- 0:00Speaker 1: It Tashi's skill as a shanobi is often debated. Could
- 0:03Speaker 1: it be that he was the strongest uchih to ever live?
- 0:07Speaker 1: And they say this crazy thing when Madera Uchih is
- 0:10Speaker 1: right there. What I'm not a moderist, Dan, You're just
- 0:13Speaker 1: a denier. Oh well, all right. I mean Itachi as
- 0:16Speaker 1: an eedotense was stronger than pain and naruto and eto
- 0:20Speaker 1: tense makes you weaker. So if an etotense Iachi is
- 0:24Speaker 1: stronger than a living one, we see how much his
- 0:27Speaker 1: disease nerved him. Some people question what it would have
- 0:30Speaker 1: been like if Iachi hadn't been nerfed half to death
- 0:33Speaker 1: and back like he had been, And the answer is
- 0:36Speaker 1: he probably would have been really, really strong. But you
- 0:39Speaker 1: know me, sometimes a good story is better than any boost.
- 0:43Speaker 1: So go ahead and put your calculators away and let
- 0:46Speaker 1: me cook you up a tasty story about what if
- 0:48Speaker 1: Itachi never got sick? Welcome to the Imagi. Only twenty
- 0:52Speaker 1: five percent of our viewers are subscribed, so if you're
- 0:55Speaker 1: a fan of the video, please like and double check
- 0:57Speaker 1: if you are subscribed. And with that out of the way,
- 0:59Speaker 1: let's get into the video. You are perhaps the greatest
- 1:02Speaker 1: shnobi in our generation, came the voice of a happy father.
- 1:06Speaker 1: You very well could be the strongest uchi Ha to
- 1:08Speaker 1: ever walk the earth. You could become the strongest Shinobi
- 1:11Speaker 1: in history, Fugaku said as he held his son above
- 1:14Speaker 1: his head, Itachi laughing like a child does when given
- 1:17Speaker 1: the unrelenting attention and care they so crave. Father and
- 1:20Speaker 1: son was such a precious bond. This was way back
- 1:23Speaker 1: during the simple times, back when everyone was happy, when
- 1:26Speaker 1: blessings came down upon the house of Uchiha like drops
- 1:29Speaker 1: of rain. But we all knew that it wouldn't last forever,
- 1:32Speaker 1: and we never knew that it would end the way
- 1:34Speaker 1: it did. I'd looked back on it sometimes in wonder
- 1:37Speaker 1: did I do everything I could have? Was there more
- 1:40Speaker 1: I could do? I am but a human, a shanobi
- 1:43Speaker 1: blessed with skill, abilities and resources. But what I am
- 1:47Speaker 1: anyone could have been. At my heart, I am just
- 1:51Speaker 1: a man. This same outcome could have been the same
- 1:53Speaker 1: for anyone. It could have been anyone, and in any
- 1:56Speaker 1: other world it could have been me who was laying
- 1:59Speaker 1: on the ground dying instead of my family. I question
- 2:02Speaker 1: why it had to come to this, why it needed
- 2:04Speaker 1: to be this way? Iachi sat there in the darkness
- 2:07Speaker 1: in his arms. He cradled tight the young Saske in
- 2:09Speaker 1: his arms as the boy struggled with the very functions
- 2:12Speaker 1: required for life. As tears ran down i Tachi's cheeks,
- 2:16Speaker 1: he begged Saske to fight. I didn't give up everything
- 2:19Speaker 1: for this, he shouted. I did the hard thing, and
- 2:22Speaker 1: now you damn well better do it too. You hear me, Saske,
- 2:25Speaker 1: You damn well better fight. The forest was quiet. The
- 2:29Speaker 1: green was deep with darkness, only shafts of light pouring
- 2:32Speaker 1: down from the canopy above. The birds chirped, and the
- 2:35Speaker 1: sound of flowing water could be heard, the flowing sound
- 2:38Speaker 1: of water and drums, the drums of war, the drums
- 2:42Speaker 1: of the heart beating in your ear. A shadow passed
- 2:45Speaker 1: by quickly, and moments later it was followed by two
- 2:48Speaker 1: others coming to a stop. The man looked back at
- 2:50Speaker 1: his pursuers, two very powerful shinobi, one he had worked with.
- 2:55Speaker 1: You need to come back with us, Mukai Iachi said,
- 2:57Speaker 1: as he stood there holding his tonto. Muki looked up
- 3:00Speaker 1: into the trees with a sigh. He raised his fingers
- 3:02Speaker 1: in a half ram sign for a second, as if
- 3:04Speaker 1: activating anijutsu, though nothing happened. However, his chakra flared momentarily.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I'm going to need to find a way to explain
- 3:12Speaker 1: this to my boy, he said, having reassimilated the chakra
- 3:15Speaker 1: he lost to create a shadow clone to spend time
- 3:17Speaker 1: with his ill child. Itachi stood there with Shisui beside him,
- 3:21Speaker 1: Mukai stretched a little preparing for an intense fight. Shisui
- 3:24Speaker 1: and i Tachi had followed this man here under orders
- 3:27Speaker 1: straight from Donzo Shimura, who had told them that Mukai
- 3:30Speaker 1: had betrayed the village and its secrets to the village
- 3:33Speaker 1: hidden in the midst This was a shame to Iachi,
- 3:36Speaker 1: as he had been in many teams with Mukai and
- 3:38Speaker 1: had always seen him as a very honorable warrior, proud
- 3:41Speaker 1: and strong. He recalled the time they had to go
- 3:44Speaker 1: to Suna to witness the advent of a secret meeting
- 3:46Speaker 1: to formalize an alliance between the Mist and the Sand,
- 3:49Speaker 1: but during their mission, one of the men flubbed it
- 3:52Speaker 1: and they were chased without hope of escape. Mukai elected
- 3:55Speaker 1: to remain behind to protect them from the Sand Ninja.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Itachi was sure he'd never see Mukai again. But like
- 4:01Speaker 1: the athlete's foot, Ittachi kept applying powder to you couldn't
- 4:04Speaker 1: seem to get rid of him. Iachi had trusted Mukai,
- 4:07Speaker 1: had believed in Mukai, respected him as one of his
- 4:10Speaker 1: own personal heroes, and now to find out that he
- 4:13Speaker 1: was a trader was in all ways soul crushing. Despite
- 4:17Speaker 1: that anger and rage, he didn't want to kill Mukai.
- 4:20Speaker 1: He wanted him to surrender so they could take him
- 4:22Speaker 1: back for justice. But Mukai alone understood the gravity of
- 4:26Speaker 1: his crimes and the punishment of them. There was no
- 4:29Speaker 1: going back at this moment. There were only two choices,
- 4:33Speaker 1: life or death, and that's why, with next to no
- 4:36Speaker 1: more chatter, they entered into battle. Mukai rushed at Iachi
- 4:40Speaker 1: to disembowel him with a blade strike, but that Iachi
- 4:42Speaker 1: he struck turned out to be a crow clone. Surprised,
- 4:45Speaker 1: he was then attacked by Shisui, who had attempted to
- 4:48Speaker 1: make use of the opening that Mukai had left in
- 4:50Speaker 1: his attack on Iachi's clone, But Mukai was not to
- 4:53Speaker 1: be so easily taken. The two traded blows to no avail,
- 4:56Speaker 1: nothing ever connecting. All the while, Iachi was no whay
- 5:00Speaker 1: to be seen. Iachi was waiting in silence, waiting for
- 5:03Speaker 1: the perfect time to attack, but where Mukai did the
- 5:06Speaker 1: best thing he could to guess. He assumed that this
- 5:09Speaker 1: plan wasn't i Tachi's alone and that Shisuwi was in
- 5:12Speaker 1: on it too, meaning he could glean enough information just
- 5:15Speaker 1: from Shisui's movements and actions. Chisuwe pushed his advantages hard
- 5:19Speaker 1: and Mukai began to suspect that Shisuwi was steering him somewhere.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Using this information, he realized where Iachi was hiding. There
- 5:26Speaker 1: was only one thing he could do now when that
- 5:28Speaker 1: was spring the trap. Iachi was banking on the element
- 5:31Speaker 1: of surprise, but now that Mukai knew of his location,
- 5:34Speaker 1: the only surprise would be Iachi's realization that he'd lost
- 5:37Speaker 1: the advantage to Mukai. Kicking at Shisuwi, he broke off
- 5:40Speaker 1: from him and stepped into Iachi's killbox. At that moment,
- 5:43Speaker 1: Iachi sprung into action, intent to use his Sharanghan to
- 5:47Speaker 1: cast genjutsu on Mukai and capture him, but it didn't work.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Mukai was privy to his location and now it was
- 5:54Speaker 1: too late. Muki turned around, avoiding eye contact with Iachi
- 5:58Speaker 1: and activated his own hidden beyond kuan, a single white
- 6:01Speaker 1: eye inherited from his own diluted Huga blood, activating the
- 6:05Speaker 1: gentle fist series of techniques, Mukai struck out at Itachi,
- 6:09Speaker 1: stabbing at his ten katsu with nothing but pointed strikes
- 6:12Speaker 1: designed to incapacitate and sadly kill his former comrade. However,
- 6:17Speaker 1: just as he went to deliver the fatal blow, Mukai's
- 6:20Speaker 1: eye saw not the face of Itachi, but instead the
- 6:23Speaker 1: face of his own eleven year old son staring back
- 6:25Speaker 1: at him. He hesitated. This gave Shisui the chance to
- 6:28Speaker 1: attack from behind, hoping to use the bia kugan's blind
- 6:31Speaker 1: spot as cover. But the attack was imperfect, and Mukai
- 6:35Speaker 1: saw a touch of a foot in his peripheral He
- 6:37Speaker 1: knew that Shisui was using his blind spot. Turning around,
- 6:40Speaker 1: he caught Shisui by the throat and held him there.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Mukai was split. They were enemy Shinobi to be killed.
- 6:46Speaker 1: This was the flaw of the way Konoha worked, the
- 6:49Speaker 1: way the Shanobi world worked. Say what you will about
- 6:52Speaker 1: the curse of hatred, Mukai was never sure about that.
- 6:55Speaker 1: What he did focus on was the need for reform.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Child's soldiers were never going to be a good idea
- 7:01Speaker 1: and were as morally dark as anything. Mukai, of course
- 7:05Speaker 1: believed this because he was a father himself, and maybe
- 7:08Speaker 1: Donzo knew that and had sent these two knowing that
- 7:11Speaker 1: deep down, Mukai didn't have the heart to kill them.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Ianchi began to approach despite being hit with a gentle fist.
