- 0:00Speaker 1: M H. Welcome to the Favorite podcast. Chad Milman of
- 0:14Speaker 1: the Action Network. It is Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving,
- 0:21Speaker 1: two days after the greatest NFL game in the history
- 0:24Speaker 1: of Monday Night football, that changed the face of betting forever,
- 0:29Speaker 1: that turned bookmakers into crying little children. And today, as
- 0:38Speaker 1: I do every Wednesday, I have from the Orleans and
- 0:44Speaker 1: all the Boyd gaming books throughout the country, bookmaker to
- 0:52Speaker 1: the world, Bob Scucci, Ye, the day after, Scooch. We're
- 1:14Speaker 1: recording this on Tuesday night. Are you feeling after the
- 1:20Speaker 1: game last night, of which I have many things to say?
- 1:24Speaker 1: Are you feeling as triumphant as your intro music? Are
- 1:29Speaker 1: you feeling buoyed by your intro music? Are you feeling
- 1:34Speaker 1: unworthy of your intro music? This is the game we're playing,
- 1:38Speaker 1: A B or C. I always feel try a triumphant.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I always feel triumphant. Is it because of the game
- 1:49Speaker 1: or is it just because you're Scooch? No, it's because
- 1:51Speaker 1: of the music. Yeah, it is pretty good. Let's talk
- 1:57Speaker 1: about last night? Can we talk about Last Night? Sure?
- 2:00Speaker 1: In a non graphic Jim Belushi, Rob low Way, how
- 2:06Speaker 1: dated is that reference? Was that? The movie about Last Night? Yeah, yeah,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you went deep for that. It's a movie though, well
- 2:19Speaker 1: for me, Like, look, it's a mid eighties movie takes
- 2:24Speaker 1: place in Chicago, and um, I lived in Chicago, so like,
- 2:32Speaker 1: this was the life I wanted to live. I wanted
- 2:34Speaker 1: to go to mother's like on Rush Street and drink
- 2:37Speaker 1: my sorrows away and find a way to have to
- 2:41Speaker 1: me more, fall in love with me, and play softball
- 2:44Speaker 1: on the lake when I grew up. Yeah, yeah, it was,
- 2:53Speaker 1: you know, quite the ambition there. Listen, this isn't about
- 2:58Speaker 1: mocking me. This is about trolling you because the bookmakers.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I mean, look, last night was amazing. It was the
- 3:06Speaker 1: Rams Chiefs. It was Monday Night football. The total on
- 3:08Speaker 1: the game was sixty three. The Rams and Chiefs combined
- 3:12Speaker 1: for sixty nine points in the second half. The first
- 3:16Speaker 1: half total was thirty one. They scored thirty six, The
- 3:19Speaker 1: second half total thirty five. They scored sixty nine. The
- 3:22Speaker 1: total total sixty three. They scored a hundred and five.
- 3:26Speaker 1: The total on touchdowns was seven and a half. They
- 3:30Speaker 1: scored fourteen. The total on Jared Goff touchdowns was two
- 3:35Speaker 1: and a half. He had four. The total on Patrick
- 3:37Speaker 1: Mahomes was two and a half he had six um
- 3:42Speaker 1: scooch no bueno man, No, No, it was bad. It
- 3:50Speaker 1: was it was ugly and the game and the game
- 3:52Speaker 1: fell three, which is not good too. So but this
- 3:57Speaker 1: it just we've seen higher and higher total throughout the year.
- 4:02Speaker 1: We're seeing way more offense. We knew this was gonna
- 4:04Speaker 1: be a track meet just setting the total. But when
- 4:09Speaker 1: when teams start putting up a hundred points in a game,
- 4:12Speaker 1: you know, how high are we supposed to make these totals? Um?
- 4:15Speaker 1: I kind of I heard a little bit about it
- 4:17Speaker 1: in some of my meetings today. They're like, you know,
- 4:20Speaker 1: what were you guys thinking hanging sixty three games should
- 4:22Speaker 1: have been eighty three? I mean that those are arena
- 4:25Speaker 1: football numbers. Uh. You know, I was watching some tweets
- 4:29Speaker 1: come across last night and uh, it looked like, you know,
- 4:33Speaker 1: a seven on seven flag football kind of you know,
- 4:39Speaker 1: just every play just you know, touchdown. So I don't
- 4:42Speaker 1: know how you're supposed to handicap those in terms of
- 4:44Speaker 1: the totals. So what are you supposed to do? Like
- 4:48Speaker 1: you've got you've got Here's a question I was asked today.
- 4:52Speaker 1: As you know, I am the chief content officer for
- 4:56Speaker 1: the Action Network. We have an app, a free app
- 4:59Speaker 1: anybody can downloaded. You can go download it, get all
- 5:02Speaker 1: the content you want, get access to lines, totals, information,
- 5:06Speaker 1: everything you need is a better As part of my duties,
- 5:09Speaker 1: I go on many many radio shows around the country
- 5:11Speaker 1: every week. Today I was on a radio show in Houston,
- 5:14Speaker 1: one of my favorite shows, Okay and Um. The host
- 5:20Speaker 1: asked me, Uh, what if if there was a Super
- 5:24Speaker 1: Bowl between the Chiefs and the Rams, what do you
- 5:29Speaker 1: think the total would be? What? I hadn't thought of
- 5:33Speaker 1: the question as soon as he asked it. My first
- 5:36Speaker 1: instinct was seventy and based on just what the number
- 5:43Speaker 1: was for this game and whether or not there would
- 5:45Speaker 1: be a repeat performance. Uh, and you only made it
- 5:49Speaker 1: some touchdown higher than what it was yesterday. Do you
- 5:55Speaker 1: think I should have gone higher? I think so. You
- 5:58Speaker 1: want to take me hi? Uh? You would one? So
- 6:05Speaker 1: right now you're saying to me, this is crazy. You're
- 6:07Speaker 1: saying to me if the Rams and the Chiefs playing
- 6:10Speaker 1: the Super Bowl, you would set the line at what
- 6:15Speaker 1: seventy three? Well, dude, don't don't insult me for saying
- 6:23Speaker 1: seventy and then be like seventy three You can insult
- 6:28Speaker 1: me if you're like, I'm making it eighty three like
- 6:31Speaker 1: Big Tony and everybody else, so I have to work
- 6:33Speaker 1: for told me it should be, But you can't say
- 6:36Speaker 1: seventy three. I would split it. Not, I would split
- 6:42Speaker 1: the difference. I think we have to go eighty on
- 6:43Speaker 1: this game. Your face is seventy three. I mean, the
- 6:51Speaker 1: only the only thing that the Super Bowls generally, the
- 6:54Speaker 1: first halves are lower scoring because there's a lot of
- 6:58Speaker 1: a lot of nerves involved, a lot of kind of
- 7:00Speaker 1: feeling everything out, and then the second halves usually explode.
