- 0:00Speaker 1: Jeff Mosher from the Inside the Birds podcast is here,
- 0:03Speaker 1: also not a medical professional. However, bad job by the
- 0:07Speaker 1: Eagles sending Sirianni out there by himself today, or what
- 0:10Speaker 1: did you make of that performance?
- 0:13Speaker 2: You know, I mean, the Eagles have been through a
- 0:15Speaker 2: lot of situations like these, and they are smart enough
- 0:19Speaker 2: to know that they're going to have to take some
- 0:21Speaker 2: really ugly bullets for a day, and then a game's
- 0:24Speaker 2: going to be played Monday night, and everybody's going to
- 0:26Speaker 2: forget about that presser. I mean, there have just, there've
- 0:28Speaker 2: been a number of really uncomfortable and poorly designed or
- 0:35Speaker 2: executed press conferences throughout the decades from this franchise, because they,
- 0:39Speaker 2: they do things a little bit differently and they're, they'll
- 0:42Speaker 2: take the bullets for it, but you're asking a lot
- 0:44Speaker 2: of questions that I heard you ask that are pertinent
- 0:47Speaker 2: and fair. And I think the media asked a lot
- 0:49Speaker 2: of questions that were fair and you're right, Nick, if
- 0:54Speaker 2: you already know, that you are not going to divulge
- 0:57Speaker 2: answers or information, but then you have to go out
- 0:59Speaker 2: there and satisfy the mandated press conference anyway, then that's
- 1:04Speaker 2: what you're going to get, right? You're going to get
- 1:06Speaker 2: a just discombobulation of a press conference with no answers,
- 1:11Speaker 2: contention between the press, contention from the head coach. I
- 1:16Speaker 2: don't see how it could have worked any better unless,
- 1:18Speaker 2: as you mentioned, Mike, they put different personnel out there, doctors,
- 1:21Speaker 2: medical staff, and they're not going to do that.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Right. I mean, and listen, I appreciate the question that
- 1:27Speaker 1: Jeff McClain asked, which was pretty forceful, by the way,
- 1:32Speaker 1: to say, I'm asking the question. You're the spokesman of
- 1:34Speaker 1: the team right now. And I think that was a
- 1:36Speaker 1: message to the team to let them know you put
- 1:38Speaker 1: your guy out there and he looks like an idiot.
- 1:42Speaker 2: That's very possible. You know, I can't pretend to know
- 1:45Speaker 2: if Jeff's just getting information or if he's trying to
- 1:47Speaker 2: make a point. But both happened. And, you know, the
- 1:51Speaker 2: Eagles look a certain way. because of this, you know,
- 1:55Speaker 2: you mentioned, yeah, not good, not good. Like, I think
- 1:58Speaker 2: that there's a really fair question. And Jeff asked it
- 2:01Speaker 2: about allowing him to fly back, knowing the risks. Now
- 2:05Speaker 2: I'm not sitting here saying that I believe that the
- 2:09Speaker 2: Eagles organization acted against medical advice.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I'm not saying that at all. And I also find
- 2:16Speaker 2: it very interesting that Tom Palacero had reported that Jalen
- 2:20Speaker 2: didn't sleep for quite many days. And that was earlier
- 2:24Speaker 2: this morning. And then literally at 2.58, two minutes before
- 2:29Speaker 2: Nick is supposed to have a press conference, Pelissero is
- 2:31Speaker 2: the one refuting his own report saying, oh, wait, I
- 2:34Speaker 2: spoke to Jalen Hurts' agent and it winds up he
- 2:37Speaker 2: was able to get some sleep while he's getting evaluated. Okay,
- 2:41Speaker 2: that's fine. Let's say Jalen Hurts got some sleep. I
- 2:44Speaker 2: think it does come down to an organizational decision. Is
- 2:47Speaker 2: this guy best prepared for with a blood clot and
- 2:50Speaker 2: a lack of sleep and a long flight back and
- 2:53Speaker 2: everything involved to be able to play this game. And
- 2:56Speaker 2: they made the decision that he was. And, you know,
- 2:59Speaker 2: now they have to live with those results, but I
- 3:02Speaker 2: will say this, Mike, and you might've been ready to
- 3:04Speaker 2: ask me this. I do interpret the fact that his agent,
