- 0:00Speaker 1: I don't want to do this, man, this shit is
- 0:02Speaker 1: fucking it's heartbreaking.
- 0:06Speaker 2: I know.
- 0:07Speaker 3: It was a really sad episode. Yeah, I cried.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Heartbreaking. I cried. I uncontrollably cried. It's fucking heartbreaking.
- 0:15Speaker 3: I didn't think I was going to cry, and then
- 0:17Speaker 3: I cried.
- 0:18Speaker 4: Yep, it really it really got to be y'all because
- 0:21Speaker 4: I was like, this is like, it's the core group,
- 0:25Speaker 4: It's still together. So it was so bizarre to see
- 0:27Speaker 4: you guys young hoping for a future together. Came Sure, you
- 0:31Speaker 4: guys actually have like a whole future to guys. So beautiful.
- 0:34Speaker 4: It's so lovely.
- 0:35Speaker 1: You know you you beg for this as an actor,
- 0:37Speaker 1: you know what I mean. You dream of this One
- 0:39Speaker 1: day I'll be on a show and it'll last a
- 0:42Speaker 1: really long time. And you know, I look back at
- 0:46Speaker 1: it now and it's like, shit, I fucking took that
- 0:47Speaker 1: for granted. While we were doing the ride, I had
- 0:50Speaker 1: no idea that this was This is it, motherfucker, this
- 0:54Speaker 1: is it, you know.
- 0:55Speaker 5: What I mean.
- 0:56Speaker 1: At the end of the day, as much as I
- 0:59Speaker 1: love doing this podcast, I fucking hate this podcast right
- 1:02Speaker 1: now because it made me watch something that I didn't
- 1:05Speaker 1: I never watched and never got to experience what the
- 1:09Speaker 1: fans got to experience, and then fucking watching it, watching
- 1:12Speaker 1: it right now and finishing it and come to completion.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Let's be honest. Season eight is the end this, yo, man,
- 1:20Speaker 1: This is one of the best endings in television history, bro,
- 1:24Speaker 1: in television history, yo. And I can fucking say that
- 1:27Speaker 1: shit because I'm on it. But it's true, Bro, It's true. Like, look,
- 1:32Speaker 1: I've seen a lot of finales, that's my thing. I
- 1:34Speaker 1: watched finales, you know what I mean. I watched the show.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I just watched finales and we fucking stuck the landing
- 1:40Speaker 1: way to go, Bill Lawrence, Man, holy cow man. Look,
- 1:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna try. My heart is not to get emotional,
- 1:49Speaker 1: but this ship was.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Oh my god, I want I want the audience to
- 1:52Speaker 3: know that he's got tears in his eyes as he's
- 1:54Speaker 3: saying all this.
- 1:55Speaker 1: This ship was fucking amazing, Like, Wow, I I had
- 2:00Speaker 1: no idea because I never watched you know what I mean,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I had no clue. And you know, just this journey alone,
- 2:06Speaker 1: this podcast journey, you know it cap Oh my gosh, Wow,
- 2:11Speaker 1: what a fucking what a fucking ending? Wow?
- 2:14Speaker 3: Yeah, And I want to echo what you said about
- 2:16Speaker 3: you know, we were young, and you know, you lose
- 2:20Speaker 3: context of how lucky you are. We were grateful the
- 2:23Speaker 3: whole time, but you lose context of like I think,
- 2:28Speaker 3: I think what you're saying. What I'm saying is we
- 2:30Speaker 3: thought this level of love and connection with a group
- 2:34Speaker 3: of actors, and of course a showrunner on the level
- 2:37Speaker 3: of Bill would happen again. And we all work, we
- 2:41Speaker 3: all do things we love, we all have ups and
- 2:44Speaker 3: downs in our career, but this was so lightning in
- 2:47Speaker 3: a bottle, this special thing, and it didn't it hasn't
- 2:52Speaker 3: happened again. I've made things I loved, I've worked with
- 2:54Speaker 3: people I loved, but in terms of like forming a bond,
- 2:59Speaker 3: and another thing that happens is people get on a
- 3:00Speaker 3: show and it's just a job. You know, It's like, Okay,
- 3:03Speaker 3: I got a check and I work with these people,
- 3:05Speaker 3: but it isn't like this, this special thing, this special
- 3:08Speaker 3: group of people, and so yeah, I loved with the
- 3:11Speaker 3: same feelings all I was like, God, we are so
- 3:14Speaker 3: blessed and lucky as actors. Obviously to have an eight
- 3:20Speaker 3: year run on a show, of course, that goes without saying,
- 3:22Speaker 3: but to have it be something we so loved and
- 3:25Speaker 3: these people we so loved that we're still close with
- 3:28Speaker 3: that we have such a bond with. I mean, every
- 3:31Speaker 3: single person on there I still love and it made
- 3:33Speaker 3: me miss them so much.
