- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's Best Music is A nine.
- 0:05Speaker 2: And welcome to another episode of the Scotting Abby Unfiltered
- 0:08Speaker 2: Podcast when thank you for the reviews, the ratings, the
- 0:11Speaker 2: five stars. There's been a couple updates from the last
- 0:14Speaker 2: episode that we had to get to because of what
- 0:17Speaker 2: has been going on with the dating apps, and so honestly,
- 0:20Speaker 2: this whole podcast is because of my curiosity because you
- 0:22Speaker 2: said something earlier Abby that I'm like, I'm not gonna
- 0:24Speaker 2: be able to wait an entire day before airing what
- 0:27Speaker 2: has happened. So what's the recap on this dude from
- 0:32Speaker 2: where Ireland has a Scottish.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Aca, Like, where even is Ireland?
- 0:36Speaker 3: Who is this guy? What's up with the updates?
- 0:38Speaker 2: So?
- 0:38Speaker 1: I matched with this guy over the weekend and it's
- 0:41Speaker 1: so crazy because I literally re downloaded them on Friday
- 0:45Speaker 1: and then match with the sky Saturday. I wasn't even
- 0:48Speaker 1: in Tampa Saturday. I was flying to Nashville that night
- 0:51Speaker 1: just to see a friend. And we were just like
- 0:53Speaker 1: having like a very casual back and forth. We maybe
- 0:55Speaker 1: exchanged like five messages and it was very much just
- 0:58Speaker 1: like how are you his? Hingea? And so when I
- 1:02Speaker 1: get to Nashville, he ends up sending me this voice memo.
- 1:05Speaker 1: And so because he sent me the voice memo, I
- 1:07Speaker 1: couldn't listen to it because I was out at the bars.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I'm like, Okay, I'm gonna listen to this when I
- 1:11Speaker 1: have the availability. So I get home from the bars,
- 1:13Speaker 1: I listened to it, and he's like, I would love
- 1:16Speaker 1: to take you out later this week, but I'm in
- 1:17Speaker 1: Nashville right now. And I'm like, that's so weird because
- 1:23Speaker 1: I'm in Nashville right now, and I'm like in Nashville
- 1:27Speaker 1: in such a weird coincidence that I'm sitting there. I'm like,
- 1:29Speaker 1: there's no way that this guy's actually in Nashville. And
- 1:32Speaker 1: so I just messaged him back. I'm like, that's so crazy.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I'm also in Nashville. And then we start talking about
- 1:36Speaker 1: what flight we're on. He says he's on my flight.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I'm like, that's so crazy, and he's like chatting me up.
- 1:41Speaker 1: He's like, oh my god, first date on the plane.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna send you snacks, all the things, blah blah blah,
- 1:45Speaker 1: and I go, oh my god, like I'm literally about
- 1:47Speaker 1: to meet this guy, Like this is the greatest meet
- 1:50Speaker 1: cute I've ever heard this is the cutest story I
- 1:53Speaker 1: have ever heard.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I literally like the jean jacket I'm wearing right now
- 1:56Speaker 1: I got in Nashville because I'm like, I don't have
- 1:58Speaker 1: an outfit, like what am I supposed to wear? So
- 2:00Speaker 1: to find a jacket that to make me like look
- 2:01Speaker 1: somewhat decent. So I end up going to the airport.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I had sent him a message like thirty minutes before
- 2:08Speaker 1: I got to the airport about like coffee or something
- 2:10Speaker 1: in Tampa, just something innocuous, and he didn't respond, which
- 2:15Speaker 1: was like whatever. I'm like, Oh, I'll probably see him
- 2:17Speaker 1: at the airport. We're gonna be on the same metal
- 2:18Speaker 1: tube in the sky. Yeah, And in the back of
- 2:22Speaker 1: my mind, I'm like, I kind of feel like he's lying,
- 2:26Speaker 1: but I can't quite put my finger on it, because
- 2:30Speaker 1: you would never do that, because what a specific lie,
- 2:34Speaker 1: do you know what I mean? Like a weird lie
- 2:36Speaker 1: and a lie that you know you could get caught
- 2:39Speaker 1: on very like immediately No, I show up to the airport,
- 2:43Speaker 1: I kind of just do like a general like glance around.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I don't see him. But it's also one of the
- 2:48Speaker 1: busiest airports in the country. I get on the flight
- 2:50Speaker 1: I kind of look around. I don't see him, but
- 2:52Speaker 1: it's also an airplane. He's ten rows back. So I
- 2:56Speaker 1: sit down and I'm kind of like pissed, and at
- 2:59Speaker 1: one point we hit turber or something. I'm like, fuck it,
- 3:01Speaker 1: if this plane goes down, he'd answer, So I text
- 3:04Speaker 1: him and I just said where the snacks at or
- 3:07Speaker 1: something like that, and he immediately texted back and it
- 3:09Speaker 1: was something nice and very friendly, and I'm like, oh, okay,
- 3:11Speaker 1: Like I wonder if we're gonna, like, I don't know,
- 3:14Speaker 1: we see each other at the airport, yeah, like your
- 3:16Speaker 1: hopes are there. You're like, oh my god, how cute
- 3:18Speaker 1: would this be? You could be right behind me Allegedly
- 3:20Speaker 1: you're ten feet behind me, and your flirt game is good,
- 3:23Speaker 1: and the flirt game is good. I'm like, this just
- 3:24Speaker 1: seems like the obvious thing is to just be like, hey, hey, hey, hey,
- 3:28Speaker 1: here's a snack. So anyway, I'm on the plane, I
- 3:32Speaker 1: say something back and then we land. I kind of like, again,
- 3:35Speaker 1: do another look back. As I'm getting off the plane.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I don't see anybody, but I also kind of don't
- 3:39Speaker 1: really want to, like I'm like scared to see him. Yeah,
- 3:41Speaker 1: do you know what I mean, Like, I'm like, what
- 3:42Speaker 1: am I gonna do if I see him? I'm just
- 3:44Speaker 1: like hey. So then I get off the plane and
- 3:47Speaker 1: I'm kind of looking around. I'm gonna see if like
- 3:49Speaker 1: he's getting off the plane with me. I don't see
- 3:51Speaker 1: a guy get off the plane. And also in Tampa,
- 3:54Speaker 1: you have to get on the plane train to get
- 3:56Speaker 1: to get back to the to the mainland. He's not
- 3:59Speaker 1: on the plane train with me. Again, doesn't mean he
- 4:02Speaker 1: wasn't on the plane, but the whole thing just feels
- 4:05Speaker 1: weird because then he doesn't text me for the rest
- 4:07Speaker 1: of the night, and so I'm fully thinking he knows
- 4:09Speaker 1: he got caught. He knows this is weird as hell.
- 4:12Speaker 1: He like, this is not a thing like I'm getting
- 4:15Speaker 1: catfished by some dude in Idaho. Yeah. Yeah, it's like
- 4:18Speaker 1: the same guy that we had.
- 4:20Speaker 2: But it's like, you know, at the same time we
- 4:21Speaker 2: talked about like how how effed up is that?