- 7:03Speaker 1: So that would be the one saving grace for making
- 7:06Speaker 1: it lower than eighty. But uh, they would still put
- 7:10Speaker 1: up sixty seventy points in the second half alone. Do
- 7:14Speaker 1: you feel like you will see a total this year
- 7:18Speaker 1: at seventy points? No, No, you know, the reality is
- 7:23Speaker 1: we still have to inch it up. You know, it's
- 7:26Speaker 1: all joking aside. I'd like to make it that high,
- 7:28Speaker 1: but for for these regular season games, we're going to
- 7:33Speaker 1: have to just keep you know, sixty sixty six, sixty
- 7:36Speaker 1: seven and inch it up. We'll rely on a lot
- 7:39Speaker 1: of the professional handicappers to kind of validate our number.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Last night when we hung thirty five in the second
- 7:45Speaker 1: half that they pounded the under the Sharp guys, they
- 7:49Speaker 1: pounded it, and we we we want more on the
- 7:51Speaker 1: second half than uh probably any any Monday Night halftime
- 7:56Speaker 1: this year, just on that total. Uh So you know,
- 8:00Speaker 1: it's when they start betting the over with the public
- 8:05Speaker 1: that we're kind of in trouble. And I saw that
- 8:07Speaker 1: a little bit with one of the totals we hung
- 8:09Speaker 1: this week with the Falcons and the Saints, and uh
- 8:12Speaker 1: we hung fifty nine and not we knew the public
- 8:16Speaker 1: is going to be on you know, Saints Falcon's over,
- 8:19Speaker 1: but the Sharp guys betted over as well. So that's
- 8:22Speaker 1: that's when we start getting in trouble when when they're
- 8:24Speaker 1: they're betting the same side as the public. Fifty nine,
- 8:27Speaker 1: honest to God, as a total for the Saints Falcons,
- 8:30Speaker 1: it feels quaint, do you know what I mean? Well,
- 8:34Speaker 1: sixty one now it feels charming, like, oh cute, they're
- 8:39Speaker 1: you know, making it sixty one. That game is gonna
- 8:44Speaker 1: land at sixty nine or seventy. It's gonna be like
- 8:48Speaker 1: one is going to be an absolute shootout on Thursday. Yeah, Hey,
- 8:55Speaker 1: I'm afraid you're I'm afraid you're right. How much did
- 9:00Speaker 1: you how much did you lose in this game? Did
- 9:02Speaker 1: you get killed in this game? Do you get killed
- 9:03Speaker 1: in this money night game? We've had worse, We've had
- 9:07Speaker 1: worse this year. I think that the fact that, uh, um,
- 9:11Speaker 1: we had a you know, a decent Sunday save the
- 9:14Speaker 1: fact that there wasn't a lot of liability going into
- 9:16Speaker 1: Monday Night. So that's what usually determines how bad our
- 9:19Speaker 1: Monday nights ares, how bad Sundays are, And you had
- 9:24Speaker 1: a pretty good Sunday. Uh, you know, the Steelers didn't
- 9:28Speaker 1: cover the who else didn't cover? Is the Chargers didn't cover? Um,
- 9:35Speaker 1: what were some other big favorites. I mean, the Saints
- 9:37Speaker 1: covered big, but that money was coming in on Philadelphia,
- 9:40Speaker 1: so you got saved there and the Bears covered, but
- 9:44Speaker 1: I don't think you were probably getting a huge money
- 9:46Speaker 1: on the Bears. So yeah, that that was deceivingly bad.
- 9:51Speaker 1: A lot of a lot of late money came in
- 9:53Speaker 1: on the Bears, and we lost a little bit more
- 9:56Speaker 1: on that game than I thought we'd lose for Sunday
- 9:58Speaker 1: Night game. Usually, you know, the Sunday night games favorite
- 10:02Speaker 1: and over is usually bad. But because it was the Vikings.
- 10:06Speaker 1: We were getting a lot of early money on the
- 10:07Speaker 1: Vikings during the week, and but then it just all
- 10:10Speaker 1: came in late, and so we we gave a lot
- 10:13Speaker 1: back on the Sunday night game. You know what hurt me?
- 10:15Speaker 1: I had the Chiefs of the money line. Oh well,
- 10:22Speaker 1: you know what they say, what's the right side? Is
- 10:26Speaker 1: the winning side? Yeah, I've heard that. So there's no
- 10:29Speaker 1: such things a tough feat. You're either right or you're wrong.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Last night I was wrong last night you were wrong?
- 10:41Speaker 1: Why was I wrong? Because? Yeah, on the total? Yeah,
- 10:47Speaker 1: way wrong on the total. Way, But what are you
- 10:51Speaker 1: supposed to do? It's like a college basketball game. Let's
- 10:54Speaker 1: say we hang you seven on a you know, Duke
- 10:57Speaker 1: North Carolina and they two hundred points. Are we supposed
- 11:01Speaker 1: to say the next time that that they play, We're
- 11:04Speaker 1: supposed to make the toll two hundred? Well? Why not? Though?
- 11:09Speaker 1: Like if the if the Rams, seriously, if the Rams
- 11:12Speaker 1: and the Chiefs playing the Super Bowl, any line you
- 11:16Speaker 1: set under seventy is going to be bed over right,
- 11:20Speaker 1: any line you set, you are gonna be lopsided. You're
- 11:24Speaker 1: gonna need the under for your lungs. You are gonna
- 11:28Speaker 1: be praying for incompletions you that it's gonna be a
- 11:32Speaker 1: five hour game. That is going to be a five
- 11:35Speaker 1: hour sauna for you. It's gonna be miserable. If you
- 11:39Speaker 1: don't hang a rams Chief super Bowl at eighty three,
- 11:44Speaker 1: then I I don't even want to know you, scooch.
- 11:47Speaker 1: But now you're making my point. Now we've just reversed ourselves.
- 11:52Speaker 1: And and and that was the point I made five
- 11:54Speaker 1: minutes ago. Well clearly it's sunk, kid, because I'm with you. Yeah,
- 12:04Speaker 1: how is Thanksgiving gonna treat you? Are you gonna look
- 12:07Speaker 1: what's gonna happen? Is your beautiful bride gonna have sort
- 12:11Speaker 1: of the whole family waiting for you at the end
- 12:14Speaker 1: of the day when you come home. Are you gonna
- 12:16Speaker 1: be tense? I'm miserable every Thanksgiving. Everything's giving. That is
- 12:21Speaker 1: not a fun day for me, And it doesn't. It's
- 12:25Speaker 1: just it's like Sunday on steroids for me. Like Sundays
- 12:28Speaker 1: are not good days now. Even if we have good Sundays,
- 12:31Speaker 1: they're not They're not fun days for me. They're just
- 12:35Speaker 1: it's just a lot of work and a lot of
- 12:38Speaker 1: anxiety and a lot of just tension. So so Thanksgiving
- 12:42Speaker 1: is just more of the same. Plus you've got your family,
- 12:49Speaker 1: plus I got my family. Yeah. Last night my wife
- 12:53Speaker 1: said to me she invited friends of ours over, a
- 12:57Speaker 1: couple with four kids. And I said, wow, it sounds great.
- 13:02Speaker 1: She goes really, I'm like, yeah, she goes, huh like
- 13:05Speaker 1: what I go? She goes, well, I don't know. I
- 13:07Speaker 1: was talking to one of our friends and I was
- 13:10Speaker 1: telling her how we invited these people over, and I
- 13:13Speaker 1: was convinced you just be like irritated, um that, like,
- 13:17Speaker 1: I'm invited more people over and you were going to
- 13:19Speaker 1: want a deal. I'm like, why do you make me
- 13:21Speaker 1: sound like an ogre? Well you must be an ogre,
- 13:26Speaker 1: I guess, so it must be really horrible. They you know,
- 13:32Speaker 1: they can read body language. You know, she can probably
- 13:34Speaker 1: read your expressions, so she's anticipating the next time. By
- 13:38Speaker 1: the way, you said, they about women as if they're
- 13:41Speaker 1: like I wanted to take that back if it came
- 13:44Speaker 1: out of my mouth, as it came out, as if
- 13:50Speaker 1: they are a different species with like a different kind
- 13:53Speaker 1: of sensory perception that us mere men cannot a man gin.