- 3:07Speaker 2: Nicole Lynn, the fact that that statement, the original statement
- 3:11Speaker 2: by the Eagles was a joint statement by Nicole and
- 3:14Speaker 2: the Eagles. And that some reporting by Tom and others said,
- 3:18Speaker 2: directly quotes Nicole, that to me signals that Nicole is
- 3:22Speaker 2: not feuding with the Eagles, that there is not disharmony
- 3:26Speaker 2: between Jalen Hurts and the organization.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I was going to bring that up. The fact that
- 3:30Speaker 1: she spoke to Pellicero seems that she's on the same
- 3:35Speaker 1: page as the organization. Like they're saying, hey, this was
- 3:38Speaker 1: not being reported correctly. We don't want the Eagles to
- 3:41Speaker 1: look like they were that inept. Right. Right.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Yeah. It's almost as if Nicole originally told Tom Pellicero,
- 3:50Speaker 2: although I don't know if he quoted her specifically in
- 3:52Speaker 2: the first report, but Tom got the information from somebody
- 3:55Speaker 2: that Jalen wasn't sleeping.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Right.
- 3:58Speaker 2: And then magically the next tweet from with Nicole's being
- 4:02Speaker 2: cited is that, oh, wait, he actually did get some sleep.
- 4:05Speaker 2: So clearly the Eagles felt a certain way about the
- 4:08Speaker 2: first tweet that said that Jalen was basically operating on
- 4:11Speaker 2: no sleep. And then all of a sudden, the organization
- 4:14Speaker 2: and Nicole, Nicole comes out and says that that's not
- 4:18Speaker 2: exactly a hundred percent the case.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Yeah. Now listen, I don't want you to speculate or
- 4:22Speaker 1: anybody to have to speculate here, but I guess the
- 4:24Speaker 1: question would be, does the feeling here that hurts feels
- 4:28Speaker 1: that the team let him down? Do we feel like
- 4:30Speaker 1: that he would feel that way that, or is it
- 4:33Speaker 1: the other side where he didn't think it was that
- 4:36Speaker 1: big of a deal and really wanted to play? Yeah.
- 4:39Speaker 2: I mean, I, anything would just be speculation but i
- 4:43Speaker 2: did feel exactly no i did feel like yeah i
- 4:45Speaker 2: felt like in.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Other words when you look at his relationship with the
- 4:49Speaker 1: team after all this it's easy for some people to
- 4:51Speaker 1: say he would be infuriated with the team unless he's
- 4:57Speaker 1: not you know what i'm saying unless he's saying i'm
- 5:00Speaker 1: not that infuriated because i had a role in why all.
- 5:03Speaker 2: This happened yeah um That's a good question. I mean,
- 5:08Speaker 2: when I saw the first tweet, I thought that maybe
- 5:10Speaker 2: Hurts was infuriated, and that's why it was leaked that
- 5:12Speaker 2: he was not sleeping. When I saw the follow-up, I thought, okay,
- 5:15Speaker 2: you know, Hurts, and knowing how Hurts is wired, it
- 5:18Speaker 2: wouldn't surprise me if he said, hey, they cleared me
- 5:21Speaker 2: to play, I'm going to play. But that's, again, the
- 5:23Speaker 2: Army organization.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Exactly. But the first one, it's like he didn't sleep
- 5:26Speaker 1: for 34 hours. Like, if they were telling him, hey,
- 5:29Speaker 1: it's probably best that you don't sleep, at that point,
- 5:32Speaker 1: you say, well, then I'm not playing. Like.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Or the organization steps in and says, all right, Jalen,
- 5:40Speaker 2: we know you want to play. But, you know, this
- 5:43Speaker 2: is just this is an untenable situation.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Right.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I mean, yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Well, and then the fact that he came home. He
- 5:52Speaker 1: flew home. And then practice last week is almost another
- 5:56Speaker 1: bizarre aspect of this that I think it's lost in
- 5:59Speaker 1: the sauce a little bit because it just seemed like. hey,
- 6:02Speaker 1: he was on the injured list with a calf thing.
