- 0:11The yellow one, big bird and the yellow one.
- 0:33Set the energy level up, welcome to how Ebola, a muppet quiz show
- 0:39brought to you by tough pics.com.
- 0:41It's your favorite quiz show. That's not like the others here,
- 0:46Muppet fans, Muppet professionals, and everyone in
- 0:49between competes for fabulous prizes.
- 0:53And to see who's this week's toughest Pig.
- 0:56I'm your host. Becca petunia of tough pics.com.
- 1:00Today on homo, wha I bought a lot of old Sesame Street stuff
- 1:04on eBay and Amazon and I'm going to make that your problem
- 1:07instead of mine. That's right.
- 1:12It's a Sesame Street grab-bag inspired by things.
- 1:15My fiance probably wishes. I hadn't just bought to clutter
- 1:18the apartment way. It's gonna be a weird one.
- 1:22It's gonna be a weird one folks, but like Sesame Street.
- 1:25There's nothing like it. As always, these questions were
- 1:29written by By me with help from that amazing Muppet resource
- 1:32Muppet Wiki and this time with some help from the Sesame Street
- 1:37treasury, which I just bought a full collection of and keep by
- 1:41my desk. Now, I guess.
- 1:45No home is complete. Yeah, no not exactly.
- 1:50And speaking of things that we treasure, let's agree to play
- 1:53fair today. Please don't, look at Muppet
- 1:55Wiki or any other resource during this game.
- 1:59You guys have to I'm not that lucky.
- 2:01Oh, yeah, exactly, great. You're getting, you're getting
- 2:03in character. Aha, I'm glad that Joe doesn't
- 2:06know you guys. You guys have to show me that
- 2:11you're better than mean old Huxley.
- 2:15So you can only try and frankly it's not not that hard to be
- 2:20better than mean old Huxley. Yeah.
- 2:22Let's I like that. We're setting the bar low but
- 2:24are we better than adventures with Elmo and Grouchland as a
- 2:27whole? Hmm.
- 2:29As As a piece of media. I mean, I got so I've got some
- 2:33controversial person who likes that movie?
- 2:37No, no, you're the second person who likes it.
- 2:40I like that movie us and Nathan Rabin.
- 2:43Okay, there we go. I feel Justified.
- 2:48Now that we know that let's let's establish some other
- 2:51things that we know it's time for our first round, which we
- 2:55call to tell a face. Contestants you are going to
- 3:00buzz in to answer three questions about yourself.
- 3:04Whoever buzzes in first will get introduced first ready.
- 3:10Sure sure. Okay.
- 3:14We wait. Oh, it's practically living in
- 3:19its make sure the buzzer is working.
- 3:22No, it's okay, Louis. What's your name?
- 3:26My name is. Louis, Perlman backs.
- 3:29Nice to be on the show. It's great to have you lie, we
- 3:32missed you last season, we had most of the most of the tough
- 3:35pigs writers, except you, well, glad to be on.
- 3:39I guess, spoils the next question, which is what's your
- 3:43history with the Muppets? It's my history with the Muppets
- 3:47is that I'm a writer for tough pigs.
- 3:49I've been a muppet fan since the day.
- 3:51I was born and recently, I just finished a really cool writing
- 3:56project writing a Sesame Street themed podcast for Audible and
- 4:02Sesame Workshop. That's called Foley and friends.
- 4:06You can listen to season 2, which I contributed two episodes
- 4:09to Sout. Now, season three, which has
- 4:12three episodes that I Boat is out in the fall, they'll get
- 4:17pumped more than waiting for. I know it's three.
- 4:21It's again that was that cuz Sesame Street caught me to
- 4:24count. I can't wait for season 4 when
- 4:27you'll have four episodes. Hi one can only hope that I will
- 4:30have four episodes for season 4 will see what happens to and to
- 4:33put together but yeah, writing writing for our old, Pals was a
- 4:38magical experience. It was very exciting.
- 4:40So I'm very happy to be on the show proving that I really Did
- 4:44those character Bibles that they supplied me?
- 4:46Because we'll see how well I do with the minutiae of the
- 4:48questions you ask me backs. Oh, I'm listen.
- 4:51I'm very excited for the last round which is I won't spoil it
- 4:56but that's, that's exactly what we're, what we're looking for
- 4:59and Louis. What's your favorite Sesame
- 5:03Street song? Oh my gosh, at least of all
- 5:08time. Well, what's your favorite
- 5:09today? If you don't want the stress of,
- 5:12you know, you know, I'm a classicist and I really, really,
- 5:17really love somebody come out and play.
- 5:20I think that song stuck in my head for, like, three days.
- 5:24You're young there. Yeah, it's a real ear worm.
- 5:28And, you know, I love the story about how it was written that
- 5:31it's sort of mirroring Joe raposo Zone, childhood being
- 5:35stuck inside learning how to play the piano.
- 5:38I think that's so cool. You know, and he's sort of it's
- 5:41so wistful. It captures such a Elements of
- 5:44childhood. A lot of other kids media
- 5:46doesn't really touch. So, yeah, I love that song.
- 5:50It's a good choice. All right.
- 5:52So Louis you have earned 20 points for 03 questions.
- 5:59Joe, let's 3. That is more than three.
- 6:03It's even more than four and a half crazy.
- 6:07So let's move on to you, Joe. What's your name?
- 6:11My name is Joe. Demand Gessler, but they used to
- 6:14call. Me, 30, leave.
- 6:16What's your history with the Muppets?
- 6:17Joe, well, gee, I mean, I guess ever since I was like a little
- 6:24little little kid, I've always just had this real attachment to
- 6:29The Muppets and in particular Sesame Street because growing
- 6:33up, I mean, I'm on the autism spectrum and who I used to be in
- 6:40special. Ed, and sometimes I would little
- 6:43self-conscious. It's a little weird but Sesame
- 6:45Street would be around to show me that there's a place for
- 6:48people who are different. So like share celebrate.
- 6:51What makes them different and use that to come together and
- 6:55more than that. It was also through owning this
- 6:58book. I got right here, Sesame, Street
- 7:01unpaved that my parents had that I learned that there were people
- 7:06under those puppets and I was like, wow, it rather than
- 7:12traumatized me. I was like I To do that.
- 7:15And suddenly, it led me down, a path to being a gigantic nerd
- 7:19and a puppeteer. And as now I pray Sherm allowed
- 7:26to say this. I got a callback for Sesame
- 7:29Street, the musical so fingers crossed on that.
- 7:33But the fact is, yeah, that would be fulfilling a lifelong
- 7:38dream of doing something with a show.
- 7:41That means a whole lot to me and I'm definitely cello Oh, so you
- 7:44we that you get to do something like that already.
- 7:47I hope I also like can be lucky enough to give life to one of
- 7:51these great characters. I hope so too, Joe.
- 7:54And then I can go. See your show and clap for you
- 7:56and cry and then meet you backstage and cry.
- 8:00Of course, it's lots of crying that's really exciting.
- 8:03Matter of cool, be crying but he'll be crying harder.
- 8:07Yes if the wave plate but you know yeah.
- 8:11Oh yeah I mean certainly we She the best third question.
- 8:15What's your favorite Sesame Street song?
- 8:18At least right now. So for me it's a split of what I
- 8:23think the objective best song is versus my one.
- 8:28I enjoy the most because for the firmer I would say the former
- 8:33rather for the former, I would say little things, which is
- 8:37another really beautiful, very short, but very sweet.
- 8:41Joe raposo song It's not the version.
- 8:46I like the blunt best is the one he's sung on the show.
- 8:49I his voice just adds so much to it's a better than look for in
- 8:52Braille I love for a real but this is that's one of those
- 8:55songs like somebody come and play where it really just sounds
- 8:59the best with Joe raposo singing it, and I was just watching
- 9:02street gang again. So I just did like on a real
- 9:05Joe, raposo kick. But for the one I enjoy the
- 9:08most, that's I've had the same answer since I was 3, which is
- 9:11Duty rubber duck. I could watch that over.