- 7:17Speaker 1: What movements he could make were all made for Shisui's defense.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Slowly drawing near with his sharangn activated, Mukai spoke to
- 7:24Speaker 1: i Tachi, don't even try it. Your sharinggun's genjutsu is
- 7:28Speaker 1: not strong enough to overpower my biyaku gan's resistance. Is
- 7:31Speaker 1: that so, Shisui said, drawing Mukai's attention. Suddenly, Mukai's eye
- 7:35Speaker 1: made contact with a mungek yo Sharanghan. Upon doing so,
- 7:38Speaker 1: he felt overwhelmed by ganjutsu. As pre programmed. To keep
- 7:42Speaker 1: himself from being taken in for interrogation, Muki pulled his
- 7:45Speaker 1: blade and drove it into his own stomach, surprising Shisui
- 7:49Speaker 1: and Iachi both why, Iachi asked, as Mukai fell to
- 7:52Speaker 1: the ground. We both know that I wouldn't survive interrogation.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I'm a trader. I sold out Konoha and its secrets.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Muky said, no, why did you betray us in the
- 8:03Speaker 1: first place, Iachi asked. Muki looked to Iachi and spoke,
- 8:07Speaker 1: Sometimes you are forced to make a tough decision that
- 8:10Speaker 1: you don't want to make. He said, my son is sick.
- 8:14Speaker 1: The only hope he has is a rare and expensive treatment,
- 8:19Speaker 1: one that I can't afford on my paycheck. I was
- 8:22Speaker 1: left no other option. Kitty paid well for the secrets,
- 8:26Speaker 1: and I use that money for my son. Looking to
- 8:29Speaker 1: the two of them, he spoke, as Shinobi, god, family, country,
- 8:34Speaker 1: But when those three things conflict, which will you choose?
- 8:38Speaker 1: Which will you be forced to choose over the others.
- 8:41Speaker 1: In my case, I had to choose between my country
- 8:44Speaker 1: and my family. My country wasn't helping me. Some may
- 8:48Speaker 1: say different, but for me, the idea of watching my
- 8:51Speaker 1: son dying slowly of something I could have treated outweighed
- 8:55Speaker 1: the pain of my country's scorn. And what about the
- 8:57Speaker 1: people who would die due to your decisions? We asked,
- 9:00Speaker 1: you know what happens when you sell information to the enemy.
- 9:03Speaker 1: The enemy uses it to destroy us. It's why they're
- 9:06Speaker 1: called the enemy. Your decision could see the deaths of
- 9:09Speaker 1: countless sons robbed from their fathers and mothers by things
- 9:12Speaker 1: that could have been prevented. Does your logic still hold
- 9:15Speaker 1: up now? Muki reached into his pocket for a cigarette,
- 9:18Speaker 1: pulling it out, he struggled to put it in his mouth.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I never claimed it, did, he said, trying to light it,
- 9:24Speaker 1: but finding his motor functions failing. Iachi took the lighter
- 9:28Speaker 1: up in his hand and brought it to the face
- 9:29Speaker 1: of Mukai, where he lit the cigarette for him. Muki
- 9:32Speaker 1: took a deep breath in of the smoke. Looking at Shisui,
- 9:35Speaker 1: he asked the question, what was that I of yours
- 9:38Speaker 1: called Shisuwe let the question hang without an answer. Muki
- 9:42Speaker 1: let out a sigh and spoke again. If you had
- 9:45Speaker 1: to choose between two duties, if you lost everything and
- 9:48Speaker 1: there was no right choice to make, which would you choose?
- 9:51Speaker 1: And with that Mukai was gone. Itachi sat there as
- 9:55Speaker 1: the cigarette began to sag from his lip, watching it
- 9:58Speaker 1: fall to the ground. Iachi and she s we would
- 10:00Speaker 1: make it known that Mukai worked alone. His family would
- 10:03Speaker 1: suffer enough without him to bring Konoha's government down upon them,
- 10:06Speaker 1: for something like this would just be too cruel. Mukai
- 10:10Speaker 1: paid for his crimes and now it was time to forget.
- 10:13Speaker 1: But all the same, Iachi couldn't forget. He watched over
- 10:17Speaker 1: the family of Mukai for a time until the illness
- 10:19Speaker 1: finally caught up with Mukai's son. The family was rocked
- 10:22Speaker 1: by these two losses. Without Mukai to protect them, they
- 10:25Speaker 1: were cast about like a ship on uncertain waves, and
- 10:29Speaker 1: with the death of his son from this illness, it
- 10:31Speaker 1: seemed as though there was very little left to call
- 10:33Speaker 1: a family anymore. They held tight to each other, but
- 10:36Speaker 1: they were in a dark tunnel, and even if there
- 10:39Speaker 1: was light at the end, they did not see it.
- 10:41Speaker 1: They gave up on leaving long ago, and that was
- 10:44Speaker 1: the tragedy of this. Iachi began to contemplate everything as
- 10:48Speaker 1: he went home. Getting back to his home, he had
- 10:50Speaker 1: a life to enjoy, which made him feel blessed, but
- 10:53Speaker 1: the words of Mukai Kohinata never left his mind. As
- 10:56Speaker 1: the next two years went by, however, the world around
- 10:59Speaker 1: them continued to change. Itachi found himself thrown into a
- 11:02Speaker 1: conflict with his father that he never wanted. The times
- 11:05Speaker 1: where he was carried on his father's shoulders, the time
- 11:08Speaker 1: when he was held up high and spun around as
- 11:10Speaker 1: though he were caught in a tornado of love, were gone.
- 11:13Speaker 1: You're a man now, he was told. If you think
- 11:15Speaker 1: you're old enough to go against me, then you're too
- 11:18Speaker 1: old for things like that. Fugaku would let him know
- 11:21Speaker 1: in no uncertain terms. With the entire village seeming to
- 11:24Speaker 1: turn against the Uchiha, and the Uchiha seeming to turn
- 11:27Speaker 1: against the village slowly as though he had been cursed
- 11:30Speaker 1: by Mukai, he now found himself in a similar position.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Choose between your duties. The only comfort that Iachi had
- 11:38Speaker 1: was in his little brother. Unable to find the same
- 11:41Speaker 1: level of comfort in his father that he used to,
- 11:43Speaker 1: he instead showered Saske with everything Iachi himself couldn't have
- 11:48Speaker 1: in hopes of fostering that relationship. Saske was in the academy, too,
- 11:52Speaker 1: attempting to become a shenobi, and though Iachi never wanted
- 11:55Speaker 1: his brother to become like him, he knew that there
- 11:57Speaker 1: was no stopping him. Saske was Oh, go go all
- 12:01Speaker 1: the time, and he struggled and fought through things that
- 12:03Speaker 1: lesser children would collapse to, all in the effort to
- 12:06Speaker 1: prove that he was as strong as everyone else, unaware
- 12:10Speaker 1: that he was showing himself stronger. Saske was his precious
- 12:13Speaker 1: little brother, the one he would do all for, and
- 12:16Speaker 1: as they trained, they also played, making their exercises into
- 12:19Speaker 1: something fun. As they jumped through the forest playing a
- 12:22Speaker 1: nice game of tag. It was Saske who was running
- 12:24Speaker 1: and laughing from Iachi as he chased the young fellow
- 12:27Speaker 1: through the woods. It became clear that Saske was getting
- 12:30Speaker 1: a bit tired, so as he slowed down, Iachi came
- 12:33Speaker 1: up behind him and grabbed him tag. He shouted, you're
- 12:36Speaker 1: it Now it's your turn, he said. Iachi began to
- 12:38Speaker 1: rush off, but Saske didn't follow. Iachi looked back, seeing
- 12:42Speaker 1: Saske leaned up against a tree. He stopped and began
- 12:45Speaker 1: to return Saske, he asked. Saske coughed into his hand
- 12:49Speaker 1: and wheezed a bit. Is it your asthma again? Get
- 12:51Speaker 1: you're inhaler, he said. Saske fumbled for it in his pocket,
- 12:55Speaker 1: pulling it free. His hand shook and he dropped it.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Iachi bent down to pick it up. After doing so,
- 13:00Speaker 1: he brought it up to Saske, who coughed again. Looking
- 13:03Speaker 1: into his hands, Saske saw blood and began to panic.
- 13:06Speaker 1: It Tachi, blood, he said. Iachi stood up and looked
- 13:09Speaker 1: at Saske's hand. He didn't want to panic. Did you
- 13:12Speaker 1: cut yourself? He asked. Checking over the hand, he saw
- 13:15Speaker 1: no wounds. Saske coughed into his other hand, standing it
- 13:18Speaker 1: red as well. Iachi saw this and was stunned. It
- 13:21Speaker 1: was at about that time as Saske wheezed that he
- 13:24Speaker 1: fell to his knees and then against the tree. Saske
- 13:28Speaker 1: Iachi shouted as he knelt down beside his kid brother.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I Tachi, something's not right, he said, I'll get you help.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Just stay calm okay. Loading Saske up on his back,
- 13:37Speaker 1: he began to make his way back to their home.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Getting there, he called out Mom, Dad, he shouted. As
- 13:43Speaker 1: he entered the home. Makoto was the first one to
- 13:45Speaker 1: draw near, hearing her name called. Seeing Itachi carrying Saske,
- 13:49Speaker 1: she rushed over. Is Saske alright? She asked, I don't know,
- 13:52Speaker 1: something's wrong. She helped unload Saske. Onto the ground. Saske
- 13:56Speaker 1: was trembling from fear and from weakness. What happened to him?
- 14:00Speaker 1: At about that time, Fugaku came into the room. What happened?
- 14:04Speaker 1: He was just running around with me, playing tag, and
- 14:06Speaker 1: suddenly he stopped and started hacking up blood. Makoto checked
- 14:10Speaker 1: Saske's hands and saw the blood. The response in Makoto
- 14:13Speaker 1: is immediate, close to panic, but her Shanobi training kicks in.
- 14:17Speaker 1: He needs a doctor, she said, looking up at Fugaku.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Load him up, We'll go see one of the clan doctors.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Taking Saske, they brought him to one of the doctors
- 14:25Speaker 1: trusted by their family. Upon examination, they told them that
- 14:28Speaker 1: Saske's illness was, sadly, somewhat common in the Shanobi world.
- 14:32Speaker 1: What it was, what the cause was, and how to
- 14:34Speaker 1: fix it was still unknown to them. All they had
- 14:37Speaker 1: was a medication to help with the symptoms. The sad
- 14:40Speaker 1: news was that it was a deadly illness with no
- 14:43Speaker 1: survival rate. All they could do was keep him happy.
- 14:46Speaker 1: How much time does he have, Fugaku asked. The doctor shrugged.
- 14:49Speaker 1: This is an unusual illness. Its progression isn't measurable. The
- 14:53Speaker 1: same way as others. Its advancement can take years or
- 14:56Speaker 1: only weeks, and his end could either be something new
- 14:59Speaker 1: u coming, or it could be rather immediate and unexpected.
- 15:03Speaker 1: We simply don't know what this illness is or how
- 15:06Speaker 1: it works, just that it has these symptoms, and these
- 15:09Speaker 1: symptoms are what we can treat, the doctor said. I'm sorry.
