compromise here. So maybe the
- 5:07Speaker 3: Bachelor and Bachelorette only come once every other year and
- 5:10Speaker 3: there's an anticipation and excitement for it again where we're like,
- 5:13Speaker 3: oh my goodness, we get a year of the Bachelor
- 5:16Speaker 3: and Bachelorette, or maybe it comes every couple of years.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Whatever it is, there's a way that they both coexist.
- 5:25Speaker 3: The show needs to figure it out because I do
- 5:27Speaker 3: think in the short term, you got to ride this
- 5:29Speaker 3: wave of the Golden. People are excited and they're anxious,
- 5:32Speaker 3: and I think you have some great possibilities for Golden bachelorettes.
- 5:37Speaker 3: I just want them to do it.
- 5:38Speaker 2: To me, there's just a lot of programming out there
- 5:43Speaker 2: that has the same age range as The Bachelor, and
- 5:45Speaker 2: if you guys have found something that is different and
- 5:48Speaker 2: you've started what is different and it's you know, really
- 5:53Speaker 2: working financially. Just go with that, and you can always move.
- 5:57Speaker 2: I don't want them to, but like if they needed to,
- 5:59Speaker 2: they can move The Bachelor to to Hulu.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Sure anyway, do I think there's ways that it co exists,
- 6:05Speaker 3: but we don't sit in that reasoning committee. Okay, let's
- 6:07Speaker 3: fly through a couple of these, just quick hits. ABC
- 6:10Speaker 3: has Golden ratings night, the Golden Watch. The Golden Bachelor
- 6:14Speaker 3: wedding delivers solid numbers. Yes, they're very solid.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Yeah, so overall averaged at let's just say, it's four
- 6:22Speaker 2: point nine six eight million viewers, So it's about five
- 6:25Speaker 2: million viewers. It topped all demos across all networks. That's
- 6:30Speaker 2: it's impressive. It's good, it's great. I don't know if
- 6:33Speaker 2: the other Bachelor weddings can are on the same level. Definitely,
- 6:39Speaker 2: do you think they have been?
- 6:41Speaker 3: Yeah, because past past shows years ago got a lot
- 6:44Speaker 3: more viewers than they get today. But this is a
- 6:45Speaker 3: big success for our time with.
- 6:49Speaker 2: The comparable ratings that we're at right now. Yeah, sure, yeah,
- 6:52Speaker 2: big big Okay.
- 6:53Speaker 3: The Golden Bachelor's Leslie Smiles with Teresaess and Golden Weddings.
- 7:00Speaker 3: The caption is love you.
- 7:03Speaker 2: So Leslie took a picture with Terresa and she says,
- 7:07Speaker 2: I love you at Teresa, and it's just the two
- 7:11Speaker 2: of them being cute and posy and smiling. She said,
- 7:15Speaker 2: like you said in our previous episode, that she was
- 7:19Speaker 2: very excited to be there to support Gary and Teresa
- 7:22Speaker 2: in their beautiful day and knew it would be really,
- 7:24Speaker 2: really amazing. I was able to talk to tru to
- 7:27Speaker 2: Leslie a couple minutes before we entered into like the
- 7:31Speaker 2: wedding festivities, and I talked to her about how awful
- 7:35Speaker 2: her hospitalization was just days prior to going to the wedding.
- 7:39Speaker 2: This poor lady. She was in the hospital for five
- 7:42Speaker 2: days with a bowel blockage that she had full surgery
- 7:46Speaker 2: to remove it. I'm like, true, I'm like, Holeeslie, you
- 7:50Speaker 2: are trooper here. You are just dolled up in this
- 7:54Speaker 2: gown at a beautiful social event and like at one
- 7:58Speaker 2: that's emotional for you, and you just went through this.
- 8:01Speaker 2: That's that's immense.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Yeah, it's impressive. She did great, and she was a
- 8:06Speaker 3: great attitude the whole time. I do believe she was
- 8:10Speaker 3: happy to be there. Okay, two more Golden Wedding headlines
- 8:24Speaker 3: Taysha Adams and Klein Bristow shared table at gold Golden Wedding.
- 8:28Speaker 3: This comes after, obviously the New Year's Zach Clark pictured drama.
