- 0:14SPEAKER_01: What is going on, big ballers?
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: It's your boy Manny James coming at you live.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: Just kidding, it's pre-recorded for entertainment purposes.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: Coming at you with this year's first episode of Fantasy Football Sports Minds.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: And of course, I have my lovely co-host.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: Just kidding.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: My devilish co-host, Joe the Bird Man.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Joe, how the hell are you doing today, brother?
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: I'm doing very well, Manny.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: I'm so happy football season is back.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: And we put together um our own list that we're going to compare today, and that's for running backs or top 20 running backs.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: But I'll tell you what, it's going to be nice to just see how your list unfolds compared to mine.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: And we've got a four-part preseason package where we're going to go top 20 running backs, top 20 wide receivers, top 15 quarterbacks, and top 15 tight ends.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: So I'm eager to see who you have in your top 20, compare contrast with mine.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: We're going to get right into that after a word from our sponsor.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: Hey there.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: My name is Manny James Gonzalez with PRB, and I'm a real estate agent here in Central Florida.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: I'm a U.S.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: Navy veteran, military relocation pro, and big supporter of 2A and veterans' rights.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: My specialty is VA transactions, muscle experience in all parts of real estate.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: I've been living in Florida for over 20 years, and I can tell you we still believe in freedom down here.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: One of the greatest job markets, excellent economy, and no state income tax.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: When it comes to an agent, you want one that's gonna be honest, not afraid of a fight, and most importantly, you're willing to do the things that some agents aren't willing to do.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: And what's that, Manny?
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: Too straight, Dan.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: If you ever consider buying in Central Florida, you need somebody you can trust, and I got your six.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: I'm Manny James Gonzalez.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Find land for the free and home for the brave.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Manny, my number one running back this year, which I believe is probably going to be the same as you, Christian McCaffrey.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: He had over 2,000 offensive yards last year, and I'm not really sure if we need to say anything else.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Uh, he's completely in sync with the 49ers offense, and I'm not really worried about his calf strain at all.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: He's got plenty of time to heal up before the season starts, and it seems like it's something very minor.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, um, you're definitely right about that.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: Uh, that's a lot of yardage.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: He was the number one scoring back last year.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: He's also my number one as well.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: And uh, I mean, I love the fact that he got 21 touches per game.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: So for me, that's amazing, and a reason why he should be going number one overall in all drafts this year as well.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: And I believe he averaged 24.5 fantasy points per game.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: Good luck matching that.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: I don't know if he's gonna be able to pull it off this year, but we'll see.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Hopefully.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Now, at number two, I've got running back Brees Hall.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: He had over 1,500 total yards last year, 994 rushing yards, 591 receiving yards.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: That's huge, those receiving yards, because if you're in a PPR league, every catch counts.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: And he did that on a team with a really bad offense.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: With Aaron Rodgers back on the field, those numbers should continue to grow.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: Um, and I definitely I I would a hundred percent agree with you.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: He is a beast.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Um, and I've been making some recent changes, obviously, leading up into the show.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: I made like a last-minute change.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: Um, and the more and more time goes by, the more I love Jonathan Taylor, man.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: I just think behind uh that quarterback, uh, he's just gonna go ahead and do his thing, you know, and and Anthony Richardson is is gonna go ahead and boost up his value, and that's gonna be a run first offense, you know, with a little West Coast passing.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: So I think that that him getting his 18 touches a game despite being injured second half of the season, he's gonna make his way to being uh that Jonathan Taylor we we know knew and loved two years ago.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: Now coming in at number three, I've got Falcons running back Bijan Robinson.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: Um, the Falcons coaching last year was hard to understand, but when they gave Bijan the ball, he looked incredible.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: So he's a great pass-catching running back, and he runs like a bull.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: So with the coaching changes and the addition of Kirk Cousins, I think Bijan's gonna be an absolute force.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, for sure.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: For sure.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: He's gonna definitely do something this year.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: Um, but for me, actually, uh, we're on number three, right?
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Number three, yes.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so my number three, I actually have Brees Hall.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: Uh obviously he talked about him.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: I just love his work low.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: 17 uh touches a game is all I need there.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: But obviously, you were higher on him.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: Uh, but that's my guy there.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: Um, but I have Bijan a little bit later on, of course.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and you know, with these top spots, it's so easy to change things.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: As you were just saying, you made some minor adjustments.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's you know, same exact thing I did a couple hours beforehand, looking at my stats.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: You slide one guy up, one guy down.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: Guys, these rankings are subject to change, and if they've got a tiny little adjustment, it's completely normal.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: You can disagree with everything we're saying, but everyone everyone agrees with that that these minor adjustments are going to happen.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: And at the number four spot, I have Saquon Barkley.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: Barkley has always been a monster, an absolute monster.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: Uh, but he's been on the Giants his entire career.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: They've had a losing record every year he's been with them, except in 2019, when they went nine and seven.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: And they weren't even good that year.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: I mean, they squeaked in to the playoffs, I believe.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: But um, every other year, you know, they're just really, really bad.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: They're struggling to get touchdowns and they're trying to get up the field any way possible.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: And that was usually leaning on Saquon, which can be good for fantasy, but when you're not getting in the end zone and you're the only weapon, so that's all that the defense really has to worry about.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: That's that's not a good recipe for success.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: So now he's on one of the best offenses in the league, and I believe that Jalen Hurts will bring out the best Barkley we've ever seen.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: He's gonna open the field, they're not gonna know you know who to cover in the runs or the pass game.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: It's gonna confuse defenses, and I think they're just gonna let loose with Saquon.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, love Saquon.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: Uh, got him a little bit farther down.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: Uh, just for me on my fourth spot, um, I actually have someone from another team we love spoke about a lot last year.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: I have Jameer Gibbs uh for my pick in number four.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: Jameer Gibbs is an excellent uh all-round pass catcher and back, he was explosive with the ball.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: I mean, averaging he only averaged 15 touches a game, and the guy was getting, you know, uh, he got over 260 points.