- 15:13Speaker 1: The doctor's words stung. It hurt to think that it
- 15:16Speaker 1: was possible that they might lose Sask at any moment,
- 15:19Speaker 1: and so they just did what they could and took
- 15:21Speaker 1: him home to care for him. Just like the doctor said.
- 15:24Speaker 1: The disease progression was strange. He had high energy days
- 15:28Speaker 1: and low energy days. On some days he was up
- 15:31Speaker 1: out of bed, running around and playing like a nut job,
- 15:33Speaker 1: and the next he was bed ridden. It was the
- 15:36Speaker 1: saddest thing you could have ever seen, and he Tachi
- 15:38Speaker 1: was the one who was upset about it most. Maybe
- 15:41Speaker 1: we can take him to Conaha General. They might have
- 15:43Speaker 1: more they can do about it, He said, what's Conoha
- 15:46Speaker 1: gonna do? Look at him and tell us the same thing,
- 15:49Speaker 1: This is an unknown illness. The same place as our
- 15:52Speaker 1: doctors learned, are the same place as Knoha's doctors learned.
- 15:54Speaker 1: There would be no difference. Fugaku said, maybe they've made advancements,
- 15:58Speaker 1: maybe they have experiments. You don't know, Itachi said, I
- 16:02Speaker 1: do know, and you know what else I know. I
- 16:04Speaker 1: don't want to give them another thing to hold over me.
- 16:06Speaker 1: This isn't about you, dad, Iachi shouted, it's not. It's
- 16:10Speaker 1: about the family, and we're not the only members of it.
- 16:13Speaker 1: As they stood there, breathing intensely from their argument, they
- 16:16Speaker 1: both looked into each other's eyes. There was a mutual
- 16:19Speaker 1: understanding between them that neither could agree about. They were
- 16:22Speaker 1: really just scared for Saske. But in the end, there
- 16:25Speaker 1: were other differences between them that wouldn't allow either to
- 16:28Speaker 1: concede or agree with the other, and so as Fugaku
- 16:31Speaker 1: kept searching for his answers within the Uchihak clan, Iachi
- 16:34Speaker 1: went searching for his answers outside of it. Iachi would
- 16:38Speaker 1: spend his time off away from missions researching illnesses similar
- 16:41Speaker 1: to what Saske was displaying and searching for any information
- 16:45Speaker 1: on it from any of the village's medical records. All
- 16:47Speaker 1: mentioned the same unknown illness with a one hundred percent
- 16:51Speaker 1: mortality rate. Due to unidentifiability, Shisui would come up to
- 16:55Speaker 1: Iachi as he searched. Are you still searching? Shisui would ask,
- 16:59Speaker 1: Iachi would not. Are we gonna talk about the uchiha Chisu,
- 17:02Speaker 1: we asked? I Tanchi then spoke, I recently discovered that
- 17:06Speaker 1: the same disease saske has is what Mukai's son died of.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Shisuwi was silent for a moment. I am sorry about this,
- 17:12Speaker 1: I Tachi, but we need to consider what to do
- 17:14Speaker 1: about the klan and its dealings with the village. Things
- 17:16Speaker 1: are heading for a breaking point soon and we need
- 17:19Speaker 1: to be prepared, Shisui. I'm doing something important here, more
- 17:22Speaker 1: important than world's security. Shisa We asked. Ianchi couldn't respond.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Shisui let out a sigh. I'll just have to do
- 17:29Speaker 1: it myself. Then, I Tanchi would continue searching for answers,
- 17:32Speaker 1: but as he worked well into the night, he still
- 17:35Speaker 1: turned up nothing, and the searching was taking its toll
- 17:37Speaker 1: on him. Even though the mind wasn't a physical thing,
- 17:40Speaker 1: he felt it straining, as though two hands were on
- 17:42Speaker 1: either end, pulling it into a knee positioned in the center.
- 17:45Speaker 1: He felt his mind close to snapping. He was frustrated
- 17:49Speaker 1: to the point of lashing out. I give up, he said.
- 17:52Speaker 1: It really is hopeless. There's no cure. Are you really
- 17:55Speaker 1: so sure about that? Another voice said from behind. Ianchi
- 17:59Speaker 1: turned around to look. Who's there? He called out, Then,
- 18:02Speaker 1: as if a being made of the shadows itself, emerged
- 18:04Speaker 1: from the darkness, the familiar and somewhat unwelcomed face of
- 18:08Speaker 1: Donzo Shimura appeared. Don't you think you're giving up too soon?
- 18:12Speaker 1: He asked. Itachi, not in the mood for these games,
- 18:15Speaker 1: sat back down in the chair. I'm not giving up.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I'm still looking, he said. Donzo let out a sigh.
- 18:20Speaker 1: If only you weren't wasting your time looking in the
- 18:23Speaker 1: wrong places, Iachi looked back, confusedly. Explain, Donzo spoke, the
- 18:28Speaker 1: cure to the disease you seek does in fact exist. However,
- 18:32Speaker 1: you won't find it on any database you search. Its
- 18:35Speaker 1: existence is a secret held only by a select few,
- 18:38Speaker 1: and you're one of them, Itachi asked, with skepticism tinging
- 18:42Speaker 1: his voice. Perhaps, and maybe I'm willing to share it.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Iachi just stared on as Donzo spoke, the cure you
- 18:49Speaker 1: search for exists, and root possesses it. The cured Desauske's illness,
- 18:54Speaker 1: and I will give it to you, But there's a catch.
- 18:56Speaker 1: A catch, Itachi asked. Donzo nodded. In this world exist
- 19:01Speaker 1: without a price. What do you want, Iachi asked. Donzo
- 19:05Speaker 1: then held up a hand with two fingers stretched out
- 19:07Speaker 1: toward the ceiling. First, I want you to retrieve from
- 19:10Speaker 1: me the Mungyakyo Sharringhan of Shisui Uchiha and end his life.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Itachi was mortified. Shisui was like a brother to him.
- 19:18Speaker 1: How could he be asked to do these things? Why?
- 19:21Speaker 1: Iachi asked, The level of power that exists within those
- 19:25Speaker 1: eyes are too dangerous for an Uchiha to control. He
- 19:28Speaker 1: could easily turn against us and misuse his Mongyakyo Sharanghan
- 19:32Speaker 1: for his own gain. Shisui wouldn't do such a thing,
- 19:34Speaker 1: it Tachi said, you think not. Donzo said, Mukai wouldn't
- 19:38Speaker 1: have done it, either, would he. Iachi was caught off
- 19:41Speaker 1: guard by the mentioning of Mukai. Donzo then spoke his
- 19:44Speaker 1: second condition, the eradication of the Uchiha clan. Kill them all,
- 19:49Speaker 1: he said. Iachi almost felt as though he were punched
- 19:52Speaker 1: in the gut. What you can't ask me to do that?
- 19:54Speaker 1: He shouted, Donzo sighed, listen it, Tachi. We all know
- 19:59Speaker 1: the uchi Ha a planning and uprising, and there's nothing
- 20:02Speaker 1: that can stop it. This plan with shisuiz Mongekyo to
- 20:05Speaker 1: convince them not to It's a temporary fix, a band aid.
- 20:09Speaker 1: It will only take one off color word, one phrase
- 20:12Speaker 1: to tell them that they're being controlled, to break them
- 20:15Speaker 1: free and make the situation even worse. As Iachi sat
- 20:18Speaker 1: there listening, Donzo continued, If the Uchiha rise up, it
- 20:22Speaker 1: will weaken Konoha. You remember the mission we sent you
- 20:26Speaker 1: in Mukai's timon Dsuna to spy on the sand and
- 20:29Speaker 1: the Mist's alliance. If the Uchiha rise against us, the
- 20:33Speaker 1: next world war will start. And you know this. The
- 20:35Speaker 1: only option is to cut out the sickness before it festers.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Itachi sat there, rubbing his face, conflicted. Donzo stepped closer.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Take my suggestion or not. What will happen is going
- 20:47Speaker 1: to happen whether you do it or not. However, if
- 20:50Speaker 1: you get me that sharing ghan and you manage to
- 20:53Speaker 1: eliminate the entire Uchiha clan, not only will you survive,
- 20:57Speaker 1: but I will see to it that your brother receives
- 20:59Speaker 1: adequate and the cure to his illness. All you have
- 21:02Speaker 1: to do is make that decision. Donzo began to disappear,
- 21:06Speaker 1: back into the shadows from which he came. We can
- 21:09Speaker 1: do this my way or your way. The choice is yours,
- 21:13Speaker 1: and with that, Donzo was gone. As Iachi went home,
- 21:16Speaker 1: he went to bed, getting back when everyone was asleep,
- 21:19Speaker 1: Itachi laid down in his bed to rest and began
- 21:21Speaker 1: to think about these things. He thought about the Uchiha clan,
- 21:25Speaker 1: about Shisui, and about the world as a whole. Could
- 21:28Speaker 1: their plan work or would it be too easy for
- 21:30Speaker 1: it all to fall apart. Itachi went over he and
- 21:33Speaker 1: Shisuwe's plan in his head, as well as what the
- 21:36Speaker 1: kodo Amatsukami was. It wasn't a strong ganjutsu. It was subtle.
- 21:41Speaker 1: It didn't blind people the truth. It merely convinced them
- 21:43Speaker 1: to change their perspective. Theoretically, if they ever found out
- 21:47Speaker 1: that they had been influenced by it, it was possible
- 21:49Speaker 1: that they would turn back further. And if the Uchiha
- 21:52Speaker 1: ever did rise up after that, the entire world would
- 21:55Speaker 1: take notice and act upon it, pouncing on Konaha while
- 21:59Speaker 1: it was at its weakest. That was just the simple
- 22:01Speaker 1: truth of the matter. I Tachi sat there and thought
- 22:04Speaker 1: about it. His eyes were stuck on the ceiling of
- 22:06Speaker 1: his room. The clock said it was three am. His
- 22:09Speaker 1: rest would be nothing more than a light sleep, it seemed,
- 22:12Speaker 1: that was, if he could get to sleep at all.
