  Speaker 2: sisters in Israel this happened in Jerusalem when some Muslims

  Speaker 2: radical new Muslims attacked and killed a group of people

  Speaker 2: and it happened on October october 7th my birthday i

  Speaker 2: think it was probably about three years ago now so

  Speaker 2: i tend to remember events and things that has happened

  Speaker 2: on my birthday even in las vegas there was a

  Speaker 2: shooting at mandalay bay it happened october 1st not on

  Speaker 2: my birthday but it was pretty close it happened in

  Speaker 2: to continue through the book of Jeremiah. We're in chapter 23.

  Speaker 2: And this is a serious warning once again from God.

  Speaker 2: God is confronting the prophets who are speaking in his name,
• 5:19
  Speaker 2: but never speaking. were sent by him. And so it's
• 5:25
  Speaker 2: important for us when we do assignments for God that
• 5:29
  Speaker 2: we are sent and that we did not just go
• 5:33
  Speaker 2: on ourselves. Our pastors say, he calls it, they went,
• 5:38
  Speaker 2: but they were not sent. So this is something that
• 5:43
  Speaker 2: we need to bring our attention to today as we
• 5:45
  Speaker 2: go through our episode, because just because somebody says God
• 5:49
  Speaker 2: told me doesn't actually mean that God actually told them.
• 5:57
  Speaker 2: So as we get into it, let's pray. Heavenly Father,
• 6:04
  Speaker 2: thank you, Lord, for giving me another year. Father, this
• 6:06
  Speaker 2: was in your books. This was already written. You said
• 6:10
  Speaker 2: that you would generously give this to me, Lord. Yes, God,
• 6:15
  Speaker 2: thank you for giving me 54 years on this planet.
• 6:19
  Speaker 2: I pray, Father God, that these years, the remaining years
• 6:22
  Speaker 2: will be valuable, will be useful in your hands for
• 6:26
  Speaker 2: your kingdom, O God, as I yield and I surrender,
• 6:30
  Speaker 2: O God, my heart to your word and to your
• 6:33
  Speaker 2: will and to your ordering. I ask, Lord, by your grace, Lord,
• 6:37
  Speaker 2: O Lord, I acknowledge those who had tragic events on
• 6:41
  Speaker 2: this day, October 7th, especially the beloved brethren in Jerusalem
• 6:47
  Speaker 2: and Israel, those attacks against your people, God. These are
• 6:54
  Speaker 2: your people who are called by your name, O God.
• 6:58
  Speaker 2: We ask for the peace of Jerusalem. And even here
• 7:02
  Speaker 2: in Las Vegas, oh God, the tragedy that happened October 1st,
• 7:05
  Speaker 2: we ask, Lord, for the families that have been suffering
• 7:10
  Speaker 2: in silence, the families that are still recovering from the
• 7:14
  Speaker 2: situation and incident, Lord God, even the family members of
• 7:19
  Speaker 2: the perpetrator who did the horrible acts of shooting out
• 7:25
  Speaker 2: the window, oh God, you even love him, oh God,
• 7:28
  Speaker 2: you even would have accepted him if he would have repented,
• 7:32
  Speaker 2: oh God. You have a loving heart. You love us
• 7:35
  Speaker 2: that much. I pray, Lord, that your will be done
• 7:38
  Speaker 2: in the recovery. And I pray that they will find
• 7:41
  Speaker 2: you in some way, somehow, Lord. We know, oh God,
• 7:46
  Speaker 2: that all things work out for good to those who
• 7:48
  Speaker 2: love you, oh God. And so we ask, oh God,
• 7:51
  Speaker 2: for that, oh God, Lord, to be applied to these situations,
• 7:56
  Speaker 2: oh God, that you will gain the glory that people
• 7:58
  Speaker 2: will be drawn to you. Oh, God, that eyes will
• 8:02
  Speaker 2: be open spiritually of the battle and the war that
• 8:05
  Speaker 2: is going on around us. We ask, Lord, that you'll
• 8:07
  Speaker 2: even use this podcast, this episode. Oh, God, as a weapon. Oh, God, oh, Lord,

  Speaker 2: against the dark forces as we exalt and lift up
• 8:17
  Speaker 2: the name of Jesus. Amen. Hallelujah. All right. Well, let's

  Speaker 2: get into it. Verse twenty one. It says, and we're
• 8:35
  Speaker 2: only going to go over four verses today, 21 through 24.

