- 0:45Speaker 4: welcome to the show.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Now you are also on the radio stop By.
- 0:48Speaker 4: You did the nicest poll on the beat.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Now you are doing our podcast and you.
- 0:52Speaker 5: Have an interesting story.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Yes I'll allow you to elaborate. But you are a
- 0:55Speaker 3: breast cancer survivor. Yes, the details as you shared.
- 1:00Speaker 5: On the radio were very like intricate.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Could you do you mind sharing again?
- 1:06Speaker 6: Yeah, like how I found for the first time views.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I have no problem. So I was twenty six
- 1:12Speaker 1: when I found my tumor. It was a complete accident.
- 1:15Speaker 1: It was no different, no simple than just coming out
- 1:18Speaker 1: of the shower and having too much lotion on my
- 1:21Speaker 1: hands and not knowing where else to rub myself, so
- 1:24Speaker 1: I rubbed my titties and I ended up finding something.
- 1:30Speaker 1: My gut was telling me to get it checked out,
- 1:32Speaker 1: not because any textbook or doctor has ever told me, hey,
- 1:35Speaker 1: you're twenty six, you should be ahead of this, just
- 1:37Speaker 1: because something foreign was in my body. And so I
- 1:42Speaker 1: did a breast ultrasound and something definitely was there, and
- 1:47Speaker 1: we decided to do a lumpectomy just because lump, back
- 1:51Speaker 1: to me, is when they just remove a mass. So
- 1:55Speaker 1: I removed this mass out of my body, and then
- 1:58Speaker 1: the pathology came back. I stayed on breast cancer, and
- 2:01Speaker 1: then two weeks later I did a double misseectomy, which
- 2:05Speaker 1: is when they remove both breasts, but I also had
- 2:08Speaker 1: to remove the right nipple because the cancer was right
- 2:10Speaker 1: behind the nipple. And if I did the double misseectomy
- 2:14Speaker 1: and kept the nipple, then it would have defeated the
- 2:15Speaker 1: purpose because you could still have cancer in the nipple.
- 2:18Speaker 1: And then after that I got an infection. I thought
- 2:23Speaker 1: I was invincible. I thought a double misseectomy is like
- 2:26Speaker 1: bad enough, how much worse can it get than this?
- 2:28Speaker 1: But the fine print when you sign, it's definitely a risk,
- 2:32Speaker 1: especially when you have such a major surgery. And I
- 2:36Speaker 1: think that one of the biggest misconceptions is that people
- 2:39Speaker 1: think that it's a breast augmentation, like, oh, you can
- 2:41Speaker 1: just have a free boob job, But it's not that
- 2:43Speaker 1: at all. A reconstruction postmasectomy is a whole different surgery.
- 2:49Speaker 1: It's a different pricing, it's a different recovery. It's just
- 2:52Speaker 1: completely different than what most people would think.
- 2:55Speaker 5: Buy insurance.
- 2:56Speaker 1: No, so insurance covered my double misseect, but the reconstruction
- 3:01Speaker 1: after they didn't cover, because it's now considered cosmetic and elective.
- 3:07Speaker 1: But by the grace of God, Chloe Kardashian ended up
- 3:10Speaker 1: paying for my surgeries because she's.
- 3:11Speaker 6: What we called that she did.
- 3:14Speaker 1: She did. She still doesn't know this information, but she had.
- 3:18Speaker 1: My last surgery was May of twenty nineteen, and she
- 3:23Speaker 1: had posted my business that Monday night and her tag
- 3:27Speaker 1: is like so small in the corner, like a monochromatic
- 3:30Speaker 1: type of tag. But her fans, they are loyal and
- 3:33Speaker 1: they found me. And the amount of sales I got
- 3:36Speaker 1: in that twenty four hours covered my last surgery, the
- 3:39Speaker 1: surgery before, and the surgery before, so I don't have
- 3:43Speaker 1: stressed about it anymore.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Yeah, the how what is your business?
- 3:48Speaker 1: I have a crystal business.
- 3:50Speaker 5: So crystal like stones, yes.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Which is what I did you open your gift yet? Okay?
- 3:56Speaker 1: But so I have a crystal business. And I was
- 3:59Speaker 1: inspired by the pet therapy that I had during my recovery.
