Latest / The Paul Barron Crypto Show / Japan Lowers XRP Taxes!🔥USA Next?🚨
Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: A lot of news to cover on and breaking within
- 0:09Speaker 1: Japan and its relationship to XRP and why Ripple could
- 0:13Speaker 1: be in the perfect position both with Japan and the
- 0:16Speaker 1: United States. Will break it down for you today. My
- 0:18Speaker 1: name is Paul Bara. Welcome back in the tech path.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I want to thank our sponsor and that is Tangum.
- 0:21Speaker 1: This is a great place for you guys to get
- 0:23Speaker 1: into self custody. Get your cards and these are like
- 0:26Speaker 1: little credit cards that will work with your phone. Use

- 0:30Speaker 1: additional discount to get you on your self custody journey,
- 0:32Speaker 1: which I recommend everybody should have some of their tokens
- 0:36Speaker 1: on self custody. Let's go to the headline today, Japan's
- 0:38Speaker 1: ruling party proposes capping a crypto tax at twenty percent
- 0:44Speaker 1: and this would be matching stocks. Now a couple of
- 0:46Speaker 1: points within the article. This is the Democratic mart Party
- 0:49Speaker 1: there seeking to categorize cryptocurrency under this new Financial Instruments
- 0:53Speaker 1: Exchange Act. Basically, it would apply this similar to what
- 0:56Speaker 1: they do to securities and it currently right now attacks
- 1:00Speaker 1: is crypto up to fifty five percent on gains. So
- 1:03Speaker 1: this is a huge move for crypto in Japan. With
- 1:08Speaker 1: all the things that are happening further down in the article,
- 1:11Speaker 1: this is going to be like a new asset class
- 1:13Speaker 1: under the Financial Instrument Exchange Act. Huge for the opportunity.
- 1:18Speaker 1: But when you look at this, you have to look
- 1:20Speaker 1: at some of the projects and some of the companies
- 1:23Speaker 1: that are integrated into the Japanese ecosystem and economy. And
- 1:27Speaker 1: one of them, of course is none of the next RP.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Here's Watanabi. This is the guy who leads up Sonium,
- 1:34Speaker 1: which is one of the chains that drives I think
- 1:37Speaker 1: going to be one of the chains that drives growth
- 1:39Speaker 1: in Japan, and he talked about it is I'm one
- 1:41Speaker 1: hundred percent sure that more Japanese people are going to
- 1:44Speaker 1: come on chain now, and I would agree now it's
- 1:46Speaker 1: equal to stock investing they're in Japan in terms of
- 1:50Speaker 1: capital gains. This will be a big deal. Is this
- 1:53Speaker 1: is soda talking about the United States versus Japan.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Take a look, ehui compare.
- 1:59Speaker 3: I think a US is very good at making something
- 2:02Speaker 3: from zero to one, and I think Asian country like
- 2:04Speaker 3: a Japan, really good at commosialization. But let's say cut
- 2:09Speaker 3: company manufacturing companies, heavy conduct that company are really good
- 2:13Speaker 3: at commosialization. I think we wously in the commosialization era,
- 2:17Speaker 3: and that's why I think WEC in Asia Ali British.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Another thing is probably regulation. US is already winning in
- 2:25Speaker 3: a way with two, so they don't have a much
- 2:27Speaker 3: incentive to push Wavercy forward. But let's say Japan, we
- 2:31Speaker 3: don't have a many two company grow go away with
- 2:33Speaker 3: two companies, So I think governments see this as an opportunity.
