- 8:54Speaker 2: today is the magazine. I I got to go back
- 9:01Speaker 2: to the magazine so I can shout out those that
- 9:05Speaker 2: are a part of the magazine. Patrice has been with
- 9:09Speaker 2: me for six years. She has been with me since
- 9:11Speaker 2: I started the magazine. I aksed her when she come
- 9:14Speaker 2: and and and lead the book review section, to the
- 9:19Speaker 2: lead the the author section, and y'all, when I tell you,
- 9:25Speaker 2: she took it on and she made it her own.
- 9:28Speaker 2: She introduced the world to her brand, which is South
- 9:31Speaker 2: Carolina Book Gal and Friends. Y'all, I tell you I
- 9:35Speaker 2: have truly enjoyed working with her over these last six years.
- 9:39Speaker 2: And I tell you if you have not connected with her,
- 9:42Speaker 2: you're missing out on a opportunity to allow your brand
- 9:45Speaker 2: to be heard and seen around the world. Because she
- 9:48Speaker 2: is also one of the hosts over on the podcast,
- 9:51Speaker 2: so you get an opportunity to not just be in
- 9:54Speaker 2: the book in the magazine, featured in the magazine. Have
- 9:56Speaker 2: your book in the magazine, but you also get a
- 9:59Speaker 2: chance to be on a website or blog, and you
- 10:02Speaker 2: get to be on her podcast. Y'all. I'm telling you,
- 10:05Speaker 2: it's an amazing opportunity. And with her expertise, y'all, she
- 10:09Speaker 2: has twenty years of service with the Charleston County Library.
- 10:15Speaker 2: So when I tell you, she knows what she's doing
- 10:19Speaker 2: and she can give you some valuable tips and some
- 10:24Speaker 2: valuable insight. So if you're not connected with her, you
- 10:29Speaker 2: definitely want to get connected with her. She does some
- 10:32Speaker 2: amazing work. Right now, she is preparing for the fifty
- 10:40Speaker 2: well it's gonna be fifty five. It's the fifty states
- 10:43Speaker 2: in the five Territories. It's represent your state magazine. It's
- 10:48Speaker 2: a special audition that we've been doing for about four years.
- 10:52Speaker 2: She is in charge of that. So if you want
- 10:55Speaker 2: to wrap your state, if it has not already been taken,
- 10:58Speaker 2: I encourage you to to get connected with her so
- 11:01Speaker 2: that you can feature your state inside of the magazine.
- 11:06Speaker 2: She has taken over that, and I tell you she
- 11:09Speaker 2: has been doing an amazing job at that. I I'm
- 11:11Speaker 2: I'm excited. If you have not connected with her, I
- 11:14Speaker 2: can't tell you enough how you were missing out on
- 11:19Speaker 2: an amazing When I tell you she is definitely a
- 11:21Speaker 2: literary agent and definitely knows what she's doing, you definitely
- 11:25Speaker 2: wanna connect with her, y'all. I got a list of
- 11:29Speaker 2: things that we're gonna be talking about on today. I'm
- 11:31Speaker 2: just gonna be flipping through these slides and just talking
- 11:35Speaker 2: about these slides today, y'all.
- 11:37Speaker 1: We have.
- 11:41Speaker 2: And that is before I move on to the next slide. So,
- 11:46Speaker 2: Patrice has been with me for six years. Apostle Kimberly
- 11:50Speaker 2: and Charlotte Simon they have been with me for three
- 11:54Speaker 2: going on four years. I think maybe four years going
- 11:58Speaker 2: on five years, cause I I can't remember. We've been
- 12:01Speaker 2: working together so long. Now, Keisha is our new Poet
- 12:07Speaker 2: of the Year for twenty twenty six twenty twenty seven season.
- 12:12Speaker 2: So she is our latest addition to the magazine. If
- 12:15Speaker 2: y'all don't know, every year we select a new poet
- 12:21Speaker 2: and we give that poet an opportunity to write for
- 12:25Speaker 2: the poetry section of the magazine that is a four
- 12:28Speaker 2: page spread. They get to utilize that to not just
- 12:33Speaker 2: promote their brand, but they get to promote other authors
- 12:36Speaker 2: and promote authors not authors other poets and poet events
- 12:42Speaker 2: and different things around poetry. It is all things poetry.
- 12:46Speaker 2: So if you are a poet, I definitely think this
- 12:51Speaker 2: is an opportunity to connect and to share your brand.