- 4:24Speaker 1: Like, let me get your hopes up.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Let me make this whole tire story come to life
- 4:28Speaker 2: where you think I'm behind you, cause I think what
- 4:30Speaker 2: a lot of guys forget And I had to learn
- 4:32Speaker 2: this lesson so hard in like middle school. It's like
- 4:34Speaker 2: you don't realize how much effort the other person on
- 4:37Speaker 2: the other end of that conversation, how much effort they're
- 4:39Speaker 2: putting in. Yeah, Like when you're talking about how you
- 4:41Speaker 2: and Taylor are like getting ready and you're talking about
- 4:43Speaker 2: a new outfit and you're getting excited about the potential
- 4:46Speaker 2: of what this could turn into. That is raising someone's
- 4:49Speaker 2: hopes so high. Yeah, and then you just fall off
- 4:51Speaker 2: the face of the earth, like, sir, you just messed
- 4:54Speaker 2: like it's not even like a hah, that's a good one.
- 4:57Speaker 2: You effed up my psyche. Because now forever more in
- 5:00Speaker 2: my head, I'm like, all right, next time.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Somebody says that they're in the same city, I'm like,
- 5:03Speaker 1: send a pick. No, that's what I mean. And so
- 5:05Speaker 1: that's where I'm coming from, is like it feels so
- 5:07Speaker 1: good to be true that I'm like, did he happen
- 5:10Speaker 1: to listen to a podcast where I mentioned I was
- 5:12Speaker 1: going to be in Nashville? And I know that sounds crazy,
- 5:14Speaker 1: but like that has happened to me in the past.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Guys listened to the Bird show that I was on,
- 5:19Speaker 1: or they follow me on Instagram. They don't tell me
- 5:21Speaker 1: they follow me on Instagram and I like find out afterwards.
- 5:24Speaker 1: So all this is coming from a place of I'm
- 5:27Speaker 1: a public enough person correct that if this guy's a
- 5:29Speaker 1: weirdo on the internet, he could find out that I
- 5:32Speaker 1: was in Nashville and then just like mess with my
- 5:34Speaker 1: feelings or think that it's going to like make me
- 5:37Speaker 1: like him more. And it's just I'm just starting to
- 5:39Speaker 1: think this is weirdo behavior. If we're literally on the
- 5:41Speaker 1: same plane and we're not gonna like just say hi
- 5:45Speaker 1: to each other, like that to me is just like
- 5:47Speaker 1: not good social skills.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Oh, like let's just say cause I don't know. This
- 5:51Speaker 2: is the part of the side. I don't know what
- 5:52Speaker 2: happens afternoon.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I'm about to tell you, I know.
- 5:54Speaker 2: But in my head, I'm like, if he was on
- 5:56Speaker 2: the plane, like the mature man thing to do would
- 5:58Speaker 2: be like, oh my god, Well, then I'll get on
- 6:00Speaker 2: the terminal like train with you. Yeah, and we'll go
- 6:03Speaker 2: get a coffee at the airport and just have a conversation.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Like I will meet you there. It's uncomfortable because you're
- 6:07Speaker 2: all right meeting a stranger, but like you set up
- 6:09Speaker 2: the conversation. Yeah, that should be you taking the initiative, Like,
- 6:12Speaker 2: come on.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Dude, if he didn't want to see me on the plane,
- 6:14Speaker 1: he should have just And this is so funny. I
- 6:16Speaker 1: feel like I've said this several times. Just lie to me,
- 6:18Speaker 1: just in the right way. Just lie to me in
- 6:20Speaker 1: the right way, Like if you would feel really uncomfortable
- 6:22Speaker 1: seeing me at the airport, just lie. Yeah, don't tell
- 6:24Speaker 1: me that you're on the same plane. Don't tell me
- 6:26Speaker 1: they hear hide in the bathroom, because I again, I
- 6:29Speaker 1: literally didn't see him, so he could have never told
- 6:31Speaker 1: me he was on this flight, and I would have
- 6:32Speaker 1: no idea. So anyway, he never texts me for the
- 6:36Speaker 1: rest of the night, and I fully think that this
- 6:37Speaker 1: guy has just like pulled this crazy, weird lie on me,
- 6:41Speaker 1: which I know sounds it's about to sound crazy. I'm
- 6:44Speaker 1: already like I'm so the next day, I come in,
- 6:47Speaker 1: we record the podcast that you listened to yesterday. I'm
- 6:50Speaker 1: assuming if you're listening to it in order, and I
- 6:53Speaker 1: tell the story, and I'm just like so weird it
- 6:55Speaker 1: out because I'm like, this is so strange. Why would
- 6:59Speaker 1: a man about this? And if he didn't lie about it,
- 7:03Speaker 1: why would he avoid me? Like it's just weird to me,
- 7:06Speaker 1: Like the whole situation is bizarre. So literally, this story
- 7:11Speaker 1: is just so wild, the whole like the whole morning.
- 7:14Speaker 1: The whole morning, I'm thinking, should I unmatch with him
- 7:16Speaker 1: to prove a point? Do I confront him about how
- 7:19Speaker 1: weird this ise? I literally like had a couple of drafts,
- 7:23Speaker 1: like talking about it on TikTok. I'm like, I'm I
- 7:26Speaker 1: like want to I don't want to hurt hit you
- 7:28Speaker 1: where it hurts, but I'm like, it's so weird and
- 7:31Speaker 1: I feel so like manipulated. That's what I kept telling
- 7:34Speaker 1: my friend Taylor is like, I really hate it when
- 7:36Speaker 1: people think they can pull one over on me. Like
- 7:38Speaker 1: that's a big pet peeve of mine. And I feel
- 7:42Speaker 1: like this guy thinks he pulled one over on me,
- 7:43Speaker 1: and I think that's why I'm so bothered by it. Yeah,
- 7:46Speaker 1: So I'm thinking about it kind of intermittently throughout the morning,
- 7:52Speaker 1: and I'm I drive home from the office and I'm
- 7:55Speaker 1: literally looking at my hinge and I'm about to unmatch him.
- 8:00Speaker 1: And then my friend Taylor calls me and she's like, Hey,
- 8:03Speaker 1: have you heard from him? I'm like no, I'm like
- 8:05Speaker 1: I'm actually about to unmatch with him, and she goes, well,
- 8:08Speaker 1: what was the last thing you guys said? And I
- 8:10Speaker 1: went back to my Hinge match, and he sends something
- 8:14Speaker 1: literally within like that two minute span of like I'm
- 8:17Speaker 1: I'm about to press the out of match covering over
- 8:20Speaker 1: the unmatched. My friend Taylor calls me. She asked me
- 8:23Speaker 1: what the message says, and then I go back to
- 8:25Speaker 1: Hinge and a message had been sent from him. What
- 8:29Speaker 1: the hell? What isn't that crazy? So odd? It's just
- 8:33Speaker 1: the timing's so weird. The timing is so weird that
- 8:35Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, like something, I'm supposed to at least
- 8:39Speaker 1: go out with this guy, do you know what I mean? Yes, well, yes,
- 8:43Speaker 1: I'm supposed to at least go out with this dude.
- 8:44Speaker 1: So he messages me and let me see what he said.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it has to be good because from what we
- 8:51Speaker 2: have right now is that you got off the plane
- 8:53Speaker 2: and you never heard from him again.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Yes, that was it. And so now it's noon, it's
- 8:57Speaker 1: about eleven thirty.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Like a day, after a full twenty four hours.
