- 0:28Speaker 4: Okay.
- 0:29Speaker 2: It's like real smooth and like this every time she
- 0:32Speaker 2: takes my order through the drive-thru. And so I've told
- 0:35Speaker 2: her before, I've been like, girl, you need to be
- 0:38Speaker 2: a voice actor. You need to read novels. And today
- 0:41Speaker 2: I pull up, I was like, why are you not?
- 0:43Speaker 2: Because she's young. She's like in college. I was like,
- 0:45Speaker 2: why are you not famous yet from reading? But I
- 0:48Speaker 2: figured out what she needs to do even better. I
- 0:51Speaker 2: was like, you need to do those ASMR TikTok videos.
- 0:53Speaker 5: I was about to say, it sounds like you've got
- 0:55Speaker 5: an ASMR queen at the Starbucks you go to.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Thank you for coming to Starbucks. Here's your Starbucks order.
- 1:01Speaker 4: I hate that. Don't do that.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Here's your grande frappuccino.
- 1:05Speaker 4: No, don't do that. That's awful.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Would you like a cake pop with that?
- 1:10Speaker 4: God, that's awful.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Stop.
- 1:11Speaker 4: I hate ASMR, and that's disgusting.
- 1:17Speaker 2: I love that. She would be so good. And she's cute.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I was like, let me be your manager. I'll be
- 1:22Speaker 2: a millionaire with you.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Come on. Let's make some money, girl.
- 1:27Speaker 2: She thinks I'm crazy. I mean, she's not wrong. She's not.
- 1:30Speaker 4: She's not. She is not.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Anyway, good morning. Thank you for listening to the show.
- 1:34Speaker 2: If you want some ASMR, here's what's coming up.
- 1:38Speaker 4: And if you don't.
- 1:39Speaker 2: What the hell headlines at 6.50?
- 1:43Speaker 4: God, that is awful. Stop it.
- 1:44Speaker 2: It's so good. Okay, anyway, thanks for listening.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Stop.
- 1:48Speaker 1: It's what the hell headlines.
- 1:49Speaker 2: What the hell are you talking about?
- 1:51Speaker 1: On the Alabama show.
- 1:54Speaker 2: There's a new pumpkin that's made the world record for
- 1:56Speaker 2: the largest pumpkin ever.
- 1:58Speaker 1: What the hell?
- 2:00Speaker 4: Get that out of here. I don't eat pumpkin. I
- 2:03Speaker 4: do not like this.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Let me tell you how much it weighs. There's a
- 2:06Speaker 2: pumpkin in Rhode Island. It just beat the world record
- 2:08Speaker 2: during a weigh-off. 3,156 pounds.
- 2:13Speaker 4: How do you do that? Do they have the special
- 2:15Speaker 4: magic seeds?
- 2:16Speaker 2: I don't know. Listen to this.
- 2:18Speaker 4: You can see it. I can't. Ronnie, hit the button.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Two, one.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Yeah! That was the layoff.
- 2:32Speaker 1: 31-56. What the hell? Super easy trivia with The Alabama Show.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Producer Blake, let's see how smart you are.
- 2:39Speaker 4: We're going to, yeah, let's see. I hope you get
- 2:43Speaker 4: it right.
- 2:43Speaker 2: You know, there's parents driving kids to school right now,
- 2:46Speaker 2: and their kids are depending on you to teach them.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Before they get to the classroom.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Okay yeah That's not a weight on my shoulders at
- 2:54Speaker 3: all Alright question number one How many letters are in
- 2:58Speaker 3: the alphabet Alright kids it's 26 Alright next one.
- 3:04Speaker 2: What's the largest state In the United States of America Oh, Alaska.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Alaska would be.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Most people forget. Most people guess Texas. Alaska is bigger
- 3:16Speaker 2: than Texas.
- 3:17Speaker 4: No, it's Alaska. Yeah.
- 3:18Speaker 2: All right. Last one. This one's harder.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Okay.
- 3:21Speaker 2: But you're a science nerd.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Okay.
- 3:22Speaker 2: So you may get it.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:24Speaker 2: But also you may not because you haven't had your
- 3:26Speaker 2: caffeine yet.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Okay.