- 7:49SPEAKER_01: And if you watched him last year, he didn't start getting touches to maybe fourth or fifth, the fourth or fifth game of the season.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: So it took him a while to even get rolling.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: Um, so I expect him to be the number one this year, and Dave Montgomery to take that uh backup role and and the goal line role.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: So that that's my guy that I have coming up there.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: Um completely agree with that, uh, which segues very nicely into my number five, which is Jameer Gibbs.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: Um, last year everyone was waiting on Gibbs to break out.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: You know, we'd you and I would say every week, you know, we're waiting for him to break out.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: We love the Detroit Lions.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: We are Detroit Lions fans here, uh, despite neither of us being from Detroit, or I don't think I've ever even been there.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: Um, but he did spend most of the season splitting carries with Dave Montgomery pretty evenly.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: And with that said, he still put up 945 rushing yards and 316 receiving yards.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: I just see the the Lions letting him loose this year.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: He is the RB1.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: We had Dave Montgomery eating a lot of the goal line work, but you have to think about it.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: Jameer Gibbs is a rookie running back, they're not just gonna give him the full workload right off the bat.
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: You know, halfway through the season, he was getting more and more involved.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: And then towards the end of the season, it was pretty much the Jameer Gibbs show where Dave Montgomery was more of a change of pace back.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: I expect that to continue at the start of this year.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: David Montgomery will still be involved, but nothing like he was last year.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: And and who cares if he vultures a few goal line carries?
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: It's it's not going to affect the full workload of Jameer Gibbs.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: Great.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: And uh, who do you have at number five?
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: Um, my number five is actually somebody I slept on last year.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: Uh, somebody that plays for the LA Rams, Kyron Williams.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: Um, he came out of the gates hot.
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: He had multiple two touchdown games early on in the season, and that guy was just on absolute fire.
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: Um, the guy was averaging over 21 touches a game.
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: I mean, and that's passes and runs included.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: And he had uh so many touchdowns that year, it was just ridiculous.
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: So um obviously he couldn't stay healthy, but I expect him to come back with a full workload and another high-powered Rams offense.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, uh, they are a high-powered offense, and your number five segues very nicely into my number six, Kyron Williams.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: Um he surprised everyone with a huge leap forward last year.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: No one really saw that coming.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, most people were scrambling to get him on their team once once you saw what he was doing.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: Um, but he had 228 carries for 1,144 yards, and he had over 200 receiving yards, and he finished with 12 rushing touchdowns and three receiving touchdowns, but he only played in 12 games.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: Imagine what we can what he can do if we get a full season out of him.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, definitely.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: Um, and who's your number six?
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: Uh, number six, I have the running back from uh Duval County, Jacksonville, uh Travis ETN.
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: The gentleman I mean, he just killed it last year.
- 11:09SPEAKER_01: He was uh 19 touches a game.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: I mean, the guys at 18 points a game, so he was just absolutely on fire, played the full season in an offense that had no O-line.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: I mean, those are really good points.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: And if if you guys had them last year, you knew he had a couple dud games, but he also had a couple um multi-score games, like three touchdown games.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: So that would have won your week alone, because they were playoff weeks, if I remember correctly, because I had them you know on my team.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: Uh, but definitely a great pickup.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: Uh, someone who I think is gonna have another repeat success here because the O-line did get better.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, um I'm I'm still kicking myself for not uh accepting two trades that you sent me for Travis Stien.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: I doubted him last year, he shoved it right down my throat.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: Uh and I do and I do see the I do see um the Jacksonville team just continuing to do what they do, but possibly being even better.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: Um so yeah, that that's that's definitely a good call.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: Um, my number seven is Jonathan Taylor.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: Uh we're still waiting on a full-blown return for JT, but he finished last year very strong.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: And you got to remember that last year, the majority of the season, he was slightly injured or splitting carries with Zach Moss.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: You know, he was you could tell he was easing back into being on the field in a full capacity.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: And um, Zach Moss was an absolute monster.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: So they didn't, you know, the Colts just didn't want to cut him out of the equation.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: And um, if we get a full season from Jonathan Taylor, he could easily be in the top three.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: You know, we're still waiting on that guy we saw from a few years ago.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: Um, I just need to see it before I can rank him in the the top five.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: But uh I think just like you said, Richardson is gonna open the field a lot and and add a huge amount of value to Jonathan Taylor.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: All right, my number seven, I have uh Saquon Barkley.
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: Obviously, for the reasons you said, I mean, the guy was on fire.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Um, even on a terrible giant, he was the whole offense for the Giants.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: 20 touches a game.
- 13:26SPEAKER_01: I mean, with no O-line, no quarterback, no no offensive coordinator, like that team was just a uh a dumpster fire of money just being burnt up.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: And then the moment the guy leaves, they they say that they are better off without him.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, go right tell yourself that, Giants.
- 13:43SPEAKER_01: If you're watching this, you're a Giants fan, and you said that, you're an idiot.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you don't mean it.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: If you really if you said that, you don't mean it, and you know you don't mean it.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: No, if you said that, you're an idiot.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: Or you're an idiot.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: You either you're either a liar or an idiot.