- 14:00Speaker 1: They are at a higher level. They can they can
- 14:04Speaker 1: sense fear, that's what you're saying. What are you doing
- 14:09Speaker 1: right now about the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lines?
- 14:12Speaker 1: Do you take that game off the board for Thursday? No?
- 14:15Speaker 1: I should have though, so actually that was I was
- 14:19Speaker 1: trying to deal with the parlay cards that had already
- 14:21Speaker 1: gone to the printers to try and change the line,
- 14:23Speaker 1: but I couldn't. Uh went on once it goes to press,
- 14:27Speaker 1: I mean that the cards are being printed, so money
- 14:30Speaker 1: was just pouring in and it's a little toold. On
- 14:33Speaker 1: Hold on, my wife is calling me right now. It's
- 14:35Speaker 1: not only can she sense fear and body language, but
- 14:39Speaker 1: she knows when I'm talking about her in the best
- 14:41Speaker 1: possible way. Oh my god, go ahead and take that.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, I don't want her on the
- 14:46Speaker 1: podcasting's only and for me, her ears must have been
- 14:50Speaker 1: burning seriously, right, yeah, Stacy's the best. Um, please continue.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I apologize because the reason I'm asking that question is
- 14:59Speaker 1: because Mitch Drabinsky did not practice, and there's fears about
- 15:03Speaker 1: his availability for the game, and and that was the thing.
- 15:06Speaker 1: So we were you know, every Thanksgiving they bet the favorite,
- 15:09Speaker 1: so we all automatically hang a lot of these popular
- 15:12Speaker 1: favorites high. So the Bears are probably a point higher
- 15:15Speaker 1: than what they would normally be, and Cowboys are a
- 15:17Speaker 1: little higher and Saints are a lot higher. So we
- 15:20Speaker 1: already hung the Bears four and a half. And uh,
- 15:24Speaker 1: as predicted, a lot of the public money was coming
- 15:26Speaker 1: in on the Bears. But the sharp guys took the
- 15:28Speaker 1: four and a half. Now that was before any news
- 15:30Speaker 1: on on Mr Drobiski. They had already taken the plus
- 15:32Speaker 1: four and a half. They must have gotten they as
- 15:36Speaker 1: soon as he didn't practice. They before we even got
- 15:39Speaker 1: word of it. Uh, they took plus four, They took
- 15:42Speaker 1: three and a half, They took three and a half.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Even money I just went down to three on the game.
- 15:48Speaker 1: So I went from four and a half to three
- 15:50Speaker 1: probably in the last hour or two. And just uh,
- 15:54Speaker 1: you know, just a ton of money that uh that
- 15:58Speaker 1: came in. That kind of caught us a little flat footed.
- 16:01Speaker 1: So uh a little annoyed at that. But who are
- 16:05Speaker 1: you who are just in general, no one, no one
- 16:09Speaker 1: in particular. Just you know, it's just a lot of
- 16:12Speaker 1: times that if somebody gets that information before we did, um,
- 16:16Speaker 1: you know, which we can't make the adjustment. So and
- 16:19Speaker 1: it's not to say that you know, he still made
- 16:22Speaker 1: play and we we don't know, so, but I like
- 16:25Speaker 1: to try and be ahead of um those kind of moves.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Aren't you the guy? Aren't you the guy who knew
- 16:34Speaker 1: Eli Apple was going to be traded and then the
- 16:35Speaker 1: Eagles were going after him too, and weeks before, and
- 16:39Speaker 1: yet Mitch true Bisky doesn't practice and everybody in Vegas
- 16:44Speaker 1: knows before you do. Yeah. Yeah, that's not just flat footed,
- 16:50Speaker 1: that's dereliction of duty. Hey, I was in I was
- 16:54Speaker 1: in meetings. I was no. Oh no, I cannot accept
- 17:00Speaker 1: that as an a certain meeting. Note on a certain meetings,
- 17:04Speaker 1: you have to kind of turn off all your devices
- 17:07Speaker 1: when you go in. When you go into certain meetings,
- 17:10Speaker 1: you just are completely cut off from the outside world.
- 17:14Speaker 1: It sounds like you need to start delegating some of
- 17:15Speaker 1: your responsibilities. Let people make some decisions. That's true. The
- 17:21Speaker 1: Dallas Cowboys are suddenly resurgent, and between Colt McCoy being
- 17:25Speaker 1: injured and the Cowboys winning two in a row, the
- 17:27Speaker 1: line opened it nine and a half. It's been bent
- 17:30Speaker 1: down to seven and a half, which is clearly more reasonable. Um,
- 17:34Speaker 1: the Cowboys shouldn't be nine and a half point favorites
- 17:36Speaker 1: over anybody. No, what's your logical? Where are you at?
- 17:40Speaker 1: What's happening? Well, well, the whole thing is just you know,
- 17:42Speaker 1: the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, especially when they're playing probably the
- 17:47Speaker 1: best that they've played all year, or at least you
- 17:49Speaker 1: know perception wise that that that's what the betters think.
- 17:53Speaker 1: So so we just went as high as we could
- 17:55Speaker 1: possibly go, knowing that the public is going to lay
- 17:57Speaker 1: these favorites. So, um, I agree with you did get corrected,
- 18:02Speaker 1: um who took took some sharp money on the Redskins.
- 18:05Speaker 1: But this will probably come right back up before kickoff time,
- 18:09Speaker 1: especially once the average uh fan kind of puts in
- 18:13Speaker 1: his his parlay's and doesn't really have a whole lot
- 18:17Speaker 1: of faith in Colt McCoy. So uh well, we'll see
- 18:22Speaker 1: how see how this line comes right back. I think
- 18:25Speaker 1: the difference between Colton McCoy and Alex Smith was three
- 18:27Speaker 1: points right around. Yeah that's right, Yeah, absolutely absolutely, yeah.
- 18:34Speaker 1: I nailed that, Yeah, nailed it. What do you make
- 18:39Speaker 1: the difference between Colt McCoy and Mark Sanchez twenty seven point?
- 18:50Speaker 1: Is that about right? That's a that's about right. That's
- 18:52Speaker 1: what That's what I would make it. Yeah, Mark Sanchez
- 18:55Speaker 1: like Jesus Christ, Marks like honest to guy, I think
- 19:00Speaker 1: Nathan picks six men and Mark Sanchez have the same
- 19:04Speaker 1: point spread value. Yeah, you know, Uh, do you feel
- 19:12Speaker 1: comfortable having the Cowboys being nine and a half point favorites?
- 19:15Speaker 1: If that line goes back up, I wouldn't I hire you?
- 19:19Speaker 1: Eight eight and a half is what I had. I
- 19:22Speaker 1: wasn't higher than eight and a half. I know there
- 19:24Speaker 1: was some nine min and a half's out there, but
- 19:26Speaker 1: I'd be okay with eight and a half. All right,
- 19:30Speaker 1: not right, ye, Scooch. We're gonna come back to the
- 19:34Speaker 1: podcast in a second, but first I want to tell

- 20:55Speaker 1: favorites dot robin hood dot com. I did it, scooge
- 21:00Speaker 1: I signed up for rabbing Hood. Let's get back to
- 21:02Speaker 1: our picks. I like this next game a lot Atlanta
- 21:04Speaker 1: at New Orleans open fourteen and a half. It's currently thirteen.