- 22:14Speaker 1: As he laid there attempting to sleep, he heard the
- 22:16Speaker 1: distant sound of coughing. Getting up out of bed, he
- 22:19Speaker 1: walked to a room with a closed door and listened
- 22:22Speaker 1: in to hear more coughing. Drawing closer to the bed,
- 22:24Speaker 1: I Tachi knelt down beside it and pushed Saske's hair
- 22:27Speaker 1: out of his face. You okay, he asked. Saske nodded.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Just a coughing fit, no bleeding right. Saske showed a
- 22:34Speaker 1: handkerchief he kept with him for just such fits. There
- 22:37Speaker 1: was a touch of blood on it, but nothing too
- 22:39Speaker 1: bad it. Tachi could see Saske's entire torso clinching every
- 22:43Speaker 1: so often, trying to choke the cough. My throat hurts,
- 22:46Speaker 1: and so does my chest. The more I cough, the
- 22:48Speaker 1: more I bleed. If I stop coughing, maybe I'll stop
- 22:51Speaker 1: bleeding and hurting. It's just it's hard to do, he said,
- 22:55Speaker 1: I Tachi nodded his head. You're a real trooper, you
- 22:58Speaker 1: know that. Saske nodded slowly. I wish I wasn't sick.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I want to go back to the academy. I Tachi
- 23:04Speaker 1: sat there silently. I know, he said. A tear ran
- 23:07Speaker 1: down Saske's cheek. I don't want to die. I Tanchi's
- 23:11Speaker 1: heart shattered. He spent the rest of that night with Saske,
- 23:14Speaker 1: keeping his little brother company and helping him try to
- 23:17Speaker 1: get back to sleep with his own rhythmic breathing. The
- 23:19Speaker 1: next day, Shisui got a call from Itachi. Something urgent
- 23:23Speaker 1: came up. I need to meet you at the usual spot,
- 23:25Speaker 1: he said. Shisui was concerned what could have happened that
- 23:28Speaker 1: would require an emergency meeting between the two. Getting his things,
- 23:32Speaker 1: he made his way to the Knakar River, where he
- 23:33Speaker 1: found Iachi sitting on a stump, disheveled, tired and strained.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Are you okay? He asked. I Tachi shook his head, No,
- 23:41Speaker 1: I'm not. Is it Saskehisui asked, is he okay? Ianchi
- 23:46Speaker 1: looked back at Chisui, exposing the tear stains on his face.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I Tanchi turned his gaze back to the river. You know,
- 23:52Speaker 1: the words Muki said to us that day always stuck
- 23:54Speaker 1: with me. But I never thought I could ever understand
- 23:57Speaker 1: why he did what he did, But now I think
- 23:59Speaker 1: I do Itachi said, I know why he did what
- 24:03Speaker 1: he did, the desperation, the need for a way out
- 24:06Speaker 1: that nobody can provide save the enemy. Enemy. Shisui asked,
- 24:10Speaker 1: I Tachi, what are you doing? I Tachi stood up.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Root has resources, a lot of resources, information that doesn't
- 24:19Speaker 1: exist anywhere else for the public. I couldn't say no.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I simply can't refuse. It was an offer. I didn't
- 24:26Speaker 1: have the chance to refuse. You can't you can't ask
- 24:29Speaker 1: me not to. Shisui stood silently. What did Donzo ask
- 24:33Speaker 1: you for? I Tanchi then spoke three things. You're sharing Gohan,
- 24:38Speaker 1: your life, and the extermination of our clan, and you
- 24:41Speaker 1: made the decision to give him what he asked for.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I Tachi stood silently for a moment. I'm sorry, Shisui.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Shisui shook his head, no, I'm sorry. Suddenly, Shisui pulled
- 24:52Speaker 1: out his tonto and turned to block the blade of Ianchi, who,
- 24:55Speaker 1: having come up behind him, struck the clone Shisui had
- 24:58Speaker 1: been talking to manifested its blade and ran at him,
- 25:01Speaker 1: only to receive a kick in the sternum enough to
- 25:03Speaker 1: break bone and cause the clone to disappear. Iachi jumped
- 25:06Speaker 1: back and performed great fireball jutsu, only to have that
- 25:10Speaker 1: matched by one of Shisuwi's great fireball jutsu. Shisu We
- 25:13Speaker 1: activated his mongekyo sharinghan. As the two stepped back, shisu
- 25:17Speaker 1: We spoke, I'm sorry, Itachi, sorry for what you haven't
- 25:21Speaker 1: done anything. No, I'm sorry that grief and insanity have
- 25:24Speaker 1: taken you. I truly thought of you like a brother,
- 25:27Speaker 1: but I see that our bond simply wasn't strong enough.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Tears began to run down i Tachi's face. I never
- 25:32Speaker 1: wanted this to be like this, but but Donzo made
- 25:35Speaker 1: you choose, and you chose Saske over everything else. If
- 25:39Speaker 1: you think I'm mad at you, I'm not. I'm just
- 25:41Speaker 1: disappointed that our relationship has come to this. I'm now
- 25:44Speaker 1: forced to do the one thing you weren't strong enough
- 25:46Speaker 1: to do, sacrifice my brother for the greater good. Once more,
- 25:49Speaker 1: they went at each other, their blades striking and bouncing.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Shisui was no longer playing around Itachi had made his choice,
- 25:56Speaker 1: and he was going to make his own. At about
- 25:58Speaker 1: this time, a large green Susano forms and strikes down
- 26:02Speaker 1: at I Tachi, who catches the blade. With this Tanto,
- 26:04Speaker 1: growling and screaming. Just to keep the blade up, Iachi
- 26:07Speaker 1: summoned his will. The thought of what he would lose,
- 26:10Speaker 1: the thought of what he would gain, the thought that
- 26:12Speaker 1: there was no right choice and either way he'd be
- 26:15Speaker 1: forced to sacrifice all of it, along with the current stress,
- 26:18Speaker 1: overloaded him emotionally, and in that moment, in response to
- 26:22Speaker 1: his anger and hatred of the fact that he couldn't
- 26:25Speaker 1: just have everything go back to the way at once was,
- 26:27Speaker 1: saw Itachi's own sharing gun evolve into a mongekio. With them,
- 26:32Speaker 1: he summoned his own crimson Susano and began to swing
- 26:35Speaker 1: its blade. The power of Itachi Susano was something unusual,
- 26:40Speaker 1: and perhaps it was brought on by pure hysterical strength,
- 26:42Speaker 1: but he broke through the defenses of the Susano, and
- 26:45Speaker 1: the moment their eyes made contact, the entire world for
- 26:48Speaker 1: Shisui began to fall away. He looked around in horror
- 26:52Speaker 1: at what he was seeing. As I Tachi drew closer
- 26:54Speaker 1: unable to be damaged by any attack. His hand reaching forward,
- 26:58Speaker 1: he pressed his fingers against the bocket of Shisui's eye
- 27:01Speaker 1: and began to push Shisuei let out a cry as
- 27:04Speaker 1: his eye was pulled from its socket. A moment later,
- 27:07Speaker 1: the second was taken blinded. He screamed, Itachi, we didn't
- 27:11Speaker 1: have to do this if you would come to me.
- 27:13Speaker 1: If I had come to you, Itachi said, I would
- 27:16Speaker 1: have lost everything, and with that he drove his blade
- 27:19Speaker 1: into Shisui's chest, piercing his heart. As Shisui bled out
- 27:23Speaker 1: and perished, Iachi grabbed the body and dragged to the
- 27:26Speaker 1: edge of the cliff, dropping it into the river. The
- 27:28Speaker 1: body fell and splashed against the water, and as it did,
- 27:32Speaker 1: Iachi finally permitted himself to cry, letting out a cry
- 27:35Speaker 1: so loud that the birds fled from the nearby forest.
- 27:38Speaker 1: He wailed as though he had just been forced to
- 27:41Speaker 1: cut off his own leg. Itachi would have preferred that
- 27:44Speaker 1: over this. Looking at the two Crimson orbs in his hand,
- 27:47Speaker 1: he knew he had exactly what Donzo desired. Taking them
- 27:50Speaker 1: to Donzo, the man looked them over. I'm glad you
- 27:53Speaker 1: came to your senses Iachi, he said, looking at the
- 27:56Speaker 1: boy now dead behind the eyes. Now there is only
- 27:59Speaker 1: one more thing to do, eliminate the Uchiha clan, and
- 28:02Speaker 1: I will heal your brother. The question for Itachi was
- 28:06Speaker 1: how he was going to be able to do this.
- 28:08Speaker 1: There was no way that he alone could destroy all
- 28:11Speaker 1: of the Uchiha, and so he requisitioned some help from
- 28:14Speaker 1: another who would approach him in his time of need. Together,
- 28:18Speaker 1: together with this person, Iachi would begin to destroy the
- 28:21Speaker 1: Uchiha clan. The last house Iachi visited was his own. Entering,
- 28:26Speaker 1: he found his parents and eliminated them. The pain in
- 28:29Speaker 1: him was so great that it dulled his comprehension. Dropping
- 28:32Speaker 1: his blade, he stepped out and took a deep and
- 28:34Speaker 1: shaky breath. Going upstairs, he stopped for a quick shower
- 28:37Speaker 1: before changing into something new. Entering Saske's room, he found
- 28:41Speaker 1: his little brother sleeping. Grabbing a blanket, he scooped the
- 28:44Speaker 1: boy up in his arms and wrapped him. Saske awakened
- 28:47Speaker 1: for only a moment to let out a cough before
- 28:49Speaker 1: going back to sleep. With the deed done it, Tachi
- 28:52Speaker 1: sought out Donzo, but all he found were root ninja
- 28:55Speaker 1: intent to kill him. I Tachi's whole world shattered in
- 28:58Speaker 1: that moment. He knew he lied to me. There never
- 29:02Speaker 1: was a cure. He made me kill the Uchiha, kill
- 29:04Speaker 1: my best friend, and then threw me away, his rage
- 29:07Speaker 1: building up, yet all the same he had nowhere to
- 29:10Speaker 1: put it. Running from root Shnobi, Iachi was about to die,
- 29:13Speaker 1: and his little brother was about to be killed with him.
- 29:16Speaker 1: I was a fool, Iachi said. Unbeknownst to him, his
- 29:19Speaker 1: masked partner was watching this unfold, and a part of
- 29:22Speaker 1: him was moved in compassion. He did promise to join
- 29:25Speaker 1: the Yakatski, he said to himself, he can't do that
- 29:28Speaker 1: if he's dead, and so Obito rushed over, killing me,
- 29:31Speaker 1: pursuing anbou, and then went to Ianchi, where he proceeded
- 29:33Speaker 1: to use his kamowe to teleport them out. They took
- 29:36Speaker 1: a boat to the location of the Yakatski base, and
- 29:39Speaker 1: during the ride, Iachi held his sleeping brother in his arms.
- 29:42Speaker 1: I was a fool for trusting Donzo. Oh you don't say,
- 29:45Speaker 1: the masked man said. I thought he really had it.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I was wrong, and now not only is every other
- 29:51Speaker 1: member of my family but Saske dead, but so too
- 29:54Speaker 1: is my best friend, and all of that for some
- 29:57Speaker 1: cure to my brother's illness that doesn't exist the mass.
- 30:00Speaker 1: This man was silent for a moment. Your brother may
- 30:02Speaker 1: yet have a chance, i Tachi looked back. Obito continued.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Among our ranks is a brilliant scientist named Orochimaru. He
- 30:10Speaker 1: may be able to find the answers you seek, but
- 30:13Speaker 1: be aware he rarely works for free. He may attempt
- 30:16Speaker 1: to impose a cost upon you that you're unwilling to pay.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I've already paid a price i'd normally be unwilling to pay.
