- 0:00Speaker 1: With Stu Gotts and Hawkman.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I mean, what's better than with Stu Gotts and Hawkman
- 0:07Speaker 2: to start out the week?
- 0:09Speaker 1: Nothing? I mean the time of our lives.
- 0:13Speaker 3: It really is the time of our lives. It is
- 0:15Speaker 3: you know, you enjoy doing it.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Yes, something funny happened in the last episode and I
- 0:22Speaker 2: can't remember it, but there was a we were playing
- 0:24Speaker 2: something back from when you and I were doing Two
- 0:26Speaker 2: Days and I said, uh, you said something like or
- 0:31Speaker 2: I said something like, uh yeah, you and I were
- 0:33Speaker 2: having fun and Dan didn't like it or something like that,
- 0:37Speaker 2: because we were doing the mornings and then you go
- 0:40Speaker 2: into to do the afternoons and somebody put it was
- 0:42Speaker 2: either on the YouTube comments or sent it to me
- 0:44Speaker 2: on on Instagram as a direct message. It was like, uh,
- 0:47Speaker 2: you know, oh the horror Stu Gotts and Hawk were
- 0:51Speaker 2: having fun. And I was thinking to myself, that's the
- 0:54Speaker 2: name for the next podcast or show that we do together,
- 0:56Speaker 2: which is Stu Gotts and Hawk have Fun. That's really
- 1:00Speaker 2: when I go, I mean, another episode, what's better than this?
- 1:04Speaker 2: And I'm like, it really is fun. I get so
- 1:07Speaker 2: many direct messages from people and they're like, I love
- 1:10Speaker 2: hearing this old stuff, and I'm like, so do we
- 1:12Speaker 2: like it's not bullshit, Like we're just having fun.
- 1:15Speaker 4: We love hearing it, we love breaking it down. It's
- 1:18Speaker 4: like when you watch a movie, you'll always learn more
- 1:20Speaker 4: about the movie the second or third time you watch
- 1:23Speaker 4: it then the first time you watch it. And so
- 1:25Speaker 4: hearing some of this stuff back just brings up new
- 1:28Speaker 4: elements to what we did, things I hadn't thought of
- 1:30Speaker 4: when we first did it, and so it's just been
- 1:33Speaker 4: it's been fun for us. I'm glad that the audience
- 1:35Speaker 4: likes us. We should say this in fairness to Dan.
- 1:37Speaker 4: He was getting us after doing four hours of radio
- 1:41Speaker 4: yeah yea yeah, and then sitting around for four hours
- 1:43Speaker 4: waiting for hours show to start.
- 1:45Speaker 2: No, yeah, yeah yeah, No, Shade intended there was. It
- 1:49Speaker 2: was just a funny scenario going on where you and
- 1:53Speaker 2: I were just like letting loose for four hours and
- 1:57Speaker 2: then we had to come into the show with the
- 2:00Speaker 2: afternoon and fall into line to do the show that
- 2:03Speaker 2: he wanted to do, which, by the way, was the
- 2:06Speaker 2: show that everyone wanted to hear.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Soh no, Shade, yes, yes, but it was fun. It
- 2:12Speaker 1: was fun.
- 2:13Speaker 2: But all this stuff, like the fact that we get
- 2:16Speaker 2: to so hit my theory, my idea for today's episode.
- 2:20Speaker 2: If you recall in the last episode and I got
- 2:24Speaker 2: to thank just the listeners to this.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Podcast, you know, you and Dan and me.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Even at the beginning we had created We used to
- 2:30Speaker 2: talk about it, this community of listeners to the LeBatard Show,
- 2:33Speaker 2: and that exists today. And I feel like I've over
- 2:36Speaker 2: the last decade created a community of listeners with Crowder
- 2:40Speaker 2: and Solana and we. I would say, in the year
- 2:45Speaker 2: that we've been doing this podcast, a lot of that
- 2:47Speaker 2: community has gravitated towards us. And on the last episode,
- 2:52Speaker 2: I had said, my son, who has graduated from college,
- 2:55Speaker 2: created this website where he's selling old merch and new merch.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Like from the Hawkman, Crowder Solana Show.
- 3:01Speaker 2: But we brought back Horsemuffins dot com, and the listeners
- 3:06Speaker 2: to this podcast and my radio show have bought a
- 3:09Speaker 2: ton of merch already, and I thought it was the
- 3:11Speaker 2: coolest thing.
- 3:12Speaker 1: And by the way, there's two new shirts up there.
- 3:14Speaker 2: There's a Mark Hackman sports comic like touring t shirt
- 3:17Speaker 2: one night only because at the end of my career,
- 3:20Speaker 2: and then there's also a quote t shirt up there,
- 3:24Speaker 2: which is Sam sneid my God in quotes and then
- 3:27Speaker 2: Al Lombardo twenty eleven excellent having said it, But there's
- 3:31Speaker 2: really good stuff up there. And if you want to
- 3:33Speaker 2: support my son, who's graduated from college and this is
- 3:35Speaker 2: his side hustle, you can get the merch at horse
- 3:39Speaker 2: Muffins dot com.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Go ahead, Yeah, I was going to ask, has your
- 3:44Speaker 4: son been surprised to see the community around the show
- 3:46Speaker 4: at how much they have rushed to the site or yes.
