- 0:10Speaker 1: Drama, Darling.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Drama, Darling Drama, Darling.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Hello, everybody, welcome back in It's Drama Darling, and I
- 0:29Speaker 3: am Amy Phillips. Joining me today is the fabulous Deanna Chang.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Hello Deanna, how are you?
- 0:34Speaker 2: Oh Amy? I'm great, great to be with you. Good morning,
- 0:37Speaker 2: Good mornting as so sad.
- 0:40Speaker 1: As they do say.
- 0:41Speaker 3: You know who was famous for that is Giselle And
- 0:44Speaker 3: we all know Giselle's podcast, remember Jesseelle's podcast Reasonably Shady.
- 0:51Speaker 3: She's the only one on it anyway, that's a throwback
- 0:53Speaker 3: to an earlier episode when I was slightly reasonably shady,
- 0:57Speaker 3: leaving Robin out of the equation.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I apologie, I apologize, Robin.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Well, I've been sleeping during it, so we can't count.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Even if she's there, she's resting. She uses all the
- 1:09Speaker 2: opportunity that she has to be either on mic or
- 1:13Speaker 2: on screen to take a load out.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Who knew that on this day we would just pop
- 1:19Speaker 3: in and just drag Robin like?
- 1:22Speaker 1: Who knew it was?
- 1:25Speaker 2: You know? Today?
- 1:26Speaker 3: No one is safe? Okay, We're coming for you. No
- 1:29Speaker 3: one is safe. And let it be said that my
- 1:32Speaker 3: name is not honey or bunny.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Don't call me honey, don't ever call me honey.
- 1:36Speaker 1: My name is Elena. Okay, my name is Elena or Eric.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not bunny, I'm not anything.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, that's the energy we're coming in with today,
- 1:45Speaker 3: So just don't sleep on your podcast.
- 1:48Speaker 1: We aren't. Let's do this.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Okay, here we are. We've got a lot to discuss.
- 1:53Speaker 3: We're going to discuss a little bit of the last
- 1:55Speaker 3: reunion of Southern Charm, and then we're gonna hang over
- 1:58Speaker 3: to below deck down under, so everybody gather around. It's
- 2:03Speaker 3: gonna be a lot of stuff that's happening. I mean,
- 2:07Speaker 3: I can't leave.
- 2:09Speaker 2: How dare you.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Listen?
- 2:16Speaker 3: Why don't we talk a little bit about Southern Charm?
- 2:19Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I just want to mention Southern Charm because
- 2:22Speaker 3: I wanted to say that I felt like I feel
- 2:25Speaker 3: like Craig really the most shocking thing is like he
- 2:31Speaker 3: didn't watch the season, you know, and it's just a
- 2:34Speaker 3: perfect example of how he is living in denial and
- 2:39Speaker 3: not willing to look at himself. No one wants to
- 2:42Speaker 3: watch a season when they're going to look bad, or
- 2:45Speaker 3: if there's something on it that's going to make them
- 2:47Speaker 3: say I'm going to need to change something. And I
- 2:51Speaker 3: did appreciate at the end that Madison's like, I mean, Craig,
- 2:55Speaker 3: you don't want to look maybe you should watch the
- 2:57Speaker 3: season after her being the only person that had his back,
- 3:02Speaker 3: which was very nice. But at the end of the day,
- 3:07Speaker 3: let's not be codependent. You know, what were your thoughts
- 3:10Speaker 3: about Craig in the reunion.
- 3:13Speaker 2: It was fascinating to watch someone operate in the way
- 3:17Speaker 2: he did, and you know, throughout that episode he was
- 3:21Speaker 2: just like pulling people to the side and just being like, God,
- 3:25Speaker 2: I was perfect up until that one moment. You know
- 3:29Speaker 2: she's she's saying it's the bus ride, but like that
- 3:34Speaker 2: wasn't anything. You know, he was just sort of trying
- 3:38Speaker 2: to get people on his side and lay this groundwork
- 3:42Speaker 2: that and Andy when he said that to him, was like,
- 3:47Speaker 2: I mean he's such you know what a pro. He
- 3:50Speaker 2: was just like pay interesting take. So I just found
- 3:57Speaker 2: it like, God, that's a slippery, slippery type. And you know,
- 4:02Speaker 2: it took an entire episode with all of these people
- 4:07Speaker 2: constantly going at him for him to you know buckle
- 4:14Speaker 2: a bit yeah and a little left down. Yeah. So
- 4:20Speaker 2: that was my one thought, which was like it was
- 4:22Speaker 2: fascinating to watch this type of person.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:27Speaker 2: And the other thing that I just felt so strongly,
- 4:31Speaker 2: which I really hadn't gotten until that episode, was Venita
- 4:36Speaker 2: and Craig. What I understood finally was that he just
- 4:45Speaker 2: has been like, there's never been I was going through
- 4:48Speaker 2: my life and my friendships and people that as you do,
- 4:52Speaker 2: I've had, as you do, like that I've had a
- 4:54Speaker 2: problem with. Right, So I'm like, have I ever in
- 4:58Speaker 2: my life has there been someone who does actively doesn't
- 5:01Speaker 2: like me and I like them? Right? No, that's not
- 5:06Speaker 2: a thing, right, So he has never and he said
- 5:10Speaker 2: it several times in the episode, we don't like, I
- 5:13Speaker 2: don't like you, right, Like I don't.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I don't know you. We don't know each other.
