- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with i R Radio. It's the almost famous podcast. We
- 0:08Speaker 1: are back breaking down another episode of the Bachelor. Ashley
- 0:13Speaker 1: is here as well. Uh. Ashley kicked this thing off
- 0:19Speaker 1: last night. I was at the Ohio University. I was
- 0:21Speaker 1: gonna say the University of how that would be wrong.
- 0:23Speaker 1: It's Ohio University, the home of the Bobcats. An incredible campus,
- 0:27Speaker 1: beautiful place. If you haven't been there in Athens, Ohio,
- 0:30Speaker 1: it is worth the visit. Had a great time. UM
- 0:34Speaker 1: their their student association, UH put on an event and
- 0:38Speaker 1: we had a great turnout, a lot of fun. I
- 0:41Speaker 1: really enjoyed it. So I flew out early this morning
- 0:42Speaker 1: back to Denver. I'm in Denver recording this. Last night,
- 0:45Speaker 1: I was asked the question that I want to kick
- 0:47Speaker 1: this podcast off, asking you, Ashley, who are your top
- 0:51Speaker 1: three favorites on this season? To end up with Zach
- 0:56Speaker 1: Okay Cat from last night? Easy? For sure, for sure.
- 1:03Speaker 1: I think probably Katie's up there. I don't know Brooklyn
- 1:08Speaker 1: is up there too. Brooklyn and Cat would be my
- 1:10Speaker 1: top two right now. Okay, yeah, okay, let's go with
- 1:13Speaker 1: that for right now. But I really think that there's
- 1:15Speaker 1: a lot of girls that came to the forefront of
- 1:17Speaker 1: my mind yesterday. I like Gabby for myself. I feel
- 1:21Speaker 1: like gabb would be a good friend for me. She
- 1:23Speaker 1: just seems like very authentic about how awkward she is.
- 1:31Speaker 1: She's like not afraid to be like, oh my gosh,
- 1:33Speaker 1: I feel very uncomfortable in this environment, like does he
- 1:37Speaker 1: like me? Does he not like me? Like she's just
- 1:39Speaker 1: And what's cool about her is that she has a
- 1:41Speaker 1: lot of um, I don't even call it awkwardness, but
- 1:45Speaker 1: she thinks she's awkward, and then when she's actually with him,
- 1:48Speaker 1: she's really cool. And I love that we're getting those
- 1:51Speaker 1: moments for her, and he, I think finds that endearing. Yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 1: he does. You're seeing a trend, was zach Uh. He's
- 1:58Speaker 1: he's into it when there's like a mutual interest, even
- 2:02Speaker 1: if you're awkward and you're weird with it, not into
- 2:05Speaker 1: it if there's drama or if you voice that you
- 2:07Speaker 1: feel like the connection is waning, you know, But if
- 2:10Speaker 1: you're into it at all, even if you're so weird
- 2:12Speaker 1: and so awkward, He's like, Hey, I like this, We'll
- 2:15Speaker 1: stick it around. UM. Good question last night from the auditio,
- 2:19Speaker 1: A couple of great questions, a lot of fans of you, Ashley.
- 2:21Speaker 1: As always, I feel like I go to these things
- 2:24Speaker 1: and I'm like your spokesperson, Like I'm like the one,
- 2:27Speaker 1: like you're kind of your security guard. I'm the one
- 2:28Speaker 1: that goes and before you, and they want to talk
- 2:31Speaker 1: about you and be like what's actually like, what's she
- 2:33Speaker 1: what's she doing? And then I get to answer those
- 2:35Speaker 1: questions for you, um the best I can. But um,
- 2:39Speaker 1: it's a lot of fun. I'm glad to be back,
- 2:41Speaker 1: though I'm tired, um tired today it was an early morning. Um.
- 2:45Speaker 1: But we're gonna make this work, Ashley. Obviously, it's been
- 2:49Speaker 1: a week since our last episode. Bachelor Nation has had
- 2:52Speaker 1: a lot of headlines that we're gonna break down later
- 2:54Speaker 1: on as well. But let's jump in to this week's episode.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Kick it riot off and I'll let you take it. Okay,
- 3:01Speaker 1: sounds good. Let's start, of course, at the very beginning,
- 3:04Speaker 1: when they decide that they don't they don't decide. They've
- 3:08Speaker 1: been told that they are going to the Bahamas in
- 3:10Speaker 1: the most classic way. You know, it's like Zach's not
- 3:13Speaker 1: here because he's in the Bahamas. The Bamas on your
- 3:19Speaker 1: on your season. I feel like the Bahamas is always
- 3:22Speaker 1: like that. It's like every other year they're going to
- 3:24Speaker 1: the Bahamas. I guess that you really can't go wrong
- 3:27Speaker 1: with it, though, right, No, I mean I think it's Uh,
- 3:30Speaker 1: there's a couple of places obviously internationally that you would
- 3:33Speaker 1: have loved to go to write Like for me, I
- 3:36Speaker 1: really want to go to Japan. On my season, we
- 3:38Speaker 1: didn't go to Japan. That would have been incredible, right,
- 3:41Speaker 1: just to be in Japan, And um, there's a couple,
- 3:44Speaker 1: but like the Bahamas a little like secret the Bahamas
- 3:47Speaker 1: are like the best place for the show to go
- 3:49Speaker 1: when you're on the season or you're the lead because
- 3:53Speaker 1: it's well because people would be like, it's the Bahamas, right,
- 3:57Speaker 1: Maybe it's not as exotic as you would want, but yeah,
- 3:59Speaker 1: like a lot of us end up going there to
- 4:01Speaker 1: visit at some point, like we're looking for a tropical vacation.
- 4:04Speaker 1: But it's close and that's such a big deal because
- 4:07Speaker 1: you're not going like multiple time zones, which becomes really
- 4:11Speaker 1: hard when you're filming the show. You are going multiple
- 4:13Speaker 1: time zones. But it's like an East coast West coast thing. Sure,
- 4:17Speaker 1: but you're Yeah, I guess you're in l A during this,
- 4:19Speaker 1: But if you're on the East coast, you're not. You know,
- 4:21Speaker 1: Bahamas are just a very accessible, beautiful, warm, tropical location
- 4:27Speaker 1: that has a lot going on, a lot of fun.
- 4:29Speaker 1: And I think you know, when you start to travel
- 4:32Speaker 1: too far away from the US, it gets really tiring
- 4:35Speaker 1: because there aren't like many days to sleep and get
- 4:38Speaker 1: your jet lag, you know, taking care of you kind
- 4:40Speaker 1: of just hit the ground running and you're tired for
- 4:42Speaker 1: the whole week. And so when you don't have to
- 4:44Speaker 1: travel that far, it's actually even better. Uh. And so
- 4:47Speaker 1: the Bahamas are a great location. I always uh interested
- 4:51Speaker 1: to see what kind of dates they come with up
- 4:53Speaker 1: within the Bahamas because they've been there so many times. Yeah,
- 4:56Speaker 1: the pig date was legit um, even though it ended
- 4:59Speaker 1: with everybody you know, having diarrhea and getting dysentery. If
- 5:03Speaker 1: you haven't heard that story, it's because everybody swallowed the
- 5:05Speaker 1: water and there's pig poop in it. Um. It's so gross. Uh.
- 5:10Speaker 1: But so I guess they're never going to do that again. No,
- 5:12Speaker 1: but it is. I mean, if you go to Pig Island,
- 5:14Speaker 1: it is worth it. It's an amazing time. I think
- 5:16Speaker 1: it's just don't swallow the water and just keep your
- 5:18Speaker 1: mouth close. Um. But yeah, we went to the Bahamas,
- 5:21Speaker 1: the interesting little tid. But when we went, which I
- 5:23Speaker 1: don't think they had happened this year, at least not
- 5:27Speaker 1: super close. Right before we got there, um, they had
- 5:30Speaker 1: a big tropical storm wipe through the Bahamas and so
- 5:32Speaker 1: it shut down, um the food supply to the island,
- 5:35Speaker 1: and so we didn't. We kind of had like firefest
- 5:38Speaker 1: on the island the whole time where we're eating like
- 5:40Speaker 1: ham and cheese sandwiches because that's all we could get
- 5:42Speaker 1: our hands on. Uh. So that was kind of added.
- 5:46Speaker 1: It was interesting. But it really that that Bahamas trip
- 5:49Speaker 1: was beautiful. It just humbled all of us, which I
- 5:51Speaker 1: appreciate it. It made us feel very much like what
- 5:53Speaker 1: life would look like if you want on a vacation
- 5:55Speaker 1: with me. It's so funny. Okay, Well, the first eight
- 6:00Speaker 1: card goes to cats, question is how deep is our love?
