- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey, Roger Friedman, the Great Light Back Studios. Hey, we'll
- 0:12Speaker 2: take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 0:16Speaker 2: ten is the number. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave,
- 0:19Speaker 2: how you doing. Good morning, Mark.
- 0:22Speaker 3: I'm doing very well.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Mark.
- 0:24Speaker 4: I was watching President Trump's press conference yesterday and the
- 0:28Speaker 4: idea of a two hundred and fifty dollars bill featuring
- 0:30Speaker 4: his image was raised. Obviously, if this was to happen,
- 0:35Speaker 4: they would have to change the law and to make
- 0:38Speaker 4: it legal tender. But I'm wondering, why did they discuss
- 0:41Speaker 4: two hundred and fifty dollars?
- 0:43Speaker 2: Isn't that Oh? Because it's the two d and fifty
- 0:47Speaker 2: two hundred and fiftieth birthday of America. Oh, I understand.
- 0:51Speaker 2: It would be like a limited edition, special commemorative bill
- 0:55Speaker 2: just this year that put it out. And by the way,
- 0:57Speaker 2: if you can get one, get one, because it may
- 0:59Speaker 2: be worth a fortune. You know those rare bills coins
- 1:01Speaker 2: end up being worth a fortune years later. But it's
- 1:04Speaker 2: to celebrate the two hundred and fiftieth birthday. Let's go
- 1:07Speaker 2: to Chris in Manhattan. Chris, how you doing?
- 1:10Speaker 5: Good morning, Mark. I'm not being a panic in this time.
- 1:12Speaker 2: He's always a panic, and he's always panicking.
- 1:15Speaker 5: That's this time. Listen. Who makes up the rules for
- 1:18Speaker 5: the bus lanes and the bike lanes and all that stuff.
- 1:21Speaker 5: I was driving on twentieth on Madison Avenue in the
- 1:24Speaker 5: twenties and thirties. It was one lane. Last night, they
- 1:28Speaker 5: have these two enormous bus lanes that are totally being
- 1:31Speaker 5: unused at like nine o'clock at night, and the other
- 1:33Speaker 5: side is parking. It's one lane going up Madison Avenue.
- 1:37Speaker 5: And they have all these side streets, these small side
- 1:39Speaker 5: streets with bike lanes on them. Nobody really pays attention
- 1:42Speaker 5: to it, but it's an inconvenience because they put up
- 1:44Speaker 5: these stupid barriers and there are no bikes on them.
- 1:47Speaker 2: It's done by politicians who don't know what the hell
- 1:49Speaker 2: they're doing. What they do is they take any street
- 1:51Speaker 2: four lanes, put in bike lanes, a scooter lanes, bus lane.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Next thing you know, it's only one lane for traffic.
- 1:58Speaker 2: And then after a while they go, look at the congestion.
- 2:00Speaker 2: We must have congestion pricing to reduce the congestion.
- 2:03Speaker 5: And there was there was traffic. Last night, like nine thirty,
- 2:05Speaker 5: ten o'clock, there was traffic on Madison Avenue and it
- 2:08Speaker 5: was because it was all one lane. There wasn't an
- 2:10Speaker 5: accident or anything. No, how did the trucks do it
- 2:13Speaker 5: during the day, Like if there are trucks there, you
- 2:15Speaker 5: can't go on the bus lane. Trucks make deliveries in Manhattan.
- 2:18Speaker 5: What happens on Madison Avenue when it's only one lane.
- 2:22Speaker 2: That's what they do, And that's why they have congestion pricing,
- 2:24Speaker 2: because they create They created the congestion. Get rid of
- 2:27Speaker 2: the bike lanes, the bus lanes, get rid of all
- 2:29Speaker 2: of that.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Maybe never have so many been so inconvenienced for the
- 2:33Speaker 5: benefit of so few. I mean all the bicycle lanes
- 2:35Speaker 5: or deliveries for you they have hamburgers.
- 2:37Speaker 2: And stuff exactly. That's the that's the problem. Some of
- 2:40Speaker 2: the streets have two bus lanes, you only need one
- 2:42Speaker 2: stop it with all of that stuff. Get rid of
- 2:45Speaker 2: all of that you don't need. You know, sixth Avenue
- 2:48Speaker 2: used to be Fifth Avenue, used to be four or
- 2:50Speaker 2: five lanes. Now it's one lane, two lanes. Absolutely ridiculous.
- 2:54Speaker 2: That's why you got congestion pricing. Should not allow politicians
- 2:57Speaker 2: to ever ever do stuff like this. They don't know
- 3:00Speaker 2: what the hell they're doing. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 3:04Speaker 2: how you doing? Good morning? Mark As Mike.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I have to give the Democrats like Elizabeth Warren credit.
- 3:11Speaker 1: They know how to stick take a story and stick
- 3:14Speaker 1: with it. This Graham Plattner story is a perfect contrast
- 3:18Speaker 1: with the with the Spencer Pratt story in La Democrats.
- 3:24Speaker 1: This guy can do no wrong. The guy from Maine,
- 3:27Speaker 1: on the other hand, you ask a Republican found Spencer
- 3:30Speaker 1: Pratt and they start to clutch their pearls. Well he's
- 3:33Speaker 1: not really experienced. Well he could be, and there's all
- 3:36Speaker 1: this equivocation the Democrats.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Nope, there's nothing wrong.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Nazi signal. No, it's not a Nazi signal.