- 8:33Speaker 3: We talk a lot about this in our previous episode.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Because I was actually at that table, I get to
- 8:38Speaker 3: talk about the kind of the dynamic here, but kind
- 8:42Speaker 3: of go through this headline and I can clear up
- 8:44Speaker 3: again Ashley to kind of answer the question of was
- 8:47Speaker 3: their actual drama?
- 8:50Speaker 2: Was their actual drama? The answer is no, but no no.
- 8:56Speaker 2: In the clip that there's on social media, you can
- 8:59Speaker 2: see like everyone's just kind of hanging around. No one
- 9:05Speaker 2: is having drama with anyone, Like everybody was happy.
- 9:09Speaker 3: No never, Yeah, there was not any drama to speak
- 9:12Speaker 3: of everybody. I don't even know if they had to
- 9:16Speaker 3: like be mature in the situation. I felt like everybody's
- 9:19Speaker 3: just having fun and sharing the same space and doing
- 9:21Speaker 3: what they needed to do. It was not weird at all.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Sitting there, I thought maybe it could be again, as
- 9:30Speaker 3: I mentioned the last episode, I was like, I wanted
- 9:32Speaker 3: to have a front her seat when the first time
- 9:34Speaker 3: they saw each other again, and now I'm sitting at
- 9:35Speaker 3: the same table, This could be interesting.
- 9:37Speaker 2: But no, Hey, the table's crazy. We're also pretty big
- 9:40Speaker 2: with very large centerpieces, so if they so, if they
- 9:43Speaker 2: weren't like a couple seats away from each other, they're
- 9:47Speaker 2: pretty well blocked.
- 9:49Speaker 3: It worked out, But yeah, I mean everybody had fun. Again.
- 9:54Speaker 3: It was you know, Tas and Caitlin are both friends
- 9:57Speaker 3: of mine and friends of yours. Obviously I know more
- 10:01Speaker 3: about Caitlyn because I was on her season, and so
- 10:04Speaker 3: you know, we kind of buddied up with a few others,
- 10:08Speaker 3: and Tasha obviously had other friends there as well. We
- 10:11Speaker 3: just had a great time. There was nothing weird ever
- 10:14Speaker 3: going on. I know it's disappointed to some. Sorry, nothing
- 10:18Speaker 3: to report on, but after the wedding, there is a
- 10:23Speaker 3: headline that came out that is about Caitlyn as well.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Says Caitlin Bristow is disappointed in ex Jason Tartick's victim mentality.
- 10:31Speaker 3: After Zach Clarker, you.
- 10:33Speaker 2: And I talk to her about this, we'll just say
- 10:36Speaker 2: exactly what we told her in real life, okay, but
- 10:38Speaker 2: the headline is this she got on her podcast. She said,
- 10:42Speaker 2: it's really disappointing to me the way that Jason's kind
- 10:44Speaker 2: of leaning into this victim mentality. I don't want to
- 10:47Speaker 2: dismiss that he's hurting. I don't want to dismiss that.
- 10:50Speaker 2: I don't want to dismiss that his feelings are valid
- 10:52Speaker 2: and his feelings are hurting. I have talked to him
- 10:55Speaker 2: so openly and honestly. We have been so transparent with
- 10:58Speaker 2: each other to have respect for one another. So that
- 11:02Speaker 2: she's confused because she thought that there was such a
- 11:04Speaker 2: good space following their split. Being at you know, Chris
- 11:07Speaker 2: Harrison's wedding, said that we like speak so kindly about
- 11:10Speaker 2: each other. We had so much fun at that wedding.
- 11:12Speaker 2: And then he came over the other day and I
- 11:13Speaker 2: gave him a house tour, and I found myself to
- 11:16Speaker 2: be like, oh, I want to invite him and I
- 11:18Speaker 2: want to show him the new house. Jason posted something
- 11:21Speaker 2: to his Instagram. It was the I think it was
- 11:24Speaker 2: the second of January, he said, the first official day
- 11:27Speaker 2: of twenty twenty four. You could just see it in
- 11:29Speaker 2: his face. It was like supposed to be like a
- 11:31Speaker 2: oh man, is this really happening to me? Type thing.