- 6:05Speaker 1: And they, of course just go on the water. It's
- 6:08Speaker 1: just a very it's like a basic bachelor day in
- 6:11Speaker 1: the sense that like there's not like a real activity.
- 6:14Speaker 1: They're just gonna hang out on the boat. They're gonna
- 6:16Speaker 1: they're gonna make their activity applying sunscreen to each other,
- 6:19Speaker 1: and they truly enjoy the sunscreen moment, Like the two
- 6:22Speaker 1: of them are all over each other and it feels good. Uh,
- 6:27Speaker 1: what do you mean to explain? What do you mean
- 6:28Speaker 1: when you feel it between them? For sure, they definitely
- 6:34Speaker 1: have physical chemistry and it's cute because Zach definitely feels like,
- 6:39Speaker 1: oh my gosh, how did I get this woman? She's
- 6:41Speaker 1: a model? I have never like she She's not a model,
- 6:43Speaker 1: she's a nurse, but she looks like a model, and
- 6:46Speaker 1: she truly does. She has kind of that like gazl
- 6:48Speaker 1: buncheon look and that they're cute. I get it. I
- 6:52Speaker 1: like it. And then they go to dinner and they
- 6:56Speaker 1: have a very interesting I mean in true in conversation. Um,
- 7:01Speaker 1: she her insecurity. It's you know, one on one dates,
- 7:04Speaker 1: you always bring up your insecurity. You're like your story
- 7:07Speaker 1: of love that you know wouldn't normally share on a
- 7:10Speaker 1: first one on one date in the real world, but
- 7:13Speaker 1: on the batchelor, this is what we're going to get it.
- 7:15Speaker 1: And hers is that she had a really awful relationship
- 7:18Speaker 1: with her mom growing up, and it made me think
- 7:21Speaker 1: I just made me think about like being a mom,
- 7:23Speaker 1: I guess now, just imagining having such a horrible relationship
- 7:26Speaker 1: with your child and how it gets to be that
- 7:28Speaker 1: way to the point where it's like you don't even
- 7:30Speaker 1: like your kid. It's so what it sounds like, it
- 7:31Speaker 1: sounds like they did not like each other, like their
- 7:33Speaker 1: mother and daughter that didn't like each other. That's so
- 7:35Speaker 1: sad and I'm so sorry that she had to grow
- 7:37Speaker 1: up with that. But she said that she didn't even
- 7:39Speaker 1: live in the same house with her mom as a kid,
- 7:41Speaker 1: like Underage Under eight team for some points, because it
- 7:44Speaker 1: got so bad and um, it just seemed like she
- 7:47Speaker 1: didn't have any sort of relationship with the parent thing
- 7:54Speaker 1: that that was not a good relationship there, like between
- 7:56Speaker 1: the two of them. And then she said, yeah, yeah,
- 8:03Speaker 1: it takes a I you know, as you watch this
- 8:07Speaker 1: every season we have uh most of the time, I
- 8:11Speaker 1: guess most season we have a moment like this, and
- 8:14Speaker 1: I just want to take a second say, it takes
- 8:15Speaker 1: a lot of courage. I can't imagine that Cat dreamed
- 8:19Speaker 1: of telling somebody she was dating about this on national television.
- 8:23Speaker 1: It has to be hard and there has to be
- 8:26Speaker 1: a lot of emotion behind that. Um, but it was
- 8:29Speaker 1: it is courageous to do and to open up. And
- 8:33Speaker 1: you know, she even said it like she did it
- 8:35Speaker 1: because she wanted Zack to know this side of her,
- 8:37Speaker 1: because she knows that his family is more traditional and
- 8:40Speaker 1: that they have a great relationship, and she wants him
- 8:43Speaker 1: to know right away kind of why and where she's
- 8:46Speaker 1: coming from. And I just I think that, I mean,
- 8:49Speaker 1: it cannot I just can't. It can't be easy. I
- 8:51Speaker 1: can't relate with it. But it can't be easy to
- 8:54Speaker 1: open up about these things that are so personal to
- 8:56Speaker 1: you on national television on a first date. Has to
- 9:00Speaker 1: be just a lot of like kind of confusion too
- 9:02Speaker 1: behind the scenes of being like do I talk about
- 9:04Speaker 1: this now? Do I wait? And maybe I'll never get
- 9:07Speaker 1: the opportunity to and maybe he's kind of confused by it.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Like just, um, those are always really big moments again
- 9:13Speaker 1: where reality television crosses reality and we see it happen
- 9:19Speaker 1: in front of us. Yeah, like, I can't relate to
- 9:21Speaker 1: this moment either. I guess I'm on the other side.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I'm on the Zack side where it's like I grew
- 9:25Speaker 1: up with that perfect ideal role model in parents and
- 9:29Speaker 1: in their relationship, and it made me think about the
- 9:33Speaker 1: insecurity that she has talking about how she didn't have that,
- 9:36Speaker 1: and how I wonder how it is to navigate relationships
- 9:41Speaker 1: like that. I wonder how often the way that you're
- 9:44Speaker 1: brought up become the thing in the relationship. Like you,
- 9:49Speaker 1: you and Ingest both had great childhood's, great relationships with
- 9:53Speaker 1: your parents. Your parents both had great relationships with each other,
- 9:56Speaker 1: and it's kind of same with me and Jared. So
- 9:58Speaker 1: I just just made me think, like, oh, yeah, like
- 10:01Speaker 1: that that is definitely got to be I don't know, well,
- 10:06Speaker 1: what is it is? I don't know, It's just it's
- 10:09Speaker 1: just the reality for a lot of people. And what
- 10:11Speaker 1: I think she I think what we see here is
- 10:14Speaker 1: kind of that, um, just what you do in partnerships
- 10:18Speaker 1: where you look at somebody else and you say, hey, um,
- 10:23Speaker 1: you know, this is something that's happened in my life.
- 10:25Speaker 1: This is my story, and I'm asking you to come
- 10:27Speaker 1: into this story, uh and help me now fulfill the
- 10:31Speaker 1: new dreams and the new things that I want because
- 10:33Speaker 1: I've I've either seen what I don't want or I've
- 10:36Speaker 1: seen what I want, and I'm just I need you
- 10:38Speaker 1: to come along and support me in this, and that's
- 10:40Speaker 1: what she's doing, and I think Zach really wants to
- 10:43Speaker 1: do that. I think zach Is really wanted to do
- 10:46Speaker 1: that for her. Like I think Zach is just like,
- 10:48Speaker 1: I'll do whatever you ask me as long as I
- 10:51Speaker 1: can be with you. Because this is wild. I guess
- 10:54Speaker 1: that's part of the reason that I really liked to
- 10:56Speaker 1: this moment was because it just seemed like he was
- 11:00Speaker 1: ready to be that guy for her. I mean, if
- 11:05Speaker 1: you ask me right now, Okay, if I if this
- 11:08Speaker 1: was DraftKings or Fan Duel and I had um a
- 11:11Speaker 1: bet on whose act was gonna end up with at
- 11:13Speaker 1: the end, I would put all of my money on Cat, Like, well,
- 11:17Speaker 1: this at this point, it's definitely the he likes her enough,
- 11:21Speaker 1: is she gonna like him enough? And I think like
- 11:23Speaker 1: right now they're on a great level together. Sure it's yeah,
- 11:27Speaker 1: well we'll see where it goes. But I definitely would
- 11:29Speaker 1: call her the front runner right now, no question, Like,
- 11:32Speaker 1: very clearly that front runner. He's just like he's giddy,
- 11:35Speaker 1: um Like, he's giddy around her, He's he's goofy around her,
- 11:41Speaker 1: and he I think he's just trying his best, just
- 11:44Speaker 1: to be like, this is a dream for me, This
- 11:46Speaker 1: is what I dreamed of when I signed up for
- 11:48Speaker 1: The Bachelor. It's happening, but now and then we'll have
- 11:52Speaker 1: to see this story play out. I means Zack's biggest
- 11:54Speaker 1: issue is going to be one, how much interest is
- 11:56Speaker 1: he going to be able to show other people? Which
- 11:59Speaker 1: I'm sure there's gonna be somebody else that really intrigues
- 12:01Speaker 1: him and interests him, so that will happen. But two
- 12:04Speaker 1: is how much is he going to get in his
- 12:05Speaker 1: own head about where Cat's feelings are at now for
- 12:08Speaker 1: the rest of the season, Because the more time now
- 12:11Speaker 1: he spins away from her, and after a one on one,
- 12:13Speaker 1: we all know that you're gonna spend some time away
- 12:15Speaker 1: from her. He's not going to see her for a bit.