- 6:04Speaker 1: No one really talked about it. And then he said
- 6:05Speaker 1: he didn't want to get into it. And then he's practicing.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden on Thursday, he's out.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I mean, it seems like another just wild situation between
- 6:17Speaker 1: what happened in London to when he got home and
- 6:19Speaker 1: practiced for a day.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, he obviously wasn't feeling the impact of
- 6:24Speaker 2: the clots, nor did he realize on Wednesday when he
- 6:26Speaker 2: practiced that he had probably had multiple clots in his lungs.
- 6:30Speaker 2: But you know, I don't know much about clots other than,
- 6:33Speaker 2: you know, other athletes I know have dealt with them. Um,
- 6:36Speaker 2: some can be the superficial ones and, you know, even the,
- 6:39Speaker 2: even the really serious ones in your lungs that he
- 6:41Speaker 2: has now that pulmonary embolisms are, are treatable. But I
- 6:45Speaker 2: would just think that if you were dealing with clots
- 6:48Speaker 2: of any kind and you're a professional athlete, you shouldn't
- 6:51Speaker 2: be on the practice field until you get the results
- 6:56Speaker 2: of those, uh, MRIs or x-rays, not while you're waiting
- 7:00Speaker 2: for the results of MRIs or x-rays. But again, I
- 7:06Speaker 2: will be the first to say before we jump down
- 7:07Speaker 2: everybody's throat, the Eagles have an army of medical people
- 7:13Speaker 2: in their building, next to their building to consult with.
- 7:17Speaker 2: That part is not a lie. Every single day they
- 7:19Speaker 2: are discussing this with their medical people. It's not as
- 7:22Speaker 2: if the medical people didn't know that Hertz was on
- 7:25Speaker 2: the practice field. So if they're permitting it, then it's
- 7:29Speaker 2: sort of– I'm not going to just totally throw the
- 7:32Speaker 2: organization or Hertz under the bus. I just– I'm surprised.
- 7:36Speaker 1: That's all. Yeah. I would ask this question because the
- 7:41Speaker 1: Eagles– and you've covered this team just as long as
- 7:44Speaker 1: I've been around, if not longer. You and I have
- 7:47Speaker 1: been talking for years about this team. So you have
- 7:49Speaker 1: been around this organization for as long as I can remember.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 7:54Speaker 1: This is out of character for them like to have
- 7:56Speaker 1: a situation like this or no. Are you remembering bizarre
- 8:00Speaker 1: injury handlings?
- 8:03Speaker 2: No, it's not out of character. There have been some
- 8:07Speaker 2: bizarre injury handling. I don't know if you remember this. Well,
- 8:10Speaker 2: you might remember the incident of Mike Patterson collapsing into
- 8:13Speaker 2: a seizure in the middle of Lehigh training camp one day.
- 8:17Speaker 2: And then he got taken to the hospital. And a
- 8:19Speaker 2: few days later, he was diagnosed with something called brain AVM. Um,
- 8:24Speaker 2: now he had to miss that year. I believe he
- 8:26Speaker 2: came back and played the next year wound up being treatable,
- 8:29Speaker 2: but there was a, there was a sticky situation between
- 8:32Speaker 2: the money that he was owed and the money. Yeah,
- 8:36Speaker 2: it was a long time ago. Um, but like you said,
- 8:38Speaker 2: I'm old, so I can remember some of these things,
- 8:41Speaker 2: but his agent was so mad at the Eagles because
- 8:43Speaker 2: they weren't going to guarantee a, or give him a
- 8:46Speaker 2: certain amount of money at the time because, and then
- 8:48Speaker 2: he made a big stink about it. It can became public.