- 3:28Speaker 2: You think you got it?
- 3:30Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 3:31Speaker 2: For the win. Okay. Producer Blake, what scientist is known
- 3:35Speaker 2: for the equation E equals MC squared?
- 3:39Speaker 4: That would be Einstein.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Albert Einstein. Okay.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Albert Einstein.
- 3:45Speaker 2: For the win. Congratulations. You won.
- 3:57Speaker 4: Thank you. I kind of nailed it.
- 3:59Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with the Alabama Show.
- 4:02Speaker 2: The Birmingham Zoo has a new baby giraffe. Onduli is
- 4:06Speaker 2: his name. He's a one-year-old male giraffe that arrived from
- 4:09Speaker 2: the Dallas Zoo this past week. And so now, if
- 4:12Speaker 2: you love to go to the Birmingham Zoo, you can
- 4:14Speaker 2: watch Onduli grow up and become a part of the
- 4:16Speaker 2: zoo's giraffe herd in the Trails of Africa. He will
- 4:19Speaker 2: be the only male. Right now, the Birmingham Zoo has
- 4:21Speaker 2: three other females. Alanis Morissette announced her first ever holiday album.
- 4:26Speaker 2: The millennial in me is so excited for this. It's
- 4:30Speaker 2: called Good Weather for Immaculate Conception. It'll be out November 6th.
- 4:34Speaker 2: It has 14 songs, two original songs, along with Christmas classics.
- 4:38Speaker 2: She also collaborates with Brandi Carlile, Steve Martin, Martin Short,
- 4:41Speaker 2: and so much more. It's going to be so good.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I cannot wait. November 6th, the day that will be out.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Ben Affleck is just like producer Blake because he just
- 4:50Speaker 2: admitted that he trash talks kids he doesn't know online
- 4:52Speaker 2: while playing Fortnite.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Like all good grown men should do.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Yeah. He was on Travis Kelsey and Jason Kelsey's podcast
- 4:59Speaker 2: and he talks about how savage 12 year olds are,
- 5:01Speaker 2: which producer Blake, I'm sure you could testify.
- 5:04Speaker 4: I 100% agree, Ben.
- 5:05Speaker 2: They probably know more cuss words than we do.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Well, they do.
- 5:08Speaker 2: He said he ends up getting in arguments with the
- 5:10Speaker 2: kids and they'll tell him that he sucks and he'll
- 5:12Speaker 2: be like, I don't suck. I'm a grown man.
- 5:14Speaker 4: He shouldn't have said that. That's a bad start.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Don't do that.
- 5:17Speaker 2: There's some other words in there I can't say on
- 5:19Speaker 2: the radio, but yeah. If you're a Fortnite player, you
- 5:22Speaker 2: may run into Ben Affleck. You never know. You may
- 5:24Speaker 2: be playing Batman one day. That is three things you
- 5:27Speaker 2: need to know. More at thealabamashow.com.
- 5:32Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Good morning, Amanda. What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 5:39Speaker 7: My fiance messaged an Instagram model, and I'm fuming.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Oh, my God. That's why we do Ask Alabama. If
- 5:45Speaker 2: you ever have an issue, we do our best to help.
- 5:48Speaker 2: What is going on? Why did he message an Instagram model? Yeah,
- 5:52Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 5:54Speaker 7: So he came home drunk from golf, and I was
- 5:56Speaker 7: already upset with that because he had promised he was
- 5:58Speaker 7: going to quit drinking.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Right, Felicia.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Right.
- 6:00Speaker 7: And then he passed out. And so I decided to
- 6:04Speaker 7: look at his phone and see what he had been
- 6:06Speaker 7: getting into. And an hour before he got home, he
- 6:09Speaker 7: had messaged an Instagram model who has like.
- 6:12Speaker 4: A million followers.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 6:14Speaker 7: It said, I'm sure your inbox is ridiculous, but I
- 6:18Speaker 7: hope I get a reply because I like what I see.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 6:22Speaker 7: Okay.
- 6:24Speaker 2: So did she respond? No, of course she's not going
- 6:27Speaker 2: to respond.
- 6:28Speaker 7: But like, I mean, she's got a million followers, right?