- 12:55Speaker 2: She is also in charge of our poetry group over
- 13:00Speaker 2: on Facebook. If you are on Facebook, we have a
- 13:04Speaker 2: poetry group called the Poetic Lounge, and we just we
- 13:10Speaker 2: share poetry, we share events, we share everything around poetry.
- 13:15Speaker 2: So I definitely if you are a poet or aspiring poet,
- 13:19Speaker 2: whatever you walk in in poetry, definitely that is an
- 13:24Speaker 2: opportunity to connect, to get heard and get seen. So
- 13:27Speaker 2: definitely want you to connect with Keisha Johnson mcray. So
- 13:35Speaker 2: y'all know, we have been doing the billboard and my
- 13:40Speaker 2: bestie there she is Patrice Grimball, South Carolina Book Gap.
- 13:44Speaker 2: She has partnered with me, So we are definitely trying
- 13:50Speaker 2: to get authors and those brands a part of what
- 13:56Speaker 2: we do out there. And and every first and third
- 14:02Speaker 2: Saturday we are securing a billboard and we are showcasing
- 14:09Speaker 2: twelve book covers. I know a lot of people say,
- 14:14Speaker 2: is that the only thing you'll showcasing right now? That
- 14:17Speaker 2: is our focus for the month of June because that
- 14:21Speaker 2: is our Men's History Month. We are going a little
- 14:25Speaker 2: further and I'm gonna talk about that a little later on,
- 14:29Speaker 2: But we have an opportunity to utilize resources and to
- 14:33Speaker 2: utilize those things that are in front of us. So
- 14:37Speaker 2: every first and third Saturday, and if the interest increased,
- 14:42Speaker 2: then we may consider doing every Saturday. As long as
- 14:47Speaker 2: there is a interest, we will put it out there.
- 14:50Speaker 2: But what we want to do is provide opportunity for
- 14:54Speaker 2: those because we know that New York Times Square is
- 14:57Speaker 2: a busy place. There's tourists that come from all over
- 15:01Speaker 2: the world. There's thousands and thousands and thousands of people
- 15:05Speaker 2: that pass through there. So your book cover would have
- 15:09Speaker 2: an opportunity to be up on the big screen to
- 15:12Speaker 2: be seen. What happens is it flashes up on the
- 15:16Speaker 2: screen every hour on the hour. They would give us
- 15:20Speaker 2: a set time. I will let you guys know what
- 15:24Speaker 2: that time is, and every hour on the hour, you
- 15:29Speaker 2: you would see our billboard flash across that screen and
- 15:33Speaker 2: it would stay up for about fifteen seconds. And you
- 15:38Speaker 2: get an opportunity to not just be on the billboard,
- 15:41Speaker 2: but you get featured on our substat block as well
- 15:46Speaker 2: as our block spot block. So you get, the author
- 15:51Speaker 2: gets a feature as well as a little bit of
- 15:54Speaker 2: information about your book, and then there's a snippet a audience,
- 16:00Speaker 2: your snippet of your feature that is aired on iHeart, Spotify,
- 16:07Speaker 2: Amazon Music, all of the platforms that we utilize here
- 16:12Speaker 2: with the Crew Podcast. So everywhere that you can hear
- 16:16Speaker 2: the Crew Podcast, you will be able to hear those
- 16:18Speaker 2: snippets from those that are being featured on the Billboard.
- 16:24Speaker 2: So it's just an opportunity to really get your brand
- 16:27Speaker 2: out there. And then y'all get to utilize these resources,
- 16:31Speaker 2: so you get links to your blogs that you can
- 16:33Speaker 2: share out. And then not only that you get to
- 16:36Speaker 2: add these things to your resume, you get to add
- 16:39Speaker 2: them to your author sheet. You get to tell people that, hey,
- 16:42Speaker 2: I was featured on the New York Times Square billboard,
- 16:46Speaker 2: I was featured on Aspiring Author's magazine block. And then
- 16:50Speaker 2: we also go as far as giving you a certificate.
- 16:54Speaker 2: We have made a logo that says that I have
- 16:58Speaker 2: been seen on New York Times Square. No one else
- 17:02Speaker 2: is doing that, so you won't see these little stickers.
