Bob Schladensky, a beloved senior with an infectious laugh and a big heart, passed away at 85 after a life rich with adventure, love, and joy. A Clemson grad and proud Army veteran stationed near Paris, he fell in love with Italy and brought that spirit home through his stunning garden and his 28-foot sailboat, the “Free Spirit.” A diehard fan of the Tigers and Panthers, he danced to beach music, charmed everyone he met, and made family gatherings his sacred rituals — never missing a wedding or holiday.