- 12:16Speaker 1: They're gonna have some separation. Is he is he gonna
- 12:19Speaker 1: like is he gonna be able to stay stable, stay confident,
- 12:24Speaker 1: and also do the small things for her that keeps
- 12:26Speaker 1: her in like knowing that he's thinking of her. It's
- 12:28Speaker 1: gonna get really hard for him. It would be really
- 12:30Speaker 1: hard to fall this quickly, this early in a season
- 12:34Speaker 1: and know that you have a lot of time left
- 12:36Speaker 1: to keep this going. Yeah, I also am wondering how, um,
- 12:43Speaker 1: how he's if he's gonna remain open to the other
- 12:47Speaker 1: girls enough. I think he does. I think he does.
- 12:49Speaker 1: We do. We do see him have a great date
- 12:52Speaker 1: with Brooklyn, and I think he does seem really into
- 12:54Speaker 1: her as well. We see him very intrigued by Aerial
- 12:56Speaker 1: on the group date. And then my final my final
- 13:00Speaker 1: comment on this date is I've we've been harsh on
- 13:03Speaker 1: on Zach, who I know, we know this. What I
- 13:07Speaker 1: really like is when Zach gets in this zone where
- 13:09Speaker 1: he's like, what can I do to be with her? Like,
- 13:13Speaker 1: oh my gosh, I feel so undeserving. I think a
- 13:17Speaker 1: lot of the times it's kind of like this is
- 13:20Speaker 1: about me finding a life and not about us finding
- 13:22Speaker 1: a wife. And I feel like with him, I like
- 13:25Speaker 1: him in this humble zone. Yeah. Yeah, Well, I mean
- 13:29Speaker 1: that's a great partnership, writing partners, you know what I mean, Like,
- 13:32Speaker 1: it's more like this is for me, Well, it's of
- 13:34Speaker 1: course it's for him. He's the bachelor. Definitely. Well, I mean,
- 13:37Speaker 1: he needs to show his interest, but he also I
- 13:40Speaker 1: think it's gonna be hard. Now if I was Zach,
- 13:43Speaker 1: I don't think I would have had one on one
- 13:45Speaker 1: this early with somebody like Cat, because I really it's
- 13:49Speaker 1: week four. I think it's gonna get hard for him. Uh,
- 13:55Speaker 1: it's gonna get hard because I think he's gonna fall
- 13:57Speaker 1: And now he has to wait a few weeks probably
- 13:59Speaker 1: till he can get that one on one time with
- 14:01Speaker 1: her again, and he's gonna see our group dates. And
- 14:04Speaker 1: I know you just said that Zack does a good
- 14:06Speaker 1: job at kind of leaving his heart open, as we
- 14:10Speaker 1: like to say in the show. But I believe it
- 14:12Speaker 1: was Anastasia that even mentioned, uh that he definitely has
- 14:16Speaker 1: his favorites. Uh. So the girls are starting to tell, right,
- 14:19Speaker 1: like they know language is hilarious, Yeah, I actual, Yeah,
- 14:25Speaker 1: So the girls are starting to tell, which is uncommon.
- 14:28Speaker 1: It happens every season where the favorites start to stand out,
- 14:31Speaker 1: And some of the girls are even very like they
- 14:33Speaker 1: know that Kat and Zach are gonna have a great
- 14:35Speaker 1: one on one, Like they're very confident in that. So
- 14:37Speaker 1: they know that Cat is going to be a front runner.
- 14:39Speaker 1: They obviously like her. They obviously know that she's beautiful
- 14:43Speaker 1: and that she's probably kind to the women there, so
- 14:46Speaker 1: they're like, they're gonna have a great time, and Zack
- 14:49Speaker 1: has his favorite she's going to be one of them.
- 14:50Speaker 1: And now the rest of us are kind of sitting
- 14:52Speaker 1: here twiddling our thumbs figuring out where do we stand.
- 14:56Speaker 1: And that's just gonna I mean, it's gonna be an
- 14:58Speaker 1: interesting part of this season as we continue to watch
- 15:01Speaker 1: is how open is he able to stay as he
- 15:03Speaker 1: starts to fall very quickly and as his heart starts
- 15:06Speaker 1: to lean towards a few women. I don't mind that
- 15:09Speaker 1: when Elite does that, because you want them to have
- 15:12Speaker 1: their favorites, like you want them to have their few
- 15:15Speaker 1: that like they're very into. But we still have a
- 15:17Speaker 1: season the film, and so it's going to be interesting
- 15:20Speaker 1: how that plays out. Okay, so group date time they
- 15:34Speaker 1: do like basically just games with shellfish, which is basically
- 15:39Speaker 1: designed for Gabby to get down herself because she has
- 15:43Speaker 1: an allergy to shell the same here that that would
- 15:46Speaker 1: kill me, Like that date would have killed me. I
- 15:50Speaker 1: saw these funny memes that were like okay, but but
- 15:53Speaker 1: is she okay kissing him like the night after eating shellfish,
- 15:57Speaker 1: Like what is the what is the point of okay?
- 16:00Speaker 1: This is because he have to go brush his teeth
- 16:01Speaker 1: that he had to like rense out with really hot water.
- 16:04Speaker 1: There's there's multiple levels of this. But if if Jessica
- 16:08Speaker 1: has like a shrimp and kisses me like I can
- 16:11Speaker 1: sometimes feel it like it I don't like break out
- 16:13Speaker 1: in my yeah, but you can feel like that your
- 16:15Speaker 1: body is rejecting it or not like not that it
- 16:19Speaker 1: tickles or you a little high. I mean, I'm very
- 16:23Speaker 1: allergic to shell fish. Um this would have like this
- 16:27Speaker 1: would have been my worst nightmare. And even the juices
- 16:29Speaker 1: splashing on you can be a massive issue, very dangerous situation.
- 16:33Speaker 1: We put put her in Oh my gosh, she's so
- 16:36Speaker 1: funny about it because obviously she's just she's crying because
- 16:40Speaker 1: it is really upsetting. But I know that she's laughing
- 16:43Speaker 1: watching this back, and he's not going to hold it
- 16:46Speaker 1: against her. She can't participate, but in the moment it
- 16:49Speaker 1: makes you feel bad anyway. I like the fact that
- 16:51Speaker 1: this group date was kind of chill, hanging out on
- 16:53Speaker 1: the beach doing silly games like this and not like
- 16:57Speaker 1: a football structured, you know, game that we really don't
- 17:01Speaker 1: get to see much like interaction with him. We do.
- 17:05Speaker 1: We can see him and his body language floating with
- 17:08Speaker 1: like certain girls, and we certainly can tell a lot
- 17:11Speaker 1: by Zack's body language, and he cannot stand in the
- 17:14Speaker 1: station an he was looking for a reason to get
- 17:17Speaker 1: rid of Anastasia. Yes he does, because he heard this
- 17:20Speaker 1: thing about Instagram. But you can tell when she steals
- 17:23Speaker 1: him away and they sit there on that sand together,
- 17:26Speaker 1: he does not look her in the eyes. And when
- 17:28Speaker 1: Zack's not into somebody, he literally makes us little eye
- 17:31Speaker 1: contact as possible. He's looking out to the ocean, his
- 17:35Speaker 1: arms are going to the other direction that she's in.