- 3:35Speaker 1: That's that. Yeah, that more than anything, I saw my
- 3:38Speaker 1: journey with like I saw my journey with everybody too.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Like one of my greatest accomplishments. And I feel like
- 3:47Speaker 1: is me and Christa's relationship, you know what I mean,
- 3:50Speaker 1: because it started off maybe not for Krista, but for me,
- 3:53Speaker 1: it started off really rocky, you know what I mean,
- 3:56Speaker 1: and me and the boss's wife didn't jive and it
- 4:01Speaker 1: when you watch the end of this, you could see
- 4:04Speaker 1: our relationship coming full circle, you know what I mean.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And you know the hugs that we give each other,
- 4:10Speaker 1: those are all real. That's what it's like when we
- 4:12Speaker 1: see each other, you know what I mean. There's nothing
- 4:15Speaker 1: you know, and I just you know, I am so
- 4:19Speaker 1: grateful for everyone in this show, you know what I mean,
- 4:23Speaker 1: from Cass to crew. You know, I don't have this
- 4:27Speaker 1: type of the type of relationship that I have with
- 4:30Speaker 1: with you guys that you know in my real life,
- 4:34Speaker 1: Like I don't have that type of I don't have
- 4:36Speaker 1: fucking like that's my friendship. That's my you know what
- 4:39Speaker 1: I mean. There's the people I grew up with, of course,
- 4:43Speaker 1: but then there's you guys, and that's it, you know
- 4:46Speaker 1: what I'm saying. And it's I don't know, man, you
- 4:48Speaker 1: don't get that in Hollywood. You don't get that.
- 4:51Speaker 3: No, you don't. I mean, you work on these projects
- 4:54Speaker 3: and you make great friendships. But I mean when I
- 4:56Speaker 3: think of like the people closest to me in my life.
- 4:59Speaker 3: You know, obviously I have of friends outside of this,
- 5:01Speaker 3: but like you and Bill and Krista are are the
- 5:07Speaker 3: closest people to me. And I've actually newly rekindled this
- 5:11Speaker 3: friendship with Johnny. That's been great. That started this summer
- 5:14Speaker 3: where we've gotten close again. Sarah. I just went skiing
- 5:17Speaker 3: with Sarah. I can't find the words. I'll just say
- 5:20Speaker 3: that I had the same reaction to Donald Well. That
- 5:22Speaker 3: was very emotional and really made me see how impactful
- 5:26Speaker 3: this this has been all my life? What the donalds
- 5:30Speaker 3: Sarah Chalk? Well, did you surprise us with Sarah Chalk?
- 5:35Speaker 1: Bring her on?
- 5:35Speaker 6: Dare you?
- 5:36Speaker 7: Sarah? Are you there?
- 5:38Speaker 3: Oh God, she's not gonna it's supposed to be a
- 5:40Speaker 3: surprise ruin the getting off up. This is classic Sarah.
- 5:48Speaker 3: She was supposed to be surprising. Now she can't get
- 5:49Speaker 3: on the zoomzo.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Look, she can't figure out the food.
- 6:00Speaker 7: To be clear, I just had to run I can
- 6:03Speaker 7: you hear me?
- 6:04Speaker 6: Oh?
- 6:04Speaker 3: Yes, correctly, it's so eccuey of course.
- 6:12Speaker 7: Wait a second, I can't tell I'm not.
- 6:14Speaker 2: It's not a bit. You can edit the south down.
- 6:17Speaker 3: We're not editing it out.
- 6:18Speaker 2: You're looking at it out. It's my my first time
- 6:20Speaker 2: on this podcast. I just want to make sure I'm
- 6:23Speaker 2: doing it correctly. My Dan on my air pods, I'm
- 6:28Speaker 2: hitting connect connecting.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Okay, Well can you hear us through them? Or are
- 6:34Speaker 3: you hearing us through your laptop?
- 6:37Speaker 2: My laptop?
- 6:38Speaker 3: Okay?
- 6:39Speaker 1: And it's not connecting.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Soah's amazing you're here finale and this is the finale,
- 6:44Speaker 3: and so let me know. Does it say that they're
- 6:47Speaker 3: connected in the top like in the little Bluetooth part,
- 6:48Speaker 3: does it say they're connected?
- 6:50Speaker 2: I'm going to bluetooth it says connect. Charlie's air pods
- 6:54Speaker 2: do that?
- 6:55Speaker 1: You got to put them in your ear though too?
- 6:58Speaker 2: Doing that?
- 6:59Speaker 3: And what about how she's breaking up Donald Internet.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Where are you at that you're breaking up like this?
- 7:05Speaker 3: There? Okay, how's your signal? Because you're breaking up? Which
- 7:10Speaker 3: is just deliciously perfect. Exactly in zoom and the bottom
- 7:14Speaker 3: left of the window where the little microphone is, click
- 7:16Speaker 3: that little up arrow and make sure microphone is set
- 7:19Speaker 3: to air pods and speaker is set to AirPods.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Microphone is set to audio settings, speaker, my test audio.
- 7:28Speaker 3: It should be in the actual zoom window. And the
- 7:30Speaker 3: bottom left is a little microphone that says mute.
- 7:33Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm there.
- 7:33Speaker 3: I'm there in the arrow. So you see there's select
- 7:36Speaker 3: a microphone and select a speaker. There's two there's the
- 7:39Speaker 3: should be two options select cut any of this out please.
- 7:44Speaker 2: There's not enough children. Okay, So I'm in. I clicked
- 7:48Speaker 2: the microphone. I'm going up. It's say audio settings, leave
- 7:52Speaker 2: computer audio, switch to iph audio, test micro and speakerphone, speaker, microphone.
- 7:57Speaker 3: All above that. Is there anything above.
- 7:58Speaker 2: That sot a microphone?
- 8:01Speaker 3: Great, Charlie's air pods one of them?
- 8:03Speaker 1: Nope?
- 8:04Speaker 3: Is or is there anything that's air pods? Is that
- 8:07Speaker 3: one of them? What about selected speaker? Is AirPods one
- 8:10Speaker 3: of those?
- 8:12Speaker 2: Switched to iPhone? Switch to phone audio leave computer audio
- 8:15Speaker 2: audio settings.
- 8:16Speaker 3: No, it wouldn't be one of those.