- 4:02Speaker 1: That was like my favorite part of being in the
- 4:04Speaker 1: hospital was when they had the animals come through because
- 4:07Speaker 1: I'm a huge animal lover. And so I created a
- 4:11Speaker 1: pet water bottle that has a crystal inside. It's made
- 4:14Speaker 1: out of glass and the crystal. You can put it
- 4:17Speaker 1: in the refrigerator to keep the water cool during the
- 4:20Speaker 1: hot seasons and there's a snackjar that can snap back into
- 4:23Speaker 1: the bowl. But that wasn't the product that she had posted.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I had my first crystal business pre pandemic, and she
- 4:31Speaker 1: had posted that and she sold me out. And I
- 4:35Speaker 1: remember going into my last surgery asking my doctor like,
- 4:38Speaker 1: am I going to be able to move my arms tomorrow?
- 4:40Speaker 1: Because I have a lot of orders to get out
- 4:42Speaker 1: And ended up being Mother's Day weekend, so like you know,
- 4:45Speaker 1: when you check out, there's like a note section, like
- 4:47Speaker 1: all the notes that I'm reading is like happy Mother's Day,
- 4:49Speaker 1: Granny and happy Mother's Dale was like I have to
- 4:52Speaker 1: get these out, like there's no way people are counting
- 4:54Speaker 1: on me. This is the Mother's Day gift, right, And
- 4:56Speaker 1: so I came out of surgery with drains hanging out,
- 5:00Speaker 1: everything in one by one, making each arrangement for everyone.
- 5:03Speaker 1: But she definitely blessed me and covered the.
- 5:06Speaker 6: Seris that's fire.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Yeah, And I want to talk to her soon so
- 5:10Speaker 1: I could tell her because she has no idea.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Well she's gonna have We're gonna we have proof now
- 5:16Speaker 4: now you know.
- 5:17Speaker 3: We were also talking all Ice and polling the beat
- 5:20Speaker 3: for RMBT two to seven Atlanta, Georgia.
- 5:22Speaker 5: By the way, now, well my wife will get her.
- 5:27Speaker 3: What's it called mammogran They smush it down and she
- 5:30Speaker 3: was like, oh my god, it's so painful. You were saying,
- 5:33Speaker 3: it's a different way that they checked your breast.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I did a breast ultrasound. A breast mammogram isn't
- 5:41Speaker 1: going to work for a woman in the early twenties
- 5:43Speaker 1: because your breasts are too dense. So a breast ultrasound
- 5:47Speaker 1: would be my first recommendation. A second, she.
- 5:49Speaker 5: Just like a regular ultrasounding.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Yeah, no difference. Yeah, same jelly, same machine, just on
- 5:53Speaker 1: your titty and not your belly. No, it's painless, it's easy.
- 5:58Speaker 1: And then the most accurate would be a breast MRI,
- 6:01Speaker 1: which is when you go into the machine, except for
- 6:04Speaker 1: this time you're gonna be laying face down and there's
- 6:06Speaker 1: a little opening where your boobies just hang down and
- 6:09Speaker 1: they can check boobies. Yeah.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Now, after the surgery, they removed your breast. Yeah, now
- 6:20Speaker 3: you had to go get new breasts. That's the cosmetic part. Yes,
- 6:25Speaker 3: and that's what Chloe tagging you in the sales helps
- 6:29Speaker 3: pay for. Yeah, now, how was that because don't they
- 6:33Speaker 3: have to have specific guidelines because you have surgery or
- 6:37Speaker 3: was it just a normal procedure.
- 6:38Speaker 1: So when I did my double missectomy the way that
- 6:41Speaker 1: City of Hope does it, I had the breast oncologist
- 6:44Speaker 1: and a plastic surgeon in the o R.
- 6:46Speaker 5: I had to sign off on everything.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Right, yeah, ok, wait, what do you mean.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Like, do you have to go get checked out because
- 6:52Speaker 3: it's that you're getting it's like a.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Surgical I had to sign off. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 6:56Speaker 1: for sure had to sign off. But I had a
- 6:58Speaker 1: breast oncologist and a plastic surgeon in the OAR at
- 7:01Speaker 1: the same time. So when I woke up, I never
- 7:03Speaker 1: saw myself flat chested. I think that would have been
- 7:06Speaker 1: more traumatizing for me, just because I had such large
- 7:10Speaker 1: natural bus to begin with, and that was my biggest
- 7:12Speaker 1: fear of going into surgeries, like what am I going
- 7:14Speaker 1: to look like when I wake up? But I had
- 7:17Speaker 1: implants in so it wasn't too much of a shock.