- 9:00Speaker 1: The last message is we had before this point, So
- 9:03Speaker 1: like the airplane conversation, I said fourteen half, which was
- 9:06Speaker 1: my seat I said, is seriously lacking snacks. He sends
- 9:08Speaker 1: something back and then I said, damn getting whined and
- 9:10Speaker 1: dined already. And then nothing. So then the next day
- 9:14Speaker 1: he said, of course, hope you were recovering from Nashville,
- 9:17Speaker 1: and then he had the cowboy emoji, and I'm literally
- 9:20Speaker 1: on the phone with Taylor. I'm like, I don't even
- 9:21Speaker 1: know how to, like, what do you say? What do
- 9:23Speaker 1: I say? Because I'm like, I want to tell him
- 9:25Speaker 1: that I know he's not on the flight, because at
- 9:27Speaker 1: this point I'm one hundred percent commenced this guy's out
- 9:29Speaker 1: on the flight. I said, ha ha, probably doing a
- 9:31Speaker 1: bit better than you are. Did you miss the flight yesterday?
- 9:34Speaker 1: And he goes, ha ha, we were on the flight
- 9:36Speaker 1: all feeling a bit rough. And then the sick emoji
- 9:39Speaker 1: and I said, damn, you guys must have had invisibility
- 9:41Speaker 1: cloaks on the whole flight. Ha ha ha ha ha.
- 9:43Speaker 1: This is good right, this is also they're British, so
- 9:46Speaker 1: it like works. I'm like, huh, I hare Potter. So
- 9:49Speaker 1: then he says, I think everyone was just trying not
- 9:51Speaker 1: to be sick. I think I saw you, but I
- 9:53Speaker 1: wasn't sure. And I'm like rolling my eyes like this
- 9:54Speaker 1: is such bullshit, and so I sent him, I fear
- 9:57Speaker 1: you may have to redeem yourself after this one. Lol. Again,
- 10:01Speaker 1: I'm like, you weren't on the flight, Like there's no
- 10:03Speaker 1: reason you should have said something.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Yes, and like, okay, like just let me just take
- 10:08Speaker 2: a step back because I know it's flirting. But he
- 10:09Speaker 2: did say, like, oh, send you snacks. Did you ever
- 10:11Speaker 2: get snacks?
- 10:12Speaker 1: Well, I mean I got snacks, but like, yeah, he's
- 10:14Speaker 1: got abnormal snacks.
- 10:15Speaker 3: They didn't say, like, hey, this is by twenty two.
- 10:17Speaker 1: So the one thing, the one piece of evidence that
- 10:19Speaker 1: I'll give him a point for is when I sent
- 10:22Speaker 1: that the snack cart was literally about to come by.
- 10:25Speaker 1: And so I'm like, it is possible that he saw
- 10:29Speaker 1: the snack cart and like made that specific comment because
- 10:32Speaker 1: he saw the snack cart coming, and did he also
- 10:36Speaker 1: say and then he also said, they're gonna give you
- 10:37Speaker 1: pretzels in a drink, And to be fair, I did
- 10:39Speaker 1: get pretzels at a drink, but that's the American Airlines
- 10:41Speaker 1: sack of course, because okay, okay, that'd be actually cute. Yeah. Yeah,
- 10:46Speaker 1: So anyway, I said, what did I say? I said,
- 10:51Speaker 1: I fear you may have to redeem yourself after this one.
- 10:52Speaker 1: He said, ha ha, why so, And I said, I
- 10:54Speaker 1: don't know. I'm not saying I don't believe you, but
- 10:55Speaker 1: it's deaf giving sus.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Uh yeah, like why and again like why did you
- 11:00Speaker 2: just disappear?
- 11:01Speaker 1: Uh huh? Like why did we get off the plane?
- 11:03Speaker 1: And then nothing? Again? Yeah, That's what I mean is
- 11:05Speaker 1: if he had even like messaged me a little bit,
- 11:08Speaker 1: like if he had been messaging me while he was
- 11:10Speaker 1: at the airport, it would feel less weird to me.
- 11:12Speaker 1: But the fact that like I sent him a message
- 11:15Speaker 1: and then he didn't respond and wouldn't have said anything
- 11:19Speaker 1: unless I had said something on the plane is giving,
- 11:23Speaker 1: Like you're specifically avoiding me, yes, because you know I'm
- 11:26Speaker 1: on my flight right now.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Correct, That's why I understan you know where I am,
- 11:30Speaker 2: Like you could literally come say hello.
- 11:31Speaker 3: You can pap your head over the seat and.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Say hey, yeah, And I'm not even say he has
- 11:34Speaker 1: to do that. But it was just giving, sus. It
- 11:36Speaker 1: was just suspicious. So then he sends me a voice
- 11:38Speaker 1: memo and I can't remember specifically what this voice memo said.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I think it said something along the lines of I
- 11:45Speaker 1: was definitely on the plane. I thought I saw a
- 11:47Speaker 1: group of three girls, but I wasn't sure if it
- 11:51Speaker 1: was you or not. I can send you my boarding
- 11:53Speaker 1: pass or something, blah blah blah. And he seems a
- 11:54Speaker 1: little bit pissed. I'm not gonna lie in this voice memo,
- 11:57Speaker 1: and so then I felt kind of bad. And the
- 11:59Speaker 1: piece of evidence he gave me in this voice memo
- 12:02Speaker 1: that made me think, okay, maybe he was on this
- 12:04Speaker 1: flight was there were three other girls in my row
- 12:09Speaker 1: and they were sat down before me, and they were blonde.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Ah, shoot, dang it a good point.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Did they look anything like me?
- 12:17Speaker 3: No?
- 12:18Speaker 1: I mean not no, but no, do you know what
- 12:20Speaker 1: I mean? Like, you know, when you see someone and
- 12:22Speaker 1: you don't know what they look like in person, you go, well,
- 12:24Speaker 1: she's got blonde hair in that girl's tan and she
- 12:27Speaker 1: she looked kind of looks like her.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Yeah, like it's you know, you guys have only seen
- 12:31Speaker 3: each other's profile.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Yes, because I was on I was boarding group nine,
- 12:34Speaker 1: like I was one of the blouse people to board,
- 12:36Speaker 1: so it's possible they boarded before him. And he looked
- 12:40Speaker 1: at Roe fourteen and saw those three girls and thought
- 12:44Speaker 1: those that could be her friends, or that could be her, or.
- 12:48Speaker 2: He could have looked and seen who was coming on
- 12:50Speaker 2: the plane. He would have seen your face and been like,
- 12:51Speaker 2: match match, that's actually so true.
- 12:53Speaker 1: But I don't know. Was he talking to something? No, no, no,
- 12:55Speaker 1: we don't know.
- 12:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna try. Here's what I'm gonna do this. I'm
- 12:57Speaker 2: gonna try to give him the benefit of the doubt. Yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 2: I don't know where this goes. I just die And.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt too. So
- 13:04Speaker 1: he and also the tone of his voice was giving
- 13:06Speaker 1: much like this girl's crazy, which also, in a weird way,
- 13:10Speaker 1: made it more convincing because he must be like, why
- 13:12Speaker 1: would I lie about this? And I'm sitting here being like,
- 13:14Speaker 1: you have no idea what people are willing to lie about? Correct?
