Last time we covered 'di mana' for 'where'. Today, it's all about time. Luna: Time? Are we talking about clocks? Lucas: Kind of. We're learning 'bila' – that's 'when' in Malay. Super useful for making plans. Luna: Oh, I love making plans. So, 'bila' – like, 'when are we meeting?' Lucas: Exactly. Lucas: Great. Now, how would you ask 'When is he coming?' – 'Dia' is 'he', 'datang' is 'come'. So, 'Bila dia datang?' Luna: Bila dia datang? That sounds nice. Let me try. Bila dia datang? Lucas: Perfect. And if you don't know the answer, you can say 'Saya tidak tahu' – 'I don't know.' Luna: Saya tidak tahu. That's a handy one. I say that a lot. Lucas: I bet. But if you really want to know, you'd say 'Saya mahu tahu' – 'I want to know.' Luna: Saya mahu tahu. I want to know. So I could say, 'Bila dia datang? Saya mahu tahu.' Lucas: Exactly. And the answer might be 'Esok' – that means 'tomorrow.' Luna: Esok. So, 'Bila dia datang?' 'Esok.' That's a whole conversation right there. Lucas: You got it. Let's hear it one more time. Bila dia datang? Luna: Bila dia datang? Lucas: And the answer, Esok. Luna: Esok. Easy. So, is 'bila' used for any kind of 'when' question? Lucas: Yes, it's very flexible. You can ask 'Bila kita makan?' – 'When do we eat?' Luna: Oh, I like that one. Bila kita makan? I'm always ready to eat. Lucas: That's the spirit. So today we learned 'bila', 'Bila dia datang?', 'Saya tidak tahu', 'Saya mahu tahu', and 'Esok'. Luna: I feel like I can already ask for more info in Malay. Bila kita belajar lagi?