- 17:38Speaker 1: It's all over um, but you know he's he tries,
- 17:42Speaker 1: you know, he's she's trying to not show it, but
- 17:45Speaker 1: he can't help it with his body. So I think
- 17:47Speaker 1: that when Kylie comes over. Kylie comes over and she's like,
- 17:50Speaker 1: can I steal for a second. He's probably feeling relieved,
- 17:54Speaker 1: and the two of the girls, um Anastasia and and
- 18:01Speaker 1: Kylie get into this battle of like like interpretation where
- 18:08Speaker 1: it's like, um, I don't want to fight about this,
- 18:11Speaker 1: Like I don't want to get into a fight about
- 18:13Speaker 1: her or something like that, right, and then it's Anastasia
- 18:17Speaker 1: goes off and in insinuating that Kylie was going to
- 18:21Speaker 1: start a physical fight over stealing time with Zach, and
- 18:27Speaker 1: then Kylie was like, no, I didn't want to get
- 18:30Speaker 1: like a verbal back and forth, and anyone in their
- 18:33Speaker 1: right mind would be like, yeah, this is about a
- 18:36Speaker 1: verbal back and forth, not an actual physical fight. But
- 18:42Speaker 1: that's what we got, and that just starts a little
- 18:45Speaker 1: bit more drama between Kylie and Anastesia that continues throughout
- 18:50Speaker 1: the rest of the episode. This is the moment that
- 18:51Speaker 1: we officially, uh deem Zach the sweatiest Bachelor of all time.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I don't know if we can't even talk about what
- 19:00Speaker 1: when we have people like Josh Murray in Paradise sweaty
- 19:07Speaker 1: I had a sweaty back. Yeah, I mean, he looks
- 19:09Speaker 1: pretty uncomfortable, not only in the situation, but just with
- 19:12Speaker 1: the amount of heat. I'm assuming he um is getting
- 19:16Speaker 1: padded down as often as possible, because I can see
- 19:19Speaker 1: Zach being a sweater. Um. That's why they're showing him
- 19:21Speaker 1: showers so often, I think because he needs to keep
- 19:24Speaker 1: himself clean. The Yeah, this, uh, this is just a
- 19:29Speaker 1: very uncomfortable moment. Zack is not into this stuff. He's
- 19:32Speaker 1: not He's not gonna play around with it. He's not
- 19:34Speaker 1: gonna play around with the the drama. Um one, I don't
- 19:37Speaker 1: think he. I think he's very uncomfortable within the drama,
- 19:40Speaker 1: like he can't just sit back and watch it play
- 19:41Speaker 1: out too. Um. I imagine that he has made the
- 19:45Speaker 1: commitment to himself to keep this season as drama free
- 19:48Speaker 1: as possible for as long as possible, and so he is.
- 19:52Speaker 1: They some people come up to me. I don't know
- 19:54Speaker 1: where this came from. They used to call me the
- 19:56Speaker 1: axe man because I was so good and so quick
- 19:58Speaker 1: at getting rid of people. I don't know if I
- 20:00Speaker 1: was or not, but I think Zach isn't that. Yeah.
- 20:04Speaker 1: I think he's the one that just says, now you're out,
- 20:06Speaker 1: like this isn't working. All right, We'll see you later. Um,
- 20:09Speaker 1: I think yeah, and he when I look at people's
- 20:12Speaker 1: comments about this season, it seems to be one of
- 20:15Speaker 1: people's favorite traits about him. Yeah, he's just yeah, nope,
- 20:20Speaker 1: acts you. Another awkward moment with Anastasia that I just
- 20:22Speaker 1: want to mention was when they were playing the limbo
- 20:27Speaker 1: and she wanted to give him a kiss for courage
- 20:30Speaker 1: and he was like on the cheek and it's like, wow, dude, yes,
- 20:35Speaker 1: she had to see this coming. Um. Interesting point here
- 20:39Speaker 1: though we don't see it often. Something for all of
- 20:42Speaker 1: us to think about is Zak has been very quick
- 20:45Speaker 1: to tell people to go home when one they feel
- 20:49Speaker 1: distance from their relationship, in two when they're causing drama.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Most seasons UH in recent memory, the SO and so
- 20:59Speaker 1: dramas starter, some would call it the villain, whatever you
- 21:02Speaker 1: wanna call it, has been around for a long time
- 21:04Speaker 1: to keep that storyline going. And I've always said that
- 21:08Speaker 1: the reason that those people are around for a long
- 21:10Speaker 1: time is because, honestly, they're kind of hidden from the lead.
- 21:13Speaker 1: The lead doesn't know exactly what's going on or what
- 21:16Speaker 1: they're saying or what they're doing. That the show does
- 21:18Speaker 1: a really good job at protecting the lead from that
- 21:21Speaker 1: person because they are good television and the show would
- 21:24Speaker 1: like them around a while. And so if the lead
- 21:26Speaker 1: ever sees it, yeah, they just say, hey, you're done,
- 21:28Speaker 1: we're going home. But they protect that person for as
- 21:30Speaker 1: long as they can until it's just very obvious. This
- 21:33Speaker 1: season we're not seeing that. And one I think that
- 21:37Speaker 1: is UH has to do with Zach that I think
- 21:40Speaker 1: he's just saying, no, sorry, this isn't no matter how
- 21:42Speaker 1: good of entertainment this is, This isn't working for this
- 21:46Speaker 1: season to the show is allowing Zach to see all
- 21:49Speaker 1: of this happen and allowing all of this to be
- 21:51Speaker 1: right in front of him so he's able to make
- 21:53Speaker 1: an educated decision. And I wonder, actually, with all of
- 21:56Speaker 1: the critiques of the show, when people have said that
- 22:00Speaker 1: drama is outweighing the love stories, if this is probably
- 22:03Speaker 1: the start of kind of a new era in the
- 22:06Speaker 1: Bachelor world where the villains won't be the storyline and
- 22:10Speaker 1: make up the majority of episodes kind of that week
- 22:13Speaker 1: four or five and six, that six that we usually
- 22:15Speaker 1: see that if this is now going to change and
- 22:17Speaker 1: we'll see this kind of new theme where the villains
- 22:19Speaker 1: don't stick around, that the drama doesn't stick around, that
- 22:22Speaker 1: love is now back in focus. This is definitely the
- 22:26Speaker 1: show's response to that, And I think probably one of
- 22:29Speaker 1: the reasons that they chose Zach because they knew that
- 22:31Speaker 1: he would front this well. And I think we saw
- 22:35Speaker 1: it with Michelle, she was pretty quick to get rid
- 22:39Speaker 1: of problem makers, and now I think he is doing
- 22:44Speaker 1: a great job doing the same. Also wonder what would
- 22:48Speaker 1: happen if this if an issue were to come up
- 22:51Speaker 1: with one of his favorites, like with a cat, like
- 22:55Speaker 1: with the Brooklyn because we think that he's letting go girls.
- 23:02Speaker 1: If there's drama around a girl that he doesn't feel
- 23:04Speaker 1: strongly for, acts right. But I would love to see
- 23:06Speaker 1: how he would deal with if it was somebody that
- 23:08Speaker 1: he would really liked. And I guess you could argue
- 23:10Speaker 1: that last week with Christina it was somebody that he liked,
- 23:15Speaker 1: but we also saw that he was pretty uncomfortable issue
- 23:18Speaker 1: with the fact that she had a daughter stepping into
- 23:21Speaker 1: the stepdad role so immediately, So maybe there wasn't like
- 23:24Speaker 1: another little reasoning behind that. Well, we're gonna see that, right,
- 23:27Speaker 1: We'll see at the end of the season where more issues. Yeah,
- 23:30Speaker 1: not maybe drama and maybe not the same kind of
- 23:33Speaker 1: drama that you see early on in the season's happened
- 23:35Speaker 1: with his favorites, But you'll see issues. Right, It's gonna
- 23:38Speaker 1: come down to family dynamics, will come down to are
- 23:40Speaker 1: you ready or are you not ready? To fall in love.
- 23:43Speaker 1: It will come down to situations where maybe a cat
- 23:47Speaker 1: I don't know, but maybe a cat comes in and says, hey,
- 23:49Speaker 1: I feel like there's distance in our relationship. I feel
- 23:51Speaker 1: like we had a spark and that spark is gone.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Those things are going to happen. They just always happened
- 23:56Speaker 1: on the show. That's what's made the format of the
- 23:58Speaker 1: show work for as long as it had as and
- 24:00Speaker 1: so we will see how are you responds to it.
- 24:02Speaker 1: But right now he's still kind of getting through the
- 24:05Speaker 1: people that he's not as interested in that have made
- 24:08Speaker 1: it this far. Got a nice little trip to the Bahamas,
- 24:11Speaker 1: gotten some sun, gotten to hang out, but he's not
- 24:14Speaker 1: been super sold out on the idea that they're gonna
- 24:17Speaker 1: be together. I just think it's an interesting twist. I
- 24:20Speaker 1: like this change in this show. I'm actually enjoying. This
- 24:23Speaker 1: part of the show is that love and it feels
- 24:26Speaker 1: like these love stories and getting to know these contestants,
- 24:29Speaker 1: which we've complained about for years, we haven't held played
- 24:34Speaker 1: about stupid drama like shrimp where we lose, we lose
- 24:38Speaker 1: the opportunity to get to know the contestants because whole
- 24:42Speaker 1: episodes are made up of drama and the villain and
- 24:45Speaker 1: those things like shrimp Gate that we're like, do we
- 24:47Speaker 1: really care that much about? It's funny for a while,
- 24:49Speaker 1: but it's not funny for a whole episode. I want
- 24:52Speaker 1: to see more character development, and I think right now
- 24:56Speaker 1: at week four, we're starting to see more of that
- 24:58Speaker 1: than we ever have uh in past seasons, and so
- 25:02Speaker 1: I am anxiously excited to see continually how that plays out.
