- 0:04Speaker 1: Jay Santos of the Citizens Auxiliary Police is on the air. Yes,
- 0:11Speaker 1: it is Jay Santos of the Citizens Auxiliary Police. This
- 0:13Speaker 1: is the world-famous Phil Hendry Show. We have Major Elvis
- 0:17Speaker 1: Newton is going to be on with us as well.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Margaret Gray is here, Bud Dickman, General Galen Shaw. I've
- 0:21Speaker 1: got some questions.
- 0:22Speaker 2: You said Major Newton? Yes.
- 0:24Speaker 1: I have some questions for him, too. We're bringing Jay
- 0:26Speaker 1: back because, quite frankly, folks, we did not find it
- 0:28Speaker 1: to be a satisfactory interview last night. I'm Phil Hendry.
- 0:38Speaker 1: We can hear you, Jay.
- 0:40Speaker 2: We can hear you.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Hold on. Jay Santos, Citizens Auxiliary Police. This is Phil Hendry. Jay,
- 0:46Speaker 1: bringing Jay Santos up there from the Citizens Auxiliary Police substation.
- 0:51Speaker 1: You're at your house?
- 0:53Speaker 2: No, we're not at my house. I wish you would
- 0:54Speaker 2: put it that way, Mr. Chairman. We're not at my house.
- 0:57Speaker 2: We are at the substation, okay?
- 0:58Speaker 1: Yeah, but Jay, this is General Shaw. You guys used
- 1:01Speaker 1: your house, your cars.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Yes, we do. We use our cars. We use our houses.
- 1:10Speaker 1: So you want it to sound really official.
- 1:11Speaker 2: God, Miss Gray, you just went... It sounded as if
- 1:16Speaker 2: you just sort of slipped one in and just went....
- 1:21Speaker 1: I'm going to get up and leave if you don't
- 1:22Speaker 1: get rid of him. Let me just talk to him, okay?
- 1:24Speaker 1: I'm getting up and leaving if you don't get rid
- 1:27Speaker 1: of him. Let me talk to him, Margaret, please. Miss Gray, it's...
- 1:29Speaker 1: Don't shut... That was uncalled for. All right, let me
- 1:33Speaker 1: get him back up on the line. Jay, we had
- 1:36Speaker 1: you on hold.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah, what's the problem?
- 1:38Speaker 1: How dare you make some kind of a gagging reference
- 1:40Speaker 1: to Margaret?
- 1:42Speaker 2: Oh, Mr. Henry, I'm very sorry, but it just sounded
- 1:46Speaker 2: like you went, go home.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Right, that's what it sounded like. And then you said, boy,
- 1:50Speaker 3: it sounds like you made some reference as if that's
- 1:53Speaker 3: kind of a common occurrence for me.
- 1:57Speaker 2: I'm awfully sorry. It's been a long day for me,
- 2:00Speaker 2: and it's been a long day for you. I heard
- 2:02Speaker 2: you go, and I automatically started thinking that you were
- 2:07Speaker 2: choking on.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I'm sorry, choking on what?
- 2:11Speaker 2: Nothing.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I insist you tell me what you were saying. Margaret,
- 2:14Speaker 1: let's just leave well enough alone. I insist on saying,
- 2:18Speaker 1: what did you say?
- 2:22Speaker 2: Ms. Gray, I'm sorry. I want to apologize with all
- 2:25Speaker 2: my heart.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I'm insisting now. What did you say I was choking on?
- 2:28Speaker 2: I said you were choking on someone's dick.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Okay, she's just getting up and leaving.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I'll tell you right now, Jay, if you were here
- 2:36Speaker 3: right now, I'd bury my fist right up your ass
- 2:40Speaker 3: through the top of your head and then walk around
- 2:42Speaker 3: with you as a purse.
- 2:45Speaker 1: What are you laughing at? Nothing, nothing at all. You?
- 2:50Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 2:51Speaker 1: No, I'm not laughing. So we just lost Margaret Gray.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Did you hear what she just said? Major Elvis Newton.
- 2:59Speaker 2: This is Major Elvis Newton. I just heard what Margaret
- 3:02Speaker 2: Grace said to my brigadier admiral. He was also a
- 3:06Speaker 2: long-time subcommander. And in many ways, I still see Jay
- 3:10Speaker 2: as a very efficient and very exuberant subcommander. But she
- 3:17Speaker 2: just said to him, first of all, it was a
- 3:21Speaker 2: piece of humiliation. And it also begs the question, we're
- 3:26Speaker 2: talking about trying to figure out here, you know, what
- 3:32Speaker 2: the respect level is. I don't know.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know either. I forget what it was
- 3:37Speaker 1: we were talking about.