- 2:37Speaker 4: I would agree.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I think that he is right. I mean, Japan is
- 2:41Speaker 1: very good at commercialization of some of these markets, and
- 2:44Speaker 1: right now it seems to be a little bit of
- 2:45Speaker 1: a race. I don't know if Trump knows this or not,
- 2:48Speaker 1: but there are some things that are being done in
- 2:51Speaker 1: Japan to help avoid some of these terrors. So one
- 2:54Speaker 1: of the things that you look at is Trump is
- 2:56Speaker 1: claiming that Japan is guiding the yen lower at the
- 3:00Speaker 1: hint of these fresh tariffs, and that could happen, especially
- 3:03Speaker 1: around how the bond architecture is done. We've seen this
- 3:06Speaker 1: with Germany as they go in and printing more bonds,
- 3:09Speaker 1: getting into more defense spending. This could flow into a
- 3:13Speaker 1: situation with Japan. If you look at just an example
- 3:16Speaker 1: of this, China's tariffs could get reversed quickly not happening,
- 3:21Speaker 1: or the yen is set to fall sharply. So I
- 3:25Speaker 1: guess it's kind of a chicken before the egg situation.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Do the tariffs back off, do they hold the yen
- 3:31Speaker 1: or do they initially push the end down to help
- 3:34Speaker 1: adjust for these tariffs coming in. So there's a lot
- 3:37Speaker 1: of global monetary system manipulation. I won't call them manipulation,
- 3:42Speaker 1: but games being played that you guys know. I want
- 3:45Speaker 1: to jump over to eleanor Tarratt and she gave the
- 3:48Speaker 1: list out here. These are some additional confirmations for tomorrow's
- 3:51Speaker 1: White House Crypto summit. A couple of the big names.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Of course Brad garling House will be there from Ripple,
- 3:57Speaker 1: but others there's Vlad from Robin Hood. Kracken is going
- 4:02Speaker 1: to be there, coin Base of course, Brian Armstrong, chain
- 4:04Speaker 1: Link is going to be there, World Liberty FI will
- 4:07Speaker 1: be there, and then David Bailey coming in from Bitcoin Magazine. Well,
- 4:11Speaker 1: the Bitcoin Maxis have definitely worked their way in on
- 4:15Speaker 1: this one. That was missing though, was Charles Hoskinson. I
- 4:19Speaker 1: mean Ada was mentioned the other day by the President.
- 4:23Speaker 1: So I'm kind of curious as to why what was
- 4:26Speaker 1: going on. So we had to go dig a clip
- 4:27Speaker 1: up here of Charles take a look.
- 4:29Speaker 5: The latest event is this interesting little get together at
- 4:32Speaker 5: the White House March seventh. We did not get an
- 4:35Speaker 5: invitation on Monday. We did not get an invitation on Tuesday.
- 4:39Speaker 5: We did not get an invitation today. So I'm going
- 4:42Speaker 5: to operate under the assumption I have not been invited
- 4:44Speaker 5: to go to this gathering. What is an American cryptocurrency? Exactly?
- 4:49Speaker 5: Is it h bar? You can make an argument for it.
- 4:51Speaker 5: Is it polka dot? You make an argument for it,
- 4:54Speaker 5: is it ethereum? But don't think for a moment. Then
- 4:57Speaker 5: when I wake up, I say, Cardono is for America.
- 5:01Speaker 5: So I had travel plans to go to Japan. Supposed
- 5:04Speaker 5: to get on a plane here in a little bit
- 5:06Speaker 5: and I will be Friday the seventh in Japan. I've
- 5:09Speaker 5: got operator of the assumption that I'm going to this event,
- 5:12Speaker 5: especially after this video, and that's okay. But by the way,
- 5:15Speaker 5: we're certainly going to be talking to regulators in Japan.
- 5:18Speaker 5: And thank you to the Japanese community for being the
- 5:20Speaker 5: heart and soul of the beginnings of Cardinal. You mean
- 5:23Speaker 5: a lot to me, and there's frankly speaking nowhere, I'd
- 5:26Speaker 5: rather be right now than there.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Okay, well, I swear to you say that behind with
- 5:35Speaker 1: the American flag, and remember that I anticipate that we're
- 5:39Speaker 1: going to have American Crypto have some sort of special
- 5:43Speaker 1: carve out that I think is going to come. So
- 5:45Speaker 1: I hope that that doesn't turn bad for the Cardinal community.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Jumping over to Japan, you have to think about SBI.