- 9:14Over and over again. And it brings me the same amount
- 9:17of childish. Joy.
- 9:19As the first time I saw, it just makes me laugh so hard.
- 9:24It just, I don't know. It's it's muffins, dancing
- 9:27around in a bathtub. Like, you can't really go wrong
- 9:29with it. And it is also a song that like,
- 9:31many Sesame Street songs. Once it's in your head, it will
- 9:34never leave your head. Well, great choices.
- 9:39You also earn 20 points. So her a game is tied, that's
- 9:44good because I was worried. He to, I just like, that's one.
- 9:48Heck of a head start there. Yes, seriously.
- 9:52Well, speaking of Sesame Street songs.
- 9:55Let's move into our next round. You see, we were talking about
- 9:58how this episode today is inspired by random stuff.
- 10:02I keep buying, and I've been buying a lot of Sesame Street
- 10:06records lately because I'm sure my neighbors love, love it.
- 10:10When I blast telephone rock at 4:00 in the morning, my most
- 10:15prized Edition connection. It took me a minute because I
- 10:21got scared because I know, I know, I know,
- 10:35So far is this copy of Born to add which is of course my
- 10:41childhood favorites used to the Sadie one.
- 10:45But yeah that album nonetheless this is probably one of the last
- 10:49records they released before they shifted over to CDs and
- 10:53cassettes. Yeah, I'd have to imagine I mean
- 10:56I didn't actually check that on Muppet Wiki but just based on
- 11:00timing came out in 81, I think, yeah, nominated for a Grammy.
- 11:05Plus 2 ETA or something? I don't know.
- 11:08I mean look if you're gonna lose you might as well lose to ET, do
- 11:11you want to hear a tiny story about that?
- 11:13Al for sure. I wrote a little reference to it
- 11:20into some of the stage directions for a Foley episode
- 11:24and like some of the audio directions and the people I
- 11:28never got any response from Sesame Street like they didn't
- 11:31they didn't catch up. Catch the reference over at
- 11:33Sesame Street. Yeah, I Add an es Street Band
- 11:38style saxophone. It's love that.
- 11:44Yeah, well, as you guys know, born to add is a Sesame Street's
- 11:51first rock and roll themed album and it had a focus on song
- 11:56parodies, which got me thinking about Sesame Street song
- 12:00parodies, which we are going to explore in a game.
- 12:03I call I want my n TV and how you doing.
- 12:09I'm Nora, Nick's, you're hosed on NTV.
- 12:12The first channel that is all letter in all the time.
- 12:17N love it, in this round. I'll name a musician.
- 12:23Your job is to buzz in and name a parody of one of their songs
- 12:28that was performed on Sesame Street.
- 12:30This is interesting because we have to skip a step in our
- 12:33brains before we answer Mhm. Okay, right, right.
- 12:38Yeah. So, so we're including both
- 12:43sound alike songs and parody covers performed by the original
- 12:48artists Soca to be clear. If I said the Beatles, you could
- 12:54name. Hey, food, or letter B, but you
- 12:59couldn't say Yellow Submarine because that song was not a
- 13:03parody. It was just perform Formed in
- 13:06season one. Got it.
- 13:07Okay. Yeah.
- 13:09Likewise if I said Sheryl Crow you could say I soaks up the sun
- 13:16because that was a parody even though she sang it wasn't sung
- 13:21by a parody character or by Grover or something like that,
- 13:27right? So and everything's better, when
- 13:29Grover's each of these questions is worth two points.
- 13:33If neither of you can answer, Can provide a clue but then the
- 13:37question will be worth one point.
- 13:40All right? Yep.
- 13:41Are we ready as ready as we'll ever be?
- 13:45Okay, there we go. There we go.
- 13:47All right question, 1 Bruce Springsteen.
- 13:55Oh boring to add well actually Louis buzzed in first by mine.
- 14:00Um, but so Louis. I assumed you were going to say
- 14:05born to add. I was because I know, you know
- 14:08that, yes, I will say we can buzz buzz it again.
- 14:13Wait. Oh, I'll call your name when
- 14:15when you buzz in Joe, and, or Louis.
- 14:18Um, let's see if we can do, there's another Bruce
- 14:22Springsteen answer, I would have accepted Sound.
- 14:24So let's buzz in for that as well.
- 14:29Child that would. Yes, that would be Barn in the
- 14:32USA. That is born in the u.s.a. that
- 14:36when I did not know. So great.
- 14:39There we go. It's not as good as born to add
- 14:41but it's it's nice because it's one of those times where they're
- 14:45like, okay we're just going to literally get every Puppeteer
- 14:47available at the moment and just let him do something should be
- 14:51fair. Born in the Say is not as good
- 14:55of a song as Born to Run. If you, if you ask me, I agree.
- 14:59You are correct question to Madonna.
- 15:07Joe, that would be serial girl. That is cereal girl.
- 15:13Question 3. Carly Rae Jepsen.
- 15:20Joe share it. Maybe that is.
- 15:24Share it. Maybe you kill a nacho sorry.
- 15:28Louis. No, I'm not sorry.
- 15:31This is war. Yes, exactly.
- 15:33Question for r.e.m. Joe you actually buzzed at
- 15:42first. It was close furry.
- 15:46Happy Monsters that is furry Happy Monsters.
- 15:49I could feel guilty, I'm not. I'm not, nope, nope, it's War
- 15:53question 5, Norah Jones Joe. Don't know why it is don't know
- 16:02why as in the letter Y question 6 the Stones.
- 16:13Joe. I can't get no cooperation.
- 16:17Is I cannot get no cooperation question. 7, Michael Jackson.
- 16:26Joe Bad Wolf, The Bowl. That's the one from listen.
- 16:33This was not listed. Um, I believe this is not listed
- 16:36on the Michael Jackson page of Muppet Wiki.
- 16:42Let me check. Oh no, it was.
- 16:43Wow, I'm just completely wrong. JoJo, you absolutely get a point
- 16:46here. There was another one that I was
- 16:49thinking of that. So if either of you want to buzz
- 16:52in to try to get the other one. Gently, no, no.
- 16:55Sorry. I actually I got it confused.
- 16:58I was thinking of 19 which is a prince parity which is not, it's
- 17:03not Michael Jackson. So Lewis you take this one.
- 17:05If you know it, I don't think I do.
- 17:09Okay, it's wet or dry. Oh, great.
- 17:14So annoyed at myself. Yeah.
- 17:18Which sounds absolutely nothing like platform bless him.
- 17:23He tried. It's supposed to and certainly
- 17:26where they do the thing, where the war than those in the video
- 17:29where the actors are getting splashed with water and then
- 17:32they reverse. It is supposed to kind of look
- 17:35like in the black-and-white. Yeah.
- 17:37When the Laughing. Yeah.
- 17:38Well. I just realized that now for
- 17:40some reason, but the thing is, I, when they show it on
- 17:44International versions of Sesame Street, they cut out like Maria
- 17:48or mr. Hanford or whatever.
- 17:50But the thing I've always wondered is it makes it a little
- 17:53more repetitive and it's not like some kid in turkey's going
- 17:58to be like, who's that, that takes me out at the song.
- 18:02Like they just don't like to talk he's wet or dry or dry.
- 18:08Question 8, the Goo Goo Dolls. Joe Pride.
- 18:18It is pride which is a banger by the way that you want to ask me
- 18:23what the year. 1999 sounds like I imagined it sounds a lot like
- 18:28that Elmo. Elmo singing Pride.
- 18:31Much question 9 Melissa Etheridge.
- 18:39Joe, like the way you does, it is, like, the way you does from
- 18:45the great video, or it was on All-Star alphabet, which has
- 18:49Stephen Colbert, and Nicole Sullivan.
- 18:52As the letter z in a its quality content, I'll have to look for
- 18:58it question. 10 a song made famous by andreea Bocelli.