- 3:37Speaker 2: We were talking about Mr. Henry. I said, I forget.
- 3:40Speaker 1: She was mispronouncing something. You said it sounded like a gag.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Yes, that's it. She went, I don't know.
- 3:46Speaker 1: All right, let's get off that kick because she's just
- 3:48Speaker 1: left the studio. And, Margaret, if you're driving home and
- 3:50Speaker 1: you're listening to this, let me at least call you
- 3:53Speaker 1: after we get off the air, okay? If you don't mind.
- 3:55Speaker 3: I haven't left yet.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Jesus, you scared the hell out of me. What are
- 3:59Speaker 1: you doing?
- 3:59Speaker 2: Hanging in that courtroom?
- 4:00Speaker 1: Hanging in the corner. I said hanging in the corner.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Mr. Gray, I want to just apologize from the bottom,
- 4:09Speaker 2: right down to the bottom of my heart.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Don't listen. Listen to me and listen very carefully. When
- 4:13Speaker 3: you start making references to a woman gagging on something,
- 4:17Speaker 3: you're going to be the next one gagging on something.
- 4:19Speaker 3: I told you, Jay. I'm going to put my fist
- 4:21Speaker 3: through your mouth, through the back of your head, and
- 4:24Speaker 3: walk around with you as a purse.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Are you kidding me? Excuse me. You're not kidding, are you?
- 4:31Speaker 1: No, I'm not. I don't think she is. Yes, Margaret
- 4:34Speaker 1: generally doesn't kid like that.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Have you ever seen Ms. Gray affect that well of violence?
- 4:38Speaker 1: Hey, look, Jay, just keep your enforcement efforts to the
- 4:41Speaker 1: streets out there in the world, not on my show.
- 4:44Speaker 1: We have with us Jay Sanis of the Citizens' Observatory Police.
- 4:46Speaker 1: The bigger question that we asked you the other night
- 4:48Speaker 1: and you refused to answer it, I know you have
- 4:50Speaker 1: Major Elvis Newton... Uh, what do you mean when you
- 4:53Speaker 1: say it is armed response? Because... Hold on just a minute.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Hold on. I'm sorry to shoot it. Holy Jesus. 2553. Right. Monkey, monkey. Monkey, monkey.
- 5:03Speaker 2: This is Monkey Central. Monkey, monkey.
- 5:04Speaker 3: 3-3.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I said this is monkey, monkey. I'm Monkey Central. Grand monkey.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Boop.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Grand monkey, grand monkey. Come see the sunshine. When I
- 5:17Speaker 2: see you, you'll be behind. Grand monkey, grand monkey. Boop.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Fort Street Street. Roger. Monkey, Monkey Boy, Monkey Boy.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Hey, Jay, you going to be done any time this year?
- 5:30Speaker 2: Hold on for a minute, Mr.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Henry.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Monkey Boy, Monkey Boy, where do you go? Every time
- 5:35Speaker 2: I see you, you're, it's a no-go. 10-3-2-3-3.
- 5:38Speaker 1: 25-4.
- 5:38Speaker 2: 10-3-3-3-3. 10-3-3-3-3.
- 5:39Speaker 3: 10-3-3-3-3.
- 5:39Speaker 1: 10-3-3-3-3.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Grand Monkey, Grand Monkey. Fuck this. What are you laughing at? You.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Why is it so funny?
- 6:00Speaker 1: Jay, you know what? You're not saying anything, are you?
- 6:02Speaker 1: Is there actually anybody on the other end of that line?
- 6:05Speaker 2: Of course there is. You can hear them ringing through.
- 6:08Speaker 1: What's this Grand Monkey thing?
- 6:10Speaker 2: That happens to be a code that we are now
- 6:12Speaker 2: using here at Citizens Auxiliary Police. I'm the Grand Monkey.
- 6:15Speaker 2: We say, Monkey, Monkey, Monkey, Monkey. We say it four times.
- 6:17Speaker 2: You've now reached the Grand Monkey, who's a brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr-brr.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Armed response.
- 6:39Speaker 2: We want to know what kind of arms you guys
- 6:42Speaker 2: are carrying. Okay? Ow-ho! God damn, he just kicked me
- 7:09Speaker 2: right in the nuts. Did I really? No.
- 7:13Speaker 1: You guys are going to get....
