- 0:00Speaker 1: Direct from Hollywood with Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Every industry has seen parents already in the field help
- 0:06Speaker 2: their kids get an upper hand since the dawn of time,
- 0:08Speaker 2: but the idea of nepo babies has really become a
- 0:10Speaker 2: hot-button topic in Hollywood over the last few years when
- 0:13Speaker 2: children of famous parents are accused of getting an easier
- 0:16Speaker 2: path to success. And Sly Stallone has some choice words
- 0:20Speaker 2: for anybody accusing his daughter of being a nepo baby.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Sly's daughter, Scarlett Rose Stallone, plays Spencer... on his hit
- 0:27Speaker 3: show Tulsa King. And when he was asked about it
- 0:30Speaker 3: by USA Today, he very bluntly replied, of course, it's nepotism,
- 0:34Speaker 3: you idiot.
- 0:35Speaker 4: Sly argues that if you think nepotism is just flat
- 0:38Speaker 4: out terrible, the reality is you aren't a good parent.
- 0:41Speaker 4: If you haven't performed a little nepotism, he says, then
- 0:44Speaker 4: you don't care about your kids because they should come first.
- 0:47Speaker 2: His perspective is that he wants the very best for
- 0:49Speaker 2: his kids so he'll give them every advantage he can offer.
- 0:51Speaker 2: He also thinks it's important to remember the other side
- 0:54Speaker 2: of it. A parent can only open the door. It's
- 0:56Speaker 2: up to the kid to walk through it and prove
- 0:58Speaker 2: they belong in front of millions of highly critical people.
- 1:02Speaker 2: You can stream Tulsa King on Paramount +.
