- 0:02[SPEAKER_00]: is the Steve Downs, the voice of Master Chief, Spartan 1-1-7, with an incoming message for Ryan Green and all, we'll listen to the podcast It Just Works, let's finish the fight.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: Listen up, Chief, out.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_02]: Hello everyone and welcome to the AdjustWorks podcast on your host Ryan and today is a predictions focused episode as we dive into a trilogy of episodes that are going to be coming out in the same week.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty damn excited but to help me talk about all the tendo news and predictions coming up with the brand new directs we have coming out with the legend is all the direct and then it's an all direct we have on Brian from another final page Brian.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: How you doing man?
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing great.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for having me ran.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited to be here and excited for this upcoming week we have with a lot of news coming out and excited to hear both of our thoughts about it.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I'm pretty I'm pretty excited to talk about it.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, these these like
- 1:02[SPEAKER_02]: you know annual yearly predictions podcast episodes that we do for everything Nintendo is it's fucking hilarious because we're getting to the point now where a lot of stuff we want is kind of starting to happen it's actually insane but yeah so before we dive into that what have you been playing recently is anything notable that you've really that you've picked up or that maybe you've played and actually found the time for
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: Man, I've been extremely distracted the past month or two with retro gaming.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: I my switch to I have so many games for but I've been really diving into Game Boy SP's DS's.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm playing a lot of those.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: I've been playing some Zelda ones.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: Minish cap.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: I was playing Oracle seasons, and 3DS has such a wild catalog of games that I didn't play, but I don't want to continue doing that.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: I do want to go back to my Switch 2, so I want to go back to Star Fox pretty shortly, and then Elder Scrolls of Blivin, I want to pick up, but it's been a pain to find, so hopefully I can find it soon.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: But those are the main things that I really want to play right now.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: You know, obviously this is a we record mainly for audio, but just watching your face like I feel like there's another game But maybe not I think that's so many switch two games and I know there's so many that are coming out and I just can't think of any right now.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: I do I do want to play Indiana Jones.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: I want to play Elder Scrolls cry ran I want to play fallout.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: I've played it before, but it's nice to have it on the switch too, but I'm kind of waiting on a price drug for that when I will grab it I know you've been having a lot of fun with it.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: You said
- 2:41[SPEAKER_02]: yeah dude like so we're kind of having like the opposite scenario now where i've been diving into a lot of modern or not modern games but at least modern for switched to users i am for a fifty hours into fall out for today as of as of by the end of tonight it doesn't register it on my profile yet
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: And I have, geez, I've probably put in 15 hours this week on it, just having a lot of fun.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of the fun of it as a game is actually what you can do to break them.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: So like Pokemon Generation 3, you know, you could do a lot of things with the boxes and stuff and break it.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_02]: You know, but those games are no, you know, they're no, you know, it's no news to them.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_02]: So with Fallout 4, I can do things that give me.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_02]: I can do unlimited caps if I really want to.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_02]: I can just sit there rinse and repeat for hours and basically have enough money to never worry about money.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: Or you can duplicate items.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's a big one in oblivion with like log picks.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_02]: However, in Fallout 4, you can duplicate items like materials to make other stuff, to customize your weapons, armor, to build encampments, you know, for your settlements.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_02]: So there's a lot of stuff that is really fun to do that with, because obviously, I'm both scarce, and I'm used to playing Fallout 76, and you can actually just craft your own ammo in that game.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: I forgot that you couldn't in the past fallouts.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: So I went back into that, and I playing through the new-go-world expansion, which I had back in the day, but I've actually never played it.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, I'm a good guy character.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm gonna go the good guy route.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: That DLC is a hundred percent and then for like Raiders and people who are like You know anti heroes are just straight up bad characters So unfortunately, I have a certain option that I have to go with that I'm not gonna say But it basically kind of cuts the expansion pretty short, but I'm I'm still I think
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: When everything's said and done, like 15 hours into what it was, I think, 15, $20, expansion back in the day.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm loving it.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm having a lot of fun.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Nuke stuff is really cool because Savannah likes it, but also it's this literally Disney world.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's like Disneyland, but you know, fall out universe.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: So that game is good.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: There's not really any issues as far as performance or is there a big up here there?
- 4:53[SPEAKER_02]: There's hiccups, but nothing even close to ruin your experience.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_02]: And for a while in handheld mode, because it's exclusive to handheld mode, I was actually playing 40 FPS when it first came out.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: But now I just play in 60 FPS because the blur in the distance doesn't really bother me, because you're playing in handheld.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not like you're looking like way down the road, way down the mountains, you know?
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's fine.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_02]: I would say that if you want a good balance, still go 40 FPS, but yeah, that game's got a chokehold on me.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: I've already put 15 or 10 or 15 hours in the Elder Ring for this switch to that's been a lot of fun.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: That game has some serious optimization things that it needs, but you know, it's still fun.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: What's that?
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's one I really want to buy too and I went to GameStop today because I had a gift card.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I knew there was a game that I was thinking of that I wanted, but I ended up walking out and Elden Ring was like, I really really do want to play Elden Ring because I haven't played that.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I highly recommend it.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: I would say because of the optimization updates that it needs that if you're not dying to play it tomorrow I would still I'd actually probably say just wait maybe good until black Friday or like just you know That's sell time for obviously gaming and media Only me as sure to just came out on Friday.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's the first one in like 20 years or something like that
- 6:09[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_02]: If there's a demo available now, highly recommend it.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm only like two hours in.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: But it's just one of those games where you'd pretty much know right out the gate if you're going to like it or not.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's pretty quick to, you know, make your judgment.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_02]: Playing, uh, halo, I'm playing so much stuff.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's ridiculous.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_02]: The switch to though is it's truly just a remarkable console that I'm constantly having fun on.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: So which is pretty much what we're leading up to today and that's obviously to talk about the Legend of Zelda Nintendo Direct that is going to be on September 8th at 7 a.m. Pacific Standard Time and then also the Nintendo Direct that is September 9th which is also Eric the casual gamers birthday which is also at 7 a.m. and there's also going to be an Nintendo Treehouse afterwards presumably to show Ukraine a time gameplay or
- 6:53[SPEAKER_02]: maybe 12 at Princess gameplay.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: Anyways, we are here to talk about our predictions.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_02]: We always do this, and it's such a big deal, and it's always fun for us.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_02]: Regardless, it's just sit down and talk about that.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_02]: How about a reformy, just dive into that for the rest of the episode?
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: I do want to say that for the 25th anniversary of Legend of Zelda, which was in 2011, they released Skyward Sword with the Gold We Remote, an operative time 3D.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: and the free four swords anniversary edition.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_02]: But they also published the Hyrule Historia and launched the symphony of the goddess's tour.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_02]: That was a gigantic anniversary if you ask me.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_02]: Those are pretty crazy releases all around.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: An awkward amount of time 3D.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_02]: I honestly think is a gorgeous fucking game.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: I remember when I bought my 3DS and played it, it was the first time I actually beat awkward times and I probably put like 50 hours into it.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: For the 30th anniversary in 2016, we got my beloved Twilight Princess HD with a wolf link of Mibo and then the new character of Mibo lines and then is also concerts in Japan.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_02]: So pretty small in comparison in my opinion, so the previous one, Twilight Princess will come up again later.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: But for 35th anniversary for the 35th anniversary of Legend of Zelda in 2021, they released Skyward Sword HD on the Nintendo Switch alongside a special edition of Joycons and a game of game and watch Legend of Zelda system, which I always thought was cool and probably should have bought because it went really low because no one bought it, and I never did.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: And then for the 48th anniversary, which is this year,
- 8:32[SPEAKER_02]: It started in February of this year when the franchise actually turned 40 on February 21st, there was basically nothing besides minor patches and language updates for the breath of the wild.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_02]: So this year's been kind of weird for a lot of people because they imagine that something would actually happen however Pokemon Day is also in February.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: So they were like, nope, just doing Pokemon in February and holding off on the Zelda stuff.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_02]: I gotta say, I can't really blame him.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_02]: The way the year has gone for Nintendo.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's actually pretty smart that they've held off until the September Nintendo Direct.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_02]: If you think about it, we don't only do we have Pokemon Day.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_02]: We also had like the Yoshi game, Pokemon, Poco Pia, Star Fox, and Splatoon Raiders.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's another game I'm missing.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: That's an Nintendo first party IP.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: But they've had a really good year in fire emblem is up next.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_02]: So the year is going to keep going.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_02]: But obviously, we want to talk about those predictions that we have ourselves for the Legend of Zelda Direct first.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: I'll throw it out there with my first prediction, and then we'll kind of go back and forth with each other.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: I still think Twilight Princess gets Shadow Drop either for the GameCube on Tuesday or they just bring back HD Switch 2 version.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_02]: What are your thoughts on that, Brian?