- 19:08Joe. So I went to give it a minute
- 19:10time. To say good night.
- 19:12It is time to say goodnight a parody of Time to Say Goodbye.
- 19:19Question 11 as made famous by Sammy Davis, Junior.
- 19:28Joe. There could be 2 here.
- 19:31There certainly could because there's and they're both by
- 19:35Frank Oz characters. There's, I got to be clean there
- 19:39is and there's me got to be blue.
- 19:42There is, as you get double points, give him double points
- 19:45and I think there might even be a third.
- 19:48Remarkably, they all the clothes.
- 19:50No, wait, no. Yeah knows.
- 19:52I gotta be me, but that doesn't really?
- 19:54Yeah, that's its own thing. And the final question in this
- 19:58round, Martin. Louis.
- 20:05Oh no. Damn it.
- 20:07Oh, what it is. I mean, I I'm trying to think
- 20:13it's probably a King Tut parity, I'd imagine.
- 20:17But the name of it, I don't have to steal.
- 20:21Yup, go for it. I'm sorry.
- 20:24Yeah. It's totally Tut.
- 20:25It is and it's great. It is, it's one of my favorite.
- 20:30So let it be written. So Let It Be Sung.
- 20:33It's so fun. And the best part is, I found it
- 20:35dubbed, in Egyptian Arabic, at least once language.
- 20:43The original product of Steve Martin's to see Martin's native
- 20:47language in Arabic, clearly, well, he did play.
- 20:51He did play an Egyptian in Prince of Egypt.
- 20:53Oh, that's true. Along with a whole lot of other
- 20:56white people. Sure did he and what you noted?
- 21:01Middle Eastern Val Kilmer. Yes, because because he and
- 21:04Martin Short were pharaohs lack. Yeah.
- 21:07I believe because it's always the two of them.
- 21:10Anyway, great remembering. Now, let's talk about the next
- 21:14piece of Sesame Street nonsense. I brought into my home.
- 21:17That's right. I bought this deck of Sesame
- 21:20Street flash cards because I saw them in a funny Tick Tock once.
- 21:26So, I've been thinking a lot about me, forget the alphabet.
- 21:29Yeah, I've been thinking a lot about letters because these
- 21:32cards are helping me learn about letters.
- 21:34Did was it? The Sesame Taro?
- 21:37Yes, it sure was great. That was very funny, right?
- 21:41I was going to Sit in the kids are using in the.
- 21:45And you know what? I've realized as I've been
- 21:48learning my letters. There are a lot of Sesame Street
- 21:51characters, whose names start with the letter B, which is why
- 21:56we're going to play one of our favorite games.
- 21:59Beat the time. This time beat the time is a
- 22:05head-to-head letter, b battle starting with Louis, you'll take
- 22:11turns. Naming Sesame Street characters,
- 22:14Muppets humans recurring animated figures whose names
- 22:21start with the letter B. If you can't remember that one
- 22:27wrong or take too long, your opponent will have a chance to
- 22:30steal how many characters are there.
- 22:34Well, Muppet Wiki has a full list and some of them nobody is
- 22:38going to get I'd say there are 12 that are not terribly,
- 22:45obscure and 20, others that are harder.
- 22:51Then there's the remainder, which I did not bother to put on
- 22:54this list. But if you name them, I will
- 22:56cross check with Muppet Wiki just in case.
- 22:59So probably about 12 to 30 somewhere in between is how many
- 23:07characters there are. We're going to Just Bounce
- 23:10before Since we're going to bounce back and forth.
- 23:13Starting with Louis Joe, Louis Joe, Louis Joe until either
- 23:20neither of you can name a character or we get two wrong
- 23:25answers in a row, although I'm not really sure how you would
- 23:27get a wrong answer here. Like maybe you didn't realize
- 23:32that Rosita doesn't start with the letter B because you don't
- 23:36know your alphabet but I think either you're not going to know
- 23:41Or you're going to get us there blood but yeah, great.
- 24:00Can you name a character whose name starts with the letter B?
- 24:04Bernice Bernice is on my list. Joe Big Bird.
- 24:11Big Bird is on my list. Are we just going to go back and
- 24:16forth? Are you going to say okay?
- 24:18Just go back and forth. This Berkeley Bert.
- 24:27Rad. Can I think of it starts with B?
- 24:44I'm gonna pass and go. Okay.
- 24:46Joe Name. Another Bruno.
- 24:48The trashman of course, of Gordo.
- 24:50The trashman on my list. Hmm.
- 24:55Remember humans count as well as do as do recurring animated
- 25:02characters? Yeah, trying to think of some
- 25:06animated segments that are some of my favs.
- 25:12I can think of one go for it. The bellhop the bellhop in the
- 25:18list like the guy in the sort of 30s Art Deco style and they show
- 25:27those all the time when I was a kid.
- 25:28Yep. How about how about a?
- 25:37It's gonna say Bell Mo but I think it's Elmo.
- 25:39I think it's just Elmo. Yeah, his name's just Elmo.
- 25:42It's a nice tank act. Easy, easy mistake to make.
- 25:45Yeah, definitely Joe. Do you have a character whose
- 25:49name starts with B, there's Billy Monster little pink guy
- 25:54who showed up all the time. There are layers not on my
- 25:58original list, right? That is that is a character
- 26:02Louis pulled that right from ideas for fun.
- 26:06Hmm. I'm trying to think of human
- 26:10characters to start with be. There are some Bob, Bob is one
- 26:14of them, huh? There's there's black AA who I
- 26:20believe is Oscars. Why is he nice?
- 26:24It's always a nice. Isn't it usually daughter?
- 26:26She's also apparently not related to Oskar Schindler.
- 26:31Yeah. But yes, I will be a disgrace.
- 26:35I will give you a point for that there.
- 26:38Is. What's Burt's?
- 26:42Niece's name? Joe.

- 27:50Yes! Bruce string bean on my list.
- 27:54There's the Beatles on my list. We talked about them earlier.
- 27:59Yeah it's like it's like it's chekhov's Beatles.
- 28:04It'll come back in the end. Do we count International says
- 28:07no I'm only counting local. Okay good we got to have some
- 28:11limits here. There's already said Bruno Oh

- 29:09There's one. Bluebird is Blue Bird.
- 29:12Big Bird painted blue from follow that.
- 29:14No. But made from the same puppet it
- 29:18was a thing. They did weirdly for a couple of
- 29:21bits in like the late 80s. Oh, you're still Birds
- 29:24superhero, Alter Ego. Oh cool, look at that.
- 29:30I I'll take it. but, Yeah. Alright.
- 29:36I think that's it. No one more one more time.
- 29:39So sorry. Sounds good.
- 29:40Okay, the last one to last ones. Beautiful day, monster.
- 29:46Yes. And B bifida is also on my list.
- 29:58All right, let that I'm pretty sure steam will start coming out
- 30:02of my ears if I keep going. So I'm just gonna I'll cap it
- 30:04there. Let me total, let me total the
- 30:07points as best as I can. I probably got a couple you did.
- 30:11I think you did pretty well. 56 years, I didn't.
- 30:14Okay. Yeah.
- 30:17Now I said the bellhop, I realized if they hit was give
- 30:20their there was probably a nice Dang the baker.
- 30:24I should have set the Bosher The Bakery Wade now but yeah, take
- 30:27her. I know, it's tears.
- 30:29Yeah, I felt so clever starting with Bernice, okay.
- 30:34I mean, I hadn't thought of Bernie's from the start.
- 30:36I knew that I would just start with a relatively obvious one
- 30:40and that would get the brain juices flowing.
- 30:42Well, so other ones that you guys forgot, first of all, from
- 30:46my list of at least fairly well-known characters.
- 30:52Betty Lou blog from Abby's Flying Fairy School right now.
- 30:57Don't know who that is, fine. You remember blog Buster the
- 31:02horse? Oh my Benny rabbit from the 90s.