- 30:23Speaker 1: I just want my brother to get better, Iachi said.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Then I'll introduce you to him, but don't say I
- 30:28Speaker 1: didn't warn you. In the halls of the Yakatski's secret base,
- 30:34Speaker 1: a meeting was called to officially initiate Iachi into the
- 30:38Speaker 1: ranks of the Yakatski. You know we do not often
- 30:41Speaker 1: make allowances for children as well, Payne said, as he
- 30:45Speaker 1: looked on at i Tachi. My little brother's all I
- 30:47Speaker 1: have left. You can't make me let him go. It
- 30:50Speaker 1: seems nobody'll be forced to. Looks like your little brother
- 30:53Speaker 1: will go all of his own accord. Joos O Biwa said,
- 30:55Speaker 1: looking at Iachi with the smile of a shark. I.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Tachi's eyes cut into jew uzzoh like fire, and by
- 31:01Speaker 1: the looks of the mongekio that had activated, Itachi was
- 31:04Speaker 1: seriously debating, turning that figurative language literal enough. Paine said,
- 31:09Speaker 1: because you are a strange circumstance, we have made the
- 31:12Speaker 1: executive decision to admit your brother too. He will be
- 31:16Speaker 1: protected so long as you do your work. But we
- 31:19Speaker 1: do expect you to work. We have no use for
- 31:22Speaker 1: a dead beach Shinobi, Pain said, bring him his cloak.
- 31:26Speaker 1: From there, One of the Yokotski's members drew closer, a
- 31:29Speaker 1: cloak in hand, he passed it to Itachi as Iachi
- 31:32Speaker 1: put a mark through the headband that bore the leaf symbol,
- 31:35Speaker 1: putting the cloak on and restoring his headband to his head.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Pain welcomed Itachi to their ranks and explained that he
- 31:42Speaker 1: was to be partnered with Juso. I don't think that's
- 31:45Speaker 1: such a good idea, boss, I don't think the kid
- 31:48Speaker 1: likes me. Pain looked back, his legendary eyes cutting into
- 31:51Speaker 1: Juso and Itachi. Both what he likes and what you
- 31:55Speaker 1: like are irrelevant. Perhaps the anger you have towards one
- 31:58Speaker 1: another may be put to more construction. Use you are dismissed,
- 32:02Speaker 1: Juso nodded, surrendering to Paine's decision. Iachi would later leave
- 32:06Speaker 1: the room and make his way to the room he'd
- 32:08Speaker 1: been allotted within. He found Saske laying on the bed.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Big brother, where are we? What's going on? Itachi sat
- 32:16Speaker 1: by the bedside with him and gently placed his hand
- 32:18Speaker 1: upon Saske's head. It's okay, You're safe, Itachi said. Where's
- 32:22Speaker 1: Mama and Papa? He asked. Itachi didn't have it in
- 32:25Speaker 1: his heart to tell Saske what he had done or why.
- 32:29Speaker 1: He simply spoke, don't worry, you'll see them again one day.
- 32:33Speaker 1: And this was true. Saske would see them again one day,
- 32:37Speaker 1: but hopefully not for a very long time. At about
- 32:40Speaker 1: this moment, a pale skinned snake wandered into their room,
- 32:44Speaker 1: leaning against the door. A little bertie told me you
- 32:48Speaker 1: were looking for me, he said with a sly smile,
- 32:51Speaker 1: his piercing eye narrowing to enjoy the moment of desperation.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Iachi looked back a Rochi Maru. The man nodded, that
- 32:59Speaker 1: is in my name. Try not to overuse it, I
- 33:03Speaker 1: Tachi thought for a moment. May we speak outside, he asked.
- 33:07Speaker 1: A Rochi Maru nodded, Come, let us work out the
- 33:11Speaker 1: details of our arrangement. Iachi stepped outside and closed the door.
- 33:16Speaker 1: I need you to do me a favor, I Tachi said.
- 33:18Speaker 1: You should know I don't do favors. If you want
- 33:22Speaker 1: something from me, you must pay for it. Itachi looked
- 33:25Speaker 1: down for a moment and then back up again. Fair,
- 33:28Speaker 1: what I want from you is to find the cure
- 33:30Speaker 1: Desaske's illness, and in exchange, whatever excess funds I attain
- 33:35Speaker 1: from work that do not go predominantly to keeping myself
- 33:38Speaker 1: and my brother alive will be yours, I Tachi said.
- 33:41Speaker 1: A Rochi Maru laughed as though this were the most
- 33:44Speaker 1: ridiculous thing he'd ever heard. You think money is going
- 33:48Speaker 1: to be enough to get my help, A rochi Maru asked.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Itachi stared at a rochi Maru for a moment. Then
- 33:53Speaker 1: what A rochi Maru then spoke, I propose a trade,
- 33:58Speaker 1: a life for a life. Who do you want me
- 34:00Speaker 1: to kill? Iachi asked, you misunderstand it, Tachi, I'm not
- 34:05Speaker 1: asking for you to kill anyone. What I'm saying is
- 34:09Speaker 1: I want your body. I'm straight, Itachi said. A Rochi
- 34:13Speaker 1: Maru laughed again. Was that a joke or do you
- 34:16Speaker 1: truly not understand what I mean? Itachi was silent. Arochi
- 34:21Speaker 1: Maru continued, I possess ninjutsu that allows me to jump
- 34:25Speaker 1: from one body to another. Through doing so, I gain
- 34:29Speaker 1: all of the abilities of those I transfer to you.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Will sacrifice your life and give me your body to
- 34:36Speaker 1: use as a vessel, and in exchange, I will heal Saske.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Itachi let out an exasperated sigh. Could this man be serious?
- 34:46Speaker 1: Is this truly the only thing you'll help Saske in
- 34:48Speaker 1: exchange for, Iachi asked. A Rochi Maru nodded. I want
- 34:52Speaker 1: this from you, and this alone. Iachi let out a sigh. Fine,
- 34:58Speaker 1: I'll give it to you, but only after you heal Saske.
- 35:01Speaker 1: A Rochi Maru smiled. Then we have a deal, but
- 35:04Speaker 1: I will need a little insurance. A Rochi Maru said,
- 35:09Speaker 1: lower your collar, show me your neck. A moment later,
- 35:12Speaker 1: a Rochi Maru bit him. In doing so, he gave
- 35:15Speaker 1: him a cursemark. This cursemark was a jumble of the
- 35:19Speaker 1: DNA of many people, including Jugo, but further, it contained
- 35:22Speaker 1: of Rochi Maru's own DNA which would aid in the transference.
- 35:26Speaker 1: After the successful medical trials, Itanchi gripped at his neck
- 35:30Speaker 1: and felt his body spasming. What did you do? I
- 35:33Speaker 1: branded you with my cursemark. When the end of the
- 35:36Speaker 1: bargain is completed, you will complete your end of it
- 35:39Speaker 1: as well. Now I recommend you go to rest while
- 35:43Speaker 1: your body makes the decision if it's even compatible or not.
- 35:46Speaker 1: A Rochi Maru walked away. It Tanchi's body would accept
- 35:50Speaker 1: the cursemark and further would augment him with more powers,
- 35:54Speaker 1: a scary amount of power, honestly, so much so that
- 35:57Speaker 1: he tended to hide it from others, as he knew
- 35:59Speaker 1: that that if it came out, how truly strong he was,
- 36:02Speaker 1: now that his full potential was awakened by this curse mark,
- 36:05Speaker 1: that even pain would be below him, they would try
- 36:08Speaker 1: to kill him. From here, he tended to do his
- 36:10Speaker 1: work with quiet contentment, not making a fuss, and giving
- 36:14Speaker 1: his proper tribute to the Yakatsky as a whole, helping
- 36:17Speaker 1: support the group. Arriving back one day, he would find
- 36:20Speaker 1: that they'd moved Saske to one of Aurochi Maru's laboratories,
- 36:23Speaker 1: and with the blessing of pain, Iachi moved out to
- 36:26Speaker 1: that location to be with his brother. It was a
- 36:28Speaker 1: lot roomier than the busted out old cave that was
- 36:31Speaker 1: the Aukotsky's current base of operations, and Iachi began to
- 36:34Speaker 1: wonder why the Yakatski didn't just move in with Arochi Maru.
- 36:37Speaker 1: But he supposed that there were many reasons why that
- 36:40Speaker 1: was a bad idea. In fact, Iachi felt like it
- 36:43Speaker 1: was a bad idea for he himself to be living here,
- 36:46Speaker 1: but he didn't say anything. Instead, he focused on Saske.
- 36:50Speaker 1: He found Saske in a bed laying flat, hooked up
- 36:53Speaker 1: to various machines. He didn't seem too happy, He seemed weak.
- 36:58Speaker 1: What are you doing to him? Iachi asked, the old
- 37:00Speaker 1: snake doctor things. What else I need more than that,
- 37:04Speaker 1: I Tachi said, getting defensive. Arochi Maru scoffed, and I
- 37:08Speaker 1: told you exactly what I'm doing. Your brother is sick,
- 37:12Speaker 1: and I am a scientist searching for a cure. Battling
- 37:15Speaker 1: disease is hard, and it requires things that oftentimes are unpleasant,
- 37:20Speaker 1: such as what I am soon to do, but as
- 37:23Speaker 1: a doctor, I must do them, and as the relative
- 37:26Speaker 1: of the patient, your job is to keep your nose clear.
- 37:29Speaker 1: I can't work if you won't let me, and if
- 37:32Speaker 1: you won't let me, then your brother dies and his
- 37:34Speaker 1: blood will be on your hands. I Tachi hated this response,
- 37:39Speaker 1: hated even more that he was right. They were both
- 37:42Speaker 1: at Arochi Maru's mercy. Can you at least tell me
- 37:45Speaker 1: what you're doing next, only if you promise to trust
- 37:48Speaker 1: my judgment, A Rochi Maru said, Iachi nodded, I do
- 37:53Speaker 1: A rochi Maru then pulled around and displayed a long,
- 37:56Speaker 1: thin cable. What is that. It's a camera. I plan
- 38:00Speaker 1: to put this down your brother's throat and into his
- 38:02Speaker 1: lungs so that I can actually see what's going on
- 38:05Speaker 1: in there. Exploratory surgery. Very little is known about this disease,
- 38:10Speaker 1: and the only way for me to cure it is
- 38:12Speaker 1: to do the one thing that nobody has ever done,
- 38:15Speaker 1: and that is to discover the true nature of the illness.
- 38:19Speaker 1: You never know, Itachi. It's highly possible that this might
- 38:22Speaker 1: even produce the cure for other kids in such states.
- 38:25Speaker 1: He said, imagine that winning a peace prize while existing
- 38:29Speaker 1: in a war mongering terrorist organization. Only I could be
- 38:33Speaker 1: capable of such a thing, if you say so, Itachi retorted,
- 38:37Speaker 1: I do say so, Orochimru said, turning to face Saske.
