- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Telugu with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Episode 160 — can you believe it? Lucas: I know. We've come a long way. Last time we learned body parts — back and stomach. Luna: Right. వీపు and కడుపు. I still remember them. Lucas: Good. Today we're switching gears. We've covered Monday to Friday before, but not the weekend. Luna: Oh, finally. I've been waiting for Saturday and Sunday. Lucas: If Fexingo has been helping you make progress with Telugu, consider supporting the show. It keeps us ad-free and helps us make more episodes like this. Head to buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. And now, let's talk weekend. Luna: Yeah, I love that we can keep this going because of listeners like that. Lucas: Absolutely. So, Saturday in Telugu is శనివారం. Luna: శనివారం. Lucas: Good. And Sunday is ఆదివారం. Luna: ఆదివారం. That one sounds familiar — like ఆది from the beginning. Lucas: Exactly. ఆది means beginning, so ఆదివారం is the first day of the week. Let's say them again: శనివారం, ఆదివారం. Luna: శనివారం, ఆదివారం. Lucas: Now let's use them in sentences. Today is Saturday: నేడు శనివారం. Luna: నేడు శనివారం. I remember నేడు means today. Lucas: Right. Tomorrow is Sunday: రేపు ఆదివారం. Luna: రేపు ఆదివారం. So if today is Saturday, tomorrow is Sunday. Lucas: Exactly. Let's practice. Repeat after me: నేడు శనివారం. Luna: నేడు శనివారం. Lucas: రేపు ఆదివారం. Luna: రేపు ఆదివారం. Lucas: Good. Now, what if someone asks you what day it is? They might say: ఈ రోజు ఏ రోజు? That means 'which day is today?' Luna: ఈ రోజు ఏ రోజు? That's a good question to know. Lucas: You can answer: ఈ రోజు శనివారం. Or: ఈ రోజు ఆదివారం. Luna: So if it's Saturday, I say ఈ రోజు శనివారం. Lucas: Perfect. And if it's Sunday, ఈ రోజు ఆదివారం. Luna: ఈ రోజు ఆదివారం. Lucas: Let's do a quick scene. Imagine it's Saturday. I ask you: ఈ రోజు ఏ రోజు? Luna: ఈ రోజు శనివారం. Lucas: Great. Now imagine it's Sunday. What do you say? Luna: ఈ రోజు ఆదివారం. Lucas: You got it. So let's run through our new words one more time: శనివారం. Luna: శనివారం. Lucas: ఆదివారం. Luna: ఆదివారం. Lucas: నేడు శనివారం. Luna: నేడు శనివారం. Lucas: రేపు ఆదివారం. Luna: రేపు ఆదివారం. Lucas: Excellent. Now you can talk about the weekend in Telugu. Practice these phrases until next time. Luna: I will. Thanks, Lucas. And thanks to everyone supporting the show. See you next episode. Lucas: See you then. Keep practicing.