- 25:17Speaker 1: So the group date after party, we see a couple
- 25:20Speaker 1: of good connections. We see Ariel and him and he
- 25:25Speaker 1: says that he loves this mystery about her, and I
- 25:28Speaker 1: have to say, she is mysterious. And she came up
- 25:32Speaker 1: to him and was very concerned about how he was doing,
- 25:35Speaker 1: and I think that was nice and refreshing for him. Um,
- 25:39Speaker 1: he really is into Charity, He's into Gabby says she's
- 25:42Speaker 1: really fun to hang out with. He just seems to
- 25:46Speaker 1: be like really driving with these girls until Kylie comes up,
- 25:50Speaker 1: and it's not like he's not driving with Kylie, but
- 25:52Speaker 1: she's like, I'm just not feeling the best because I
- 25:54Speaker 1: feel so awkward for interrupting your time earlier. And I
- 25:58Speaker 1: have to say I like the it that Kylie was
- 26:01Speaker 1: so honest about how interrupting made her feel uncomfortable, because
- 26:06Speaker 1: interrupting is just the worst on the show. But she
- 26:10Speaker 1: was also after the fact, like after she got that
- 26:13Speaker 1: done and sat down with him, it made her feel
- 26:15Speaker 1: like prepped and ruddy for the night ahead. And just
- 26:18Speaker 1: from my point of view, if you had like a
- 26:21Speaker 1: good moment during the daytime portion, like you didn't have
- 26:23Speaker 1: to be like super deep or heavy or anything like that,
- 26:26Speaker 1: but if you had a good back and for the
- 26:29Speaker 1: little flirtation during the daytime portion of the day, you
- 26:33Speaker 1: had so much more confidence going to the night. And
- 26:35Speaker 1: I was excited that Kylie got to experience that because
- 26:38Speaker 1: it was very relatable for me as somebody who's on
- 26:39Speaker 1: the show. And I feel like that's probably just like
- 26:42Speaker 1: how like life goes right. It's like, have a good
- 26:46Speaker 1: moment with somebody, don't extend it too long, and then
- 26:49Speaker 1: you look forward to seeing that person later. Sure it's
- 26:55Speaker 1: like yeah, it's like, yeah, I just love a little
- 26:58Speaker 1: like warm up, you know, a little appetizer it needs
- 27:02Speaker 1: I needed for the confidence building. Yeah, girls will feel me,
- 27:06Speaker 1: I think, well, I'm sure they will. And I think
- 27:09Speaker 1: there is um it's just always positive when you're open
- 27:15Speaker 1: and honest in any relationship. So she's saying it right.
- 27:18Speaker 1: You get wrapped up in all this dramma, You get
- 27:20Speaker 1: wrapped up on all the things happening around you. You
- 27:22Speaker 1: get a little frustrated. You're probably your confidences is taking
- 27:25Speaker 1: a little bit of a beating, and you say a
- 27:28Speaker 1: react in a way that you feel like later on, hey,
- 27:31Speaker 1: that probably wasn't helping. It might have been hurting, and
- 27:34Speaker 1: you think about it all afternoon, and if you're me,
- 27:36Speaker 1: you bang your head against your pillow and you're like,
- 27:38Speaker 1: why are you so stupid? But then she was able
- 27:41Speaker 1: to say, Okay, I'm gonna confront this, like, I'm going
- 27:43Speaker 1: to actually speak to like why I behaved the way
- 27:45Speaker 1: it did. I think it's a huge deal and I do.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I think it helps relationships. Yeah. The other thing that
- 27:52Speaker 1: she does though, here in this moment where she admits
- 27:54Speaker 1: that she was feeling awkward and blah blah blah, this
- 27:57Speaker 1: is when she does the call out of annas Asia.
- 27:58Speaker 1: She's like, also, Stasia has been saying something about her
- 28:02Speaker 1: being here for Instagram followers, and all of a sudden,
- 28:07Speaker 1: his like siren goes off. This is definitely a sensitive
- 28:11Speaker 1: point for him, and she's like, I wasn't there for
- 28:14Speaker 1: the actual hearing of the conversation. So then he pulls
- 28:18Speaker 1: over Charity who was, and she says that she heard
- 28:24Speaker 1: her say something along the lines of like everybody that's
- 28:28Speaker 1: kind of still there would get about fifty Instagram followers.
- 28:33Speaker 1: It's not true. Bachelor Data came out with something today,
- 28:36Speaker 1: absolutely not true, not even close. So Zach is now
- 28:40Speaker 1: obviously concerned by this and pulls Anssia aside, and she
- 28:46Speaker 1: seems like flabbergasted by it, and it makes me wonder,
- 28:50Speaker 1: it makes me see like we just try to think
- 28:52Speaker 1: about how to give her the benefit of the doubt here. Okay,
- 28:57Speaker 1: she is a social media marketer. Okay, so like that
- 29:00Speaker 1: is her job, and she's probably she was there probably
- 29:04Speaker 1: just asking her about her job. And then maybe one
- 29:07Speaker 1: of the girls said, okay, well, if you had to
- 29:09Speaker 1: get so many followers we would get by being here
- 29:12Speaker 1: in week four, how many do you think we get?
- 29:15Speaker 1: And then she may have just responded and like pretty
- 29:18Speaker 1: like honestly but inaccurately, and it may have been more
- 29:21Speaker 1: innocent than it comes off. But you know, people like
- 29:24Speaker 1: to be like the Instagram police on The Bachelor. Now
- 29:26Speaker 1: it's it's the new, like what was the old? What
- 29:30Speaker 1: was the old? Here for the wrong reasons, just like
- 29:32Speaker 1: to be on TV, like and now it's just to
- 29:36Speaker 1: get Instagram followers. Was there like something before become the bachelor,
- 29:40Speaker 1: become the next lead. That was always what it was
- 29:43Speaker 1: because like on my season, it was I heard that
- 29:46Speaker 1: she was talking about being the next bachelor. Oh my god,
- 29:48Speaker 1: how dare she? But everybody thinks about that while you're
- 29:51Speaker 1: there there, and we've said that before. We're like, that's
- 29:54Speaker 1: just ridiculous. It does if you're saying that it didn't
- 29:56Speaker 1: cross your mind at some point, and Instagram followers my
- 30:00Speaker 1: cross your mind at some point now as well. That
- 30:03Speaker 1: ship a little bit has sailed for just where we
- 30:05Speaker 1: are on the show, Like people just don't gain as
- 30:07Speaker 1: much as they used to. But of course it's something
- 30:11Speaker 1: that they're probably going to think of. Uh so you
- 30:16Speaker 1: totally get it. I'm babbling, but I totally get why
- 30:21Speaker 1: he's concerned. Totally get it. But also I don't think
- 30:26Speaker 1: he should or did um let her go home because
- 30:31Speaker 1: of this point alone. I think if he was really
- 30:35Speaker 1: into her, he'd probably keep her around just to see
- 30:40Speaker 1: if there was something more. I don't know, what do
- 30:42Speaker 1: you think? I just don't know if it's incriminating enough
- 30:46Speaker 1: does that simple sentence. I'm guessing we'll get about fifty
- 30:50Speaker 1: followers when you are a social media Marketer, and like
- 30:52Speaker 1: you're talking about sort of your job in a sense,
- 30:56Speaker 1: I'm also playing Devil's advocate. I just want to say, well,
- 30:59Speaker 1: I mean, you'd have to take in the words of
- 31:03Speaker 1: the cast mates that were around to hear what their
- 31:06Speaker 1: sentiment was and how they think it was communicated. I
- 31:09Speaker 1: would have a seems like charities talking about it, hearing
- 31:12Speaker 1: it for real. Okay, Well, um, she might have felt
- 31:18Speaker 1: different about it. I think you're completely right. I think
- 31:21Speaker 1: if Zach was really into Anastasia and really saw a
- 31:24Speaker 1: future with her, I don't think this would have been
- 31:26Speaker 1: a deal breaker. But I think we've seen in his
- 31:28Speaker 1: body language that he was looking for a reason to
- 31:31Speaker 1: say goodbye to Anastasia now for at least this week,
- 31:35Speaker 1: so I don't I don't think like she was going
- 31:38Speaker 1: to be around much longer anyways. Um. I would also
- 31:42Speaker 1: say that when you're in the house, you know, it's
- 31:45Speaker 1: it's not like people typically are just picking everything you
- 31:50Speaker 1: say to see if they can twist it. Like That's
- 31:52Speaker 1: not how I ever felt in the house when I
- 31:54Speaker 1: was on The Bachelorrette, I felt like we were buddies
- 31:57Speaker 1: talking about life. Now, somebody said something like I can't
- 32:00Speaker 1: wait to be done with this show because I'm gonna
- 32:02Speaker 1: be so famous, I'm gonna get paid to go to clubs,
- 32:04Speaker 1: and I'm gonna do all this. We somebody would have
- 32:06Speaker 1: probably said, Hey, that sounds weird. It doesn't feel like
- 32:09Speaker 1: you're in this for any good reason. But I know
- 32:13Speaker 1: that in the house people talked about like situations of well,
- 32:16Speaker 1: what are you gonna do next? And what do you
- 32:18Speaker 1: look forward to after this? And I'm sure somebody asked, like,
- 32:21Speaker 1: how many followers do you think you're gonna get from this?