- 3:49Speaker 2: And what really has tickled me as a dad is
- 3:54Speaker 2: like the Lombardo thing. I said to him, I want
- 3:56Speaker 2: a shirt that says Sam sneid my God. Has no
- 4:00Speaker 2: reference point to it, right, So he's like, well, what
- 4:04Speaker 2: is Sam snead my God? And the thing that tickles
- 4:09Speaker 2: me is so then I show him our podcast episode
- 4:12Speaker 2: of talking about the Lombardo calls, and he's grinning ear
- 4:15Speaker 2: to ear like he's twenty two years old. But he
- 4:18Speaker 2: hasn't heard much. I mean, I don't think he recalls
- 4:21Speaker 2: anything from the LeBatard Show because he was a little kid.
- 4:25Speaker 2: But this is so that's what this episode was going
- 4:28Speaker 2: to be. I was going back in time when we
- 4:31Speaker 2: because I marvel at my son is a college graduate. Crazy,
- 4:37Speaker 2: and we're still talking about stuff that happened when he
- 4:42Speaker 2: was six months old.
- 4:44Speaker 1: He was five months old when our show started.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yes, five months old. Yeah, he's graduated college. Your daughters
- 4:49Speaker 2: are obviously the same age, right.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, they graduated college. But I stayed with the
- 4:53Speaker 4: show longer. I stayed with the show. They grew up
- 4:56Speaker 4: with the show, so they probably heard more of it
- 4:59Speaker 4: than your son did, right, yeah.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Because I stayed on for about eight years, so oh,
- 5:04Speaker 2: four to twenty twelve, So he's, you know, like eight
- 5:09Speaker 2: years old when when like he knows me as a
- 5:12Speaker 2: solo radio host, you know, I'm doing mornings and then
- 5:15Speaker 2: doing afternoons now on QAM.
- 5:18Speaker 4: I would say that Taylor would know. I think he
- 5:21Speaker 4: was listening. At this point, Rachel became a very big
- 5:24Speaker 4: part of the show. Me coaching Rachel the lacrosse trips.
- 5:27Speaker 4: I would take that became a big part of the show.
- 5:31Speaker 4: But this reminds me what you're doing with your son.
- 5:33Speaker 4: It's like Serena who wanted to come back to Wimbledon
- 5:36Speaker 4: because she wanted her kids to see.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Just how big of a deal mom used to be.
- 5:42Speaker 3: And now your son is finally realizing what a big deal,
- 5:45Speaker 3: you are.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I love it.
- 5:47Speaker 5: My introduction to Stu Gott's twin daughters is when he
- 5:50Speaker 5: said he wants Mark Sanchez.
- 5:52Speaker 1: To date one of them.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Oh Jesus, I regret saying that I did.
- 5:56Speaker 4: I was just saying there could be worse choices, worse options,
- 5:59Speaker 4: you know, getting a quarterback from USC.
- 6:02Speaker 1: To take that back to back. Yeah, the age poorly,
- 6:06Speaker 1: you would not want your daughter. I regret it.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I said, chosen anyone else.
- 6:12Speaker 2: My idea for today's episode, And again what I said
- 6:16Speaker 2: last week was listen, there's shirts just Stu Gotson Hawkpod.
- 6:20Speaker 2: There's the sports comic shirts. I forget what else is
- 6:23Speaker 2: up there, but there's some really good stuff. There's a
- 6:25Speaker 2: seven ninety logo. It says always seven ninety the ticket
- 6:29Speaker 2: for people who was like, it's always seven ninety the
- 6:31Speaker 2: ticket to me, it doesn't exist anymore.
- 6:34Speaker 1: There's there's some cool stuff up there.
- 6:35Speaker 2: My son has designed it all, and he's built the
- 6:37Speaker 2: store and he runs it all. And I said, you know,
- 6:39Speaker 2: if you want to consider yourself like, hey, I like
- 6:42Speaker 2: the podcast, I love the old material, and so by
- 6:45Speaker 2: buy a shirt, it works out the you know, for
- 6:48Speaker 2: twenty five bucks, it's two months two bucks a month
- 6:50Speaker 2: to get this content. DJ gets all the money. You're
- 6:53Speaker 2: helping a college kid get his footing. He's moving back
- 6:56Speaker 2: to Tampa today. He's he's on the road to At
- 6:58Speaker 2: some point during this episod, I may have to break
- 7:02Speaker 2: out and say goodbye to my son who's leaving, which
- 7:05Speaker 2: is again mind blowing.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Yes, just remind him just so he knows if he
- 7:10Speaker 4: puts anything on that site with my face on it, Okay,
- 7:14Speaker 4: it's eighty twenty my way.
- 7:15Speaker 1: It's up there.
- 7:16Speaker 2: There's a with Stugats and Hawkman podcast logo shirt with
- 7:19Speaker 2: your smiling face, which people are buying. I cannot wait
- 7:25Speaker 2: to see one around town. Go buy a shirt. It's
- 7:30Speaker 2: horse Muffins dot com. But my idea for today's episode,
- 7:34Speaker 2: and this episode ends up having nothing to do with it,
- 7:37Speaker 2: and I'll tell you why. I'll pull back the curtain
- 7:39Speaker 2: and talk about things aging poorly Taylor. So my idea
- 7:42Speaker 2: was I was going to show you, like the transition
- 7:46Speaker 2: from what we were doing on this show in like
- 7:50Speaker 2: two thousand and four, two thousand and five, and one
- 7:52Speaker 2: of the things that people used to love was I
- 7:55Speaker 2: would complain about my wife's sandwich making abilities.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And it was a bit.