- 21:08Speaker 1: What are you at? Is the wise guy money moving
- 21:10Speaker 1: this down from more than two touchdowns? It is? Yeah,
- 21:16Speaker 1: we were looking at this game before the Saints just
- 21:19Speaker 1: rolled on Sunday. Uh. We were kind of anticipating these
- 21:23Speaker 1: three Thanksgiving Day games because they're so volatile and so
- 21:27Speaker 1: much money is being bet on them, that we were saying, kind,
- 21:30Speaker 1: we've got to make the New Orleans at least eleven
- 21:32Speaker 1: on this game. And then and then after after watching
- 21:37Speaker 1: New Orleans on Sunday, we're like, let's just go as
- 21:39Speaker 1: high as we could possibly go and and see if
- 21:42Speaker 1: the uh if the wise guys will take it. And uh,
- 21:47Speaker 1: first bets out of the gate, we're on the Saints.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I mean, we we hung thirteen and went right up
- 21:54Speaker 1: to thirteen and a half, took took another ten thousand
- 21:58Speaker 1: at minus thirteen and a half, uh, and then went
- 22:01Speaker 1: to fourteen. And that's when the wise guys started coming
- 22:04Speaker 1: coming in heavy on the Falcons. This line is so inflated.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I can't tell you. I mean this line really when
- 22:11Speaker 1: I say it should be a ten, I mean that's
- 22:13Speaker 1: what you know, the numbers say it should be. It's
- 22:16Speaker 1: just a bias on a high profile game on Thanksgiving
- 22:21Speaker 1: with the public is just writing the Saints every week.
- 22:24Speaker 1: It doesn't matter what number we put up there, they're
- 22:26Speaker 1: going to bet the Saints in this one. If we
- 22:28Speaker 1: hung this team, they would bet the Saints. They owned sixteen,
- 22:31Speaker 1: and so it's just a matter of what number is
- 22:34Speaker 1: going to draw some some big sharp action. And uh,
- 22:38Speaker 1: you know, if we don't have to go to fifteen
- 22:40Speaker 1: to get the sharp action, then then we won't. So
- 22:43Speaker 1: it looks like it looks like the sharp guys don't
- 22:46Speaker 1: want any more of plus thirteen. So I'm actually going
- 22:50Speaker 1: to go back to thirteen and a half as we speak.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Oh and there it is thirteen and a half like that,
- 23:04Speaker 1: do you I do? I think you changed it just
- 23:08Speaker 1: for the sound effect. Now you know we're gonna need. Actually,
- 23:15Speaker 1: I I am taking some some pretty big bets on
- 23:19Speaker 1: the Saints, just you know, in the two thousand, three
- 23:22Speaker 1: thousand dollar range here as we're as we're speaking, so
- 23:25Speaker 1: I was watching it creep up anyway. Um, you know.
- 23:29Speaker 1: So it's this is like I said, this is gonna
- 23:31Speaker 1: be like a Monday night game, like a Sunday night game.
- 23:35Speaker 1: It's all the favorites. If all the favorites come in
- 23:40Speaker 1: on early on Thanksgiving, then this this line goes right
- 23:43Speaker 1: back up to four team. I'm gonna hold off. Then
- 23:45Speaker 1: I want to bet the Falcons in this game. And
- 23:47Speaker 1: I'm just gonna wait to get the best of number. Yep.
- 23:51Speaker 1: I'm not saying the Saints can't just roll again, but
- 23:54Speaker 1: you you have to take the value in these games,
- 23:57Speaker 1: and and there's just tremendous amount of value in the
- 24:00Speaker 1: Falcons here. Again, this total is at open. New England
- 24:05Speaker 1: Patriots are nine and a half point favorites on the
- 24:08Speaker 1: road at the New York Jets. They, my friend, are
- 24:13Speaker 1: a train wreck, dumpster fire, trash of epic proportions, prime
- 24:21Speaker 1: spot for the Jets to cover. I agree with you there,
- 24:27Speaker 1: We're just so we're waiting. Uh. I mean there's a chance.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Uh Sam Donald plays here watching the quarterback situations in
- 24:38Speaker 1: a few of these games. But either way, either way,
- 24:40Speaker 1: you take ten points with the Jets at home. So
- 24:45Speaker 1: another game where probably the line should have been seven
- 24:49Speaker 1: and a a half, eight and a half. But these Thanksgiving
- 24:53Speaker 1: Day weekends, we know the town is just packed with tourists.
- 24:58Speaker 1: The tourists are gonna bet five six teams that they've
- 25:02Speaker 1: been following all year that they love to bet on,
- 25:04Speaker 1: and the Patriots are one of them. So we want
- 25:08Speaker 1: to be as you know, as high as we can.
- 25:11Speaker 1: We're not getting a whole lot of bets on the
- 25:14Speaker 1: Jets though, from the from the sharp guys, which is
- 25:17Speaker 1: a little little concerning. Um, you can't really go much
- 25:21Speaker 1: higher than or I don't want to go much higher
- 25:24Speaker 1: than ten when there's nine and a half's out there.
- 25:26Speaker 1: But well, we'll inch this game up too if we
- 25:29Speaker 1: have to. You know, you can sew it up to
- 25:31Speaker 1: eleven if you need to. Probably don't have to. I
- 25:35Speaker 1: think I think ten and a half is just such
- 25:37Speaker 1: a dude. It was another eighties movie reference. Oh I
- 25:42Speaker 1: missed it? What was what was that movie? This one
- 25:45Speaker 1: goes up to eleven? Spinal tap? Uh damn. It should
- 25:52Speaker 1: have got that one. That's like in your wheel house? Yeah,
- 25:56Speaker 1: what happened to you? Here's another shitty game. Baltimore is
- 26:04Speaker 1: tighter and a half playing favorites over the Raiders. What
- 26:06Speaker 1: the hell you do with that? It's one shitty team
- 26:09Speaker 1: against another. It's like, these lines are too high. I
- 26:13Speaker 1: can't do it anymore. You gotta take the Raiders here.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I don't want I'm not even gonna look at this game.