- 38:41Speaker 1: First things first, though, he said, I need to put
- 38:44Speaker 1: your brother to sleep. He pulled a mask out. This
- 38:47Speaker 1: mask would fill Saske's lungs with a powerful anesthetic. Eventually
- 38:51Speaker 1: Saske would be out like a light. As he laid there,
- 38:54Speaker 1: Arochimru proceeded to replace the breathing mask with a more
- 38:57Speaker 1: invasive tube, feeding the gas directly into his lungs. Once
- 39:02Speaker 1: that was done, he proceeded to slide the camera down
- 39:04Speaker 1: Saske's throat, keeping his eyes on the monitor showing the
- 39:07Speaker 1: feed it. Tachi watched as well. The camera made its
- 39:11Speaker 1: way through the trachea leading to the lungs, running parallel
- 39:14Speaker 1: to the tube pumping anesthetics. In reaching the bronchye, he
- 39:17Speaker 1: slid it through. Already there are abnormal signs, a Roachi
- 39:20Speaker 1: Maru said, making his way deeper, he kept an eye open.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Looking through, he noted that there were signs of fibrosis,
- 39:27Speaker 1: a build up of fibrous tissue. Further, there seemed to
- 39:30Speaker 1: be signs and symptoms of bleeding in the alveoli. But
- 39:33Speaker 1: why there's a lot of inflammation, A Roachi Maru said,
- 39:37Speaker 1: this is interesting. Do you understand what it is? It?
- 39:41Speaker 1: Tachi asked. A. Rochi Maru shook his head. I've been
- 39:44Speaker 1: studying other forms of similar illness, but nobody has a
- 39:48Speaker 1: clue what it could be. I do have a theory, though,
- 39:51Speaker 1: but to prove it, I'm going to need to perform
- 39:53Speaker 1: a biopsy. Itachi seemed nervous. How will you perform it?
- 39:58Speaker 1: Do you know what vats is is? He asked it.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Tachi shook his head. It's a newer style. It's called
- 40:05Speaker 1: video assisted thoroscopic surgery. It's minimally invasive compared to other methods,
- 40:10Speaker 1: and will require me to cut into the lung from
- 40:12Speaker 1: the outside. It shouldn't cause too much pain for your brother,
- 40:16Speaker 1: and it will allow me to get a big enough
- 40:18Speaker 1: sample to determine if my theory is correct. Or Rochi
- 40:21Speaker 1: Maru said, but for that, I will need some time.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Why don't you go see if there are any missions
- 40:26Speaker 1: for you from Lord pain. If there are, perhaps take
- 40:29Speaker 1: care of those first and return to me later. I
- 40:32Speaker 1: may have answers at that time. You expect me to
- 40:35Speaker 1: leave my brother alone while you potentially butcher him, Iachi asked,
- 40:39Speaker 1: his voice rising a bit past comfort levels. You promise
- 40:42Speaker 1: to trust my judgment or are you in the business
- 40:46Speaker 1: of not making good on your agreements? Itachi let out
- 40:49Speaker 1: a sigh. Fine, good, now leave me. I plan to
- 40:53Speaker 1: work in ways that will make even soon. Not a
- 40:56Speaker 1: jealous Itachi found himself on the road with Juso Bioa.
- 41:00Speaker 1: All the while he thought about Arochi Maru and Saske.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Itachi wasn't stupid. Perhaps this wasn't the best practice, but
- 41:07Speaker 1: he had been taught something by someone else. You couldn't
- 41:10Speaker 1: always trust the people you made deals with, and a
- 41:13Speaker 1: Rochi Maru wasn't trustworthy. But then again, Itachi wasn't trustworthy either.
- 41:18Speaker 1: You'd be crazy if you thought Itachi was just going
- 41:20Speaker 1: to give a Rochi Maru his body. A Rochi Maru
- 41:23Speaker 1: was probably planning to take it, perhaps certain that there
- 41:27Speaker 1: was no way for Iachi to get out of it,
- 41:29Speaker 1: but Iachi would find a way. Even if a Rochi
- 41:32Speaker 1: Maru didn't double cross him, Itachi would be sure to
- 41:35Speaker 1: double cross a rochi maru because the cost he was
- 41:37Speaker 1: asking was just too steep and frankly stupid. A rochi
- 41:42Speaker 1: maru had been a thorn in Konoha's side for years,
- 41:45Speaker 1: and had even while younger, been a thorn in Itachi's side.
- 41:49Speaker 1: He wouldn't mind putting him down, and as he walked
- 41:52Speaker 1: with Juuso, he thought about it. I'll need to put
- 41:54Speaker 1: them all down, Iachi thought. He hated what he had
- 41:57Speaker 1: to do for his clan and what Donzo made him do,
- 42:01Speaker 1: but he did understand the needfulness of it. If the
- 42:04Speaker 1: Uchiha clan had caused an uprising, there would have been
- 42:07Speaker 1: a world war, and if this group continued to function,
- 42:10Speaker 1: there would once again be a world war. They were
- 42:13Speaker 1: a dangerous group of shanobi and mercenaries whose only goal
- 42:17Speaker 1: was to create a war so terrifying that nobody would
- 42:21Speaker 1: ever want to fight again. The extremes of these people
- 42:24Speaker 1: made the word extremist cult seem like an understatement, and
- 42:28Speaker 1: to his eyes, it seemed that while they did seek
- 42:31Speaker 1: peace in a way that is at least some way
- 42:34Speaker 1: construably admirable, it was also true that they were batcrab
- 42:38Speaker 1: crazy and were planning to kill millions, just to make
- 42:41Speaker 1: a point that Itachi was certain would not hold any effect.
- 42:45Speaker 1: He knew what hatred and pain did. Look at the
- 42:48Speaker 1: history of the Uchiha clan. They fought for a thousand
- 42:51Speaker 1: years with the Senju, enduring pain and hardship, death and ruination,
- 42:56Speaker 1: all without even remembering why, and they still fought on.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Pain wasn't the end of something in the beginning of
- 43:03Speaker 1: something else. It was an endless cycle that kept recirculating
- 43:07Speaker 1: over and over and over again. It was insane, and
- 43:12Speaker 1: they had to be stopped before they killed so many
- 43:14Speaker 1: people for nothing. This mission was one that was easy
- 43:18Speaker 1: for them, a mere assassination. On a road. There was
- 43:21Speaker 1: a small group of people protecting a palanquin with a
- 43:24Speaker 1: dignitary that they'd been hired to get rid of. Frankly,
- 43:27Speaker 1: it was an easy mission. Itachi didn't even have to
- 43:30Speaker 1: exert himself. He just dealt with the guards as Juso
- 43:33Speaker 1: did the deed by himself. Collecting the money. They returned
- 43:36Speaker 1: to headquarters, where they delivered the funds to Pain who
- 43:39Speaker 1: had it counted and then gave a fair cut to
- 43:41Speaker 1: each of them. From there, it Tachi made his way
- 43:44Speaker 1: back to Arochi Maru who had news. What did you find,
- 43:47Speaker 1: he asked, Arochi Maru looked up from his work. I
- 43:50Speaker 1: discovered the secret to your brother's illness, just as I suspected.
- 43:55Speaker 1: He had a high level of various antibodies and the
- 43:58Speaker 1: tissues within his lungs. And what does that mean, Ittachi asked.
- 44:02Speaker 1: It means that his body is releasing antibodies to kill
- 44:05Speaker 1: a disease that doesn't exist. I don't understand. My brother
- 44:09Speaker 1: is obviously sick. How can you say his disease doesn't exist.
- 44:13Speaker 1: I'm not saying your brother isn't ill. I'm saying he
- 44:16Speaker 1: isn't sick. Let me rephrase. Your brother's immune system is
- 44:21Speaker 1: detecting something in the body that it has determined needs
- 44:24Speaker 1: to be attacked. And that thing it's discovered is a
- 44:28Speaker 1: natural organ, his lungs. It's treating your brother's lungs like
- 44:32Speaker 1: a foreign body, attempting in some ways, to kill it.
- 44:35Speaker 1: This is causing inflammation, scarring, and the hemorrhaging of these
- 44:39Speaker 1: small blood vessels within. It's treating your brother's lungs like
- 44:43Speaker 1: they're infected when they're not. In other words, it's what
- 44:47Speaker 1: I would consider an autoimmune disorder. His immune system is
- 44:51Speaker 1: basically at fault, so how do we help him? Itachi asked,
- 44:54Speaker 1: A Rochi Maru thought about it. Well, your brother's illness
- 44:58Speaker 1: should be theoretically sol with some cordico steroids to reduce inflammation,
- 45:03Speaker 1: as well as immunosuppressants to suppress his immune system to
- 45:07Speaker 1: help control it. Won't that make him sick? Itachi asked.
- 45:11Speaker 1: There is risk when going on immunosuppressants. He may find
- 45:15Speaker 1: himself getting sicker easier, and may stay sicker longer with
- 45:19Speaker 1: worse symptoms. However, such a thing isn't an automatic death sentence.
- 45:24Speaker 1: We're not eradicating his immune system, just telling it to say,
- 45:28Speaker 1: take a chill pill. Itachi nodded in understanding. Arochi Maru continued,
- 45:33Speaker 1: once his immune system is weakened, I'll be sure to
- 45:37Speaker 1: keep him on some antibiotics for certain infections. I'd suggest
- 45:40Speaker 1: having him eat nutrient rich foods, as well as insure
- 45:44Speaker 1: proper hygiene and crowd control. Doing this should lower the
- 45:47Speaker 1: risk of complications. For about three to six months, We'll
- 45:51Speaker 1: keep him on these steroids and the like, and then
- 45:53Speaker 1: after that we'll begin weaning him off for a year
- 45:56Speaker 1: or two, keeping track of how well, his body's responding.
- 45:59Speaker 1: We caught it early, and he is very young, so
- 46:02Speaker 1: he should be able to bounce back Eventually. He may
- 46:06Speaker 1: not need to be on any drugs anymore. Will his
- 46:09Speaker 1: illness come back when he gets completely off the drugs,
- 46:11Speaker 1: Iachi asked. A Rochi Maru thought about it before waving
- 46:14Speaker 1: his hand in the air. Fifty to fifty, I'd say,
- 46:17Speaker 1: A Rochi Maru said it. Tachi nodded, all right, now
- 46:20Speaker 1: it's time to fulfill your end of the bargain, A
- 46:23Speaker 1: Rochi Maru said, standing up, Itachi laughed, you really think?
- 46:27Speaker 1: Huh No, not yet. I have no proof that anything
- 46:31Speaker 1: you're actually saying is true. For all I know, you
- 46:34Speaker 1: plan to tell me my brother will be healed, kill me,
- 46:37Speaker 1: and then abandon him, leaving him to die without treatment.
