- 2:12Speaker 3: So while we were there, we went to they had
- 2:15Speaker 3: this author's conference every year.
- 2:19Speaker 1: It's called the Sonoma Valley Authors Festival.
- 2:21Speaker 3: That's a big square in the middle of the town

- 2:29Speaker 1: Michael Connolly was there.
- 2:31Speaker 3: He's he's responsible for bosh Oh okay.
- 2:35Speaker 1: So he writes all those books and the TV show
- 2:37Speaker 1: and everything.
- 2:37Speaker 3: He was there.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Uh. And just all these cute old liberal people that
- 2:42Speaker 1: live in Sonoma. They had a big protest about banned books.
- 2:45Speaker 3: And and and and fascism.
- 2:48Speaker 1: They're just cute old liberal people there. But we were
- 2:52Speaker 1: there on derby day.
- 2:56Speaker 3: So we're like, we got to go find you know,
- 2:57Speaker 3: if you're if you're no is the Kentucky Derby, you know,
- 3:03Speaker 3: if you're if you're out on Oh, it's like the
- 3:06Speaker 3: big basketball game, the big football game. We got to
- 3:08Speaker 3: find a bar to watch this big sporting miss. So
- 3:10Speaker 3: we had to find a ball.
- 3:11Speaker 5: That's what That's what your post was about, Okay.
- 3:13Speaker 1: And I sent a picture to Katie from the bar.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Hopefully we get that up there.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Uh.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Ladies, So ladies.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Mostly get excited about the derby. Some men, but it's
- 3:28Speaker 3: kind of a lady thing because girls and horses.
- 3:30Speaker 2: You know, what is that a dead cat on her head?
- 3:33Speaker 2: Like a dead cat with a saddle on it.
- 3:35Speaker 3: I thought we were an excited group of ladies going
- 3:38Speaker 3: to watch the derby.
- 3:39Speaker 1: There was another table of women there who had a
- 3:42Speaker 1: Derby hat which she had taken.
- 3:44Speaker 3: If you go to ex nity six dot com slash live,
- 3:46Speaker 3: you can see she had a stuffed horse.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Oh that's a horse, okay, Like looks like a cat.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Glued onto the super glued on to the top of
- 3:55Speaker 1: her hat.
- 3:55Speaker 4: She has really no sense of design, this woman, no none,
- 3:58Speaker 4: and it's as big as a cat.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I'll give you that.
- 4:01Speaker 3: And my sister, Michel, my good looking sister. They're all
- 4:05Speaker 3: good looking. Well, took the hat and put it on
- 4:10Speaker 3: her head.
- 4:11Speaker 2: And took the hat from the lady.
- 4:13Speaker 3: I mean, but the lady was like, she was proud
- 4:16Speaker 3: of this hat, like uh huh.
- 4:18Speaker 1: But everybody in the bar put it on their head,
- 4:20Speaker 1: and me being me, that grossed me out.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Like well yeah yeah, well I'm telling you head license Sonoma.
- 4:30Speaker 4: So that's the thing people know, people know about it.
- 4:33Speaker 4: The Sonoma Headlight's hard notorious.
- 4:35Speaker 1: And she said, come on, put the hat on. I'm
- 4:37Speaker 1: like going bring this strange woman's hat on. I'm not
- 4:41Speaker 1: I'm not doing it.
- 4:42Speaker 2: I don't understand why the woman would.
- 4:44Speaker 1: She was very proud of this hat.
- 4:46Speaker 4: Well they're fine, keep it on your head. Everybody can
- 4:50Speaker 4: see it better that way.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Now I have a question for airline pilots or somebody
- 4:57Speaker 3: that works for an airline.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Well, I'm an airline pilot.
- 5:01Speaker 3: So we're coming back. Yesterday, we flew out of Sacramento. Yes,
- 5:04Speaker 3: Sacramento Airport, not a big airport.
- 5:07Speaker 2: No, we we.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Thought, oh, we got there a little early, so we
- 5:11Speaker 3: get something to eat before we left. There were only
- 5:13Speaker 3: two places to eat in the concourse we were in.
- 5:16Speaker 3: There was like a brew pub kind of place, and
- 5:20Speaker 3: this place called Squeezeburger.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Uh huh, Well we couldn't call it smash burger.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Which sounds terrible, doesn't it.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Yeah, squeezeburger.
- 5:29Speaker 3: And as we walked by, we went, no, we're not
- 5:31Speaker 3: I don't want to go to squeezeburger. So we went
- 5:34Speaker 3: over to the brew pub and had a little something
- 5:37Speaker 3: to eat there. If you go to x nice six
- 5:39Speaker 3: dot com slash live, you can see what a squeezeburger is. Now,
- 5:43Speaker 3: why did I bother to investigate this further? After we
- 5:47Speaker 3: dismissed squeezeburger?