- 6:31Speaker 7: Like he's an idiot for even like reaching out, I think.
- 6:35Speaker 7: But I did see when I went through his phone
- 6:37Speaker 7: that he had asked ChatGPT to help him write the message.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Oh no.
- 6:42Speaker 7: He actually went to some effort. Like he he really
- 6:45Speaker 7: went to effort to do this.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Right.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Do you say something to him about it?
- 6:51Speaker 1: Well, yes.
- 6:51Speaker 7: When he sobered up, I confronted him and he just
- 6:53Speaker 7: kept saying, what are you talking about?
- 6:55Speaker 4: I didn't do that.
- 6:56Speaker 1: What are you talking about?
- 6:57Speaker 2: I don't remember that. I don't know. I feel so betrayed.
- 6:59Speaker 2: And like, I think it feels like cheating.
- 7:01Speaker 7: But my friends are like, well, it's not cheating because
- 7:03Speaker 7: of course she's never going to respond.
- 7:05Speaker 2: He's never going to meet her in real life. Producer Blake,
- 7:07Speaker 2: what do you think?
- 7:10Speaker 4: I think he knows that. So what does it matter?
- 7:12Speaker 2: He did it anyway. It's the point that he did it.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Who cares if she messages him back or not? He
- 7:18Speaker 2: sent the message. What's he going to do when he
- 7:20Speaker 2: gets drunk again and sees another hot girl that will
- 7:23Speaker 2: message him back?
- 7:25Speaker 4: We don't know that'll happen. We don't know that.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Okay, if you had a girlfriend and she messages a
- 7:29Speaker 2: hot guy that's a hot Instagram model, if he doesn't
- 7:32Speaker 2: message her back, you gonna be mad?
- 7:34Speaker 4: No, that's hilarious.
- 7:35Speaker 1: No, it's not.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Because you know it's never gonna happen.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Let's see if we can get some advice for you.
- 7:41Speaker 2: 833-501-BAMA is the number. Does Amanda have a right to
- 7:44Speaker 2: be mad at her fiance for messaging an Instagram model
- 7:47Speaker 2: that's probably never gonna message him back? But I would
- 7:49Speaker 2: be livid. That is 100% cheating. I agree. Thank you.
- 7:55Speaker 2: 833-501-BAMA is the number. That's 833-501-2262. You're listening to The.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Alabama Show On Demand.
- 8:03Speaker 2: You have some people fired up, Producer Blake.
- 8:06Speaker 4: What did I do?
- 8:07Speaker 2: So Amanda called the show her fiancé message to Instagram model.
- 8:11Speaker 2: when he was drunk, saying he hoped he got a
- 8:13Speaker 2: message back. And the Instagram model's never going to message back,
- 8:16Speaker 2: so producer Blake was like, that's not cheating.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Well, it's not a big deal. It's an Instagram model.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Go to the Alabama show if you want to continue
- 8:23Speaker 2: the conversation. Allison said, well, it's gross. Nobody wants a
- 8:26Speaker 2: lustful man. Shylan said, yes, it's cheating because it crosses
- 8:31Speaker 2: a boundary of respect and faithfulness in a marriage. Just
- 8:36Speaker 2: because it's not physical doesn't mean it's not cheating.
- 8:39Speaker 4: If you're not, he was messed up in the head.
- 8:42Speaker 4: And that's not an excuse. He knew she wasn't going
- 8:45Speaker 4: to answer.
- 8:46Speaker 2: He didn't know she wasn't going to answer. He said
- 8:48Speaker 2: he hoped that she did.
- 8:50Speaker 4: In that state, yes. But he knows that she will
- 8:53Speaker 4: not answer.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Call the show. 833-501-BAMA is the number. If your boo
- 8:59Speaker 2: messaged somebody with a million followers on Instagram, and so
- 9:02Speaker 2: that person will never message them back, but they still say,
- 9:06Speaker 2: you're hot and I hope you message me back. Is
- 9:08Speaker 2: that cheating? Yeah.
- 9:10Speaker 1: 833-501-2262.
