  Speaker 1: to you in prayer to be able to have the

  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit be able to speak through this mic and

  Speaker 1: go through the listeners' ears and be able to reach
• 0:20
  Speaker 1: their hearts and apply John chapter 10 to their lives.

  Speaker 1: In the Lord Jesus Christ's name, I pray.

  Speaker 1: So if you would like to grab your Bibles or

  Speaker 1: hear along, I highly encourage it to be able to

  Speaker 1: soak in the word of God a little bit more.

  Speaker 1: And it helps because being able to see it and

  Speaker 1: hear it, you can digest it. So John chapter 10,
• 0:49
  Speaker 1: and it is titled, Jesus says that he is like
• 0:53
  Speaker 1: a good shepherd. John chapter 10, Jesus then said, I
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: tell you this, a shepherd keeps his sheep in a
• 1:02
  Speaker 1: safe place with a wall around it. There's a gate
• 1:06
  Speaker 1: into that safe place. Anyone who gets into that place
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: by another way, not through the gate, is not the shepherd.
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: That person is a robber. He comes to take away
• 1:21
  Speaker 1: the sheep for himself. But the shepherd goes in In
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: through the gate. The person who watches the gate. Opens
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: it for the shepherd. The sheep recognize the shepherd's voice.

  Speaker 2: He calls. Each of his own sheep. By their name.
• 1:38
  Speaker 2: And he leads them out. It's really. Unique.
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: How it states. The sheep recognize the shepherd's voice. Instead of. Recognizing.

  Speaker 1: The actual shepherd. Physical body. It states the voice. And

  Speaker 1: the voice of truth. Having the Holy Spirit.

  Speaker 2: When we're.

  Speaker 1: Trying to figure out how to. Apply these verses to
• 2:10
  Speaker 1: our lives.

  Speaker 2: Right.

  Speaker 1: This isn't just for you the listener. I'm a listener

  Speaker 1: as well. I have come accustomed to loving. Myself more
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: and hearing myself. And allowing to hear the spirit. And

  Speaker 1: allow the spirit to. speak through me is a very
• 2:27
  Speaker 1: beautiful thing. No matter what I think of myself, where
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: I'm at, or how I feel, or what others may
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: think and feel about where I'm at, God knows His
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: own sheep. He knows them by their own name. Let
• 2:43
  Speaker 1: me get into preacher mode for a minute, but I
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: also love to allow the Holy Spirit to take over.
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: Verse 4 in John chapter 10 states, When he is
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: brought in front of them, the sheep follow him because
• 2:57
  Speaker 1: they know his voice. John chapter 10 verse 5 states,
• 3:01
  Speaker 1: They will not follow a stranger. They will run away
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: from a stranger because they do not recognize his voice.
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: Jesus told this story like a picture to.
• 3:12
  Speaker 2: Teach the people.
• 3:13
  Speaker 1: But they did not understand what he was saying to them.
• 3:17
  Speaker 1: So Jesus spoke again. He said, I tell you this.
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: I am like the gate for the sheep. All other
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: men who came before me were like robbers, but the
• 3:31
  Speaker 1: sheep did not listen to them. I am like the gate.
• 3:35
  Speaker 1: Everyone who comes in through me will be safe. They
• 3:41
  Speaker 1: will be free to come and to go out and
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: they will find plenty of food. Isn't that amazing? The
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: same Jesus that multiplied two loaves of bread and a
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: couple fish. And I might have gotten the numbers wrong,
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: but regardless, to be able to say that they will
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: not starve, where they will not go hungry. And we're
• 4:15
  Speaker 1: not talking about just food. We're talking about how the
• 4:19
  Speaker 1: Spirit has the fruits of the Spirit. The joy, the happiness. Yes.
• 4:25
  Speaker 2: The gladness.
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: I mean, I could keep going down the line, but
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: I want you to kind of do your own research
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: as well. I don't want to cram all this down
• 4:33
  Speaker 1: your throat. I do this because I enjoy doing this.
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: I give 15 minutes of not only Bible study to myself,
• 4:47
  Speaker 1: which a lot of people do, and there's nothing wrong
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: with that, but giving the ability to be able to
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: record and upload And I don't do it for the views.
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: I don't do it for the downloads. But if I
• 5:00
  Speaker 1: can save one soul. By uploading these episodes. I have
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: done my job.
• 5:10
  Speaker 2: Job well done. Servant. And I have been a servant
• 5:14
  Speaker 2: to alcohol. And I actually use the other S word.
• 5:18
  Speaker 2: A slave.
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: I used to enjoy being served alcohol. By the servants.
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: Of the bar or the club.
• 5:28
  Speaker 2: Think about that. Jesus brings. Internal life. Water.
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: Flowing water. And there's so many different things that I've obtained.
• 5:37
  Speaker 1: In these different sermons. And being able to tap into
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: the source of the Holy Spirit.
• 5:43
  Speaker 2: Through worship. Praising. Prayer.
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: Being in a program that is godly. Not passing judgment
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: on others that do not believe in the same God
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: as me. But has a disease that a program can help.
• 6:04
  Speaker 2: There's a program for everything. Finding your way in it
• 6:09
  Speaker 2: is another thing. Surrendering.
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: Like you surrendered to the drug or the alcohol or
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: the addiction. All of us have faced some form of addiction.
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: Whether it is TV.
• 6:21
  Speaker 2: I can go down the list. We can easily get
• 6:25
  Speaker 2: addicted to bad things.
• 6:31
  Speaker 1: Verse 11 states, I am the good shepherd. The good
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: shepherd would die so that he can save his sheep.
• 6:38
  Speaker 1: Another man may take care of sheep so that he
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: gets money. But the sheep do not belong to him.
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: This is like how a lot of churches run. Where
• 6:49
  Speaker 1: it is, we're talking about churches that astray people from Christ.
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: I'm glad that I'm not a part of a church
• 7:01
  Speaker 1: that's like that, but there's plenty of churches that are
• 7:03
  Speaker 1: out there like that. And there's pastors out there that
• 7:10
  Speaker 1: are doing it just for the money. And roughly speaking,
• 7:17
  Speaker 1: I don't... Actually, let's look it up. Let's look it
• 7:21
  Speaker 1: up while we're here.
• 7:23
  Speaker 2: The average....
• 7:27
  Speaker 1: And this is just the average, right? And I'm Googling it.
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: So it ranges different. And there's probably bonuses. There's probably different...