- 7:20Speaker 1: The shock came after the double missect me when I
- 7:22Speaker 1: had the infection and they had to put a smaller
- 7:25Speaker 1: implant on the right side. The left implant had already
- 7:28Speaker 1: like dropped into place. I literally had one on my
- 7:30Speaker 1: collarbone and one down here.
- 7:32Speaker 6: Oh wow yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 1: And that's when I looked in the mirror and I
- 7:35Speaker 1: was like, Yo, this is crazy. I've never seen a human,
- 7:39Speaker 1: a female body look like this, And there was no
- 7:41Speaker 1: one I could really ask, like, Hey, what did yours
- 7:45Speaker 1: look like, and how did you get over that mental challenge?
- 7:49Speaker 1: Because it is, like I said earlier on the radio,
- 7:52Speaker 1: it's half the battle is mental. So that was the
- 7:56Speaker 1: hardest part. But then I did more surgeries and then
- 8:01Speaker 1: I'm fine.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Now, So how'd your story get out and how'd you
- 8:03Speaker 3: be able to come, you know, move around and tell
- 8:06Speaker 3: your story.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I did Big Boys show in twenty twenty. Shout out
- 8:09Speaker 1: the Big Boy. I love Big Boy. Shout out big Boy.
- 8:12Speaker 1: He's my guy. I love him. Then I did his
- 8:15Speaker 1: show again in twenty three, and then I'm gonna do
- 8:18Speaker 1: his show again after you guys say, you guys are
- 8:21Speaker 1: my first stop on this little on this little tour.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Yeah, now you gotta come hang out with us because
- 8:27Speaker 3: you got to stay a little longe.
- 8:28Speaker 6: We've got group chat now, Yeah, you got a group chat.
- 8:30Speaker 3: You gotta come, especially come on Wednesday so we can
- 8:33Speaker 3: do the BT's R and B.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Party perfect this time.
- 8:37Speaker 6: There you go.
- 8:38Speaker 1: And if you come to Calabasas, you hit me up.
- 8:40Speaker 5: I've never been to Calabasas.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Come.
- 8:42Speaker 3: I've been to calabas very That's that's one of the
- 8:45Speaker 3: very nice areas.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Correct, Yeah, Calabasas is all it is another city.
- 8:49Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, I didn't know that. Is it in the hills?
- 8:53Speaker 4: No, No, it's like flat.
- 8:55Speaker 6: Yeah, it's weird, bro, it's not weird.
- 8:58Speaker 7: What I'm saying is like, is weird because like when
- 9:00Speaker 7: you think of Calabasas, when you think of like, you know,
- 9:04Speaker 7: upscale areas in LA, you think of like you know,
- 9:06Speaker 7: you in the mountains and stuff like that, and then
- 9:09Speaker 7: you go to Calabasas and it's like flat.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Good restaurants, good, good food.
- 9:15Speaker 1: They're doing better.
- 9:16Speaker 4: They ain't got no restaurants in Calabama.
- 9:18Speaker 1: That was getting better. In the commons. They have a
- 9:19Speaker 1: couple of new spots.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I got a bunch of gas stations out there.
- 9:22Speaker 1: No, we got a lot of animals out there. There's
- 9:27Speaker 1: good food. Now. We got air one out there. Have
- 9:29Speaker 1: you had air One?
- 9:31Speaker 4: Well?
- 9:32Speaker 7: The funny thing I googled a smoothie spot and I
- 9:35Speaker 7: was in LA and I told my homie. I was like, yo,
- 9:38Speaker 7: let's go to the spot. Air one is like a
- 9:40Speaker 7: smoothie spot. And he said, I ain't letting you go
- 9:43Speaker 7: in there.
- 9:43Speaker 4: I was like why. He said, this is the most
- 9:46Speaker 4: expensive place in the country.
- 9:48Speaker 7: And I was like, man, no, it's not. He's like man,
- 9:50Speaker 7: this with a Kardashian. So I went on TikTok and
- 9:53Speaker 7: I looked it up and I was like.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Yeah, man, you didn't go you should try it at
- 9:57Speaker 1: least one.
- 9:57Speaker 4: We don't pass that.
- 9:59Speaker 5: How much is this?
- 10:00Speaker 1: I think a couple of months ago they had like
- 10:06Speaker 1: a single strawberry in nineteen ninety nine that came from Japan.