- 13:16Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean? That's what.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like understanding each other's past. You're like, I
- 13:20Speaker 2: don't know people have done weird shit. Yeah, I'm on guard.
- 13:22Speaker 1: So then I sent him a voice memo back because
- 13:25Speaker 1: now I'm feeling a little sheepish because now I'm like, fuck,
- 13:27Speaker 1: do I look crazy now? Being like I literally thought
- 13:32Speaker 1: you lied about being in Nashville and on the flight oh.
- 13:34Speaker 1: He also said, like, I sent you that message before
- 13:36Speaker 1: I even knew you were in Nashville. But he also
- 13:38Speaker 1: doesn't know about He might not know about my answerm,
- 13:41Speaker 1: he might not know about.
- 13:42Speaker 3: My broadcast benefit of the Doubt this episode.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Which I'm not saying I'm even assuming that he did.
- 13:47Speaker 1: But a lot of guys when they find out that
- 13:49Speaker 1: you do stuff like this, they will start listening because
- 13:51Speaker 1: they're curious. So it's not that I think, oh, he
- 13:53Speaker 1: knows the I am all the things. It's more of
- 13:55Speaker 1: like guys will go out of their way to find
- 13:57Speaker 1: stuff out about you. Understandably, girls do it too. Yeah,
- 14:00Speaker 1: And so then I sent him a voice memo back
- 14:02Speaker 1: and I said, yeah, I just thought it was weird, like,
- 14:06Speaker 1: you know, you just so happened to be in Nashville
- 14:08Speaker 1: and you just so happened to be on my flight,
- 14:09Speaker 1: and I didn't really like hear from you. Just felt
- 14:11Speaker 1: a little weird. I felt like maybe some guy was
- 14:13Speaker 1: like just cafishing meat for fun. But like if you
- 14:16Speaker 1: were on the flight, now we've just fumbled the greatest
- 14:19Speaker 1: meet cute of all time.
- 14:20Speaker 3: That's a great response.
- 14:21Speaker 1: That's literally That's what I was trying to end it
- 14:23Speaker 1: on a high. I'm like, listen, I just thought it
- 14:25Speaker 1: was weird. I'm not accusing you, but like, you win Mia.
- 14:30Speaker 1: But I'm trying not to say you went MIA because
- 14:32Speaker 1: I don't want it to seem like where are you?
- 14:34Speaker 1: Why didn't you message me? I'm just saying it felt
- 14:36Speaker 1: weird because you went MIA.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Yeah, And I don't think that's asking too much from
- 14:39Speaker 2: a guy that's literally trying to meet you. It's like, yo, bro,
- 14:42Speaker 2: I'm just and like I again, I'm not perfect at all.
- 14:46Speaker 2: I just think, like, when I could look at it
- 14:47Speaker 2: in this perspective, I say, well, sir, don't get a
- 14:50Speaker 2: don't get all offensive. This is not the time to
- 14:52Speaker 2: get offensive. Yeah, like, understand that the person over here
- 14:54Speaker 2: has feelings and they're just trying to really feel Like,
- 14:57Speaker 2: how do I not get bamboozled? Yeah, that's the possition,
- 15:00Speaker 2: and I don't want to be in Yeah. No, nobody
- 15:02Speaker 2: wants to be boozled.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Don't boozle me. So I sent him that voice memo
- 15:08Speaker 1: and then he sends me another one back, and he
- 15:10Speaker 1: also equally sounds kind of peeved. And what did he
- 15:14Speaker 1: say in the next one? He said, this is what
- 15:17Speaker 1: bothered me. This is what I'll tell you. What I'll
- 15:20Speaker 1: mention bothered me. I can't remember what he fully said.
- 15:22Speaker 1: He was like, yeah, no, like I sent the Nashville
- 15:24Speaker 1: thing before I even knew you were in Nashville, blah
- 15:26Speaker 1: blah blah. And then at the very end, do you
- 15:28Speaker 1: need to do something?
- 15:29Speaker 2: No, I'm just stileting some stuff. So fall on time
- 15:32Speaker 2: of the show go ahead. I'm listening.
- 15:35Speaker 1: What bothered me is he said something like, oh, yeah,
- 15:40Speaker 1: we just we definitely couldn't have couldn't have met on
- 15:42Speaker 1: the plane or something like that, very much like it
- 15:45Speaker 1: was giving like we weren't going to meet on the plane,
- 15:47Speaker 1: like we weren't going to meet at the airport, which
- 15:48Speaker 1: made me then feel like such a loser because the
- 15:51Speaker 1: whole time he's like, yeah, say he's saying all these things,
- 15:55Speaker 1: He's like, oh my god, like I'm going to send
- 15:56Speaker 1: you all these like he's like flirting with me as
- 15:58Speaker 1: if we're literally going to meet at the airport. So
- 16:00Speaker 1: you set it up to sound like that, yeah, and
- 16:01Speaker 1: so like of course when you say all that we're
- 16:03Speaker 1: literally gonna be on the on the plane, I'm like, yeah,
- 16:05Speaker 1: like of course we're going to see each other. So
- 16:06Speaker 1: then when when you go in I A and then
- 16:09Speaker 1: you basically say like, no, we weren't gonna meet on
- 16:11Speaker 1: the plane, like we couldn't do that, that made me
- 16:13Speaker 1: feel dumb. Now I feel so dumb. But at the
- 16:16Speaker 1: same so now I'm just sitting here like I don't
- 16:18Speaker 1: even really know where to go from here. Oh and
- 16:20Speaker 1: the other thing, I did not like that he said
- 16:21Speaker 1: It felt a little bit like I don't think he
- 16:24Speaker 1: was trying to be belittling, but I'm like, I'm not
- 16:25Speaker 1: trying to be one of those girls that's like I
- 16:27Speaker 1: have so much relingdon Jim drama and you don't know.
- 16:30Speaker 1: But he had opened up the message by saying, like,
- 16:32Speaker 1: I'm so sorry you've been through those traumatic experiences. I'm like,
- 16:34Speaker 1: they're not traumatic. I just like, I'm just trying to
- 16:38Speaker 1: make sure you're you are who you say you are,
- 16:40Speaker 1: and you do what you say that you do.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's gonna make a lot more sense for
- 16:44Speaker 2: him once he understands.
- 16:45Speaker 3: What you do.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I completely agree. And so I went back and forth
- 16:49Speaker 1: about whether or not I wanted to say that, because
- 16:51Speaker 1: I also didn't want to give him permission to find me,
- 16:53Speaker 1: because I'm like, if you don't know anything about me,
- 16:55Speaker 1: I would prefer that. Yeah, but at least let us
- 16:58Speaker 1: meet in person first. That'd be great. But I also
- 17:00Speaker 1: think it makes my situation make more sense if you
- 17:03Speaker 1: know that I have a public Instagram and I posted
- 17:07Speaker 1: that I was in Nashville at some point. I definitely
- 17:09Speaker 1: said I was going to Nashville at some point, like
- 17:11Speaker 1: once or twice on the podcast and on air, and
- 17:15Speaker 1: so I'm like, you just never know. I mean, I
- 17:16Speaker 1: had somebody like my profile yesterday that said that they
- 17:18Speaker 1: were a big fan of Unfiltered, and I was like,
- 17:20Speaker 1: oh my god, I didn't realize people were listening.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you for listening. We need this.