- 8:51Speaker 2: The Eagles reverse course, they gave him his money. Um,
- 8:54Speaker 2: But yeah, I would say they are few and far between.
- 8:57Speaker 2: But Mike, Chris Maragos, if I'm not mistaken, he successfully
- 9:02Speaker 2: sued the Eagles for something around $ 43 million for some
- 9:08Speaker 2: kind of malpractice suit. Now, that was as recent as what?
- 9:11Speaker 2: The Super Bowl. He was on the first Super Bowl team,
- 9:14Speaker 2: was he not?
- 9:15Speaker 1: 2017?
- 9:15Speaker 2: I believe so. So, you know, I know other or
- 9:21Speaker 2: I know other players have criticized some parts of the
- 9:24Speaker 2: Eagles medical operation, but Mike, they've changed their staff.
- 9:28Speaker 1: So many times. By the way, got $ 43 million in
- 9:32Speaker 1: damages on a negligence suit against doctors who treated him
- 9:37Speaker 1: in 2017.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Yeah, so there have been some incidents. There are few
- 9:41Speaker 2: and far between. I will say ever since they made
- 9:45Speaker 2: some changes going back to the beginning of the Nick
- 9:47Speaker 2: Sirianni era, they have had a very, very healthy roster
- 9:50Speaker 2: compared to everybody else in the NFL. So yeah, that's
- 9:54Speaker 2: start criticizing them right now, you know, would be a
- 9:56Speaker 2: sort of like, like a, that armchair quarterbacking, I guess,
- 10:00Speaker 2: you know?
- 10:00Speaker 1: All right. There is a lot that will probably still,
- 10:06Speaker 1: that still needs to be figured out and discussed when
- 10:09Speaker 1: it comes to Jalen hurts. And of course, everybody is
- 10:12Speaker 1: hoping that Jalen is okay. He will miss the season.
- 10:15Speaker 1: And that is inconsequential at this time. What is, We
- 10:20Speaker 1: would be talking a lot about the ineptitude of this
- 10:23Speaker 1: offense had this thing not been handled so poorly. But
- 10:26Speaker 1: let's get into that. How much of this offense now
- 10:30Speaker 1: is lack of talent versus lack of preparation, coordinator, coach, Sirianni,
- 10:38Speaker 1: whoever it is, in over their heads? Which factor is
- 10:41Speaker 1: bigger to you?
- 10:42Speaker 2: You know, every time I keep telling myself that you
- 10:45Speaker 2: have to look at their talent depravity right now because
- 10:50Speaker 2: of injuries, right? No, no Saquon, no tank, no jail
- 10:53Speaker 2: in no Landon Dickerson traded cam Juergens. Um, I always
- 10:59Speaker 2: default to that first, but that does let the coaching
- 11:02Speaker 2: off the hook and the decision to hire a novice
- 11:06Speaker 2: coach and, um, let him bring in a staff. And
- 11:11Speaker 2: I do think that a lot of the issues from
- 11:13Speaker 2: Sunday's game boil down to protection schemes and, because it's
- 11:18Speaker 2: clear for the last few weeks and certainly yesterday that
- 11:22Speaker 2: defenses are blitzing them in a certain way that they're
- 11:25Speaker 2: getting free rushers at the quarterback. And that is not
- 11:28Speaker 2: a talent issue. That's a, some of it is because,
- 11:31Speaker 2: you know, maybe more veteran offensive linemen can pick up
- 11:34Speaker 2: on some tendencies, but it's also a coaching and a
- 11:37Speaker 2: preparation issue. They're, You cannot absolve that part of it.