- 10:10Speaker 4: I don't care if it came from Egypt.
- 10:12Speaker 5: Oh okay, I'm not paying old twenty nationality.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I'm Assyrian and Persian Iranian Assyrian?
- 10:20Speaker 5: Now what is that Syria?
- 10:22Speaker 1: No, we don't even have a country. I speak Aramaic
- 10:24Speaker 1: and Farsi. English is my third language.
- 10:27Speaker 5: That's fire.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Yeah, Aramic, Aramaic. It's a language Jesus spoke. Have you
- 10:32Speaker 1: seen the Muse the movie Passion of the Christ? Yeah,
- 10:35Speaker 1: so I can understand that movie without reading subtitles.
- 10:40Speaker 5: Fire wow.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Yeah, three languages.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Nicole, are you single?
- 10:46Speaker 1: I am?
- 10:47Speaker 5: So you are single?
- 10:48Speaker 7: I am?
- 10:49Speaker 4: It's that?
- 10:49Speaker 5: What what asking? She's on ball alert? It's time for you?
- 10:55Speaker 5: You like me? This is when you look at that camera,
- 10:58Speaker 5: you know, you shout out your crush? Do you have
- 10:59Speaker 5: a crush from somebody?
- 11:00Speaker 1: Now I'm traumatized I'm good right now. So you're I'm
- 11:03Speaker 1: single looking Nope, my eyes are closed.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Not checking the DM.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Nope.
- 11:09Speaker 5: Well it's now time for you got me.
- 11:12Speaker 3: What's some things that get on your damn nerves?
- 11:15Speaker 1: Like my ex?
- 11:16Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 11:16Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it doesn't have to be your ex.
- 11:20Speaker 6: Well, go ahead, no, my eck like an eh, like
- 11:24Speaker 6: you nerve calabasas.
- 11:26Speaker 1: That's not a calabasis thing.
- 11:28Speaker 5: I don't speak la.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Have you not heard of an egg?
- 11:33Speaker 5: I never heard of that word before. You never like
- 11:35Speaker 5: I got four dollars.
- 11:36Speaker 6: They don't say that really.
- 11:38Speaker 5: Bro, you never heard that on the show? Like what what? Like?
- 11:42Speaker 1: It can be like anything anything that like bothers You're.
- 11:45Speaker 6: Like, oh, well, maybe I missed it.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Do you have any eggs?
- 11:50Speaker 6: I got a whole bunch of Okay, what's one of them?
- 11:52Speaker 5: Facetiming me back to the back.
- 11:54Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I don't answer the first time.
- 11:56Speaker 5: I really do.
- 11:56Speaker 3: I'm doing something that doesn't require me. I can't answer
- 12:00Speaker 3: it now, and then you're gonna FaceTime me back to bat.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:03Speaker 6: What if it's your wife, Oh, I'm answering her.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Okay, what about your daughters?
- 12:06Speaker 5: I'm answering there.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Okay, So you're selective.
- 12:09Speaker 3: I'm extremely so those might be the only ones I get.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I have one son. Yeah, I might not answer. He'd
- 12:15Speaker 3: be facetimed me by some stumps, some stupid stuff.
- 12:18Speaker 1: It is rock, Oh that's cut.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, look at this rock.
- 12:24Speaker 5: I'm really cap Little.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Rari does not talk like that. His son does not.
- 12:30Speaker 5: Town for Little Riri. I pick on my son.
- 12:33Speaker 6: How old is he about to be?
- 12:34Speaker 5: Fourteen? Like he's the only boy.
- 12:37Speaker 3: So when I see him, we wrestle and fight because
- 12:39Speaker 3: I'd be like, dude, I'm oh, I got number of
- 12:42Speaker 3: girls in this house.
- 12:42Speaker 5: Yeah, you guys are a lot of work.
- 12:44Speaker 6: It's great though, Yeah, it'd be great when I get
- 12:47Speaker 6: old and they take care.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Of No, it's great to be your girl, dad.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it's amazing, right, But also when it's that
- 12:54Speaker 3: time of the month. I have seventeen year old, twenty
- 12:57Speaker 3: one year old, eight year old, and the two year old.
- 13:00Speaker 5: She the ring leader. But enough about me, what's your
- 13:05Speaker 5: is it?
- 13:07Speaker 1: My ick is, don't lie to me because I will
- 13:10Speaker 1: find out. I'm too much of an investigator.