- 46:40Speaker 1: I've already been double crossed. It won't happen again. You
- 46:43Speaker 1: put your failsafe on me. Now I get to make
- 46:45Speaker 1: sure you won't betray me. A Rochi Maru sighed and
- 46:49Speaker 1: then sat back down again. What do you recommend, he asked.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Iachi thought, for a moment, you're going to keep us
- 46:55Speaker 1: informed on the medication you're giving saske for the next
- 46:58Speaker 1: two years. Then when I see he's well and knows
- 47:02Speaker 1: how to take care of himself, then I'll let you
- 47:05Speaker 1: have my body. You're crazy if you think I'm just
- 47:07Speaker 1: going to let you kill me without seeing your work
- 47:09Speaker 1: prove itself. A Rochi Maru let out a sigh and
- 47:12Speaker 1: then thought about it. Looking around. He then turned his
- 47:15Speaker 1: gaze back at it Tachi, and what's to stop me
- 47:18Speaker 1: from simply taking your body now? A Rochi Maru asked,
- 47:21Speaker 1: I already have my cursemark on you. Who's to say
- 47:24Speaker 1: that I don't just take over your body now and
- 47:26Speaker 1: do whatever I please. You do know you're at my mercy? Correct?
- 47:31Speaker 1: Itachi scoffed? You plan to double cross me? Then? Guess
- 47:34Speaker 1: they were right when they said you're a snake. A
- 47:37Speaker 1: Roachi Maru stood, maybe I should just activate that cursemark
- 47:41Speaker 1: now bend you to my will. Itachi held up a
- 47:44Speaker 1: half ram symbol and almost went down, but through sheer
- 47:47Speaker 1: will and determination, he stood strong. Letting off a smile,
- 47:51Speaker 1: he spoke, try me now, snake. A Rochi Maru attempted
- 47:55Speaker 1: to activate the mark but found it to fail. Fear
- 47:58Speaker 1: came over a Rochi maru face as he understood what
- 48:01Speaker 1: was happening? Evil sealing technique? You sealed it up? Itachi nodded.
- 48:06Speaker 1: Your fail safe turned out to be less safe and
- 48:09Speaker 1: more fail huh. It was at about that time that
- 48:12Speaker 1: the world seemed to fade around a Rochi Maru. The
- 48:15Speaker 1: sky forming overhead in crimson clouds and darkness. The moon
- 48:19Speaker 1: shone the shape of Iachi's Mongekyo Sharraghan. Unable to defend himself,
- 48:23Speaker 1: a Rochimru was quickly eliminated. As his body lay on
- 48:27Speaker 1: the ground, Itachi set it ablaze with a Matarasu to
- 48:30Speaker 1: destroy the body and ensure that Arochi Maru never revived again.
- 48:34Speaker 1: This was not something he hoped to do so early.
- 48:37Speaker 1: He wished to first see whether what Arochi Maru had
- 48:40Speaker 1: said was true, so he began to dig into his
- 48:43Speaker 1: files and his databases to find that it was true.
- 48:46Speaker 1: A Rochi Maru had discovered the way to heal Saske
- 48:49Speaker 1: of his illness. Getting the plan for his medication, he
- 48:51Speaker 1: found the pharmaceuticals that were required for him to heal
- 48:54Speaker 1: his brother. Then he found Saske. How you do in champ?
- 48:58Speaker 1: He asked a little. Saske replied, breathing and talking's a
- 49:02Speaker 1: little painful, but I'm okay. Iachi smiled and kissed his
- 49:06Speaker 1: brother's forehead. The good news is that mister Errochi Maru
- 49:09Speaker 1: maybe figured out what's wrong with you. He did, Saske asked.
- 49:13Speaker 1: He said it was an autoimmune disorder of some sort,
- 49:15Speaker 1: and that all would be required to help you was
- 49:18Speaker 1: to get you on certain medications for about two years.
- 49:21Speaker 1: After that, everything should be back to normal. Saske smiled,
- 49:25Speaker 1: I'm so happy, Iachi nodded. He then began to administer
- 49:28Speaker 1: the first doses as a Rochi Maru's information had asked
- 49:31Speaker 1: of them. But it was best to leave this location now.
- 49:34Speaker 1: It wouldn't be long before someone showed up and figured
- 49:37Speaker 1: out what they'd done. As they left to find somewhere
- 49:39Speaker 1: else to stay, Saske spoke, now that I'm better, can
- 49:43Speaker 1: we go home now to mom and dad? Iachi stopped.
- 49:46Speaker 1: He'd been so preoccupied with healing his brother that he
- 49:49Speaker 1: never got around to telling him what had happened. He
- 49:51Speaker 1: rented out a home in a small town, and there
- 49:54Speaker 1: he left. Saske. When will you be back? Saske asked,
- 49:57Speaker 1: I'm not sure, but soon I have some busy to
- 50:00Speaker 1: take care of first. There's food in the fridge, and
- 50:02Speaker 1: if you need any help, the landlord lives right next door.
- 50:05Speaker 1: You can ask kim okay Saske nodded. Itachi then left
- 50:09Speaker 1: the house, making his way back to the Yukotski hideout.
- 50:12Speaker 1: He made sure to do it on a day where
- 50:14Speaker 1: everyone would be gathered. He rescinded the evil ceiling technique
- 50:17Speaker 1: on his shoulder, knowing he would need it. He entered
- 50:20Speaker 1: the room. As he stood there, all the others looked
- 50:22Speaker 1: at him. Where is a rochi? Maru Payne asked. Itachi
- 50:26Speaker 1: didn't answer. His gaze told all what have you done?
- 50:30Speaker 1: Conan asked. At that moment, Iachi activated his cursemark, which
- 50:33Speaker 1: covered his whole body further. He ascended at the second
- 50:36Speaker 1: stage seize him. Payin said it was too late, though
- 50:40Speaker 1: Itachi set Zetsu ablaze and immediately moved in to kill Juso.
- 50:44Speaker 1: The Ninja swordsman leveled the executioner's blade at i Tachi,
- 50:48Speaker 1: planning to sever him in two, but the wings on
- 50:50Speaker 1: his back puffed him out of the way of the blade.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Coming up behind Juso, he put a hand through his back. Kakazu,
- 50:56Speaker 1: his partner and Sorcery all sprung into action against Iachi,
- 51:00Speaker 1: only for Iachi to form his Susano giant and armored
- 51:03Speaker 1: to smash them. Saucery was smashed and left broken like
- 51:07Speaker 1: the toy he was. Conan attempted to use her exploding
- 51:10Speaker 1: tags to destroy Itachi and his Susano, and to her credit,
- 51:13Speaker 1: it did work. But what she hadn't expected was that
- 51:16Speaker 1: this was not the real Itachi. Coming from the door again,
- 51:20Speaker 1: Itachi utilized Amatarasu to set her and all of her
- 51:23Speaker 1: paper ablaze. The sight of Conan burning to death was
- 51:26Speaker 1: enough to get Pain finally involved. Utilizing Almighty Push, he
- 51:31Speaker 1: sent Itachi through the wall and out of the base.
- 51:33Speaker 1: As Iachi flew he landed, he knew Kakazu and his
- 51:36Speaker 1: partner were still alive, but that didn't matter. All he
- 51:39Speaker 1: had to do was kill Pain, and their toxic dream
- 51:42Speaker 1: would be at an end, or so he thought. Appearing
- 51:45Speaker 1: from behind him, the man who had once been Iachi's
- 51:48Speaker 1: aid during the massacre appeared. Tisk Tisk tisk, And after
- 51:52Speaker 1: everything we've done for you, you would do this. I
- 51:55Speaker 1: guess your name makes sense, You weasele. Loyalty is just
- 51:59Speaker 1: something you can't under stand. Iachi turned around and fired
- 52:02Speaker 1: Amatarasu at the man, only for him to catch it
- 52:05Speaker 1: in his Kammowe dimension. Such attacks will not work on me, Iachi,
- 52:09Speaker 1: Obito said, his mongek yo sharinggan burning. Pain stood there.
- 52:13Speaker 1: I would be grateful if you'd help me, he told
- 52:15Speaker 1: the masked man. Obito looked to Pain and then back
- 52:18Speaker 1: at I. Tachi. M No, I think I'll watch. I
- 52:22Speaker 1: wish to see if I was correct to choose you
- 52:24Speaker 1: or not, he said, choose, Iachi questioned. Suddenly, the masked
- 52:29Speaker 1: man disappeared. Pain seemed disappointed, but said not a word
- 52:33Speaker 1: as Toby disappeared. Fine, fine, I will destroy you myself,
- 52:38Speaker 1: he said, summoning the other five members of his group,
- 52:41Speaker 1: the Six Paths of Pain. Iachi stood there, only now
- 52:44Speaker 1: realizing that Pain had comrades. He didn't truly understand what
- 52:48Speaker 1: he was looking at and merely assumed that they were
- 52:51Speaker 1: six Rinegon users. What he was looking at made no
- 52:54Speaker 1: difference to him, though, as he prepared to kill them all.
- 52:57Speaker 1: If anything, this might make it a little more fair
- 52:59Speaker 1: for Pain. As the six Paths began to rush toward him,
- 53:02Speaker 1: he activated his Susano once again, only for the animal
- 53:06Speaker 1: path to summon its animals, which consisted of a large
- 53:09Speaker 1: three headed dog, a bird, and a centipede. Itachi saw
- 53:13Speaker 1: them coming. The dog he decided to take out immediately.
- 53:16Speaker 1: With a matarasu and the centipede, he stabbed the blade
- 53:19Speaker 1: of his susano. The drill beaked bird would fly into him,
- 53:22Speaker 1: causing damage to his construct. Itachi would stumble about as
- 53:25Speaker 1: he was struck. It was then that he noticed his
- 53:28Speaker 1: susana was growing weaker. It was being absorbed by the Predopath.
- 53:32Speaker 1: Itachi looked over, saw it absorbing a susano and let
- 53:36Speaker 1: go of his susana before moving in for hand to
- 53:38Speaker 1: hand combat. Pulling his tonto, he danced around the predapath
- 53:42Speaker 1: before bisecting it. The Divapath once again attempted to push
- 53:45Speaker 1: Itachi away, but this time Iachi dug into the ground
- 53:48Speaker 1: with his blade and hung on. He pulled the kunai
- 53:51Speaker 1: out and began to draw closer. As Payne tried to
- 53:54Speaker 1: hit him with another almighty push. Itachi began to scale
- 53:57Speaker 1: what seemed to be a horizontal wall until till he
- 54:00Speaker 1: was close enough to sweep Diva's legs. Before he could
- 54:03Speaker 1: finish off Diva, the animal path summoned its bird to
- 54:05Speaker 1: pull Itachi into the air. As I Tachi was dragged
- 54:08Speaker 1: through the sky, he utilized Amatarasu on the bird to
- 54:11Speaker 1: evaporate it. As it dropped him. He dove straight at
- 54:14Speaker 1: the animal path, eliminating it. At about this time, the
- 54:17Speaker 1: Ashura Path was firing at him with missiles. Itachi bounced back.