- 8:19Speaker 7: So why would the why would' the AirPods.
- 8:21Speaker 6: Be showing up?
- 8:22Speaker 3: Are the AirPods connected? And the bluetooth in the top
- 8:24Speaker 3: doesn't say AirPods are connected.
- 8:26Speaker 2: It just says just has a bluetooth thing, and I
- 8:28Speaker 2: keep hitting connected and won't connect.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Okay, so that's probably why. Because your your parts, I'm
- 8:32Speaker 3: not connected yet. Are they charged? Are they full? They're
- 8:34Speaker 3: full of battery?
- 8:36Speaker 6: Is there?
- 8:37Speaker 1: Okay?
- 8:37Speaker 2: I'm just texting Piper to drivers over right now, she's
- 8:40Speaker 2: two minutes away.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Also, honestly, forget it. It's okay at this point, forget it.
- 8:46Speaker 3: You sound fine? Sound fine?
- 8:48Speaker 7: What about like what about like over your head?
- 8:52Speaker 3: If you have those, that's great?
- 8:53Speaker 2: Well please.
- 8:56Speaker 3: So I just want the audience to be reminded that
- 8:58Speaker 3: we've had Sarah on I don't know how many times,
- 9:01Speaker 3: and every single time she cannot figure out how to
- 9:03Speaker 3: get on a zoom call.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Do you want to predict what next? Yeah? Go ahead.
- 9:08Speaker 3: This is going to be a story, Yeah about why
- 9:11Speaker 3: she didn't figure it out.
- 9:13Speaker 1: No, there's going to be another story too.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Oh, there'll be a general you're not going to believe
- 9:16Speaker 3: what happened to me?
- 9:17Speaker 1: Of course, yes, yes, absolutely, I cannot wait.
- 9:20Speaker 3: She looks really beautiful though.
- 9:22Speaker 1: She looks gorgeous. Oh my gosh, wow, I.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Don't know what's going on with that hair today, but
- 9:27Speaker 3: she's looking.
- 9:27Speaker 1: It's full of body.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Yeah, full of body, very voluminous volume.
- 9:34Speaker 6: Us.
- 9:34Speaker 3: There we go.
- 9:35Speaker 8: Okay, okay, as soon as I get this going, we
- 9:41Speaker 8: can discuss fashion then, because I was just as I
- 9:44Speaker 8: was making breakfast this morning, listening to your fashion conversation.
- 9:48Speaker 2: From uh, the Gucci, and I want to hear about
- 9:52Speaker 2: the Gucci. Okay, wait now I can't.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Okay, hang on, so now go to go back to
- 9:56Speaker 3: the microphone. Select the speaker. It should be external headphones.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Are your headphones? They do they take battery? Are they like?
- 10:10Speaker 3: They're plugged in? They're charged?
- 10:12Speaker 2: Going and again select a speaker. Okay, so my headphones
- 10:15Speaker 2: weren't quite jammed very far enough. Now it's external headphones.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Clicked it.
- 10:19Speaker 3: You sound great? The sound great.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I can't hear you.
- 10:22Speaker 6: I can't hear you can't hear us.
- 10:24Speaker 2: External headphones is selected. I've got headphones on. They're plugged in.
- 10:27Speaker 3: You said that for for that's for speaker, not microphone.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I can't hear hold on, let me think there we go.
- 10:40Speaker 3: You can hear us. Oh my god.
- 10:46Speaker 7: Okay, let's pretend that never happens.
- 10:48Speaker 1: No podcast take two.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Your listeners don't have time for that. They don't if
- 10:58Speaker 2: I can speak, I can't make that now listen.
- 11:02Speaker 7: Definitely just happened.
- 11:03Speaker 3: If our listeners get bored, they can skip ten seconds
- 11:06Speaker 3: forward what is in seconds?
- 11:08Speaker 1: They can skip the whole three to five minutes that
- 11:11Speaker 1: it took for you.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Okay, Sarah, how do you operate in your normal life?
- 11:15Speaker 2: Like?
- 11:15Speaker 3: How does it go down?
- 11:17Speaker 2: I got it, I got text paper. Not to bring
- 11:19Speaker 2: the headphones. I gotta figure out don't bring headphones? You
- 11:22Speaker 2: know it goes down similar to this, like I poor
- 11:26Speaker 2: wreckon morning. Every time I record, it's like either dealing
- 11:29Speaker 2: with a brand newborn baby. I mean they're like, go
- 11:31Speaker 2: to drop I'm like, you lost me a drop down menu?
- 11:33Speaker 3: Do you ever get? Do you ever get home at
- 11:35Speaker 3: the end of the day and get into bed and go, Wow,
- 11:37Speaker 3: nothing weird or dramatic happened today?
- 11:46Speaker 2: Because if I do that, if I do that, I've
- 11:50Speaker 2: learned my lesson. If I do that, then something weird
- 11:54Speaker 2: or what happened in the night.
- 11:56Speaker 3: I mean, it's very pretty today, Sarah, why are you?
- 11:59Speaker 1: Are you going pretty?
- 12:00Speaker 3: No? But I mean there's Donald's so you just look
- 12:03Speaker 3: very pretty.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Right now, I sound really gross and stuffed up, so
- 12:06Speaker 2: I apologize to all of you and to all of
- 12:08Speaker 2: your listeners. Are yeah, but it's nothing.
- 12:10Speaker 1: I mean like episode Oh.
- 12:13Speaker 2: My, you guys.
- 12:14Speaker 5: I know, right, I know, right right, I.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Know, I was. I was. I got to be honest.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I was clemmed.