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: So yeah, don't lie to me.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: If you said that's an idiot, don't lie to yourself.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: But Saquon's gonna be the man.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: I just think they might ease him into it because they want him for the playoffs.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: So he'll have some big gains, but then he's gonna have some teen weeks, so I don't think he's gonna be consistently enough blown up to have him in my top five.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: That's fair.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: Now, at number eight, this might be a little high for some people, but uh, I am biased.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: I love the guy, and I couldn't have been happier when I heard that Derrick Henry was traded to the Baltimore Ravens.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: Um, we've seen what average he signed with the Ravens, yeah, you know what I mean.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: Um, but we've seen what average running backs can do on that team, you know?
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: So now you have King Henry in the backfield.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: He might be a little bit past his prime, but just like Anthony Richardson will do with Jonathan Taylor, I expect Lamar and the Ravens offense to create more opportunities for Derrick Henry.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: And the thing is, we've seen, like we were just talking about Barkley, we've seen what Henry can do on a mediocre offense.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: So look for another solid year with massive volume from Derrick Henry.
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: You know, I know we had some similar places on the list, but this is only the second guy we have ranked exactly the same on our list.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: I have Derrick Henry at number eight.
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: And let me tell you, he he had a reduced roll last year because we're used to Derrick Henry seeing 350 to 400 touches a year.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: The man still had over 300 touches last year.
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: He had 280 uh rush attempts, and then he had 28 receptions, not including targets.
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: So the guy was over 300 touches last year and averaged 18 touches a game.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: So he was and he was still as durable as they come, and and what was a terrible Titans offense until they actually even signed or started Will Levis.
- 16:00SPEAKER_01: So I think him being with Lamar, similar to that Anthony Richardson effect on on Jonathan Taylor, and you know that uh uh the Jalen Hurts effect on Saquon, you're gonna see some serious, you know, goal line touchdowns with Derrick Henry, because there's no way you're gonna be at that red zone, not hand it to that big guy.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and you you know that you brought up a good point.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: Um I was one of those people that was complaining about his volume last year, and uh he got more carries than anyone in the NFL.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: He had he had more attempts than anyone in the NFL.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: So um more than McCaffrey.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: McCaffrey had 272.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: So yeah, you know, you gotta you gotta take a step back and look at the big picture before you can't you can't just look at a few games and um you know come to a conclusion based on that.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: Plus, people talk, you'll hear people regurgitate the same bullshit they tell each other.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: Oh, Derrick Henry didn't get no touches, he just wasn't productive because the O-line wasn't good.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: Doesn't mean he lost a step, it just means that there was people in the backfield the moment he got the ball.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: Because when you have Derrick Henry, you're stacking that line of scrimmage every single play, and that's how they played him last year.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: You know, and there were there were a few people that were you know talking about how he's gonna lose his job, he he might not be the RB1, you know.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: To to who uh to Tejy um uh what the what's his last name?
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: You're talking about the guy that is T Spears.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: I'm talking about last season.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: You know, people were talking about T Spears eating into his production.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: You know, when you're losing, you have to change the game script.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: So if you can't run the ball, you're gonna try throwing the ball.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: And T J Spears was a pass-catching running back, you know.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: So when people saw the Titans losing and then they reverted to the throw, like what do you expect them to do when they're down two, three touchdowns?
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: You can't just keep running the ball.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: So if they're gonna if they're going, is he if he's on a winning team like the Baltimore Ravens?
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, what are they gonna do?
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: They're gonna give him the ball, they're gonna feed him the ball over and over and over.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, the the recipe for success is right there, baked in.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: Now, at the number nine spot, this is a guy that I doubted last year.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: Rashad White.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: He quietly racked up over 1,500 total yards last season, and he tied Christian McCaffrey for the second most rushing attempts in the NFL, only behind the man we were just talking about, Derrick Henry.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, him and McCaffrey both had 272 rushing attempts.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: I just don't see a lot changing this year with the Tampa Bay offense.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: And seriously, Rashad White's young, he's just getting warmed up.
- 18:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I like Rashad.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: Uh, I'll save some comments for him a little bit later.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: Uh, for my number nine, I actually have a guy that was like the definition of dynamite, Mr.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: Devin Achan.
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: I mean, the guy touched the ball and he was freaking in the end zone.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: The guy ran a four, two and a half, something like that.
- 19:10SPEAKER_01: So he touched the ball, he was averaging like seven and a half yards a uh a carry.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: It was a ridiculous.
- 19:15SPEAKER_01: He only had 11 touches a game and he averaged 18 points a game.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: So the guy was super productive.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: And you know, uh uh last year alone, he had two over 200 fantasy points in 11, you know, uh in 11 games.
- 19:29SPEAKER_01: So the guy was super, super efficient.
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: If you had him, you knew he blew up for like 20, 30 points in several weeks.