- 31:08I love Benny and then I'm going to shoot through these real
- 31:10quick other things that I had on my list of less memorable.
- 31:14But memorable enough that I wrote them down unlike Bluebird
- 31:19or blacka. No offense, Joe All right, I
- 31:22have other ones that I wrote down here.
- 31:24Baby. Ray Franklin, baby tooth.
- 31:27Bernie's a broccoli Bertha. The big bad wolf.
- 31:30Big. Jeffy, Billy Idol.
- 31:33The Bono monster from spider monster.
- 31:35The music on? Yes, Buffy, Buffy, st.
- 31:40Clair the human Buffy, st. Marie Saint Marie.
- 31:45Thank you Buffy. St.
- 31:46Marie and Buddy of Buddy and Jim.
- 31:49I love buddy. And Jim well, no, I don't, but
- 31:52Like I acknowledge buddy engine. Yeah, buddy.
- 31:55And Jim is a thing that, you know about.
- 31:57So we are about to move into what will be our final regular
- 32:03game of, okay, right? Which is based off of my
- 32:08favorite Sesame Street thing, the aforementioned Sesame Street
- 32:11treasury books. If you don't know, these 15
- 32:16books were released in the early 80s and contained reused short,
- 32:21stories games, Import from various older storybooks
- 32:25Collections, and Viewmaster reels.
- 32:29One of the owning for the Mac, one of the only things that was
- 32:33exclusive to. These books was a series of 15
- 32:38profile Pages for 15 of the most important Muppet characters.
- 32:45So in this game, which I am calling just happy to be, then
- 32:51I'm Going to give you a trivia fact about one of your Sesame
- 32:56Street friends, as established in these Sesame Street treasury
- 33:01books. Your job is to name the Muppet
- 33:05that this describes be, where a lot of the facts in these Sesame
- 33:11Street, treasury profiles, aren't backed up in other
- 33:16sources character, Bibles the show itself and to the best of
- 33:20my knowledge are only IE in the Sesame Street treasury.
- 33:24That's amazing it's it's own Cannon.
- 33:28Yeah so it's the it's the treasury verse.
- 33:31These are characters that, you know, but I can't guarantee that
- 33:36you knew all of these facts about them.
- 33:40Some of them are going to be easier.
- 33:42Some of them are going to be harder which of them likes long,
- 33:45walks on the beach. Couple of things that I'm gonna
- 33:49do though to make make this game a little more interesting.
- 33:52First of all, I'm going to refer to every character as they or
- 33:58them just to not give away, which ones are male and which
- 34:02ones are female because this is the two-headed monster.
- 34:05Yeah, there we go. It could work for the two-headed
- 34:07monster. Um, but just because there
- 34:09aren't enough female characters that it would be even and I
- 34:14don't want to give those away automatically right side.
- 34:17Say, these questions are worth 3 points.
- 34:21If neither of you can get it, I can give you additional facts
- 34:25about them from the Sesame Street treasury.
- 34:28You will lose points for each additional clue that I have to
- 34:32give. All right.
- 34:33Okay, so sorry some of these are easy, some of these less easy
- 34:39question, one and you're going to buzz in.
- 34:41We're back to buzzing it, right? And wait, wait, wait, until I
- 34:44say your name to acknowledge that you buzzed it question 1.
- 34:48Their favorite food is a sardine and spinach Sunday Louis as I've
- 34:57ever imagined that he Oscar the Grouch it is, Oscar the God.
- 35:00So happy to get a point guys love it.
- 35:04I was slow to the draw, but question to their favorite shoes
- 35:09are saddle shoes. Louis would that be forgetful
- 35:16Jones? It is not forgetful Jones but
- 35:19yeah, good joke. Good joke, Joe No, it's Burt.
- 35:25It is burning. One of the things he wishes he
- 35:27had a friend around to do. It's true on correctly, on this
- 35:32album. Yep.
- 35:34Question 3 they live behind the Sesame Street Bakery.
- 35:44Louis. Who would live?
- 35:50Oh no. Oh no.
- 35:52I thought I had a good answer. Is it up?
- 35:55Is it Prairie Dawn? It is not Prairie.
- 35:58Okay Joe, Can you steal? The question is, who lives above
- 36:04the bakery behind the bakery again, I'm boarding to these
- 36:08books. I'll say that Don music.
- 36:18It is not done music. I will give you guys a clue.
- 36:21Their best friend is listed as the baker.
- 36:28Possibly the one from the film's where he fell down the steps.
- 36:34Buzz in. If you know it Louis I'm
- 36:36wondering if are trying to create some unnecessary
- 36:40backstory for Cookie Monster here.
- 36:42They absolutely are trying to create unnecessary backstory for
- 36:46Cookie Monster. Well, great to know.
- 36:49All those details about a character that is better left.
- 36:53More mysterious is seem too obvious, seriously.
- 36:58All right. I was like, it couldn't be
- 37:00Cookie Monster. That's just blatantly, like, not
- 37:03know. It's Cookie Monster.
- 37:05I love that. They couldn't think of a best
- 37:08friend for Cookie Monster. I mean, why?
- 37:10So donger wouldn't exist for decades and they they didn't
- 37:13know who is his best friend. Just want to say I would argue
- 37:18that probably maybe Cookie. Monster thinks the baker is his
- 37:21best friend but I would imagine the baker.
- 37:24Maybe have some other opinions about that.
- 37:27I mean I mean, you know, it would be a very ones, it would
- 37:31be a very toxic friendship honestly.
- 37:33Well, I agree that a lot of not a lot of taking or not so much
- 37:38giving. Yeah, question for their
- 37:42favorite activities, include Hopscotch and hide-and-seek.
- 37:51Louis II would imagine. This would have to be Prairie,
- 37:54Dawn. It is not fair.
- 37:57Joe. Can you steal?
- 37:58I am going to guess. Oh, oh, I know what this is.
- 38:03It's the count. It is not the count.
- 38:05Great, it's not account, greatly both games with numbers are
- 38:09below. Yes,
- 38:28Joe, that's big bird then. It is Big Bird.
- 38:32Yeah. At the time that I remember
- 38:34that, but it was kind of big, birds unofficial pet.
- 38:37Yeah, I guess because of like, Sesame and Big Bird, and China
- 38:41and big bird in Japan. Although I think those came out
- 38:45after this book, so I don't know.
- 38:47I think, I think they just thought they were tight, you
- 38:49know. Question 5, their favorite food
- 38:54is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
- 39:00Louis. If it's not the the amazing
- 39:06Mumford I'm gonna be really mad. It is not the Amazing Joe.
- 39:12Do you have a guess? Um that feels a lot like a thing
- 39:18that Grover would enjoy. Maybe it does but not according
- 39:23to this book. Um, next clue.
- 39:27Their favorite shoes are red sneakers.
- 39:35Louis gonna say, Ernie. It is Ernie.
- 39:38Sure. I was going to say, hairy
- 39:40monster for whatever reason, because they always put him in
- 39:42unnecessary pants and shoes. Yeah.
- 39:44I will say, I will say the other clue.
- 39:47I was going to give was their favorite.
- 39:49Book is true Bath Time adventures.
- 39:52That would be a big that would give it away.
- 39:55That's why I saved that problem. Probably, there is another I
- 40:00posted about this on Twitter months ago but there is Another
- 40:04like game in this book that expects you to know that Ernie's
- 40:08favorite food is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and that's
- 40:11the only way to solve it and it's like see you really have to
- 40:14be reading. I was like you have to do close
- 40:16reading within this book because it's not like he's always felt
- 40:19like Cookie Monster where he's always talking about his
- 40:22favorite food question. Six, speaking of close, their
- 40:30favorite article of clothing is blue jeans, Louis is it hairy
- 40:38monster? It is not hairy.
- 40:40Okay Joe? Can you steal?
- 40:44Okay, blue, jeans Forever. Blue Jeans, how's about what?
- 40:51We just said, Ernie. So it can't be earned.