  Speaker 2: It says, I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. Amen.

  Speaker 2: I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I
• 8:54
  Speaker 2: have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. Amen. So

  Speaker 2: let me go ahead and just read all four. There's
• 9:10
  Speaker 2: only four verses and then we'll break them all down.

  Speaker 2: But if they have stood in my counsel, I had
• 9:18
  Speaker 2: caused my people and excuse me, but if they had
• 9:24
  Speaker 2: stood in my counsel and had caused my people to
• 9:27
  Speaker 2: hear my words, then they should have turned them from
• 9:31
  Speaker 2: their evil ways. And from the evil of their doings.
• 9:39
  Speaker 2: Am I a God at hand? Says the Lord. And
• 9:44
  Speaker 2: not a God afar off. Hallelujah. That's beautiful. He is
• 9:51
  Speaker 2: not far off, beloved. Can any hide himself in secret
• 9:55
  Speaker 2: places that I shall not see him? Says the Lord.

  Speaker 2: Do not I feel heaven and earth? Says the Lord. Wow.

  Speaker 2: He is huge. Amen. So verse 21, God says, I
• 10:13
  Speaker 2: have not sent these prophets yet. They ran. So that
• 10:22
  Speaker 2: is a powerful point right here. These men were active.
• 10:26
  Speaker 2: These men were speaking. These men were prophesying. They were
• 10:32
  Speaker 2: presenting themselves as messengers of God. But there was a problem.
• 10:44
  Speaker 2: God did not send them. You see, there's a difference
• 10:49
  Speaker 2: between being called by God and simply deciding that you
• 10:54
  Speaker 2: want to speak for God. Amen. And see, this also
• 11:01
  Speaker 2: happened and I encountered this in ministry. I've dealt with artists.
• 11:09
  Speaker 2: You know, sometimes artists can be difficult to work with
• 11:13
  Speaker 2: and minister to in a spiritual sense because A lot
• 11:17
  Speaker 2: of artists get the big head, I think, because they
• 11:20
  Speaker 2: can rap better than you. They have a better flow
• 11:23
  Speaker 2: or maybe they're getting recognition and they're listening to their
• 11:27
  Speaker 2: own press.
• 11:28
  Speaker 5: Right.
• 11:28
  Speaker 2: The people in the crowds are giving them their accolades
• 11:32
  Speaker 2: and all that. They think that they can go out
• 11:36
  Speaker 2: and do ministry when actually God did not send them.
• 11:40
  Speaker 2: It might not be their time. Now, God has a
• 11:44
  Speaker 2: plan for everyone. But some people are not. Everybody can't
• 11:51
  Speaker 2: be number one, right? There's got to be some number twos.
• 11:55
  Speaker 2: Maybe you were called to support a ministry instead of
• 12:03
  Speaker 2: starting your own. Maybe you were called to be a
• 12:08
  Speaker 2: supportive person. minister as far as your music or your gifts,
• 12:15
  Speaker 2: your talents, your spoken word. But a lot of people
• 12:19
  Speaker 2: want to establish their own brand. It's easy to do
• 12:23
  Speaker 2: so on social media. In the day of social media,
• 12:26
  Speaker 2: anybody can get a platform, right? But that doesn't mean
• 12:33
  Speaker 2: that they were sent by God or that doesn't mean
• 12:35
  Speaker 2: necessarily that God approves them. We got to tell by
• 12:39
  Speaker 2: the fruit. We got to look at their lifestyle and
• 12:43
  Speaker 2: their doctrine. What do they teach? Do they actually live
• 12:46
  Speaker 2: out what they're preaching? We can't just simply accept people
• 12:52
  Speaker 2: because we want to be nice guys. No, we have
• 12:55
  Speaker 2: to vet everyone who comes and say they speak in
• 12:59
  Speaker 2: the name of the Lord. Amen. Now there's a, Importance
• 13:08
  Speaker 2: of distinguishing between genuine ministry from God and ministry that
• 13:15
  Speaker 2: originates from man. Is this from man or is this
• 13:18
  Speaker 2: from God? The issue isn't just simply whether someone is
• 13:24
  Speaker 2: enthusiastic or sincere. You could be sincere. You could have
• 13:29
  Speaker 2: a zeal for God. You could be enthusiastic. But the
• 13:33
  Speaker 2: question is, did God send them? So that is something
