Transcript
- Lucas: Luna, ready for another tiny Norwegian lesson? Luna: Yeah, always. What are we learning today? Lucas: Two super practical verbs: å åpne, which means 'to open', and å lukke, which means 'to close'. Luna: Open and close. I can work with that. Say them again slowly? Lucas: Sure. Å åpne. Å lukke. Luna: Å åpne, å lukke. Okay, I think I've got those. Lucas: Good. Now let's put them in sentences. Jeg åpner døren — I open the door. Jeg lukker vinduet — I close the window. Luna: Jeg åpner døren. Jeg lukker vinduet. That sounds smooth. Lucas: Exactly. And if you want to ask someone to do it, you say: Kan du åpne vinduet? — Can you open the window? Or Kan du lukke døren? — Can you close the door? Luna: Kan du åpne vinduet? So that's asking someone to open the window. And Kan du lukke døren? is asking to close the door. Perfect. Lucas: You're a natural. Let's do a quick roleplay. I'll be at a table, and you ask me to open the window. Luna: Okay. Kan du åpne vinduet? Lucas: Ja, selvfølgelig. Jeg åpner vinduet. Luna: Nice. Now you ask me to close the door. Lucas: Kan du lukke døren? Luna: Ja, jeg lukker døren. Easy. Lucas: You're doing so well. And you know, if Fexingo has been helping you make actual progress with Norwegian, a small way to support the show is through buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. Luna: Yeah, a few listeners already chip in, and it really helps keep things ad-free and going. Lucas: It does. So, back to å åpne and å lukke — let's practice one more time. I'll say a word, you make a sentence. Door. Luna: Kan du åpne døren? Lucas: Window. Luna: Kan du lukke vinduet? Lucas: You've got it. Keep practicing these throughout the day — open and close things while saying the Norwegian. It sticks faster. Luna: Good tip. Takk for i dag, Lucas. Lucas: Bare hyggelig. See you next time.