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's possible.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think they would put it on NSO and then I don't think they would put it on NSO and then give us the we you port the HD version at the same time.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: If anything, I think they would drop the NSO GameCube ports and then a year or two down the road, maybe do a double pack.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: I still don't even know if they would do a double pack.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: Because I honestly think they could get away with full price in both of those games.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't agree with that, but I genuinely think they can get away with that and people will still buy it.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: news and things that could happen while i princess is it really high on my list like i want to play and i want to play but i just don't see it happening with every other thing that could be coming obviously we're gonna be getting ocarina movie news could be a couple other little things but
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think a big focus this year is going to be Ocarina and Twilight Princess would be kind of a big deal or a big game to put on.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: And so, while they're doing another big game this year, so Twilight Princess will come in some shape or form be it the HD or the regular.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: But I just don't know if I see it for this direct.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: I want it, but I just don't see it.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: I picture it in my head where
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: IGA, Numa, or IJ, I don't know if I'm saying it wrong right now.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_02]: I picture it in my head where he comes out and says that legendary warrior that you practice with in Twilight Princess, like he officially confirms that his canon, I think it is already, but maybe it's not.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_02]: I should have looked that up before I recorded that skill to warrior that you fight is the hero of time, and that's where they go, like, and to celebrate that,
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: you can start playing Twilight Princess today, or something like that.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_02]: I just feel like, again, I think it might be canon already.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_02]: There's so many, so many, so many Zelda theorists that already think it's 100%.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_02]: I just think that'd be a good way to bridge it.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_02]: But also, like Nintendo's ready on the up and up,
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: like Twilight Princess, like saving it for later, I don't think would be more beneficial than now, especially since Ocarina time is either, it's either November or December, it's not coming out in October.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: So I feel like what better way to just maintain that momentum, Twilight Princess is like the easiest bet, like there's never been an easier bet.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's then, if it's NSO,
- 12:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, literally zero risk and you could still do the switch to HD version later a year or two down the road to then capitalize on the extra profit.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: I just think there are so many things that Nintendo does that it's super obvious on paper and it makes sense and you would think why wouldn't they do it?
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then they take a different direction and do something completely different.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: I had something in my mind as an example, it's not going to go, but it went away with a crossbow training.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, just a little fact that they not crossbow training, but we're going to bring back crossbow training with just the process of doing gimmick.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: the game.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the fact that they put the original win waker on NSO was kind of strange, everybody, everybody wanted the HD one.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody expected the original one, but that happens.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: That was definitely not what people works, but it makes sense because they have the game cube app, but I don't know.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: It does make sense.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: It always they could do something different.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_02]: The HD version of win waker compared to the original.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: is like a night and day difference.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the shadows, the sell shaded characters, like all of it looks so amazing in the HD version.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: That was my favorite thing about picking up that cop or that addition of the Wii U, was just how cool when Waker looked.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't finish it because I don't really care about the game.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_02]: But there's no denying that the graphical difference between its original and HD, just like Ocarantime and 3D, like that game is crazy.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: That should have got a Switch 2 version, and Twilight Princess should have launched with the game cube, because I love Twilight Princess, it's probably my favorite, definitely story-wise.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: But the HD version isn't from what I remember, like that big of a difference to where you had it.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think that...
- 14:12[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think the H.C. version might have added 60 frames, which I am a slot for these days, but other than that, they added a boss rush mode, I think, and then extra wool flink stuff, and that's it.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think there's anything else.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: Why don't Twilight Princesses one of if not your favorite?
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: of the franchise but I've only ever played like an hour and I know damn well at some point they're going to port that HD version or do something so if they did hypothetically add it to NSO I wouldn't really want to play it because I know there's like a better version out there I have a Wii U in my other room the modded one but I don't know I just want to play it on my switch like I would like to play it on my switch I would like my first experience playing this game that I've heard about for
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: a long time to just be on my switch, have good quality, I could play it on my Wii U, but it'll come, but HD will come eventually, I feel like.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I think the next thing that's going to get announced, again, we'll just keep bouncing off of it and if you have something that I don't say, please make sure to say it.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_02]: I actually do think they bring back the concert tour.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: I could see them bringing that back.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's a pretty solid move.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, when you think about it, since the last time they did it, we've had Breath of the Wild, tears of the kingdom.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: We've also had the Hyrule Warriors games that have really good soundtracks as well.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: They also piggyback off of the wild games.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's actually the...
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I think that's going to happen.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you want to say anything to that.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like that's pretty straightforward.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that seems like a good bet.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't realize how long they've been doing the concert to yours and how many years it's been a thing.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, of course, they would do it, especially for the 40th.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's a that's a very safe bet.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: Is that something you would like go to?
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: I would if it was convenient, but I wouldn't like go out of my way to like go if that makes sense.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_02]: No, I would probably go because I feel like after seeing like the Phantom of the Opera with a live orchestra.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of a game changer.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_02]: So I think seeing videos of these live events, I'd probably go to this one for sure.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: Open up the paper at this old issue.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just full mosh pit.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think that the other thing that is a insane curve wall, it's not going to have.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_02]: And you're going to laugh at me.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_02]: At the end of it, if they don't do like a bridge to the gap, a Twilight Princess, just like a here as a thank you to the fans, let's enjoy this today together, I think that they go black screen and a title card or text pops up that says the final installment in the wilds games and now in development.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're doing a third run in the wild.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're doing a third one.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: I would hate that don't give me wrong.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: I love breath of the wild and tears of the king.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm ready to move on to a different version of Zelda.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm ready to move to a new idea.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_02]: I just feel like they've really created a good bit with Lincoln Zelda to where they can create one last game to close off this set of characters in their story and like maybe they finally, you know, not, you know, I don't know.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_02]: I just feel like the way they design these characters that it's pretty much that they like each other.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_02]: I mean at one point, if you go to the house and Krico, not Krico village, it's one of the villages.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_02]: They literally talk about how they lived together, and that was in Breath of the Wild, or that was in tears of the kingdom if you go back to the house, which was in Breath of the Wild, because it is built on the same game.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_02]: I just feel like with a switch to hardware, with a story that they've made, and how cinematic it's been compared to previous titles, I just think a third one would be a really cool way to kind of cap off this,
- 18:07[SPEAKER_02]: incredible like art style and genre changing Zelda game and then we can go back to the traditional dungeons and stuff.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: I do miss it.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know if that's what you mean, Brian, but I definitely do miss like the classic 3D Zelda experience.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_02]: I would love to just go through like the dungeons, save each group of species in their biomes and all that.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_02]: I actually do miss it quite a bit.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's still in the tears of the kingdom and breath of the wild.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: but it's stripped down and expanded upon through shrines and other stuff and don't get me wrong, like some of the shrines are fun as hell, especially when you can figure them out really fast because you just got good at the game.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I feel like there's a piece of the soul missing in those games.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_02]: And again, like you just said to yourself, like I fucking, I probably put three to 500 hours total in my breath of the wild playthroughs.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_02]: I've played four different playthroughs.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: Cheers to the kingdom.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm on the same playthrough, and I think I've only put 100 hours in, but the game was still incredible from start to finish.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like I loved my cheers to the kingdom experience, and there's still stuff I want to do on it.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_02]: I actually think what?