- 13:14Speaker 4: All women.
- 13:16Speaker 5: They have the FBI on Sterois. My wife the FBI.
- 13:21Speaker 5: You find outut the other day she's definitely there vel.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Like sometimes I'll find shit out and I'm like questioning,
- 13:28Speaker 1: why did I have to find this? Is like a
- 13:30Speaker 1: blessing and a curse.
- 13:31Speaker 5: Looking for it.
- 13:32Speaker 7: If I need to see y'all gotta stop doing it. No,
- 13:35Speaker 7: women gotta stop go looking for troll don't lie?
- 13:39Speaker 5: What if people omit?
- 13:41Speaker 1: Don't lie?
- 13:41Speaker 4: That's like omitting.
- 13:43Speaker 5: Lie. Yeah, technically is not.
- 13:45Speaker 1: If you you're omitting because you think that it's going
- 13:48Speaker 1: to get you in trouble.
- 13:49Speaker 5: Well, I don't want to hear man.
- 13:52Speaker 7: I don't like going through nobody nothing. I don't want
- 13:54Speaker 7: to find nothing. If the Lord wants me to find something,
- 13:57Speaker 7: the Lord was would say, here you go be to
- 14:00Speaker 7: you this This.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Was man go through my phone.
- 14:02Speaker 3: I know she's not cheating on me, but maybe she said,
- 14:04Speaker 3: let me tell you all what the big head motherfucker said.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Yeah, we know women are gonna be talking about us.
- 14:10Speaker 4: You know, you know, you know that's definitely gonna happen.
- 14:15Speaker 7: That's what That's why me and that's why we don't
- 14:17Speaker 7: we We can't take pain.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys cannot take the same pain.
- 14:22Speaker 4: You can't take pain.
- 14:24Speaker 5: I don't want to I don't want to know nothing.
- 14:26Speaker 1: What's your eck? My?
- 14:28Speaker 7: It is people calling me back to back to back,
- 14:30Speaker 7: because then I started getting anxiety because I hate when
- 14:33Speaker 7: when people are.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Like forcefully trying to reach me.
- 14:36Speaker 7: I don't like that because I'm like, what is so
- 14:39Speaker 7: important to make you randomly call.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Me back to back to back to back to back
- 14:45Speaker 4: and people.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Do to be like, hey, are you good?
- 14:49Speaker 5: No text me everything?
- 14:51Speaker 4: No, I don't. I don't even answer the phone. You
- 14:53Speaker 4: know what I'm saying.
- 14:54Speaker 7: I let I let that, I let the dust settle,
- 14:56Speaker 7: and then I'll take some time and be like, what's up?
- 15:00Speaker 4: And then it's normally not ship.
- 15:01Speaker 7: It's normally like people want you to do something or
- 15:04Speaker 7: want something.
- 15:05Speaker 5: When they reach him, then they call.
- 15:06Speaker 6: Me okay, I don't don't.
- 15:11Speaker 7: I don't like I'm not a phone god, like if
- 15:13Speaker 7: I could be like Ed sharing and he shared the story,
- 15:17Speaker 7: Well he emails.
- 15:19Speaker 4: He said he hasn't had a phone number in ten years.
- 15:21Speaker 7: Really yeah, Ed Sharon said that he said the only
- 15:24Speaker 7: way that people can reach him is through email.
- 15:26Speaker 5: So what he does is he.
- 15:27Speaker 7: Takes time out of his day and he responds to
- 15:29Speaker 7: all of his emails and then he go back to
- 15:31Speaker 7: living his life.
- 15:32Speaker 1: There you go.
- 15:33Speaker 4: If I could do that, I would.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't want to do that. No, I want
- 15:39Speaker 1: to text FaceTime call.
- 15:40Speaker 4: I don't want to.
- 15:41Speaker 5: When you're in a relationship, you're in someone's skin.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Okay, I told you especially this is a guy after cancer.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I'm attached to you now. Yeah, and if you don't answer,
- 15:51Speaker 1: I'll walk next door.
- 15:53Speaker 5: Fellas you were telling us your past relationship, he used
- 15:57Speaker 5: to be your neighbor.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, Yeah.
- 16:00Speaker 4: That's crazy. He was hunching all your neighbor.
- 16:03Speaker 7: Yeah, to ask Wow, it's like, hey, was he the
- 16:08Speaker 7: boy next door?