- 32:23Speaker 1: Like stuff like that, and that's innocent, and people typically
- 32:26Speaker 1: wouldn't twist that to make you be the bad person.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Um something, Yeah, something was said here, or there's been
- 32:34Speaker 1: a tone, or there's been something that's made somebody say, Hey,
- 32:37Speaker 1: I feel uncomfortable about her intentions of being here, Zack.
- 32:40Speaker 1: I think we can just close this and say, Zach
- 32:42Speaker 1: obviously wasn't that interested in that relationship, and so he said, hey,
- 32:46Speaker 1: not just because of this, but probably because I'm not
- 32:48Speaker 1: that interested, it's time to go home. Mm hmm yep. Alright,
- 32:53Speaker 1: let's talk about the Brooklyn date. Brooklyn need too. She's nice,
- 32:59Speaker 1: she's fun, watch She's it seems down to earth. I
- 33:04Speaker 1: just yeah, she's she's cool, she's very pretty, and like
- 33:07Speaker 1: I would love to have a beer with her and
- 33:10Speaker 1: just hear about her life, like she you know, just
- 33:13Speaker 1: her job is unique. And she's on this dating show
- 33:18Speaker 1: now in a in a world where people probably from her,
- 33:20Speaker 1: like from the Rodeo world, don't really love the Bachelor,
- 33:23Speaker 1: I'd imagine, or maybe they're not, Like I don't know,
- 33:26Speaker 1: maybe they are. I'm just making the assumption that like
- 33:29Speaker 1: maybe like Rodeo and like you know, that those people
- 33:34Speaker 1: aren't tuning into Monday Night Bachelor all the time. And
- 33:37Speaker 1: I think it's cool that she's there. So she's intriguing,
- 33:40Speaker 1: she's interesting, she is sweet, she's down to earth. I
- 33:42Speaker 1: like her. I also like her for Zach m hmm.
- 33:46Speaker 1: I'm watching Brooklyn and this as part of the last
- 33:50Speaker 1: part of this episode. I was like, this is a
- 33:53Speaker 1: pretty good group of girls left. Yeah, I think there
- 33:57Speaker 1: is a group good group of girls still here. I
- 33:59Speaker 1: mean I think he's I mean I would still, you know,
- 34:01Speaker 1: put my stake in the ground and said he's let
- 34:03Speaker 1: let go of some really great girls. I'm obviously very biased,
- 34:07Speaker 1: but I think like even the Brianna like situation, Like,
- 34:10Speaker 1: you know, we didn't get to see a ton of her,
- 34:11Speaker 1: and there are some girls that kind of like snuck
- 34:14Speaker 1: away here that we didn't get to learn a lot about,
- 34:16Speaker 1: and I think those women. I think he had a
- 34:18Speaker 1: great cast. I think we said that the very beginning
- 34:21Speaker 1: when we just saw the pictures, were like, this cast
- 34:23Speaker 1: is gorgeous, and so I think he's just had a
- 34:27Speaker 1: really good group of women on his season, which is
- 34:32Speaker 1: good for Zach. Mm hmm. Really, there's not much to
- 34:36Speaker 1: say about the you know, daytime portion of the day.
- 34:38Speaker 1: It really gets serious on the one on one where
- 34:41Speaker 1: she goes, you know, he's talking about how greater personality is,
- 34:44Speaker 1: just like we just said, and then she was like,
- 34:46Speaker 1: you would have no idea who I was like a
- 34:49Speaker 1: year ago. Like she just says that she's kind of
- 34:53Speaker 1: become a full person again after she had six years
- 34:59Speaker 1: of an abusive relationship first start out. First it started
- 35:02Speaker 1: out as an emotionally abusive relationship and then it turned physical,
- 35:05Speaker 1: and she said it was something that her entire life
- 35:08Speaker 1: she just wanted to avoid. She's like, I wanted to
- 35:11Speaker 1: be like my grandparents. They were really healthy relationship role
- 35:13Speaker 1: models I never wanted to be how the relationship my
- 35:17Speaker 1: parents did, particularly like she just didn't want to ever
- 35:19Speaker 1: be with a man like her dad. She said her
- 35:20Speaker 1: dad was awful, and then she basically did just that,
- 35:26Speaker 1: and she finally got out of it, and she said
- 35:28Speaker 1: the thing that broke her out of it was the
- 35:32Speaker 1: police having to wake her up from being knocked out gracious,
- 35:38Speaker 1: like unbelievable. I know, it's just this, this is the
- 35:43Speaker 1: saddest story. And it's like, I don't even know what
- 35:48Speaker 1: to say about it, except for I really do genuinely
- 35:51Speaker 1: feel like Zach was handled the situation and hearing her
- 35:56Speaker 1: story very well, and and I feel like she felt
- 36:01Speaker 1: pretty safe with him, Like she felt safe in the
- 36:04Speaker 1: sense that like she could talk to him about it,
- 36:06Speaker 1: but also in the sense that like he would never
- 36:09Speaker 1: do that to her, and he would obviously would never
- 36:13Speaker 1: do that to her. But you know what I mean, well,
- 36:15Speaker 1: I mean, earlier on we talked about courage and this.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure there's many people watching this um
- 36:23Speaker 1: show and saying, like, you know, one rallying around her
- 36:27Speaker 1: uh and saying, you know, to Brooklyn, like you know,
- 36:31Speaker 1: want us wanting to support her to I'm sure there's
- 36:34Speaker 1: people out there watching it that have been through or
- 36:37Speaker 1: in a similar situation and now they feel less alone.
- 36:40Speaker 1: And her courage to speak up and share this story
- 36:43Speaker 1: is um, I don't know either the word to put
- 36:47Speaker 1: him not only impressive, but just humbling, and it's it's
- 36:51Speaker 1: one of those moments where you sit there and you
- 36:53Speaker 1: watch it and like your heart hurts, your stomach hurts,
- 36:56Speaker 1: and you're just like, how can how is this? How
- 36:58Speaker 1: do people uh exists in the world that would hurt
- 37:01Speaker 1: somebody like her in this way for so long? Like
- 37:05Speaker 1: how are there that? Like? How is somebody so terrible?
- 37:08Speaker 1: But then then you know for me, as I was
- 37:10Speaker 1: watching it and and the switch happened, like but yeah,
- 37:15Speaker 1: but then look at her, like now she's on television
- 37:19Speaker 1: taking a risk, like this is why this show. This
- 37:22Speaker 1: is why we fell in love with the show at
- 37:23Speaker 1: the beginning, is because people like Brooklyn said, I just
- 37:26Speaker 1: I need another shot at love, like I need another
- 37:28Speaker 1: shot to put myself out there and see if it
- 37:31Speaker 1: can exist. If it doesn't exist here on the show,
- 37:33Speaker 1: maybe I'll learn something and grow from this experience, And
- 37:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna go back out into the world and find
- 37:38Speaker 1: find my partner in the world. And that's you know,
- 37:41Speaker 1: that's why, Like what this show has always been about
- 37:44Speaker 1: is these love stories and these people saying I need
- 37:46Speaker 1: a second chance or I need a chance at love.
- 37:49Speaker 1: And so for Brooklyn to put herself back onto the show,
- 37:52Speaker 1: I think it's such a big deal, um, and one
- 37:55Speaker 1: that we can can't underestimate and one that we can't
- 37:57Speaker 1: put words into. Only she could. But um, yeah, this
- 38:01Speaker 1: this is uh, this is this is one of those
- 38:04Speaker 1: moments you wish never existed in the world, but they
- 38:07Speaker 1: but it does, and and Brooklyn now has spoken out
- 38:10Speaker 1: about it and so many people I think, um will
- 38:14Speaker 1: feel us alone again because of her story, Yes for sure. Alright, well,
- 38:20Speaker 1: I guess we will move on to the cocktail party.