- 19:14[SPEAKER_02]: because I'm such, you know, we're in such modern gaming times, I think what actually slowed down my playthrough of tears of the kingdom is the fact that no expansions were announced that they just said like, hey, that's it, you know, like, that's the game.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's great because we can move on to the awkward and time remake, we can move on to other stuff.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_02]: I just think it was a bit of a bummer because I feel like there's probably something else there that they could have done with like an expanded story, peace.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, that's a huge curve ball announcement.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you got all of the Zelda fans on the ropes.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the awkwardity of time remake is one of the coolest announcements of all time.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_02]: It's one of the greatest games of all time.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: When you have all eyes on you, why don't we look ahead, too?
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: So that's kind of where I'm at with that.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_02]: We get the console.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get the console revealed for sure.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get the pro controller revealed.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_02]: My question for you is, are you going to bite?
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: The uh, the console?
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: i'm not a huge console variation person like it's cool as shit but all i could think about is my really nice case that i have that looks like uh... metroid if i put us all the one in there she's gonna look goofy i think i'm content with my black one it is tempting as shit it is a beautiful console but
- 20:36[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think I think I'm content.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't need it.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe the Pro Controller will grab.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's pretty cool.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't bought the Pro Controller two or whatever it's called.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: So I might grab that, but as far as the console, I don't.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: If it had a better battery life, then I might consider it because I think that's one of the switch choose only flaws.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: But no, I think I'm good.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: Are you considering it?
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's fine.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, how am I going to put it towards it?
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: You want to put it towards it?
- 21:12[SPEAKER_02]: Well, no, say that again.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_02]: You could have really been.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, sorry.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_01]: If you sold your switch to and put it towards like, oh, I would have two consoles.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to say, you're going to want to you fucker.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's so funny.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_02]: So that and that's the problem is like, I can't just if I have the money like right now.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like I'm hurting for it, but
- 21:31[SPEAKER_02]: I only see myself, which I can't believe I'm just putting this out there, but it is what it is.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: I only see myself like just putting this on a credit card, and that just sounds really stupid.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's like, come on, you don't need it, dude.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_02]: The issue is for me, is that I have the tears of the kingdom edition OLED, and I'm just like, dude, how cool would it be to have like, the switch to Zelda console?
- 21:54[SPEAKER_02]: And I actually like the way it looks too.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: I really like the way it looks.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's really beautiful, but I'm just not super big on console variations unless they came out with a Metroid one that I wouldn't be able to say no, honestly, you know that Well, that's kind of the thing is like that's how I feel about like the Zelda consoles, but because I had the Wii U one, I have the switch one, I want the switch two one My issue is
- 22:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like you said a little bit ago, it's not an upgrade.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like the OLED was a legitimate upgrade for me.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_02]: I actually didn't have the base OLED.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_02]: I was purposely waiting as long as I could and then sure enough, the tears of the kingdom OLED was announced.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_02]: So that was my first OLED, which also has better battery life as you just mentioned.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_02]: And that's actually kind of where I struggle with it.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_02]: Like if they announced it on Tuesday, and it's been like, hey, this is a OLED screen.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's got better handheld battery life, 100% on buying it.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_02]: I'm telling you now, like I will buy it.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it's just me, but I don't really think OLED is that necessary.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a beautiful screen.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, side by side, I guess the OLED does have brighter colors, but for the most part, I think the screen is fine.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, OLED, it's just going to make the thing more expensive if they do that, and it's already expensive as it is.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's the problem, too, is like technically as of this week, it went, it got its price hike.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_02]: So that's kind of like my issue.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: is that if it was price height, but the same price with a better screen and better battery life, then I feel like I can justify that.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I don't really know where I sit with it.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's cool regardless, like I'm excited to see it announced officially.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_02]: If it has the enhancements.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the problem with the pro controllers and I'm glad you brought that up.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: is it has the paddles on the back and I fucking hate the paddles I heard because the Pro 2 controller is extremely clicky too like because I don't know if you have the Pro will control their one it's pretty comfortable I really enjoy it yeah I have it as well I don't know where but I heard the second one is extremely clicky and I like a little bit of click but not like plastic toy that's going to break in four seconds clicky
- 24:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I've had this damn pro controller what this is the OG one like the very first run You know, obviously it's the same one if you bought it two years ago.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just saying that this is the I've had this that long You know this thing has been dropped kids have played with it.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know Obviously our our nephew and niece, you know fucking so many people have used this damn thing It's been tossed it's been thrown and it still runs perfectly fine.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_02]: No no Thumbstick drift nothing and it's a good control of me
- 24:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's a great controller, and when you're holding it, those paddles hit my fingers, and I'm just not a fan.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_02]: I can do it on the Xbox controller that's a vanabot me, because I just, for whatever reason, you can, oh, that's what it is.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_02]: On the Xbox controller that she got, you can actually just toggle it down, and they won't even register nothing.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_02]: So I think it's fine, but prefer not to just fill them.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really ever be able to or need paddles on my controller's I understand you're great with that because that's not something I need on my controller honestly.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like honestly, if I was to get a controller right now, I'd probably just be the tiers of the kingdom one that I never got because it sold out so fast.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_02]: I'd prefer that over the new one.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: Or is it the new one like 80 or 85 dollars too?
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: I forgot.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so it's $80 which means that this one if they're not feeling generous can also be like 100 bucks, you know, I don't think they're going to do that.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I'm kind of whatever.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_02]: I will say, though, if they do sell the JoyCon separately, I will pick those up.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of like my middle ground.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: If it's not the console, I'm okay with the JoyCons.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think the JoyCons are actually, well, that is what you see on the console.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think they look amazing.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_02]: So I would love to have those.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: I also wanted a second pair of JoyCons anyways for when people come over.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: So that's kind of like, a multiple reason purchase.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_02]: What else do you think might be announced?
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, definitely without a doubt more info on the movie.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure that's what we're going to hop into next.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: We're definitely going to get more info on the movie probably just a teaser trailer, not like a full blown trailer, cast announcement maybe, but, I don't know, I'm kind of really nervous about the movie.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: I shouldn't be because it should be fine, but there's just a lot of questions I have as far as,
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: how they're going to pull it off and if it's going to be its own story or if it's going to be based off of a specific game.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know, I just have a lot of questions and I feel like Tuesday we're going to know a little bit more about this movie coming out.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like they kind of have to dive into like the dark side of the fantasy universe.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying full game of the runes by any means, but I do think a little bit of lore of the rings where it is just a tad bit more violent.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think that they kind of have to tap into that.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't know how much they are.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_02]: And one of the questions that we that you had for me, you know, to kind of joke it around when we're talking on the phone a couple of weeks ago, I think you might have even been last week with the announcement is Link
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: Knowing the actor from House of Dragons, because he's a Targaryen in the show, he fucking nails it.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, the actor is so damn good.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_02]: They actually, ironically, don't give him a lot of lines, so I feel like give Link was to talk minimally.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm okay with it.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_01]: How minimally we're talking or we talking like silent Bob like every no, not silent Bob.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like that.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm moving.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's a really good question.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's a big part of what makes me nervous for this movie because I don't know how they're going to do that properly with him.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's just going to have to talk honestly.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's just going to have to talk because if there's any way that he's mu or does not talk very much, it's going to be awkward and it's going to be straight.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: I cut out.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, I think they know that though, like I think that they know that, like they think there's, I'm telling you right now, right?
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: If the trailer comes out on Tuesday, because it's been long enough, we can get the trailer now.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_01]: There's going to be a teaser though.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to be anything crazy.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_02]: But what if it's a teaser where he fucking doesn't talk?