- 7:16Speaker 2: Look, Mr. Henry, you may find it funny. I faked
- 7:19Speaker 2: like I'm going to kick all of my subcommanders and
- 7:21Speaker 2: all of the members of my command. I do actually
- 7:24Speaker 2: fake like I'm going to bury a boot right in
- 7:26Speaker 2: their ball sack, but then I hold up. So in
- 7:30Speaker 2: many ways, their screams of agony are real.
- 7:33Speaker 1: But you didn't really kick him.
- 7:34Speaker 2: No, I didn't touch him. He didn't touch me, but
- 7:36Speaker 2: I saw the boot headed toward my testicle, and I went, ah, ah,
- 7:39Speaker 2: and then, you know.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Okay.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Can I take over? Phil, why don't you sit down, okay?
- 7:46Speaker 2: We'll take over.
- 7:47Speaker 1: No, I'm not sitting down.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Phil Henry didn't get much sleep over the last week,
- 7:51Speaker 3: and as a result, he was seeing things.
- 7:54Speaker 1: And hearing things.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Yes, I heard all about it.
- 7:56Speaker 1: How are you feeling, Phil? I was feeling great until
- 7:59Speaker 1: I got on the air with you guys.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Oh, listen to this guy, will you? Well, excuse me
- 8:03Speaker 2: for breathing. Grab the phone out of my hand, you'll
- 8:07Speaker 2: lose the use of that hand. I'm sorry, Major, but
- 8:09Speaker 2: we've got to get moving along. Next time you grab
- 8:12Speaker 2: something out of my hand, you will lose the use
- 8:15Speaker 2: of that hand. Do you understand? You'll walk around like
- 8:18Speaker 2: Boris Karloff in that movie where he had it all
- 8:20Speaker 2: crimped up on his chest. Remember that movie?
- 8:23Speaker 1: Can we get to the show?
- 8:24Speaker 2: All right. Mr. Henry, so what we've decided to do is,
- 8:29Speaker 2: we will, first of all, it is armed response, okay?
- 8:32Speaker 1: Is that a loaded weapon?
- 8:33Speaker 2: Yes, it is. Yes, it is.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Okay, that's the first straight answer we've gotten out of
- 8:37Speaker 1: you guys. It's taken us one and a half shows.
- 8:39Speaker 1: So you're going to be driving around with a loaded weapon?
- 8:42Speaker 2: Yes, we are.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Okay, can you tell us what kind?
- 8:44Speaker 2: It's a long gun, okay?
- 8:46Speaker 1: It's a long gun?
- 8:47Speaker 2: That's correct, yes.
- 8:49Speaker 1: So that's pretty heavy. That's either, you know, is it automatic?
- 8:51Speaker 2: Automatic. Automatic what?
- 8:53Speaker 1: Is it an automatic weapon?
- 8:55Speaker 2: No, it's not. Yes, it is. As a matter of fact,
- 8:57Speaker 2: it is automatic. Let me get the phone.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Mr.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Henry, we are going around armed response with large... Now,
- 9:07Speaker 2: please listen, and listen carefully. And if I hear any laughter,
- 9:10Speaker 2: I am going to make it my business to find
- 9:12Speaker 2: whoever was laughing. Excuse me. To find whoever was laughing.
- 9:16Speaker 2: And I will take them... And I will... Oh, God.
- 9:21Speaker 2: You talk about having anal sex with their corpse. What
- 9:25Speaker 2: did you just say to me? I didn't touch him. No,
- 9:30Speaker 2: he reared back with a fake kick.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Hey, Jay, what's the point of saying something like that?
- 9:34Speaker 2: Well, he said it was going to merely make... The
- 9:36Speaker 2: only thing that's going to scare anybody is if you
- 9:38Speaker 2: say you're going to have anal with their corpse. Okay, Jay,
- 9:41Speaker 2: listen to this. I'm having anal with your corpse right
- 9:44Speaker 2: after the show ends. Woo! Did you? Major Newton, I've
- 9:50Speaker 2: never said this to you. You're an asshole. That's right.
- 9:53Speaker 2: That's me, Major Elvis Newton. You try to embarrass me,
- 9:57Speaker 2: Major Elvis Newton.
- 9:58Speaker 1: All right, guys, listen to me. So what's the story here?
- 10:01Speaker 1: So you are a long gun, and you don't want
- 10:08Speaker 1: to tell us what kind of a gun?
- 10:09Speaker 2: I can tell you right now, it's a super soaker.