- 5:19Speaker 2: We don't know each other. And what I really understood
- 5:21Speaker 2: is like, and which I wish she had.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Said, was why yeah, well m hmm.
- 5:30Speaker 2: No, But this is from the beginning. This isn't about
- 5:33Speaker 2: like he just has decided he doesn't like her. That's
- 5:37Speaker 2: not about what he she said about his ex girlfriend
- 5:39Speaker 2: or anything like that. He's just like, no, it's just
- 5:42Speaker 2: like we've never he said it. We've I've you know,
- 5:45Speaker 2: we've never been friends and it's like we're in a small.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Why yeah, and why why why have you not decided
- 5:53Speaker 3: taken time to get to know me, try to incorporate
- 5:58Speaker 3: me into the group like you would any other other person.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't have the luxury of being on a
- 6:05Speaker 2: cast and just being like I'm denying this rison access.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Actually the general basic like how can they not move
- 6:15Speaker 2: on already from this? Like that's what's so crazy to me.
- 6:19Speaker 3: It's such a stupid argument at the end of the
- 6:22Speaker 3: day that you can move on from.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Yes, And I wish she had. She was so close
- 6:28Speaker 2: to just being like why have you never given me
- 6:32Speaker 2: a chance? Because that's the question? Yeah, you know that
- 6:37Speaker 2: is really the question that is there, is like why
- 6:40Speaker 2: am I not considered by you? And I thought she
- 6:44Speaker 2: did a good job of saying, like I'm taking responsibility.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Actually feel bad that I said that. I said that because, yeah,
- 6:51Speaker 2: I want to get back at you because you actively
- 6:54Speaker 2: don't accept me on a TV show that we're both on,
- 6:57Speaker 2: and you've never made an inroad towards me.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Yeah, and just and just putting a wall up and
- 7:02Speaker 3: not even wanting to argue about it. That's why it's
- 7:04Speaker 3: gone on for so long.
- 7:06Speaker 1: We cannot move.
- 7:08Speaker 3: No, we can't. And it's annoying as well. It's ridiculous.
- 7:12Speaker 3: It's so uninteresting too, Like you could be fighting about
- 7:15Speaker 3: something completely separate that would be more interesting for everyone
- 7:19Speaker 3: and the show. If you could at least move on
- 7:22Speaker 3: from this, maybe you could fight about something that's actually
- 7:24Speaker 3: between you two instead of about other people.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Right, And so I do feel like herb saying it plainly,
- 7:33Speaker 2: there's no butt. I'm sorry for what I said. Yeah,
- 7:37Speaker 2: he did seem to at the end find his way
- 7:41Speaker 2: to something with her, you know, so I think that
- 7:44Speaker 2: was some kind of movement, But I just overall, I'm
- 7:47Speaker 2: just not impressed, Like, it's not cool. It's the worst
- 7:50Speaker 2: feeling in the world. That is the worst feeling in
- 7:54Speaker 2: the world, where someone just denies your existence essentially.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Well, it's the deepest insult.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's so immature of him to act like
- 8:07Speaker 3: that when he is older, more situated on this show,
- 8:11Speaker 3: more you know, more of a veteran. So yes, I
- 8:17Speaker 3: found that his It was interesting to hear him talk
- 8:21Speaker 3: about like therapy and stuff like that. And look, he
- 8:23Speaker 3: is a case study. Watching him as an absolute interesting
- 8:28Speaker 3: journey to be on and who knows what I mean
- 8:31Speaker 3: him in Austin talk about a toxic.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Friendship, you know.
- 8:34Speaker 3: I mean if they weren't on this show together, they
- 8:37Speaker 3: would never be friends, right.
- 8:39Speaker 2: I mean I think it would have been. They wouldn't
- 8:42Speaker 2: have had to try and keep figuring it out.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Yeah, what about when Charlie was like trying to argue, like, no,
- 8:51Speaker 3: we weren't together. No, I didn't say that. And yeah,
- 8:54Speaker 3: so they had two different stories, which is always strange
- 8:57Speaker 3: to me. Which means somebody, Yeah, that means I'm with Charlie.
- 9:04Speaker 2: She's on planet Earth. Sorry, she she is firmly, her
- 9:08Speaker 2: feet are on the ground. He acted like an insane person,
- 9:13Speaker 2: and she was like, yeah, I'm not interested anymore. It's
- 9:15Speaker 2: very simple, very simple. They had a little something going on.
- 9:20Speaker 2: They went on a few dates. He made it way
- 9:23Speaker 2: more than it was because he's like a like a
- 9:25Speaker 2: four year old when it comes to women. I believe
- 9:30Speaker 2: her when she said she was on riot.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I told him.