- 17:06Speaker 2: You're probably gonna see it now because we are doing it,
- 17:09Speaker 2: and we have been the first one. I don't see
- 17:12Speaker 2: nobody else walking around with New York Times Square. I
- 17:16Speaker 2: have been seen on New York Times Square stickers, So
- 17:20Speaker 2: we are utilizing that. Y'all can even put it on
- 17:25Speaker 2: if you want to put it on your promotions. You
- 17:27Speaker 2: can put it on your promotions. You can put it
- 17:29Speaker 2: on the little sticker on different things. And I'm gonna
- 17:34Speaker 2: post that sticker so you guys can see what that
- 17:36Speaker 2: sticker looks like. But it's an opportunity for you to
- 17:40Speaker 2: really utilize this as a marketing and advertising opportunity where
- 17:48Speaker 2: you can show people. And then this helped you to
- 17:51Speaker 2: gun a sponsorships and to gun a different things because
- 17:53Speaker 2: when people see that you are being visible, that you're
- 17:56Speaker 2: getting out there, that you are showing yourself, that you're
- 17:59Speaker 2: not just posting them Facebook groups, you're not just posting
- 18:02Speaker 2: on TikTok and Instagram, but you're putting yourself out there
- 18:07Speaker 2: for other people to see because y'all, all kind of
- 18:09Speaker 2: people come through New York Times Square, so ain't no
- 18:14Speaker 2: telling who may see you. And then once the billboard
- 18:18Speaker 2: is down, you your book cover as well as the
- 18:23Speaker 2: link to purchase your book is placed on South Carolina
- 18:27Speaker 2: book Gal's website, so you can go over. Anybody that
- 18:32Speaker 2: saw you on the billboard and got that link, they
- 18:35Speaker 2: can go over and they can purchase your book through
- 18:39Speaker 2: South Carolina book Gal platform. So it is an opportunity
- 18:44Speaker 2: to really share your brand. Y'all utilize these opportunities. Don't
- 18:48Speaker 2: let these opportunities just pass you by. And I'm telling you,
- 18:52Speaker 2: you're gonna have some people out here that's gonna try
- 18:54Speaker 2: to gonna try to rob your pockets to tell you
- 18:58Speaker 2: that you gotta pay this to get on the bill boy,
- 19:00Speaker 2: you gotta pay this to get on the billboard. I'm
- 19:01Speaker 2: gonna tell you I'm not trying to fatten my pockets.
- 19:07Speaker 2: I'm trying to provide an opportunity. I believe in being
- 19:14Speaker 2: a blessing.
- 19:15Speaker 1: You know.
- 19:15Speaker 2: One of my one of my daily prayers is that,
- 19:19Speaker 2: you know, I want God to bless me so that
- 19:21Speaker 2: I can be a blessing to others. You know, that's
- 19:24Speaker 2: what I desire. You know, a lot of people they
- 19:28Speaker 2: get on me because I do. I do a lot
- 19:32Speaker 2: of things at a cheaper rate because I believe in
- 19:36Speaker 2: providing an opportunity. You know, there have been several times
- 19:39Speaker 2: where I've asked people how to do this and how
- 19:42Speaker 2: to do that, and they have given me the run around.
- 19:45Speaker 2: They have wanted to charge me an arm and a leg,
- 19:48Speaker 2: and I just truly don't believe in that. You know,
- 19:50Speaker 2: when God lay things in my spirit, God for those
- 19:53Speaker 2: that follow me, and know when God lay things in
- 19:56Speaker 2: my spirit. I try to be obedient. I try to
- 19:59Speaker 2: operate and the things that He has called me to do,
- 20:02Speaker 2: and I try to do it in excellence, and I
- 20:04Speaker 2: try to do it accordingly to how He tell me
- 20:08Speaker 2: to do it. So you won't see me out here
- 20:11Speaker 2: with these lavishing prices, haitien it. You won't see me
- 20:15Speaker 2: out here charging the arm and the leg, asking for
- 20:18Speaker 2: your first born, asking for no whole lot of money
- 20:22Speaker 2: to do anything. I do think that the investments that
- 20:27Speaker 2: I offer it's well worth the services that I offer.
- 20:31Speaker 2: You know, again, I'm not trying to break the bank,
- 20:36Speaker 2: but I want to be able to provide an outlet
- 20:39Speaker 2: and an opportunity for those that are trying to grow
- 20:42Speaker 2: their brand and those that are trying to get out
- 20:45Speaker 2: there and be seen. We have the magazine, we have
- 20:49Speaker 2: the podcast, We now have the billboard, We have South
- 20:54Speaker 2: Carolina book gal. If you need a book review, a
- 20:59Speaker 2: professional book review I'm telling you Patrise is where is that.
