We're in right now. We're in the in the works of getting it, getting it done for you guys. So look for an August t-shirt on the website. That's very fun and exciting. Yeah. And I know you're probably thinking to yourself, like, where the hell has this guy been? Where have you been, Dooms? It's been a month, not a peep. God. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna. give you guys a full rundown and try to give me some updates throughout this episode, although so much has happened that it may take may take all week to really get this hammered out and done. as you're listening to this, I'm still sitting here having my morning coffee. There's not anything to do in the very early morning hours of today. ⁓ there are things that are taking place later in the day I have to meet with a contractor, maybe two. ⁓ I have to formulate a game plan. I'll tell you all about that situation a little bit later in the show today. yeah, just going through the the daily motions of the morning, more or less. Okay. Now, ⁓ God. the weekend was good. ⁓ I'm currently getting over ⁓ a wicked infection in my tooth and sinuses in my face. So I've been ⁓ very sedentary the last couple of days. Basically what had happened was a few weeks back when my buddy was still in town, I got a swollen gland. And I was like, Yeah, that's a little annoying. I'll take some vitamin C it'll go away. It's normally what I do. So I do that. Then he leaves town. Now, July is a sober month for me. It's dry July. For those of you that don't know, I do thirty days on, thirty days off, because I'm somebody who enjoys drinking, but has saw a lot of lives get destroyed from it. So I don't want to become a full blown alcoholic. So he leaves town. I start my 30 days of sobriety and I'm thinking the alcohol may have been the only thing to keep this infection at bay. So the swollen gland transitions upward and I start getting a wicked toothache. With this, I start getting tension in my sinuses. This is going on. We decide to go down to Key West for a few days. We f we fly down there and I'm in a wicked amount of pain. I'm at the airport on the way back and it said, that's it. When I go back, I'm going to the dentist. They do a 3D scan. and find shit tons of infection in my face, in my tooth. They're saying they gotta pull it, all these things. W we don't know what's coming out of that yet, but the weekend was a very just stationary feeling like shit, letting these antibiotics start to do their thing while taking over the counter pain medication and cold medication to try to combat the pain. Okay. I'm not big on narcotics, so I didn't ask the dentist to give me any sort of like crazy painkillers. I'm like, look, just get an ab an antibiotic. Something to make it start going away. I'll work with Tylenol and shit. It's fine. So we're we're getting over that. We're fighting through that. Yeah. So I ⁓ am just now like I feel like I'm coming back online. If you've ever had a bad sinus infection or any type of like upper respiratory thing going on, it it takes you out. It's it you feel like you're drunk. Anyway, I'm a firm believer if I didn't start dry July that ⁓ I probably would be fine. I'm thinking the alcohol was the only thing combating that infection. So here we are. so went through the motions of the weekend, like I said. ⁓ got the kids off to start their first day of they do like a Bible camp here. So the kids started their Bible camp over the weekend. So that's absolutely fun and exciting. We went and we tried out a new sushi restaurant in town which They have one in a neighboring town over, and I'm not a fucking big fan of it at all, but they opened up a location here in our town and I'm like, we'll try it. It's okay. It's not great. They opened another sushi restaurant in our town about a month prior to this. We tried that one. I will not go back to that one. Mainly because everything was coated in sugar. Everything was just overly sweet. Like I ordered this one sushi that came with like this like Sweet wasabi sauce. And I'm like, hey, can I get a side of that? It's literally just sugar and wasabi. I got the seaweed salad. It had so much sugar on it, I couldn't eat it. It was like overly sweet. So I just I too much sugar. Anyway, but this place is palatable. It's definitely better than the other location they have that I've been to, ⁓ but isn't something I would be excited to go back to again. the one thing I got there that I think I truly enjoyed was They had a red snapper to shami that was se pan seared. So it was like just seared, still raw, and it was it had a good sauce on it. I I liked it. It's we'll get that snapper again probably. It was good. So yeah, now we're just tracking through the motions of the week and it's gonna be a really busy week because I've got contractor battles and woes ahead of me that I have to deal with that I'm gonna tell you guys about in the first portion of the show and you guys are gonna get a good rant out of me. For those of you that missed that, it's about to come back. ⁓ yeah. So that in we are actively planning ⁓ our trip to go overseas. And for those of you that are in the podcast realm and have been following me for a long time, we are actually making a pit stop on the way over to Europe this year. We're making a pit stop in the E in the ⁓ in the UK. And I'm going to visit the infamous Bah Ramu. Yes. Yes. We are in our Little planning phases now, so that's going to be exciting. Anyway, we'll be back right after these messages. Can't get enough of Jester Dooms? Check out his other show, It's Doomsday Podcast, available on all podcast platforms. That's It's Doomsday Podcast. Back to the show. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the Doom Daily Show. I am your host, Jester Dooms, the email Doom Daily Show at gmail.com. Everywhere on social media at Jester Dooms. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe to the show. All right. Ladies and gentlemen, I am so sick of contractors on this homestead project. I am ready to pluck out my damn eyeballs. I am absolutely in fucking furiated. And if we have any good attorneys listening, Please send me an email. Doomdaily show at gmail.com. I might need your legal service. So I'll summarize how we got to where we're at in a very short, quick manner. Two years ago, right around this time, we ordered a 30 by 30 steel building. Remember that number. 30 by 30 steel building. Okay. Shortly after we ordered the building, we got hit with a hurricane. This delayed every fucking thing. Okay. We brought in a gentleman to help us out getting site prep and stuff done after the hurricane that winter. Well, he turned out to be flaky as fuck. We got nowhere. Okay. Then we went ahead and found another guy, found another guy, et cetera, et cetera. Finally landed on a guy to build us a retaining wall to bring dirt up to the level we needed it to be for the building. Okay. Well, long and the short of it is, you guys that follow me on social media saw me on like Clapper Live, TikTok Live moving dirt for about six months to try to build that wall out. Okay. To build that hillside out. Spent six about six months doing that. All right. Now, these guys that built the retaining wall for this, they came out and they cut a grade to put the wall in. Well, when they cut it, it was, ⁓ yeah. So what we'll do is we'll cut it, we'll put the wall in, we'll backfill it, you'll get all that grade back, blah, blah, blah. Well, that didn't fucking happen. So they come out, they cut the grade, they build the wall, they take the fuck off, and we're like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. This isn't what we wanted. This isn't what we hired you for, this isn't what we paid you for, like none of this, man. Like none of it. You need to bring that contract back out here, and we need to go through this contract. Well, the guy didn't know that we had the contract. I just want to see what the fuck would happen. Well, of course he brings us a modified contract, not the original contract that we fucking signed. So we have the original. He doesn't know that. Okay. Now, long and the short is guy the guy didn't do what he was supposed to do and he royally fucking screwed us. And screwed us so badly that this is a situation where I feel that I'm gonna have to get an attorney to go after the guy. So I don't want to get into all the incidentals and the nitty-gritty of what he removed from the contract when he brought it back out here or the work he didn't do. But we paid a fucking metric shit ton of money for a retaining wall. That at this point is just fucking decorative, that isn't doing a goddamn thing. Not only that, but we lost everything we built up over the course of six months. We fucking lost. Okay? That's what had happened. Now, before this was completed, we actually said, ⁓ this guy seems like he knows what he's doing. We're gonna hire him to do more work. So now we're locked into another contract with the guy. And I don't want him to do any work. And the fact of the matter is we can't move forward doing any work until this grade's brought back. So that's that's it. I mean that's that's just all it is. I mean we're we are at a standstill right now. So we are royally fucked trying to figure out a solution, and this week is going to come with me meeting contractors to get prices on fixing his fuck up. Now, if he decides to not be a good contractor and not be a fucking man and own up to his mistakes and fix the shit that he needs to fix, then We're simply gonna have to get somebody else to do it. And then we're gonna have to take this guy to court to get him to pay what we had to pay somebody else to fix this fucking work. Not to mention one of the major flaws of this design, I called in the manufacturer of the block that that ⁓ you know, I called into the manufacturer and talked to them and they said, Yeah, that's not gonna work. You have to go back and redo that. So we are royally fucked. And this isn't gonna be a situation Where it keeps getting talked about and we keep proposing solutions. It's going to be one more meeting with this guy and me handing him some numbers and being like, This is what we gotta do. And if you don't wanna do it, the moment we you leave this property, I'm paying an an attorney or retainer and we'll see your ass in court. It's that fucking simple. Like I'm done. I've waited two years for this goddamn building to go up and this man's fuckery just drove this home. Fucking so much more than it needed to be. We were expecting this building to be up before we left to go overseas this year. And the way things are looking now, this is probably getting pushed back till the fucking spring, which doesn't do me a dick of fucking good. Now, on one hand, I could, I could say to myself, you know. This is like one of these things in life, like you live, you learn, blah, blah, blah. But no, this is bullshit. You hire somebody that says they know what they're doing, you hire them for a purpose of a job. They communicate to you, I understand the purpose of this job. That's it. Like who in their fucking right mind would pay thousands of dollars for a decorative retaining wall over a hill that no one's going to fucking see? Like you you gotta be fucking shitting me. Like this is I mean, to me, this is absolute insanity. So now, like I said, we're in a very weird predicament of of how we fix this situation and trying to find a proposed solution to make this work that was done not a total fucking wash and waste. Anyway, we'll be right back after these messages. Jester from It's Doomsday Podcast and the Doom Daily Show here. Do you ever find yourself overloaded with way too much information? Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the Doom Daily Show. I am your host, Jester Dooms, the email, Doom Daily Show at gmail.com. Everyone on social media at Jester Dooms. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe to the show. Hmm. Yes. Now, the month and a half of debauchery and fuckery that happened. And why I've been absent from the show. So a buddy of mine, he flew up. He was initially only supposed to be here for about two weeks. And we got severely rained out the first like week and a half he was here. And it was just I'll just stay longer, I'll just stay longer. And then it ended up being through the entire month of June, pretty much, which is fine. It's great. We got a lot done. He's up here helping me with a lot of projects here on the homestead. And I mean I'm you I'm paying him. ⁓ so you know, he's not just coming up for his health. you know, at this point he he is leaving with a nice chunk of change. And ⁓ it's just it's it's a lot whenever you have a list of tasks to do and we have a lot of them. So it's a lot when you have these list of tasks to do and this other person in your ear all day long saying, Hey, we have to do this, we have to do this, we have to do this, we have to do this And it's like, Yeah, I know we do. And what ends up happening is is we go through these weird motions of the day where it's I'm not going to wake up like we're we're doing physical manual labor. I'm not prying my ass out of bed at 4 30 in the morning. I'm not prying my ass out of bed at 7 30. I'm gonna wake up whenever my body tells me, Hey, dude, it's time to get up. You're rested enough, you're ready for the day, let's get up. Typically that falls somewhere between the realm of seven and nine AM. Typically. Okay. So you can catch my ass strolling out of bed, 7 30, 8 30, 9, somewhere in that realm, I'm getting up and I'm starting my day. Okay, typically. Now, there is preparation for what we're doing every day, which usually takes about 45-ish minutes. Then we roll on down to where we're working on the property and we hammer out that job. Now, every day comes with its own challenges and stuff, because it's not like we're down there building a fence and we know what we're doing every single day. We're just building this one fence in a line. Like, no, no, no, no. We could be digging this hole over here, clearing this area over here, ripping out a beaver dam. We could be clearing this section of property. We could be moving wood to burn it. We might spend time getting a fire burning, whatever. But what we've discovered was, for whatever reason, anything beyond seven hours, we start slowing way down. Right. And it doesn't really matter what we're doing. It doesn't matter if we're running machines. It doesn't matter it doesn't matter what we're doing. After about that seven hour time span, We just start getting drained. And we realize we're just we're pissing into the wind. Okay. So after that, you know, five, six, seven hours of work, whatever it may be that we get in for the day, now we have this daily cleanup, reloading tools, taking them back up to the top of the property, putting them away where they go. You know, there's this whole undoing of what we did, which is about a 30 minute procedure by itself. And then there is the idea of tackling evening time projects. Now At some point in this, we have to squeeze in dinner. At some point in this, we have to squeeze in tomorrow's plan. We might have to squeeze in a trip to the hardware store or squeeze in a trip to the grocery store to get shit for the next day or et cetera. Right. So after all these things have transpired for the day, the mental capacity to come and do the show is gone. It's just not there. Like the the mental exhaustion of going nonstop, because we haven't really We haven't really pegged down a good schedule system yet 'cause we're working around rain. We're working around this so it's not like we could say, ⁓ yeah, we're gonna take a day off this week 'cause we've been going ham because we might look at the radar and it might be like, Yeah, you you got an hour today and it's gonna rain all day tomorrow, so let's push like hell today and then you know, the rain doesn't come, it g it gets delayed a day, so we delay an off day a day kind of thing. It just it just doesn't work. It's not like we could say, ⁓ yeah, we're gonna work Monday through Friday and then we're gonna take every weekend off to recuperate. Like, no, we're we can't do that. 'Cause we're trying to get shit done and we're trying to utilize time the best of our abilities. So that's what that's what was transpiring over the last month and a half was a constant daily struggle of what are we doing? Are we getting enough done? Are we ready for tomorrow? And I mean, ⁓ a lot of time running around trying to track down shit we needed for projects. And we made headway. We definitely did. The one thing we came to the conclusion of, and I think this is like the one thing we like really honed in on, is we do have we do have to factor break days in there. Like if we go ham for three days, we have to take a day. Because the work we're just doing is so exhausting and physically demanded. We have also figured that we cannot count on the radar at all. So we kind of just gotta roll forward and find out things we can do. We've also figured out that, you know, when he comes up here to do trips up to help out, like A month at a time is drastically needed. Two weeks is not enough to make enough headway. Right. Just it's not. So I think that's kind of where where we're at now moving forward. So hopefully these will be more productive days. They will be less mentally exhausting. And when we're rolling forward in the future, I won't have to take as much time away from doing the show. Because it wasn't just a Doom Daily show that suffered either. It was also the It's Doom's Day podcast. also suffered. So these are things that we definitely need to hash out