  Speaker 1: And this is the thing that we need to be
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: able to have discernment shift to realize what pastors are
• 7:40
  Speaker 1: good and what's not.
• 7:41
  Speaker 2: The average.
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: Salary of a pastor that preaches... We got to make
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: sure it's right. Preaches about Jesus.
• 8:02
  Speaker 2: Christ. This is the average now. We're talking about $ 58, 090
• 8:06
  Speaker 2: per year. That is the average. That is the average.
• 8:22
  Speaker 1: Now, we're also talking about salary breakdown. Small churches under
• 8:27
  Speaker 1: 150 attendees, maybe $ 50, 000 to $ 52, 000. Mid-sized churches, 100 to
• 8:29
  Speaker 1: 500 attendees, $ 75, 000 to $ 96, 000. Now, we're talking about a
• 8:31
  Speaker 1: large and mega churches, 1,000 plus attendees average. We're looking
• 8:45
  Speaker 1: at $ 162, 000 to $ 197, 000 per year. And we're talking about
• 8:56
  Speaker 1: senior pastors that put a lot of effort into these sermons.

  Speaker 1: And not all of them are driven by the Holy Spirit.
• 9:07
  Speaker 1: They're driven by the money. They're driven by their education.
• 9:10
  Speaker 1: They're driven by things that.
• 9:14
  Speaker 1: Of this world that was put together to. How to
• 9:18
  Speaker 1: be a great speaker. How to be good with your hands.
• 9:20
  Speaker 1: I can go down the line. But when you have
• 9:23
  Speaker 1: that Holy Spirit. You can tell the difference. When you're
• 9:28
  Speaker 1: really tapped into the source. You can tell somebody that's really.
• 9:34
  Speaker 1: Preaching with the Holy Spirit. Not just preaching their knowledge.
• 9:40
  Speaker 2: Because if a preacher. Preaches.
• 9:42
  Speaker 1: Cannot talk about Jesus Christ, that is concerning for me.
• 9:47
  Speaker 1: And it's concerning for a lot of believers and followers
• 9:49
  Speaker 1: of Christ. If there is nothing said about Jesus Christ
• 9:54
  Speaker 1: in the whole sermon, if I do not hear Jesus
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: Christ one time at least, I don't care about all
• 10:01
  Speaker 1: the Bible verses that we're going to be going through
• 10:04
  Speaker 1: and whatever the pastor is trying to teach I want
• 10:08
  Speaker 1: to hear about Jesus Christ these words are very important
• 10:16
  Speaker 1: for people that are new people that are in the
• 10:18
  Speaker 1: middle people that are Elders of the church. We need
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: to remember. What our purpose is. And our purpose is
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: the mission. And the mission is the message. To spread
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: the news of Jesus Christ. The gospel of Jesus Christ.
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: Having that relationship with him. Because we can't get in through.
• 10:38
  Speaker 1: The gates of heaven without him. It's just almost.
• 10:46
  Speaker 2: Impossible. Because. the Holy Spirit is going to help us
• 10:52
  Speaker 2: get there. Amen?