- 10:12Speaker 2: You asshole. It looks like a legitimate gun. They paint
- 10:16Speaker 2: it black. There's no bullets in there. We fill it
- 10:19Speaker 2: full of water.
- 10:20Speaker 1: You guys are running around, armed response, with a super soaker.
- 10:24Speaker 1: So if I were to call you to my house
- 10:25Speaker 1: and say there's someone breaking in, you'd meet them with
- 10:28Speaker 1: a water pistol.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Let me tell you something. If these guys wield it
- 10:32Speaker 2: the proper way, in a threatening manner, as if it's real,
- 10:36Speaker 2: you'd scare off every burglar, every Christian soul, within 100
- 10:41Speaker 2: square miles of this place. I agree with you, General Shaw.
- 10:46Speaker 2: What's your name again? My name is Melvin Newton, Major.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Major Elvis Newton. Yes. Okay, I agree, but.
- 10:53Speaker 1: That kind of goes against the brand, though.
- 10:55Speaker 2: What is that supposed to mean, against the brand?
- 10:56Speaker 1: You guys are all hard-ass and stuff, the citizens of
- 10:58Speaker 1: Deer Lake Police, and you're riding around with super soakers
- 11:01Speaker 1: painted up to look like real guns. Why don't you
- 11:03Speaker 1: have real guns?
- 11:05Speaker 2: Because I don't... We're not....
- 11:09Speaker 1: You're not what? You're not qualified to have one?
- 11:13Speaker 2: Not right now, no. We can't be licensed because I...
- 11:18Speaker 2: I'll do it. Be careful how you say this. Major
- 11:21Speaker 2: Newton spent time in a psychiatric facility. Look at him.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Look at him. Look at him. He's going... You prick.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I swear I'll never forgive you for this. You said
- 11:32Speaker 2: I could go ahead and say it, okay?
- 11:34Speaker 1: Major Newton, you spent time in a psychiatric facility.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Yes. I was at the Plasgal. I was actually at
- 11:40Speaker 2: Sweet Farm, and I was transferred over to Plasgal, which
- 11:43Speaker 2: is in Arizona.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Is it a forensic hospital?
- 11:46Speaker 2: Oh, look at him. Whoa! Forensic hospital, huh?
- 11:51Speaker 1: Was it a forensic hospital?
- 11:53Speaker 2: Yes, it was. Forensic hospitals have a hospital for a criminal,
- 11:56Speaker 2: and we know that.
- 11:58Speaker 3: So, Major Newton, you have no call to talk to
- 12:00Speaker 3: anybody about anything. You were almost put in a nuthouse.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Oh, boy. What I wouldn't give to just,
- 12:11Speaker 2: what I wouldn't give Mr. Henry to drive a truck
- 12:13Speaker 2: right through your studio right now. Just gun it right
- 12:17Speaker 2: from the street, hop a curb, head right through your studio,
- 12:20Speaker 2: and just plow right through.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Yeah, that sounds like the kind of criminal shit you do.
- 12:24Speaker 1: So here's the thing.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Oh, criminal shit. Hold on, hold on.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Here's the thing. We have armed response. Well, now I know.
- 12:31Speaker 1: I think probably law enforcement will not allow you guys
- 12:34Speaker 1: to have guns. Is that true, Jay?
- 12:38Speaker 2: Yes, it's true. You asshole. Because you was put in
- 12:44Speaker 2: a male institution.
- 12:47Speaker 1: You ought to fire that guy, Major Newton, and you
- 12:50Speaker 1: become the new Major Newton, whatever the hell you'd be.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I'd be the Newton? You'll never be the Newton. Never.
- 12:59Speaker 2: You sit down before you fall down. Who are you
- 13:06Speaker 2: laughing at?
- 13:07Speaker 1: So we find out that Major Elvis Newton, because he
- 13:09Speaker 1: spent time in a mental institution, they cannot legally license
- 13:12Speaker 1: the weapons they have, so when they say armed response,
- 13:15Speaker 1: they're going out. It is pretty funny, Major.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Oh, it's very funny. I'm trying to present the look
- 13:21Speaker 2: of a law enforcement force that is lethal, okay?
- 13:25Speaker 1: And you're doing it with super soakers.
- 13:27Speaker 2: You're doing it with super soakers. That's what I'm doing.
- 13:31Speaker 2: What up?
- 13:32Speaker 3: Mr.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Henry, I've got to ask you, are you a homosexual?
- 13:35Speaker 1: Why, are you interested?