- 5:48Speaker 2: Does I need it?
- 5:50Speaker 3: So we get on the plane, we're sitting down, we're
- 5:55Speaker 3: ready to go, and we're sitting and we're sitting and
- 5:58Speaker 3: we're sitting for a half an hour.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Yeah, we've had a little bit of a delay.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Here the pilot comes on and says, we've had a
- 6:07Speaker 3: little bit of a delay. I didn't get my meal,
- 6:11Speaker 3: so I had somebody go in. He said, I didn't
- 6:15Speaker 3: get my meal, so I had to have somebody go
- 6:17Speaker 3: in and get me a squeeze burger. And then I
- 6:21Speaker 3: had to eat the squeezeburger here in the cockpit. But
- 6:24Speaker 3: I finished it and we're ready to go.
- 6:26Speaker 2: So we were all sitting there while you ate.
- 6:29Speaker 3: But what I'm wondering, is there some rule that if
- 6:34Speaker 3: you have like back to back to back flights, that
- 6:38Speaker 3: you have to eat at.
- 6:39Speaker 2: A certain time Blood sugar.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I mean, I'm this is my honest question.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I think they were very well could be.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I also was surprised, like, why didn't you just say
- 6:47Speaker 3: sorry for the delay, We're going to get on. We're
- 6:49Speaker 3: going to try to make up some time in the air,
- 6:51Speaker 3: And why would you admit that I sent somebody in
- 6:54Speaker 3: to get a squeezeburger.
- 6:55Speaker 2: You should have added to that. There's you know, according
- 6:58Speaker 2: to FAA.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Regular So this is what I'm asking.
- 7:02Speaker 3: If you know, please you can email us or call
- 7:05Speaker 3: us eight seven seven six so two nine six night six,
- 7:07Speaker 3: or you can text or email US Radio from hell
- 7:10Speaker 3: at X ninety six dot com. So then I'm so
- 7:12Speaker 3: now I'm curious about this is my second encounter with.
- 7:15Speaker 2: This squeeze berg and what the hell is that?
- 7:17Speaker 1: What is a squeeze Berger?
- 7:18Speaker 3: So I looked, if you put that back up, Katie,
- 7:22Speaker 3: that'd be great burger.
- 7:23Speaker 1: So I looked at it.
- 7:26Speaker 3: This is from a place in Sacramento that's famous called
- 7:30Speaker 3: the squeeze In and it was fase featured on Diners,
- 7:33Speaker 3: drive Ins and Dives.
- 7:35Speaker 1: It's a burger that has a cheese.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Skirt, so they put so much cheese on it that
- 7:41Speaker 3: it lops over and then gets crusty along on the grill.
- 7:48Speaker 1: So it's way, let's it's like two inches off the burger.
- 7:53Speaker 1: This is Yeah, this is a thing. Never heard of,
- 7:57Speaker 1: the squeeze burg.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I'll take it, but but no, this is what this,
- 8:02Speaker 3: this burger is what delayed me half an hour getting
- 8:05Speaker 3: home last night.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm still curious about that. Now, why Corey asks
- 8:12Speaker 2: was he joking? He was quite serious?
- 8:15Speaker 1: Okay, I don't think so I didn't get my meal.
- 8:18Speaker 2: It's hard to tell when a pilot's joking or.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Not, though I hadn't sent anything in.
- 8:23Speaker 5: Let's see, there's food on the plane. He just wanted
- 8:25Speaker 5: a squeezburger. I work for Delta. There's no regulation. Okay, yeah,
- 8:29Speaker 5: this is what I'm only mandatory rest. That's the only
- 8:32Speaker 5: thing that they regulate. So it's his way.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Of justifying us, saying, you know that.
- 8:40Speaker 5: My you know, my intern screwed up and didn't get
- 8:42Speaker 5: my meal or something like that.
- 8:43Speaker 2: You know, you should report him.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I felt bad because you could hear people behind you
- 8:48Speaker 3: talking because Salt Lake is a is a hub, so
- 8:51Speaker 3: there are a lot of people that have a connection
- 8:54Speaker 3: that they're trying.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Yeah, period to airline pilot here. Okay.
- 8:58Speaker 5: Union contract has the me requirement, but most of us
- 9:02Speaker 5: wouldn't delay and delay a flight for it, especially for
- 9:05Speaker 5: the food at the Sacramento Airport.
- 9:10Speaker 2: So it is a it's a union thing.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Okay.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Yeah, because he said I didn't get my meal like
- 9:15Speaker 3: they were supposed to have a meal ready, so.
- 9:19Speaker 5: That explains it. That being said, I'd eat the hell
- 9:22Speaker 5: out of that burger.
- 9:24Speaker 3: But it's a terrible name for a restaurant. Though, a
- 9:27Speaker 3: squeeze Burger, I don't know