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to go, hi, y'all.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: And that's probably all we're going to hear.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to do the same boat in the last question next podcast.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_02]: That's crazy.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_02]: I think you've got to kind of just nip it in the butt.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think he just give him a line or something.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: But I think he has to just talk normally.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he can be like how he is.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he can hi.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't think he's got to fucking talk.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not nervous about it like you are and I think even though they're not like perfect movies by any means But if you do go in there just being a fan of the games and ready to have fun I think the super Mario movies are something to go off of.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: I know galaxy was super lukewarm with a lot of people and I can understand why because we really like thrusted the story to galaxy I understand that part
- 28:58[SPEAKER_02]: But after, like, I watched it a second time in the theaters, I think.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, whenever I watched it the second time, I loved Galaxy a lot this second time.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: I liked it the first time for what it is, like Yoshi's my favorite Nintendo character besides obviously Lincoln Charizard.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_02]: So like it was cool to see him, and then Star Fox is also right up there on the fucking Mount Rushmore.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: So to see Fox McLeod is up there.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_02]: To see him as well, knowing that Glenn Powell is like such a huge fan of Star Fox apparently,
- 29:28[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know why that was announced before the movie, but I thought it was a good movie.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think story wise it's better than the first one, especially with the flow of it.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_02]: But I think they're good movies.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're really good movies that are perfect for the new kid who just picked up Mario yesterday to the someone who's been playing them for fucking what, 40, 40 years, right?
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: Was it 45 years?
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_02]: I just think that Nintendo knows their audience.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's the first thing.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: They know who's watching these movies.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: They know that the old heads and the newcomers are both going to see these movies.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_02]: And I think they're really gonna try
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: But to your point of maybe being nervous, I think live action is terrifying.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's not only just the link voice, but the fact that it's live action is extremely.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_01]: Strangely, we're a lot more nervous when they announce the Mario movie.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like animated Mario movie.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: It'll be fine And my opinion on them is they're cool for what they are.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: They're kind of basic, but you have to do that for a TV actual movie.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: You have to like make everybody happy.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: You don't want to just make the hardcore nerds happy.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: So I get why the Mario movies are kind of
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: Not bland.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's not the right word.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think burgers.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: Not nothing burgers.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: They're just kind of basic there.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: What was common denominator animated movie that It just a little risk have fun movie.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's just a half fun movie like any kid can watch it and not know Jack shit about Mario and that's fine because it doesn't need to be some Nurthing that like oh you won't enjoy it if you don't like Mario that would be dumb but I don't know what's zelda like
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like they should do it more for the fans because I don't feel like the casual movie person will go watch Zelda like they would Mario.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: Casual person who doesn't give a crap about Mario will go see the Mario movie.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: Zelda is going to be like not completely but more of the more of the big Zelda fans.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: If that makes sense.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: It does make a lot of sense and Zelda has a die hard fan base.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: happy are good for everybody kind of like they did for Mario I hope it's more of a movie for the fans if that makes it so that would be really Good Yeah, I think one of the the things that worries me for the legend is Zelda movie is the you know, just the actor they got for epona I just don't know if Sarah Jessica Parker was available at this time, so I think that they really need to make sure You said the actor for a poem.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like what the fuck you talking about and then I saw where you were going
- 32:05[SPEAKER_02]: I just wanted to throw somebody out there that'd make you laugh.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited for it.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm as Brandon would say, cautiously optimistic.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_02]: I do have that.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: I do have that.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm genuinely nervous for the movie until I see like I saw some of those screenshot or not screenshot the set leaks.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: And there it was just a picture so you can't really judge anything.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: But until I see like a legitimate trailer like
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm extremely nervous about it, bro.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think it could either be really good or absolute like dog shit.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_02]: So here's the problem is I think it looks either really, really good and that they, you know, all of our expectations as fans of the franchise, or it looks like a fan film, and that's where I'm really terrified.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_02]: I just, I just can't help but think it's going to look like a fan film.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: I know I'm wrong, first of all, like obviously I'm wrong, but I just hope that it looks as high quality as they can make it go.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_02]: Like I hope all the money that Nintendo makes from Pokemon, like they put that fucking money into the Zelda movie and like let's make it the best Zelda movie we can.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_02]: And I think the other thing that
- 33:07[SPEAKER_02]: makes me confident but still worried is like detective Pikachu.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_02]: I love that movie.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_02]: I can fucking watch it right now and be so happy.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_02]: However, I do think some of the Pokemon designs didn't translate over very well.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think they looked some of them look really gimmicky.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: Like even Charizard, I actually think it was so ugly.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_02]: Really ugly.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: But then you see Charmander and it's like, all right, cool, you know, you know, just those two examples, I think, uh,
- 33:33[SPEAKER_02]: There's another one I looked really ugly.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's me too, maybe, but there's someone else.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I need to look really bad.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_02]: I need to look bad.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, go ahead.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: how they're gonna do the movie because obviously with Mario and then you brought up the tech to Pikachu there was obviously there was comedy in it there was bits and pieces of funny laugh moments they added a bunch of like license tracks and it was very it was fun would Zelda do you think it's gonna be serious other than a couple of me I don't know I can't imagine like funny Zelda movie and then it plays fucking take on me
- 34:09[SPEAKER_02]: What an example.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think when we know that Sam Neill is going to be the king of high role first of all.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty sure that's what he's going to be.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think they just said he's in it.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: They don't know who yet though, right?
- 34:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I mean, who else would he play besides that?
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: The owl.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_02]: Because he just played a fox in a movie that actually sits on a tree and talks to a character.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: That would be fucking cool.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_02]: I just think.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_02]: They have to have one of the gimmicky characters from one of the games, whether it's Navi, whether it's not Fee from Skyward, but they're going to have to have something that kind of lets Link look goofy, because Link does goofy shit in the games anyways.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think it have some amount of like silliness, but I think for the most part compared to has to be serious.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: Compared to Mario and Detective Pikachu, it needs to be more serious.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: Little jokes here in
- 34:59[SPEAKER_01]: Totally serious movie a hundred percent of the way through, but I think we need like 85 percent serious and like 15 percent little yucky up jok-jok-jok-jok Yeah, and when I say serious too, I just mean that it's serious as in like
- 35:15[SPEAKER_02]: the characters and the movie understands the story it's telling.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't mean it has to be serious like so fucking deep that, you know, it's a philosopher over here.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_02]: I just- No, there can definitely be that they could do it without making it like tonally annoying.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think Link can be like, well, excuse me, please, princess.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: How about a smooch?
- 35:38[SPEAKER_01]: They could, honestly, do that as like a reference.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_02]: Shout out to Terminal Montage.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: He made so many good Monster Hunter World videos, ranch it up.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's it though.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_02]: Do you, or, you know what, they might announce where Lego sets?
- 35:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's going to happen.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Lego sets you.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_02]: I was reading a lot of comment sections.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of people who want Lego sets.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_02]: And I know I do too.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think they'll do small, like little gimmicky.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they'll do a actual Ocarina you could buy.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking about the game and watch they did five years ago.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_01]: They could do something in that rail more.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's a little little collector's item for somebody.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: Ocarina would be cool.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: Do a little Ocarina that.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: It has buttons and plays music and plays.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think they're also going to, I think they're also going to announce the Ukraine of Time figure line.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_02]: So obviously we got the tears of the kingdom link, Zelda, and Ganondorf.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's from Mantel.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_02]: I pre-order Zelda and link, but...
- 36:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're going to announce the locker in a time set.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like you kind of have to.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like it's crazy if you don't.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, can you give me anything?
- 36:48[SPEAKER_01]: I know I'm circling back.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'll move past this, I swear.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: But do you think there's a chance that the movie is going to be strictly Ocarina?
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: Or do you think it'll be a time thing?
- 36:56[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think the movie is Ocarina and time at all.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's rather the wild.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, God.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_01]: I hope they don't start with Breath of the Wild.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_01]: I hope they start with its own thing, like the first movie.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_02]: Our game, like pretty sure it's Breath of the Wild because of set pieces.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_02]: I thought the costume or the set pieces were he was in the green tune if he wasn't in the blue one well, I don't think they would I think even if they did read the while they wouldn't put them in the blue one I think you got to go green
- 37:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't got it anyways.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_01]: We'll move on.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_02]: We'll wait till the teaser and because we I mean Brian has not choice.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: He has to make his Tuesday and wins.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: They available for the concert.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to do a lot of tough, but Wednesday is going to be tough since we're going to show, but I already told Eric, I need you to do a podcast.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_01]: Do a podcast on the drive up there.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: All of us.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm cool with that.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_02]: But we're glad to have us for sure Tuesday.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're good though, right?