- 21:04Speaker 2: If you are someone that loves to read and want
- 21:10Speaker 2: to join her book review team, I encourage you to
- 21:14Speaker 2: reach out to her because she has some opportunities for
- 21:18Speaker 2: you to join her book review team and be a
- 21:21Speaker 2: part of what she's doing with South Carolina Book Gap
- 21:25Speaker 2: as well as the magazine and her podcast. So if
- 21:31Speaker 2: you are a lover of books and want to be
- 21:35Speaker 2: a part of the book review team, please reach out
- 21:39Speaker 2: to Patrice connect with her. If you want her contact information,
- 21:43Speaker 2: you always can reach out to me or if you
- 21:46Speaker 2: on Facebook, you can go to South Carolina book Gas,
- 21:48Speaker 2: send her a direct message and connect with her. But
- 21:53Speaker 2: she is my partner in crime right now with the billboards,
- 21:58Speaker 2: So again every first and third Saturday, you have the
- 22:02Speaker 2: opportunity to allow your brand, your book brand to be
- 22:07Speaker 2: seen on the billboard. Those that have been a part we.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Have a.
- 22:13Speaker 2: A page that we stay connected through. It is my
- 22:18Speaker 2: book cover has been seen in New York Times Square,
- 22:22Speaker 2: and we share, we share resources, we connect and we
- 22:26Speaker 2: try to uplift each other. We try to encourage each other,
- 22:30Speaker 2: and who knows what these different relationships can lead to.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Y'all know. I love doing anthologies. So it's an opportunity
- 22:39Speaker 2: that you can connect with other like minded people, and
- 22:42Speaker 2: you can connect your expertise and allow the things that
- 22:47Speaker 2: you do and the things that you're passionate about to
- 22:51Speaker 2: come forth to Because I just don't think about myself
- 22:54Speaker 2: my gifts and my talents. I like to bring forth
- 22:57Speaker 2: everybody gifts and talents so that we can see how
- 23:00Speaker 2: we can work together, because that's what we're supposed to do.
- 23:03Speaker 2: We're supposed to be healthmakes one to another, and that's
- 23:06Speaker 2: what I do. I try to lead by example, y'all.
- 23:09Speaker 2: I try to lead by example. So next y'all are
- 23:13Speaker 2: gonna see it's gonna just flash by. Don't miss that, y'all.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Excuse me. I have to give a shout out to Keisha,
- 24:02Speaker 2: who is the newest member of the magazine. She has
- 24:07Speaker 2: come up with an amazing idea to have ambassadors for
- 24:10Speaker 2: the magazine to help push the magazine. She called me
- 24:13Speaker 2: she was like, oh my god, she said, I love
- 24:15Speaker 2: this magazine. She was like, it is beautiful. She said,
- 24:18Speaker 2: Oh my god, she said, and I just wanna I
- 24:21Speaker 2: I want to help promote it. So we are calling
- 24:26Speaker 2: for ambassadors that would help promote the magazine, that will
- 24:31Speaker 2: help get the magazine out there, share the magazine, and
- 24:35Speaker 2: there's opportunities where you can also be featured, opportunities where
- 24:41Speaker 2: you can promote opportunities. Trust and believe, if you do
- 24:46Speaker 2: anything for me, there's always some type of reward or
- 24:51Speaker 2: some type of incentive. I don't think that people should
- 24:54Speaker 2: do things all the time for free. It's okay to
- 24:57Speaker 2: volunteer your services, it's okay to get yeh sometime, but
- 25:03Speaker 2: I I think you should be rewarded for the things
- 25:05Speaker 2: that you do, especially when you're doing it from your
- 25:09Speaker 2: heart and you're doing it in excellence. So, y'all, we
- 25:12Speaker 2: are calling for ambassadors. Keisha is gonna be our lead ambassadors.
- 25:17Speaker 2: So if you want to be a part of the
- 25:20Speaker 2: ambassador team, please reach out to myself or Keisha and
- 25:25Speaker 2: see how you can get involved, see how you can connect.
- 25:30Speaker 2: And we're just gonna go forth spreading this magazine, getting
- 25:36Speaker 2: this magazine out there, getting it in the hands of
- 25:39Speaker 2: those that needed to be encouraged, y'all, because when I
- 25:43Speaker 2: tell you, we it's not just about authors. We talk
- 25:46Speaker 2: about things that affect our community. We talk about different
- 25:52Speaker 2: things like this month, I think I I talked about
- 25:56Speaker 2: sexual assault because this is sexual Assault Awareness month. The
- 25:59Speaker 2: month of April autisms different things that affect our community.