• 13:39
  Speaker 2: we have to remember, especially in today's world, right? A
• 13:44
  Speaker 2: microphone doesn't make someone a preacher. And a large following
• 13:49
  Speaker 2: does not make someone a prophet necessarily. And even if
• 13:55
  Speaker 2: you have a video and you're going viral, does that
• 13:58
  Speaker 2: mean that you are anointed? And saying God told me
• 14:04
  Speaker 2: doesn't make it true. We have to measure faith. When
• 14:08
  Speaker 2: people say against the word of God, I know I
• 14:12
  Speaker 2: sound like a broken record, but we need to drill
• 14:16
  Speaker 2: that into our hearts and our minds, right? The word
• 14:20
  Speaker 2: of God is our final authority. Verse 22, God's word
• 14:26
  Speaker 2: should produce change, right? God says, but if they had
• 14:30
  Speaker 2: stood in my counsel and had caused my people to
• 14:35
  Speaker 2: hear my words and then something would have happened. Right?
• 14:42
  Speaker 2: Just simply, just simply the Lord is just saying, study
• 14:45
  Speaker 2: my words. Study to show thyself approved. Stand in my counsel.
• 14:54
  Speaker 2: And if they would have turned them from their evil way.
• 15:01
  Speaker 2: Now notice that a true messenger from God wasn't supposed
• 15:04
  Speaker 2: to simply make people feel good Especially about being a sinner.
• 15:12
  Speaker 2: It was supposed to turn people around. God's word confronts sin.
• 15:18
  Speaker 2: God's word corrects us. And God's word calls us to repentance.
• 15:25
  Speaker 2: To turn away. We ask God. I had to do
• 15:29
  Speaker 2: that today. This morning. As I was praying. Before I.
• 15:36
  Speaker 2: I recorded this podcast. I asked the Lord to change
• 15:40
  Speaker 2: my heart's desires. God is able to do that. And
• 15:44
  Speaker 2: then we feel a relief in our heart and spirit
• 15:47
  Speaker 2: when he answers. He loves those type of prayers. So
• 15:50
  Speaker 2: if there's something that you desire and you know it's
• 15:53
  Speaker 2: not of God, you can ask God to give you
• 15:55
  Speaker 2: new desires. Man, it's like this is a battle, but
• 16:03
  Speaker 2: we win. It is a fixed fight. All we have
• 16:05
  Speaker 2: to do is call upon the name of the Lord
• 16:08
  Speaker 2: and we get the victory over our flesh and over
• 16:11
  Speaker 2: the enemy. If we only just stand in his counsel,
• 16:16
  Speaker 2: stand in his presence. God's word calls us to repent.
• 16:22
  Speaker 2: God's word changes the direction of our lives. And we
• 16:28
  Speaker 2: change our desires, change the way we think. That's why
• 16:32
  Speaker 2: we have to renew our minds daily in the word
• 16:35
  Speaker 2: and not get caught up in following the evil dictates
• 16:39
  Speaker 2: of our own hearts. As it is repeated so many
• 16:43
  Speaker 2: times in this book that they were judged because they
• 16:48
  Speaker 2: listened to the dictates of their own hearts. And that's scary.
• 16:55
  Speaker 2: A lot of people put all their trust in their
• 16:58
  Speaker 2: own hearts when their own hearts is going to be
• 17:01
  Speaker 2: the biggest reason that they go to hell. Satan is
• 17:06
  Speaker 2: not your worst enemy. Your own heart is more dangerous
• 17:09
  Speaker 2: than Satan is any day. So there's a difference between
• 17:16
  Speaker 2: encouragement and false comfort. Sometimes we need to be encouraged,
• 17:21
  Speaker 2: but sometimes what we really need is correction. And only
• 17:26
  Speaker 2: the prideful will not receive correction. The Bible says fools
• 17:31
  Speaker 2: do not receive correction that is why we have the
• 17:35
  Speaker 2: accountability partner segment on this podcast to kind of open
• 17:41
  Speaker 2: up our eyes to the fact that a lot of
• 17:43
  Speaker 2: people trust their own hearts and they don't want to
• 17:47
  Speaker 2: be corrected because they don't want to give up their
• 17:49
  Speaker 2: desires they don't want to give up their lust when
• 17:54
  Speaker 2: new desires are available godly desires pure desires God can
• 17:59
  Speaker 2: make us holy from within if we only ask him to.