- 26:20Speaker 1: I hate this game. Put this game on in the
- 26:22Speaker 1: corner and let's just pretend it doesn't exist. Come on,
- 26:27Speaker 1: the Raiders coming off of that big win. That was
- 26:30Speaker 1: a big game for us, by the way, against the
- 26:33Speaker 1: That was a massive game against the Cardinals. I looked
- 26:35Speaker 1: on Sunday morning and like, I thought, that was gonna
- 26:37Speaker 1: be a a corner TV game and that had a
- 26:42Speaker 1: huge volume of bets, like one of the top three
- 26:44Speaker 1: or four most back games of the day. Yeah. Really
- 26:47Speaker 1: really another game that they came in late, and there
- 26:50Speaker 1: was just the three afternoon games and we were already
- 26:53Speaker 1: out of the Saints game. We were losers on that
- 26:55Speaker 1: one right out of the gate. So it was really
- 26:57Speaker 1: between uh you know, the Raider game and what was
- 27:01Speaker 1: the other afternoon game. We we were on the right
- 27:04Speaker 1: side of late there Chargers Broncos. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, that
- 27:09Speaker 1: was a huge one too, so so money line bets.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Uh Chargers let that one slip away and that that
- 27:16Speaker 1: ended up being good for us, But the Raiders turned
- 27:19Speaker 1: into it. And that just goes to show the volume
- 27:22Speaker 1: of the NFL when there's just the three games, even
- 27:24Speaker 1: a even a shitty game draws a ton of action.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Watch your mouth? Why swearing? What the fund is the
- 27:33Speaker 1: matter with you? Wow? One the way you got the
- 27:42Speaker 1: kids scared? What is some kind of you know sailor
- 27:47Speaker 1: fucking convention. They don't get to come in here and
- 27:50Speaker 1: start crissening up a storm just because you're Bob Scucci
- 27:53Speaker 1: and you think you host the podcast. Man, don't make
- 27:59Speaker 1: me get Scorsese in here. You sounded a little Scorsese,
- 28:06Speaker 1: Papa cap in you. Uh, please continue talk about this
- 28:13Speaker 1: crantastic game. Ravens Ravens min minus eleven got you don't
- 28:22Speaker 1: even have anything to say about it. I got nothing
- 28:24Speaker 1: to say about this game. Zero move on. No one's
- 28:28Speaker 1: bet in this game. Literally, I think there's seventy bets.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Seventy bets so far in this game. Uh. The New
- 28:36Speaker 1: York Giants plus six and a half at Philadelphia. Um,
- 28:44Speaker 1: let me tell you something. Before the season began, I
- 28:46Speaker 1: did one thing that sounded really smart. I said I
- 28:49Speaker 1: did not believe the Philadelphia Eagles would make the playoffs. Um,
- 28:54Speaker 1: obviously I didn't think they would win their division. Less
- 28:58Speaker 1: smart in the very high stakes pool I did with
- 29:02Speaker 1: my buddies in which we each pick eight teams to
- 29:05Speaker 1: win the Super Bowl and put in a sizeable chunk
- 29:09Speaker 1: of money to do so, I traded down in the
- 29:12Speaker 1: draft away from the Chiefs, thinking, well, I'll get the Giants,
- 29:17Speaker 1: and I feel like they're gamers. Nice move there, But
- 29:24Speaker 1: I was high on the Giants too at the beginning
- 29:26Speaker 1: of the year. I think everybody was. It was almost
- 29:28Speaker 1: a clue that we should just jump off on that.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Every pundit felt that this was the year the Giants
- 29:34Speaker 1: just make leaps and strides improvements. Uh, you know, new
- 29:39Speaker 1: new coaching staff, new offensive lines, defensive acquisitions. You know,
- 29:45Speaker 1: it's just and of course, uh, they're horrible. I think
- 29:52Speaker 1: it's not so much my mistake because I was only
- 29:54Speaker 1: on the Giants after you said to me otherwise, guys
- 29:56Speaker 1: are in the Giants. Yep. Yeah, well they were too.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I mean, you know, betting the season win total. But
- 30:06Speaker 1: this is a weird line. Six points. Two teams that
- 30:09Speaker 1: are relaying the line moved down. It opened at seven,
- 30:13Speaker 1: we're down to five and a half. Now you're getting
- 30:15Speaker 1: hit with some wise guy money on this. Yeah. So
- 30:18Speaker 1: in the you know, two equally bad teams that you're getting,
- 30:25Speaker 1: you're getting six points um the rivalry and uh, I
- 30:29Speaker 1: guess a little more value on that. Which team seems
- 30:32Speaker 1: to be playing better? Even though the Giants let Tampa
- 30:36Speaker 1: Bay almost come back and win that game last week
- 30:39Speaker 1: when the Giants were a big uh, just when I
- 30:42Speaker 1: was about to say the Giants are looking pretty decent,
- 30:44Speaker 1: and then that second half they Tampa Bay brings in
- 30:48Speaker 1: Jameis Winston, they pulled Fitzpatrick and Giants almost let another
- 30:53Speaker 1: one slip away. So not a whole lot of action
- 30:57Speaker 1: on this game. I mean, this would have been a
- 30:59Speaker 1: game early in season when you look on the schedule
- 31:01Speaker 1: and you think it's going to be one of the
- 31:02Speaker 1: good ones, and the way it turns out with these
- 31:05Speaker 1: two teams, it's, uh, one of the ones that you
- 31:08Speaker 1: know they're not really gonna pay too much attention to. Well,
- 31:10Speaker 1: you know what, Odell Beckham said, they could still win
- 31:12Speaker 1: eight in a row, and they can't. They've won two
- 31:14Speaker 1: in a row, only six more. Yep, what are the
- 31:19Speaker 1: odds on that? She said A line on that that
- 31:22Speaker 1: would have been a good line for you that you
- 31:24Speaker 1: know seems ago to said. Whether or not that they
- 31:25Speaker 1: would go eat no Yah finished the season would have
- 31:30Speaker 1: been five thousand to one. Think about the action you
- 31:34Speaker 1: could have taken. Just like for fun, you would have
- 31:36Speaker 1: been the only book in Vegas putting up those lines.
- 31:38Speaker 1: You would have gotten some you know, commercial appeal. Someone
- 31:41Speaker 1: like the Action Network would have written about you, Yeah,
- 31:45Speaker 1: that you're too busy and meetings, turning off your phone
- 31:46Speaker 1: to really think about how to market your book. Yeah,
- 31:52Speaker 1: San Francisco, speaking of, they are on the road at
- 31:55Speaker 1: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. God only knows who's gonna play
- 31:58Speaker 1: quarterback for them. God only knows who's gonna watch this game.
- 32:02Speaker 1: The Buccaneers are three and a half playing favorites. We
- 32:06Speaker 1: opened four on this one, and the wise guys love
- 32:09Speaker 1: the forty. Niners bet the plus four. They bet the
- 32:13Speaker 1: plus three and a half, went down the three minus
- 32:16Speaker 1: twenty and slowed everything down. But the public is still
- 32:22Speaker 1: on the Buccaneers on this one, probably at about a
- 32:25Speaker 1: three to one clip so, um, just because they're the favorites,
- 32:30Speaker 1: where we'll get some public money on them, but we've
- 32:32Speaker 1: already taken some significant money from from the sharp guys
- 32:37Speaker 1: on the Niners. You have yep, Nick Mullins fans huh huge, Yeah,
- 32:44Speaker 1: what's the showing? I don't know, Listen the next game.
- 32:49Speaker 1: We gotta run a really bad games here, but let's
- 32:50Speaker 1: pretend that they're interesting. So Cleveland at Cincinnati, this is
- 32:54Speaker 1: the huge Jackson ball. Um, I'm surprised this line knowing
- 32:59Speaker 1: that Hugh Jackson as the Browns playbook. Uh, and it's
- 33:02Speaker 1: gonna be whispering sweet nothings in Marvin Lewis's ear. I'm
- 33:05Speaker 1: surprised you haven't like moved this line of way up
- 33:08Speaker 1: because it sounds like that is just a a death
- 33:13Speaker 1: defying feat for the Browns to come in and beat
- 33:18Speaker 1: the Bengals on the road, knowing they have to go
- 33:20Speaker 1: against their old coach like that is going to be
- 33:22Speaker 1: the storyline that is going to be the lazy storyline
- 33:25Speaker 1: for the week. It will be the only storyline of
- 33:28Speaker 1: this game because, uh, nobody, nobody cares about this game
- 33:33Speaker 1: other than probably the folks in Cincinnati or Cleveland. We
- 33:38Speaker 1: have no no action on this game at all, no
- 33:41Speaker 1: sizeable bed Yeah, I mean ticket ticket count. It's probably
- 33:47Speaker 1: five to one Bengals. We're at three minus twenty. But
- 33:50Speaker 1: maybe the twenty cents is discouraging some of the sharp
- 33:54Speaker 1: guys from laying the price. But um, I could kind
- 33:57Speaker 1: of get though how the game will go to three
- 34:01Speaker 1: and a half from the I think the sharp guys
- 34:03Speaker 1: are probably gonna lay the three on this one more.