- 38:23Speaker 1: I'd say the most notable thing to talk about here is, well,
- 38:27Speaker 1: this is where Anastasia gets eliminated. Kylie gets really upset
- 38:34Speaker 1: at the fact that she even brought up in the
- 38:35Speaker 1: situation about Instagram because she just feels like she's now
- 38:38Speaker 1: responsible for somebody's elimination. She shouldn't feel this way, and
- 38:43Speaker 1: I think she was just exaggerating. But I understand. I
- 38:47Speaker 1: understand that, I understand the guilt, but she she should
- 38:51Speaker 1: just know she's fine. Yeah, and how much of that
- 38:54Speaker 1: gil is coming from her being concerned to that Zack
- 38:57Speaker 1: is going to see her as kind of that like
- 38:59Speaker 1: fire starter tittle tale. That's what she also said. She
- 39:02Speaker 1: was like, I'm afraid I'm not going to get a
- 39:04Speaker 1: rose because I was the one who like stirred up drama.
- 39:07Speaker 1: She gets the rose. And the other thing is d
- 39:09Speaker 1: Villa is getting emotional because she feels like she hasn't
- 39:12Speaker 1: had a lot of quality one on one time, which
- 39:14Speaker 1: is probably true, and he she sees Hi and she
- 39:20Speaker 1: sees Zack pulled cat aside for one on one time
- 39:24Speaker 1: when she already has a rose, had a one on
- 39:26Speaker 1: one all that, and it's just like, Okay, I'm feeling
- 39:30Speaker 1: very bottom of the totem pole here. And unfortunately she
- 39:34Speaker 1: was right because she did get eliminated, and she got
- 39:37Speaker 1: eliminated after like they did kiss at the cocktail party,
- 39:41Speaker 1: but you can tell him the kiss that it wasn't
- 39:43Speaker 1: there for him and it made me feel sad for her,
- 39:46Speaker 1: But she doesn't really know. She didn't really know in
- 39:48Speaker 1: the moment. It was just kind of a couple of
- 39:51Speaker 1: little pecks were as the other kisses are far more passionate.
- 39:58Speaker 1: At the Rose ceremony, we see di Villa and Genevieve
- 40:02Speaker 1: go home. Genevie. Justice for Genevieve. She broke her arm
- 40:08Speaker 1: during this season and went home in week four. I
- 40:10Speaker 1: mean that talk about somebody's going to go home and
- 40:12Speaker 1: be like, was that worth it? I'm hoping she's laughing,
- 40:14Speaker 1: giggling about all this today because this show put her
- 40:18Speaker 1: through the ringer. Oh that's funny. Poor girl. You know,
- 40:24Speaker 1: she'll always have a story to tell. A couple of years,
- 40:26Speaker 1: she'll be she'll be glad. Yeah, poor girl. Um So
- 40:30Speaker 1: who we have left now? Not that many? I mean
- 40:34Speaker 1: we have a very small group. Oh glad. I'm glad
- 40:37Speaker 1: we are at this point that we can remember all
- 40:39Speaker 1: names and really like root for people. You got Charity, Katie, Gabby, Jess, Mercedes,
- 40:45Speaker 1: Ali Greer, Kylie, thank kat Thank you, kat In Brooklyn.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Of these girls the ones that, oh scenario, thank you
- 40:55Speaker 1: for giving me the rose, the Rose getters that happened
- 40:58Speaker 1: before the Rose ceremony. Of these girls, the ones that
- 41:02Speaker 1: are not standing out to me so much like I
- 41:04Speaker 1: can't I'm not like, oh, yes, I remember that moment.
- 41:06Speaker 1: I remember that moment with them would be just and Mercedes,
- 41:10Speaker 1: what about you? Oh yeah, I mean i'd probably have
- 41:13Speaker 1: to say the same thing. I just just did have
- 41:16Speaker 1: a moment this week, he said. He said, I'm glad
- 41:19Speaker 1: you're here. Like, well, you know, he was like, I
- 41:22Speaker 1: know you're probably feeling a little bit behind, but like
- 41:25Speaker 1: I just know that I'm like really glad you're here.
- 41:27Speaker 1: So that is a very comforting thing for her here.
- 41:30Speaker 1: It's better than him being like, hey, you know, I
- 41:32Speaker 1: just didn't have enough. Yeah, I have a couple of
- 41:35Speaker 1: roses here and honestly you just kind of made the cut. Um,
- 41:39Speaker 1: So no, it's better there. I mean, I I really
- 41:42Speaker 1: think next week we're gonna see Gero home. No really,
- 41:46Speaker 1: I do. I just have this first impression Rose. Yeah.
- 41:50Speaker 1: He hasn't given her a date. Yeah, that would be
- 41:51Speaker 1: really crazy. Yeah, I just feel like it's going to
- 41:53Speaker 1: be one of those first impression roses that kind of
- 41:55Speaker 1: like come in then leave earlier than we expect. I
- 41:58Speaker 1: have a prediction. I don't know anything. We have headlines
- 42:13Speaker 1: to break down Ashley. Let's jump into him. The first
- 42:16Speaker 1: headline is about me. Um, yeah, well you can take
- 42:20Speaker 1: this one, then you can break it down here it goes.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Chris Lane and Lauren Bushnell Lane react to his run
- 42:27Speaker 1: in with Ben Higgins at the golf tournament the Hilton
- 42:30Speaker 1: Grand Vacations Golf Tournament. This is according to US Weekly. Okay, well,
- 42:34Speaker 1: Chris Lane and Lauren Bushnell Lane spoke exclusively to US
- 42:38Speaker 1: Weekly after her ex fiance Ben Higgins revealed that he
- 42:43Speaker 1: played in the same golf tournament as the country singer.
- 42:46Speaker 1: It was great. I know he I know he's played
- 42:51Speaker 1: in that tournament for several years now. Chris said, um.
- 42:55Speaker 1: And then he continued to say, I was very excited
- 42:59Speaker 1: to be part of it down there in Orlando. And
- 43:02Speaker 1: then Laurence said that Chris has been talking about this
- 43:06Speaker 1: tournament leading up to leading up to it for about
- 43:09Speaker 1: four months. And I've never met someone who loves golf
- 43:11Speaker 1: as much as Chris Lane, except for maybe you, Ben Higgins.
- 43:15Speaker 1: I was gonna say, I'm offended. Yeah, And then they
- 43:20Speaker 1: also said Ben was actually the first pete, one of
- 43:23Speaker 1: the first people that I ran into at the hotel.
- 43:25Speaker 1: This is what Chris is saying. And he had a
- 43:27Speaker 1: chance to talk to you for a little bit. What
- 43:29Speaker 1: a nice guy. We had such a great time We
- 43:33Speaker 1: didn't get to play golf together, but we had several
- 43:35Speaker 1: run ins and it was great. We should have played
- 43:38Speaker 1: golf together. We had the same score after day one
- 43:41Speaker 1: and wells. Chris and I were like, there's no way
- 43:44Speaker 1: they don't put us together, and I was looking forward
- 43:46Speaker 1: to it. We did have a good time. It was
- 43:47Speaker 1: nice to hang out with Chris. We did get to
- 43:48Speaker 1: hang out quite a bit. I enjoyed it. We talked
- 43:51Speaker 1: about the podcast, But how the tournament did not put
- 43:54Speaker 1: Chris Lane and I together walking the fairways competing as
- 43:57Speaker 1: each other is beyond me. I don't know what what
- 44:00Speaker 1: why they didn't. It's as yeah, we could have. We
- 44:04Speaker 1: could have created some job. We could have fake fought
- 44:07Speaker 1: or really fought. I don't know if I um on
- 44:10Speaker 1: the fairways, but yeah, it was great to be with him.
- 44:11Speaker 1: That's such a cool tournament. It was so fun and
- 44:14Speaker 1: I'm happy anytime somebody else gets the invite um to
- 44:17Speaker 1: enjoy it with us. So um, yeah, that's that headline.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Next headline is this Bachelor Nation couple Joe and Serena
- 44:23Speaker 1: are definitely thinking about kids some days, says real real
- 44:30Speaker 1: juicy han guys. Uh. They talked on their first day
- 44:34Speaker 1: in Paradise that they'd like to have kids, but not
- 44:37Speaker 1: right now. They're assuming that they'll like to have to
- 44:41Speaker 1: but they're in no rush and that's all they got. Goodness,
- 44:45Speaker 1: that's all we have. Okay. Uh. This is a question
- 44:47Speaker 1: that gets asked very often. In fact, it was asked
- 44:50Speaker 1: me last night at Ohio University. What happens to the
- 44:53Speaker 1: Neil Lane engagement ring after Bachelor Nation splits? Um, some
- 44:58Speaker 1: leads talked to Yahoo and explain. Okay, so there are
- 45:02Speaker 1: two ways for Bachelor Nation members to keep the engagement
- 45:04Speaker 1: ring gifted to them by ABC. You either make it
- 45:07Speaker 1: down the aisle, or you stay engaged for at least
- 45:11Speaker 1: two years. After a certain number of years you get
- 45:15Speaker 1: to keep it anyways, but after months it goes back.