- 9:10Speaker 2: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand. Should Amanda
- 9:16Speaker 2: be mad that her fiance messaged an Instagram model when
- 9:20Speaker 2: he was drunk, even though the Instagram model hasn't messaged
- 9:24Speaker 2: him back? 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show. Larissa,
- 9:28Speaker 2: good morning. Where are you calling from?
- 9:31Speaker 6: And from Fort Payne, Alabama, but currently working in Phoenix City.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Awesome. Okay, Larissa, are you calling about the guy messaging
- 9:38Speaker 2: the Instagram model? Yes. What do you think? Is it
- 9:41Speaker 2: cheating or no?
- 9:42Speaker 7: It most certainly is because like you said, what happens
- 9:46Speaker 7: when he gets drunk again and sees another hot girl
- 9:48Speaker 7: that might actually message him back?
- 9:51Speaker 2: Abso-freaking-lutely. Have you ever gone through anything like this? Have
- 9:54Speaker 2: you dated anybody that messaged somebody online?
- 9:57Speaker 6: Absolutely and cut it off immediately.
- 9:59Speaker 1: There It's three things you need to know with the
- 10:12Speaker 1: Alabama Show.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Alabama lost to Georgia over the weekend. The score was 20-17.
- 10:18Speaker 2: A lot of people are really upset about that game,
- 10:22Speaker 2: including my grandmother, Meemaw, who says that the referees made
- 10:25Speaker 2: terrible calls and Georgia played dirty. Auburn did not play
- 10:29Speaker 2: over the weekend, so you can focus all your attention
- 10:31Speaker 2: to being mad at Georgia for the week. Kelly Clarkson
- 10:35Speaker 2: is calling out a Brooklyn store after saying she was
- 10:38Speaker 2: treated like she could not afford what she wanted to buy.
- 10:40Speaker 2: She said it was a lot like the famous shopping
- 10:42Speaker 2: scene in Pretty Woman. And she said the store lost
- 10:45Speaker 2: out on a huge sale. Now the store is speaking out.
- 10:49Speaker 2: They said that Kelly asked to buy a one-of-a-kind singing
- 10:51Speaker 2: and dancing bird that they use in their magic shows.
- 10:54Speaker 2: and the bird was not for sale, and they said
- 10:56Speaker 2: that it's not fair. Kelly Clarkson called them out because
- 10:58Speaker 2: now they're getting a lot of online backlash, and they
- 11:01Speaker 2: hope to resolve things with Kelly soon. We'll let you
- 11:03Speaker 2: know if anything changes. Instagram just had to apologize for
- 11:08Speaker 2: suggesting Creed's song Higher to more people than intended.
- 11:12Speaker 4: They're doing the Lord's work out here. That's a good
- 11:15Speaker 4: thing to have.
- 11:15Speaker 2: If you have posted stories recently, producer Blake's favorite band
- 11:18Speaker 2: is Creed. If you've posted stories recently, one of the
- 11:21Speaker 2: recommended songs, you know how it'll recommend what you should
- 11:24Speaker 2: add to your story?
- 11:25Speaker 4: Yes.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Creed's Higher kept popping up so much that people noticed
- 11:30Speaker 2: it and they were like, I don't even like Creed.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Why is this happening? So CNN did an investigation and Instagram,
- 11:39Speaker 2: a spokesperson, had to tell CNN that they looked into
- 11:42Speaker 2: it and they found out it was being recommended to
- 11:44Speaker 2: more people than intended and had to apologize.
- 11:46Speaker 4: They're doing it right. Keep it up. Instagram, keep it up.
- 11:49Speaker 4: Good job.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. That's three things you need to know.
- 11:52Speaker 2: More at the Alabama show dot com.
- 11:56Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show. The following program is
- 11:59Speaker 1: on demand.
- 12:01Speaker 2: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show. Amanda, good morning.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Do you have good news?
- 12:07Speaker 6: I don't know if you guys remember, a few months ago,
- 12:10Speaker 6: probably several months ago, I called in and told you
- 12:13Speaker 6: guys about me starting my surrogacy journey.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 6: Well, about two weeks ago, we finally went through with
- 12:20Speaker 6: the embryo transfer, and I have finally found out that
- 12:24Speaker 6: I am pregnant.