- 12:22Speaker 1: It was.
- 12:24Speaker 2: It made me so nostalgic for the whole thing.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Crazy, It was crazy.
- 12:31Speaker 2: I did you have the thing where you're just like
- 12:34Speaker 2: there's the montage at the end and it's you know,
- 12:36Speaker 2: the flash for light. I had this like reverse montage
- 12:39Speaker 2: after I stopped watching of Our Life for eight years.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Just going back, Yeah, just going back, just.
- 12:46Speaker 2: The whole thing, just and these weird snippets that would
- 12:48Speaker 2: pop up of like you know, the dogs on the
- 12:53Speaker 2: floor and as all the things that made it so
- 12:55Speaker 2: special and so unique and so different than anything I
- 12:57Speaker 2: ever you know, did before since Yeah, we.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Were just talking about that before you came on, about
- 13:02Speaker 3: how you know, we were young and naive to think,
- 13:05Speaker 3: oh this will this is great, but this will happen
- 13:07Speaker 3: several times in my life, and it was such a
- 13:10Speaker 3: rare just group, a really special connection between us.
- 13:14Speaker 2: All it was and you.
- 13:16Speaker 7: See it, like you know, it was so fun.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Even just at the end of the episode, how they
- 13:20Speaker 2: include just like a couple of behind the scenes little
- 13:23Speaker 2: bits of everybody saying goodbye and hugging and then wrapping
- 13:27Speaker 2: each of us out, and like, I mean, I remember,
- 13:30Speaker 2: I don't remember what I did yesterday, but I remember
- 13:32Speaker 2: that day. That's scene in the hallway of Zach walking
- 13:34Speaker 2: down the hallway and leaving and everyone saying goodbye like
- 13:38Speaker 2: it was yesterday. I mean, it left such a impression.
- 13:42Speaker 3: There's a funny moment in that in those in those
- 13:44Speaker 3: behind the scenes putage, and I remember this that you
- 13:48Speaker 3: can hear Bill go, that's a wrap on Sarah Chalk
- 13:50Speaker 3: and Donald Faison and then he goes to hug you guys.
- 13:54Speaker 3: But then Colonel Dodson you can see in the video, Colonel.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Doctor like I'm gonna say good night.
- 14:03Speaker 3: First, Colonel Bill, Colonel Doctor, Colonel Doctor totally cock locked
- 14:09Speaker 3: the hug between you and Donald and Sarah. Sorry, between
- 14:13Speaker 3: you guys and Bill.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yeah, Joe, if I'm back.
- 14:19Speaker 3: And uh, but then Colonel Doctor had to get his
- 14:20Speaker 3: handshake in first, and then Bill was like, okay, all right,
- 14:23Speaker 3: Colonel Doctor, and I'm gonna go hug the cast.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Now, Oh my god, that's so such good.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Now he's passed away since you know what I mean,
- 14:33Speaker 1: like we get well, that's another thing looking at that,
- 14:35Speaker 1: just like Sam seeing Sam again, you know what I mean? Like,
- 14:39Speaker 1: oh man, it's just you know it all everybody. There's
- 14:44Speaker 1: a lot of people that aren't with us anymore. There.
- 14:48Speaker 7: I don't my head once you guys, I'm so sorry.
- 14:51Speaker 3: I do think it's funny that you're on a very
- 14:52Speaker 3: popular show where you record audio and you have a
- 14:56Speaker 3: sound booth, and for this you've chosen the most accuatey
- 14:59Speaker 3: room in Canadi.
- 15:00Speaker 1: She's somewhere, maybe she's not in Canada.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Are you in prison? And the background looks like it
- 15:10Speaker 3: could be a women's prison.
- 15:12Speaker 7: I am, you know, but it's it's not that bad.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Are you all dolled up for some reason? Or do
- 15:19Speaker 3: you just look naturally beautiful right now?
- 15:21Speaker 2: Oh my god, I'm gonna hang out here for a while.
- 15:24Speaker 2: I'm dulled up for you guys. See some friends after
- 15:31Speaker 2: going so bo who I did firefly ling with. She
- 15:36Speaker 2: has a beautiful little baby, and so whenever she comes
- 15:40Speaker 2: into town, we all get together. So I'm going to
- 15:41Speaker 2: see her and then I'm going for dinner with the
- 15:44Speaker 2: Gins you know who you know I love.
- 15:46Speaker 3: But she has two best friends, both named Jen.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, your night is packed. You know are You're
- 15:53Speaker 1: gonna freaking be wasted when you get home. Sarah's gonna
- 15:58Speaker 1: be so wind out. The Red Wine had a cosmopolitan Sharah, Sarah, Devil.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Zach and Devil and Joel.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I got to start my day with them, and then
- 16:11Speaker 2: I'm gonna get all emotional.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Sarah and I went skiing uh together with a group
- 16:17Speaker 3: of friends. It was so fun and Sarah. I knew
- 16:20Speaker 3: Sarah would be a good skier because she's Canadian, but
- 16:23Speaker 3: she's really fucking good skier.
- 16:26Speaker 1: See here's the thing. I knew you guys would all
- 16:27Speaker 1: be good skiers because you're white. But that's just me.
- 16:33Speaker 2: I have never had a sporting or sporting adjacent compliment
- 16:37Speaker 2: in my entire life.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Let me have this.
- 16:44Speaker 2: You know, I remember on Scrubs you guys will play
- 16:46Speaker 2: basketball outside. I remember trying to join once. All go
- 16:50Speaker 2: well for me.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Are you really a good skier? Like that you can.