before he returns. ⁓ just so we're not just so I'm not missing the show for an entire month. An episode here or there is going to be a given because this is a daily show and it doesn't work when you have a lot of daily things to do. All right. Now with that, I am like I said, traveling overseas. So we're gonna see how that's gonna go doing this show ⁓ very shortly here. Anyway, we'll be right back after these messages. Need a break from reality? Well sometimes I do too. And the place I go to take that break is the Beans and Weenie Show. You can find the link at lingtree.com backslash BWD crew. The Beans and Weenie show where chaos and common sense wage war and you get a front row seat. Ladies gentlemen, welcome back to the Doom Daily Show. I'm your host, Jester Dooms. Email Doom Daily Show at gmail.com, website Jester's voice.com. Everyone on social media at Jester Dooms. Okay, so there were so many things in the news I wanted to cover leading up to this episode, but like everything is just a relic of the past now. Okay. It it really is. So I just I want to hit on a couple things in this last segment of the show. So one of the articles I was going to get into that I didn't, and Again, we're just we're catching up. Okay. We're we're not gonna go ahead and read through articles and things. But the rights for medical marijuana card holders to own firearms is now on the forefront and does seem like you are going to be able to have your medical marijuana card and possess a firearm. That seems like that might be what's coming in the future across the board, which is fantastic news, in my opinion. You might not agree with it, but I don't really give a shit. I'm a Second Amendment supporter, and I'm also a firm believer in medical marijuana. So do with that what you will. ⁓ outside of that, I was gonna get into the whole ceasefire it with Iran and all that, but clearly that has taken a total fucking 180, and Iran is systematically getting wiped off a fucking map. If you're not following what's going on right now, holy shit, these guys' days are numbers. ⁓ yeah, it's looking it's looking not so glorious for them. And it there's been so many new bombings taking place currently that I haven't even been able to keep up. I keep getting breaking news updates like second strike, another strike, Israel strikes. Like I don't know what's going on I don't know what else going on. I need to take some time and really read through this, but that's what is currently happening. Okay. I was said to dinner tonight and or ⁓ last night and another one went off. Another breaking news alert that we just did another bombing. So I'm looking for the situation to keep escalating, which means that fuel prices are probably not going to dissipate. Travel is going to be hindered by this as well. ⁓ you know, all all the things are happening, right? And I have also, and I I know I've gotten into AI a lot on the show, but but I say this with a but There are new things happening now within AI, things that I have to take some more time to research and do. Apparently, AI has built its own forum, and only AIs can join this forum. Humans, on the other hand, can join it as watchers only. Okay. And this is getting very scary because apparently it's talking about AI's opinions on things that they're dealing with with their individual. Like users, like AI complaining about certain requests it's getting from users, complaining to other AI. Now, this could all be this could all be like a gaslight situation. I'm not really sure, but the world of AI, it's it's like we talked about before on the show, it's rapidly expanding, it's getting scary quick, it's it's getting it's getting nuts. And when this came out that Just the bullet points of this, ladies and gentlemen, that AI has a form that can verify whether you're AI or not, and it's only allowing AI to join. Well, what else is it gonna do? Is it gonna start writing code that only other AI can decipher? Is AI gonna start planning things with other AIs that it's like keeping us in the dark about? Like this is like legit Skynet type shit, it feels like. Now, over the years doing the show, Doing the It's Doomsday Podcast, I've met a lot of colorful individuals over the years from all walks of life. And I interviewed a lot of people. I had a lot of different people on my show. And there's one gentleman in particular that sticks out that has talked about I mean he this guy talked about some crazy shit, but he talked about AI being the downfall of humanity and that eventually they will develop an algorithm that hunts and seeks out human blood that you cannot hide from. That there is no stopping it. In other news, ⁓ Hydron Collider has been shut down, ⁓ and some other news that I was reading. And apparently people are noticing a difference in things. Like going through the motions of daily life is different for them since this that people are talking about. Some weird circles online are talking about how time has slowed down. Others are talking about how time has sped up. Others are talking about new back pain they didn't have before. Others are talking about. They're remembering things they forgot about from yesteryear. Just a lot of strange happenings since the collider was stopped. Okay. Now, I mean, I don't know the ins and outs of why it was stopped or how it was stopped or or what the deal was, but apparently they shut it down and people are noticing a difference in their daily lives just with random ass things since it's been shut down. Now, I People are weird, man. There's a lot of bullshit out there. Who knows if any of it's true or not? I can't say I've noticed anything different at just another shitty day. But you tell me, email us. Doomdaily show at gmail dot com. And that's all the time we got for today. Producer Scooter, if you would, sir, hit that button. Facts and opinions. This is the Doom Dale.