- 26:06Speaker 2: So every month there's awarenesses. So for whatever month it
- 26:12Speaker 2: is and whatever the awareness is for that month, we
- 26:14Speaker 2: try to highlight that. We talk about social injustice. We
- 26:18Speaker 2: have a Free Texas campaign section inside. It's not just
- 26:22Speaker 2: about all things Texas. We talk about different things. We
- 26:26Speaker 2: talk about anything about social injustice. So if you have
- 26:32Speaker 2: if you know someone that has been wrongfully overly incarcerated
- 26:36Speaker 2: and you may want to share their story, you can
- 26:39Speaker 2: share that inside of the magazine, y'all. When I tell
- 26:42Speaker 2: you it, it's about our people and bringing information to
- 26:46Speaker 2: the forefront. The business section, it's all about things around
- 26:52Speaker 2: being a author, being an entrepreneur, and a creative. So
- 26:57Speaker 2: it's all things about that this month month of April,
- 27:01Speaker 2: and I keep saying this month and we're in a
- 27:03Speaker 2: new month. But for the month of April, I talked
- 27:06Speaker 2: about taxes. I talked about being an author, and that
- 27:12Speaker 2: being a business colled. We know that it's called entrepreneurship.
- 27:17Speaker 2: So there's a lot of things that we talk about.
- 27:20Speaker 2: I talk about different ways to make additional income, y'all,
- 27:26Speaker 2: anything that you can think about in the business realm
- 27:29Speaker 2: of being an author or creative, we try to share
- 27:33Speaker 2: that in the business section. We also have the poetry section,
- 27:37Speaker 2: which Keisha is over the poetry section, she highlight different poets,
- 27:42Speaker 2: She highlight a little bit about whatever she wants to
- 27:50Speaker 2: highlight about poetry, so she have an opportunity to share
- 27:55Speaker 2: every month. Sometimes she may want to interview in the
- 27:58Speaker 2: individual poets and different people uh about poetry. We also
- 28:07Speaker 2: again the next slide is some of the authors that
- 28:14Speaker 2: will well, they're book covers that will be on the
- 28:17Speaker 2: billboard on May the sixteenth. We were supposed to have
- 28:23Speaker 2: a billboard up tomorrow, but we didn't have enough people
- 28:28Speaker 2: to participate, so we're not gonna have a billboard up tomorrow,
- 28:33Speaker 2: but we will be back on the sixteenth and these
- 28:37Speaker 2: amazing book covers will be up on that billboard. They
- 28:41Speaker 2: will be up on that billboard. I'm excited, y'all. I'm
- 28:45Speaker 2: excited because the month of June, y'all. The month of
- 28:49Speaker 2: June is very very near and dear to my heart
- 28:52Speaker 2: because it is a month that we celebrate our kings,
- 28:56Speaker 2: we celebrate our men for so long no one celebrates them.
- 29:07Speaker 2: We we we look at all of the different celebrations
- 29:12Speaker 2: that they have. We know, they have International Women's History Month,
- 29:16Speaker 2: they have Black History Month, they have Hispanic this and
- 29:24Speaker 2: Asian disc and every other thing. But the only thing
- 29:30Speaker 2: that they celebrate is one day for our men. One
- 29:33Speaker 2: day and that is the that that is Father's Day.
- 29:39Speaker 2: But y'all, every man is not a father. So about
- 29:45Speaker 2: five years ago now, we started celebrating June as our
- 29:49Speaker 2: Men's History Month. Here it aspired Arson's Magazine. So these
- 29:54Speaker 2: little boxes that you see over here, these are gonna
- 29:58Speaker 2: be filled with men that are doing amazing things within
- 30:02Speaker 2: our community. So if you are a business owner, if
- 30:06Speaker 2: you're in ministry, if you are a activist, if you're
- 30:11Speaker 2: doing something out in the community, we're gonna take two
- 30:14Speaker 2: weeks out of the month of June and celebrate you.
- 30:18Speaker 2: So I think it is. Let me see, y'all. Let
- 30:20Speaker 2: me make sure I got the right dates. Let me
- 30:22Speaker 2: make sure I got the right dates. I like to
- 30:23Speaker 2: make sure I'm giving the right information. So June sixth
- 30:31Speaker 2: and June twentieth, y'all, we're gonna be celebrating ministers, community leaders, entrepreneurs,
- 30:42Speaker 2: anyone that falls in that category for our men, and y'all,
- 30:46Speaker 2: the month of June is for men only. We're gonna
- 30:50Speaker 2: fill New York Times Square every Saturday with our men.