- 5:54Speaker 1: SBI is one of the biggest companies out there, and
- 5:57Speaker 1: one of the reasons why is their commitment and has
- 6:00Speaker 1: been behind Ripple and they continue to grow there. They
- 6:04Speaker 1: currently hold nine percent share based on their actual holdings
- 6:08Speaker 1: of XRP. Their stockholders are saying, hey, don't sell the XRP.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Our stock will go down. We need to get more.
- 6:15Speaker 1: So the stock continues to rise. So a lot happening
- 6:19Speaker 1: right there. And then if you look at their CEO,
- 6:21Speaker 1: every bank of Japan will use Ripples XARP by twenty
- 6:24Speaker 1: twenty five. Now I don't know if they're referencing end
- 6:27Speaker 1: of twenty twenty five or what was, but this was
- 6:29Speaker 1: a big headline that they've been touting for quite some time.
- 6:33Speaker 1: All right, So this fintech summit happened just the other
- 6:36Speaker 1: day and you can take a look at some of
- 6:38Speaker 1: the speakers here. One of the key speakers is a
- 6:40Speaker 1: digital minister who by chance had met with Brad garling
- 6:45Speaker 1: House right there, if you take a look, met in Tokyo.
- 6:47Speaker 1: This was their leaders are committed to advancing crypto and
- 6:51Speaker 1: blockchain technology. So you can see there is clear connection
- 6:55Speaker 1: of what's happening within the Japanese regulators and also with
- 6:59Speaker 1: what's going going on with Ripple in general. I want
- 7:02Speaker 1: to also go over to this right here because this
- 7:04Speaker 1: is another thing that's happening, and this is Sony's bank
- 7:06Speaker 1: wallet is now available on Apple pay. This is where
- 7:10Speaker 1: they connected the Sony bank wallet basically over to PlayStation
- 7:13Speaker 1: for rewards, et cetera. All Right, so I've got a
- 7:16Speaker 1: clip here of Sony winning some awards around both the
- 7:20Speaker 1: digital and also blockchain Bank of the Year. Take a
- 7:23Speaker 1: look award, folks, Outstanding Blockchain Initiative, buy a retail bank.
- 7:30Speaker 4: Please mulk the mowina Sony.
- 7:38Speaker 3: It's it's fun quoteated. Thank you, very magical colas.
- 7:48Speaker 2: I like the best digital man Japan.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Sony bank beside Chimichi, congratulations.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Books.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Again, when you look at some of the the data,
- 8:00Speaker 1: this is of course Ethlair two and you can kind
- 8:03Speaker 1: of see one of the fastest growing right there is
- 8:05Speaker 1: Sonium as an EVM. So a couple of things to
- 8:08Speaker 1: kind of also watch is Sony themselves. This has been
- 8:12Speaker 1: pretty much up and to the right recently, I think
- 8:15Speaker 1: because of what we've seen so far in terms of
- 8:17Speaker 1: their success. Remember that Sonium, their main netle is live.
- 8:21Speaker 1: This is on optimism. Also, when you look at Sonium's
- 8:25Speaker 1: just a transaction count, you can kind of see them
- 8:27Speaker 1: actually going over that of the native blockchain. So this
- 8:31Speaker 1: again very good signs for all of this. All right,
- 8:34Speaker 1: let's go over to another article. This was from you
- 8:36Speaker 1: today and it's talking about Ripple meeting with the Japanese
- 8:39Speaker 1: officials and a couple of points within this. This is
- 8:41Speaker 1: back in September, but if you look further in here,
- 8:44Speaker 1: this is where they were meeting specifically with Tyra right there,
- 8:49Speaker 1: so you can kind of see that this has been
- 8:51Speaker 1: planned for some time and they were talking about a project.