- 11:40Speaker 2: When we talk about the 49ers last year, we've talked about,
- 11:43Speaker 2: I talked about the Packers this year who have awful,
- 11:46Speaker 2: awful offensive line injuries and no run game. And yet
- 11:49Speaker 2: they're throwing the ball around on everybody the last few
- 11:52Speaker 2: weeks doing well. The Eagles look like a JV. They
- 11:54Speaker 2: don't even look like a JV offense. They look like
- 11:57Speaker 2: a middle school offense right now against an NFL defense
- 11:59Speaker 2: that Because they are not only just missing out on talent,
- 12:04Speaker 2: but they do look absolutely unprepared. You cannot have your
- 12:09Speaker 2: first play of a game be an 11-yard sack because
- 12:13Speaker 2: you have three guys blocking one and one guy blocking two.
- 12:17Speaker 2: That's unacceptable in any level. So I will not use
- 12:23Speaker 2: the injuries for that. Now, if you told me that
- 12:26Speaker 2: they're losing, like they still wouldn't have won even if
- 12:28Speaker 2: they had X, Y, and Z, I might agree with you.
- 12:32Speaker 1: That part is, Jeff, it's 1914. They get a 10-play
- 12:37Speaker 1: drive that results in a touchdown. They actually seemingly were like, okay,
- 12:41Speaker 1: maybe they're starting to get their sea legs on them,
- 12:44Speaker 1: and then they get a punt blocked. Right.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Just a perfect toxic storm of everything that can go
- 12:50Speaker 2: wrong will go wrong.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Right. And you know, I still want to look bad snap.
- 12:55Speaker 2: So that's a talent thing, right? You never see a bad.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Why do you think majors? Why was Kendall active in majors?
- 13:00Speaker 1: Was he just an emergency?
- 13:02Speaker 2: So I watched them warm up drew Kendall on the, uh,
- 13:06Speaker 2: right before the game, he was taking snaps. He was
- 13:08Speaker 2: kind of doing vertical sets, snaps, vertical set, snap set,
- 13:12Speaker 2: snap set, uh, with the medical staff, how he was there.
- 13:15Speaker 2: They were evaluating him. And, uh, I couldn't tell while
- 13:19Speaker 2: he was doing those if he was favoring or not,
- 13:22Speaker 2: but when he was done and he walked back to
- 13:25Speaker 2: the locker room, I watched very carefully. He looked to
- 13:28Speaker 2: me like he was still limping as he was walking. Now,
- 13:31Speaker 2: I don't know if that's because he just warmed up
- 13:32Speaker 2: and tested it out and it got aggravated or if
- 13:35Speaker 2: that's the way he's been ever since, but it looked
- 13:39Speaker 2: to me like it was going to be a rough
- 13:40Speaker 2: go for him to try to play.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I guess one would ask, I mean, the offensive line coach,
- 13:46Speaker 1: what role does he have in the ineptitude of this
- 13:48Speaker 1: offensive line? I get it. They're running with some backups here.
- 13:52Speaker 1: But as you just said, they get three guys blocking one, two.
- 13:54Speaker 1: I mean, what is his role in the reasoning of that?
- 13:59Speaker 2: If your protection schemes are constantly being exploited, and just
- 14:04Speaker 2: because you lose a rep doesn't mean that you're exploited.
- 14:07Speaker 2: To me, you're exploited when you have what we just
- 14:10Speaker 2: talked about, free rushers, because you have three guys blocking
- 14:14Speaker 2: two and one guy blocking two, or three guys blocking
- 14:17Speaker 2: two and one only getting two, accounting for two. You
- 14:20Speaker 2: can't have that. That's on your protection schemes. And if
- 14:23Speaker 2: you're that predictable, that on the first play that you run,
- 14:28Speaker 2: you're immediately exploited, that is on your offensive line coach.