- 13:40Speaker 2: I just kicked Jay in the nuts. No, he didn't. Well,
- 13:45Speaker 2: it felt like, I imagined that I was kicking.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Get the fuck out of here for the second day
- 13:50Speaker 1: in a row. What?
- 13:51Speaker 2: What do you mean, what?
- 13:53Speaker 1: What are we trying to prove with these guys? Okay,
- 13:55Speaker 1: number one, I don't want to have Jay on the
- 13:56Speaker 1: show again for another few weeks. I never want that
- 13:58Speaker 1: Major Elvis Newton. The guy was in a mental institution. He,
- 14:05Speaker 1: you know, wanted to be coded in so that, you know,
- 14:08Speaker 1: he'd be on the show. They're going to go out
- 14:11Speaker 1: and they're going to use super soakers. I heard a
- 14:14Speaker 1: rumor about this. Well, we heard it this afternoon.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Whatever.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Major Elvis Newton. You know, I should have known.
- 14:22Speaker 3: That guy has been cracked from the beginning.
- 14:24Speaker 1: And you're right.
- 14:24Speaker 3: You should have known because I always suspected there was
- 14:27Speaker 3: something seriously, seriously wrong with him.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I'm Margaret Gray. Yeah.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Yeah, Ms.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Gray.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 14:38Speaker 1: All right. Do we have Dr. Jim Sadler? Because Dr.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Sadler is going to help me. As I said to
- 14:44Speaker 1: the pre-show audience, and I might as well say to
- 14:46Speaker 1: you guys now, I experienced a very strange phenomenon the
- 14:49Speaker 1: other night, actually Sunday night, whereby my speech became scrambled.
- 14:54Speaker 1: And not so much scrambled as I was talking about
- 14:58Speaker 1: stuff that I don't really remember saying. until I finally
- 15:02Speaker 1: kind of woke up from it. It was some sort
- 15:04Speaker 1: of a sleep state that I was in while my
- 15:06Speaker 1: eyes were awake and I was talking. I was so
- 15:08Speaker 1: bloody tired Sunday night. That's what happened. So I looked
- 15:12Speaker 1: this up on the pre-show as well as on Sunday,
- 15:17Speaker 1: and there is something called, well, there's a variety of
- 15:21Speaker 1: different things. One of them is called transient fatigue, local sleep,
- 15:26Speaker 1: automatic behavior, the science behind overtired nonsense speech is the
- 15:31Speaker 1: way they put it. Now, let me see if there's
- 15:33Speaker 1: a thing called aphasia. Aphasia is a disorder that affects
- 15:35Speaker 1: how you communicate. No, that's not what it is. That's
- 15:38Speaker 1: the thing from the.
- 15:39Speaker 3: That's from the migraine headache that that reporter for Channel
- 15:42Speaker 3: 5 had.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Right, that poor girl. There is an actual video that
- 15:47Speaker 1: survives of this young lady, a reporter, a damn good
- 15:50Speaker 1: reporter for Channel 5 in L.A., and she still works
- 15:52Speaker 1: for them, who had a migraine headache, and it created
- 15:55Speaker 1: this aphasia, and she began to just speak in Nonsense
- 15:59Speaker 1: she knew at the time though. She was speaking nonsense
- 16:01Speaker 1: with me. This felt like I had fallen asleep and
- 16:04Speaker 1: I was like I I just lost contact with that
- 16:09Speaker 1: level of my brain where shit made sense And I
- 16:13Speaker 1: was just talking This nonsense and then I finally kind
- 16:17Speaker 1: of woke up through it. I asked myself at one point.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Why am I even talking about this? So this is
- 16:23Speaker 1: aphasia this is what they're giving us So that's what
- 16:26Speaker 1: happened And it was part of the pre-show and actually
- 16:31Speaker 1: part of the video that we were recording for the
- 16:33Speaker 1: show because I totally blew it. I didn't videotape Jay.
- 16:39Speaker 1: So we have Dr. Jim Sadler. Is that right?
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yes.
- 16:42Speaker 3: After all of that, he's still.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Dr.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Sadler is waiting on the phone.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Dr.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Jim Sadler in San Diego right now.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Dr.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Sadler, how are you?
- 16:50Speaker 2: Hey, Phil. I'm doing pretty good. How are you feeling?
- 16:53Speaker 1: Fine, fine. I... I got some sleep last night.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Well, it sounds like that's probably what you needed was
- 16:58Speaker 2: a lot of sleep. We find that in the case
- 17:03Speaker 2: of hyperactive sleep, where a person has not had enough
- 17:08Speaker 2: sleep and they've got to get some... I don't know.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Do you know anything about this?