- 8:54Speaker 1: If you further on down in the article, this program
- 8:57Speaker 1: will continues will be titled projects, so it's going to
- 9:01Speaker 1: be run by Progmat data chain token. One other note
- 9:06Speaker 1: is toyotization these digital bonds, which is basically going to
- 9:09Speaker 1: be a security token target and retail investors, and where
- 9:13Speaker 1: they're doing this is on As you can see, the
- 9:16Speaker 1: token is ised platform Progmat founded by MUFG. So some
- 9:20Speaker 1: interesting connections here starting to play out, and then you
- 9:23Speaker 1: look at some of the details around this bond and
- 9:26Speaker 1: you'll understand. Take a look.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Tourna finance corporation veiled plans to issue one billion yen,
- 9:32Speaker 2: which is equivalent to six points seven million dollars in
- 9:35Speaker 2: digital bonds. A unique feature is that investors will receive
- 9:38Speaker 2: additional reverse in totas in money ranging from one thousand
- 9:42Speaker 2: to ten thousand yen based on the bridges amount. TOTA
- 9:45Speaker 2: will have real time investor data access, allowing for future
- 9:48Speaker 2: engagement strategies somelike traditional bonds, which require minimum investment one
- 9:53Speaker 2: billion yen, blot chain based on digital bonds and reduced
- 9:56Speaker 2: costs enabling broader participation from retail investuit. Toyota aims to
- 10:01Speaker 2: strengthen relationships with them besses and explore more box chain
- 10:04Speaker 2: powered financial instruments, possibly setting a trend for other corporations
- 10:08Speaker 2: in Japac. The FSA is now conducting closed door discussions
- 10:12Speaker 2: with experts and the plans to announce policy direction by
- 10:15Speaker 2: June twenty twenty five.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Progmat just shows you the cross chain transfers between multiple blockchains.
- 10:20Speaker 1: This again tokey involved. So when you look at those
- 10:23Speaker 1: discussions that Garland House was having, what it basically does
- 10:27Speaker 1: is tries to connect what the blockchain layer is going
- 10:31Speaker 1: to be Sonium and how this is all going to
- 10:34Speaker 1: work with bank intersection. And then you go to this
- 10:37Speaker 1: next chart right here. This of course is where we
- 10:39Speaker 1: always see Swift. Everybody understands how Swift works. If you don't,
- 10:43Speaker 1: when you're moving money around between countries and major companies,
- 10:48Speaker 1: Swift is one of the major platforms that's being used.
- 10:50Speaker 1: This is going to be replaced by Ripple, and that
- 10:54Speaker 1: is where you're going to see Sonium as the blockchain
- 10:57Speaker 1: and transactions under Ripple. So this is a big deal
- 11:01Speaker 1: for the future of XRP as a whole. Now let's
- 11:04Speaker 1: go over let's build a future. If you just look
- 11:07Speaker 1: at the culture of what Japan has done in the past,
- 11:10Speaker 1: you've got to look at anime. Anime chain is going
- 11:13Speaker 1: to be launching soon, so that in itself will continue
- 11:16Speaker 1: to grow. I think the narrative of blockchain and the
- 11:19Speaker 1: investment opportunity that Japan is bringing, that's the big situation
- 11:23Speaker 1: right now, because I think we're going to see more
- 11:25Speaker 1: and more of countries like Japan where they get all
- 11:28Speaker 1: in and they seem to be one of the leaders here.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I want to go to a clip here because this
- 11:32Speaker 1: is talking about why anime, our anime coin is needed
- 11:36Speaker 1: in Japan asap.
- 11:37Speaker 4: Take a look, because if you look at the production
- 11:40Speaker 4: model of anime today, it's quite an archaic model where
- 11:45Speaker 4: different partners come in and form what's called the production committee,
- 11:49Speaker 4: and there's a merchandising partner, right they put in you know,
- 11:52Speaker 4: x percent, and then they get the merchandising rights, and
- 11:55Speaker 4: then another licensing partner comes in with like the TV rights.
- 11:59Speaker 4: What this means though, is that the actual animators and
- 12:02Speaker 4: the anime studios oftentimes are not part of the production committee.
- 12:06Speaker 4: They're more of like a contractor in this whole deal,
- 12:08Speaker 4: and even if the anime becomes really really popular, they
- 12:12Speaker 4: still kind of remain underpaid.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Japan could become a new mecca for crypto in general,
- 12:18Speaker 1: so keep an eye on them. It is going to
- 12:21Speaker 1: be a big one for sure. Listen, if you guys