- 40:53It's not, yeah, because they always put him in jeans.
- 40:56He always. Yes.
- 40:58Yeah, but okay. Weirdly I think it's Grover.
- 41:04It is Grover is a groomer? Yeah.
- 41:08In here is the yes, this is my favorite writer.
- 41:12I think this is hilarious. This is Ray Lewis, love this.
- 41:16Louis, was this in any of the character Bibles that they gave
- 41:18you for writing? Yeah, your friends all.
- 41:21It said about Grover and his character Bible was favorite
- 41:25jeans, blue jeans. That's all I need to know.
- 41:26Do I Grover? And that's why all I have him
- 41:29doing it all my episodes, just talking about genes.
- 41:32These Paloma jeans. Let me tell you to other things,
- 41:34he could talk about because his favorite food is blueberry
- 41:39muffins. Okay?
- 41:42So yeah I'm really into the color blue.
- 41:44Yeah and that's is defining personality trait, a peck.
- 41:48Well that's blue. Is blue jeans?
- 41:50Yes, it's because he's got a personality trait and if
- 41:55anything it's that's not the thing.
- 41:57I think about when I think of Grover when I would say, I was
- 42:00about to say when he's farmer Grover.
- 42:02But when he's farmer Grover, he wears denim overalls.
- 42:05Right? He doesn't work.
- 42:06Yes. You can.
- 42:07See ya Jingo anyway. The one thing the Third clue,
- 42:12which I think is actually a really cute fact.
- 42:15Is that his best friend is listed as everybody?
- 42:20That's true. So that what I liked question 7?
- 42:25Another question about favorite articles of clothing, their
- 42:29favorite article of clothing is a red, baseball cap.
- 42:37Louis is that Telly monster? It is not telling Okay, Joe, who
- 42:44loves their red? Baseball cap.
- 42:46Their red baseball cap. Well, if I know anything is that
- 42:51when I see a red baseball cap, I always imagined it on the head
- 42:56of pearl. It's now Pearl really good
- 43:02early, early, early, Sesame Street, second clue here their
- 43:07best friend is hairy monster. Who's Eric not Telly?
- 43:14I've not I'm telling you, I'll tell you.
- 43:16It's not Cookie Monster or Grover either because we did
- 43:19them. Gosh, their best friend is hairy
- 43:21monster and wears red buzzin. There's a red, baseball, cap,
- 43:27best friends, hairy monster. I I'm going, but I'm gonna go
- 43:35out on a limb here and say let's talk about Farley.
- 43:39It is not Farley third clue. Aloo.
- 43:45You didn't actually guess off of that clue.
- 43:47No, I didn't. Do you want to have?
- 43:50I don't know who this is. Okay.
- 43:52White angry that it's not Telly, third clue.
- 43:57Their favorite saying is There's No Business Like, Show Business.
- 44:07Louis Gladys the cow. It is not Gladys.
- 44:12The cow is, why would she be in a red baseball cap?
- 44:16Joe Can you steal Like Show Business?
- 44:18Oh, Prairie Dawn, it is Prairie Dawn, sure, we all know her
- 44:23classic, red baseball, cap that she's always wearing question.
- 44:278, their wish is to teach an old dog, new tricks.
- 44:35Joe. Would that be Betty?
- 44:41Lou. It is not Betty.
- 44:43Lou Louis, Can you steal Teach an old?
- 44:47Dog. New tricks.
- 44:49That's their wish and it's a muppet.
- 44:51It is a muppet who is like mad at a dog who said it.
- 44:59Yeah, the only dog I can think of is Berkeley and everybody
- 45:02liked Berkeley. Is it, is it Oscar?
- 45:06It's not Oscar. Okay, technically did Oscar
- 45:08already second. Hey, sure.
- 45:11Second clue, their favorite drink is cold water.
- 45:19Joe. Now I know.
- 45:22It's Bert. It's not Bert.
- 45:24We don't wait. We already did bird with the
- 45:26saddle shoes. That would be great though,
- 45:28right? That feels like something Burt.
- 45:30Would love to drink. Aha, Louis.
- 45:32Well, he has seltzer water. He has a little fun.
- 45:35Yeah, he enjoys Seltzer. Okay.
- 45:40So his favorite drink is cold water, which is crazy.
- 45:46He wants to teach an old dog, new tricks.
- 45:49He sounds like a real. Real little pill of a Sesame
- 45:52Street character. Quite frankly, the life of the
- 45:54party. Yes.
- 45:55Seriously, he definitely sounds like he listens to Joe Rogan,
- 46:00but is it is it? Is it fresh?
- 46:02Is it frazzle? No, it's not frazzle.
- 46:04Great guess. Final get frazzled me look me,
- 46:08but he doesn't listen to Jimmy Brogan presence.
- 46:10Nice. Yeah, this is an ally.
- 46:14Appreciate it. Frazil final Clues.
- 46:17They hate baths. Louie grunge Etta.
- 46:26No, but good. Yes, Joe Wait no, is this is
- 46:36this Pearl? And finally there we're not in
- 46:39Pearl. There is no pearl, I'll let you
- 46:41know. We're Dina know the answer is
- 46:46you guys over thought this one? Barkley.
- 46:49Oh, he wants to teach himself nutritionist.
- 46:56I suppose that's what they mean. That, well, my life brings our
- 47:00shot himself. Who says he's an old?
- 47:02Who says he's an old dog. Yeah, I writing is you're only
- 47:06as old as you feel. I also never really imagined him
- 47:08being super old the way the character act like a puppy.
- 47:12Yeah, here it is. He's a big dog.
- 47:15He's a Saint Bernard as far as or something like that.
- 47:17Yeah, you know. But the closer you could
- 47:19probably be like two years old but then again those animals
- 47:23don't live very long but Berkeley lives forever but yes
- 47:27worth noting. I love that.
- 47:28The book felt the need to tell us that a dog likes to drink
- 47:32water. As opposed to like other than
- 47:34average has like have you met Quinn say he licks his butt so
- 47:39they also couldn't be like Barclays.
- 47:41Favorite drink is a Manhattan which is kind of great.
- 47:46He's very good. We don't know what he gets up to
- 47:47you. He's a connoisseur.
- 47:49Yeah. All right.
- 47:51Question 9. Their parent can ever see his
- 47:54eyes. Exactly.
- 47:57He's very sensitive to the sun. Yeah, there's a reason why Chris
- 48:02use the wide shot please. Question 9, their pet is a cat
- 48:09named Fateh Tita. Joe.
- 48:17That is the count. That is the count.
- 48:20Oh cool. I but I don't know that from the
- 48:23Sesame Street treasury. I remember that from the Sesame
- 48:26Street dictionary. Those are the only those who
- 48:30you've got the Lord of the Rings.
- 48:31I've got the Cimorelli in. Yes, exactly.
- 48:35Other Clues. For that was their favorite
- 48:37stories include Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and their
- 48:43favorite food, ever, wondered what the counts, favorite food
- 48:46is folks. Listening at home, I know you
- 48:49think you're hilarious by saying blood but you're wrong.
- 48:52The counts. Favorite food is birthday cake
- 48:56with many candles. That's so nice.
- 48:59The best part is he can just keep adding candles every year.
- 49:04Quest and he's Immortal. So yeah, yeah, that's why
- 49:08question 10, their pet is a kitten named fuzzy.
- 49:17Joe. Don't tell me, it's Betty Lou.
- 49:21It is not Betty. Lou.
- 49:23Louisiana feels like the kind of this is a little girl.
- 49:26This yeah, thing little girl. Exactly tree.
- 49:29Where we is this Harry. This is herriman's, yeah, this
- 49:35that that kind of tracks for Harry to me.
- 49:38It does kind of make sense that most people giant.
- 49:40Yeah. That's yeah.
- 49:42Kind of a thing and that was the other clue was his hobby is
- 49:46growing pretty flowers. Yeah there's that nice song he
- 49:50sings about his doll. Yes guys there's AA which was
- 49:53pretty Progressive for that time.