- 17:13Speaker 2: I don't know a lot about it, no. But I
- 17:16Speaker 2: was kind of bullcrapping along until I could get some
- 17:19Speaker 2: things here.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Well, I don't want to, you know, if it's not
- 17:21Speaker 1: an area of your expertise.
- 17:23Speaker 2: No, I understand what it is. Basically what you were, Phil,
- 17:27Speaker 2: was you were asleep. A certain part of your brain
- 17:30Speaker 2: was asleep while you was talking, see?
- 17:32Speaker 1: Okay, that sounds about right. And then when I woke up,
- 17:35Speaker 1: and I did, I literally woke up and I said, well,
- 17:37Speaker 1: what the hell am I talking about this for?
- 17:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's when your mind came together and it said, wow,
- 17:43Speaker 2: you know, we've got to pull it together. So your
- 17:46Speaker 2: mind kind of came together and said to itself, I
- 17:49Speaker 2: got to pull it together. Yeah, okay.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Thanks a lot, Doc.
- 17:52Speaker 2: You know something, General Shaw? I got a call here
- 17:56Speaker 2: a half hour ago from Bud who said, do you
- 17:58Speaker 2: know anything about this sleep babbling? And I said, what
- 18:02Speaker 2: the fuck are you talking about?
- 18:07Speaker 1: Sorry for bothering you, Doc.
- 18:09Speaker 3: That's what happens when we call these guests up late.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Yeah. Sorry for bothering you, Doc. I didn't mean to
- 18:14Speaker 1: do that.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 18:20Speaker 1: All right, so dig it. 9-1-1, great show. I was very,
- 18:26Speaker 1: very proud and am very, very proud to be a
- 18:28Speaker 1: part of that show. The first two episodes that I
- 18:31Speaker 1: was on, the first one called That Sinking Feeling. The
- 18:34Speaker 1: next one was Fire in the Hole that I think
- 18:37Speaker 1: just aired on Thursday.
- 18:39Speaker 3: That's the one where you're in the caved-in tunnel with
- 18:42Speaker 3: Angela Bassett's character and Zach Tinker's character.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Right. And then we try to get our asses out
- 18:48Speaker 1: of that tunnel. Now, next week is going to be
- 18:51Speaker 1: one called Streets of Fire. And I personally was happy
- 18:57Speaker 1: because that's a really emotional performance that I give in
- 19:01Speaker 1: that particular episode. I don't know, man. I don't like
- 19:04Speaker 1: watching myself on TV, so I haven't seen any of these.
- 19:08Speaker 1: People have been very kind when they say, oh, Phil, sorry,
- 19:10Speaker 1: you're really great. And I don't know, man. But, you know,
- 19:13Speaker 1: I'm finding my way, baby, in this this thing. But
- 19:17Speaker 1: a great show, great crew. I love the director, Brad
- 19:19Speaker 1: Buecher is a terrific guy. Angela Bassett was great. And
- 19:23Speaker 1: Zach Tinker, particularly, a hell of a guy, man, to
- 19:25Speaker 1: talk to and hang out with. So yeah, the next
- 19:28Speaker 1: one is... And that great crew of actors they have
- 19:31Speaker 1: in that show. And all these guys are in wardrobe.
- 19:34Speaker 1: They're dressed as firefighters. And I made the mistake of
- 19:37Speaker 1: saying to one of the production assistants, I said, are
- 19:39Speaker 1: these guys... Real firemen? And she goes, are actors? No,
- 19:43Speaker 1: those are actors. She was really offended. Excuse me, I
- 19:46Speaker 1: didn't mean to. They look like authentic firemen to me.
- 19:50Speaker 1: But no, these were actors wearing. They're in their costume, Phil.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I understand. Yes, I understand. And in their costume they were. So,
- 20:00Speaker 1: and I'll be in costume too.
- 20:02Speaker 2: What are you wearing?
- 20:03Speaker 1: Like I've got a hard hat on and a tag
- 20:05Speaker 1: that says my character's name and I'm all dirty and
- 20:09Speaker 1: It was a lot of fun, man, to be dirty
- 20:11Speaker 1: and to be involved in that much sweat. Those long
- 20:15Speaker 1: days and just crazy, crazy environment. I had a blast.
- 20:20Speaker 1: So check that out next week. What's it called again?
- 20:25Speaker 1: Streets of Fire.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yeah, well, the world-famous Phil Henry Show.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Thanks a lot, Phil. You're welcome.