- 9:34Speaker 3: I believe her when she said, he said, you can
- 9:37Speaker 3: kiss me now if you want.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Weird, it's arrogant, it's there.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I didn't think of I'd so turned off. Oh my gosh, gross,
- 9:50Speaker 1: so gross.
- 9:51Speaker 2: I wouldn't I would be stuck on stupid like.
- 9:54Speaker 1: U, yeah, what.
- 9:58Speaker 3: I'd been like, Okay, you can open the front door
- 10:01Speaker 3: for me, because I'm going to be leading now.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I'll do Yeah.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Austin and Sally, what do you think about Sally just
- 10:14Speaker 3: really holding tight to wanting to be with Austin but
- 10:18Speaker 3: really playing her cards the way that she thinks that
- 10:22Speaker 3: he wants them to be played by, like not saying
- 10:25Speaker 3: any much has happened. Still kind of his biggest fan.
- 10:30Speaker 3: He I do appreciate him not telling the world about what,
- 10:34Speaker 3: if anything happened between them, if they did, whatever is
- 10:37Speaker 3: they did.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I absolutely appreciate that.
- 10:40Speaker 3: It's expected that a group of people on this show
- 10:43Speaker 3: are going to be.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Like, soya after don't lie about it.
- 10:47Speaker 3: It's like, okay, well, I mean, do you really think
- 10:49Speaker 3: it's classy to say that you did.
- 10:51Speaker 2: I have a little darker take on that, which is
- 10:54Speaker 2: that I think he doesn't want to say it because
- 10:56Speaker 2: he doesn't want his ax to hear it. That's really
- 10:59Speaker 2: where his motivation is coming from.
- 11:02Speaker 3: You're right, Oh wow, you're right, of course.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I mean maybe there's a little bit, but I think
- 11:09Speaker 2: that's the genuine But I also.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Don't think that's dark I think that's still respectful.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Yeah, do you he's well, I think that he's that
- 11:19Speaker 2: kind of guy that like, now that she's gone, he
- 11:22Speaker 2: misses her and he wants her back, but they would
- 11:26Speaker 2: be in the same position that they would, you know,
- 11:28Speaker 2: So what do I think? I think I'm not impressed.
- 11:36Speaker 1: You know, I was so impressed and now I am not.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I am not void. Did I just get turned around?
- 11:43Speaker 1: I appreciate that now it's just disgusting. It's not right.
- 11:47Speaker 1: It's not right.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Oh my god. Yeah, okay, Yeah, I mean I think
- 11:54Speaker 2: he's also like knows Sally's so far gone that god damn.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I mean I did feel bad for her by the
- 12:02Speaker 2: end of the episode, between Vanita not wanting to take
- 12:05Speaker 2: pictures with her and this guy not wanting to say
- 12:08Speaker 2: he like, you know, wants any girl.
- 12:13Speaker 3: When you put it like that, that's bad.
- 12:16Speaker 1: That's terrible. Yeah, that's bad.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Charlie not you know, you know, it's just one after another.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Yeah, she can't. She can't catch a break at that reunion.
- 12:26Speaker 3: So no, Well, it's over. Southern Charm is over, and
- 12:31Speaker 3: all our eyes are on Summer House. But now it's
- 12:34Speaker 3: time to move into below deck down under. Well, we
- 12:41Speaker 3: have got to talk about honey dolling booboo, sweetee pie
- 12:49Speaker 3: and Ellie, who holy ship did she go off?
- 12:53Speaker 2: Can ever call Elena?
- 12:56Speaker 1: My name is Elena or Ellie. I'm not bunny, I'm
- 12:59Speaker 1: not any.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Okay, there's nothing better that I enjoyed that way too much. Look,
- 13:07Speaker 3: I am not saying that she should have gone off
- 13:10Speaker 3: like that. I do think she took it too far,
- 13:12Speaker 3: for sure, but she was one hundred percent triggered over
- 13:17Speaker 3: and over again. And did I get pleasure in watching
- 13:21Speaker 3: her put him in his place? I mean, like, yes,
- 13:25Speaker 3: that was so enjoyable. Oh my god. And his face
- 13:28Speaker 3: was like, oh, potatoes, skin, the potatoes, oh great, the
- 13:34Speaker 3: palmejan like he was shaking in his chef coat like
- 13:38Speaker 3: we've never seen. Even when he said later like I've
- 13:41Speaker 3: think I met my match, I'm like, well, maybe I did.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Mohammad Ali, you know, and I've lost and I won.
- 13:49Speaker 2: I mean that was watching them too. I'm like, this
- 13:54Speaker 2: is some War of the Roses shit. This is shit
- 13:59Speaker 2: that like, you make a move. This is the relationship
- 14:02Speaker 2: dynamic that you can do fifteen years of a sickcommon.
- 14:08Speaker 3: You know, Like, my god, you are so right. It
- 14:12Speaker 3: is chemistry. Hire, it's chemist.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Chemistry, you know. Wow wow wow. Yeah, they are equally
- 14:26Speaker 2: matched in their I don't know, it's just electric.
- 14:33Speaker 1: It is.