- 34:07Speaker 1: I don't see them taking the Browns in this one.
- 34:10Speaker 1: So you're probably right in that it's probably gonna get
- 34:13Speaker 1: a little higher. So we'll keep an eye on this one.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Trying to move this quick. I'm kind of annoyed with
- 34:19Speaker 1: the NFL schedulers that they made like every game after
- 34:22Speaker 1: Thanksgiving bad. Well look and look at these huge point spreads.
- 34:27Speaker 1: I mean, you've got double digit, double digit point spreads
- 34:31Speaker 1: in like five games this week, and it's it's ridiculous,
- 34:35Speaker 1: horrible teams make It's gonna it's gonna make the Thanksgiving
- 34:43Speaker 1: Day games that much bigger because people are just gonna
- 34:45Speaker 1: focus on those, you know, three or four big, real
- 34:49Speaker 1: good games and then the rest of the schedule is
- 34:51Speaker 1: not gonna mean much. They're betting their cash on Thursday. Yep,
- 34:57Speaker 1: what runs? What? What? What is a good word for
- 35:00Speaker 1: a movie? Do I miss another one? Now you just
- 35:08Speaker 1: sound like my father in law. I got it, I
- 35:13Speaker 1: got it. I know what that is. I got it.
- 35:19Speaker 1: This line has moved and this was interesting to me. Uh,
- 35:22Speaker 1: Carolina opened at three, it's now at three and a half,
- 35:26Speaker 1: and the majority of the bets are coming in on Seattle.
- 35:31Speaker 1: So what I'm seeing is that the wise guys liked
- 35:34Speaker 1: Carolina as a short home favorite. That's what we're seeing
- 35:38Speaker 1: two and I I thought that they would like the Seahawks.
- 35:43Speaker 1: I was. I was a little surprised by the by
- 35:45Speaker 1: the move here. I don't know what they're they're seeing.
- 35:48Speaker 1: I'm not surprised. I'm not surprised, uh, because I think
- 35:53Speaker 1: there's there's a lot of um public sentiment for the
- 35:59Speaker 1: Seahawk right now, and especially coming off that win against
- 36:05Speaker 1: the Packers, and obviously the Panthers just lost to the Lions.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Um so people are less inclined to think this is
- 36:12Speaker 1: a good team. I don't think they're very good team either,
- 36:15Speaker 1: but but I think the line should have been closer
- 36:17Speaker 1: to four when it opened. And so to me, there
- 36:20Speaker 1: was about a point of value for the wise guys.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Good argument. Jacksonville minus These games are like enigmas and
- 36:29Speaker 1: puzzles to me, Jacksonville minus three against Buffalo? Is it
- 36:33Speaker 1: possible I could have betting fatigue right now? In this moment?
- 36:37Speaker 1: Can I have betting fatigue? The idea of having to
- 36:40Speaker 1: think about whether or not I like Jacksonville or Buffalo
- 36:43Speaker 1: is actually dragging me down, just just to have to
- 36:50Speaker 1: try and greet into this game is just it's kind
- 36:53Speaker 1: of discouraging. I'm going with Jacksonville. No, I'm going with Buffalo.
- 37:00Speaker 1: I can't picture many people going with Buffalo and this one,
- 37:03Speaker 1: especially with the Jags looking a lot better last week
- 37:09Speaker 1: than they have previously. So um, there's really nothing to
- 37:13Speaker 1: be too encouraged about betting on the Bills here other
- 37:17Speaker 1: than the factor at home. So um, I'm gonna move
- 37:21Speaker 1: the Jags pretty quick if we get any kind of
- 37:25Speaker 1: sizeable bet on the Jags. But right now I'm not
- 37:28Speaker 1: seeing much of anything. A lot of public money just
- 37:31Speaker 1: all on the Jags, but nothing big, no substantial bets
- 37:35Speaker 1: either way. Nothing from the sharp guys on this one.
- 37:38Speaker 1: You're not gonna get anything. I might move it right now.
- 37:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna go to Yeah, I'm gonna go to four. Now.
- 37:51Speaker 1: You're just doing it for the sound effect, you know,
- 37:56Speaker 1: like that's an easy one to do. No one's gonna
- 37:58Speaker 1: bet on this game. I can move the line of four.
- 38:01Speaker 1: It's open. It's not gonna It's like the risk analysis
- 38:04Speaker 1: here is I get to hear the horn. Yeah, that's it.
- 38:09Speaker 1: It's a good trade off. Yeah, I get to do
- 38:11Speaker 1: the horn and have a little fun and nobody's gonna
- 38:14Speaker 1: bet in this game, so it doesn't matter. Um here's
- 38:16Speaker 1: another massive number on a team that broke my heart.
- 38:20Speaker 1: I finally decide last week, I'm going in on the Chargers.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I liked them as touchdown favorites against the Broncos. I've
- 38:28Speaker 1: seen them playing so well, I'm all in. Uh, and
- 38:34Speaker 1: they had that game. They should have won that game
- 38:36Speaker 1: by three touchdowns. It was that one turnover Philip Rivers
- 38:40Speaker 1: von Miller late in the third quarter, I think, and
- 38:43Speaker 1: it just changed everything. It really did, and that that
- 38:48Speaker 1: was a game the Chargers just dominated offensively. They just
- 38:51Speaker 1: drove down the field pretty much at will. There's another
- 38:55Speaker 1: point in that game that I thought was pivotal and
- 38:58Speaker 1: that uh, Philip Rivers just trying to run out the clock.
- 39:02Speaker 1: He threw the ball at a receiver's feet that that
- 39:05Speaker 1: stopped the clock as Denver, gave Denver another time out
- 39:09Speaker 1: and as it turned out, just enough time to to
- 39:11Speaker 1: come back down and kick a field goal. So uh,
- 39:14Speaker 1: there was just a lot of uh mental mistakes in
- 39:18Speaker 1: that game for a team that just I'm I was
- 39:20Speaker 1: high on the Chargers myself, and uh, just again, they
- 39:25Speaker 1: really should have won much should have won that game easy,
- 39:29Speaker 1: and uh, they just they just gave it away. And
- 39:32Speaker 1: yet they're twelve and a half place favorites right now
- 39:34Speaker 1: and they're gonna lay it and this line is gonna
- 39:36Speaker 1: go up. You think so? Yeah, the Cardinals are that bad? Yeah? Absolutely?
- 39:44Speaker 1: Who did they lose to last week? Peace? Wow? Yeah,
- 39:50Speaker 1: this is another line that's going to close their team.
- 39:54Speaker 1: I would say i'd move it now, but I want
- 39:55Speaker 1: to hear that. Damn horn. Now you're just doing it
- 39:59Speaker 1: because you're there. I called you out. You're a little embarrassed.