- 8:00Speaker 2: It was a bit, but she one time had forgotten
- 8:03Speaker 2: Swiss cheese on my pub sub and it became this
- 8:06Speaker 2: whole thing on the show because you and I would
- 8:09Speaker 2: back each other up. I would be telling Dan, hey,
- 8:12Speaker 2: she knows we've been married twelve years. And now we've
- 8:15Speaker 2: been married twenty eight years, you know, but we've been
- 8:17Speaker 2: married twelve years, Dan, Like, she needs to know. I
- 8:20Speaker 2: don't have to tell her to put Swiss on the sub.
- 8:22Speaker 2: She should know that after twelve years, right, And you're
- 8:25Speaker 2: backing it up now Dan was not married at this
- 8:27Speaker 2: time now, and he's like, that's not her job, and
- 8:30Speaker 2: you and I are playing this role. Yes, that is
- 8:32Speaker 2: her job, and you know, and you're interrupting me, and
- 8:35Speaker 2: you're like, Dan, Dan, I gotta tell you, like, she's
- 8:39Speaker 2: got to know after twelve years, Yes, if he likes Swiss,
- 8:43Speaker 2: the Swiss has to be on the sub. But then
- 8:45Speaker 2: I'm listening to this segment and you and I sound
- 8:50Speaker 2: so misogynistic.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Oh god, I can't even imagine I'm getting.
- 8:54Speaker 6: I'm like, I'm getting the Shpilkes listening to it because
- 9:00Speaker 6: you and I are like, there's I mean, the woman
- 9:03Speaker 6: has one job and it's to make sure the husband.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Is happy in the meantime.
- 9:08Speaker 2: By the way, if I can pull the cart back,
- 9:10Speaker 2: And again we were doing a bit. My wife is
- 9:12Speaker 2: a successful professional. She was probably making more money than
- 9:16Speaker 2: I was. At the beginning of the show, she's got
- 9:20Speaker 2: an MBA. I don't like she is a But that
- 9:24Speaker 2: was kind of the bit where Dan would be like, no,
- 9:28Speaker 2: she doesn't owe you anything, And then I find a
- 9:31Speaker 2: phone call. Did you know Laurie was on the show
- 9:33Speaker 2: with us? Laurie did a segment with me you and Dan.
- 9:36Speaker 2: I do not recall that, yes, and she held her
- 9:40Speaker 2: own like and Dan was like, Dan was like, what
- 9:43Speaker 2: happened with the sandwich? And because it was like a
- 9:47Speaker 2: couple of weeks later, I had gotten to work. She
- 9:49Speaker 2: was making me lunch at that time because I was
- 9:51Speaker 2: the program director and I had so much to do.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I just never had time to leave, so I would
- 9:55Speaker 2: eat lunch in the lunch room and she had made
- 9:57Speaker 2: me a turkey sandwich, but she didn't toast the bread.
- 10:00Speaker 2: And I did this whole bit about how the fuck
- 10:04Speaker 2: is a sandwich even a sandwich if the bread isn't
- 10:07Speaker 2: even toasted.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I'm like, that's the key to the sandwich.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm doing this whole bit about like how
- 10:14Speaker 2: many steps are there that you would forget to toast
- 10:17Speaker 2: the bread?
- 10:18Speaker 1: Right, you know, like there's.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Like take out the bread, take out the turkey, take
- 10:23Speaker 2: out the mayo, take out the cheese.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Yeah, toast the bread, put the sandwich together. You're done.
- 10:28Speaker 1: It's like five steps. Yeah, not your first rodeo. I
- 10:31Speaker 1: mean you forget what if you forget one of the steps,
- 10:33Speaker 1: you forget to toast.
- 10:34Speaker 6: The bread, you've forgotten twenty percent of what makes the sandwich.
- 10:38Speaker 1: But anyway, and so she calls in, or.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Dan calls her, says, you know, have her on. But
- 10:44Speaker 2: again you and I just sound so misogynistic.
- 10:47Speaker 1: But I was gonna use.
- 10:49Speaker 2: This old sandwich stuff and the Lori bits as a
- 10:52Speaker 2: way to say, hey, thank you for supporting my son.
- 10:56Speaker 2: You guys have lived through this like we have, like
- 11:00Speaker 2: a lot of people. Remember Dan, I mentioned this in
- 11:04Speaker 2: the other episode, Dan taking my son in his stroller.
- 11:08Speaker 2: We were having Thanksgiving dinner at the Levatard house. Yeah,
- 11:11Speaker 2: and Dan taking my son in his stroller and putting
- 11:14Speaker 2: him in the middle of the street to surprise me.
- 11:17Speaker 2: And then when Laurie and I are leaving and saying
- 11:19Speaker 2: our goodbyes, and we're like, where's the stroller. It's in
- 11:21Speaker 2: the middle of the street. And then Dan jumps out
- 11:24Speaker 2: and I was horrified. But my son was probably eight
- 11:27Speaker 2: months old at the time, seven or eight months old
- 11:29Speaker 2: at the time. And people still love that story. They
- 11:31Speaker 2: reference it all the time. And I'm like all of
- 11:34Speaker 2: you who are with us now in the podcast, who
- 11:37Speaker 2: listened on the early days of the show, like you're
- 11:40Speaker 2: at the same stage. I am somewhere else in your life,
- 11:43Speaker 2: but my life is no longer the kid in the stroller,
- 11:48Speaker 2: the helpless kid and the stroller. It's the kid who's
- 11:51Speaker 2: graduated from college.