- 14:31Speaker 2: And your staff for drawing up those kind of protections
- 14:35Speaker 2: and schemes. 100%.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Um, I, there's so much on the offense here that,
- 14:41Speaker 1: you know, Tanner McKee, I mean, it's hard to evaluate him.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I've never been the biggest McKee guy. They asked him
- 14:47Speaker 1: to throw 45 times. They don't run the ball at
- 14:49Speaker 1: all for the guy. His line stinks. I don't want
- 14:51Speaker 1: to really evaluate him. Um, but asking the guy to
- 14:54Speaker 1: throw 45 times, this is the third game he started
- 14:57Speaker 1: and all three of them, he's throwing the ball over
- 14:58Speaker 1: 40 times. I don't understand that game plan, but it's just,
- 15:03Speaker 1: just them saying we cannot run the ball. Yes.
- 15:06Speaker 2: And I'm not as upset about the 45 throws because
- 15:09Speaker 2: I would, you know, I haven't charted it. I would
- 15:12Speaker 2: have to say, I'm sure you watched the game eight
- 15:14Speaker 2: to 12 of those throws were really, really quick passes
- 15:17Speaker 2: to the flat that were supposed to be a or
- 15:21Speaker 2: sats run game in the absence of a run game.
- 15:23Speaker 2: You know, they're just going to try to like the
- 15:25Speaker 2: ultimate West coast. So they were going to try to
- 15:27Speaker 2: the past to set up the past. They're going to
- 15:29Speaker 2: try to throw it to the flats, try to get
- 15:31Speaker 2: two or three yards and, a pickup, and then hope
- 15:33Speaker 2: that you can get yourself a manageable second or third down. Unfortunately,
- 15:38Speaker 2: Carson Steele got hurt very early. So a guy that
- 15:41Speaker 2: you wouldn't mind throwing the ball to in the flat
- 15:43Speaker 2: a little bit more, we all saw what he could
- 15:45Speaker 2: do in the preseason, in terms of at least having
- 15:48Speaker 2: some juice and catching the ball, got hurt. So now
- 15:50Speaker 2: you're throwing the ball in the flat to Damian Pierce,
- 15:53Speaker 2: who is an inside between the tackles runner, and he's
- 15:56Speaker 2: not going to get you the yards you deserve, but
- 15:59Speaker 2: I am patently against running just to say you ran.
- 16:03Speaker 2: I am against the idea of running into a brick
- 16:05Speaker 2: wall just to say, hey, we tried to establish the run.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I don't blame them for at least trying to find
- 16:11Speaker 2: an alternative pathway to moving the chains.
- 16:15Speaker 1: They threw a pass to Carson Steele, and of course,
- 16:17Speaker 1: what happened to him? He got hurt.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I mentioned. This is the season from.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Hell, Mike. I'm sorry it is. Yeah, but who's left?
- 16:27Speaker 1: I mean, who's left to pass rush anymore? Which edge
- 16:29Speaker 1: rushers are still healthy bodies? I mean, they lost. Hunt
- 16:33Speaker 1: didn't play. Nolan went out. You were already shorthanded up
- 16:37Speaker 1: front there. You know, that situation. The running back, you know,
- 16:40Speaker 1: Steele's active. He goes down in the game yesterday. At
- 16:44Speaker 1: one point, Lemon was in the medical tent. Wicks hurts
- 16:47Speaker 1: his ankle. I mean, you just can't make some of
- 16:50Speaker 1: this stuff up. I'm sure I'm missing a few guys here.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Very surprised that Jaden Blue was– I mean, I wasn't
- 16:56Speaker 2: surprised he was activated. You need to have an insurance
- 16:59Speaker 2: running back. But despite whatever the knocks on him were,
- 17:03Speaker 2: he's explosive. There's no question that Jaden Blue is an
- 17:06Speaker 2: explosive running back. You're lacking in explosives. You can't block.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Could you give maybe a couple of carries to a
- 17:12Speaker 2: guy who might be able to make something out of nothing?