- 11:34Speaker 2: He was like. It was all alluding to the fact
- 11:37Speaker 2: that like, oh wow, okay, so this new year is
- 11:40Speaker 2: going to start off with my ex being seen with
- 11:44Speaker 2: another guy from the franchise, and you could just you
- 11:49Speaker 2: could tell, you could tell that it was a subtle,
- 11:51Speaker 2: like wow kind of comment.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Definitely like a joke.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Yeah, but it wasn't like it wasn't one hundred percent
- 11:57Speaker 2: in your face that you didn't say any name whatever,
- 12:00Speaker 2: but it was, yes, a little bit of a job. So,
- 12:03Speaker 2: you know, Caitlyn just she feels like Jason's playing the
- 12:06Speaker 2: victim a little bit on social media. She thinks he's
- 12:09Speaker 2: trying to get attention. I, like I said earlier, Betta
- 12:15Speaker 2: and I were just kind of like, you know, to me,
- 12:19Speaker 2: I was like, it is what it is, Like, I know,
- 12:24Speaker 2: but it's not that bad, That's what I said. I
- 12:27Speaker 2: was just he's he's making a little comment. Yeah, he's
- 12:31Speaker 2: bringing it up, but it could be worse. It's not
- 12:34Speaker 2: that bad. I guess I cannot understand his perspective. It
- 12:37Speaker 2: is probably what I'm saying, Like, it's just like it does.
- 12:40Speaker 2: It's that's kind of suck. It sucks. It's always gonna
- 12:43Speaker 2: suck when you see like your ex, especially when you
- 12:45Speaker 2: had like a public relationship with a public figure and
- 12:48Speaker 2: they're moving on in front perhaps in front of your face,
- 12:52Speaker 2: it's just gonna suck.
- 12:53Speaker 3: And yes, like.
- 12:55Speaker 2: People will go out and be like the most appropriate
- 12:58Speaker 2: thing to do is just to keep your mouth shut
- 13:01Speaker 2: and never bring it up at all. But like sometimes
- 13:03Speaker 2: it's just like not in your human nature to do that.
- 13:06Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 13:09Speaker 3: I think that there's obviously still feelings, probably from both sides,
- 13:13Speaker 3: like they care about each other, and when you care
- 13:15Speaker 3: about somebody, you're gonna get hurt more. It's just gonna
- 13:20Speaker 3: hurt more when things like this happen. I understand Kaitlyn's
- 13:23Speaker 3: point of view, and I understand Jason's point of view.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Kaitlyn is probably saying in her mind, I didn't ask
- 13:30Speaker 3: for this, I didn't post this picture. I didn't put
- 13:33Speaker 3: them promote this. Jason. If I would have, I probably
- 13:36Speaker 3: would have maybe tried to give you a heads up.
- 13:38Speaker 3: But this came out not to something I wanted, you know,
- 13:42Speaker 3: came out randomly, and I've had to deal with that too. Also,
- 13:47Speaker 3: Jason is probably saying, Hey, I'm really hurt and does
- 13:51Speaker 3: he want his followers to know that? Sure? Is that
- 13:53Speaker 3: right or wrong? I don't know, but it is. It's
- 13:58Speaker 3: messy when you're in the public eye. I've been through this.
- 14:01Speaker 3: You know, there is many times that you just have
- 14:03Speaker 3: to keep your mouth shut. And I think that's maybe
- 14:06Speaker 3: the best lesson I learned was there's no good that
- 14:10Speaker 3: comes from speaking out. There's no winning here. Yes, there's
- 14:15Speaker 3: no winning in any way. Caitlyn's not gonna win this,
- 14:18Speaker 3: Jason's not gonna win this. What you need to do
- 14:21Speaker 3: is just bite your tongue and pick a few friends
- 14:24Speaker 3: that are not a part of any type of like
- 14:26Speaker 3: platform and start to talk to them about it and
- 14:29Speaker 3: voice your frustrations to them, and you know what, like
- 14:32Speaker 3: go punch a punching bag to like release some like stress.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Whatever you got to do it, It's just best to
- 14:40Speaker 3: not speak about it, because here's the truth. Years later,
- 14:43Speaker 3: you're gonna be a lot happier you didn't say anything
- 14:45Speaker 3: than if you did.
- 14:46Speaker 1: So.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Do you think that he is playing the victim?
- 14:50Speaker 3: Here? Is he playing the victim? Playing the victim feels
- 14:54Speaker 3: like he's intentionally trying to get sympathy.