  Speaker 2: So if I'm walking in the wrong direction, I don't
• 18:09
  Speaker 2: need someone to tell me, keep going. You know what
• 18:12
  Speaker 2: I'm saying? That's a hater. That's straight from hell, right?

  Speaker 2: Don't tell me to keep going. Don't tell me everything
• 18:21
  Speaker 2: is fine. I need somebody to love me enough to say,
• 18:25
  Speaker 2: you're going the wrong way. Get back on the right path.

  Speaker 2: This is exactly what God's word does. I had a
• 18:36
  Speaker 2: conversation the other day. Shout out to my brother Zone

  Speaker 2: the fact that I guess I'm a little direct when
• 18:48
  Speaker 2: it comes to this. I'm usually a laid back person
• 18:53
  Speaker 2: by nature, but I get excited when it comes to
• 18:56
  Speaker 2: God's word. And there's been times in ministry, especially the
• 19:00
  Speaker 2: ministries that I was responsible for, that I've had to
• 19:03
  Speaker 2: confront sin. And even in the midst of it, I
• 19:07
  Speaker 2: might have been too hard or maybe too harsh. And
• 19:10
  Speaker 2: I lost relationships. People walked away from the ministry. People
• 19:14
  Speaker 2: even have an issue with me to this day. But
• 19:17
  Speaker 2: I'd rather take the heat so that they could hear
• 19:21
  Speaker 2: the truth and hopefully one day repent. then comfort them
• 19:26
  Speaker 2: in their sin and be an assist to their destruction.
• 19:30
  Speaker 2: I refuse to be used by the enemy to send
• 19:36
  Speaker 2: more people to destruction and damnation. With all that's in
• 19:39
  Speaker 2: my power, to my knowledge, and all that's in me,
• 19:43
  Speaker 2: I'm going to help people make it into the kingdom. Amen? Now,
• 19:50
  Speaker 2: verse 23 and 24. You cannot hide from God. So

  Speaker 2: here's a question here. Am I a God at hand?
• 20:06
  Speaker 2: Says the Lord. Or not a God of far off.
• 20:16
  Speaker 2: Am I reading it right? Am I a God at hand,
• 20:19
  Speaker 2: says the Lord, and not a God of far off.

  Speaker 2: All right. So in other words, can anyone hide himself
• 20:28
  Speaker 2: in secret places that I shall not see him? And
• 20:33
  Speaker 2: the answer is pretty obvious, right?
• 20:35
  Speaker 5: No.