- 17:24Speaker 1: So anyway, I just sent to my message back and
- 17:25Speaker 1: I said, lol, traumatic is pushing it, but yeah, there's
- 17:27Speaker 1: some real weirdos out there. And then he said people
- 17:30Speaker 1: like me lying about being in Nashville with the broken
- 17:32Speaker 1: heart emoji. Ah, And then I said, almost added you
- 17:36Speaker 1: to my list of Hinge horror stories for real, and
- 17:38Speaker 1: then he said time will tell E's emoji and then
- 17:41Speaker 1: I haven't responded yet.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Well now, okay, so again the ball still is in
- 17:45Speaker 2: his court, Like now, sir, just ask me out at
- 17:47Speaker 2: this point, correct, like, just make the move, let's go.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Because in person then, honestly, that's kind of cute to
- 17:52Speaker 2: be able to talk about those things and say.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Like here's why, like this is why. You know.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I know it sounds crazy over a message, but here's
- 17:59Speaker 2: what's going through my head.
- 18:00Speaker 1: And he should understand that. I that's what I don't
- 18:02Speaker 1: understand because every single girl I brought it up to,
- 18:05Speaker 1: including you, So Scotty's one of the girls. I'm ladies,
- 18:08Speaker 1: including you, every person has thought it's weird. Correct. I
- 18:12Speaker 1: have not had a single person go well, like I
- 18:15Speaker 1: think he probably was on the flight. Every single person was,
- 18:18Speaker 1: oh yeah, he was not on that flight. On that flight,
- 18:20Speaker 1: and you know what, we have a mutual friend. Did
- 18:23Speaker 1: I tell you the one person that follows, because I
- 18:24Speaker 1: did find his Instagram because I was like, let me
- 18:26Speaker 1: see if he posted yours in Nashville. Oh no, I
- 18:28Speaker 1: don't remember who you told me. So your girlfriend's very
- 18:33Speaker 1: very very close friend matched with him on hinge. Oh okay,
- 18:39Speaker 1: And so I messaged her in the middle of all
- 18:41Speaker 1: this and I said, hey, this is crazy, and I
- 18:47Speaker 1: I was like, I recognize that the crazy switches flipped
- 18:50Speaker 1: in my head and I've gone like full psycho mode.
- 18:52Speaker 1: But I'm like, do you know this guy, Like can
- 18:55Speaker 1: you cause I'm hoping she can just say, oh yeah,
- 18:57Speaker 1: like I interviewed him once. He seems like a normal dude,
- 18:59Speaker 1: but she said that they matched on hinge and must
- 19:01Speaker 1: have just like never gone out. Oh, so I'm wondering.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I'm like, does this guy just like is this just
- 19:07Speaker 1: a sport? You know what I mean? Like, because that's
- 19:09Speaker 1: what I was kind of getting out with the whole.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I think he's lying. Like I think a lot of
- 19:12Speaker 1: guys just go on just to like get attention from
- 19:15Speaker 1: girls whatever for whatever reason. And so that's what I
- 19:19Speaker 1: mean is so if he is a totally normal dude,
- 19:22Speaker 1: he might just be like why would I lie about that?
- 19:24Speaker 1: But I'm like, they are literally guys I would lie
- 19:26Speaker 1: about that shit just so they could like get a
- 19:28Speaker 1: girl like amped up and make her interested in talking
- 19:31Speaker 1: to you and all the things and blah blah blah
- 19:32Speaker 1: blah blah.
- 19:33Speaker 2: That's why I say, like, don't get defence, bro, Like
- 19:34Speaker 2: it's just like this happens to people. Yeah, And so
- 19:37Speaker 2: especially when we get to it sounds so weird, but
- 19:39Speaker 2: like you know now that we're like twenty nine. Yeah,
- 19:42Speaker 2: you've gone through different scenarios that have built that. Like
- 19:44Speaker 2: if you're talking to somebody that's twenty one, they might
- 19:47Speaker 2: not have had these weird moments, like because all they've
- 19:49Speaker 2: known is like little college stories.
- 19:50Speaker 1: It's just like when we were talking to Miranda, is
- 19:52Speaker 1: like the difference between you dating now and you dating
- 19:55Speaker 1: and after twenty five or when you get to my age,
- 19:57Speaker 1: it is completely different. Even when it comes to something
- 20:00Speaker 1: simple like when she was talking about the texting thing,
- 20:02Speaker 1: She's like, it's been an hour, isn't texting me back?
- 20:04Speaker 1: I'm like, that's like objectively normal. But if you come
- 20:09Speaker 1: from an environment like college where people are constantly on
- 20:11Speaker 1: their phones, like yeah, you are going to think it's
- 20:13Speaker 1: weird if it's been an hour. So anyway, that's the update.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm going to say back. I
- 20:19Speaker 1: don't know if I'm going to respond because I'm like,
- 20:21Speaker 1: am I just spinning my reels at this point? But
- 20:23Speaker 1: the amount of weird coincidences that is lined up with
- 20:27Speaker 1: the story that I feel like the univers like just
- 20:29Speaker 1: go meet him, like just goes.
- 20:30Speaker 2: I agree, like, and as I'm hearing this, I'm like,
- 20:33Speaker 2: I want to least see a meetup, and.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Honestly, I want proof he was on that fucking plate.
- 20:38Speaker 3: I mean, I don't think you're I don't think that
- 20:40Speaker 3: is asking for too much.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I want to see the boarder pass and I want
- 20:42Speaker 1: to see photos of his trip. I'm like, I'm determined
- 20:46Speaker 1: to get him drunk and to get him to admit
- 20:48Speaker 1: that he was not in Nashville. Damn. So are you okay?
- 20:51Speaker 2: So if we're just to say right now, whether you
- 20:53Speaker 2: think he was or wasn't, do you still think he.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Wasn't on that I am now now I'm almost more
- 20:58Speaker 1: mad because now I do think he was on the flight,
- 21:00Speaker 1: And you're like, and the only reason I say that,
- 21:02Speaker 1: the only piece of evidence that I'm like, I think
- 21:04Speaker 1: he might have been on the flight was the tone
- 21:06Speaker 1: in his voice of him like kind of being like exasperated,
- 21:09Speaker 1: being like, I don't really know how to explain to
- 21:11Speaker 1: you that I was on the plane, because I think
- 21:13Speaker 1: a guy maybe trying to shmooz me would have been like,
- 21:16Speaker 1: you know, we were just so sick, whereas he was like, yeah,
- 21:18Speaker 1: I saw three girls. I thought they were you. But
- 21:20Speaker 1: I'm like you did see three girls, and there were
- 21:22Speaker 1: three girls in my roe.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Specifically, Okay, in that case, I'm gonna say he was
- 21:26Speaker 2: on the flight.
- 21:27Speaker 1: That's that's the only thing that I was like, Fuck,
- 21:29Speaker 1: maybe he was in the flight once again, but you're
- 21:31Speaker 1: still allowed to feel like, okay, like we had this
- 21:34Speaker 1: whole conversation about the flight, like make the initiative. Yeah, no,
- 21:37Speaker 1: and again I if I.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Put myself in his shoes, Like that's also very nerve wracking,
- 21:41Speaker 2: like it to be like how would it go say
- 21:43Speaker 2: hello to a random girl?