- 14:56Speaker 2: You think it's different than her saying she said, he's
- 15:00Speaker 2: leaning into a victim mentality. She said, I.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Will say this. When she said the word disappointing comes
- 15:06Speaker 3: to mind, My heart sunk because I just remember as
- 15:09Speaker 3: a kid, which we all do, is when your parents
- 15:11Speaker 3: go I'm not mad at you, I'm just disappointing you,
- 15:12Speaker 3: and you're like, oh, come on, like that hears so
- 15:16Speaker 3: much worse, Like just be mad at me, Like, just
- 15:18Speaker 3: be angry, yell me for like a little bit. I
- 15:22Speaker 3: don't I don't know if Jason's intentionally playing into this
- 15:24Speaker 3: victim of time. I can't answer that, but I mean
- 15:30Speaker 3: it definitely I would just if I if I was
- 15:33Speaker 3: really close with Jason and I was to give him advice,
- 15:36Speaker 3: I would say to hold your tongue and to not
- 15:41Speaker 3: publicly be a victim. But in a sense, like with
- 15:44Speaker 3: your friends, feel free to like with your close friends,
- 15:47Speaker 3: like you need some sympathy and some care and some
- 15:50Speaker 3: love and some extra attention. Ask for it. But social
- 15:54Speaker 3: media isn't going to give it to you, because what
- 15:55Speaker 3: social media does is it pick sides. And pick sides
- 15:58Speaker 3: is never healthy in a breakup, but it's healthy in
- 16:00Speaker 3: a relationship. And I would not open up the floodgates
- 16:03Speaker 3: for social media to have to pick sides on who's
- 16:06Speaker 3: right or who's wrong, or who's more hurt or who's not.
- 16:09Speaker 3: That just gets messy and it's not fun for anybody.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Nobody again, nobody wins. There's no winning out of that,
- 16:15Speaker 3: there's no healing from them. Like when you get in
- 16:18Speaker 3: a breakup like this publicly, there's a moment where the
- 16:22Speaker 3: band aid gets kind of ripped off. Right, you're kind
- 16:24Speaker 3: of healing, You've got the cut already from the breakup,
- 16:27Speaker 3: you're stuck a band aid on it, you're hoping for
- 16:30Speaker 3: it to heal. You've been waiting a few weeks, and
- 16:32Speaker 3: then all of a sudden, something like this happens where
- 16:34Speaker 3: your partner moves on, which is totally fair to do.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Nobody's blaming anybody for moving on from this relationship. It's over.
- 16:41Speaker 3: They've ended it like there's no reason why they can't
- 16:44Speaker 3: move on. Then that bandig gets ripped off and it hurts,
- 16:47Speaker 3: and it stings for a while, but that's the start
- 16:51Speaker 3: of then regrouping and rehealing and getting back out into
- 16:54Speaker 3: the world again. And it sucks. I've been through it.
- 16:57Speaker 3: It hurts, but you get better in life gets better.
- 17:04Speaker 3: And I think this is just like that start of that,
- 17:05Speaker 3: and we're seeing it publicly.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, let me just reiterate my thoughts now, because
- 17:11Speaker 2: I do not think it's a huge deolo Jason did this.
- 17:13Speaker 2: It's like kind of harmless in the grand scheme of like,
- 17:17Speaker 2: you know, things you can do on social media when
- 17:20Speaker 2: you're in a sticky breakup. But I do think he
- 17:26Speaker 2: like kind of did it intentionally. Obviously he did it intentionally,
- 17:31Speaker 2: he posted it. It's like intentional. But I and I
- 17:35Speaker 2: think that, yeah, maybe maybe he's like stirring up a
- 17:38Speaker 2: little drama. Maybe he's sturning up a little bit of teams.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Sure. The question you have to ask is did he
- 17:44Speaker 3: do it to hurt Caitlin to get her attention.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Again, No, he did it for sympathy for himself.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Okay, and in a lot of ways, I say, okay,
- 17:55Speaker 3: and what we told what I told Caitlyn and I'll
- 17:57Speaker 3: share this publicly, was you know, nobody cares about this
- 18:01Speaker 3: more than you do. Like I know, it feels like
- 18:03Speaker 3: the world cares so much and they're losing sleep over
- 18:06Speaker 3: this relationship and this breakup. Truth is nobody is like
- 18:10Speaker 3: at this point, Yeah, everybody's you know, everybody's moved on,
- 18:13Speaker 3: and so just just ignore the stuff that frustrates you
- 18:17Speaker 3: and ignore the things that come out that you're that
- 18:21Speaker 3: you're kind of like irritated by because you have to
- 18:25Speaker 3: move on. You have to move on, and they will,
- 18:30Speaker 3: they will, They'll move on. They're doing I mean, Caitlyn
- 18:32Speaker 3: seems Caitlyn seemed really good this week, and she was
- 18:35Speaker 3: just a lot of fun. I know she's she feels
- 18:38Speaker 3: like the world's coming down around here, probably at least
- 18:40Speaker 3: that's what it seems like from her podcast. But she's
- 18:44Speaker 3: holding up.