- 49:56I feel like how yeah how they show?
- 49:59He both likes to lift weights and he kisses his dull.
- 50:02He gets out of bed like, hey, it's just a really sweet
- 50:05character. I hope Peter wins gets to do
- 50:06more stuff with him because he doesn't, he's very Charming.
- 50:10Yeah, I agree with that. Also included here.
- 50:12Also included hear their favorite saying and I included
- 50:16this because this is my favorite saying family, dinners are
- 50:19really great, we eat the food and then food, and then the play
- 50:24great, they use that in like 20, different Sesame, Street things
- 50:27because it's a good line. It's a good line.
- 50:30It's like like a but what like if you Works.
- 50:33If it works, fix it. Yeah.
- 50:35Question 11. Their favorite activities
- 50:39include French cooking. Joe.
- 50:47French cooking. Oh, I might have been a little.
- 50:52I might have moved a little too quickly here, but I think, well,
- 50:57we're here now. So I'll say that sounds like Guy
- 51:01Smiley incorrect. Louis Eddie any guesses, as to
- 51:06who might be into French cooking.
- 51:07I gonna throw this one out again.
- 51:10Gladys the cow. That would make more sense.
- 51:14Yes, the right answer to this question.
- 51:16Oh no. Oh no.
- 51:18Oh no. Oh no.
- 51:20I think I know what the answer is.
- 51:22Hold on. A second clue.
- 51:23Okay, their favorite food is bananas.
- 51:28Oh what? Just like that?
- 51:33I know. They love bananas.
- 51:39Okay, Davey and Joey monkey were not on the show, I know.
- 51:46I know. But the thing is, I was feeling
- 51:47so clever a second ago, because I thought they were doing a
- 51:52really horrible joke, and saying it was Kermit the Frog.
- 51:55But no, no, they're not that dark, but Is this the amazing
- 52:04Mumford? No.
- 52:06Louis any idea? I mean I feel like this is going
- 52:12to be totally random do so now I'm just going to go through
- 52:16Telly. Monster it is Telly monster our
- 52:19Facebook that banana loving French cooking fans.
- 52:23No wait a minute, just I remembers me.

- 52:31they had this one bit where they had Telly monster, it was called
- 52:37cookie with Telly and he had a French accent and I think He was
- 52:39making some kind of peanut butter, banana sandwich or
- 52:43something. And oh my God is, it's quite not
- 52:47funny, it's not very funny at all but where he plays a great
- 53:00copy editing job that would have been given their favorite shoes,
- 53:06you know, Telly's favorite shoes are tight.
- 53:09Oops, of course. They thought he was a Tim's guy,
- 53:14but always in style. Yeah, seriously.
- 53:17And this was the only clue that actually made sense which was
- 53:20their wish. Is that everything will turn
- 53:22out, right? That's pretty telling that one.
- 53:27I like it's pretty Telly like this.
- 53:30The rest is he's pretty easy. Pretty high-strung dude.
- 53:34If they had done this like ten years later, there would have
- 53:36been some dead giveaways. They were said was he like
- 53:38triangles or something? Like.
- 53:40Yeah. But I guess they're Triangle
- 53:41stuff, didn't really exist. Yeah, I was 10 years away, I
- 53:44think. Yeah, question 12.
- 53:47How many of these are there ports?
- 53:49There's 14 lat. Because there are there are 15
- 53:53of these books because we're running out of Muppets.
- 53:56Like yeah, no, no puppets from that period.
- 53:58I feel no, undies are still fairly well-known Muppets from
- 54:01this period. I left off.
- 54:03I'm Ting, which character? I left off.
- 54:05I left off one of them, because there were no interesting
- 54:07questions. That I could write big gotcha
- 54:09Nation. I don't remember which one it
- 54:12was. I'll cross Charlie.
- 54:14Says a lot. In fact, if I told you it would
- 54:16give it might give it away. Question 12, their favorite food
- 54:20is pineapple. Upside-down cake.
- 54:26Joe. Mr. Snuffleupagus.
- 54:31Incorrect. Hmm.
- 54:33His favorite food is cabbages and spaghetti.
- 54:36Oh, that's all right, but yeah, yeah, yeah, who knows?
- 54:39This book? Just makes things up.
- 54:41And we're not, we're not doubling up at all.
- 54:43No. Okay, this isn't?
- 54:47It would be because I absolutely feel like that would be Grover's
- 54:51favorite food but it's not Grover.
- 54:53No. Hey, blueberry muffins.
- 54:54We know. That's right.
- 54:55He loves blue bag. Come on.
- 54:59So I have to I have to To by process of elimination.
- 55:03Think of maybe someone is it forgetful Jones?
- 55:07He's forgetful Jones Joe. I feel bad.
- 55:13No no, you didn't know, I didn't know.
- 55:17Well you did. No actually, that's the problem.
- 55:20I guess it was a lucky. Guess.
- 55:22The other favorite activity? Is learning poems.
- 55:28By heart and their Everett flower is the forget-me-not.
- 55:35Oh, Question 3, x forgot question, 13 their best friends
- 55:41are the Honker. Louis.
- 55:48This is just be eliminating. Yeah.
- 55:50Basis is it Sherlock and block is not sure I guess Jody you
- 55:56ever guess? I mean this feels a little
- 56:00species is but I'm just going to sing it so soon that The Honkers
- 56:05and the diggers are best friends.
- 56:07You would think that but the dingers do not have a page in
- 56:10this book. I don't know if they existed
- 56:13yet, unfortunately. Their faith.
- 56:17We live in a world without dingers second clue.
- 56:19Yeah, second clue. Their favorite activity is
- 56:22helping children cross the street.
- 56:27Louis, is it? The Tweedle bugs.
- 56:30Hey incorrect. Okay Joe.
- 56:34Helping children cross the street.
- 56:36Oh, is it Sam? The Robot.
- 56:41No incorrect. Next clue.
- 56:44Their favorite food is grape popsicles.
- 56:52Joe, yep. Yep.
- 56:54Martians. Good guess but incorrect, Louis.
- 56:58And I'm trying to think of a purple Muppet.
- 57:00We haven't mentioned, I do have one other clue.
- 57:02They're actually for for this one.
- 57:04Okay. These were all hard.
- 57:05Yeah, because this is nuts. So you have tried to think of a
- 57:11purple of a purple Muppet. That's well-known.
- 57:13The we haven't mentioned yet and that's why it would be great
- 57:16jono for Jonas, Joe, Is it bad? If it is not Biff?
- 57:21Who is purple and well-known, see is purple, and well-known,
- 57:25okay, last clue last clue. You have to assume that they
- 57:27would have said this best friend is solely.
- 57:29You have to. And from that time that would
- 57:32arrive soon as this depression, even though they live at 1 plus
- 57:481. One Sesame Street.
- 57:51Oh Joe, the two-headed monster. Yes.
- 57:56This is the two headed monster great fabulous.
- 57:59Who is a purple character? Who's fairly well-known?
- 58:02Yes. Last I forgot that he was in the
- 58:05book or they were in the book when we're both of them wanted
- 58:10to play. Santa question, 14.
- 58:13Question, 14, their pet is a goldfish named Talbert, not
- 58:19Talbot. It, which is Bert's goldfish.
- 58:26Louis you buzzed in before I gave you that clue but their pet
- 58:30is a goldfish named Albert, Turi.
- 58:33John, did you already do pretty good prairie, dog, content,
- 58:37Prairie Dawn Joe. Do you know whose pet is a
- 58:40goldfish named Talbert? Well, I know this is many years
- 58:44before, a significantly more famous Muppet goldfish pairing,
- 58:48but I will say that feels like the favorite pet.
- 58:55Of everyone's favorite Muppet mr.
- 58:59Snuffleupagus should we say your mom?
- 59:01Why we did not do mr. Snuffleupagus yet.