- 16:54Speaker 3: She can do anything.
- 16:56Speaker 1: She was.
- 16:56Speaker 3: She's great. She undersold how good she was.
- 16:59Speaker 1: She like doing spins and stuff down the hill.
- 17:01Speaker 3: I'm not doing tricks, but she's flying. I mean. Our
- 17:04Speaker 3: friend Preston is like like the best skier right now,
- 17:08Speaker 3: and he does jumps and tricks and like he does nothing.
- 17:10Speaker 3: He won't ski. He's the kind of guy who like
- 17:12Speaker 3: hikes up to places where there's no lift and then
- 17:15Speaker 3: skis down that ship. And I would see him fly
- 17:18Speaker 3: by and be like damn, and then two seconds later
- 17:21Speaker 3: Sarah be right behind him like Neil really fast.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Well in Canada, that's I mean, it's the only I mean,
- 17:27Speaker 2: I learned when I was five years old, and it's
- 17:30Speaker 2: kind of like what you know, we did every weekend
- 17:34Speaker 2: or we grew up at bottom of a little ski hill,
- 17:36Speaker 2: so I would go skiing after school and that was
- 17:39Speaker 2: my first job. I used to keep skiing at that
- 17:40Speaker 2: little mountain.
- 17:42Speaker 3: We had the best time, didn't we the.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Best time the group except for except for we missed
- 17:48Speaker 2: Donald and Casey so much so we would FaceTime them
- 17:50Speaker 2: and cry, that is.
- 17:51Speaker 1: The right answer.
- 17:53Speaker 2: There's true, is the truth. So we got to do
- 17:55Speaker 2: it again.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I wish I was there too, But you want to
- 17:58Speaker 1: talk about going slow, zech you would have looked like
- 18:01Speaker 1: Sarah to to Casey and I. Neither one of us
- 18:03Speaker 1: are scared. I mean, Casey's probably a really good skier,
- 18:06Speaker 1: and I'm she's white. But the thing is me not
- 18:09Speaker 1: saying this.
- 18:10Speaker 3: But there are African American people who's kiy. I know
- 18:13Speaker 3: that you're on this tip.
- 18:14Speaker 2: But also Donald, it's all about the opera.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I don't never see them when I watched these movies.
- 18:18Speaker 1: When you watch how Tim Thomas she Krent Robinson looked
- 18:21Speaker 1: out of place and all of that ship, like that
- 18:24Speaker 1: ship just doesn't look right. Yet, we need a tiger wood.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Jack and Joe Donald come on now, black and blue
- 18:32Speaker 4: and people ski.
- 18:34Speaker 3: I know Joel helped me out here.
- 18:37Speaker 5: As a teenager. You used to Joel. Yeah, I'll Wisconsin.
- 18:42Speaker 5: Do you love it? It's so much fun, Joel. You're
- 18:45Speaker 5: the only black person in Wisconsin.
- 18:50Speaker 2: All right, all right, okay, but we have to do
- 18:52Speaker 2: it to get a dog. You and Casey have to
- 18:53Speaker 2: come and the whole like the fun sings fun, but
- 18:56Speaker 2: like it's like the after stuff. I mean, it's the best.
- 18:59Speaker 7: We played code names, connections, I Yam David Connections.
- 19:04Speaker 3: We called this game called Code Names that I learned
- 19:07Speaker 3: from the Lawrences because the Lawrence family loves it, and
- 19:09Speaker 3: I brought it skiing and everyone it's all anyone wanted
- 19:13Speaker 3: to do. We'd be like, okay, when are we playing
- 19:15Speaker 3: Code Names? It's really addicting.
- 19:16Speaker 2: It's fun, and everyone was so equally competitive, Like I
- 19:20Speaker 2: thought of my flight home, I was like, I feel
- 19:21Speaker 2: like I just played that game with eight of me.
- 19:23Speaker 7: I'm extremely competitive in gaming, and everybody was very competitive.
- 19:28Speaker 7: It got heated.
- 19:29Speaker 1: That's what happens when we get together, you guys. We
- 19:32Speaker 1: are a very competitive bunch. Like that's did Watching this
- 19:36Speaker 1: also reminded me of like all the vacations we've taken
- 19:39Speaker 1: together and stuff like that, and all the sporting contests
- 19:43Speaker 1: that we've had. If you bought a cornhole game out
- 19:47Speaker 1: at freaking scrubs, even if we didn't know how to
- 19:52Speaker 1: play it, once we got the rules, it is fucking on, yo,
- 19:57Speaker 1: let's go, and there'll be people upset, people like I,
- 20:03Speaker 1: oh my gosh, I can't take losing. This is this
- 20:06Speaker 1: is like I think.
- 20:07Speaker 3: That's like cornhole.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Have you ever played corn hole?
- 20:11Speaker 3: Of course, it's it's Bill's obsessed with it. But I
- 20:14Speaker 3: just thought you might like it because it's about like
- 20:16Speaker 3: hitting a swosh.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I love cornhole. I played that. Oh I used to.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, corn hole is fun. Yeah, it's uh.
- 20:25Speaker 1: We could freaking have a corn hole competition or with
- 20:30Speaker 1: beer and cornhole and the cast and crew of Scrubs reunited.
- 20:36Speaker 1: It feels so good reunited.
- 20:44Speaker 5: Way.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Well, my god, this is amazing, Joelle, you are a
- 20:51Speaker 3: good producer.
- 20:53Speaker 9: I can't see him.
- 20:59Speaker 3: I don't I don't have you.