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: His problem was durability.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: So I think if he and he packed on about 20 pounds in the off-season, so hopefully, yes, he's he might lose a step, but hopefully that leads to him being a little bit heavier and absorbing a little bit more impact.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: Um, and and a freak like him, I don't know if he's even gonna lose a step with 20 20 pounds heavier.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: Um so at the number 10 spot, I have James Cook.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Uh similar to Rashad White, he kind of flew under the radar last year, but did rack up over 1,500 total yards.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: I think he's gonna be more involved as a pass catcher with the departure of Stefan Diggs and Gabe Davis.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: Uh, the only thing that I'm somewhat concerned with is him finding the end zone.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: But I do see that increasing this year again because Stefan Diggs isn't gonna be there.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: And of course, there's no doubt that Josh Allen's gonna get a lot of those goal line runs, but I still see that number.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: He had six touchdowns last year.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: He had four rushing scores and two passing touchdowns.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: I think I I just see that number getting up to this might be this might be a little off, but I think he's gonna get 10 to 12 touchdowns.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: I I could easily see him doubling uh his touchdowns this year.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, half of them would at least be uh receiving touchdowns, too, if he does that, you know.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: So um I'll save some stuff for him, obviously, uh, because for my number 10, I actually have a guy you're bullish on.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: You hit him at three.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: I had Bijan Robinson at 10.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: Um, I think the Santa Atlanta O-line is definitely suspect.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: They should have hit up that O-line with the number seventh overall pick or the eighth, whichever one they had.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: They chose to go with a quarterback, which they signed a big one in offseason.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: So obviously, still ahead of scratch and move.
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: They could have got a starred tackle or guard, which they strongly needed.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: And for me, they will be running the ball a lot, yes, but will it always be productive?
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: Uh, I don't know.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: And for that average draft position or ADP, I just don't like Bijan's uh you know, result for me.
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: So that's why I have them drop so low, but I still have them in my top ten.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: Um Now for 11, I've got Isaiah Pacheco.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Um this is another guy I doubted last year.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: For the for the last my the last three guys I mentioned Rashad White, James Cook, and Isaiah Pacheco.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: I doubted all three of them last year, and all three of them shoved it down my throat.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: Um with nearly 1200 total yards, he took a big step forward, and I see that number continuing to rise as he gets more comfortable in his role in one of the best teams in the league.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: So, you know, again, these guys that are overlooked.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: Um all three of these guys are are good pass catchers, they're good running backs, and I am not going to doubt them anymore.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: Isaiah Pacheco, he runs hard, he's hungry, and he's on the best team in the NFL.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: Sign me up just outside of my top 10 at the 11th spot.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: I like Pacheco, definitely like him.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: Um for my number 11, however, I have uh Rashad White, which is not only a couple spots down from you.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: Obviously, we're gonna be very, very close there.
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: Um, I love Rashad White.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: He had 19 touches a game last year, almost 20.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: Extremely um great runner, uh strong uh pass catcher out of the backfield.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: So I think he's gonna replicate that.
- 23:30SPEAKER_01: And Tampa Bay did address their O-line in the offseason.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: They got a star, uh they got a rookie center who's an absolute mauler, and then they got a uh free agent guard.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: So they should be in a good position.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: So I expect that to replicate for a better year for uh with Shab White.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: Now at number 12, I have Travis Etienne.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: Uh, as you mentioned earlier, um rushed for over a thousand yards and heavily involved in the passing game, too.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: There haven't been any significant changes in Jacksonville aside from improving their line.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: So I expect that production to continue.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: Steady volume, a solid offense.
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: He could easily finish inside the top 10 or even the top five.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: But right now, I got him at the 12th spot.
- 24:24SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: Uh big fan of him.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: Obviously, I got him higher.
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: Uh great player, of course.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: Uh, my number 12, though, is a player that is gonna ask for a change of scenery and a new contract.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: And boy, did he get it.
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: Uh, not only that, he got one of the best teams in the league, uh, Mr.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: Joe Mixon.
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: He got put over there in uh Houston, right?
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: So if you look at his uh touches last year, 18 touches a game, he was averaging 17 points a game.
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: So the guy was getting some work.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: Um, and that's in a struggling Cincinnati team that Joe Burrow was not uh healthy in second half of the season.
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: And uh Joe Mixon still putting in work.
- 25:02SPEAKER_01: I mean, the guy had almost 300 points for the season in PPR leagues, so I expect that to be uh replicated because now not only does he feel valued, but he's the number one guy uncontested on that running back rotation, and he's gonna be on a high score and jugging out of an offense, so it always leads to really good production.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: Um since he had their issues last year, but now he's on a rock solid offense, and and as I've been saying repeatedly, I think that being on a good solid offense like that will only help.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: Now at 13, I got one that I think most people are gonna kind of squint and look at the screen like, what are you talking about?
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: But I love him and I am biased, but I'm gonna tell you exactly why I have James Connor at the 13th spot.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: Connor was rock solid last year.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: He had some really impressive games, he had a couple games with two touchdowns, and with Kyler Murray back at full health and a better overall offense, I expect him to continue getting that same volume that he had last year.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: The only thing that worries me, which is I know probably the biggest concern for you, is he's very injury prone.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: It's basically every season you have to factor that in to drafting James Conner, is that you're not gonna get a full season out of him.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: So I totally understand why he wouldn't fall into your top 10, top 15, or even top 20, but for me, he's at the 13th spot.
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and that's definitely why he's outside of my list because you don't know if you're gonna get them the first half of the year or the second half, and to me, they're just as important.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: The first half matters for seeding and matchups in the playoffs, and the second half matches uh matters for you know winning when you're already down some players, so he's just not somebody I could count on, and for that ADP, I rather, you know, watch paint dry.
- 27:07SPEAKER_01: So sorry, James Connor, but he kissed my grits.
- 27:11SPEAKER_01: And I'll say that in real life.
- 27:13SPEAKER_01: Just kidding.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: Who do you have?
- 27:15SPEAKER_00: Who do you have at 13?
- 27:17SPEAKER_01: I have Mr.
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: Air Force Ones himself, Isaiah Pacheco, uh, Mr.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: Flatfoot running like he has space boots on because he just runs so hard, man.