- 11:53Speaker 1: And is moving to Tampa. Yeah, and it's like we've
- 11:56Speaker 1: all gone.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Through so much. But I was gonna so I was
- 11:59Speaker 2: gonna play some of the older stuff. But I love
- 12:01Speaker 2: that so misogynistic, I just.
- 12:04Speaker 1: By the way.
- 12:04Speaker 4: I spoke to Dan after that episode and I said, totally,
- 12:08Speaker 4: dick move doing that with Hawk's kid. And he still
- 12:10Speaker 4: maintains funny. I don't care what anyone tells me.
- 12:13Speaker 2: It's funny, and I'll tell you where the disconnect is.
- 12:17Speaker 1: It's a funny joke.
- 12:19Speaker 2: If you hold the baby, put the stroller in the
- 12:23Speaker 2: middle of the street, but hold on to the baby
- 12:27Speaker 2: yourself and go hide.
- 12:28Speaker 1: With the baby.
- 12:30Speaker 7: So if by chance, the one in a million happens,
- 12:34Speaker 7: a car flies around the corner and you stumble as
- 12:38Speaker 7: you were gonna pull the stroller away, there's no baby
- 12:42Speaker 7: in the stroller.
- 12:43Speaker 1: The baby's safely in your arms.
- 12:45Speaker 6: So it's so close to funny, but instead it's psychopathic.
- 12:53Speaker 4: In fact, in that scenario where the stroller's out there
- 12:56Speaker 4: and you're holding the baby, but you think the baby's
- 12:59Speaker 4: in the stroller, you actually want a car to come
- 13:01Speaker 4: violently hit the stroller.
- 13:04Speaker 1: So Dan can pop out like tonight, I've got the baby. Yeah.
- 13:10Speaker 2: So but anyway, Mike, Mike, So, so this episode is
- 13:14Speaker 2: something different. So, but I do appreciate and would appreciate
- 13:18Speaker 2: if you can find it in your heart to buy
- 13:19Speaker 2: some merch from my son's site, Horsemuffins dot com. It's
- 13:22Speaker 2: also called Hawkloves Avocado tooast dot com. If you can
- 13:26Speaker 2: go to that site and purchase a shirt or a
- 13:28Speaker 2: hat or a hoodie, that would be great. So then
- 13:31Speaker 2: I start thinking, I'm always like, so what can I
- 13:34Speaker 2: tie in to stuff that's going on right now? John
- 13:37Speaker 2: Mellencamp is on tour. Are you a mellencampfan at all?
- 13:41Speaker 1: Uh? Back in the eighties? I mean yeah, I kind
- 13:44Speaker 1: of dig his old stuff. You know him at all? Taylor,
- 13:46Speaker 1: you know John Mellencamp, I don't. That's wild.
- 13:50Speaker 2: I mean, he's got at least twenty five hits that
- 13:53Speaker 2: you could sing along with like he was. You know,
- 13:56Speaker 2: Jack and Diane is probably the song that hurts so
- 13:59Speaker 2: good maybe that you would know what I mean.
- 14:03Speaker 1: It's just hit after hit. But anyway, johns touring.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Hockey's still on tour, so.
- 14:08Speaker 2: He hasn't toured in a while. And when he has toured,
- 14:11Speaker 2: he's very cantankerous. And there are millions of stories of
- 14:15Speaker 2: people going to see his concerts. He lights the audience
- 14:19Speaker 2: up for talking. People want to hear his hits. He
- 14:23Speaker 2: doesn't play his hits like He's really been a dick
- 14:26Speaker 2: for twenty years.
- 14:28Speaker 1: And I would never go see him live.
- 14:29Speaker 2: And I actually stopped listening to his music just because
- 14:31Speaker 2: I'd read so many stories about what a dicky is interesting.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Well, all of a sudden, he's had a change of heart.
- 14:36Speaker 2: He's in his seventies and he's like, I'm doing a
- 14:38Speaker 2: Greatest Hits Tour. I'm doing amphitheaters and arenas, I'm doing
- 14:43Speaker 2: all my hits. He hasn't played these songs in decades,
- 14:47Speaker 2: and it's audience friendly and he's like, you can sing.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Along or whatever.
- 14:51Speaker 2: And so then I got to thinking, well, what if
- 14:54Speaker 2: I pulled out some hits that I haven't played in
- 14:57Speaker 2: a while?
- 14:58Speaker 1: Allave John Mellencamp.
- 14:59Speaker 2: You know some of these songs that I did for
- 15:01Speaker 2: the Levatard Show where I was like, yeah, that'll never
- 15:04Speaker 2: see the light of day because it just never gained traction.
- 15:07Speaker 2: It wasn't that good, but it it it. So I
- 15:10Speaker 2: start looking for some of the songs that I've done.