- 21:00Speaker 9: How do I get my camera going?
- 21:01Speaker 3: Here?
- 21:01Speaker 1: I'll be this, Oh, here we go.
- 21:03Speaker 2: There he is, Thank god, Johnny, please microphone, your headphones
- 21:07Speaker 2: aren't working.
- 21:08Speaker 9: Just for me, everything's working. I just can't see you.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Jack We can see you, Joel. You did a good job.
- 21:17Speaker 9: Hello Jackie, Hello, Hello Sarah.
- 21:20Speaker 1: You look great. Johnny, dude, I'm feeling good.
- 21:23Speaker 9: I'm fighting gravity. Motherfucker.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Oh, Johnny, I'm so happy.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I talk about fucking competitive spirits and all that. Ship.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Johnny comes on and right away, I feel great, motherfucker.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 21:40Speaker 9: I'm fucking healthy as a mountain lion. I want to
- 21:43Speaker 9: I'm just I'm randy.
- 21:48Speaker 3: I'm so glad you're here. We Joel surprised us. We
- 21:51Speaker 3: talked about it. We said we should get Sarah and
- 21:54Speaker 3: Johnny c on and then I didn't know if Joel
- 21:58Speaker 3: was going to coordinate it all. So your beautiful surprise
- 22:01Speaker 3: is to Donald and I anytime.
- 22:04Speaker 7: All emails us, we say, I'd do anything.
- 22:08Speaker 9: Sarah, I do. I watched the finale again the season.
- 22:11Speaker 9: Do you have a bad angle? You look so beautiful
- 22:14Speaker 9: in every goddamn shot, even in the handheld like rough
- 22:21Speaker 9: sixteen millimeters stuff. Do you have a bad angle?
- 22:25Speaker 3: Yeah? He's hot, man?
- 22:26Speaker 2: Can we wind the clock back?
- 22:28Speaker 3: What are you talking about? Look at you now? You
- 22:30Speaker 3: look even hotter, so believable.
- 22:33Speaker 2: It was crazy watching that episode because you see us like,
- 22:35Speaker 2: you know, however many years ago. But then there's also
- 22:37Speaker 2: the flashbacks to like the very first day and we
- 22:39Speaker 2: were babies, like just babies.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I love that. I love that he flashed back to
- 22:46Speaker 3: the pilot. That was like so extra dramatic to see
- 22:49Speaker 3: how young we all looked.
- 22:51Speaker 9: I of course forgot that that Billy is the last
- 22:53Speaker 9: one in the frame with you.
- 22:55Speaker 3: I know. That's when I that's when I cried, to
- 22:57Speaker 3: be honest, when when why my tears were prepped from
- 23:02Speaker 3: the long hallway thing and the projection on the screen.
- 23:06Speaker 3: But then when Bill looked in my eyes and said
- 23:09Speaker 3: good night, I just started crying.
- 23:11Speaker 9: And plus he's totally flat. It's so great. He doesn't
- 23:14Speaker 9: so well loaded up or any a fact.
- 23:19Speaker 3: We should mention for those of you who don't know,
- 23:21Speaker 3: that last beat with the janitor packing up the cloth
- 23:24Speaker 3: that said goodbye, JD, that's Bill playing the janitor saying
- 23:28Speaker 3: good night to me. And that's when I lost it.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Is that right?
- 23:32Speaker 1: I got to tell you, Johnny, we were talking about
- 23:35Speaker 1: this for Zach, Sarah and I. I've yet to experience
- 23:39Speaker 1: this again before or after, and I thought, you know,
- 23:42Speaker 1: I honestly believed that I would experience this camaraderie, you
- 23:47Speaker 1: know what I mean? Like all I did was watch
- 23:50Speaker 1: this and be like, I need to be better. I
- 23:51Speaker 1: need to be a better friend to these people, man,
- 23:53Speaker 1: Like these are my family members, you know what I mean.
- 23:56Speaker 1: That's what it felt like, you know. And it's just
- 24:00Speaker 1: I don't know about you, but this just was I've
- 24:06Speaker 1: yet to experience this type of connection ever again yet too.
- 24:10Speaker 1: I want to ask you, are you were a veteran
- 24:13Speaker 1: coming into this? Is this the same for you, is
- 24:16Speaker 1: it different?
- 24:18Speaker 9: The only thing that comes close is spending all that
- 24:20Speaker 9: time in the Philippines with those guys on platoon because
- 24:23Speaker 9: it was because the bullshit barometer was around zero, because
- 24:29Speaker 9: they just had a revolution and there was a rumored
- 24:34Speaker 9: takeover of the government for seemingly every Thursday, and it
- 24:38Speaker 9: just felt so real. And so yeah, I've stayed tight
- 24:41Speaker 9: with a half a dozen to those guys, but not
- 24:45Speaker 9: like this though. I mean, we were together for nine years,
- 24:50Speaker 9: sometimes fourteen hours a day, and just by virtue of arithmetic,
- 24:54Speaker 9: that's more time than you can spend with your family.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Yeah, Johnny, I was saying how happy I am before
- 25:02Speaker 3: you came on that we've reconnected of late, and it's
- 25:06Speaker 3: just had so much fun with you this summer. Johnny
- 25:10Speaker 3: taught me all the way. Johnny was my mister Miyagi
- 25:12Speaker 3: for learning how to sauna cold plunge. And in addition
- 25:17Speaker 3: to that, we we really got to reconnect and just
- 25:21Speaker 3: be friends again. And I not that we weren't ever friends,
- 25:24Speaker 3: but I mean really just spend time with each other
- 25:26Speaker 3: because I was staying out in Malibu and I really,
- 25:29Speaker 3: I really love that, man, I really I really cherish
- 25:32Speaker 3: that we've gotten close again.