- 27:28SPEAKER_01: He's gonna get his looks, he's uncontested.
- 27:31SPEAKER_01: They're not even gonna, they don't even have a running back on that roster that's anywhere close to being his skill set or production.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: So I expect another strong year, similar offense, uh high scoring offense.
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: So he's just gonna be the uncontested um guy, and he's gonna put up pretty good points.
- 27:48SPEAKER_01: I mean, uh, what are we looking at last year?
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: 17 points a game, and he only had 250 touches, so I expect that number to go up to at least 300.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he proved he's the guy there, and um, you know, he he doesn't have to compete as much, so I expect a nice full season out of him.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: At 14, just to echo what you said a couple picks ago, I have Joe Mixon.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: He seems like a perfect addition to the Houston Texans.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Their offensive line and their run game are what hindered them most last year.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: I mean, we all saw what CJ Stroud could do with the pass game, and those receivers are incredible, and now they got Stefan Diggs, but they were lacking nothing against Damion Pierce because the line was so horrible, but they improved their line and they've got Joe Mixon.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: So I think you know, an improvement in both categories.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: And Mixon is an established veteran, he's not, you know, at the uh prime of his career, maybe, but you never know when you have an offense like this, how much that can open up the opportunities.
- 29:00SPEAKER_00: So I expect him to deliver another consistent and incredible season.
- 29:09SPEAKER_01: Okay, uh for my number 14, um, that's the one we're on, right?
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: Yes, I have Mr.
- 29:17SPEAKER_01: James Cook.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: Obviously, a lot of the reasons you mentioned earlier, he's gonna get a lot of uh looks.
- 29:23SPEAKER_01: I was actually watching a preseason game yesterday for Buffalo, and man, they were just tossing a lot of screens.
- 29:29SPEAKER_01: They ran a lot of misdirections and play actions to Cook, and he just seems to be a big focal part of that offense, and he got a lot of looks second half of the season last year.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: So I expect him to build upon that and keep running that his way.
- 29:42SPEAKER_01: So um, but obviously, Josh Allen's gonna take a lot of those touchdowns, so I have him lower than most people, so that's why I have him so low.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that does still concern me slightly.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: Um that's why I kept moving him.
- 29:57SPEAKER_00: Um at 15, I've got Alvin Kamara.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: I think Kamara's best days are behind him, but I mean, what's that saying?
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: You know, you're talking about the guy that scored five touchdowns in a single game.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: So, you know, maybe that's an obvious statement, but to me, it just seems like he's not quite the same guy.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: He'll still have some monster games, and it wouldn't surprise me if he racked up over 1,500 total yards.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: I just don't see it happening.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: He does have good rapport with Derek Carr, uh, but you know, Carr was inconsistent and injured last year.
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: There's just a few factors working against him, and it's most it's not even really on Alvin Kamara, it's mostly his team, and he does have some injury history.
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: So I'm just a little there's just a few things, a few question marks that raise concerns for me, and that's why he just rounds out the 15 spot for me.
- 30:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 30:53SPEAKER_01: Um, I know that off uh I hear that on Kamara.
- 30:57SPEAKER_01: I got him very, very close.
- 30:59SPEAKER_01: Um, I actually had a player that I moved a little bit higher on the list than him for my number 15, and that's uh Josh Jacobs.
- 31:08SPEAKER_01: I know a lot of people see that log jam of running backs, and they think, hey, what what the hell's going on over there?
- 31:14SPEAKER_01: I I think that it's pretty uh uh clear what's gonna go on over there.
- 31:17SPEAKER_01: Jacobs is the guy.
- 31:18SPEAKER_01: AJ Dillon proved last year he can't handle that workload.
- 31:22SPEAKER_01: He was slow, inefficient, he was out of shape, like he wasn't even like the guy he needed to.
- 31:27SPEAKER_01: Marshawn Lloyd was drafted.
- 31:29SPEAKER_01: He will show he could support him and give him a breather, I think.
- 31:34SPEAKER_01: But ultimately, I think it's Josh Jacobs' role to win.
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: Um, and they're he's gonna get some uh he's gonna get Aaron Jones like numbers, and he's a lot more durable than Aaron Jones.
- 31:45SPEAKER_01: So the problem with Aaron Jones last year, if anybody had him, was he couldn't stay on the field.
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: But when he was there, the guy was balling.
- 31:52SPEAKER_01: And the problem with Green Bay last year, too, was they split the workload too much.
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: So I like Josh Jacobs to come there and and get his 20 touches a game and and give me a whole lot of value for my ADP.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm just gonna piggyback on what you just said because at the 16th spot for me is Josh Jacobs.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: Um I think him moving to the Packers sounds really promising.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: I I don't expect to see the stats we got from 2022, but I'd certainly expect it to be better than last year.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: Uh, as I've said, you know, 15 times just in the last 20 minutes, um, a strong offense will create more opportunities and more opportunities to score touchdowns.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: Josh Jacobs is a great football player, he is more durable than Aaron Jones.
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: And even when Aaron Jones was on the field last year, he never really seemed like 100%.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: He had, of course, at the beginning of the season one of the best games we've ever seen.
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: But um, the rest of the season, it was all about him getting back to full health, and he never really seemed to get there.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: And yeah, there's there was never really any other threat on the Packers run game.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: So um Josh Jacobs is gonna take that that uh full-time role and probably go nuts.
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so number 16, I have a guy that you know all too well.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: He is Mr.