- 21:44Speaker 1: And so fair. I totally get it, but you also
- 21:49Speaker 1: didn't need to. Like the flirting about being on the
- 21:54Speaker 1: plane together does put you now in a weird scenario
- 21:58Speaker 1: to then ignore me on the plane?
- 22:00Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 22:00Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean?
- 22:01Speaker 2: It feels like I can think back to like high
- 22:03Speaker 2: school or middle school. It's like you text all day,
- 22:05Speaker 2: but like you just you know, delicate, like God, I
- 22:08Speaker 2: don't want to look at you.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I'm nervous. Yeah, And so I get that because I
- 22:11Speaker 1: admittedly when I was on the plane, like I was
- 22:13Speaker 1: a little bit nervous to see him a but also
- 22:16Speaker 1: like I wanted to know that he was on the plane,
- 22:18Speaker 1: but I didn't want him to see me looking for him,
- 22:21Speaker 1: because I was like, fuck, what if we do see
- 22:22Speaker 1: each other? And then it's like just like an objectively
- 22:26Speaker 1: unflattering place to meet somebody. But what he should have
- 22:30Speaker 1: done if I was coaching him through this, instead of
- 22:33Speaker 1: like making all these flirtatious comments about being on the
- 22:36Speaker 1: plane together, he should have just said, like, I have
- 22:38Speaker 1: to be completely honest with you. The thought of meeting
- 22:41Speaker 1: you on this plane is horrifying because I'm so hungover? Yes, yes,
- 22:46Speaker 1: how would you feel about getting drinks some monday? Can
- 22:49Speaker 1: we That's what he should have done im in like,
- 22:52Speaker 1: just give me the honest, earnest answer instead of being like,
- 22:55Speaker 1: oh my god, like I hope we're sitting next to
- 22:57Speaker 1: each other, Like that's okay, let me run it back,
- 23:00Speaker 1: because the exact words he used to me were fingers crossed,
- 23:05Speaker 1: were sitting next to each other? What seed are you in?
- 23:08Speaker 1: You're asking me all of these hyper specific questions about
- 23:11Speaker 1: the about the plane and being like and literally saying
- 23:14Speaker 1: fingers cross were sitting next to each other, and then
- 23:17Speaker 1: I'm supposed to sound crazy for wanting to meet you
- 23:21Speaker 1: on said flights. I'm like this guy wants to meet me.
- 23:25Speaker 1: This guy that liked me on a dating app and
- 23:28Speaker 1: says he wants to date me then doesn't want to
- 23:30Speaker 1: date me in person. It really doesn't I know, I'm
- 23:34Speaker 1: not crazy, right.
- 23:36Speaker 2: No, you're not crazy at all, especially with that kind
- 23:38Speaker 2: of flirting. Yes, I hope he lives up to it
- 23:40Speaker 2: in person.
- 23:41Speaker 1: That's what I mean is like, if you didn't want
- 23:43Speaker 1: to see me, you seem to say, like, listen, I
- 23:47Speaker 1: am pete gremlin right now. We've been binge drinking for
- 23:50Speaker 1: four days. Please pretend you don't see me.
- 23:53Speaker 3: If you see me, if you see me, you don't
- 23:55Speaker 3: actually see me.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Like.
- 23:56Speaker 2: That's the part that I think as I've gotten older,
- 23:58Speaker 2: I've learned is like just beyond yes, like as honest
- 24:01Speaker 2: as you can be, as quick as you can.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Be, And the way to pivot from that, if like
- 24:04Speaker 1: you didn't want to seem sketchy or weird, you could
- 24:06Speaker 1: have just said, let's make plans for coffee or a
- 24:09Speaker 1: drink later this week. But like, yeah, it's kind of
- 24:13Speaker 1: my worst nightmare thinking about a girl meeting me in
- 24:15Speaker 1: this state right now. Yeah exactly.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Then you're like, oh, completely understandable, And now your guards
- 24:20Speaker 2: like go I know.
- 24:20Speaker 1: I'm like, so fair because I also had a horrible
- 24:23Speaker 1: plane outfit. I didn't want him to see me in
- 24:25Speaker 1: my Thomas Rhett concert t shirt, my doctor shoals, white
- 24:30Speaker 1: sneakers and my spray tand stained leggings like that was
- 24:34Speaker 1: not the fit I had planned. And instead I'm like,
- 24:37Speaker 1: oh fuck, I gotta figure it out. This guy says
- 24:39Speaker 1: he wants to sit next to me on the plane.
- 24:40Speaker 2: He's talking about crossing fingers and sitting right next to me, Like,
- 24:42Speaker 2: what if that would have happened? Sir?
- 24:44Speaker 1: Literally, I'm like I hadn't had chosen. I actually had
- 24:47Speaker 1: bought my seat the day of the flight because I'm like,
- 24:49Speaker 1: I don't want to spend the extra money. And then
- 24:51Speaker 1: I started getting anxiety about being on the plane for
- 24:53Speaker 1: that long and having to maybe be in like a
- 24:54Speaker 1: middle seat or something so used by it. So I'm like,
- 24:56Speaker 1: I could have very well been sat next to him.
- 24:58Speaker 1: That would have been not It has been so funny.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Did you see anybody by chance that sort of look
- 25:03Speaker 2: like him that you're like maybe?
- 25:05Speaker 1: So I saw a group of guys sitting at like
- 25:08Speaker 1: this food court area right near the gate, and so
- 25:11Speaker 1: I kind of thought maybe that was him and his
- 25:13Speaker 1: friend group, and so there was an open seat by them,
- 25:15Speaker 1: so I sat there, but I eves dropped and I
- 25:18Speaker 1: didn't hear an Irish accent. So and she's also sent
- 25:22Speaker 1: me all these voice memos, so I'm like, I know
- 25:24Speaker 1: what his voice sounds like.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Yeah, so I really Here's like, my biggest prayer is
- 25:30Speaker 2: that this man is not playing games. It's just been
- 25:33Speaker 2: a weird like series of miscommunications and misunderstandings.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Because sir, you are in a hole right now, uh huh.
- 25:41Speaker 2: And it's honestly, like, here's the good thing, Like there
- 25:44Speaker 2: is a ladder in the hole, like you could just
- 25:45Speaker 2: simply just climb out and be.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Like do do digit do, Let's get it to go ahead
- 25:49Speaker 1: and get a drink.
- 25:49Speaker 2: On Friday, we'll explain everything and we'll show you pictures.
- 25:53Speaker 2: We could talk about our national experiences. Boom out of
- 25:56Speaker 2: the hole.
- 25:56Speaker 1: We need to go out immediately because these this is
- 25:58Speaker 1: getting posted Thursday, So if you're listening to this on third,
- 26:02Speaker 1: we have to go out before Thursday. We have to
- 26:05Speaker 1: go out before Thursday, because I I don't know if
- 26:10Speaker 1: it's better or worse for him to listen to this.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Here's my thing.
- 26:14Speaker 2: I think the right person could hear this and be like, girl,
- 26:17Speaker 2: I'm so sorry. Yeah, like take accountability for it.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Because the one we're gonna post before this is objectively
- 26:23Speaker 1: like I'm pissed as and I think, wait, we need
- 26:26Speaker 1: to go out today. But that's on him, like he
- 26:29Speaker 1: has the opportunity right now he does to be like.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Hey, easy, I know where you like to get coffee,
- 26:34Speaker 2: I know where you're at.