- 14:34Speaker 3: I completely This is not a pattern that I live
- 14:38Speaker 3: my life by anymore. But there are many times in
- 14:41Speaker 3: my life where I have lived this way, similar to Ellie,
- 14:45Speaker 3: in that I will let something build up and build
- 14:48Speaker 3: up and build up, and like it's not the right
- 14:52Speaker 3: time in place to bring it up. Yeah, and then
- 14:55Speaker 3: once it's over, I am too weak my and scared
- 15:02Speaker 3: or whatever the emotion is to bring it up at
- 15:05Speaker 3: the right time and handle it in the appropriate way.
- 15:08Speaker 3: So I have been absolutely in that place where I
- 15:12Speaker 3: just let it all fester and then it's like boom explosions.
- 15:17Speaker 3: It's just like fourth of July, you know. And it's
- 15:22Speaker 3: not it's not a good feeling. I mean, it feels
- 15:27Speaker 3: kind of good, you know, to get it all off
- 15:29Speaker 3: your chest.
- 15:29Speaker 1: It's like and.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Another thing and another thing, you know, and it is
- 15:34Speaker 3: has a bamboozling effect and a shock effect on the
- 15:37Speaker 3: other person, like you can't believe because they thought that
- 15:42Speaker 3: you were totally fine.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Right, They're looking at you and you're you seem right
- 15:48Speaker 2: as red.
- 15:48Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, yeah right, Yeah, no hint that you were
- 15:53Speaker 3: bothered by honey or booboo, nothing, not one mention of it. Yeah,
- 16:00Speaker 3: but he pushed her to the to a point like
- 16:02Speaker 3: I think she may have dealt with that for a
- 16:05Speaker 3: longer period of time if he hadn't screwed up in
- 16:07Speaker 3: another department. But here's the thing. The honey, the booboo,
- 16:10Speaker 3: the blah blah blah wasn't really the issue.
- 16:14Speaker 1: It was the other issue.
- 16:15Speaker 3: And that's it's always another issue that sets something off,
- 16:18Speaker 3: you know what I mean. And that's that's how I've
- 16:19Speaker 3: learned as I've done the work on myself, what I've
- 16:22Speaker 3: learned is that you really just can't bury these things,
- 16:26Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. So if something happens, you
- 16:28Speaker 3: can't bury those emotions. And it happened with me and
- 16:30Speaker 3: more of a toxic relationship where I had more fear
- 16:33Speaker 3: of the other person. So that was a pattern in
- 16:36Speaker 3: which that the whole situation was was debunked, if you will.
- 16:40Speaker 1: With Brett.
- 16:42Speaker 3: I definitely brought in some of those patterns, but nowhere
- 16:45Speaker 3: near to that degree. And his response would be like
- 16:51Speaker 3: where is this coming from?
- 16:53Speaker 2: Like yeah, like there's no connective tissue.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Yeah, he's like, what I thought that, Like, why didn't
- 16:59Speaker 3: you something to me or whatever? I'm like, because this
- 17:02Speaker 3: and there's there's always reasons or excuses, and they're just excuses.
- 17:05Speaker 3: And the bottom line is is that there can't be
- 17:07Speaker 3: any excuses.
- 17:09Speaker 1: You either say it.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Then or you or you get over it because it's
- 17:14Speaker 3: really not fair to anybody because you're kind of fucking
- 17:16Speaker 3: yourself too. So it's like, when I need something from Brett,
- 17:20Speaker 3: I don't hold back anymore, you know. And this is
- 17:22Speaker 3: something I figured out a long time ago, which is
- 17:24Speaker 3: a great thing, and it's still sometimes hard to do
- 17:27Speaker 3: because I don't want to like ask something like and
- 17:31Speaker 3: then it ends up like, oh, I'm the hero, I'm
- 17:33Speaker 3: the saint because I do all of this blah blah blah.
- 17:35Speaker 1: That's all bullshit. I don't want to be a saint
- 17:37Speaker 1: or a hero anymore, you know what I mean.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Yeah, So it's instead of walking away from the kitchen
- 17:43Speaker 3: after I did all the dishes and I did the laundry,
- 17:46Speaker 3: and I did this, and I did that and I
- 17:48Speaker 3: did the other thing, and well, I'm gonna go in
- 17:50Speaker 3: my room now because I'm tired, you know. And it's like,
- 17:53Speaker 3: oh no, nothing's wrong. You know, it's like, why, what's
- 17:57Speaker 3: my problem? What am I holding on? Yah? It's going
- 18:00Speaker 3: to be giving me a crown for this behavior. Nobody's coming.
- 18:04Speaker 2: And the other thing is like men don't pick up
- 18:06Speaker 2: on them.
- 18:07Speaker 1: They don't. They don't, Oh my god, do they not.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Not even a little bit. So it's like you did
- 18:13Speaker 2: a whole shebang. You did a whole performance that was.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Not literally no audience, no, no, not received. And there's
- 18:21Speaker 3: not going to be a review, not even a bad review,
- 18:24Speaker 3: you know.