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm fine.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_01]: Have you ever recorded in a car with like multiple people?
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, me and Eric did once and it was pretty funny.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see regardless Tuesdays the big one anyways I think Wednesdays still pretty huge too.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: So That's our Zelda predictions.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_02]: I feel really really good about them I think regardless when it comes to the movie we'll just wait and see whatever teaser they show There's no way they don't show some kind of teaser on Tuesday I think it's a huge mistake if they don't or something.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know
- 38:12[SPEAKER_02]: they got to do something for the movie it's I feel like they've taken their sweet time with it to be honest with you which shouldn't be rushed I'm just saying I think it's time to show something now happening Wednesday at 7 a.m. Pacific Standard Time I believe is the oh go I got something major do I?
- 38:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we didn't talk about Aquarina at all.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what the fuck?
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_01]: I thought you were going to say, because we were done with predictions, we're going to talk about what we know we're getting.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: So I was like, so I'll talk to you next.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: I did.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think we got so fucking hung up on the movie that I even forgot about it.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_02]: And it's funny because we talked about the console.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, thank you, Brian.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so the Aquarina time is for sure going to be shown off here.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_02]: We already got the announcement of the game.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm assuming we get a full gameplay trailer demo.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: How do you feel about this?
- 39:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm fine with it.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how I feel about if it's going to be a like a faithful remake or more of a reimagining.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm honestly fine with either.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it was just straight up faithful with better visuals.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: That might be a little underwhelming, but the same time I wouldn't hate it.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to play Ocarina at time again.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: I've been wanting to play it like the past year, too, but these rumors have been going around for a long
- 39:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just excited regardless man.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like it's gonna look really good.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: There's a leak that monolith software is the game or company behind the game and I think that's extremely exciting.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_01]: I know we haven't seen Jack shit other than Link Lane in the bed, but visually that scene looked pretty damn good.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm so ready to learn more about this game and play the fuck out of it.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_02]: So the game is so iconic and so important, amazing and fun.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_02]: that if it is just a remake of the original game, I'm cool with that.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_02]: However, I do want to re-imagining.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_02]: Have you thought about the fact though that maybe they add modern mechanics to it?
- 40:13[SPEAKER_02]: As far as like climbing traversal like,
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: I would love if they took the old game made it with pretty year and added modern features.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's all I really want.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want it to be over the top different.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: I still at the end of the day.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_01]: I still want it to be occurring at the time.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to feel like something else.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's kind of why I ask even though they didn't add everything you can do in a current halo, but with campaign evolved, they added some modern mechanics to it, and some old heads kind of just can't just can't get down with it, even though there's like modifiers where you can turn it into the classic experience as much as possible.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: I was wondering where you sat with that, you know, obviously such a beloved game.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_02]: I do think Aquarine of Time deserves a reimagining, where maybe some dungeons get reworked or expanded in terms of size like the areas.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: I think Hyrule field 100% needs to get expanded.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like you just can't have that be a one-to-one, like that would be crazy.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's just me, I guess, but I just think this game
- 41:19[SPEAKER_02]: I will play it no matter what and I will love it because I truly think Ocarina time is that good.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_02]: But I think it cannot be a brilliant diamond shine or a brilliant diamond shining pearl.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you can do it.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: Well, just one visual and the teaser trailer alone.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: We already know it's not going to be a brilliant diamond shining pearl.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think there's any way they can genuinely fuck it up because it's such a great game.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: even if they added nothing and it was just a visual upgrade I wouldn't be mad I'd be fine like it's such a iconic and beautiful game that I don't think that you can do anything wrong because the game itself is great it's one of the best if not the best game ever.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I think critically speaking it might be the best game of all time.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm Korean the house at least.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_02]: part to electric boogaloo uh... yeah i mean no matter what i agree with you like i'm gonna play it i'm gonna love it i just hope that they do a reimagining i think it'd be really cool and i'm a huge fan of
- 42:23[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, I think it's only happened a halo of the game's I played, but people who add cut content that the developers couldn't add originally So it's all official, but now they've added it to the game because they have like the storage space They had development time and resources and also the tech to make it reality.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: I do kind of hope something like that happens Honestly because I'm a sucker for that kind of shit, but
- 42:46[SPEAKER_02]: Even though we did have the circle back and I'm really glad you did bring it up.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think no matter what, yeah, I got excited for awkward at the time.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think it's so cool that it's getting a remake.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: I think a lot of fans really deserve it because I know what it was like to seat 3D and then play it and be completely mind-blown because I played 64 a lot.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's going to release.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: literally my exact same thought i don't think they give two shits about gta they should not have a week before yeah i think that's the 12th of fire member right that was my prediction as well 16th so it'd be the top of the 19th gta area i think it's the 16th right i thought it was November 19th i could be wrong but well i'll look it up but yeah i think it's funny that both of us have the same
- 43:38[SPEAKER_02]: same opinion though.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it is the 19th.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: Good job.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_02]: So yes, it's the 19th.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_01]: So it would come out.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think Nintendo should give two fox about GTA.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: Now they do need to recognize that it is probably the biggest media release in the history of mankind so far.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_02]: but Ukraine of Time to Nintendo fans is easily the biggest media release of the entire company history.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's a huge deal.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_02]: So again, doing it a week before is genius because all of the people who have a switch to and have a PS5 or Xbox series that can play GTA 6, like they're gonna probably buy both games.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'm literally gonna buy both games.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm one of them.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_02]: the latest GTA extended look.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, you know, I, there's probably no way I cannot play this game of the day.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_01]: It did look pretty damn good.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: I did watch it.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it does look really good.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_01]: I've always been very casual with GTA.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not something I need to be play day one, but I'm happy for the fans that are really excited for that.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_01]: So that's really good on them.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I said the same thing on my last episode.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I was pretty hardcore when I was a kid because me and Eric played.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, Vice City in San Andreas.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_02]: And then GTA 4 was pretty big for us in high school because it was the first one with Xbox live and playing with friends.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_02]: But GTA 5 went pretty casual for the most part.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: And this game, I'm gonna be casual, but...
- 45:02[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just the part, I mean, the whole game looks stunning, but when you see them go underwater and they're fucking just fish everywhere, I'm like, all right, you got me, you got me.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_02]: I want to go to the Everglades so bad and just fuck with alligators.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I think Nintendo doesn't really need to care about it.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_02]: I think Nintendo actually releasing it.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_02]: uh... a week before is capitalizing on that excitement because those are going to be the two biggest games of the year and then ironically one of the other biggest games of the years already going to be out and that's the witcher three remastered because i didn't realize i mean i already knew people loved it but holy shit people love it but that's actually coming out in two weeks three weeks so um... i think uh... the only other game that's in the has to worry about it's gotzilla destroy all monsters melee remastered
- 45:49[SPEAKER_02]: I already pre-order the physical copy.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: When did come out?
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's on cart, right?