- 33:18SPEAKER_01: Najee Harris, he plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: He is on the final year of his contract, they declined his fifth-year option at Pittsburgh.
- 33:27SPEAKER_01: You know that the Steeler organization doesn't pay their running backs, actually guy by the name of Le'Veon.
- 33:32SPEAKER_01: Um, so he's gonna definitely get his wheels ran to the ground, and Najee wants to get paid.
- 33:38SPEAKER_01: And so he has a uh really good offensive coordinator in Arthur Smith.
- 33:43SPEAKER_01: You guys may have known his work with the great late to with the great uh Derek Henry, right?
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: He's had some amazing years under Arthur Smith.
- 33:51SPEAKER_01: That's how he became the head coach for the Falcons for a one and done year, um, or two years, not sure how many, but who cares?
- 33:58SPEAKER_01: Got fired already.
- 33:59SPEAKER_01: But now he's back over here, and and I think that's gonna be great for him.
- 34:03SPEAKER_01: So that's why I have him coming up.
- 34:06SPEAKER_01: And at the end of the day, Jalen Warren will eat into it, but Najee Harris will be the guy.
- 34:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and uh, I'm gonna touch on that a little bit because I actually don't have Najee um in my top 20 rankings, but I love that you do as a Steelers fan.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: Arthur Smith is a great addition.
- 34:22SPEAKER_00: Uh, Matt Canada was horrible for the team.
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: You know, we were waiting for like two years for them to fire Matt Canada, and it didn't happen until the end of last year.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: Now, you can't blame the woes we saw last year entirely on Matt Canada because um, you know, the the Steelers offense just just looked like all around, looked like they were just having a real hard time getting in sync.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: But we do have a new offensive coordinator, and Najee's gonna be hungry.
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: You know, he's gotta prove himself this year.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: Jalen Warren is gonna eat into his touches, but like they they took almost a 50-50 uh share of the carries.
- 35:02SPEAKER_00: It was pretty much an even split, but Najee is still the number one technically, and like you were just saying, he's out to prove something this year, he kind of has to prove something this year.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: So I expect both of them, Najee and Jalen Moran, to have a much better season than they did last year.
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: Now, at the 17th spot for me, this might be a little bit bold, but I know you'll understand why, and I think most people will.
- 35:32SPEAKER_00: I have Zach Moss.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: He's now the man in Cincinnati.
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: Uh, he looked amazing on the Colts until JB, uh until JT got back to full health.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: But here's the thing is, you know, there were a few weeks where Zach Moss was the number one running back.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: And, you know, it took JT uh a good bit of time to get back to full strength.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: So there were a few weeks where they were splitting carries, and you know, that that brought Zach Moss and JT's overall numbers way down.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: So now that JT's the guy in uh Indianapolis and that Zach Moss is the guy in Cincinnati, I see both of them having better years than they did last year.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: Now, Zach Moss, the you know, the reason since he brought him over is because they saw what he could do last year, they saw what he can do as the RB workhorse one.
- 36:21SPEAKER_00: And I don't see a great deal of competition from Chase Brown.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: I could be wrong.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: It's hard to say right now, but if Zach Moss is a three-down brat, uh three-down back, he could even sneak into the top 10.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: It wouldn't surprise me based on what we saw him do last year.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: And I think Cincy is a better team than Indianapolis without Anthony Richardson.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: The the addition of Anthony Richardson will make huge changes for JT.
- 36:44SPEAKER_00: But the things that Zach Moss overcame last year were incredible, and I see him continuing to move forward.
- 36:51SPEAKER_00: Don't sleep on Moss, grab him in the mid to late rounds.
- 36:55SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 36:56SPEAKER_01: And I it it it it appeals to me, or uh it makes me think that you had some fantasies with the third three down brat, something like that.
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: You know, I'm just what did I what did I say?
- 37:08SPEAKER_01: You said three down brat, brat three down.
- 37:12SPEAKER_01: You're trying to say back.
- 37:13SPEAKER_01: It's all right, I'm just giving you giving you shit.
- 37:16SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, and it's because of your compelling argument, sir, that I actually brought up Zach Moss back up because I was back like offseason, I was very high on Zach Moss.
- 37:26SPEAKER_01: I dropped him down because of the reports of Chase Brown.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: Uh uh yeah, Chase Brown, which is the the rookie from last year, so now he's a sophomore.
- 37:35SPEAKER_01: But uh, you know, watching some more training camp than Zach Moss, he just that guy is just so big and solid, you don't want to tackle him.
- 37:42SPEAKER_01: That's why he's so successful.
- 37:43SPEAKER_01: The guy's, you know, uh he's he's stocky, he's like 5'10, 220 pounds, you know.
- 37:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's gonna run right through you.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: All right, for my number 17th pick, I have Mr.
- 37:56SPEAKER_01: Alvin Kamara.
- 37:57SPEAKER_01: I know you had him a couple spots up, so we're still very similar on rankings, and that's gonna be we mentioned it's gonna be pretty common on the first top 20, right?
- 38:05SPEAKER_01: These are the best guys.
- 38:07SPEAKER_01: Um, but I definitely a big fan of Kamara.
- 38:10SPEAKER_01: Um, and uh I think obviously the offense hasn't changed much, so the only worry for me is that the offense the O-line did get a little bit better, but the you know offense is gonna be pretty predictable.
- 38:22SPEAKER_01: So last year, if you watched it, he couldn't get any yardage on the runs in between the tackles, but all his all his all his points were off dump offs, like little uh one or two yards ins or outs or screens, and it was just a dink and dunk type of offense, and it just was really boring to watch.