- 18:24Speaker 2: No, they're just it's great.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Nothing happened there, Nothing happened. And you know what, you
- 18:31Speaker 3: got to realize. This is what you realize.
- 18:33Speaker 2: I'm no queen.
- 18:37Speaker 1: So now it's.
- 18:40Speaker 3: I know you're tired because you just got home from work,
- 18:43Speaker 3: but I really need you to please get Maddie's bath
- 18:47Speaker 3: going because I have eight hundred things I need to do,
- 18:49Speaker 3: you know. And and then instead of like feeling bad
- 18:53Speaker 3: that I'm because see I normally i'd be like I'd
- 18:55Speaker 3: feel bad because he just had a really busy day
- 18:58Speaker 3: and like he's stressed out and he's got a a
- 19:00Speaker 3: hundred things to do, It's like, well I do too,
- 19:02Speaker 3: And we're both busy people, so I just need to
- 19:05Speaker 3: communicate more.
- 19:06Speaker 1: And once I unlocked that, oh yeah, yeah, what a
- 19:10Speaker 1: great life, you.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Know, cooking, Yeah, we're cooking.
- 19:15Speaker 1: So anyway, her freak out was just a delight.
- 19:19Speaker 3: And then it was like, now, let's try to pull back.
- 19:22Speaker 1: But once you're there, you're gone and you can't pull back.
- 19:25Speaker 1: She was so done. Yeah, baby, gone gone.
- 19:29Speaker 2: I have a question for you because, as I told
- 19:32Speaker 2: you last night, I'm parachuting into below deck down. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 19:39Speaker 2: my husband is actually watching, so like I've caught some
- 19:43Speaker 2: of it, but I haven't, you know how because to me,
- 19:49Speaker 2: the idea of pairing now Ellie from my experience with her,
- 19:55Speaker 2: and she is one of the most wild characters we've
- 19:58Speaker 2: ever had in our lives.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Yeah, the idea.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Of her being an assistant chef is already feels wild.
- 20:08Speaker 2: So how did we get there? Did she have?
- 20:10Speaker 3: Like how did she know Alici, the girl Alicia with
- 20:14Speaker 3: the red lips who came in and yes, yeah, and Ellie's.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Like, I put them in a place for both of us.
- 20:22Speaker 3: And so because Alicia was his sue chef before, okay,
- 20:28Speaker 3: and she had to leave the situation because it was
- 20:31Speaker 3: such a toxic environment.
- 20:33Speaker 2: So she gave her a little happy dance.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 20:37Speaker 3: And so then they brought Ellie and Elliet was supposed
- 20:40Speaker 3: to come in I think, to be a replacement for
- 20:42Speaker 3: a stew for interior, and then they moved her to
- 20:45Speaker 3: the Sue Sue chef and then Alicia took over on
- 20:49Speaker 3: the interior. So that's how they got her. She wasn't
- 20:52Speaker 3: originally supposed to be in there.
- 20:54Speaker 2: You know, does she have any experience in the culinary world.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Well, if you saw from this episode, if you've seen
- 21:00Speaker 3: from others, you will have noticed that she's great in
- 21:03Speaker 3: the kitchen. She's an incredible worker's she grew up in
- 21:07Speaker 3: a bakery basically, like she spent a summer in a bakery.
- 21:09Speaker 3: That's why she could make that wedding cake.
- 21:11Speaker 2: I thought it was amazing. I just didn't know if
- 21:15Speaker 2: this was like on the job.
- 21:16Speaker 1: No, it was.
- 21:17Speaker 3: It is on the job training pretty much. She hasn't
- 21:20Speaker 3: been that that, but she's a really good worker and
- 21:23Speaker 3: she knows how to do things at an expedient pace
- 21:26Speaker 3: and do what but him being like the all the
- 21:31Speaker 3: balls now, like, oh baby, you know, I started to think,
- 21:34Speaker 3: like did the producers tell him it's really irritating her
- 21:39Speaker 3: that you're calling her honey and sweetie. So we think
- 21:43Speaker 3: there might be something there that you got we could
- 21:45Speaker 3: get out of it because he's really doing it like
- 21:48Speaker 3: a lot, And so I was thinking would they have
- 21:52Speaker 3: done that? But then he didn't know how bad it
- 21:56Speaker 3: actually was. I don't think he knew what he was
- 21:59Speaker 3: going to be delivered now, you know what? Someone like
- 22:02Speaker 3: him and he is a piece of work. Yeah, okay,
- 22:07Speaker 3: I have We've talked about this before. I worked in
- 22:10Speaker 3: restaurants a really long time. The craziest I've ever been
- 22:13Speaker 3: in my life is with chefs Y. We both worked
- 22:17Speaker 3: in restaurants and we both have that in common. And
- 22:20Speaker 3: we're not going to speak for all of them, but
- 22:21Speaker 3: the ones, the experience that we've had, they've all been insane, crazy, mad, angry.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and like it doesn't mesh with my personality, Like
- 22:29Speaker 2: it it evokes in me something that is so combative
- 22:34Speaker 2: and not unlike what we saw with Elly. Uh, you know,
- 22:40Speaker 2: it just maybe delivered differently, but like it evokes fury,
- 22:45Speaker 2: like it's just not a match. It's like whatever that is,
- 22:48Speaker 2: it ain't for me, you know. Like no, and I
- 22:52Speaker 2: think he's so tricky and arrogant and also can be
- 22:56Speaker 2: funny and cool, but like and talented. But you know
- 23:00Speaker 2: that that that woof? I mean just I did die
- 23:06Speaker 2: that He after that, he said, I am. And he's
- 23:11Speaker 2: making eggs that are literally dripping with water. You know,
- 23:15Speaker 2: he's his eggs are showing what his body and mind
- 23:20Speaker 2: are feeling. Like it gets coming out in a scrambled egg.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Yes it is. You're right. That's how chefs cry.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Ye.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Daisy's like, I don't know what the fuck is going
- 23:35Speaker 3: on in here, but this fucking egg has got tears
- 23:37Speaker 3: in it?
