  Speaker 2: The Holy Spirit sometimes says no, even to good ideas.

  Speaker 2: Sometimes it could be unconceivable or unthinkable that God will

  Speaker 2: say no to something good, a good idea, or a

  Speaker 2: good movement. And I'll be honest and transparent with you.

  Speaker 2: This is a point of discussion with me or my

  Speaker 2: wife a lot of times. She always tells me that

  Speaker 2: she doesn't want to do good things. She want to

  Speaker 2: do godly things. So sometimes she says, you know, maybe

  Speaker 2: we shouldn't do this event, or maybe we shouldn't do

  Speaker 2: this outreach, Maybe we shouldn't do things just to do things,

  Speaker 2: or to be busy just for being busy's sake. Right,

  Speaker 2: And the scripture right now backs her up. You know,
• 7:23
  Speaker 2: Paul was forbidden to preach. Paul wanted to preach, Paul
• 7:29
  Speaker 2: was committed to the call. Right now, that's always a
• 7:33
  Speaker 2: good thing. But good isn't always God, right. I Mean,
• 7:41
  Speaker 2: we know that God is good, but good things are
• 7:44
  Speaker 2: not necessarily God things. And that's exactly what my wife
• 7:48
  Speaker 2: tells me she wants to do godly things, not good things. Now,
• 7:53
  Speaker 2: the Greek word used for forbidden here means restrained, hindered,
• 7:59
  Speaker 2: or prevent family. Sometimes the Holy Spirit blocks you, not
• 8:05
  Speaker 2: because you're wrong, but because you're early right. Closed doors
• 8:14
  Speaker 2: are not rejection. We talked about that before. Closed doors
• 8:19
  Speaker 2: are redirection. Jesus said himself, I will never leave you
• 8:25
  Speaker 2: nor forsake you amen verse seven. After they had come
• 8:31
  Speaker 2: to Mistia, they tried to go to Bathynia, but the
• 8:37
  Speaker 2: Spirit did not permit them again stopped. These are two
• 8:44
  Speaker 2: closed doors back to back. Paul was sensitive to the spirit.

  Speaker 2: Paul did not want to force any door to be open.

  Speaker 2: How many times have we done that? Many times have

  Speaker 2: we forced an issue and forced something that was not

  Speaker 2: necessarily God's will for our lives. But God allowed us

  Speaker 2: to have what we thought we wanted, right, I'm guilty

  Speaker 2: of that now. But Paul, he didn't kick the door down.

  Speaker 2: Paul did not try to manipulate this situation.

  Speaker 3: It looks like you lost another one.

  Speaker 2: And he did not tried to wrestle God or anything

  Speaker 2: like that. Paul his attitude was yield. He yielded to

  Speaker 2: the leading of the Holy Spirit. He yielded to the

  Speaker 2: How many times do we push relationships God blocked and

  Speaker 2: God says no, do not date that person, and do

  Speaker 2: not marry that person, do not hang out with that person.

  Speaker 2: But we push in those areas we force jobs God

  Speaker 2: shut down. Right, there's things that God may have shut down,

  Speaker 2: and I'm open to that, you know, I'm open to

  Speaker 2: you know, even club his hot you know, is it

  Speaker 2: God's will for it to be shut down permanent? If

  Speaker 2: it is, I gotta get with the program. But definitely

  Speaker 2: seek confirmation. I wouldn't just go by what people say, right,

  Speaker 2: I would seek the Holy Spirit himself for these type

  Speaker 2: of answers in guiding guidance from God. Amen. We cannot

  Speaker 2: chase opportunities God has closed. We have to check our hearts. Man.

  Speaker 2: that He's shut and things that he doesn't want us

  Speaker 2: to do? Only by a prayer life, Only by a

  Speaker 2: life of prayer and fasting. Only when we sit at

  Speaker 2: doing something that is no longer God's guidance in our lives. Amen,

  Speaker 2: Verse eight. So passing by Mistra, they came down to Trowaz.

  Speaker 2: Now notice something here. They kept moving. They didn't sit discouraged.

  Speaker 2: They weren't angry or upset. They didn't quit the ministry.