- 15:12Speaker 2: There are some songs everybody remembers, but there are other
- 15:15Speaker 2: songs that kind of fell through the cracks. But I
- 15:19Speaker 2: found a segment actually of you and Dan and me
- 15:23Speaker 2: chopping it up over three songs where I'm kind of
- 15:26Speaker 2: doing like a VH one Storytellers thing where I'm just
- 15:30Speaker 2: talking about the music. And I guess the way we
- 15:33Speaker 2: got into it is Rafael Palmero. Remember he had testified
- 15:37Speaker 2: in front of Congress and it was like a disaster
- 15:39Speaker 2: because it did come out afterwards that he had used steroids.
- 15:43Speaker 1: And yes, I remember it. Didn't he like pointed all
- 15:45Speaker 1: the congregating point he did.
- 15:46Speaker 4: He was very striding over the fact that he had
- 15:48Speaker 4: never used steroids.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Yes, it came out that he did, and I did
- 15:52Speaker 2: a song to it, to the love Boat theme. It
- 15:56Speaker 2: wasn't great, but I guess I told Dan, hey you
- 15:58Speaker 2: should play this. I don't know what news was breaking
- 16:00Speaker 2: about Rafael Palmero, but I'm like, hey, you should play this.
- 16:03Speaker 2: And it got into a segment where we played a
- 16:06Speaker 2: few songs. So you're gonna hear in this little segment
- 16:09Speaker 2: the Rafael Palmerow song.
- 16:11Speaker 1: You're gonna hear my Michael Doliac song.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Oh Michael Doliak, Yeah, yeah, you remember Michael Doliac Taylor No.
- 16:19Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, my neck, my back, my Michael Doliac.
- 16:24Speaker 1: He was a white heat center was never very good.
- 16:28Speaker 2: And then something that I hadn't heard till I heard
- 16:31Speaker 2: this last night when I was listening to the segment,
- 16:34Speaker 2: a Donna Shalala song Get Out of Here.
- 16:37Speaker 1: You remember Donnas Shalela Taylor?
- 16:40Speaker 8: No.
- 16:41Speaker 5: So the only reason I really remember Michael Doliak is
- 16:44Speaker 5: he was a nick in the early two thousand.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Oh wow, I did not know this right. Well, I
- 16:49Speaker 1: did a song, it did not work.
- 16:50Speaker 2: And then Donashalela she was the president of the University
- 16:53Speaker 2: of Miami, but she had come from Bill Clinton's administration.
- 16:57Speaker 2: She was part of Bill Clinton's cabinet, and then she
- 17:00Speaker 2: came President of the Universe.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Was after Paul d correct.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and she's like four to seven. That's a tiny
- 17:05Speaker 2: little woman. But anyway, here is that segment. Think of
- 17:08Speaker 2: it as my John Mellencamp re emergence, playing some stuff
- 17:12Speaker 2: that I haven't played in years. Here is the segment
- 17:15Speaker 2: that I stumbled across yesterday.
- 17:18Speaker 8: Speaking of Paul Marrow, because I think this is topical
- 17:22Speaker 8: and timely.
- 17:33Speaker 9: Raffia lots of hits and home run, But you lie.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Bruner Jose shot Royds in.
- 17:46Speaker 10: Your mounzo raffe you said before Congress.
- 17:57Speaker 1: And you said you were clean. But now look.
- 18:02Speaker 5: At this man.
- 18:05Speaker 11: Paul Mao.
- 18:09Speaker 9: Uses Royds to hit those long ding dongs.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Pal Maro.
- 18:17Speaker 12: Uses viagra for a stronger Schlong.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Set a course for deception. People change their perception of you.
- 18:28Speaker 1: So Bank and Steroi.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Won't hurt anyone except Raffi, Conseko, Tony Mandridge and Ben Johnson.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Pal Marrow uses.
- 18:48Speaker 13: Royd's Palmrrow line to us Raffy help Paul Marrow.
- 18:55Speaker 11: Use starroids.
- 19:03Speaker 8: I wish we were gonna stayed quiet longer.
- 19:05Speaker 1: It's so dumb.
- 19:07Speaker 8: Go ahead and just find a couple of other songs,
- 19:09Speaker 8: some of your old classics that you want to play.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Because you forced that upon me. I don't know where
- 19:13Speaker 1: that came from.
- 19:14Speaker 8: You want some of his best he just said in
- 19:17Speaker 8: my ear moment ago.
- 19:20Speaker 12: I'm so glad you asked for some of my best
- 19:22Speaker 12: hits because next to it is a.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Song that I wrote many years ago.
- 19:29Speaker 12: This show we're doing, We're not a storytellers, all right, Okay,
- 19:33Speaker 12: many years ago I wrote a song and it didn't
- 19:35Speaker 12: become a big hit, but it really is one of
- 19:37Speaker 12: my best pieces of work. It was about Michael Doleiac.
- 19:39Speaker 12: Does anyone here remember Michael Doliac? Anyone here remember the
- 19:44Speaker 12: old Olivia Newton John song heart Attack. That may have
- 19:49Speaker 12: been my problem with this spoof song was that I
- 19:51Speaker 12: spoofed and Olivia Newton John song that nobody knew. But
- 19:55Speaker 12: I'm so proud of this piece of work. Can I
- 19:57Speaker 12: play this Michael Doleiac song?
- 19:59Speaker 1: Sure? Well?
- 20:03Speaker 2: With Casper doniacer rams It through Doiac, Doliac, Doliac.