- 23:38Speaker 1: Can you fucking fixed this?

- 24:36Speaker 3: The sativa that I like is called durban zi kittles.

- 25:50Speaker 3: Oh my god. I mean, I do feel like she
- 25:54Speaker 3: handled it well. She came in at the right time
- 25:57Speaker 3: and was like, Okay, oh, we're gonna need.
- 26:01Speaker 1: You to leave now.
- 26:03Speaker 2: She's like, I'm in charge.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Yeah, she did great job and then also had to Yeah.
- 26:08Speaker 3: And she's really cool under pressure. And I did appreciate
- 26:11Speaker 3: her being in the cabin with Ellie and being.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Like, you consolve anything by losing your temper.
- 26:17Speaker 2: I thought when he said, I'm actually getting intimidated by
- 26:21Speaker 2: you right now. Right before he said that, I thought,
- 26:25Speaker 2: is she going to hit him?
- 26:26Speaker 1: Wow?
- 26:26Speaker 2: I actually wondered that. I'm like, she's getting real close. Yeah,
- 26:30Speaker 2: and she has I'm gonna haul off.
- 26:32Speaker 1: On she has that energy, yeah for sure.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:36Speaker 3: I mean, and and look she's seen and live some things,
- 26:39Speaker 3: so I get, I get, but she needs to uh
- 26:43Speaker 3: get into some good.
- 26:45Speaker 1: They both need therapy.
- 26:47Speaker 3: I'm not gonna just point it at Ellie, I mean clearly,
- 26:49Speaker 3: like but to have a trigger point, you know, we
- 26:52Speaker 3: all have them, we all have them. But I actually
- 26:56Speaker 3: did not really hear or understand the thing that she
- 27:00Speaker 3: was the most upset about, did you, because it wasn't
- 27:04Speaker 3: the honey the sweetie stuff is what she like, you know,
- 27:09Speaker 3: popped off on. But when she was like, I won't
- 27:12Speaker 3: have you speaking to me like that way, never ever,
- 27:15Speaker 3: ever ever, and He's like, what did I'll do baby like?
- 27:18Speaker 3: And so it must have been something else that had
- 27:21Speaker 3: to do with like the cooking, because later on she
- 27:23Speaker 3: explained if we if I would have known, I could
- 27:26Speaker 3: have prioritized because I think she said, like, I would
- 27:29Speaker 3: have prioritized this instead of that, right, And then he
- 27:33Speaker 3: said something.
- 27:34Speaker 2: No, I'm just I'm sorry, I'm like dying of this
- 27:37Speaker 2: dynamic is just he it's so funny.
- 27:42Speaker 1: It was a matter of time, I mean.
- 27:45Speaker 2: And then chef, I mean the captain sort of lurking
- 27:48Speaker 2: about trying to get an eye on things, him needing
- 27:52Speaker 2: to go get Eminem's you know, after and just like
- 27:56Speaker 2: get back to one, you know, like could the regular
- 28:00Speaker 2: he had to regulate. He was like, give me a.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Handful when he kept sneaking around the corner, like making
- 28:07Speaker 3: sure everything goes okay. That's how I felt when Maddie's
- 28:10Speaker 3: like has a friend over and they're not getting along,
- 28:13Speaker 3: or like they're on a FaceTime and they're not getting
- 28:15Speaker 3: along because they're gaming, and I'm like, I'm outside the door,
- 28:18Speaker 3: going all right, when do I step in? Yeah, see
- 28:22Speaker 3: if they figure this out. Let's see if they figure
- 28:24Speaker 3: this out. Okay, I'm gonna have to go in, you.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Know, yeah, Oh my god. It was delightful to see
- 28:33Speaker 2: him Chef Ben so rattled and so unsettled. Listen was
- 28:45Speaker 2: the right time and place moments before dinner service. That
- 28:51Speaker 2: was really hard.
- 28:53Speaker 3: And she's not experienced in the kitchen, so that takes
- 28:57Speaker 3: it to a whole different level, Like you don't even
- 29:00Speaker 3: know better at that point to bury it until after
- 29:04Speaker 3: third course is out, like even second course, so she
- 29:08Speaker 3: doesn't even know.
