The Edmonton Oilers made seismic moves on free agency day, trading Darnell Nurse to San Jose for cap relief and a fresh start — ending an 11-year era with the team’s Cup-contending core. In return, they acquired defensemen Ryan Shea and Shakir Mukhamadullin, plus goalies Frederik Andersen and Devon Levi, signing Shea to a five-year, $20M deal and adding depth with young talent.