- 20:07Speaker 11: Domiac, Doliac his first team, Doliac Oliac, Oliac cast for Domiak,
- 20:13Speaker 11: rams it through, rams It through, rams it through Doliac
- 20:18Speaker 11: Oliac Oliac.
- 20:19Speaker 1: The game goes by.
- 20:22Speaker 8: Jesus shacks legs.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Are we Oh my god? Zo's out of breath.
- 20:27Speaker 10: He just can't speak.
- 20:29Speaker 11: Doliac his first team.
- 20:32Speaker 1: What should Riley do.
- 20:35Speaker 10: To help out the this is playing in help Maybe
- 20:38Speaker 10: Wayne Simmey and but that's just crazy.
- 20:44Speaker 1: If the only what the pot us through, we need more.
- 20:53Speaker 1: We need to see more.
- 20:54Speaker 11: Doleac, Doliac secrets.
- 21:00Speaker 12: Michael Doliac.
- 21:04Speaker 9: He's so blind he might score seven.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Doleac not I can't catch my bread. I can't all
- 21:21Speaker 1: be winning looking us thinks.
- 21:31Speaker 9: I'm way past the point of Ronnie's cycle.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Doleacs the key to getting that ring.
- 21:41Speaker 11: Doliac his first heat.
- 21:43Speaker 12: If the heat only what they footing us.
- 21:48Speaker 14: Through, we need more, Mikelac, We need to see Moreliac
- 21:59Speaker 14: the secret.
- 22:01Speaker 11: Dolia Doliak, Doliak thro you.
- 22:06Speaker 8: It's being accused that this was played at Gitmo. It
- 22:10Speaker 8: was played at Gitmo while people were being waterboarded. But
- 22:15Speaker 8: we can keep playing some of your greatest hits. Howk
- 22:18Speaker 8: this is kind of a schmarmy sort of music show
- 22:21Speaker 8: feel to it. So if you want to tell us
- 22:23Speaker 8: the backstory behind another one of your cheesy hits.
- 22:26Speaker 1: That's what that be played.
- 22:27Speaker 4: Instead of waterboarding, that would be the form of torture combination.
- 22:30Speaker 8: It's comin if you really need to get get some
- 22:33Speaker 8: information out of out of a witness.
- 22:36Speaker 15: They have a very rare song that I rarely performed.
- 22:39Speaker 15: In fact, I only did it one day on the show.
- 22:41Speaker 15: We were having Donna Shalela on at five o'clock one afternoon.
- 22:46Speaker 15: She's the president of the University of Miami, and I
- 22:49Speaker 15: wrote a song about Donna Shalela coming on the show.
- 22:52Speaker 15: I don't I haven't performed this is a this is
- 22:55Speaker 15: a very special audience.
- 22:56Speaker 1: To me, and I haven't performed this. I can't remember
- 23:01Speaker 1: the last time I performed this. Do you want to
- 23:02Speaker 1: hear my? Shealeila soang?
- 23:04Speaker 8: But just for it's just for this audience, right, because
- 23:07Speaker 8: it means so much to you today's audience that that
- 23:10Speaker 8: that you want to do something special for them.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I won't be playing this in Utica. I am doing
- 23:14Speaker 1: this here because I like this crowd, this material. Yeah,
- 23:18Speaker 1: it's just it's something that I feel like firing off.
- 23:20Speaker 1: If you want to hear some of my my greatest hits,
- 23:22Speaker 1: this is this is for you, just for you, South Florida. Okay,
- 23:25Speaker 1: this is for you, South Florida.
- 23:27Speaker 8: And the reason we're playing it is absolutely not because
- 23:29Speaker 8: Stu Gotts and I are tired and don't want to
- 23:31Speaker 8: do the rest of the show.
- 23:34Speaker 1: What do we do in the five o'clock hour that's
- 23:38Speaker 1: not a slow song? Maybe talk some second?
- 23:42Speaker 10: Wait, we've been talking way too much Tobacca.
- 23:50Speaker 1: We need a.
- 23:51Speaker 10: Good guest on the line.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Chalet, okay, good who wants to leap? Schalaila h.
- 24:02Speaker 10: I'm begging Donna please shall Lailah Donah? Won't you please
- 24:09Speaker 10: come on our show? We've had on Henry Winkler. We've
- 24:21Speaker 10: even talked with Tom Osborne.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Like a fool. We've had on Zanka too.
- 24:31Speaker 13: And then he's shipwrecked in the barren sea.
- 24:36Speaker 10: Yeah, we need you on this show.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Chalela.
- 24:43Speaker 10: It's either you or Motmo Salalila, Zonka, Dona.
- 24:49Speaker 12: Won't you be on our crappy show?
- 24:55Speaker 1: There's more? No, that's it. There was more.
- 24:58Speaker 8: There was now that thankful. That's that's where Peter's.
- 25:01Speaker 1: That would go over well in Boston.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Was always they we're back on the back, live on
- 25:09Speaker 2: the pod now, but that's always one of the things
- 25:11Speaker 2: we would do stuff on the show, and like Boston
- 25:13Speaker 2: was such a great sports radio market, and we would
- 25:16Speaker 2: do something like that, and we look.
- 25:18Speaker 1: At each other and that would play well in Boston.
- 25:22Speaker 1: They're pound in Red Sox calls.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I mean literally doing two segments on whether Kurt Schilling
- 25:30Speaker 2: should have thrown a.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Curve or a fastball.