- 40:01Speaker 1: I'm sorry about that. It is going to go up. God,
- 40:07Speaker 1: that's a game I don't want to have to make
- 40:08Speaker 1: a decision on. Problem is, I'm doing this pick him
- 40:10Speaker 1: contest with my buddy, and we got to choose every
- 40:13Speaker 1: game against the spread. It's the one where the loser
- 40:16Speaker 1: gets sent like all these second place trophies, no money,
- 40:19Speaker 1: just pride. And I've killed him for the past five years,
- 40:23Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, it's like tight and he's
- 40:28Speaker 1: just calling me and taunting me about all the trophies
- 40:31Speaker 1: he's gonna buy. And I'm looking at these games and
- 40:34Speaker 1: I'm not thinking about any money. I'm only thinking about
- 40:38Speaker 1: I don't want to pick this because he's going to
- 40:40Speaker 1: pick on your side and I'm gonna like lose this season.
- 40:43Speaker 1: And I'm feelingly at the Cubs like he's just in
- 40:45Speaker 1: my head right now, right exactly. Betting is the worst.
- 40:53Speaker 1: I do you know why I hate Sundays. I don't
- 40:57Speaker 1: like Mondays with name Matt Tune. This is an interesting
- 41:09Speaker 1: line to me. Miami opened as a ten point underdog.
- 41:14Speaker 1: The line has moved to eight. Ten felt really really high.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Ten felt like irrational exuberance for the Colts. Well, this
- 41:23Speaker 1: is all on. Ryan Tanneh helped the line moved down
- 41:28Speaker 1: to eight on on the news that he was upgraded. Okay,
- 41:33Speaker 1: so yeah, that that was and I agree with you
- 41:36Speaker 1: the line. The line was probably on the high side,
- 41:39Speaker 1: even even with os Weiler, and I mean it was
- 41:44Speaker 1: we we we try to go on the high side,
- 41:47Speaker 1: especially with these big favorites again because of the Thanksgiving
- 41:51Speaker 1: Day weekend and UH and the the amount of people
- 41:54Speaker 1: that are going to be in town betting all these
- 41:56Speaker 1: public teams, um, so it was it was a little inflation.
- 42:00Speaker 1: But when the news came out with Tannehill, then the
- 42:02Speaker 1: sharp guys just kind of jumped on it. So we're down.
- 42:05Speaker 1: We're down to eight and a half, and slow down,
- 42:09Speaker 1: don't We don't have much on either side of minus
- 42:11Speaker 1: eight and a half. So just off the news, you
- 42:13Speaker 1: didn't adjust the number, you would have left the number
- 42:15Speaker 1: the same, meaning Tannehill to brock Oss Wilder. Isn't that
- 42:19Speaker 1: much of a change in points, per right, But obviously
- 42:22Speaker 1: the Bettors felt differently, so they took the ten. They
- 42:26Speaker 1: took the nine and a half and some of the nine.
- 42:31Speaker 1: This is a good one. Finally, Pittsburgh at Denver. Denver
- 42:37Speaker 1: is a three point underdog at home. Tell you what, man,
- 42:44Speaker 1: not a very good football team, but they know how
- 42:46Speaker 1: to cover. They've they've won some. They've covered some big
- 42:50Speaker 1: games for us, a couple of back doors, especially at home.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Uh they're on my favorites list now and uh, this
- 42:58Speaker 1: is gonna be another one. We're gonna we're to need
- 43:00Speaker 1: them in terms of parlays, but in terms of straight bets,
- 43:04Speaker 1: we've actually taken more on the Broncos than any other
- 43:08Speaker 1: team except the Lions, and the Lions was all on
- 43:11Speaker 1: that Trabinsky news, but we just got pounded on the
- 43:16Speaker 1: on the Broncos from the sharp guys. We opened four,
- 43:19Speaker 1: so it was probably a half a point higher than
- 43:22Speaker 1: what we would normally make it, but just trying to
- 43:25Speaker 1: anticipate with some of the public money, we went on
- 43:27Speaker 1: the high side. So I kind of expected them taking
- 43:30Speaker 1: the plus four, but I didn't really expect them taking
- 43:33Speaker 1: plus three and a half and driving it down to three.
- 43:35Speaker 1: I feel like, you know, the public will come in
- 43:40Speaker 1: on the weekend and they'll see the Steelers only laying three,
- 43:43Speaker 1: and they're gonna just be all over this. So it's
- 43:46Speaker 1: gonna be one of those games where the sharp guys
- 43:48Speaker 1: in the public are just on complete opposite ends. If
- 43:52Speaker 1: I want to be a sharp guy, I missed the
- 43:53Speaker 1: best of the number, you would probably recommend waiting until
- 43:57Speaker 1: Sunday so I can get in the good graces of
- 44:01Speaker 1: the number. Yeah, particularly because there's you know, there's only
- 44:05Speaker 1: it's an afternoon game. It's it's one of the late games.
- 44:08Speaker 1: So again, depending on how the morning goes, if a
- 44:11Speaker 1: lot of the favorites cover in the morning, you're gonna
- 44:13Speaker 1: see a lot of the afternoon favorites get driven up
- 44:16Speaker 1: even higher. So, um, you've got a chance to get
- 44:19Speaker 1: that three and a half or even four later later
- 44:23Speaker 1: in the week. I mean guarantee the public is going
- 44:25Speaker 1: to be betting the Steelers in this one, and there's
- 44:28Speaker 1: gonna be some big public money in town, so this
- 44:31Speaker 1: line will go back up. I feel like this past
- 44:33Speaker 1: weekend for the Steelers was a seminal moment in their season.
- 44:37Speaker 1: They have been through so much and between the Levy
- 44:41Speaker 1: on Bell stuff early season losses a tie, they have
- 44:46Speaker 1: come around. Their defense is getting significantly better. You saw
- 44:49Speaker 1: it this past weekend against the Jags. They can unload
- 44:53Speaker 1: when they have to offensively, like they found a way
- 44:56Speaker 1: to win that game. Pure grit, pure talent, pure want.
- 45:00Speaker 1: That was just want. It really was. Yeah that was
- 45:04Speaker 1: I am. I am both to bet a road favorite. Um,
- 45:10Speaker 1: but if I were going to pick one this week,
- 45:11Speaker 1: it would be the Steelers. M M yeah, I can
- 45:15Speaker 1: see it. I mean I was trying to be high
- 45:18Speaker 1: on the Steelers last week too and ended up falling
- 45:21Speaker 1: on a bad number, which you know, turn turn from
- 45:25Speaker 1: being one of the best games on the board to
- 45:26Speaker 1: being an okay game in terms of the sports book
- 45:30Speaker 1: win win loss statement. Um, so I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 45:33Speaker 1: be high on them most most every game. I mean,
- 45:36Speaker 1: Steelers just draw so much betting support is just incredible,
- 45:40Speaker 1: the number of people that just even non Steeler fans
- 45:43Speaker 1: will throw the Steelers in Parley's So, um, we're always
- 45:47Speaker 1: going to be on the high side with the Steelers.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Speaking of highside, you got Sunday nights, second week in
- 45:52Speaker 1: a row. You've got the Minnesota Vikings on the TV.
- 45:56Speaker 1: There are three and a half point favorites against a reeling,
- 46:00Speaker 1: not very good, not very well coached, a little bit
- 46:06Speaker 1: disorganized Packers team that is probably going to need a
- 46:11Speaker 1: new head coach next year. Yeah. I don't disagree with
- 46:17Speaker 1: with anything you said, and we were on the high
- 46:21Speaker 1: side here too. We took a little bit of Packer money.