- 29:10Speaker 1: And he's like, we don't do this, baby, we throw
- 29:13Speaker 1: the pulse after we sove you know, like.
- 29:18Speaker 3: I think about I'm sorry, I don't mean to put
- 29:20Speaker 3: you off, but I'm before I forget. I wonder how
- 29:24Speaker 3: triggered he must have been, because he has he's been
- 29:27Speaker 3: physically abused in the kitchen, so with her popping off
- 29:31Speaker 3: on him like that, and it probably triggered his past.
- 29:38Speaker 3: And when he got a fucking hot pot thrown at
- 29:41Speaker 3: his skull, Remember he's talked about that. Oh so now
- 29:46Speaker 3: that I'm thinking about him and I'm laughing, But I
- 29:49Speaker 3: didn't really think about that at all until right now.
- 29:52Speaker 3: And I mean that's not cool either. I mean, we
- 29:54Speaker 3: don't want to hurt each other or bring up abuse.
- 29:57Speaker 3: But what I see when I pull back, I see
- 29:59Speaker 3: two people who have been abused like right, and have
- 30:02Speaker 3: had really hard lives, so you see their issues coming forward.
- 30:07Speaker 3: It's amazing that this is even on reality television because
- 30:11Speaker 3: that puts a whole other element to it. And they're
- 30:14Speaker 3: not even really performing. That's the other thing.
- 30:17Speaker 2: No, no, ma'am, No, that was as honest as could be.
- 30:24Speaker 2: And what also made it feel like the stuff that
- 30:28Speaker 2: like a you know, long running sitcom is made of.
- 30:31Speaker 2: And I'm not to you know, I think your points
- 30:34Speaker 2: are very valid. And then that's where we saw the
- 30:37Speaker 2: running eggs and the you know, he was, he was
- 30:40Speaker 2: he thought she was going to hit him. I do
- 30:42Speaker 2: believe that.
- 30:43Speaker 1: I do now that. Yeah, I think you're right.
- 30:46Speaker 2: But then when they had to do their recovery work,
- 30:49Speaker 2: the next recovery work, No, that was some of that
- 30:58Speaker 2: was the funniest I've ever seen in my life. Like
- 31:03Speaker 2: he was gassing her up.
- 31:06Speaker 1: But I thought that was really good.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like, you know what, guess what it worked.
- 31:14Speaker 2: He had to he had to sit with self that night,
- 31:18Speaker 2: crisscross apple sauce and figure out how to proceed because
- 31:24Speaker 2: this girl, no one, no one has gotten him sorted
- 31:31Speaker 2: like this girl.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Has ever ever.
- 31:33Speaker 3: I mean like he hasn't been in that situation since
- 31:36Speaker 3: his early days of being a sous chef himself, right
- 31:40Speaker 3: thirty years probably.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Probably since someone put him on his heels in such
- 31:46Speaker 2: a fashion. So he just really regrouped.
- 31:52Speaker 3: You know, when she killed with kindness, kinds worked and
- 31:57Speaker 3: she had something that she ps it worked, she did
- 32:00Speaker 3: something she loved with that cake gorgeous and you know what,
- 32:04Speaker 3: it's a beautiful thing. Food can bring people together. Work
- 32:08Speaker 3: and a craft, anything with your hands, you know, Yes,
- 32:12Speaker 3: it can fix the mind by doing something, And when
- 32:15Speaker 3: she showed up in that Kitchendiana and she was like,
- 32:18Speaker 3: put me to work.
- 32:18Speaker 1: What can I do?
- 32:20Speaker 3: It was like, you know, punching in, but it was
- 32:22Speaker 3: more like an army. Uh huh, Like which weapon do you.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Want me to halt?
- 32:28Speaker 3: It was like, shit, she's ready to fight. But she's ready,
- 32:31Speaker 3: She's gonna show up. And it's such an insult to
- 32:34Speaker 3: her because she takes work so seriously and with so
- 32:39Speaker 3: much respect. Like when Ben was going to bring in
- 32:42Speaker 3: Mike or whatever to Joao to bring in the rotation
- 32:45Speaker 3: of plates and she's like.
- 32:46Speaker 1: That just my job. I won't have it. I was
- 32:51Speaker 1: like holy.
- 32:52Speaker 3: He was like, ah right, baby, I mean ally, uh right,
- 32:55Speaker 3: just rotate that.
- 32:56Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, my god, you know it did.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it did have a color. It's like you can't
- 33:03Speaker 2: say these words are ingrained in his body. These it's
- 33:08Speaker 2: part of how he Those are his eminem's, you know,
- 33:12Speaker 2: like saying sweetie baby, sugar pie. That's how he gets through.
- 33:17Speaker 2: It's a vibe. I don't mind it personally. I would
- 33:22Speaker 2: probably probably work on me and it would work for me.
- 33:26Speaker 3: You know.
