- 0:00Speaker 1: Live from the WOR LifeVac Studios, the Mark Simone Show. Well,
- 0:07Speaker 1: let's take some calls. Let's go to Ed in Rockland County. Ed,
- 0:10Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 0:12Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark. How are you?
- 0:14Speaker 1: Good. What do you want to say, Ed?
- 0:17Speaker 2: I really enjoyed your conversation with Roger Friedman. Yeah. It
- 0:22Speaker 2: was a wonderful exchange and banter. I'm glad that you really...
- 0:28Speaker 2: Really stopped him with his political nonsense. But I enjoyed it, though.
- 0:32Speaker 1: This is a lot of left-wingers.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I really enjoyed it.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Yeah. All right, well.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I don't think you should call up and be political,
- 0:41Speaker 2: but that's only my opinion.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Oh, no, he's not political. He just slips once in
- 0:45Speaker 1: a while. Never argue with these left-wingers. Just change the subject.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Talk about something else. Let's go to Phil in New Milford. Phil,
- 0:54Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 0:56Speaker 3: Hi, how are you?
- 0:57Speaker 4: Good.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Mark, I do have a, you know, I was watching
- 1:00Speaker 3: a video about Justin Murphy debating with Cory Booker.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:04Speaker 3: I was so impressed. I was so impressed with Justin Murphy.
- 1:08Speaker 3: He served in the Navy. He was in the Gulf
- 1:11Speaker 3: of Cornwall. And he's from the Pine Barrens of all places,
- 1:16Speaker 3: you know, the woodlands in New Jersey. And he is
- 1:20Speaker 3: so formidable in his discussion, his ability to stressed the
- 1:25Speaker 3: conservative points of view.
- 1:28Speaker 1: That sounds good. Everybody should go vote for him. Now,
- 1:31Speaker 1: also remember, it's easy to sound brilliant when you're next
- 1:33Speaker 1: to Cory Booker, but I'm sure he is pretty smart.
- 1:37Speaker 1: This Cory Booker, it's an amazing case. This Cory Booker,
- 1:42Speaker 1: nice guy, but not very bright. He's convinced himself that
- 1:45Speaker 1: he's Barack Obama. He's like an incredible orator. He's got
- 1:50Speaker 1: like 75 fewer IQ points than Obama. But don't tell
- 1:56Speaker 1: him that.
- 1:56Speaker 4: He doesn't know.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Let's go to Dennis in Long Island. Dennis, how are
- 2:00Speaker 1: you doing?
- 2:01Speaker 2: I'm doing well, Mark.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 2:03Speaker 2: It's just a follow-up call on the Roger Freeman interview.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I just want to congratulate you on the way you
- 2:09Speaker 2: handled it. It was well said and well spoken.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Well, don't pick on Roger. He's a nice guy. Let's
- 2:13Speaker 1: go to Donald in Yonkers. Donald, how are you doing?
- 2:17Speaker 4: Hey, how's it going, Mark? Good.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Good.
- 2:21Speaker 5: All right, listen, a while back there you had a
- 2:23Speaker 5: thing going with the bidets and the dummy, and then
- 2:25Speaker 5: I called up and you kind of abused me, but
- 2:27Speaker 5: now we're talking about bathrooms with nice bidets and this
- 2:31Speaker 5: and that.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 5: Wouldn't it be nice to have a heated seat and
- 2:33Speaker 5: all these options to show a nice classy lady how
- 2:36Speaker 5: you live?
- 2:37Speaker 1: Well, if you want. I don't like that kind of stuff.
- 2:40Speaker 1: You know, some people get this heated toilet, this, that,
- 2:42Speaker 1: the heated. It's just another thing that's going to break.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Keep it simple. You don't want anything that's going to break.
- 2:48Speaker 1: But women, they love the heated seat. They love the
- 2:51Speaker 1: heated floor, the heated this, the heated towel rack. It's
- 2:54Speaker 1: just more stuff that's going to break. Let's go to
- 2:57Speaker 1: Bill in Idaho. Bill, how are you doing? Hey, hello, Mark.
- 3:02Speaker 4: How are you? Good.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You sound like you're inside a sofa. You're all muffled.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 3:10Speaker 6: I don't want to wake the potatoes out here. I've
- 3:13Speaker 6: been talking to you on the phone for 40 years.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Uh-huh.
- 3:18Speaker 6: And, uh, back in the day when I was living
- 3:21Speaker 6: in Greenwich village, selling spots and 41, and you were
- 3:25Speaker 6: probably about 18 and living with and working with, uh,
- 3:29Speaker 6: Steve Allen and Jonathan Schwartz.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:32Speaker 1: All right.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:33Speaker 6: Now I asked you a trivia question back then, and
- 3:37Speaker 6: you were the.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Only, what's the question? What's the question?