- 54:22Speaker 1: He then saw the Naraka Path putting the body of
- 54:24Speaker 1: the Preda into the King of Hell. Before the Preda
- 54:27Speaker 1: came out completely healed, Itachi knew he couldn't have that,
- 54:31Speaker 1: so he ignored the Ashura and rushed the Naraka and
- 54:33Speaker 1: Preda once again. You were better off dead, he shouted
- 54:37Speaker 1: as he beheaded both and one fell swoop. Only three
- 54:40Speaker 1: paths remained, the Diva, human, and Ashura Path. The human
- 54:44Speaker 1: was the closest to him, so he moved to deal
- 54:47Speaker 1: with it first. Its powers were not enough to do
- 54:50Speaker 1: much in the face of Itachi, and so Itachi put
- 54:52Speaker 1: it down fairly easily, but getting close to the Ashura
- 54:55Speaker 1: Path seemed next to impossible. It possessed six arms, and
- 54:59Speaker 1: each one one was a weapon. Taijutsu was out of
- 55:02Speaker 1: the question, and even as susano might not work, so
- 55:04Speaker 1: the best thing he could think to do was hit
- 55:06Speaker 1: it from a distance, and so he cast Ashura under genjutsu.
- 55:10Speaker 1: As it fired a new volley of missiles at him,
- 55:13Speaker 1: scrambling its ability to tell where its missiles were going,
- 55:16Speaker 1: he convinced it to turn the projectiles back on itself,
- 55:19Speaker 1: or at least he would have if the Diva Path
- 55:22Speaker 1: beside it hadn't noticed he was under genjutsu. How Diva
- 55:25Speaker 1: understood this, Iachi wasn't sure. Itachi was knocked back by
- 55:29Speaker 1: the missiles. Itachi resorted to Amatarasu to take it out.
- 55:33Speaker 1: The flesh burned away to show metallic robotic inerts. What
- 55:37Speaker 1: kind of warrior are you? He questioned the Ashura path.
- 55:40Speaker 1: Putting his hands together, he used the shadow clone technique,
- 55:44Speaker 1: and to ensure that pain himself didn't interfere, he created
- 55:47Speaker 1: a few more for him to fight. The Iachis drew
- 55:50Speaker 1: closer to Ashura and began to fight. Eventually, they overwhelmed
- 55:54Speaker 1: it and began to sever limbs from its body. With
- 55:57Speaker 1: it severely weakened, Iachi tried his Lussano again, smashing the
- 56:02Speaker 1: Path to oblivion. All that was left now was Diva,
- 56:05Speaker 1: which was defeating each shadow clone as they came in,
- 56:08Speaker 1: Itachi himself attempted to draw closer. Pain generated a set
- 56:11Speaker 1: of chakra rods to use as weapons against Iachi. Their
- 56:15Speaker 1: battle went back and forth. Whether almighty push or universal pull,
- 56:19Speaker 1: neither technique worked against Iachi, so Diva made the decision
- 56:22Speaker 1: to use its last resort, which was the Chibaku tense.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Itachi ended up getting pulled into the center of a
- 56:29Speaker 1: large mass of stones, and as it rose up into
- 56:32Speaker 1: the air, Pain began to believe that he had attained victory,
- 56:35Speaker 1: but this could not be further from the truth. A
- 56:38Speaker 1: moment after the Chibaku tense settled, Iachi suddenly broke out
- 56:41Speaker 1: of it with the susano. As the stone crashed down
- 56:44Speaker 1: to the ground, Itachi fell with his susano, smashing Diva
- 56:48Speaker 1: entirely ending him. Itachi further utilized Amatarasu to burn each
- 56:52Speaker 1: of the bodies until there was nothing left, erasing any
- 56:56Speaker 1: trace of their existence. He had no clue the full
- 56:59Speaker 1: extent of the powers of the rinegon, and he didn't
- 57:01Speaker 1: want to figure it out, especially if it could allow
- 57:04Speaker 1: the user to revive from almost nothing. The battle was over,
- 57:08Speaker 1: but what i Tachi wasn't aware of was that there
- 57:11Speaker 1: was another path, the original path, the outer path Nagato himself.
- 57:16Speaker 1: Nagato realized he couldn't beat Itachi as he was, but
- 57:20Speaker 1: calmed down as Iachi did not know he was alive
- 57:23Speaker 1: and as such could not know to kill him. He
- 57:26Speaker 1: would have his revenge one day, or so, he thought.
- 57:30Speaker 1: That was when Obito entered the room. I guess you
- 57:33Speaker 1: never were more than just a holder of them, he said.
- 57:36Speaker 1: What Nagato said merely an interim sage. Those eyes never
- 57:41Speaker 1: were yours, just gifts from me. But now I'm taking
- 57:45Speaker 1: them back, he said, and without a moment to lose,
- 57:48Speaker 1: Obito was on top of Nagato's walker, where he put
- 57:51Speaker 1: a blade through his chest and pulled the rinegon from
- 57:54Speaker 1: their sockets. Obito was rather impressed by Itachi, but knew
- 57:59Speaker 1: that he'd be at Airasi in the future. He needed
- 58:02Speaker 1: to at this moment put a stop to him. The
- 58:04Speaker 1: rinegon could wait, and so once again Obito approached i Tachi.
- 58:10Speaker 1: That was a fair battle you had. I'm impressed. However,
- 58:14Speaker 1: he was not the heart of the Katski you trader.
- 58:17Speaker 1: That would be me, and I'm a whole other ballgame
- 58:19Speaker 1: from pain, he said. Iachi stood there catching his breath.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Holding up a kunai, he threw it at Obito, only
- 58:26Speaker 1: for Obito to absorb it. Pathetic, Obito said, you're Amatarasu
- 58:30Speaker 1: didn't work. What makes you think a kunai would. Iachi
- 58:34Speaker 1: didn't speak. Maybe you weren't as smart as I thought
- 58:37Speaker 1: you were, Obito said. He then pulled out a blade
- 58:40Speaker 1: and proceeded to attack i Tachi. Iahi tried to dodge
- 58:43Speaker 1: the attacks as best he could, knowing that the weapon
- 58:46Speaker 1: could phase through his own blade. He tried to carve
- 58:49Speaker 1: through Obito, only for nothing to happen. But Obito had
- 58:52Speaker 1: underestimated Iachi. Iachi now knew what his secret was. So
- 58:57Speaker 1: your technique is dimensional, Iachi said, to avoid it blows,
- 59:00Speaker 1: you phase your body through that dimension. Your sharing gun
- 59:03Speaker 1: generates perceptive Obito said, and sadly, since only I have
- 59:08Speaker 1: access to that dimension, you have no chance to defeat me.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Itachi stood there and readied his next attack. He chose
- 59:14Speaker 1: his target. He rushed through on the other side of
- 59:18Speaker 1: the Kamowi dimensions wall. Though that kunai Iachi had thrown
- 59:21Speaker 1: had proven itself to be a clone of Iachi in disguise.
- 59:25Speaker 1: It was through this that Iachi knew the truth. The
- 59:28Speaker 1: clone waited there for Iachi's attack. As Iachi dodged the
- 59:31Speaker 1: next blow from Obito, he went to sever Obito's head.
- 59:35Speaker 1: Obito phased through the blade. As he stood there, he
- 59:38Speaker 1: laughed pathetic. Suddenly his head rolled from his shoulders to
- 59:43Speaker 1: the ground. With the head now severed, the body was vulnerable,
- 59:47Speaker 1: and creepily enough, it was still moving looking for its head.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Itachi incinerated it with the matarasu before he could find it.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Coming to the head, he looked down on it. You
- 59:57Speaker 1: clever boy, the head of Obito, said, you sent a
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: into my kamowie realm. Maybe you are smarter than I
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: gave you credit for your toxic dream ends with you,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Itachi said. Obito laughed a bit, perhaps so, but know
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: this for a fact. Wherever there's war, there will be pain,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: and wherever there's pain, there will be me. Itachi scoffed,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: and then hit the head with a matarasu. He was
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: unsure whether it was his own amatarasu or his clones,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: but the head burst into flame all the same and
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: burned to nothing. In the distance. Ka Kazu and his
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: partner watched this happen. Man he killed lord pain. Ka
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Kazu's partner said, Ka Kazoo nodded, Oh, well, it was
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: kind of a stupid dream anyway, the sodap Shenobi said,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: it's best we stay out of his way. Together, the
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: two escaped. Itachi would later make his way back to
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: his home, where he found Saske. The boy looked up
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: at Iachi. He smiled, glad to be better, but Saske,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: all the same, had no clue the pain that would
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: await him. Itachi knew that that time was now, and
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: so he began to explaining everything to his little brother,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: the whole story that he had missed to this point.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Saske took it hard, and for quite a long time,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: it seemed as though Saske hated i Tachi. In some cases,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: he attempted to stop taking his medication, but Iachi spoke
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: to him, You're right, Saske. I made a mistake. I
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: trusted someone who said they had a cure, and they
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: convinced me to do something very bad, and I'm sorry.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I know that it doesn't mean much at this point,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: but the truth is the uchiha we're going to take over.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: If nothing happened, the whole world would have gone to war.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Why didn't you talk to Dad about it, he asked.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: I did on many occasions, but he never wanted to help.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: He resigned himself to a revolution that would have created
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: a world war. Dad was willing to risk a world
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: war just for his clan, and you were willing to
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: risk your clan for me, Saske said. Iachi thought about it.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: You know what, You're right. I am just like him,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: but I still did it because I love you. He
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: then pulled out a kunai and gave it to Saske.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: If you truly hate me for what I've done, then
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: I understand. Take the kunai and kill me. But if
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: you do promise me one thing. What's that? Saske asked,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Promise me you'll take your medicine. Saske readied to kill
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: his brother, but tears flooded his eyes. He dropped the
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: blade and fell into his brother's arms. Itachi held him there.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: What he had done was horrible, but he did it
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: for Saske, and maybe he was wrong to do it,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: but he couldn't go back now. All he could do
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: was move forward. He would give Saske the best life
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: he could. Itachi was the only family Saske had left,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: and so he needed to be dependable. The world would
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: settle and peace would continue, but Iachi knew it was
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: only a matter of time. The words Obito said were chilling,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: and Iachi knew that it would be true. War created monsters,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: and monsters created more war. It was an endless cycle,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: but he hoped one day it wouldn't have to be.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: He hoped one day, true lasting peace would come, and
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: when it did, he hoped he would be there to
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: see it. And that's the end of our story. I
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: hope you enjoyed it. If you did, be sure to
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: let us know in the comments what your favorite part was.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: As for Soaske's illness, I wasn't quite sure what it was.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: Kishimoto never explained it, but a lot of fan theories
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: say it was MPa, also known as microscopic polyangitis, and well,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: I never named it here, I assumed it was. That
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: being said, a lot of the doctor's stuff a Rochimaro
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: talked about was just stuff I looked up on the internet.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: So don't take anything we said here as medical advice.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: This was all just a story for funzies. And if
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: you think you have any health issues, please consult a
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: real medical professional. I'm not a doctor, but yeah, I
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: hope you enjoyed it. If you did, make sure to like,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: subscribe and ring the bell to be notified when more