  Speaker 1: And I say that because Jesus is in heaven with God,
• 10:58
  Speaker 1: with the angels.
• 11:00
  Speaker 2: We are down here. And it's up to us.
• 11:04
  Speaker 1: To make that conscience decision each day to focus on Jesus. Now,
• 11:10
  Speaker 1: I understand that you have a lot going on and
• 11:13
  Speaker 1: I'm really going into preacher mode and I'm really letting
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: Spirit speak too. But if you can make time for
• 11:20
  Speaker 1: Other things. Then why can't you make time with God.
• 11:22
  Speaker 1: By being connected to Jesus Christ. And allowing the Holy
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: Spirit to rule your life.
• 11:28
  Speaker 2: The benefits. From having. That. Holy Spirit with you. On a.
• 11:37
  Speaker 2: Second to second. Basis.
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: Can help you get through some really hard times. That
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: you normally can't really.
• 11:45
  Speaker 2: Get through. And when we get down to.
• 11:50
  Speaker 1: Verse 13, that man runs away because the sheep do
• 11:55
  Speaker 1: not belong to him. He does not think that the
• 11:59
  Speaker 1: sheep are important. I am the good shepherd. This is
• 12:03
  Speaker 1: Jesus speaking. I know my own sheep and they know me.
• 12:08
  Speaker 1: I know them in the same way that my father
• 12:10
  Speaker 1: knows me. And they know me in the same way
• 12:12
  Speaker 1: that I know the father. I will die so that
• 12:15
  Speaker 1: I can save my sheep. I will die so that
• 12:21
  Speaker 1: I can save my sheep.
• 12:25
  Speaker 2: That's true love.
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: That you're willing to sacrifice your own life, your own ministry,
• 12:39
  Speaker 1: and allowing God to completely take control of the situation.
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: Jesus had no control. When it was coming to his
• 12:52
  Speaker 1: last days. All he had was prayer. All he had was.
• 12:59
  Speaker 1: Seeing everybody flee. And Peter denying him three times. And
• 13:07
  Speaker 1: him having these visions. Because he knew what was coming.
• 13:11
  Speaker 1: Now imagine having that kind of power. I have less
• 13:16
  Speaker 1: than two minutes. Imagine having. that power connected to your spirit.
• 13:32
  Speaker 1: Give Jesus more than just a try. It's not a
• 13:39
  Speaker 1: trial run. You're not going to reap benefits and then
• 13:43
  Speaker 1: you can just jump ship. Jesus knows his own. Jesus
• 13:48
  Speaker 1: knows when you Or just going to church because a
• 13:55
  Speaker 1: friend has invited you. The invitations have been given to
• 14:00
  Speaker 1: all of us. It's up to us to accept that
• 14:03
  Speaker 1: invitation to go not only to church, but to go
• 14:07
  Speaker 1: to Christ.
• 14:09
  Speaker 2: Christ loved the church. But he also loved the.
• 14:14
  Speaker 1: People because he knew how lost they were. I'm glad
• 14:19
  Speaker 1: that I'm not found in In the nick of time
• 14:23
  Speaker 1: I was found. When I accepted. Jesus Christ as my
• 14:27
  Speaker 1: Lord and Savior. And going through the transition. Of reading
• 14:32
  Speaker 1: the Bible. Watching sermons. Still doing my thing. Realizing that
• 14:38
  Speaker 1: his ways are better.
• 14:39
  Speaker 2: Amen.