- 17:15Speaker 2: That was a very interesting coaching decision, I thought, especially
- 17:19Speaker 2: after Carson Seale wound up getting hurt and you were
- 17:21Speaker 2: down to just Damian Pierce.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, you know, I agree with you. I'm
- 17:29Speaker 1: not running the ball just to run the ball, but
- 17:30Speaker 1: at some point, you know, they're just, they're not, they're
- 17:33Speaker 1: three and out, you're three and out, you're three and out.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Like what I'm doing is not working either. Right. Right.
- 17:39Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure if they had ran the ball 35 times,
- 17:42Speaker 2: we'd have been like, what in the world were they
- 17:43Speaker 2: thinking running the ball 35 times?
- 17:45Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, we'll see.
- 17:48Speaker 2: 33 yards.
- 17:49Speaker 1: We'll see Wednesday if, you know, Barkley possibly comes back.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I don't know what that does for them. Smith, obviously,
- 17:56Speaker 1: back out there yesterday. And he seemed like he was
- 17:58Speaker 1: kind of limited. He left the game at one point.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Then he came back. This is going to be a long.
- 18:02Speaker 1: This might be historically the worst offense you'll ever see.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Um, I am old enough since we've been talking about this.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Thanks for, for talking about my age here on this, but, uh,
- 18:13Speaker 2: I still remember 2005, uh, the post Superbowl year with
- 18:17Speaker 2: Mike McMahon, Ryan Motes as the running back. They had
- 18:21Speaker 2: about two or three backup. In fact, that was Harriman's
- 18:24Speaker 2: first year playing. He wasn't bad, but I mean, they
- 18:26Speaker 2: were supposed to have Trey and, uh, Sean Andrews. I,
- 18:29Speaker 2: I forget who it was, but, uh, the bottom line
- 18:31Speaker 2: is that was pretty good. No T.O.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Right.
- 18:34Speaker 2: He gets kicked off the team. Um, And so you're
- 18:36Speaker 2: playing like Reggie Brown and like Billy McMullen, maybe. Yeah,
- 18:41Speaker 2: it's just a bad, bad year, you know, but I
- 18:44Speaker 2: rivaling that.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I had a guy I had a guy come up
- 18:49Speaker 1: to me the other night and say, I remember meeting
- 18:53Speaker 1: you and Jeff Mosher at the ego bar.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Oh, my God. I was actually thinking about that the
- 18:58Speaker 2: other day. How long we've been doing shows together. And
- 19:00Speaker 2: it's been quite a while.
- 19:02Speaker 1: So apparently the guy who he was telling me about,
- 19:07Speaker 1: you remember we did an interview one time. I'm pretty
- 19:09Speaker 1: sure you were there. It was like a Mosher Monday.
- 19:12Speaker 1: And they had this group called the Omos Angels.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Yes. I do remember the Omos Angels.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Yeah. So we had interviewed the girls were performing there
- 19:22Speaker 1: at the Ego Bar at like halftime or before the
- 19:26Speaker 1: football games on Monday nights. And apparently this guy had
- 19:30Speaker 1: married one of those girls that was like in the group.
- 19:34Speaker 1: And he was like, you remember the band? And I'm like, yeah,
- 19:37Speaker 1: we used to do Mondays there every Monday for a while.
- 19:40Speaker 1: We created the Mosher Monday, which we're still doing here
- 19:43Speaker 1: with Jeff Mosher from the Inside the Birds podcast, phillyvoice.com.
- 19:47Speaker 1: A bizarre day. for the Eagles where they lose embarrassingly
- 19:52Speaker 1: effort by their offense, but that is even trumped by
- 19:55Speaker 1: the fact that they have handled this Jalen Hurts situation
- 19:58Speaker 1: pretty poorly. And I'm wondering if they put somebody else
- 20:02Speaker 1: out there to talk about this moving forward here, because
- 20:06Speaker 1: Nick Sirianni did not handle this very well today.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I'm going to go ahead and tell you that there's
- 20:11Speaker 2: not going to be anybody else for the microphone.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I agree. I agree. All right, we'll talk to Mosher
- 20:16Speaker 1: on Wednesday here on Football at Four. Thanks, man.