- 26:35Speaker 3: We can make this happen.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Done.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Yeah, Like that's the part that I'm I don't know
- 26:41Speaker 2: what who I need to pray to or what kind
- 26:43Speaker 2: of ritual I need to do, but sir, it has
- 26:45Speaker 2: never been clear on the next step. You guys literally
- 26:49Speaker 2: had a whole, like entire meat cute moment that fumbled.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I can't believe he sucked up our meet cute's Is
- 26:55Speaker 1: that not the cutest story you would have? You literally
- 26:58Speaker 1: could have possibly everything else. Sounds like a lot of them,
- 27:00Speaker 1: because I'm like, because I remember when Taylor and I
- 27:02Speaker 1: got back and we listened to the voice memo at
- 27:04Speaker 1: like three in the morning, I'm like, that's so annoying.
- 27:06Speaker 1: We could have met up on Broadway, like and that
- 27:09Speaker 1: would have been fun because we had like a fine
- 27:10Speaker 1: night on Broadway, but we couldn't. We didn't really find
- 27:13Speaker 1: our stride. Yeah, do you know what that you know
- 27:15Speaker 1: when you go out and you like can't find the
- 27:17Speaker 1: right bar, the right crowd. We could have met up
- 27:19Speaker 1: with him and his friends and it would have been
- 27:21Speaker 1: so fun and instead, I know. So the moral of
- 27:25Speaker 1: the story is if he was on the plane and
- 27:28Speaker 1: you're if you're on the dating apps and you're like me,
- 27:30Speaker 1: where you're very much trying not to get boozled, because
- 27:34Speaker 1: that's me. I'm anti boozled. Don't boozle me. M it's
- 27:38Speaker 1: possible that they might not be bamboozling you.
- 27:41Speaker 2: It is possible, And like I think a part of
- 27:43Speaker 2: me wants to just say, like go all in on
- 27:45Speaker 2: the situation, like just see what happens. Yeah, knowing like okay,
- 27:49Speaker 2: I guess that's with everything, you can always get hurt.
- 27:51Speaker 2: But it's like, all right, let's if we could just
- 27:52Speaker 2: strip aside everything that just happened. Let's just start fresh,
- 27:56Speaker 2: fresh slate. Let's go out and let's have a good time. Yeah,
- 27:59Speaker 2: and this let that be the story that then builds.
- 28:02Speaker 2: It's on him though, like that's the part that kind
- 28:03Speaker 2: of sucks about this.
- 28:04Speaker 1: If you're like.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Another dude, I'd be like, bro, like set up the date,
- 28:07Speaker 3: like right now, like let's go.
- 28:08Speaker 1: So I'm also wondering because Hinge has this new feature
- 28:11Speaker 1: where it'll tell you if someone's really active on the app.
- 28:14Speaker 1: They call it thoughtful Signals, Oh, which basically just means
- 28:17Speaker 1: they're a art No, was kidding. It just means that
- 28:20Speaker 1: they're on the app frequently and they respond to messages frequently.
- 28:23Speaker 1: So I'm like, so I think this guy maybe just
- 28:26Speaker 1: like talks to a lot of girls on the apps,
- 28:29Speaker 1: and maybe it's just like fun for him, do you
- 28:31Speaker 1: know what I mean. I'm a little bit worried he's
- 28:34Speaker 1: not like an actual meeting person guy.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it might be that case. And if he doesn't
- 28:39Speaker 2: ask out by today, that's kind of that case.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Yeah, so I will know or maybe I won't.
- 28:44Speaker 2: But like I couldn't live with myself in that way
- 28:48Speaker 2: unless I was still in middle school, like middle school.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Scott was like this like ridiculous statement because we were twelve, correct,
- 28:54Speaker 1: But yeah, you're so old. I'm like, what you just
- 28:57Speaker 1: get off on like flirting with people? Like people, it
- 29:00Speaker 1: gives me, It gives them something to get excited about,
- 29:05Speaker 1: and I get it. And to be fair, like when
- 29:06Speaker 1: I was responding to him all this weekend, I was
- 29:09Speaker 1: telling Taylor, I'm like, listen, Veronica, my therapist, if she
- 29:11Speaker 1: was here right now, she'd be like, just do something
- 29:13Speaker 1: that's like fun. And I'm like, yeah, I'm so sick
- 29:15Speaker 1: of taking life so seriously that I'm like, I just
- 29:17Speaker 1: want to let's just stir the pot. I was like,
- 29:19Speaker 1: it's something, it's something to think about other than death
- 29:23Speaker 1: and taxes.
- 29:24Speaker 2: So okay, So if you're gonna stir the pot with
- 29:26Speaker 2: this guy, I mean it's.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Like I'm gonna go out with him if you ask me.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, but how could you now? Because you
- 29:32Speaker 2: have the message right now? Yeah, I have to respond.
- 29:34Speaker 1: The last thing he said was because it wasn't.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Really a great message to respond to, But you have
- 29:38Speaker 2: to respond if you want a chance for end.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Time will tell and chat Chibt told me to what
- 29:43Speaker 1: did he say? Chat?
- 29:44Speaker 3: Chibt said, times taking That's what I would say, separate.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I think what I had written out was we shall
- 29:50Speaker 1: see Kama his name, like so we shall see Scott?
- 29:54Speaker 3: Oh yeah yeah?
- 29:55Speaker 1: Is that good? Or like should I be more directive like, yeah,
- 29:57Speaker 1: and we could if you just fucking ask me out.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Here's what I said to a friend the other day.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Oh okay, so let me go ahead and recap a
- 30:06Speaker 2: conversation I had with a friend that was in a
- 30:08Speaker 2: very similar situation, going back and forth with the guy,
- 30:10Speaker 2: a lot of flirting. And this guy had a cool
- 30:12Speaker 2: job where they like, let's just say they they booked bands, okay,
- 30:16Speaker 2: And they're talking about and they're bragging in these messages
- 30:19Speaker 2: about how they book all these bands.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Oh look who I just got for this venue.
- 30:23Speaker 2: And I told the girls, like, you know what, if
- 30:25Speaker 2: he hasn't asked you out yet, you need to call
- 30:27Speaker 2: his ass out and say, oh, so you have all
- 30:30Speaker 2: this skill a book of bands, but you don't have
- 30:32Speaker 2: the like whatever, the courage to ask me out. Oh
- 30:34Speaker 2: that's good, literally just to say stop bringing a little
- 30:38Speaker 2: bleep and just do it.
- 30:39Speaker 3: And he's like, oh damn, okay, how about this Tuesday.
- 30:41Speaker 2: And it's like I don't like that to be the case.
- 30:44Speaker 2: I would never want that to be the case for me.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Because I also feel like the right person for you,
- 30:49Speaker 1: it's not going to be that hard. That's I get it.
- 30:52Speaker 2: I just don't know why so many guys struggle and
- 30:54Speaker 2: we talk about this all the time, but it is
- 30:56Speaker 2: literally an epidemic of like guys don't know how to say, hey.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I'd like to tell you on a date, or they
- 31:03Speaker 1: will ask you and then they puss you out.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and so it's like it depends on how long
- 31:07Speaker 2: you'd want to go back and forth.