- 59:03He is the one I left out because all of the clues were really
- 59:07obvious. They were all about living in a
- 59:09cave or being friends with big bird or wanting wanting the
- 59:13adults to see him, or something like that.
- 59:15They were all pretty and that would just make us all sad.
- 59:18Yeah, well here's here's a clue. Here's a clue.
- 59:22This character has a goldfish named Talbert.
- 59:25And their best friend is Luiz. Joe.
- 59:35I am cannot believe I remember this.
- 59:38Is this Poco Loco. This is not Poco Loco, but that
- 59:42would be an okay, clear? As I remembered him chilling
- 59:44with Louise in a bunch of those, huh?
- 59:47It's not a, it's a better known character than Poco Loco.
- 59:52Louis, any guesses, whose best friend is Louise.
- 59:58Other than Maria. Although it's only worldly doing
- 1:00:01Muppet, I know. Yeah, I know his best friend is
- 1:00:04Louise, I want one more clue, Okay.
- 1:00:10It's worth noting? Well here.
- 1:00:13Here's the next clip. Their favorite musical.
- 1:00:17Instrument is the xylophone Joe. Is going to be Elmo, right?
- 1:00:29It is not Elmo too late. As I do Elmo is Elmo.
- 1:00:34Well Elmo like was existing you just wasn't like Elmo.
- 1:00:38Yeah, I don't think he's named on the show until like 82 this
- 1:00:44is earlier than that. He he yeah, these books are
- 1:00:461980. I believe is the publication.
- 1:00:48Yeah, so Louis any guess whose favorite instrument is designed
- 1:00:54like a really just trying to eliminate all the well-known.
- 1:00:56Muppets from that. . In my brain and think I got it
- 1:00:59left. Is it beautiful day, monster?
- 1:01:02It is not the Beautiful Day monster but Greg gasps.
- 1:01:04Hold on next clue. I actually have well there's
- 1:01:06another one. Okay, yeah.
- 1:01:08Favorite beverage orange juice. Louie frazzle incorrect Joe.
- 1:01:21Would this be Buster the horse? This is not Buster.
- 1:01:24The horse. I love your thinking because we
- 1:01:26did forgetful Jones. Actually have another clue
- 1:01:30though, Grace, everybody knows that this character has a pet
- 1:01:34goldfish, named Talbert is best friends with Lewis plays, the
- 1:01:38xylophone loves drinking orange juice and loves playing
- 1:01:43baseball. Well, obvious how, how can, how
- 1:01:48can you guys be struggling? I can give you another clue if
- 1:01:53you'd like, because they have a pet goldfish, named Talbert.
- 1:01:57Their best friend. Is Louis, their favorite
- 1:01:59musical? Instrument is the xylophone.
- 1:02:01They love orange juice, and baseball.
- 1:02:04And they, their favorite article of clothing is, of course,
- 1:02:07overalls with lots of pockets. I'm buzzing in Louis, just
- 1:02:16because he hasn't popped in yet. Is it curb?
- 1:02:20It is not Kermit? OK.
- 1:02:23Kermit not doesn't appear in these books at all.
- 1:02:26Interesting enough, even though they were all still over that
- 1:02:30same company. He's the Fantastic Four to their
- 1:02:33Avengers. Yes, exactly.
- 1:02:34Totally Joe, any guesses? Okay, overalls with lots of
- 1:02:42pockets. Okay, I'm going to really shoot
- 1:02:46here. Rodeo Rosie.
- 1:02:49Good, gas incorrect there. Goldfishes Talbert.
- 1:02:53Their best friends, Louise. They love the xylophone, and
- 1:02:55orange juice and baseball and overalls with lots of pockets,
- 1:02:58and their dream is to build a go-kart.
- 1:03:01I think this is going to be, so someone were not expecting and
- 1:03:06it's good right now. I mean, that's clearly what I'm
- 1:03:08building up to. Yeah.
- 1:03:10Yeah. I'm you because I also, did you
- 1:03:13get that? This is like one of those ones
- 1:03:16that was written by some guy that never watched the show.
- 1:03:19And it's just like, like, okay, well the only other crew I can
- 1:03:25give. Oh Joe, okay.
- 1:03:28Farley have we said Farley, if you haven't said farming, you
- 1:03:33guessed him, but he was wrong. But it also isn't Farley is not
- 1:03:37fairly final clue. They live at four five, six,
- 1:03:41Sesame Street. This is the last clue.
- 1:03:44I can get. I guess I get our cable.
- 1:03:46We have exhausted the desert. It is not great.
- 1:03:51Guess you'd think his favorite instrument would be
- 1:04:05I'm just kind of. This is, I just kind of a guy
- 1:04:12didn't think a Sesame Street trivia question, could really
- 1:04:16leave this? Well, I will tell you, this
- 1:04:19character ostensibly a well-known character because
- 1:04:24literally, I am looking right now at Sesame Street merch that
- 1:04:29I have in my living room from the 80s, and this character is
- 1:04:33on it. There's Ernie, and Bert and
- 1:04:36Snuffy, and Cookie Monster. And And Grover and Sherlock,
- 1:04:40Hemlock and Louise's best friend.
- 1:04:46Betty Lou. Well, of course, of course.
- 1:04:52Betty Lou. I very well could it be?
- 1:04:57But Betty Lou was based on how funny I found the Betty Lou
- 1:05:02character. Yeah, it's that's very weird.
- 1:05:06It just sort of hammers in how poor Betty Lou.
- 1:05:09Very gradually became the other little girl as opposed to
- 1:05:13Prairie Dawn who became a superstar.
- 1:05:15Yeah. Exactly.
- 1:05:16They never. Lisa Us Muppet fans.
- 1:05:18Never really worked out. What her thing was.
- 1:05:21No, she was just she just was what she was.
- 1:05:24Yeah. He was in my mind, shall always
- 1:05:27be the one who wanted a monster to be her friend, mmm-hmm.
- 1:05:31And for me, it's the reason Lisa Buckley had work in the 90s.
- 1:05:35So, you know, that's true. Take lesser.
- 1:05:37She did a great job. I saw do the alphabet like that
- 1:05:40was heard moment that was her, you know, Carmen's on break, so
- 1:05:46we can't get Rosita. Hey, Betty Lou?
- 1:05:48Okay, all right, well let's move into our next.
- 1:05:55Round the round where you too can ask me a question.
- 1:06:00You old boy, now's your chance to pay me back for that.
- 1:06:04Betty Lou stuff. So it's time for boy.
- 1:06:08Will I the anything in the world prize game because you two are
- 1:06:14now able to ask me anything in the world?
- 1:06:17Or at least anything in the world of Sesame Street, if you
- 1:06:21stumped me, you will earn 10 points.
- 1:06:24So let's start with Louis, sure, Louis ask me your question.
- 1:06:29I have a pretty good one that I researched on Muppet Wiki today.
- 1:06:33Okay. So we all know the oinker
- 1:06:36sisters we didn't we all know they're big hit I got a new way
- 1:06:41to walk and then we know that they had some several other
- 1:06:45appearances as well over the years.
- 1:06:48But do we know the name of the actress that saying leads on?
- 1:06:52I got a new way to walk. Joe, that's a pretty good one,
- 1:06:57right? That's a good one because I know
- 1:07:00that wasn't good because I edited the Wiki page for the
- 1:07:03person who sang that song. Thank you for doing that to
- 1:07:06thank you for your Workshop. Well so here's the thing II
- 1:07:08can't answer so Louis you absolutely get 10 points great
- 1:07:14but Joe you're not going to earn points for this but it seems
- 1:07:17like, you know, the answer because you wrote the page Louis
- 1:07:20read this morning. So what is the answer?
- 1:07:24I didn't write all of it, but I did.
- 1:07:26A part of it is unsung Sesame Street.
