Transcript
- 0:01When an action takes place in the world, it has a number of
- 0:05effects, both in the world and in the psychology of the
- 0:09individual, carrying out the action, each action creates a
- 0:14formation, a rhythm or a solid result that tends to perpetuate
- 0:21and repeat itself on an ongoing basis.
- 0:25Thus, the more we carry out specific forms of action The
- 0:30more difficult, they are to change or remove.
- 0:34This is the secret of why habits.
- 0:36Addictions and instincts are so hard to change.
- 0:43For those individuals who wish to effectuate a real change.
- 0:47Therefore they must contend with the pressure that habits and
- 0:52concrete sized forms exerts upon them.
- 0:56Once brought into existence through action, these external
- 1:00formations have a momentum, and a pathway to recreate
- 1:05themselves. In any attempt to change.
- 1:09Therefore the importance of discontinuing support for an
- 1:13overt manifestation of outer actions cannot be over
- 1:17emphasized. An addiction cannot be broken as
- 1:21long as it continues to be fed, This is the case whether one is
- 1:26speaking about a strong, physical addiction such as
- 1:28Alcohol, Tobacco, or drugs, or about other less traumatic
- 1:33issues. One is facing such as Cravings
- 1:36desires or habit which are otherwise deemed acceptable by
- 1:42Society. It is also true that to overcome
- 1:46the force of such embedded, outer manifestations, a will,
- 1:51and an aspiration for change must be present.
- 1:54Aunt, so the fact of changing the outer action implies changes
- 1:59to the inner forces that supported it in the first place.
- 2:05It is of course, not simple to change.
- 2:07Deeply entrenched habits of action outright suppression,
- 2:12eventually can backfire. If it increases the pressure and
- 2:15force of the suppressed action, which then returns with an
- 2:21increased power, to the extent possible, a process of
- 2:26redirecting, the energy and the focus toward other.
- 2:29Things can be much more effective.
- 2:33We see this occurring naturally as a child, Those and interests
- 2:36change. And thus the child is able to
- 2:39leave behind childish, Axe and desires and the focus on
- 2:44childish games and toys. To redirect the attention to new
- 2:48occupations and interest, a strong spiritual aspiration has
- 2:53the power to effectuate in the Seeker.
- 2:56A redirection of attention and focus away from those actions
- 3:01that are to be put aside or changed.
- 3:06The mother observes quote. You must never say, I shall
- 3:11first purify my thought purify my body purify my vital and then
- 3:16later, I shall purify, my action.
- 3:20That is the normal order, but it never succeeds.
- 3:23The effect of order is to begin from the outside.
- 3:27The very first thing is that I do not do it and afterwards.
- 3:32I desire it no longer and next I close my doors.
- 3:36Completely to all impulses. They no longer exist for me, I
- 3:42am now outside all that. This is the true order.
- 3:47The order that is effective first not to do it and then you
- 3:53will no longer desire and after that it will go out of your
- 3:57Consciousness completely and quote, reference SRI aurobindo