- 18:45Speaker 2: She is.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Okay. Last headline not a fun one, not one that
- 19:00Speaker 3: I'm enjoying talking about, but it is a big headline
- 19:03Speaker 3: in Bachelor Nation. We were waiting for it. We told
- 19:07Speaker 3: you that we would talk about it once we got
- 19:11Speaker 3: clarification on it. The Bachelorett's Rachel Lindsay breaks her silence
- 19:16Speaker 3: after Brian filed for the divorce.
- 19:21Speaker 2: So she waited to get on her podcast to talk
- 19:24Speaker 2: about it. She said, I didn't think I would get emotional.
- 19:27Speaker 2: First off, I just want to say thank you for
- 19:28Speaker 2: the people who reached out. I'm still trying to reply
- 19:31Speaker 2: to people. You never know how great your circle is
- 19:34Speaker 2: until you see all the people that reach out to
- 19:36Speaker 2: you and love you. Said. Obviously, it's a difficult time.
- 19:40Speaker 2: If you've read the headlines, you probably are wondering why
- 19:42Speaker 2: I would even work, But to be honest with you,
- 19:44Speaker 2: I need to distract myself from myself, and the best
- 19:47Speaker 2: way I do that is doing something that I love
- 19:48Speaker 2: and I love higher learning the podcast and she said
- 19:52Speaker 2: that she's not going to get into details of the
- 19:53Speaker 2: divorce right now, said I will eventually, but now is
- 19:58Speaker 2: not the time. I'm just trying to take it day
- 20:00Speaker 2: by day.
- 20:01Speaker 3: So she is obviously speaking on our platforms. There's I mean,
- 20:06Speaker 3: she's it seems oaked over, simplified, but there's just a
- 20:09Speaker 3: lot of pain obviously in the situation.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Really sad this.
- 20:14Speaker 3: You know, maybe this would be like a unfair statement
- 20:20Speaker 3: for me, but it's what I'm feeling right now. Is
- 20:22Speaker 3: I'm going to say it talking about Kayln Jason. You know,
- 20:26Speaker 3: I don't love it, Like it's not great that they
- 20:28Speaker 3: broke up, but it's been a couple of weeks now
- 20:29Speaker 3: like they're both moving on. It's obviously they're functioning. It
- 20:34Speaker 3: was a breakup. We didn't want to see it happen.
- 20:36Speaker 3: We were sad that they broke up because we liked
- 20:38Speaker 3: them as a couple. But they broke up. Okay, they
- 20:40Speaker 3: broke up. They're good.
- 20:41Speaker 2: We weren't married. I do think that there's a different things.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Everybody has a breakup in our life, right this one
- 20:47Speaker 3: just feels like I don't like when I saw this headline,
- 20:51Speaker 3: and again because Rachel's breaking her silence, it is something
- 20:54Speaker 3: we need to speak about because we told people we
- 20:57Speaker 3: would or at least fall along. I just don't like
- 21:00Speaker 3: to talk about. It's just not something I'm like, it's
- 21:03Speaker 3: just not something that I'm like even comfortable talking about
- 21:06Speaker 3: because there's a lot of stuff here behind the scenes
- 21:09Speaker 3: that you and I both don't know that is obviously
- 21:12Speaker 3: existing and happening. Who we can't even say, hey, like, yes,
- 21:18Speaker 3: this we saw this coming. No, we didn't know. We
- 21:19Speaker 3: had no clue other than that.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Random but what we thought was about.
- 21:27Speaker 3: What we thought was about it was actually some type
- 21:29Speaker 3: of fortune teller. So we'll just leave it with their words.
- 21:34Speaker 3: I think with Rachel's words here is that it's very emotional.