  Speaker 2: They didn't say, you know what, I give up, this

  Speaker 2: is too hard. They did not say God must not
• 12:23
  Speaker 2: want me to do this, or God must not want
• 12:27
  Speaker 2: to use me anymore. I must be disqualified. They just

  Speaker 2: stayed faithful to the call. Sometimes you don't know the destination,
• 12:45
  Speaker 2: but you just keep walking in obedience. We may know
• 12:52
  Speaker 2: not know where God is leading us, but we have
• 12:56
  Speaker 2: to just keep moving. Amen. And the thing that's interesting
• 13:03
  Speaker 2: to me, you would think the gospel. Now, the gospel
• 13:07
  Speaker 2: has been preached throughout the whole world, and it is
• 13:10
  Speaker 2: God's heart that none should perish. But you would think
• 13:13
  Speaker 2: that everywhere Paul desired to go with the Gospel, God
• 13:19
  Speaker 2: would have allowed him to go. That His ways are
• 13:23
  Speaker 2: not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts. His
• 13:27
  Speaker 2: thoughts are higher than our thoughts. Maybe He already had
• 13:31
  Speaker 2: a strategy to reach those people, Maybe he already had
• 13:35
  Speaker 2: people over there, or maybe he was going to send
• 13:37
  Speaker 2: a different ministry team to reach those areas. But and
• 13:42
  Speaker 2: maybe Paul would not have been able to minister to
• 13:45
  Speaker 2: them verse nine. Now these are just my opinions, right
• 13:52
  Speaker 2: verse nine, In a vision appeared to Paul in the night,
• 13:56
  Speaker 2: a man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying,
• 14:00
  Speaker 2: come over to Macedonia and help us. Now we see
• 14:08
  Speaker 2: why the doors were closed. God wasn't just saying no,
• 14:13
  Speaker 2: He was saying not here, go over there. This is
• 14:20
  Speaker 2: known as the Macedonian Call. Right. This movement launched the
• 14:26
  Speaker 2: Gospel into Europe, a whole different continent. Now, God will
• 14:39
  Speaker 2: guide us sometimes by closing doors. And God will also
• 14:47
  Speaker 2: guide us by giving us an inWORD witness. He will
• 14:50
  Speaker 2: give us an inWORD confirmation. Right, he will put something
• 14:55
  Speaker 2: on our hearts and he will guide us that way.
• 15:00
  Speaker 2: And He also gives us supernatural visions. He will give
• 15:05
  Speaker 2: us a vision, a dream, a prophetic word. There are
• 15:10
  Speaker 2: multiple ways where God will guide us. The Holy Spirit
• 15:14
  Speaker 2: doesn't just block, he directs. So my prayer for all
• 15:22
  Speaker 2: of us is that we will be more sensitive to
• 15:24
  Speaker 2: this function, this work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Amen.

  Speaker 2: Now I want you to also notice that the man

  Speaker 2: said help us, that meant word means to rescue, to

  Speaker 2: bring aid, or to support. In the midst of disaster.

  Speaker 2: Europe didn't know it needed Jesus. Europe still needs Jesus. Amen.

  Speaker 2: The whole world needs Jesus, but Heaven did. God already

  Speaker 2: knows our need before we even realize it. Amen. Sometimes

  Speaker 2: your calling is connected to someone else's cry. Be sensitive

  Speaker 2: to the Christ around you. Who is crying on your job,
• 16:20
  Speaker 2: who is crying in your school, who is crying in
• 16:24
  Speaker 2: your neighborhood, who is crying in your community, in your city,
• 16:28
  Speaker 2: your state, your country. Amen, it could be that that
• 16:34
  Speaker 2: could be the call of God for your life. Verse ten.

  Speaker 2: Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought
• 16:49
  Speaker 2: to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called
• 16:54
  Speaker 2: us to preach the Gospel to them. Now, word here

  Speaker 2: is immediately there was no delay. There's no debate, there
• 17:10
  Speaker 2: was no board meeting. They didn't discuss it with the committee.

  Speaker 2: The obedience was immediately because I mean they were already

  Speaker 2: that this could have been the thorn in the flesh

  Speaker 2: that Paul speaks about in his epistles where he prayed

  Speaker 2: three times for it to be removed, but the Lord

  Speaker 2: said his grace is sufficient. And they were saying because

  Speaker 2: of his eyes, because in one of his epistles he

  Speaker 2: writes that the people loved Paul so much that they

  Speaker 2: would have given him their eyes if they could have.

  Speaker 2: That's how much they loved him. Right, And so some

  Speaker 2: living in us today. The same Holy Spirit that directed

  Speaker 2: Paul is the same holy spirit was dwelling inside of