- 30:55Speaker 2: So if you know a man, I want you to
- 30:57Speaker 2: tag them when I post about our men stuff. Make
- 31:01Speaker 2: sure that you are you you you, You come over
- 31:04Speaker 2: there and you tag a man when you see this
- 31:07Speaker 2: flyer on my page, make sure you're tagging a man
- 31:12Speaker 2: because these they're they're ministry leaders and all of those
- 31:15Speaker 2: they have an opportunity to showcase they brand. But we
- 31:19Speaker 2: didn't forget about the male authors. We want the male
- 31:22Speaker 2: authors too, and we have a space for them. We're
- 31:25Speaker 2: gonna be highlighting them and sharing them as well. We
- 31:29Speaker 2: gonna take the thirteenth in the twenty seventh. So these
- 31:35Speaker 2: are this is what those billboards are gonna look like
- 31:40Speaker 2: in real time, up on that billboard up on Times Square.
- 31:48Speaker 2: This is what it's gonna look like, y'all. So the
- 31:52Speaker 2: twenty seventh we are highlighting twelve men male authors. So
- 31:59Speaker 2: if you know a male author, I encourage you to
- 32:02Speaker 2: invite them to be a part of the billboard. Y'all.
- 32:06Speaker 2: I'm telling you, Jack fifty dollars is well invested because
- 32:09Speaker 2: you get to be on the billboard for twenty four hours.
- 32:12Speaker 2: You get to be seen by thousands of people that's
- 32:16Speaker 2: passing through New York Times Square. Not only that, you
- 32:20Speaker 2: get to be featured on Aspiring Authors magazine Blobs. Y'all.
- 32:26Speaker 2: We have two blobs, one on Substack and one on
- 32:31Speaker 2: blocks block Spot, which is through Google, So you get
- 32:37Speaker 2: to be featured on those blocks as well as your
- 32:42Speaker 2: book cover will be featured on South Carolina Bookgal dot com.
- 32:47Speaker 2: See at the bottom of the screen, you see that
- 32:49Speaker 2: banner that says visit South Carolina Bookgal and friends dot
- 32:53Speaker 2: com to purchase. They gonna get to go over see
- 32:56Speaker 2: your book cover and purchase through your link that you
- 32:59Speaker 2: share with us. And then not only that, y'all, you
- 33:01Speaker 2: may get an opportunity to connect with Patrice and be
- 33:07Speaker 2: featured on in the magazine because like I said, she y'all,
- 33:11Speaker 2: she's in charge of the inside of the magazine for
- 33:15Speaker 2: the book section. And then y'all, she also have a
- 33:19Speaker 2: podcast where she highlights authors every single Tuesday. So you
- 33:25Speaker 2: get you get connected, you get connections, and then again
- 33:29Speaker 2: you get to connect with all those that are part
- 33:32Speaker 2: of the Billboard. So every we gotta I'm trying to
- 33:39Speaker 2: think is it a group. I think it's a group,
- 33:42Speaker 2: and then it may be a page. But however it is,
- 33:45Speaker 2: you get to be a part of that. I invite
- 33:47Speaker 2: you over, you get to post, you get to connect
- 33:51Speaker 2: with those authors, and then we have a chat for
- 33:55Speaker 2: that time so we can talk about things leading up
- 33:59Speaker 2: to you being on the billboard. So y'all, when I
- 34:03Speaker 2: tell you it's an amazing opportunity to connect and amazing
- 34:07Speaker 2: opportunity to share, you definitely want to connect. Okay, Schnette,
- 34:20Speaker 2: just let me know. We definitely can get that done.
- 34:25Speaker 2: We we definitely can get that done. Just let me
- 34:27Speaker 2: know when you wanna do it, and we can get
- 34:30Speaker 2: that up and we can get that we can get
- 34:33Speaker 2: that up that that would be great. I I'm tryna
- 34:37Speaker 2: utilize the billboard for whatever we can utilize it for
- 34:42Speaker 2: to bring awareness to those that support the things that
- 34:46Speaker 2: we do. So yes, definitely we can do that. So y'all,
- 34:51Speaker 2: when y'all see these flyers, make sure that you are
- 34:54Speaker 2: tagging men because we're gonna try to take over New
- 34:59Speaker 2: York Times Square in the month of June and flooded
- 35:03Speaker 2: with our males, because y'all, we know what society has
- 35:06Speaker 2: done to our men and how they have not set
- 35:10Speaker 2: our men up to to to to to to prosper,
- 35:16Speaker 2: but they have painted these narratives and they have done
- 35:20Speaker 2: so much to make our men feel like they're not
- 35:26Speaker 2: worthy and that we don't care about them.