- 21:37Speaker 3: It's a hard time. It's you know, this isn't something
- 21:39Speaker 3: that anybody was wishing or wanting when you enter into this.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Real it feels a little less mutual than uh you'd want.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Just feels icky to talk about, but that's what we have.
- 21:50Speaker 3: We have Rachel's statement on her Higher Learning podcast, we
- 21:53Speaker 3: have Brian's obviously statement on Instagram, and then the fact
- 21:57Speaker 3: that he did file these divorce papers. That's what we
- 21:59Speaker 3: know right now. We don't know where it will go
- 22:01Speaker 3: from here. We'll continue to keep you up there.
- 22:03Speaker 2: So we know that Rachel is going to talk about
- 22:04Speaker 2: it eventually.
- 22:05Speaker 3: She says, so, yeah, well, when she does, we'll be
- 22:08Speaker 3: talking about it here. Then during the almost famous headlines,
- 22:11Speaker 3: final fun headline, this incredible little I don't even know
- 22:16Speaker 3: if it's little. I have no clue how big it is.
- 22:18Speaker 3: But this dog shelter did this really fun thing. They
- 22:24Speaker 3: name dogs their next round of adoptees after Bachelor contestants.
- 22:31Speaker 3: It's called Waldo's Rescue. I have a dog here, you
- 22:36Speaker 3: do have a dog. I have a dog. He's cue.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Kena looks like waiting.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Then, oh my gosh, that's so cute. Okay, So I
- 22:41Speaker 2: only got a screenshot this morning. Jill Chen she texted me,
- 22:45Speaker 2: she was like, you have a dog named after you
- 22:47Speaker 2: on Petfinder. So all I have is the screenshot. It's me,
- 22:50Speaker 2: Jesse Palmer and Emily Maynard on this screenshot. So that's
- 22:54Speaker 2: so cool that you have one too.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Yeah, So Matt James has one, Caitlin Bristow, we have
- 23:00Speaker 3: one for kat Olivia Creedy has one, Gary has one.
- 23:04Speaker 3: I have one. Ali Fittotowski beca Tilly, Jordan Rogers, Katie Thurston.
- 23:12Speaker 3: That's all I see on here. I'm sure there's more.
- 23:15Speaker 3: That just started a separate post here, so.
- 23:17Speaker 2: We all have to share this so that these doggies
- 23:20Speaker 2: get adopted.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Yeah, get Ben Higgins adopted. He needs love more than
- 23:25Speaker 3: most reality. Steve also has one, which is wild. They're
- 23:29Speaker 3: just really going all out here, and I think maybe
- 23:32Speaker 3: one of the hopes here's something I do know. I
- 23:34Speaker 3: hope I'm not over sharing. But I got a message
- 23:38Speaker 3: from Olivia Creedy, who was on Season twenty of The Bachelor.
- 23:43Speaker 3: She says this the rescue I adopted my dog from
- 23:46Speaker 3: just did a transport of dogs from Georgia and they
- 23:49Speaker 3: named one after you. She was also asking if I
- 23:52Speaker 3: was willing to share, and of course I was. You
- 23:54Speaker 3: can see it on my Instagram. I think it's super cute,
- 23:57Speaker 3: super fun. Go check them out. You just like looking
- 24:00Speaker 3: at dogs. It's worth it, and Ben Higgins is the cutest.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Okay, I'm going to go look on your Instagram and
- 24:06Speaker 2: see what your dog looks like. Oh, they're also in
- 24:08Speaker 2: They're New York and in southern California.
- 24:10Speaker 3: Okay, so that's Olivia is in New York. So I'm
- 24:13Speaker 3: assuming she adopted from the New York shelter. Anyways, we'll
- 24:17Speaker 3: be back a lot of episodes for you. We're going
- 24:19Speaker 3: to keep putting out episodes from the Golden Wedding. We
- 24:22Speaker 3: did a lot of interviews there, both Ashley, myself and
- 24:25Speaker 3: Trista kind of breaking down our thoughts on the wedding.
- 24:28Speaker 3: We got to talk to Leslie of course, on her
- 24:31Speaker 3: thoughts on being there. We also got to talk to
- 24:33Speaker 3: Susan and Joan, both names that are getting thrown around
- 24:37Speaker 3: in addition to Leslie for the Golden Bachelor appe. Also,