- 25:34Speaker 9: Have you talked about any rumors about scrubs reunions? Has
- 25:37Speaker 9: that ever come up?
- 25:39Speaker 3: Yeah, we don't want to. We don't want to over uh,
- 25:41Speaker 3: we don't want to overpromise to the to the listeners.
- 25:44Speaker 3: But we we talked about how there's the discourse.
- 25:47Speaker 6: It's just gonna happen.
- 25:48Speaker 1: We just got to figure it out.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Yeah, we we mentioned I think the listeners know that
- 25:52Speaker 3: the discourse has gotten more serious of late. It's just
- 25:57Speaker 3: probably a matter of time.
- 25:58Speaker 1: We got to figure this out.
- 25:59Speaker 9: Man.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I can't. I can't not after going like I was saying,
- 26:04Speaker 1: how I hate this podcast now because it made me
- 26:06Speaker 1: do something that I didn't do before, and that's watch
- 26:08Speaker 1: our show. We had a good show, bro, dude, straight up?
- 26:12Speaker 1: Oh shit is good? Dude, Like I look, that's one
- 26:16Speaker 1: of the best season finales ever in series finales ever,
- 26:19Speaker 1: in history of series finales, bro period. I'll give fuck
- 26:22Speaker 1: what you say. That's up there, Yo, that's up there.
- 26:24Speaker 1: And you know me, I don't watch television. I only
- 26:27Speaker 1: watch series finales. That's my jam. That's my motherfucking jams.
- 26:33Speaker 1: He doesn't watch TV shows. He occasionally we've mentioned shows
- 26:36Speaker 1: we love and He's like, oh, yeah, I just watched
- 26:38Speaker 1: the finale of that.
- 26:39Speaker 9: I've heard on the show before Donald insinuate that, but
- 26:43Speaker 9: I always thought I thought you were fronting Donald.
- 26:45Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, that's it.
- 26:47Speaker 3: I think the biggest one was Watchman. Right, you watched
- 26:49Speaker 3: the Watchman finale?
- 26:51Speaker 9: Right?
- 26:51Speaker 5: No?
- 26:51Speaker 1: I did no Breaking Bad.
- 26:53Speaker 3: I never Yeah, he only watched the Breaking Bad and.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I just watched the Breaking Bad finale.
- 26:58Speaker 2: I love this, doll, because I feel like I never
- 27:01Speaker 2: have time when we get caught up whatever. I'm just
- 27:03Speaker 2: getting into Finales.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Just Finales, Man, it's the best. But we fucking crushed dude.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Holy shit. Wow, you want to talk about sticking the landing?
- 27:14Speaker 5: How am I crying at something? Look, I'm okay.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Yeah, granted, I was a part of the show and
- 27:20Speaker 1: we're looking back and it's fucking nostalgic and all of
- 27:22Speaker 1: that shit, But that's not what started the whole thing.
- 27:26Speaker 1: What started the whole thing was that turnaround the motherfucking corner.
- 27:30Speaker 1: How many times does this motherfucking turned around the corner
- 27:32Speaker 1: at the end of the show. It's one, it's two,
- 27:36Speaker 1: And as an actor on the show, I'm recognizing the
- 27:38Speaker 1: hall Okay, he's on the fucking third floor. That's the
- 27:41Speaker 1: second floor. Oh shit, here we go. And he turns
- 27:45Speaker 1: the corner and he doesn't go out the way that
- 27:47Speaker 1: you can't go out. Also, that's another thing, you, guys.
- 27:51Speaker 1: The reason why you never see us walk in the
- 27:53Speaker 1: front and you always see us walk in the back
- 27:55Speaker 1: is because the front is gated so that the freaking
- 27:59Speaker 1: nutsos outside can't get into the hospital because that's an
- 28:07Speaker 1: actual real entrance. So do you only see us walk
- 28:10Speaker 1: in through the from the inside, and you'll always see
- 28:13Speaker 1: us walk out the backing exit. That's because that's the
- 28:16Speaker 1: only way in and there's a security guard at the
- 28:19Speaker 1: end of the motherfucking thing stopping anyone from getting in.
- 28:22Speaker 1: And I mean, because we have problems with Urgent K two. Right.
- 28:26Speaker 3: The joy I have you, guys, Johnny and Sarah, is
- 28:29Speaker 3: that Donald has truly never watched the show Scrubs.
- 28:33Speaker 9: And you swear to God, I thought, I swear to
- 28:35Speaker 9: I thought that was the front.
- 28:36Speaker 3: No, it's not broke, not a bit. And so you're
- 28:39Speaker 3: listening to a man who's not only been moved by
- 28:41Speaker 3: the show, but who has truly seen the show for
- 28:43Speaker 3: the first time.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Yes, the first sight.
- 28:48Speaker 3: That's so fucked up.
- 28:50Speaker 1: It's good, dude, Look yo, for real, I didn't know.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I didn't I look and that and that's what triggered.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Holy shit, I fucking was a hard is something that
- 29:02Speaker 1: you know, it doesn't get better than this, man, and
- 29:06Speaker 1: I'm searching for it, and I'm chasing it now. And
- 29:08Speaker 1: that's I've been trying to chase this fucking high for
- 29:11Speaker 1: the past since we wrapped, since season nine, I've been
- 29:16Speaker 1: trying to chase this high since season nine.