- 46:23Speaker 1: I wouldn't say a tremendous amount of sharp play, but
- 46:29Speaker 1: we took some decent sized bets on the Packers at
- 46:33Speaker 1: plus three and a half and we went to three
- 46:36Speaker 1: and a half minus twenty on the Packers. And the
- 46:40Speaker 1: public seems to be honest at about a two to
- 46:42Speaker 1: one ratio, so they haven't jumped off, and I think
- 46:45Speaker 1: we'll get pretty good two way, two way action on
- 46:47Speaker 1: this one. We saw some a lot of Viking support
- 46:50Speaker 1: against the Bears last week, and um, Vikings will still
- 46:54Speaker 1: draw a lot of betting action. You saw some size
- 46:57Speaker 1: Johnny on the Packers, Yes, we did. I'm trying to
- 47:02Speaker 1: make that a thing. Is it hasn't working out well,
- 47:07Speaker 1: you're hesitated, So no, not that great. It's like, uh,
- 47:13Speaker 1: if I may refer to another movie, this one from
- 47:17Speaker 1: a little bit more recent, Mean Girls, one of the
- 47:22Speaker 1: characters continue to try to make fetch a thing like
- 47:25Speaker 1: that's so fetch. So yeah, okay, yeah, you lost me
- 47:32Speaker 1: on the Mean Girls. Alright, alright, father in law. Um,
- 47:37Speaker 1: let's just say you've got some size Johnny coming in
- 47:39Speaker 1: in the pack and the money is coming back in
- 47:42Speaker 1: on the Vikes, and we're moving on to Houston. Is
- 47:45Speaker 1: four point favorites against the Tennessee Titans, the kind of
- 47:49Speaker 1: fraudulent seven games in a row winning Texans versus the
- 47:54Speaker 1: inconsistent don't know who you're going to get? Uh, look
- 47:59Speaker 1: like they play hard then have a couple of stinkers
- 48:01Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans. Yeah, we have no line on this game yet.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Because of no line, Houston is going to be somewhere
- 48:15Speaker 1: around up touch almost a touchdown favorite. Um, but it's
- 48:21Speaker 1: gonna it's gonna depend on whose quarterback. And I mean
- 48:25Speaker 1: there's just injuries Tennessee on Mariota, so we gotta just wait.
- 48:31Speaker 1: He's quite listening as questionable right now, but we need
- 48:34Speaker 1: a little bit more information before we hang a hang
- 48:37Speaker 1: a line on this one. But we're not real high
- 48:40Speaker 1: on the on this Houston team either, even though they're
- 48:43Speaker 1: in the middle of that winning streak and said last
- 48:45Speaker 1: week that they shouldn't really be uh laying points on
- 48:48Speaker 1: the road like they were in that Redskins game, and
- 48:51Speaker 1: I think they still almost lost it. So they didn't cover.
- 48:54Speaker 1: They definitely didn't cover second week in row where they
- 48:58Speaker 1: second week in a row where they eat how to
- 49:00Speaker 1: win on the road in a situation where they got
- 49:03Speaker 1: very lucky. Yeah. Absolutely, there was a defensive touchdown in there,
- 49:09Speaker 1: and of course, uh Alex Smith got got hurt, and
- 49:13Speaker 1: so I mean, yeah, there was there was a lot
- 49:15Speaker 1: of things going their way there. The public loves this
- 49:18Speaker 1: team a lot more than sort of sharps like you
- 49:20Speaker 1: and I. Yeah they do, but they weren't really it
- 49:24Speaker 1: wasn't a real big game last week. They weren't overwhelmingly
- 49:28Speaker 1: on h We had pretty good two way action on
- 49:30Speaker 1: that game last week. What was our Scoot Rowlett, what
- 49:36Speaker 1: were our Scoot Roulett picks last week? You had the
- 49:40Speaker 1: Rams at what the ran number? I had him at
- 49:44Speaker 1: two and a half. But that that was That was
- 49:46Speaker 1: before they moved the game to l A. A win
- 49:51Speaker 1: is a win a right the right side of the
- 49:53Speaker 1: winning side. Someone genius once said that, and uh, Chad
- 49:58Speaker 1: Millman in his head had the redskins. But I think
- 50:01Speaker 1: out loud he said the Falcons. You did love the
- 50:05Speaker 1: Falcons last week? That was stupid, wasn't it. I now
- 50:09Speaker 1: you like him again this week. Lack of options and
- 50:14Speaker 1: imagination for for a guy that hated the Falcons all year,
- 50:19Speaker 1: now suddenly you like all year eight years eight years. Yeah,
- 50:26Speaker 1: pretty much. I have had the same tired take on
- 50:32Speaker 1: the Falcons since you and I were doing this ed ESPN. Yeah,
- 50:37Speaker 1: I remember we have been together for a long time,
- 50:43Speaker 1: size Johnny, We have absolutely all right, So who do
- 50:49Speaker 1: you want to go with? I don't like hold on,
- 50:52Speaker 1: hold on, scars, I gotta scars. It's so fucking hot
- 50:58Speaker 1: in this studio that like, I'm honestly delirious. I can't
- 51:04Speaker 1: even see. It's like foggy, and um my head is
- 51:10Speaker 1: spinning a little bit. I might be dehydrated. I can
- 51:13Speaker 1: see like a big bottle of water all the way
- 51:16Speaker 1: across the table from me, and I wish, I wish
- 51:20Speaker 1: I could have it. But it's kind of like an oasis.
- 51:23Speaker 1: What's going on there? What aren't you in the aren't
- 51:26Speaker 1: you in the studio? Isn't what is it? The heat
- 51:29Speaker 1: up too high? What's going on? It's like a cocoon
- 51:32Speaker 1: of heat. So I'm missing my cues. We're supposed to
- 51:40Speaker 1: play the music. That's what I was gonna say. Here
- 51:42Speaker 1: we go, talk to me, goose from there you go.
- 51:57Speaker 1: I'm back. I'm back in Shank, tell me what you got.
- 52:01Speaker 1: I don't. I don't like it, but I have to
- 52:03Speaker 1: take Atlanta. Do you have to? It's thirteen and a
- 52:12Speaker 1: half points. Now. You leave me literally with nothing. There
- 52:19Speaker 1: was nothing out there. I kind of like the Steelers.
- 52:24Speaker 1: What a horrible, horrible, horrible I'm gonna take the Steelers. Yeah?
- 52:33Speaker 1: Nice three? I mean you could, I mean you couldn't
- 52:35Speaker 1: take the bills, you know, plus plus three and a half.
- 52:40Speaker 1: It's not funny. I don't even have the energy to
- 52:43Speaker 1: fake laugh because it's so oppressive in here. You need
- 52:46Speaker 1: to just get outside. What what's the temperature outside there
- 52:51Speaker 1: yet about forty scooch. Listen, everyone in the studio was
- 52:56Speaker 1: suffering because they just gave me like the wrap up sign.
- 52:59Speaker 1: All right, there you go. This has been the favorites
- 53:03Speaker 1: from the Action Network. I am Chad Moman. He is
- 53:06Speaker 1: Bob Scucci. Listen to us on Apple podcast Radio dot com.
- 53:12Speaker 1: Don't forget subscribe rate review. One day we'll go back
- 53:16Speaker 1: to reading reviews. I don't know why we don't do
- 53:18Speaker 1: that anymore. Until next time, I'll see a litt