- 1:07:29Legend IV, Austin, correct? Anything else did Ivy Austin, do
- 1:07:34anything else for the show or he did X hanji backing vocals on a
- 1:07:38ton of songs? That's her as the sheep and
- 1:07:40Bert's blanket. That's her singing Stand by Your
- 1:07:43can there's actually a great video Shane posted on YouTube of
- 1:07:47her and Chris Cerf and Paul Rudolph singing it live which I
- 1:07:52highly recommend finding because she's she's super cool and she
- 1:07:56was Danny Epstein, the busic coordinators daughter.
- 1:08:02All right. So Joe, do you have a question
- 1:08:05for me? Oh, yes.
- 1:08:07It is a multiple choice question.
- 1:08:09Here we go. So, which of the following shall
- 1:08:13we say off-color moments? Did not take place on the dash
- 1:08:18version of Sesame, Street, say some strapped.
- 1:08:22This is great. I'm ready because I even love
- 1:08:25International Sesame Street and say some Strat got away with
- 1:08:28some crazy stuff. So a a song about drawing clouds
- 1:08:32with chalk that gets interrupted interrupted by a muppet, dog,
- 1:08:36leaving a brown Cloud on the ground.
- 1:08:40Be a fellow Muppet dog. Tommy, getting hammered on red
- 1:08:45wine during a New Year's special.
- 1:08:49See Bert. Embarrassing himself in front of
- 1:08:52Santa Claus or sinterklaas by farting, loudly or D A rappers
- 1:08:59somehow managing to throw a dirty word into a performance
- 1:09:03of. Has anybody seen my dog?
- 1:09:06Wow, so w of dog themed stuff. So let me out, I don't know what
- 1:09:10that thing is. Let me talk, let me talk through
- 1:09:12this briefly. I know there's a ton of like,
- 1:09:16Dutch the Dutch. I Reading this, they loved Ernie
- 1:09:21and Bert, and there were an egg do, like, comedy records
- 1:09:24recorded with Ernie and Bert. A lot of them Christmas themes
- 1:09:29were just, they would have just because they don't need the
- 1:09:31puppets for those. So they would have the comedians
- 1:09:34who dubbed the voices of Ernie, and Bert, just kind of Riff and,
- 1:09:39and du du B. So, that makes me pretty
- 1:09:44confident that. See did happen, but I'm supposed
- 1:09:52to tell you which one didn't happen.
- 1:09:55Correct. Um, I'm gonna go with the second
- 1:10:00one, the dog getting wasted. I am agreed to say, you are
- 1:10:05absolutely right. No, I guess.
- 1:10:09I thought that would get you but the thing is, no, that didn't
- 1:10:12happen. On say, some Strat that happened
- 1:10:14on rakove somesome, the Israeli acessories.
- 1:10:17To be there is a video on YouTube, its moisture of me
- 1:10:20because, of course, it's moisture ethnic getting
- 1:10:22absolutely plastered on red wine at a Passover seder and it is he
- 1:10:27gets what Passover seder is. Are actually all about problem
- 1:10:30is, I've seen that that moisture roof.
- 1:10:33Nick episode All of those things on the
- 1:10:48podcast. Yes, sir.
- 1:10:50All right, but very happy, they only existed.
- 1:10:53They're all real. And the reason I know about the
- 1:10:55sinterklaas one was because back when I was I want to say six or
- 1:11:00seven. I saw a transcript in English up
- 1:11:03that that good old Yucca and did on the on tough pigs.
- 1:11:08And I remember getting to that part and thinking no way did
- 1:11:12that actually happen but it did and that's like the tip of the
- 1:11:16iceberg. The touch of crazy.
- 1:11:19Yeah, that's that's how I knew Germany to her.
- 1:11:22Of course, it's the Dutch of the Germans who figure out the crazy
- 1:11:24stuff to do with her hamper. Anyway, thank you, guys.
- 1:11:29Both, we are about to move into our final game of the evening.
- 1:11:34Oh, my, okay, which is called save the word.
- 1:11:39So, this round in this round, you can wager any amount of
- 1:11:44points. I'll tell you how many points
- 1:11:45you have, you can wager. You're any amount of points that
- 1:11:48you have. The winner.
- 1:11:51Whoever gets the question, right?
- 1:11:53We'll get those points. Whoever gets the question.
- 1:11:55Wrong will lose those points. It's kind of like Final
- 1:11:58Jeopardy. Hmm.
- 1:12:00You will get to hear the question before you wager them,
- 1:12:06right? So, let's check the scores right
- 1:12:11now. The scores are Louis with 51
- 1:12:15points and Joe with 77 points. It's not as much of a spread as
- 1:12:21I expected nor eyes, but I think you as well, sir.
- 1:12:27So, you know, you guys brought him up when we were guessing
- 1:12:31about the Sesame Street treasury, but one character who
- 1:12:35appears a couple times in the Sesame Street treasury who
- 1:12:39doesn't show up much on the show anymore or at all on the show
- 1:12:42anymore. Is Sam the Robot.
- 1:12:45Oh no, that's this guy. Oh boy, we We all know Sam, the
- 1:12:51Robot but not everyone. Realizes that Sam.
- 1:12:55The robot's name is an acronym. What does SA AM stand for?
- 1:13:04I've set mine. I've sent you how much I'm
- 1:13:09betting. Okay, so, you know, oddly
- 1:13:13enough, if I'm being precise and I should be precise because this
- 1:13:20is a muppet quiz show the most Sacred of all all institutions,
- 1:13:28so sacred. You had to figure out the right
- 1:13:29word for. Yeah, I couldn't remember the
- 1:13:31words carry. This is a very solemn moment.
- 1:13:33Human language can't really, I can't really Express the
- 1:13:37importance, you know. I think.
- 1:13:39Yeah, go back to the original Latin.
- 1:13:41Yes. Well if I'm being precise,
- 1:13:45neither of you got this question.
- 1:13:48Correct. Although one of you was closer
- 1:13:52than the other person, Right. So Louis you bet every point you
- 1:13:58have I did hmm. Joe, you bet 50 points.
- 1:14:05I wanted to hedge, you know, I was like, is there?
- 1:14:08It's a nice increase? Or I still have a little
- 1:14:10something left. I own it to All or nothing.
- 1:14:13Here we Louis. I respect the hustle.
- 1:14:16What did you guess Sam stood for?
- 1:14:18I mean, obviously it would be Supreme awesomesauce Machina, my
- 1:14:27favorite anime from the mid-90s. Well, unfortunately, Sam does
- 1:14:33not stand for Supreme awesomesauce Machina.
- 1:14:36I for one and I wish you did. Sure.
- 1:14:40Wish Louis, unfortunately. Now you have ended the show with
- 1:14:45zero points. How will I live this down to the
- 1:14:48tough Pig, holiday parties. Joe, we have holiday party.
- 1:14:52No, we should start. Yeah.
- 1:14:56Joe, what did you say? Sam stands for I said Sam stands
- 1:15:02for super Automated machine. All right, so the correct answer
- 1:15:07here is super automatic machine. Oh yeah, yeah, blows no.
- 1:15:14Know whether I give you the points or not, you still have
- 1:15:22more than zero points. So either way, whether I'm a
- 1:15:28stickler for the rules or not, Even if I take 50 points away
- 1:15:33our score becomes 27 2010. If I gave you the 50 points are
- 1:15:38score would be 120 720. Either way you like those odds
- 1:15:45do it. Either way you come out on top.
- 1:15:48Yay. That means that our winner and
- 1:15:52today's toughest pig is Joe and Ray Joe, you win your choice of
- 1:15:59a goldfish. Each name Talbert or this born
- 1:16:05to add magnet. I made of of Bert as Bruce
- 1:16:08Springsteen. So, you know, you gotta choose
- 1:16:14one of those great prizes, you know?
- 1:16:16It it's a decision that weighs heavily on my mind but very
- 1:16:20solemn sacred but I think I'll, you know, a lot for the bag that
- 1:16:26I live a little. Alright, then pretty daring.
- 1:16:29It looks awesome. And that brings us to, you know,
- 1:16:32I never said I came here so do it the easy way.