- 45:19Speaker 1: That's what Chris Harrison said to Entertainment Weekly. Um. It's
- 45:23Speaker 1: also makes me wonder about certain situations though, where like
- 45:30Speaker 1: Chris ran Down and Crystal they got married. They got married,
- 45:37Speaker 1: but they were only together for two years and then
- 45:39Speaker 1: they got divorced like six months later. So what does
- 45:42Speaker 1: that mean. I'd imagine they keep the ring, okay, because
- 45:45Speaker 1: it says make it down the aisle. Imagine they keep
- 45:47Speaker 1: the ring it's in their name. Then okay uh, and
- 45:51Speaker 1: then let's see Ali. We have a couple of examples here.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Ali said that she and Roberto weren't getting together for
- 46:00Speaker 1: eighteen months. Wow, that's actually feels like I can't believe
- 46:02Speaker 1: they're were together for eighteen months. Um. And she says,
- 46:06Speaker 1: I know that number so well because I was like,
- 46:10Speaker 1: I don't want them to take my engagement ring away,
- 46:14Speaker 1: and she was like, this is part of my history,
- 46:16Speaker 1: Like this is mine. You cannot have it. Per the contract.
- 46:20Speaker 1: It was supposed to be two years, but they let
- 46:22Speaker 1: her keep it. Good for her, Good for her. I
- 46:25Speaker 1: want to know what happens once it goes back, Like
- 46:27Speaker 1: does Neil Lane resell that is? Is there like millions
- 46:31Speaker 1: of dollars of engagement rings sitting in Warner Brothers like
- 46:34Speaker 1: block box right now? Um, Mike, my guess would be
- 46:37Speaker 1: that they take the diamonds out and they reuse the diamonds,
- 46:40Speaker 1: wouldn't you think? I always wonder if you're like getting
- 46:42Speaker 1: somebody else's like cursed diamond though, like from a relationship
- 46:46Speaker 1: that didn't work out. Could be it could be. I mean,
- 46:49Speaker 1: those things are big. I gotta read this about Becka
- 46:53Speaker 1: Koufren says Season fourteen Bachelor Becker Koufer and once joked
- 46:57Speaker 1: about having a ring a yard. Uh, they get to
- 47:03Speaker 1: keep them all locked away, hidden from everyone, all the
- 47:05Speaker 1: scorned rings, That's what she said. So I guess all
- 47:10Speaker 1: of Becca Koufren's rings, which according to our deductions and
- 47:14Speaker 1: that and that rule would mean that yes, they went back.
- 47:17Speaker 1: Goodness gracious. Well. Ivan Hall opens up about his relationship
- 47:21Speaker 1: with his girlfriend and his time on reality television. Well,
- 47:26Speaker 1: he posted this in an Instagram. He said, this beauty
- 47:29Speaker 1: here is all mine. We have known each other for
- 47:32Speaker 1: many years and always find our way back to one another.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Stay tuned for more of our journey. That's what we got. Oh,
- 47:41Speaker 1: she's a doctor, she's an antcesiologist. She's also extremely athletic.
- 47:46Speaker 1: She deserves the world. Wow, what a catch, What a catch? Well,
- 47:50Speaker 1: Love Is Blind's Cold Barnet is rumored to be spending
- 47:54Speaker 1: time with the Bachelor Season twenty winners Susie Evans. So
- 47:58Speaker 1: Cole said that his first date that is not Love
- 48:02Speaker 1: is Blind oriented, was with Bachelor season winner Susie Evans,
- 48:09Speaker 1: and apparently the conversation went very well or flirting, and
- 48:14Speaker 1: I think it's maybe like a phone call dates. It
- 48:18Speaker 1: was something like that, so it wasn't a real Yeah. Yeah,
- 48:23Speaker 1: it seems like it's starting. It's like the starting out,
- 48:26Speaker 1: like a starting out phase. But by the end of
- 48:29Speaker 1: this call, Susie said hurry up and getting my d
- 48:33Speaker 1: m s. And then he ended the call by telling
- 48:36Speaker 1: Susie to hurry up and getting his d m s.
- 48:39Speaker 1: And then Susie said, I'll shoot you one over And
- 48:42Speaker 1: this is all happening kind of like in a public form.
- 48:46Speaker 1: I think it was like an interview. Wow, this is
- 48:49Speaker 1: a big deal. Big deal. Well, final headline. It is
- 48:52Speaker 1: Valentine's Day. So for all of you out there who
- 48:54Speaker 1: are celebrating romantic love, hey, I hope you have a
- 48:58Speaker 1: great day. For all of you out there who are single, hey,
- 49:00Speaker 1: I hope you have a great day. I hope this
- 49:02Speaker 1: is an awesome day for you. Don't get down in yourself.
- 49:04Speaker 1: Um uh. This day is always a weird day for
- 49:07Speaker 1: so many But if you are in love and you're
- 49:10Speaker 1: celebrating Valentine's Day, we have a little um info from
- 49:15Speaker 1: two of Bachelor Nation's biggest stars. Trisa Sutter and her
- 49:19Speaker 1: husband Ryan have lasted over twenty years as the o
- 49:22Speaker 1: G Bachelor Nation couple. They explain how in this article,
- 49:26Speaker 1: so she says that they're actually still learning to communicate
- 49:29Speaker 1: even twenty years later. Like sometimes we'll say stuff like
- 49:34Speaker 1: I know that you have done nothing wrong, but this
- 49:37Speaker 1: is still really difficult for me. I love you, but
- 49:39Speaker 1: I just need time to figure things out and just
- 49:42Speaker 1: to figure out my own emotions. Not for us to
- 49:44Speaker 1: figure this out, but figure out how to process and
- 49:47Speaker 1: deal with this on my own, She says. Naturally, when
- 49:50Speaker 1: you're in a relationship, you figure out when to engage,
- 49:53Speaker 1: and then they still do. But we also have to
- 49:56Speaker 1: like ask each other questions and constantly remind each other
- 50:00Speaker 1: that we need to be in a relationship. And even
- 50:04Speaker 1: after twenty years, you can still learn how you know
- 50:09Speaker 1: your partner wants to be communicated with some good tips.
- 50:12Speaker 1: They're seventy two years. Her grandparents are married. That's awesome.
- 50:15Speaker 1: My parents just celebrated forty years um a few days ago.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Massive accomplishments out there. Congratulations to your parents. Yeah, great
- 50:23Speaker 1: people to look up to. Hey, that's all we have
- 50:26Speaker 1: for you today. This has been the Almost Famous Podcast.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Back next week with another episode of The Almost Famous Podcast,
- 50:30Speaker 1: Breaking down episode of five of Zach season of The
- 50:34Speaker 1: Bachelor allows to look forward to a lot to We
- 50:36Speaker 1: talked about that for a second. It's happening in London,
- 50:39Speaker 1: which is exciting. I think that's a really cool location,
- 50:41Speaker 1: and I don't think we use a lot utilize it
- 50:43Speaker 1: a lot. I just remember Emily Maynard season in London.
- 50:46Speaker 1: I don't remember them going back since, so I'm excited
- 50:49Speaker 1: for that. But it doesn't look like we're going to
- 50:50Speaker 1: get the many dates there because something is going on,
- 50:54Speaker 1: and I'm really intrigued to find out what it is.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Zach is in a suit on zoom FaceTime or something
- 51:01Speaker 1: we never I don't think we're seeing I don't know
- 51:03Speaker 1: how to rewatch it, but I don't think we like
- 51:05Speaker 1: see him with the girls in London and they're all
- 51:08Speaker 1: freaking out because it seems like he's not there. So
- 51:10Speaker 1: I'm so I'm torn on whether or not he's sick
- 51:15Speaker 1: and like he has COVID and needs a quarantine, or
- 51:18Speaker 1: whether there's like some family emergency and he had to
- 51:21Speaker 1: go back home for it. Yeah, let's go. Hey, we're