- 35:29Speaker 1: But we do.
- 35:32Speaker 2: I am my brother's keeper, and we see how society
- 35:37Speaker 2: has failed. But I want them to know that we
- 35:40Speaker 2: are here and we are cheering for you, and we
- 35:43Speaker 2: want the best for you. So this is how I
- 35:47Speaker 2: want to show them that we are here to support them.
- 35:52Speaker 2: So y'all share this when you see it out. Share
- 35:55Speaker 2: it when you see it out, y'all. I know I
- 35:58Speaker 2: said I was gonna do another portry book, but y'all, no,
- 36:04Speaker 2: I can't help it. You are missing out on a
- 38:04Speaker 2: a amazing opportunity to to share. So if you are
- 38:10Speaker 2: a poet, I tell y'all, I'm gonna make my screen
- 38:14Speaker 2: bigger so y'all can see this book every time Jason
- 38:19Speaker 2: posts something. Every time Jason post something, y'all, I I
- 38:24Speaker 2: I try to be a part of it. He is
- 38:26Speaker 2: the visionary of poetry and motion. I have had the
- 38:31Speaker 2: opportunity to be a part of several of his anthology
- 38:36Speaker 2: and this is the latest project. I think I have
- 38:39Speaker 2: signed up to be a part of a couple of
- 38:42Speaker 2: more projects. I signed up to be a part of
- 38:44Speaker 2: the Women's Project, the Men, the Father's Day Project, y'all.
- 38:48Speaker 2: I have been sharing it with you guys. So if
- 38:52Speaker 2: you have been across my page, y'all, when these opportunities
- 38:55Speaker 2: come up, y'all take advantage of 'em. They're free. It's
- 38:57Speaker 2: an opportunity to connect with some more people. It's an
- 39:00Speaker 2: opportunity for you to allow your voice to be heard,
- 39:05Speaker 2: and it's an opportunity to be seen. So y'all take
- 39:08Speaker 2: advantage of these opportunities, take advantage of them, utilize them.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Allow your brand to get out there, y'all, because if
- 39:18Speaker 2: you don't put yourself out there, guess what, you ain't
- 39:21Speaker 2: gonna get out there. You ain't gonna get out there.
- 39:24Speaker 2: So push yourself outside of your box. Step outside your circle, y'all.
- 39:30Speaker 2: I am doing that this year, twenty twenty six. I
- 39:33Speaker 2: am stepping outside of my circle. I am coming from
- 39:37Speaker 2: behind y'all. Know, y'all see me behind the scene a lot,
- 39:40Speaker 2: but I am coming from behind the scenes a little more.
- 39:45Speaker 2: In twenty twenty six, I am branching now. I am
- 39:48Speaker 2: gonna be speaking at some events. I'm gonna be a
- 39:50Speaker 2: part of some summits that's coming up. I'm gonna be
- 39:53Speaker 2: sharing my testimony. So there's gonna be a lot of
- 39:57Speaker 2: different things that I'm gonna be outside at the box.
- 40:00Speaker 2: So I challenge you to do the same. I challenge
- 40:03Speaker 2: you to do the same. So again, I want you
- 40:09Speaker 2: guys to take advantage of these opportunities when they come forth,
- 40:14Speaker 2: take advantage of them. If there's anything that I have
- 40:18Speaker 2: shared on here today that you may not have gotten
- 40:21Speaker 2: all of the details, or you want to ask some questions,
- 40:24Speaker 2: y'all know, I am a open book. I am an
- 40:28Speaker 2: open book. You can call me. I'm not too busy
- 40:32Speaker 2: that i can't have a conversation with you. I'm not
- 40:34Speaker 2: too busy that we can't sit down and have a conversation.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Or if we can have a meeting, we can have
- 40:43Speaker 2: a meeting. However, I am just here to help cist.