  Speaker 2: God sees every single thing. So you may hide something
• 20:42
  Speaker 2: from people. You may be good at hiding from your spouse,
• 20:48
  Speaker 2: the cops, hiding things from your children, your pastor, even
• 20:53
  Speaker 2: your friends. And you may be able to trick people
• 20:59
  Speaker 2: and deceive people. You may even convince yourself that nobody knows.

  Speaker 2: But even the best con artists don't. Will be exposed
• 21:12
  Speaker 2: on that day. God sees everything.
• 21:17
  Speaker 3: So.
• 21:19
  Speaker 2: I think of the things that are done in secret.
• 21:22
  Speaker 2: Behind closed doors. By our governments. Others world. Even the cults.
• 21:28
  Speaker 2: And the satanic rituals. And the things. Satan thrives in secret.
• 21:34
  Speaker 2: That's why even. I love. In sin, sin gets its
• 21:38
  Speaker 2: power when it's hidden secret. That's why I like to
• 21:41
  Speaker 2: expose things and bring things to light. That's why I'm
• 21:45
  Speaker 2: transparent about my struggles in my walk with God, even
• 21:50
  Speaker 2: when I'm on this podcast, because I know when we
• 21:53
  Speaker 2: expose sin, sin loses its power. The Bible tells us
• 21:57
  Speaker 2: to confess our faults to one another and pray for
• 22:01
  Speaker 2: one another that we may be healed, right? That's a
• 22:04
  Speaker 2: part of accountability. Now, the Lord is reminding these false
• 22:10
  Speaker 2: prophets that they cannot operate secretly and believe that God
• 22:14
  Speaker 2: doesn't know what they are doing. God isn't limited by
• 22:22
  Speaker 2: distance and time. Time and distance, location does not affect God.
• 22:27
  Speaker 2: It says right here, which is amazing, he feels the
• 22:31
  Speaker 2: heaven and earth and sees what happens in both public
• 22:37
  Speaker 2: and private. Now, that should both convict us and encourage us.
• 22:44
  Speaker 2: It's convicting because we cannot hide sin from God. God
• 22:50
  Speaker 2: sees it. He's looking at it. He's writing it down.
• 22:54
  Speaker 2: He's evaluating it. But it's also encouraging because God also
• 23:00
  Speaker 2: sees the things nobody else sees. He sees our prayers.
• 23:05
  Speaker 2: He sees our faithfulness. He sees our struggling. He sees
• 23:10
  Speaker 2: when we fight. He sees what you're trying to do.
• 23:15
  Speaker 2: And he sees when you're trying to do what's right.
• 23:20
  Speaker 2: Even when nobody gives you credit. He sees everything. And
• 23:26
  Speaker 2: because he sees, we need to live honestly before him. Amen.

  Speaker 2: So maybe you went to church early and swept the
• 23:35
  Speaker 2: parking lot and nobody saw you. The pastor didn't acknowledge you.
• 23:39
  Speaker 2: He didn't publicly thank you. And people didn't clap for
• 23:44
  Speaker 2: you in church. I'm speaking from experience. Maybe they didn't
• 23:51
  Speaker 2: acknowledge that, but God saw your faithfulness. I remember that
• 23:56
  Speaker 2: I just wanted to keep my father's house clean. So
• 23:59
  Speaker 2: I was in the parking lot sweeping up cigarette butts
• 24:02
  Speaker 2: and And it was just, I'm like, I want to
• 24:05
  Speaker 2: do this to please my father. It doesn't matter if
• 24:09
  Speaker 2: nobody sees or knows, God sees. So that's why I
• 24:13
  Speaker 2: own your job or, you know, when you want to be,
• 24:16
  Speaker 2: he sees everything we do. So we want to be faithful, right?
• 24:20
  Speaker 2: With our assignments. Even we try to teach our children,
• 24:25
  Speaker 2: you know, when we tell them to do the dishes
• 24:28
  Speaker 2: and do their chores, right? God sees how it's done
• 24:32
  Speaker 2: if we do it halfway or if we do everything
• 24:37
  Speaker 2: with a diligent and with a great attitude. And, you know, myself,
• 24:43