- 45:52[SPEAKER_01]: It comes.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's on GameCard, yeah.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's a physical release, and I bought the copy from Atari the day ago.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, Atari usually does complete on cart.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'll pick that up.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_02]: And then yeah, that actually releases the same week as Godzilla or GTA.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: And so like there's a small pocket of Godzilla fans who are like, we will beat GTA.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_02]: And so funny.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I love that.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's hilarious.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, so I think our great time actually combating GTA is a smart strategy.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: And I hope to God they commit to it because they're going to be perfectly fine.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: Like people will still buy a switch to for this game.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_02]: Like it is a console seller day and day out guaranteed.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, I think it's going to be great and I'm really excited to see it and talk about it on Tuesday for sure.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_02]: Moving on to then it's in no direct that is happening on Wednesday.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think that the rumors are going to be true and that they do announce Star Fox Adventures.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's a lot of people who think that this is happening that they are trying to revitalize Star Fox, they're committing, I mean, they put them in a goddamn movie dude.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he's not.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_02]: Star Fox adventure is the, the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game's the game
- 47:18[SPEAKER_02]: I also, I'm just going to say three things that two of them are rumors that the community things are going to happen.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_02]: One of them is a curved ball for me, but I think that Star Fox adventures remake gets announced.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_02]: That game deserves to be remade with modern mechanics.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's a fucking good game.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's so good.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think Fox actually gets added to Mario Kart World on next Wednesday.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_02]: And then I think, because I think it should happen.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm really sad if they don't do anything with his game.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think Star Fox gets an expansion, where they add more emissions to show that like, yeah, we're serious.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_02]: This game's gonna get us equal.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: They could.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: I really think they are gonna put a push on bringing Fox back.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they're gonna have them in this theatrical movie and then put out one remake and then leave them in the dust for another 5, 10 years.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_01]: I do think they're gonna keep pushing this
- 48:12[SPEAKER_02]: get we'll get some form of new or some new star flocks game definitely well i'd be in this direct or if it's gonna be announced and come out next year but yeah we're getting more of him for sure well i i religiously watched then into no e-shop for the first two months the game was out before split-tune raiders star flocks was like number one
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: on the eShop and people were excited it had been gone since it's been gone a long time so people were pumped and I wish you would have been something that other than another 64 remake because they've done that a million times it was still a damn good game I'm not going to lie so I can't be mad that he's back and he's on the switch too and he looks great so
- 48:59[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I think what I agree with you though.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_02]: I got wish it wasn't just like a 64 remake.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's a 64 or 3DS remake because it has the challenge mode and shit.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_02]: I do agree with you 100%.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think the thing that got it over the edge for me to be like, this was a really good release.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_02]: It was not only the online multiplayer, which again, I'm hoping they had a ranked mode on Wednesday, because I will fucking play this shit out of it.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 49:20[SPEAKER_02]: the cutscenes the cutscenes just added so much to the characters in the game in my opinion just like just to see them in action the some of the the writing could have been a little bit better but graphically the game is fucking gorgeous just gorgeous so I act with every big game we continue to get for the switch to it just makes me so excited for this era man there's there was a couple years towards the end of the switch where it was like
- 49:48[SPEAKER_01]: Holy fuck, like we were dying because they couldn't really continue to do much with how much power the original switch had so I'm so glad we're finally here and getting new big games, you know what I mean?
- 49:59[SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't agree with you more.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think a Splatoon Raiders looks really good, my cousin Trevor.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: He's like 20 hours into it.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_02]: He thinks it's a really really good game.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_02]: He said it reminds of obviously Splatoon of course, but also ratchet and clank a lot.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, OK, well, that's cool.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_02]: Because me and Jared used to play that on his PS2.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_02]: So like, that was kind of really cool to hear as like a feedback.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think I'm just going to wait for it to maybe go on like a 10% sale or something.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_02]: I really want to play it, but I've never played a Splatoon game.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen a lot of game play.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_02]: I've watched a lot of reviews.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_02]: The game does look solid.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_02]: I just, I don't know if I'd ever get around to.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_01]: I've never been a Splatoon guy, but I do want to pick up Raiders.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_01]: I was contemplating getting it today, but I think that's the game.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't need to play like, oh my god, I need to play right now.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_01]: I will.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to hope that there's some sort of black for a day sale or something or some sort of sale.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think I would buy it for like,
- 50:52[SPEAKER_01]: 35 or 40.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_02]: And I just want to play this counterman really really good things what what I do.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_02]: I said I might just use my employee discount on it right I use yours all the time.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_02]: Well I I told you I'm working there again right.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_02]: no.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I got a seasonal gig there.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 51:11[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
- 51:12[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk more about that later.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: I can't believe that book.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_02]: Good for you.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I got to put money in my savings.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_02]: Even I was like, I could get Splatoon Raiders with a discount.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's beside any point.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_01]: We're reporting out of Alaska.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_02]: Anyways, no, I actually agree.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_02]: It was like, I wanted to buy it a few weeks ago.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I was just like, I don't know when I get around to it.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_02]: The issue I find because
- 51:36[SPEAKER_02]: is like if I wait till next year, cause obviously there's gonna be like some downtime, I actually don't think that there's gonna be downtime.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think Nintendo's just gonna keep going, dude.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_02]: I think that just gonna keep bringing shit back, keep making like these really high quality games.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_02]: The Switch 2, I think today is currently not performing at the same rate, the Switch 1 was.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, definitely game wise, but I think that Ukraine at the time, the rest of this year, this holiday season, I think is going to say a lot.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, the price hike is a little bit of a bummer, but I don't think Nintendo stops next year.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think we get wins and waves.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get probably the pre-DC Romaria, which is going to be announced on Wednesday.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_02]: I just think, uh, they're just going to keep going.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, how do you feel about that?
- 52:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, the switch to sales have slowed down, but I think it's just a hard time in general for video games.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's doing good.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_01]: We're having nearly every single month an exclusive game and compared to other companies getting their own exclusives like every couple months.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think Nintendo's pumping out.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: Good shit.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: They're pumping out good games.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to continue to get new games.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I think it's exciting time to being in Tendofan and even though there's there's certain little things I'm not an in Tendof glaze or I love them, but there's things they don't do right, but they're looking pretty damn good compared to the others right now Yeah, I agree.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think we're the first people to talk shit on them.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_02]: I don't I don't think we glaze too hard I think I think like you just said right there at the end just right now
- 53:14[SPEAKER_02]: They look better than the other two.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_02]: They look significantly better than PlayStation and Xbox right now.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_02]: Don't anything Xbox has going on?
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: We can do a whole damn podcast on Sony right now.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_01]: I can't believe I cannot believe.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited to see where all of the skills because they continue to keep shooting themselves in the foot and it's kind of mind boggling.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_02]: Well, dude, Xbox, I'll be very quick.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_02]: But Xbox just shot themselves in the foot after getting the good graces of the physical
- 53:43[SPEAKER_02]: Right, I heard about the whole digital thing and I heard it was a good thing, but I didn't know that there was something recently they got backlash on oh, yeah, well, they're going to if they have it yet because it started on Friday, but
- 53:54[SPEAKER_02]: They are limiting the ex-cloud gaming hours that are tied to your game pass to 15 hours for the highest tier.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_02]: And what's funny about them saying that 4% of the people that use ex-cloud are 4% of game pass users.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_02]: Well, based off some rough numbers that came out, I think this year or last year, that 4% is still a million plus people, by the way.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that even if a hundred thousand of that million people only play 20 plus hours a week or more, that's still a gigantic install base of fans who this might be their only way into Xbox, which you so like we're so happy to tell where everywhere you can play Xbox anywhere.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_02]: I just think it's such a backwards aspect move.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_02]: I think it should be 50 hours for the top tier 25 for the military and then 15 for the bottom.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know like you
- 54:45[SPEAKER_02]: I understand where they're coming from, but I don't at the same time.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's such a backwards move, especially when you just sit now and say, you can put your physical copy into your console, you get a digital version of it.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_02]: What's that?
- 54:56[SPEAKER_02]: Your friend wants it and you're done with it.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_02]: You can actually take that digital copy, put it back on the disc, and then it give it to them, and then they get it.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like that is one of the coolest things ever done in gaming history when it comes to like, just physical to digital media.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_02]: And just...
- 55:11[SPEAKER_02]: I can't understand it.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, we're not Nintendo Blazers.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's just Nintendo's doing the right things at this current moment.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_01]: They're doing better things.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_01]: There's things they're not doing right, but the other one's the right, you're right.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_01]: So hard lately and doing things that are really, really bad for gaming as a whole, but it's making Nintendo look good in Nintendo.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think like the best.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_02]: They fuck up left and right, but yeah, it's just right now.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_02]: They're not fucking up enough to
- 55:35[SPEAKER_02]: to overshadow the other two because those two are doing it all the work for them.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to stand Xbox 2 on but I am curious about the how much of video games in general use cloud gaming, how big is cloud gaming because I've only done it a little bit.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_02]: Um, well, first of all, the cloud gaming, it depends on the internet you have wherever you're at.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I know.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the thing is, but like, how many games rely on it?