- 25:34Speaker 2: And we're doing Michael Doleak and Donna Shalela songs. Yeah,
- 25:37Speaker 2: I gotta tell you, that's Shalela song. Great song choice,
- 25:41Speaker 2: Leila from Eric Clapton. But just it was great.
- 25:45Speaker 4: It's underrated, you know, songs Sometimes you don't appreciate a
- 25:50Speaker 4: song until a couple of decades after the song was done.
- 25:53Speaker 4: You know, I totally agree with that.
- 25:55Speaker 2: In fact, this one that I'm gonna play for you
- 25:59Speaker 2: now since I feel the same way about this podcast
- 26:02Speaker 2: audience that I did during the audience during that segment
- 26:04Speaker 2: where I want to play some unreleased B sides or
- 26:07Speaker 2: songs that I haven't played in a while. This song
- 26:10Speaker 2: is not in that category. It's not brilliant and it's terrible.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I made this song.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Do you remember the receiver who caught the ball that
- 26:21Speaker 2: prevented the Dolphins.
- 26:23Speaker 1: From going winless in their one and fifteen.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Season, Oh, Greg Camario, Yeah, Greg Camrio, that is right.
- 26:29Speaker 2: So after he had that game winning catch against Baltimore,
- 26:33Speaker 2: I fired up a came Rio song.
- 26:35Speaker 1: I found this last night. This one is terrible.
- 26:38Speaker 2: It certainly fits into the mold of the three songs
- 26:42Speaker 2: you just heard, by the way, the Rafael Palmero song Taylor.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Do you know the love boat theme?
- 26:49Speaker 12: No?
- 26:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's so funny because that theme is
- 26:53Speaker 2: so well known, But you didn't even know the song
- 26:56Speaker 2: that I was spoofing, right, No, yeah, but.
- 27:00Speaker 4: That's the type of singer he would want to be
- 27:02Speaker 4: if he could actually sing.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Like Smarmie lounge singer.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Yes, the Michael Doleac song you didn't know? Olivia Newton
- 27:12Speaker 2: John Heart Attack. No, Eric Clapton Layla.
- 27:17Speaker 5: The only reason I know it is because I did
- 27:20Speaker 5: a Jalen Brunton parody song to Leila as well.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Oh okay, he did, yes, all right.
- 27:26Speaker 2: This Greg Camerrio song, I believe is to Duran Duran
- 27:31Speaker 2: Rio does that ring a bell Taylor.
- 27:35Speaker 4: No, no, Duran Duran, none of it. Rio was Mario
- 27:43Speaker 4: Chalmers to you. That's it nothing.
- 27:46Speaker 5: So the only reason why I know Duran Durant is
- 27:48Speaker 5: because I did a Chris Berman skit where I did
- 27:51Speaker 5: Jalen Duran and I called him Duran Durant.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Oh that's right, Yes he did. He did it, Chris per. Well,
- 27:57Speaker 1: here it is.
- 27:58Speaker 2: This has not been heard in years. Uh my, Greg,
- 28:01Speaker 2: camera yourself.
- 28:23Speaker 9: He runs the field and he searches for a goal line.
- 28:30Speaker 11: He wears Welker's.
- 28:31Speaker 9: Number, and I bet he's very nice across the mind
- 28:37Speaker 9: and let him look to the left. You're never gonna
- 28:41Speaker 9: catch this guy. You know you're something special and you
- 28:47Speaker 9: look like you're the best.
- 28:54Speaker 16: Greg Cameo Rio is the hero of the game. Greg
- 29:01Speaker 16: Camo Rio filled the Ravens team with Jane and when
- 29:08Speaker 16: he runs, he really shows you what he has. Oh,
- 29:15Speaker 16: camer Rio brought us to the Promise Land.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Kindam a banger? Hato's not even bopping his head. I
- 29:33Speaker 1: mean nothing but the real song, right? No, I thought
- 29:37Speaker 1: that was pretty good.
- 29:38Speaker 2: All right, then I'm gonna give you one that actually
- 29:41Speaker 2: is a banger as long as you had to sit
- 29:44Speaker 2: through Rafael Palmero, Michael Doliac, Don Schalela, and the Greg
- 29:48Speaker 2: Camerrio song this one. I was talking with Joshappel last
- 29:53Speaker 2: night telling him what I was doing on this pod,
- 29:56Speaker 2: and when I mentioned this song, he said, it's on
- 29:58Speaker 2: my Mount Rushmore Songs of.
- 30:01Speaker 1: This song hit.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Of Mark Cockman songs. Yeah, yeah, Okay.
- 30:07Speaker 4: I want Taylor to look up just so we can
- 30:09Speaker 4: have an idea of who Duran Duran is and what
- 30:12Speaker 4: they were Simon Labont. Just look up an image search
- 30:15Speaker 4: of you know, they're still touring. I know it's insane,
- 30:19Speaker 4: it's crazy, and he looks good man.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Yes.
- 30:22Speaker 4: So Joshchappelle put the next song as Taylor's looking that up.
- 30:25Speaker 1: He put this next song in his.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Personal Matt Rushmore of Mark Cokman parody songs.
- 30:31Speaker 2: And most people do. This is the idea of today's concert.