- 3:41Speaker 2: What are your creat Jewish guys.
- 3:44Speaker 1: And Bernie Sanders are supporting him.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Don't be too shocked. If Plattner is gone by Monday,
- 3:48Speaker 2: don't be too surprised. He could be. You're right, but
- 3:52Speaker 2: there's more coming.
- 3:53Speaker 1: And he lasted this long as remarkable.
- 3:55Speaker 2: There's more common and Republicans have a lot more about him.
- 3:58Speaker 2: They haven't released yet, but Democrats they're starting to get
- 4:00Speaker 2: worried about that so they may replace it. I'm sure
- 4:03Speaker 2: you're right. Yeah, they got the main governor who'd be
- 4:06Speaker 2: the backup candidate who's pretty good. But well, thanks for calling.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Let's go to Rich and Myrtle Beach Rich.
- 4:11Speaker 3: How you doing, Hey, thanks Mark. That guy had it
- 4:14Speaker 3: slightly wrong. The Democrats sure know how to get rid
- 4:16Speaker 3: of somebody. When they want to get rid of somebody,
- 4:18Speaker 3: it's not a matter of stick with a story. They
- 4:20Speaker 3: put their target on you. You're totally done. You know, Hey,
- 4:23Speaker 3: this John Bolton's got to go to jail. At least
- 4:25Speaker 3: that way, somebody like in Trump's administration will actually put
- 4:29Speaker 3: somebody in jail. Beyond balls. But it's funny because John
- 4:32Speaker 3: Bolton is hated by both sides so much as no
- 4:34Speaker 3: way this guy was getting out of this in the
- 4:36Speaker 3: first place. He's flip flopped so many times. Both sides
- 4:39Speaker 3: hate him. And the last point is Joe Biden. This,
- 4:42Speaker 3: this doctorate of education can't even write a book and
- 4:45Speaker 3: put some sentences together to make anything.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Well, doctor of education, she's a teacher, but she was
- 4:49Speaker 2: a teacher at Delaware Community College. Imagine your husband's vice
- 4:53Speaker 2: president of the United States and that's the best job you
- 4:55Speaker 2: can get Delaware Community College.
- 4:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:58Speaker 3: I mean my wife was a New City school teacher
- 5:00Speaker 3: for twenty six and a half years and they had
- 5:02Speaker 3: to do a fantastic job.
- 5:04Speaker 2: And she could write a better book anybody could. But well,
- 5:07Speaker 2: thanks for calling. Yeah, it's a platner, an absolute mess.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Republicans got all kinds of dirt on them. Don't be
- 5:13Speaker 2: shocked if that comes out pretty soon. Let's go to
- 5:15Speaker 2: Barbara and Long Island. Barbara, how you doing. Wait a minute, Barbara,
- 5:21Speaker 2: are you there?
- 5:22Speaker 6: Yes?
- 5:22Speaker 3: I am.
- 5:23Speaker 6: Can you hear me?
- 5:24Speaker 3: Now?
- 5:24Speaker 2: I can hear you?
- 5:24Speaker 6: Go ahead, Okay, great. I know this is a little
- 5:27Speaker 6: bit of all news, But I'm still concerned about those
- 5:31Speaker 6: people that were going down into the manholes. Yeah, I
- 5:36Speaker 6: mean to me, I think I could be investigated a
- 5:39Speaker 6: little bit more. I mean, isn't it a concern that
- 5:41Speaker 6: maybe they're down there putting Oh.
- 5:45Speaker 2: No, no, we know why they're down there. They're thieves,
- 5:47Speaker 2: they believe it or not. If you go through the sewers,
- 5:49Speaker 2: people lose things, they fall down the grid. If you
- 5:52Speaker 2: go look down there and look, you'll find jewelry, you'll
- 5:54Speaker 2: find money, you'll.
- 5:56Speaker 6: Find I'm a little concerned about possible explosive this is
- 6:00Speaker 6: some kind of terrorism.
- 6:01Speaker 2: And no, no, no, no, they're all yeah, they're all
- 6:03Speaker 2: just crummy little It's probably the lowest job in thief
- 6:06Speaker 2: world to be the sewer.
- 6:09Speaker 6: I hope you're correct.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, they got it. And actually they're watching
- 6:13Speaker 2: for them now they stopped us. It's it's quite an operation.
- 6:16Speaker 2: They wear those ed Norton you know, rubber boots and
- 6:19Speaker 2: rubber coveralls, and we get that ed Norton sewer clothes.
- 6:24Speaker 2: They go down there, five or six of them. They
- 6:27Speaker 2: go through the tunnels. They pick up everything they can, jewelry, watches, money,
- 6:31Speaker 2: all sorts of stuff. Phones, and then they climb back
- 6:35Speaker 2: up and there's a car waiting for him. They take
- 6:36Speaker 2: off all the dirty, filthy clothes, throw them in the
- 6:38Speaker 2: trunk and the car takes them away. Hey, when we
- 6:41Speaker 2: come back. Roger Friedman, the Great Entertainment Reporter, we'll talk
- 6:44Speaker 2: to him next on seven to ten w R.