- 56:02[SPEAKER_02]: Well, no games rely on it, but it is is a feature to play over like 600 plus games in the cloud if you want.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_02]: So if you want to, let's just say I'm playing Gears of War E Day next month and I just want to go to bed and like maybe finish a mission or just play like a round of hoard blitz or it's a really fast game mode, but you're still playing hoard, how can I can go to bed and play it?
- 56:22[SPEAKER_01]: That is so anti-consumer like why the fuck?
- 56:25[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's extremely anti-consumer.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think what's funny about it though is like I just bricked my switch and I can play the cloud on it and it's like,
- 56:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like the cloud sick dude, like it, if you're on a good internet, it runs really well and it looks beautiful.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's just a really unfortunate thing.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I think they really stick to their guns on this.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like there's no way the 15 hours is ridiculous.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_02]: Do at least at the very least the top two should be 30.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I heard a little bit about this, but I don't know the specifics like you do probably.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_01]: But I thought I heard that the lowest tier was like,
- 56:59[SPEAKER_01]: five hours and is that a week or is that it's five hours a month, 10 hours a month, 15 hours a month.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's a big, that's like what?
- 57:08[SPEAKER_01]: So it tells you can't play your Xbox that you spent $8,900 on?
- 57:10[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you can't play it on your phone.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_02]: The cloud gaming is just like on your phone and stuff.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_02]: The Xbox doesn't use the cloud.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it does use the cloud, but you don't need the cloud for it.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's still, putting it on something like that is still ridiculous.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_02]: Regardless, in fact, do you bring it up on the console actually makes it even more stupid?
- 57:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'm thinking this as like a handheld person, people who are playing on their phones, people who are playing on their TVs or people like me who play on a brick switch when they want.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't even thinking about the fact that you can play the cloud on the console, but you're right.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_02]: If a game is on game pass, I can play it on the cloud on my console before I decide if I want to install it.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, it's a pretty big deal, man.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's super anti-consumer.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna have to, I think, with Sony, they're gonna stick their guns with this whole physical thing, but with that with Xbox, I think they might make some changes because I think even they're gonna be like, yeah, like, people aren't happy about this.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_01]: We could probably tweak it a little bit.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_02]: But again, I agree with you.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_02]: We'll probably, we probably will do an episode in a few weeks about like the state of gaming between the three giants and anything else that kind of comes up, because it's gonna probably be stuff that comes up in three weeks that are definitely worth kind of like circling back on.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_02]: But the downfall of PlayStation in terms of good faith with its consumers is definitely something that needs to be its episode on its own, even with all the other stuff.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_02]: But we'll dive into Nintendo Direct and kind of call it at that.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_02]: I also think we get switch to versions of,
- 58:39[SPEAKER_02]: Super Smash Bros.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's gonna happen and I also think that they are just gonna probably keep this which two version or just updates coming So I still think like 3D Mario World and Bowser's Fury probably gets like another upgrade.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know though I think Smash Bros is a definite though
- 58:58[SPEAKER_01]: I can only see them doing smash if they're working on a new one and it's very, very, very far out from being ready.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_01]: They could just do a switch to version of ultimate just to hold everybody over.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what else they could do with the franchise to be honest.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know where else to go.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_02]: Why would they say should they even make another one?
- 59:14[SPEAKER_02]: Why would they?
- 59:15[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't even make another.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_01]: They're not just going to stop.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_01]: They're not just going to stop.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_01]: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_01]: Amazing.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it didn't what you couldn't top it, but they made world you watch your fucking horish mouth.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_01]: Mario Kart.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_01]: Well, are you prefer world or are you crazy?
- 59:29[SPEAKER_02]: No, I prefer more Mario Kart entries or as I think a fighting game like Smash Brothers, you can just keep it going at this point.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think ultimate for a fighting game with Nintendo characters was so good that you could just keep updating it generationally.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 59:48[SPEAKER_02]: your same argument could go towards Mario Kart.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_02]: I just think that Mario Kart world is that forza game I was telling you about for so many years.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like they're gonna make a 3D fighter of Super Smash Bros. where you have the whole stage to fight on instead of just being a 2D fighter.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_02]: They're never gonna do that.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_02]: People would hate it.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_02]: So that's pretty much it.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_02]: like their their venture mode has already been expanded.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's the only thing you can really do more characters, more stages and more campaigns.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, why even make a new game for that?
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I can milk it as long as possible.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_01]: We'll commit.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_01]: They could.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I do think they will.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_01]: But at some point they're going to have to put out another game.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_01]: They can't that can't be the last one.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_02]: It won't be the last one because it's so it's such a popular franchise.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_02]: Great for tournaments and stuff.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_02]: very dedicated fan base.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_02]: My two friends from high school will and air it have like 2,000 hours on it.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how, but they do.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, just because, well, I hate that you can't use the D-pad to fight.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's just me though.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I would like a switch to version selfishly because I think it would be cool to get a switch to version, because no matter what, like you just said a little bit ago, if there is another entry that they're going to announce, it's probably like three years away, two and a half at that the shortest I would say, I doubt it would be next year, what's his face?
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Sakurai literally talks about how he's physically and mentally exhausted from pouring so much of his creativity with him and his dev team into these games.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if one of his stipulations, he's like, I'll do another smash.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let me do my Kirby Air Riders first, because that's something he's near and dear to.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_01]: He loves Kirby and your Air Riders.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I don't know.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_02]: I think it'd be cool if we just, for the time being on a switch to version that had the added more guest characters that weren't Nintendo.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_02]: And then, um, probably some NSO announcements.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_02]: If it's not Twilight Princess this week, I do hope Pokemon call CM or Star Fox adventures for NSO gets announced.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think it's time that we get a new system on NSO or they usually do it in the September Directs rather than the early year ones?
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I don't think we're getting DS, I think DS has to be, I don't know how they're going to do DS, but I don't think they're going to, they could easily put them on both screens and you press a button to swap the screens, but I don't think that's something Nintendo liked it would like to do.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think they want to replicate it as authentic as possible.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know if they would do a screen attachment or you, you put this tablet sideways
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_01]: any times I don't know how they would pull off the I don't think that's going to happen.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_02]: Ever?
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think we will happen.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_02]: We can do easily.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that would probably be the next console then, but I kind of hope not.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, I fucked that.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even want to have an answer to the console.
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_02]: They haven't even given us enough gamecube.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like we're still getting a fucking super Nintendo shit.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like we have gotten like three or four gamecube games this year.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_02]: And like, God knows how many game-way colors, super Nintendo games, still, no new in 64.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think we're only missing in a couple of games anyways.
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, fuck you.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_02]: I want GameCube.
- 1:03:17[SPEAKER_02]: We need more GameCube games.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_02]: They need to go fucking a little bit heavier on those releases before we add another card.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_01]: Regardless, we're not gonna get...
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_01]: more than one a month if that but they're not even going to do one a month we're going to get them once every other month if we're lucky for game cube that's the way they do it that's unfortunately they like the drip feed it makes sense business because they want people to stay subscribed they want people to have this service but it sucks but that I think we're going to get one game cube every now and then
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's the problem.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_02]: I think that argument kind of like contradicts itself because you could still do it once a month like you did say but they're not doing it unfortunately, which isn't your fault.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I think they could do once a month and still have those people keeping their subscriptions.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, it probably incentivize people more to keep them if they were just, you know, that hard on gamecube.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm pretty sure most people that have that GameCube expansion aren't tripping about, you know, what's coming out next month.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like their Nintendo fans are going to have it regardless.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_02]: I just think it would be smarter if they did once a month.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_02]: Because for a while, Nintendo 64 was kind of once a month.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_02]: It was actually or once every other month.