- 30:36Speaker 2: I may just sit through some songs that you hadn't
- 30:38Speaker 2: heard in a while, but when you're leaving the arena,
- 30:41Speaker 2: I'm going to give you an anthem. I'm going to
- 30:43Speaker 2: give you a banger, and this one, by the way,
- 30:47Speaker 2: I believe has the greatest ending of any song, not
- 30:52Speaker 2: just that I've created.
- 30:54Speaker 1: But any song in the history of music, I think
- 30:57Speaker 1: the editing at the end of.
- 31:01Speaker 2: This particular song, and it's not as long as the
- 31:04Speaker 2: audio clip may look to you, Taylor, because there's a
- 31:07Speaker 2: lot of bed at the end. Taylor's probably looking at
- 31:10Speaker 2: it going it's just an eight minute song, like what's
- 31:12Speaker 2: going on here?
- 31:13Speaker 3: But I think he's just the pictures of Simon Labond.
- 31:16Speaker 4: Now, if you're looking at eighties Simon Labond, you know
- 31:18Speaker 4: exactly what I'm talking about.
- 31:19Speaker 1: If you're looking at current pictures of Simon L. Bond,
- 31:22Speaker 1: I think he's holding well. I think he's holding up well.
- 31:25Speaker 4: No, I mean I have such a distinct.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Image of him from the eighties and the kings of
- 31:31Speaker 1: music videos.
- 31:32Speaker 2: I mean, there's the reason Duran Duran was so popular
- 31:34Speaker 2: is because they were so good looking and music videos
- 31:37Speaker 2: were everything back then.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Yes, no doubt.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Yeah, So this song, it's the Pirate song. Now, do
- 31:46Speaker 2: you remember the phase that we were in on the
- 31:49Speaker 2: radio show when we were enamored with pirates.
- 31:53Speaker 4: Yeah, there was there was Pirate Day down the Keys.
- 31:55Speaker 4: I believe we had Pat croche On, who is a
- 31:58Speaker 4: huge fan of Pie Rates and I think going to
- 32:00Speaker 4: the Pirate Museum of some store in the Keys.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Yeah, so I do remember the pirate phase. It was great, but.
- 32:06Speaker 1: There was something going on in the world that made
- 32:09Speaker 1: it even more exciting. Somali pirates.
- 32:12Speaker 2: That's right, you remember this, Yeah, you remember this, Taylor,
- 32:15Speaker 2: when the Somali I.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Mean you probably weren't even alive.
- 32:18Speaker 2: I mean no, this was like this had to be
- 32:21Speaker 2: like what two thousand and nine, maybe twenty ten, there
- 32:25Speaker 2: were all these Somali pirate hijackings of ships sailing around
- 32:32Speaker 2: the Horn of Africa, and we didn't know that, like
- 32:35Speaker 2: the world didn't know pirates still existed, but there were
- 32:39Speaker 2: Somali pirates and we were fascinated with this. On the show,
- 32:43Speaker 2: everybody in America was fascinated with the Somali pirates because
- 32:47Speaker 2: these big cargo ships were trying. In fact, did you
- 32:51Speaker 2: ever see Captain Phillips Captain Phelips, Yeah, yeah.
- 32:55Speaker 1: So you have an idea of what the Somali pirate
- 32:57Speaker 1: situation was like.
- 32:58Speaker 4: But that was like two thousand and eight to Ted Hawk.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Roughly in that it captured everyone.
- 33:03Speaker 2: So Billy Joel had that famous we didn't start the
- 33:07Speaker 2: fire song, and I remember Dan had said to me,
- 33:10Speaker 2: why don't you do a pirate song? And then I
- 33:13Speaker 2: was like, I'll just do pirates like old Pittsburgh pirates,
- 33:16Speaker 2: Bill Madlock, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, John Gruden, you know. And
- 33:23Speaker 2: I created what many considered to be one of the
- 33:28Speaker 2: greatest lyrical examples of quality.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Songwriting in the history of music.
- 33:36Speaker 2: But I'm telling you, when you get to the end,
- 33:39Speaker 2: I guess I wasn't exactly certain how to finish it
- 33:42Speaker 2: and punctuate it.
- 33:43Speaker 1: So I used a device at the end.
- 33:45Speaker 2: That I think is worthy of a Grammy if nothing else.
- 33:50Speaker 1: This is the Pirate song.
- 34:06Speaker 13: Blackbeard, Dale Baron, John McKay, Bill Day, walk the Plank,
- 34:10Speaker 13: I Patch, Vince Demaggie, oh, Bill mad Luck, Jim Froco,

- 36:42Speaker 2: I think the best reaction out of you is Freddie Pottek.
- 36:46Speaker 1: It was so good a Pelaso right.
- 36:49Speaker 4: It's absolutely amount rushmore of hot parody songs. I just
- 36:51Speaker 4: wrote down a few names that made me laugh. Richie Esisk,
- 36:55Speaker 4: somebody Jesus six Dolllekno always makes me sit. Till Uskana
- 37:02Speaker 4: was great ed Sprague, Bob Walk terrible name for a
- 37:09Speaker 4: picture now, Bob Walk. And then the Trailing Lance Parish
- 37:15Speaker 4: like just the Trailing Parishes.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Parish Parish a easy radio device Taylor throwing a little
- 37:23Speaker 2: echo and a repeat and that's a good way to
- 37:25Speaker 2: get out of anything.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Milt May was in there, May and Freddie Pottek. It