- 12:25Speaker 1: With our baby.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Yes.
- 12:30Speaker 6: I'm so excited and I'm so happy for them. And
- 12:33Speaker 6: I'm just, I couldn't be happier to be on this
- 12:36Speaker 6: journey with them.
- 12:37Speaker 2: That is so awesome. So you are the surrogate and
- 12:40Speaker 2: you are going to be carrying the baby for a couple.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Did you know the.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Couple before this or did you meet them through? Okay.
- 12:47Speaker 2: How did you know them?
- 12:48Speaker 6: Well, I'm sorry. I knew them before the transfer. I
- 12:51Speaker 6: met them in August. I was matched with them through
- 12:54Speaker 6: our agency.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Okay, okay.
- 12:56Speaker 6: And we just kind of got to know each other,
- 12:58Speaker 6: gone through the contracts and all the tedious parts of
- 13:03Speaker 6: the whole thing. And we finally did the transfer and
- 13:06Speaker 6: I tested positive for pregnancy this morning.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Oh, that fast. Girl, that is amazing. Okay. Also, I
- 13:13Speaker 2: could tear up talking to you about this because I
- 13:16Speaker 2: see a lot of couples struggle with getting pregnant and
- 13:20Speaker 2: how emotionally hard it is for them. And you are
- 13:25Speaker 2: superwoman for what you are doing, because I know like
- 13:29Speaker 2: your body is going to be going through so many changes.
- 13:32Speaker 2: And it is just it is a really awesome thing
- 13:35Speaker 2: that you are doing. And I'm so proud of you.
- 13:37Speaker 6: I'm so happy to be doing it for them. I
- 13:40Speaker 6: can't imagine what it's like not being able to create
- 13:43Speaker 6: your own family. So that was the whole part of
- 13:45Speaker 6: it for me was being able to give back to someone.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Now you got to call and update us throughout the
- 13:50Speaker 2: pregnancy and when the baby's born and all the things. Girl,
- 13:54Speaker 2: you are awesome. You are awesome for being vulnerable and
- 13:57Speaker 2: talking about what you're doing.
- 13:59Speaker 6: Yeah, no problem. Anything's possible as long as you believe
- 14:02Speaker 6: in it and just put your faith in yourself and
- 14:05Speaker 6: the people around you and you can do anything.
- 14:08Speaker 1: You're listening to The Alabama Show On Demand.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Some poor lady saw all of producer Blake's butt crack
- 14:14Speaker 2: over the weekend.
- 14:14Speaker 4: That's not what she saw.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Thanks for listening to The Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with
- 14:22Speaker 2: producer Blake. What did she say?
- 14:24Speaker 5: I don't want to say it, but it was not that.
- 14:28Speaker 4: What happened?
- 14:29Speaker 5: So I was driving the other night and it was
- 14:32Speaker 5: raining pretty bad. And I see outside of my window
- 14:34Speaker 5: that a lady is out here trying to put a
- 14:36Speaker 5: new tire on her car.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Okay.
- 14:38Speaker 5: By herself in the pouring rain.
- 14:39Speaker 4: Nobody's helping her.
- 14:40Speaker 2: And good Samaritan producer Blake pulled over?
- 14:42Speaker 4: I pulled over. I go in.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Good for you for stopping to help. I'm proud of
- 14:48Speaker 2: you for that.
- 14:49Speaker 4: So I stop in and I'm like, here, do you
- 14:51Speaker 4: need some help? Because she was struggling. I felt bad.
- 14:54Speaker 4: So I get out. I start taking off the tire.
- 14:56Speaker 4: And as soon as I go down, like I do
- 14:58Speaker 4: a squat and I hear. I don't think anything. I
- 15:01Speaker 4: don't think it's my shorts. I thought it was something else.
- 15:04Speaker 2: What was the one?
- 15:05Speaker 4: It was like a rip. And I thought it was
- 15:06Speaker 4: something else. I didn't know it was my shorts. And
- 15:08Speaker 4: I get up.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Your bottoms.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Yep.
- 15:11Speaker 5: I get done with, you know, setting up the tire
- 15:13Speaker 5: and I turn around and she's looking down.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I go.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Was it the front?
- 15:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