- 40:48Speaker 2: I'm a servant leader and I'm here to serve. That
- 40:52Speaker 2: is what God has called me to and that's what
- 40:55Speaker 2: I'm here to do. So if there's anything that you
- 40:58Speaker 2: guys have heard throughout this broadcast today and you want
- 41:02Speaker 2: more questions. You you got questions and you wanna aks,
- 41:05Speaker 2: please feel free to reach out. I am also a
- 41:11Speaker 2: self publishing coach. I help those that want to self publish.
- 41:17Speaker 2: I can do it in one of two ways. I
- 41:20Speaker 2: can work with you for ninety days. That is definitely
- 41:24Speaker 2: a fee for that, and the fee is only five
- 41:28Speaker 2: hundred dollars. And I will work with you for ninety
- 41:31Speaker 2: days and I would share with you from start to
- 41:33Speaker 2: finish the process that I use to self publish. I
- 41:38Speaker 2: can't tell you what other people do, but I can
- 41:41Speaker 2: tell you what I have done that allows me to
- 41:44Speaker 2: be able to have over a hundred and seventy something
- 41:50Speaker 2: literary works from magazines, to journals, to devotions to poetry.
- 41:58Speaker 2: I even have a couple urban lit books. I even
- 42:02Speaker 2: have a couple children books, children activity books, planners, you
- 42:09Speaker 2: name it. I have dabbled in it. And I also
- 42:15Speaker 2: if you don't want to invest the five hundred and
- 42:17Speaker 2: work with me for those ninety days, you have the
- 42:22Speaker 2: opportunity to go on Walmart dot com or go to
- 42:27Speaker 2: my website and purchase a copy of self Publishing with
- 42:33Speaker 2: the Queen in ninety days. It is a start to
- 42:37Speaker 2: finish book. You can walk through it and learn how
- 42:42Speaker 2: to self publish. It gives you some ins and outs,
- 42:47Speaker 2: gives you some tips. It's everything in there, probably not
- 42:52Speaker 2: because guess what, I don't know everything, but I know
- 42:56Speaker 2: enough to publish, have one hundred and seventies literary works
- 43:01Speaker 2: up and internationally published. I've had some awards, I've been
- 43:07Speaker 2: featured in different places that share about the things that
- 43:12Speaker 2: I do. So I'm not saying that I am a
- 43:16Speaker 2: an expert expert, but I can give you enough insight
- 43:20Speaker 2: and enough information that will help you get your book
- 43:24Speaker 2: published and to get your stuff out there. I think
- 43:29Speaker 2: that's all, y'all. I really think that's all. Again, I
- 43:32Speaker 2: want to encourage you guys to join me tonight on
- 43:37Speaker 2: the w b n N. I will be live at

- 44:14Speaker 2: join the conversation, Start two. I know it's a lot,

- 44:37Speaker 2: want to thank you guys for all that you do
- 44:41Speaker 2: and supporting not just me as an individual, but all
- 44:46Speaker 2: of the things that I have my hands in aspiring
- 44:48Speaker 2: off this magazine, the crew, podcast, wbn in and all
- 44:54Speaker 2: of the different things that we do as a movement.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Some of y'all may know me from AL, which is
- 45:00Speaker 2: the African American Author Literacy awareness campaign. We've not been
- 45:05Speaker 2: doing a lot, but twenty twenty seven, we're gonna get
- 45:07Speaker 2: back out there and we're gonna be doing our Chasing
- 45:10Speaker 2: Your Dream Book tours. So we are definitely gonna be
- 45:14Speaker 2: looking for individuals that want to work and partner with
- 45:17Speaker 2: us to help us come to their city and their
- 45:20Speaker 2: state so that we can bring these authors together so
- 45:23Speaker 2: that we can bring these workshops together because we want
- 45:25Speaker 2: to be able to help each other. We want to
- 45:28Speaker 2: be help makes one to another. Bring these small businesses
- 45:31Speaker 2: together so that you know who's in your area, who's
- 45:34Speaker 2: in your community, and then you get the opportunity to
- 45:37Speaker 2: connect with other people that may be traveling in to
- 45:40Speaker 2: your area, so when you may be in another area,
- 45:43Speaker 2: you may be able to connect with them. So y'all,
- 45:45Speaker 2: it's all about collaborating, connection and creating. So again, I
- 45:51Speaker 2: want to thank everybody for joining me on today. Again,
- 45:54Speaker 2: it's not my birthday, but it is the sixth anniversary
- 45:59Speaker 2: of Aspiring Authors Magazine and Myra podcast over on the