- 1:04:30[SPEAKER_02]: There was pretty consistent.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_01]: But that more than the M rated NSO,
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_01]: App they have because what do we have like three games on there like I think it's like two or three games They could add conquer I would love that, but I don't know if they would I would love conquer on there though
- 1:04:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm I'm curious to see what they do.
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think, uh, I think the Pokemon Ruby Sapphire Emerald is still going to happen, but that would be announced in an intended direct or a Pokemon based, no, I mean, fire readily free and we're in Pokemon Day.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_01]: That was just its own post.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't in a direct.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_01]: It was just a social media post, wasn't it?
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think it was an internet direct.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_01]: No, I thought it was.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_01]: I remember they popped up on the e-shop before it was even announced, and I think they scrambled because it popped up and that's what it was.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_01]: Then they put an announcement on social media, and I think a couple days later it was either a director or a director or a director, and they just released them or something.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I think they're supposed to be a part of the director presents, but they got a couple of years where we did not get any Pokemon information and tend to direct, but it's been happening more recently.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I think we could definitely see Pokemon here.
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_01]: We could see, yeah, they're going to show like Coco Pia's.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the Pogo Pia's second DLC, which is kind of lame.
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's only like cosmetics for your Pokemon, which is whatever.
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you pay attention to leaks at all.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_01]: Have you heard about the game ratings board leak for a new Nintendo game a few months ago?
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_02]: Which one?
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_01]: Metroid Revenous.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, now I think that's about a 90% chance that that's gonna be shown because this wasn't like, just some guy talking out of his ass.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_01]: This was literally a ratings board leak and the game is already rated.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I do think we're gonna see that.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_01]: They could do a little little tiny anniversary spot for Metroid.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they will, but I'm sure they have.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_01]: They want to kit the bad taste out of people's mouth after print for, so they could put to and they could put to on NSO announced raveness and do a couple other little things.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, we'll see what you think about any of those.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I really hated print for.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I didn't go back.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think it I think it looks great.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_02]: I just think the fact that like Sam is can't parry with like her arms or armor or like her gun like just I don't know.
- 1:07:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think the game is too barbaric like that game for modern visuals didn't have modern mechanics and it pisses me off.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_01]: I think it just had such a bad
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_01]: like cycle when they were making it and it had what I can't think of the word.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_01]: When they were making they had so many issues left and right and it was hopping around between different companies working on it and it got to the point where it's like we already freaking announced this game we have to put it out and the end product was not up to the other prime games and other prime series and it wasn't good but they announced it already so it had to come out pretty much.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_02]: Metroid Prime 4 is how people see Metroid Prime 4 for me is how people see like Halo Infinite and Halo campaign of all like I like them
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_02]: because I'm just such a diehard Halo fan and it tickled the edge for the right things for me.
- 1:07:54[SPEAKER_02]: But those games had ridiculous development issues.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean Halo Infinite, most of what could have been was basically scrapped and what could have been was fucking badass.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_02]: So like I get it, Metroid Prime 4 went through development hell.
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_02]: It went through so many revisions, but like you said, they announced it, like they had to commit.
- 1:08:13[SPEAKER_02]: And that's, so yeah, I finally understand how people see like the Halo games.
- 1:08:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like Metroid Prime 4, I think it looks so cool.
- 1:08:19[SPEAKER_02]: and that's the end of it.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even care.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_02]: I will never finish it.
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_01]: There's a series that they're really trying to push and get in the limelight as far as their brand in Tendo.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_01]: So I think they're going to try to put more games and more Metroid stuff out there because they want to watch that taste of Prime 4 out of everybody's mouths.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think for sure we're getting ravenous though.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I wish they would just look at Metroid Prime Hunters and just fucking go, let's make that it and do way better than Metroid Pinball on the Switch 2.
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's all we need.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they need an online component to it, like Hunters did.
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_02]: They need to make a great campaign, because I like Hunters campaign a lot.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, yeah, that's the only Metroid game I've ever beaten.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_02]: And I fucking loved it.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_02]: I loved every second of it, like I was such a good game.
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_01]: to just go from primary mastered, which was absolutely beautiful remastered.
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_02]: Never finished that, but I should have had just it was absolutely incredible.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_01]: And the switch to boost mode, like made it look even better to go to four.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like the, yeah, I would have hurt, man.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_01]: Especially a game I waited like 17 years for.
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, besides all the typical, you know, Japanese JRPGs and
- 1:09:37[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, yeah, I can't really predict anything else besides Mario Kart world DLC.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_01]: I noticed that we've done on every Nintendo prediction podcast is we absolutely load it.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_01]: All these Nintendo like we load it.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_01]: And then after we watch it, there's like maybe really too big Nintendo maybe two or three big Nintendo ones and the rest of it is just filler.
- 1:10:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm trying to really only have two or three predictions because every other time we
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to happen.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_01]: We've already done it.
- 1:10:08[SPEAKER_02]: We've already done it now.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:10:10[SPEAKER_02]: No, I already felt that way when I was done talking.
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_02]: And then when you added Metroid and I'm like, we've added like four directs worth of Nintendo IPs into one.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_02]: You're right.
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_02]: We do it every single time.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to be able, so that's good.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_02]: I talked about Pokemon, I talked about Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Switch 2 versions, NSO, Metroid, Star Fox.
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think we're going to get a warrior land game.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's time.
- 1:10:36[SPEAKER_01]: You fuck off.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think it is.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_01]: That's another one that's been going around for a while.
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's another one that people have been hearing rumblings of.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_01]: But after that, I'm not doing any more predictions because that's just setting yourself up for failure.
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_02]: every single time.
- 1:10:53[SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't agree more.
- 1:10:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's pretty much it.
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_01]: No, we we had Donkey Kong recently.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's not getting anything.
- 1:11:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you might do a couple little Pokemon things nothing crazy.
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they might do some expansions for like, like I said, I think Star Fox deserve some kind of DLC or content updates think Mario Kart world is definitely overdue for some kind of DLC and it could be characters and just a couple more tracks they literally don't have to get all crazy with it.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_02]: Animal crossing switch to something super smash.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_01]: Link could please let a new animal cross isn't an in development.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm already filling it up too much.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna close the show with announcing GTA six is coming to switch to
- 1:11:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, to run a two frames for a second.
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and Lucy has asked doesn't jiggle.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_02]: And what's the point?
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_02]: What is life?
- 1:11:48[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, man, that's pretty much it for me.
- 1:11:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, any more predictions and we're just we're going to fail miserably.
- 1:11:53[SPEAKER_02]: Like I was, you know, in the past, it's more of like what we want.
- 1:11:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, obviously I want everything I talked about and everything that you talk about.
- 1:12:01[SPEAKER_02]: But I was really trying to aim for like very realistic And so I want to see where I land to kind of track, but yeah, I think we've already overloaded it beyond the leaf as far as my legitimate predictions I'm just I have to I don't want to like overblow it.
- 1:12:16[SPEAKER_01]: I've met her to ravenous because we had that like literal frickin fuckin leak of it Radiance board that's good now, so I think and then I'm just gonna do a wild card warrior land other than that
- 1:12:29[SPEAKER_02]: I like it.
- 1:12:30[SPEAKER_02]: I like it.
- 1:12:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
- 1:12:31[SPEAKER_02]: Then I'll leave you to those, too, then, because I think I said, like, four or five.
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_02]: So, um, but yeah, we'll definitely see what happens.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to record a podcast on Tuesday after work, following the Legend of Zelda Direct to talk about everything announced in there.
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_02]: whether we were right about anything specifically, or just how excited we are, or maybe even disappointed.
- 1:12:52[SPEAKER_02]: Who knows?
- 1:12:53[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, if Twilight Princess isn't having to be disappointed, and then Nintendo direct if we can do it on Wednesday, we will, if we can't, then we'll maybe try to do it Thursday or something.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, so please stay tuned to all future episodes regarding all this Nintendo craziness because there's a lot.