- 33:35Speaker 2: So he's also having to it's almost like saying you
- 33:40Speaker 2: can't use the word uh you know, right, yeah, do
- 33:46Speaker 2: your service. Cook. You can't say the word cook. You
- 33:49Speaker 2: can't say food. You can't save knife, right now, go ahead, now,
- 33:53Speaker 2: go ahead and do your job. So he's also having
- 33:56Speaker 2: a oh my work, use this harder than he's ever
- 34:04Speaker 2: had to. They may end up together, Amy, I mean
- 34:09Speaker 2: they may well.
- 34:11Speaker 1: I don't know. If they could end up together, they
- 34:13Speaker 1: would kill each other.
- 34:14Speaker 2: I do know, they may be the best thing that's
- 34:17Speaker 2: ever happened to each other, because they may figure things
- 34:20Speaker 2: out together. Like I know, he will spend months laying
- 34:26Speaker 2: in bed thinking about her period. This will be a
- 34:31Speaker 2: long time before he releases. And I think there was
- 34:33Speaker 2: a part of him that was turned on I do,
- 34:36Speaker 2: I do, Yeah, for sure.
- 34:37Speaker 3: I mean she's a beautiful woman, so I mean that's
- 34:40Speaker 3: also I mean it's like a dominatrix. She basically comes
- 34:44Speaker 3: into the kitchen like a dominatrix.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it may have activated a fetish for him something
- 34:50Speaker 2: some you know, a latent.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Now let's get back to the darling sweete thing, because
- 34:57Speaker 3: I just want to mention that it it's interesting that
- 35:00Speaker 3: at this point in the world where we are with
- 35:05Speaker 3: me too, and I know that essay is completely different
- 35:09Speaker 3: than these pet names. However, women don't want to be
- 35:13Speaker 3: spoken to like that anymore. Like even back in the
- 35:16Speaker 3: fucking eighties, we had our shoulder pads on and we're like,
- 35:19Speaker 3: don't call me dolly, you know, like we we've made strides.
- 35:22Speaker 3: So here he is in the kitchen and I know
- 35:24Speaker 3: it's a different type of business, but he doesn't know
- 35:27Speaker 3: to start lightening up on these pet names like come on.
- 35:32Speaker 3: And then to your point, it wouldn't be triggering to me, no,
- 35:37Speaker 3: like it would be for her.
- 35:38Speaker 1: But I get why it would be for most women,
- 35:41Speaker 1: and it should be sure.
- 35:43Speaker 2: It's like listen, it depends who's saying it. But that
- 35:48Speaker 2: all like, yes, as I said, it would.
- 35:51Speaker 3: Work for me, but like I would, I would work harder.
- 35:57Speaker 3: I mean no, I mean I probably would. No, I
- 36:00Speaker 3: probably it would work for me. From him, why, I
- 36:03Speaker 3: don't know, you know it. But all in it is
- 36:08Speaker 3: an important lesson for him because it isn't the time,
- 36:11Speaker 3: it isn't the place.
- 36:12Speaker 2: You have to get a handle on that, and it
- 36:16Speaker 2: is like breathing for him. And this is where men
- 36:19Speaker 2: get real confused, because they have to pivot out of
- 36:23Speaker 2: behavior that is ingrained. Yes, and it's hard.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Now, if he were the Sioux chef and she were
- 36:30Speaker 3: the chef, he couldn't speak to her like that.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Right, No, no.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Now what if she was speaking to him like that?
- 36:39Speaker 2: Listen, these are hypotheticals that I can't figure out.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Well, you're gonna happen. You're gonna have to today. It
- 36:47Speaker 3: is happening. Hold on, okay, you be you be Ben Okay, okay,
- 36:54Speaker 3: I'll just do Austin Powers Okay. Okay, are you are
- 37:02Speaker 3: you slicing the onions?
- 37:04Speaker 2: Honey?
- 37:05Speaker 1: Sorry, I forgot to say this. I forgot to say
- 37:07Speaker 1: the pet name. See, I'm not used to it. It's
- 37:09Speaker 1: so not normal for women.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Okay, right, honey.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Baby, sweet hot sweet cheeks? Are you are you? Are
- 37:14Speaker 1: you caught in the onions? Yeah?
- 37:18Speaker 2: Doland, I am. So.
- 37:23Speaker 1: They just talk back and forth like.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Just I tried to bring it down a notch, but
- 37:28Speaker 2: just also like, okay, let me try it one more time.
- 37:32Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 37:32Speaker 1: I think you kind of nailed it.
- 37:33Speaker 3: It was very un Okay, it was understated, you know. Yeah, yeah,
- 37:38Speaker 3: but that would be weird because she wouldn't do that, right.
- 37:43Speaker 2: No, it's it's a time and a place, you know
- 37:46Speaker 2: that listen, an older woman can honey, sweetie pie, sugar
- 37:52Speaker 2: baby me up as much as they want. It is
- 37:57Speaker 2: site specific, it's person specific. But as a general rule,
- 38:01Speaker 2: if you can't manage it, which I don't think he can,
- 38:06Speaker 2: you're going to have a problem working in twenty twenty six.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Yeah, even on a yacht, Even on a yacht where
