The Mercy of God
The Ten Commandments Repeated (demonstrating the mercy of God)
Deuteronomy 5 Then Moses summoned all Israel and said to them:
“Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the ordinances which I am speaking today in your hearing, that you may learn them and observe them carefully.
God’s desire for us is to learn and obey His commands and laws by observing them. Although Israel learned God’s laws, they didn’t listen or obey and would repeatedly end up in exile and ruled by others. This was not what God wanted for His people. This is a huge red flag for us. We need to learn and obey all that God says.