- 38:39SPEAKER_01: So, do I think he's gonna be a game winner?
- 38:42SPEAKER_01: No, but he's gonna be a solid RB2, RB3, most likely in this pick, RB3.
- 38:46SPEAKER_01: And if you're if he's your second best running back, then you haven't drafted enough running backs by the time you hit this round.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: Now keep in mind, guys, we're always talking PPR in a standard league.
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: Kamara would probably fall outside of my top 20.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, definitely.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: We don't even talk standard guys.
- 39:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you gotta remember we're we're always talking PPR.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: That's that's why Kamara is a PPR monster because he gets those little dump offs.
- 39:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, if you like standard stats, guys.
- 39:15SPEAKER_01: Sorry, we're not the ones.
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: We don't I don't play standard leagues, period.
- 39:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we're not gonna help you.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: I'm in one.
- 39:22SPEAKER_00: So boring.
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: Um now for 18.
- 39:28SPEAKER_00: I've got a guy that you had much higher, but just hear me out.
- 39:33SPEAKER_00: Devon Achan.
- 39:35SPEAKER_00: It's hard for me to rank him in the top 10.
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: Now it's it's just hard to gauge what the Dolphins will do with their running backs this year.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: Uh I don't want to assume anything, but let's just say A Chan is comparable in regards to production.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: I I seriously doubt he can keep up with that kind of production, but let's just assume he does, and he is the guy.
- 40:02SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, lights out, game over, he's in a top five.
- 40:07SPEAKER_00: But I can't assume that he's gonna be the guy there.
- 40:10SPEAKER_00: Mostard had another career season.
- 40:13SPEAKER_00: And if if he's gonna be just as involved as he was last year or even close to it, and these guys are splitting carries, as amazing as Achan is when he gets the ball, it's gonna be really hard for him to break into that top 10.
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: Um yes, he's amazing when he gets the ball, and and yes, he's like lightning fast.
- 40:36SPEAKER_00: And obviously, Mostert is probably not gonna, I don't want to say obviously, he's probably not gonna live up to the same season he had last year.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: It's it's the amount of touchdowns he scored is obscene.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: So I I doubt that Mostert is going to be as productive, and I doubt that Achan is gonna be as productive when he gets the ball.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: But if it's a 50-50 split, then it's hard for me to rank either one of those guys higher.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: And I also have some concerns about his durability.
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: You know, he only played in 11 games last year because he was injured, and yeah, he put on 20 pounds, he's a bigger dude, but um, that is still on my mind that he's gonna be splitting carries, and there's a possibility he gets injured.
- 41:20SPEAKER_00: But let's just say he plays a full season and he's the go-to guy, then look out because he was three yards shy of a thousand total yards, and he only played in 11 games, and he also had 11 touchdowns.
- 41:32SPEAKER_00: Freakish production when he's healthy, he's a monster.
- 41:36SPEAKER_00: But those two concerns about him splitting carries and his durability are why I have him at the 18 spot.
- 41:44SPEAKER_01: That's fair enough.
- 41:46SPEAKER_00: Who do you have at 18?
- 41:48SPEAKER_01: Uh, for my number 18, I have a guy that um showed flashes of just being a dominant force, but he just hasn't sustained it because of injuries.
- 41:58SPEAKER_01: Uh Kenneth Walker, right, for Seattle.
- 42:01SPEAKER_01: He has he has some big blow-up games in the beginning, and you know, he just kind of slows down a little bit.
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: He played 15 games last year, so he only missed two.
- 42:09SPEAKER_01: Um, and he's only averaging 16 touches a game, but uh at overall for the season, he's always been pretty uh pretty solid.
- 42:18SPEAKER_01: So the last two seasons, of course, uh he's only been in the league.
- 42:21SPEAKER_01: Uh this is his third year.
- 42:23SPEAKER_01: Um, definitely somebody that you want on your squad if he's your RB2.
- 42:27SPEAKER_01: RB3, great, great position to grab him, uh, especially because he's available around the late third, fourth, fifth round, depending on what kind of draft you're doing.
- 42:37SPEAKER_01: We do 12-man PPR, that's ours.
- 42:40SPEAKER_01: But uh very big fan of him as far as like you know, production-wise, but you know, obviously he's not like gonna be a workhorse by any means, so don't expect him to do that.
- 42:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and um I'm just gonna piggyback on what you said because at number 19, I've got Kenneth Walker.
- 43:01SPEAKER_00: Um, he passed a thousand total yards in his first two NFL seasons, and he is the lead back in Seattle.
- 43:09SPEAKER_00: So, although he's not the most exciting running back, he's a solid player that will get plenty of volume.
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: I was a little bit worried about Charbonnet last year, and he didn't really do anything.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: He might eat into his workload a little bit as he gets more comfortable with the offense, but but I don't see it happening this year.
- 43:26SPEAKER_00: So, Kenneth Walker, he's probably gonna repeat the performances he had the last two years, which will be a solid option as your RB2 or your flex, and um that's why I have him at 19.
- 43:42SPEAKER_01: For my number 19, is a guy that you probably don't have in your top 20.
- 43:47SPEAKER_01: Maybe not many people do, but he's gonna be the focal point on offense for his team, and that's gonna be Ramondre Stevenson, uh New England Patriots.
- 43:55SPEAKER_01: He's gonna definitely uh get a good workload if he can stay healthy.
- 43:58SPEAKER_01: He only played 12 games last.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: Year, but in 12 games, uh, he already got close to 200 touches in the season.