- 16:09Speaker 5: I was?
- 16:10Speaker 1: I was the girl next door because because.
- 16:12Speaker 5: He kept the house next door, it's a.
- 16:15Speaker 4: House, so he would so he was pursuing you. Well.
- 16:18Speaker 1: The thing is is like I was friends with his
- 16:21Speaker 1: mom for a really long time, and I used to
- 16:24Speaker 1: for a year, like a year, year and a half maybe,
- 16:26Speaker 1: and like I used to cry to her like I'm
- 16:28Speaker 1: not going to date anyone, Like I got scars, I
- 16:30Speaker 1: got got a nipple tattoo, Like who's gonna want to
- 16:33Speaker 1: date me? And then I met her son and her
- 16:36Speaker 1: his son was confused because he kept hearing about like
- 16:39Speaker 1: the girl next door who had just beat cancer and
- 16:42Speaker 1: then when we met, he was thrown off guard because
- 16:44Speaker 1: usually when people hear of someone having cancer, they think, like,
- 16:47Speaker 1: you're bald, do you have no hair or lashes or
- 16:51Speaker 1: browser or whatever. You just look sick, And I didn't
- 16:55Speaker 1: look sick when he met me, and so he was
- 16:58Speaker 1: just as confused as I was. I was like, as
- 17:00Speaker 1: soon as I met him, I was like, this guy
- 17:01Speaker 1: cannot live next door, Like this is gonna be a problem.
- 17:05Speaker 1: I knew, yeah, but it worked out. It was fine
- 17:09Speaker 1: because all my girlfriends used to like clown me and
- 17:12Speaker 1: be like, you got to leave the house. How are
- 17:13Speaker 1: you going to meet someone? And I'm like, well, he
- 17:15Speaker 1: might move next door. And he did, and he did,
- 17:18Speaker 1: and it was the best and the worst situation. That's crazy, Yeah,
- 17:23Speaker 1: just because worse in the sense like you can't ever
- 17:25Speaker 1: really have space from each other, like you're waking up
- 17:28Speaker 1: to the same sounds. You're right next to each other.
- 17:32Speaker 4: So where you at next door?
- 17:35Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 17:38Speaker 3: Yeah, well, listen, we appreciate you spendusal time with us
- 17:41Speaker 3: on ball Alert down.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Do you have any other questions for me? Do I'm
- 17:44Speaker 1: going to drop a teer? No?
- 17:47Speaker 3: No, no, When you drop the teer on the radio,
- 17:49Speaker 3: I feel bad and I was about to drop a tier.
- 17:50Speaker 5: I do not want to drop one on camera.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Ah, it's okay.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Now, do you participate a lot before we go? Do
- 17:57Speaker 3: you participate a lot in any breast cancer walks or
- 18:01Speaker 3: anything like that?
- 18:02Speaker 1: No?
- 18:03Speaker 5: No, okay.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I used to as a kid when my mom had
- 18:06Speaker 1: breast cancer. My mom had breast cancer too, but we
- 18:10Speaker 1: don't have the gene. We used to do the susan
- 18:12Speaker 1: Ci come and walk. But I feel like, as an adult,
- 18:19Speaker 1: can I keep it real?
- 18:20Speaker 4: Real?
- 18:21Speaker 1: Okay? I feel like all of these organizations that say,
- 18:23Speaker 1: like donate, donate, find a cure for cancer, I feel
- 18:25Speaker 1: like there is a cure for cancer, but no one's
- 18:27Speaker 1: ever going to say anything because there's too much money
- 18:29Speaker 1: behind it. Yeah. So they finally had a cure for HIV.
- 18:34Speaker 4: You saw that or we will see?
- 18:37Speaker 5: No, No, it's out. It's literally a cure.
- 18:40Speaker 4: Is that CBS?
- 18:42Speaker 5: No?
- 18:42Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 18:43Speaker 5: I just saw that. It's a final cure.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Yeah. But I always rather than donating money for cancer
- 18:52Speaker 1: research because I feel like that's been around for one
- 18:55Speaker 1: hundred years, and how is there not a public cure?
- 18:58Speaker 5: It can't be money in the vacsin but it's a
- 19:01Speaker 5: think about this.
- 19:02Speaker 7: The vaccine was created within a year. They are diseases
- 19:06Speaker 7: that has been around for one hundred years.