- 3:41Speaker 6: Okay, the question was, who is the famous ventriloquist who
- 3:45Speaker 6: invented a mechanical implantable device?
- 3:48Speaker 1: Paul Mahoney.
- 3:49Speaker 6: Who is the device?
- 3:50Speaker 1: Paul Mahoney. That was a big thing back in the 50s, ventriloquists.
- 3:55Speaker 1: It was Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy. Then it was
- 3:59Speaker 1: Paul Winchell. Paul Winchell and Jerry Mahoney was the dummy.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I don't know why, but nobody wants to see a
- 4:06Speaker 1: ventriloquist anymore. But back then, it was a big deal.
- 4:09Speaker 1: And Paul Winchell, Jerry Mahoney had his own television show
- 4:13Speaker 1: and doing commercials for Nestle's Quick. Remember that? Yeah, it
- 4:18Speaker 1: was a big start. And then all of a sudden
- 4:19Speaker 1: you didn't see much anymore. Kind of people said, oh,
- 4:23Speaker 1: what happened to the guy? He lost his whole career. Now, actually,
- 4:26Speaker 1: he invented like the heart valve. He invented something and
- 4:30Speaker 1: made like $ 6 billion off it. Who knew that this
- 4:34Speaker 1: ventriloquist was such a medical invention genius? And as soon
- 4:38Speaker 1: as that happened, everybody in show business, every singer, every comedian,
- 4:43Speaker 1: immediately tried to invent something. They all wanted to make
- 4:46Speaker 1: billions like Paul Winchell did, but of course they weren't
- 4:50Speaker 1: able to do it. But everybody was trying to invent everything.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how are you doing?
- 4:57Speaker 4: I'm okay, Mark. It seems like everybody wants to dump
- 5:01Speaker 4: on Roger Friedman today. I'm not going to dump on him,
- 5:04Speaker 4: but he forgot to mention that on January 6th And
- 5:10Speaker 4: with the demonstrators, I'm not even going to call them protesters,
- 5:15Speaker 4: who supported Donald Trump and who thought the election was stolen,
- 5:18Speaker 4: which I firmly believe it was. There were 250 plainclothes.
- 5:23Speaker 4: FBI agent agitators in with the Trump supporters. No, I'm
- 5:32Speaker 4: not dumping on him.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Don't worry about it. These left wing.
- 5:35Speaker 4: No, I don't.
- 5:36Speaker 1: But he's a showbiz guy. He's a Broadway guy. They're
- 5:39Speaker 1: all like that. I think that stuff. It's not even
- 5:42Speaker 1: worth arguing.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I don't really, I don't care.
- 5:45Speaker 1: No, I understand, but it's not even worth debating.
- 5:47Speaker 4: I just forgot to mention that. Here's one thing I
- 5:50Speaker 4: wanted to say. Didn't the Supreme Court say that these
- 5:54Speaker 4: lower court judges have to stop bringing lawsuits against Donald
- 6:00Speaker 4: Trump if he throws a package of bubble gum on
- 6:04Speaker 4: the floor?
- 6:05Speaker 1: Yeah, no, but I'm just telling you, don't even argue
- 6:08Speaker 1: with them. You know, you could show them all the facts,
- 6:10Speaker 1: all the real stuff. The next day they'll.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Be right back with what they're saying. Mark, I'm talking
- 6:15Speaker 4: about didn't the Supreme Court judges come down and say... Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:21Speaker 1: But don't ever argue. It's like arguing with a Kennedy
- 6:23Speaker 1: conspiracy nut. Nothing's going to convince him of anything. You're
- 6:27Speaker 1: just wasting your breath. But Vincent, thanks for calling.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Thank you very much.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Thanks. Great as always. Your left-wing friends, just yes them
- 6:35Speaker 1: to death. Change the subject. There's nothing you can say,
- 6:38Speaker 1: no document you can show them, nothing you can get
- 6:40Speaker 1: that's going to change anything. So, yeah, Trump, President Trump
- 6:45Speaker 1: about to leave for Alaska right now. Good job. He's
- 6:48Speaker 1: got to fly to Alaska, do a three hour rally
- 6:50Speaker 1: and then fly back to the White. This is all
- 6:52Speaker 1: in one afternoon. That's a lot of work. Anyway, when
- 6:56Speaker 1: we come back, Bill O'Reilly will be with us next.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Lots to talk to him about coming up on 710 WOR.