- 44:06SPEAKER_01: So the guy was averaging 16 touches a game.
- 44:09SPEAKER_01: So he's not even like he wasn't even averaging an extravagant amount of touches, and he was just super efficient.
- 44:15SPEAKER_01: That means almost every target he got, he caught.
- 44:18SPEAKER_01: So I mean the guy was just on fire.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: Um, and I just expect that to continue now with a you know new offense, new team, new culture, because maybe they're more of a positive type of culture now with Belichick gone.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I um I understand your reasoning for putting him there.
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: Uh he's just just uh a little farther down my rankings, just fell outside the top 20.
- 44:45SPEAKER_00: But um I remember the hype uh all over him going into last season, and you know, he didn't live up to the hype, not even a little bit, but he is a good football player.
- 44:57SPEAKER_00: He's had some I wouldn't I don't even want to say flashes of greatness because he's had some games that were just great.
- 45:03SPEAKER_00: He's a great football player, he is the focal point of that offense.
- 45:06SPEAKER_00: They're gonna be a team that runs the ball a lot.
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: So um I totally see why you have him in your top 20.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: Now, rounding out my top 20, I have David Montgomery.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: Although I believe uh he's not gonna be, you know, getting the same workload as he got last year, he's still gonna be involved in the Lions offense.
- 45:30SPEAKER_00: And I think we're gonna see a lot of those goal line carries still go to Montgomery.
- 45:35SPEAKER_00: You know, he's proven what he can do um on two different teams, and the Lions are a great team that if they get up by two scores and they want to rest Jameer Gibbs, they're gonna put Montgomery out there a little bit more.
- 45:47SPEAKER_00: And he does have uh, you know, a history of injuries, but if he's not gonna be like a workhorse running back and gets more rest, then that could actually help him, you know, last a full season.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: And um, again, I know we're gonna see a decline compared to last season, but he will be involved.
- 46:06SPEAKER_00: Uh the things he did at the beginning of last season were it was surprising everybody.
- 46:13SPEAKER_00: So if he can live up to that even a little bit and get close to the same numbers, um, he will get plenty of work and more than enough to be a flex play.
- 46:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely like Montgomery.
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: Um, he's somebody that I definitely uh struggle with in and out of my lineup because I've been so bullish, especially on him last year.
- 46:33SPEAKER_01: He was like my sleeper of the pick, like my sleeper pick last year.
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: I was bullish on it.
- 46:38SPEAKER_01: I was 100% right on him.
- 46:40SPEAKER_01: He was just amazing, um, better than I even expected.
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: Uh, but he managed to fall out just because uh I am so worried about Gibbs from uh Gibbs cut into that workload.
- 46:50SPEAKER_01: I actually had um Zamir White jump into that 20th spot um because of that.
- 46:57SPEAKER_01: I watched the Raiders game yesterday as well, got to see that first team offense go, and I really like how Zamir Gibbs really took off where he left off.
- 47:05SPEAKER_01: And near the second half of the season, Zamir Zamir Gibbs, Zamir Gibbs, Zamir White.
- 47:11SPEAKER_01: I saw Zamir White uh for the Raiders come out, and he was just like dominant, he was decisive with the ball, he was getting yards, and he was just getting really good points.
- 47:20SPEAKER_01: And although he was healthy all season, uh people were concerned about his knees because he injured them in college.
- 47:26SPEAKER_01: So for him to come back, I think he was drafted out of Alabama uh two years ago, and the problem was that people were scared about his injury history.
- 47:33SPEAKER_01: So he's kind of showing why he was um drafted to begin with, and he's he's really gonna take that workload uh seriously in the black and silver because that's that's part of their identity.
- 47:45SPEAKER_01: So I think he's gonna be a really nice sleeper pick this year, and that's why he's squeezing to my top 20.
- 47:51SPEAKER_01: So I would recommend if anybody's on the fringe looking for a sleeper, uh, that's your guy, Zamir White, Las Vegas Raiders.
- 47:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and you know what you just said, put him on my radar now.
- 48:03SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna make a note of that because take him out, take him out.
- 48:06SPEAKER_01: He's out of delete, delete right at the end of the day.
- 48:08SPEAKER_01: He's out of my top 20.
- 48:09SPEAKER_01: It's dumb.
- 48:10SPEAKER_01: I'm bringing up James Connor, my top 20 now.
- 48:13SPEAKER_01: I know you're not doing that.
- 48:16SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 48:16SPEAKER_00: He's the guy there, like you said, Zamir White, he's the guy there.
- 48:19SPEAKER_00: He's young and he is healthy, and now he's the guy.
- 48:22SPEAKER_00: So that's a good call.
- 48:23SPEAKER_01: The guy, the guy.
- 48:24SPEAKER_01: Nah, fuck that.
- 48:25SPEAKER_01: Erase that shit.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: It's already written down, and we have it recorded.
- 48:32SPEAKER_01: Damn it, I'm too good.
- 48:35SPEAKER_00: I appreciate the advice because I, you know, you're you're the one that got me uh gunning for Montgomery last year, and it worked, and it worked, you know.
- 48:43SPEAKER_00: He actually won me one of my leagues.
- 48:45SPEAKER_01: Bro, Zenir, why you get him in like the the eighth, ninth round, and he's so good.
- 48:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I could be a nice sleeper.
- 48:52SPEAKER_00: Nice sleeper, bro.
- 48:53SPEAKER_01: He's the ultimate, he's he's last year's Montgomery, you know, like that's just they're similar style too.
- 48:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they are hard nose.