- 19:10Speaker 3: People, mind, we have vaccines in US that are required
- 19:12Speaker 3: that people died from back in the day, though like
- 19:15Speaker 3: hundreds of years ago.
- 19:16Speaker 4: You're like chicken pox and.
- 19:18Speaker 5: Stuff like all the other stuff.
- 19:19Speaker 3: People just get really sick from those little small vaccines
- 19:22Speaker 3: that we have now, thats standard.
- 19:23Speaker 7: But the COVID vaccination was created within a year, It's
- 19:29Speaker 7: all I'm saying.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like if I were to raise money,
- 19:31Speaker 1: I would rather pay that money forward for a patient
- 19:34Speaker 1: to have reconstructive surgery. That way I could see where
- 19:37Speaker 1: the money goes. And like, I know that if I
- 19:40Speaker 1: wasn't in a position where I could financially afford my
- 19:43Speaker 1: plastic surgeon, I wouldn't look how I looked today. And
- 19:46Speaker 1: I don't think that it's fair that women don't have
- 19:48Speaker 1: the same opportunity that I did. And insurance, like we
- 19:51Speaker 1: talked about earlier, they don't cover these surgeries a lot
- 19:54Speaker 1: of the times because it's now considered elective and cosmetics.
- 19:57Speaker 1: So I would like to pay it forward by paying
- 20:01Speaker 1: for a patient surgery instead of just throwing it at
- 20:04Speaker 1: an organization where somebody's making money off of it, and
- 20:07Speaker 1: we still got no care.
- 20:09Speaker 5: Somebody's making money.
- 20:10Speaker 3: They have over hundreds of millions of dollars of cancer research.
- 20:15Speaker 6: Yes, where's the care?
- 20:17Speaker 5: How many people have we lost to cancer that we're famous?
- 20:20Speaker 5: Not famous?
- 20:21Speaker 7: And then the crazy thing about it is like even
- 20:23Speaker 7: when you even in Atlanta, like you look, you see
- 20:25Speaker 7: billboard signs about HIV and all this stuff, and I'm like,
- 20:29Speaker 7: y'all spending money on billboards, where's where's the cure? Yeah?
- 20:34Speaker 5: Here for HIV set we gonna see.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Yeah, that's chat GVT.
- 20:39Speaker 5: Don't see you don't even got chat GBT.
- 20:42Speaker 4: I got Google.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Yeah. See see.
- 20:45Speaker 3: We appreciate you spend some time with us having when
- 20:47Speaker 3: we go, one last question mental health checking and one
- 20:51Speaker 3: time for Keisha.
- 20:52Speaker 5: How do you keep your mental health strong? What do
- 20:55Speaker 5: you do if you're having a bad day? What do
- 20:57Speaker 5: you do?
- 20:58Speaker 1: I spend a lot of time with thin animals. I
- 21:01Speaker 1: really I'm only down to two now.
- 21:05Speaker 6: But a dog and a cat, A dog and a cat,
- 21:08Speaker 6: they get along, Yes.
- 21:10Speaker 1: They love each other. My cat actually just got diagnosed
- 21:13Speaker 1: with them fulmless. I'm gonna have to put her down. Yeah,
- 21:16Speaker 1: I know they want they wanted me to do it.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Before I came out to Atlanta, I was like, I
- 21:21Speaker 1: cannot do that because I'll be bawling my eyes out
- 21:25Speaker 1: over that. So I rely a lot on my family,
- 21:29Speaker 1: my sister, my girlfriends, and then if it gets really bad,
- 21:32Speaker 1: then I'm calling my therapist and be like, Okay, I
- 21:35Speaker 1: need to tap in with you really quick. But I
- 21:38Speaker 1: just surround myself that with people that love and support me.
- 21:42Speaker 1: And sometimes something as simple as just going outside and
- 21:46Speaker 1: like going for a walk and just having some sun
- 21:48Speaker 1: will help you feel better. Journal journaling is helpful. Listening
- 21:52Speaker 1: to music if you need to be in your depressed
- 21:54Speaker 1: girl era and listen to sad songs, listen to it.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Some days, I'll eat a lot if I need to
- 22:01Speaker 1: eat my feelings away. But you know, whatever makes you
- 22:04Speaker 1: feel better, Yeah, yeah.
- 22:06Speaker 5: Give me there you go, Nicole, appreciate you pulling.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Up on the ver so much. But cancer, yeah for real,
- 22:14Speaker 1: fuck Cancer
