- 0:19than things.
- 0:20Speaker 1: So I way back. This is Mother's Day, Father's Day present.
- 0:24I bought tickets to Jim Gaffigan on Saturday, the early show,
- 0:28the five o'clock Show. And it's a good thing it
- 0:30was five o'clock because we had a Halloween party later
- 0:33in the night. I need two things on Saturday.
- 0:35Speaker 2: If it had been a later show, you would have
- 0:37missed your own party.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I know. And so Jim gaffigin always funny. His opening act.
- 0:45I had one one joke that I had a problem.
- 0:48I don't know his name, and this is going to
- 0:54be woke me. So he talked about I bought a
- 0:58new house and my neighborhood there's there's flags. Everybody has flags.
- 1:03Speaker 2: In their yard.
- 1:04Speaker 1: And there are a lot of neighbors that have Black
- 1:08Lives Matter flags in their yard. And there are not
- 1:11very many black people in my neighborhood.
- 1:16Speaker 2: You know, people that have so dumb Black.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Lives Matter flags or dum Pride flags. It's not like identifying,
- 1:26hey somebody black lives here, ray gay person lives. It's saying, hey,
- 1:31we we love you, were your allies. I have to
- 1:34support you.
- 1:35Speaker 2: I had this. I've told this story before, Gino, remember this.
- 1:38I had a boss once. I ran a promo for
- 1:40the United Negro College Fund. That's when I was working
- 1:43at a TV station. Briefly, I run this promo. It's
- 1:46you know, so they send them to you on tape.
- 1:49You run the promo. He calls me into his office.
- 1:51Why are we running a promo for the United Negro
- 1:54College Fund. There's not a Negro college within five hundred
- 1:57miles of here. I just shook my head and walked
- 2:01out of the room.
- 2:03Speaker 1: So after that, I needed the costume that could be
- 2:07quickly assembled to get to the party on time.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Yes, you've been asking our listeners for suggestions.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And I took their suggestions and I incorporated them, and
- 2:17I said, Katie, some pictures. Oh okay, we have pictures.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Have them.
- 2:21Speaker 1: We need to get dot com slash live.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Let's see. I'm guessing that your meat, your meat cutters,
- 2:31your tree farmers.
- 2:32Speaker 1: So we're tree farmers.
- 2:35Speaker 2: The pine tree.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Yeah, we had little pine pine branches stuffed.
- 2:39Speaker 2: In our pocket.
- 2:40Speaker 1: With a little pine branches stuffed in our pockets, and uh,
- 2:46also in our pockets. I had business cards printed at
- 2:49a front of the program's suggestion because not only are
- 2:52we tree farmers, it's crazy Joe's Tree and body Farm,
- 2:57Tree and limb cutting services cutting, and our little tagline
- 3:02is would you like a fresh cut? So not only
- 3:06do we have trees, but we will We thought there
- 3:08would be some serial killers at the party that you know,
- 3:12this is a service we can brow. You might have
- 3:13these bodies stacking up at your house. We'll take those
- 3:17off your hands.
- 3:17Speaker 2: How did this go over?
- 3:19Speaker 1: I mean it was a good idea. I had a
- 3:23toy chainsaw, and we had the business cards. What we
- 3:28didn't take into account is we went to a party
- 3:31full of people that that that need reading glasses. So
- 3:37we kept handing these cards out, hold them out and
- 3:41go what's that I can't home?
- 3:51Speaker 2: Said one of Daddy Gary's places. Is that where you went?
- 3:55Speaker 1: So?
- 3:55Speaker 2: Then so then sauce afterwards.
- 3:58Speaker 1: It's not as fun when you have to. But I
- 4:05may wait wear this costume every year now because it
- 4:09was car hearts, and they are comfortable. You can bend over.
- 4:15Speaker 2: And you can bend.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Over you drop someone on the floor. Bend over what.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Your husband looks frighteningly into it. You, however, you, however,
- 4:33look like a model who's trying to pretend to be.
- 4:36Speaker 1: To pretend to be a tree farmer slash body farmer.
- 4:40Speaker 2: You shouldn't have worn the or so you're wearing nice makeup.
- 4:45You should have either made it really extreme or none
- 4:48at all.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Well, like I said, the problem was, it was I
- 4:51was coming directly from Jim gaffer.
- 4:53Speaker 2: You should have worn your costumes to Jim Gaffigan.
- 4:56Speaker 1: So I really just changed, Michael. I didn't do this
- 5:00kept for the party. It was just that's how I
- 5:03was after going out.
- 5:04Speaker 2: You should have smeared some lipstick on, you know, kind
- 5:06of crooked, change some clothes. Your husband, though, I'd be
- 5:12a little worried about him. A little worried, Yeah, I
- 5:14mean in real life he's Yeah.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And that chainsaw is a great toy chainsaw because it
- 5:21actually has a blade that moves a little plastic blade
- 5:26around a little rubber.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I think that's what they were wrong. That's I think
- 5:30that's what they were using in thriller. They did a
- 5:32chainsaw dance thing, and I think that's those were those
- 5:38little toys. All right, so what but we did that?
- 5:42Speaker 1: We I did two things.
- 5:43Speaker 2: All what kind of thing? What kind of spooky food
- 5:46did they have? Did they have spooky like witch's fingers?
- 5:50Speaker 1: And no, they just got red iguana.
- 5:55Speaker 2: It was all tomato.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Be alright, traffic, Ah, let's see a bunch ofeer sighted
- 6:06people who like red iguana.
- 6:10Speaker 1: There are fun What does it say?
- 6:11Speaker 2: I can't real it sounds fun.