- 31:08Speaker 1: And I don't think I've got one more day left
- 31:11Speaker 1: in me, and then that's it.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think you could mess it up if
- 31:15Speaker 2: you were to say, well, like, then let's let's go, Like,
- 31:17Speaker 2: you know, you talked to a big game, could you
- 31:19Speaker 2: live up to it.
- 31:20Speaker 1: That's a good point.
- 31:21Speaker 2: It's like it's literally the point because that is what
- 31:23Speaker 2: you would want, right, Like, that's if you're going to
- 31:25Speaker 2: talk this walk it, let's go.
- 31:28Speaker 1: We're back in We're back in Tampa. That's what I
- 31:31Speaker 1: would do. I'm like, do you even live in Tampa?
- 31:34Speaker 1: Are you lying about that? Because I mean, he doesn't
- 31:37Speaker 1: have an American accent. He could literally be trolling me
- 31:40Speaker 1: from fucking Dublin.
- 31:41Speaker 2: God, that'd just be I know, people get off on
- 31:43Speaker 2: that stuff, but that's just so weird, Like I don't
- 31:46Speaker 2: know when that moment comes in life where you're like, damn,
- 31:49Speaker 2: I'm a fucking kremlin, Like.
- 31:50Speaker 1: That's that's weird. Bro.
- 31:52Speaker 2: If that, let's just say hypothetically, and maybe this isn't
- 31:54Speaker 2: to him, but if other people are hearing this, like
- 31:56Speaker 2: oh I love that game, I just fear it and
- 31:57Speaker 2: then I back away, that's weird.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Well. I think it comes down to a self confidence issue,
- 32:02Speaker 1: Like if people know they're not as good in person,
- 32:04Speaker 1: they like don't want to meet you in person because
- 32:06Speaker 1: they don't want you to be let down.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Well, then you will never get good in person without
- 32:09Speaker 2: being in person, I know.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Or how about you just like work on yourself. I
- 32:12Speaker 1: don't know. I was looking at old photos of me
- 32:15Speaker 1: from college, and it's not me trying to like rag
- 32:17Speaker 1: on myself at any point, but I was looking at
- 32:19Speaker 1: a photo of me from junior year of college where
- 32:22Speaker 1: I'm literally in the exact same position, like I'm posed
- 32:25Speaker 1: the exact same way, and I put it side by
- 32:29Speaker 1: side with a photo of me from this weekend in Nashville,
- 32:31Speaker 1: and I thought, oh my god, I look so much
- 32:34Speaker 1: better at twenty nine than I ever did it twenty
- 32:36Speaker 1: or twenty one. And it's because I feel like I've
- 32:40Speaker 1: worked on myself. I got the nose, Shawn, I got
- 32:43Speaker 1: the botox, the out not that I wasn't, you know,
- 32:46Speaker 1: doing all the good things in college and being my
- 32:48Speaker 1: quote unquote best self then. But it's just so funny,
- 32:50Speaker 1: like that best version of myself was not the best
- 32:54Speaker 1: version of me.
- 32:55Speaker 2: And it's like in that time you think it is. Yeah,
- 32:57Speaker 2: think you're doing the best you can with what you have,
- 32:59Speaker 2: and it's so funny.
- 33:00Speaker 1: I look at myself and I can just see, like
- 33:01Speaker 1: I've got so much. I've got the twenty sixteen makeup on.
- 33:04Speaker 1: That's a thing that all girls will know. It's like, oh,
- 33:06Speaker 1: just a very thick, thick cake of makeup. And then
- 33:10Speaker 1: I had like a little bit of makeup on in Nashville.
- 33:14Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, I look way better like
- 33:15Speaker 1: I look so much more like me in this photo.
- 33:17Speaker 3: That's so refreshing. And I think that's the goal for
- 33:19Speaker 3: all of us.
- 33:19Speaker 2: And I know sometimes it's like weird to get older,
- 33:21Speaker 2: but as I've gotten older, that is the one thing
- 33:24Speaker 2: I've caught myself up thinking of, Like the goal was
- 33:27Speaker 2: to be better, to look better, to feel healthier, and
- 33:30Speaker 2: like I'm going into like this year being thirty, and
- 33:32Speaker 2: it really is my goal to be the healthiest that
- 33:34Speaker 2: I've ever been, not just like physically, but also mentally
- 33:37Speaker 2: of the help that I'm getting outside, you know, whether
- 33:40Speaker 2: it's with coaches or with therapists, or with going to
- 33:43Speaker 2: conferences or reading books, like I want to be the
- 33:45Speaker 2: best version of me as I'm stepping into this new
- 33:47Speaker 2: chapter of life, which again I could look and that's
- 33:50Speaker 2: why I could emphathize with so many of these guys,
- 33:52Speaker 2: because I've done so many stupid things. But the goal
- 33:55Speaker 2: is to then look at those experiences and say I
- 33:57Speaker 2: could do better, and not only can I, I will
- 34:00Speaker 2: and putting in.
- 34:01Speaker 1: That work that should be the entire process.
- 34:04Speaker 2: That's what's exciting about getting order, is like you have
- 34:05Speaker 2: an opportunity to improve what at one point you thought
- 34:08Speaker 2: yours your best. Like I posted up a little like
- 34:10Speaker 2: silly photo the other day on Instagram, but like my
- 34:12Speaker 2: first year in radio, and I remember at the time
- 34:15Speaker 2: and I was like, damn, like I'm the shit.
- 34:18Speaker 1: I thought I had the haircut and the look and
- 34:20Speaker 1: the feel, and I was confident.
- 34:22Speaker 2: And I look at that picture now and it's eight
- 34:23Speaker 2: years ago, and I'm like gosh damn.
- 34:25Speaker 1: First off, my eyebrows were so thick. God dang, this
- 34:28Speaker 1: was so bushy and dark eyebrows.
- 34:31Speaker 3: But I also thought, Wow, that kid has done a
- 34:33Speaker 3: lot of growth.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:34Speaker 2: The way that kid thought versus how I think and
- 34:36Speaker 2: react now completely different humans. Which at the end of
- 34:40Speaker 2: the day, that's the goal, that's the hope that we
- 34:43Speaker 2: could have. I hope that you actually get an opportunity
- 34:46Speaker 2: to sit down with this guy and have a conversation.
- 34:48Speaker 1: We see, because it's got to happen tonight because I'm
- 34:49Speaker 1: i gotta post these podcasts. I'm trying to go viral
- 34:53Speaker 1: on TikTok.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Oh. God, if he does get it and he listens
- 34:56Speaker 2: to it again, the right one will be like dar,
- 34:59Speaker 2: I gotta step up. Yeah, the path is clear. All
- 35:02Speaker 2: you gotta do is just make the right move. Anytime
- 35:05Speaker 2: you listen to a podcast, leave a Reggie, leave a comment,
- 35:07Speaker 2: and we'll be happy to make sure that we read
- 35:09Speaker 2: it on the podcast, or at least comment back, because
- 35:11Speaker 2: now we can go back and forth with you on
- 35:13Speaker 2: the comments and share it. Let your friends know Scotty
- 35:16Speaker 2: and Abbey Unfiltered wherever you listen to podcasts.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Thanks for being part of this one,