- 29:18Speaker 5: Day one of season nine, I was trying to.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Let's get that scrubs feeling back, Let's get that fucking script. Man,
- 29:24Speaker 1: I can't get it.
- 29:25Speaker 9: How's your experience on John Cryer on You and John
- 29:28Speaker 9: Cryer Show.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I love them, I love everybody there, you know, but
- 29:31Speaker 1: we're only in season one. If we get eight seasons,
- 29:34Speaker 1: I hope that we But.
- 29:35Speaker 3: It's also a different vive because it's a sitcom and
- 29:37Speaker 3: you're not there the amount of hours, and you're and
- 29:39Speaker 3: you guys are older, and you're not like going out
- 29:42Speaker 3: and partying and hanging out together, and.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Right, you know, absolutely right, we've yet to We've we've
- 29:49Speaker 1: gone out to dinner and stuff like that and have
- 29:51Speaker 1: had drinks and stuff like that, but you know, like
- 29:53Speaker 1: it's crazy, coach. So with y'all, I could say anything
- 29:56Speaker 1: and you guys will be like, Donald, you've taken it.
- 29:59Speaker 1: You're taking it too, you know what I mean. Calm down,
- 30:03Speaker 1: you're drunk. Don You're a little like Zach can call
- 30:06Speaker 1: me up the next day and be like, Donald, you
- 30:08Speaker 1: were so fucking drunk last night. Let's trust and that's
- 30:11Speaker 1: not try not to be that tonight. I'll be like, right,
- 30:15Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Let's chill. You know what
- 30:17Speaker 1: I mean. These guys can't do that shit. If I'm drunk,
- 30:20Speaker 1: They're like, God damn, this motherfucker is gone.
- 30:24Speaker 5: So somebody says something, I'm not saying nothing.
- 30:27Speaker 1: You say something, I'm not gonna say nothing, like I
- 30:33Speaker 1: don't have that connection. I don't have that connection.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Go ahead, Sarah Is we started at twenty four, like
- 30:39Speaker 2: you're saying, like it's sixteen seventy and this was before
- 30:41Speaker 2: networks had budgets. Really, so we were there like you
- 30:44Speaker 2: weren't twenty two seventeen eighteen hours.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Like when you start.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Twenty five years old, don't even try it.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Twenty four, twenty five, twenty four we started. He's twenty six,
- 30:55Speaker 2: I'm nineteen seventy six.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Oh shit, I thought you were seventy five this whole time, sir.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I'm seventy five. She's seventy four.
- 31:04Speaker 7: Remember seventy four, seventy five, seventy six.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Don't take a year.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Shit, I will not do that again. I was trying
- 31:10Speaker 1: to catch you in a lie.
- 31:11Speaker 7: No, no, no.
- 31:12Speaker 2: If I was go alive at my age, I wouldn't
- 31:13Speaker 2: be doing it over a year.
- 31:14Speaker 7: It would be like.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Team all right, so go about it. Seventy four It's okay.
- 31:19Speaker 1: So you were you were twenty four years twenty.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Four, twenty four six, And I mean, like everybody was
- 31:24Speaker 2: going to the Money Tree on Friday nights at you know,
- 31:27Speaker 2: eleven pm.
- 31:28Speaker 7: We'd say there till two, like.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I I mean, I remember when we'd go to Friturdays
- 31:33Speaker 2: and the wine and cheese tray would come out at
- 31:36Speaker 2: like six pm. Cheese, Why she's Fridays?
- 31:42Speaker 3: I mean there was no So I think we're all
- 31:44Speaker 3: saying that it would be fun to do a reboot,
- 31:46Speaker 3: is what we're saying.
- 31:48Speaker 2: One of the things like and when you watch the finale,
- 31:50Speaker 2: I feel like it's the stuff like it moved me
- 31:55Speaker 2: so much. But then it's like the tiny little clips
- 31:57Speaker 2: where would cut to like Donald dancing. I mean I
- 31:59Speaker 2: could watch all dance all day, every day, all day long.
- 32:03Speaker 2: It cuts to you know, when Zach and Judy were
- 32:08Speaker 2: doing their goodbye scene and like that, just the two
- 32:14Speaker 2: of you saying goodbye made me like tear up again,
- 32:17Speaker 2: like my welling moments were like I cried the second
- 32:20Speaker 2: you know, the hallways full, minutes empty when you turn
- 32:23Speaker 2: back around, and then the montage obviously with that song.
- 32:26Speaker 2: But then it was like when everybody was hugging goodbye,
- 32:30Speaker 2: like it's broke her.
- 32:34Speaker 3: All right, why don't we do a proper count in
- 32:36Speaker 3: Donald and then we're going to go through the episode
- 32:39Speaker 3: now because you haven't we've just been rambling. We forgot
- 32:42Speaker 3: to count into the show.
- 32:44Speaker 1: But we haven't started the show yet.
- 32:45Speaker 3: But do you want stay to do it in German?
- 32:47Speaker 3: Just because we can?
- 32:50Speaker 2: Do you have French German?
- 32:51Speaker 3: Do you want French French but in a sexy French
- 32:55Speaker 3: before but she hasn't turned it up to like a
- 32:57Speaker 3: sexy French and.
- 33:00Speaker 1: She could do sexy German because that's.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Try me, try me sex ziebin.
- 33:06Speaker 3: At No, I think we're more interested in sex. I
- 33:11Speaker 3: got no movement. Let me see.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I mean you were your your face is beautiful and
- 33:15Speaker 1: the way your face looked when you said it was great.
- 33:17Speaker 1: But that ship kind of scared me.
- 33:18Speaker 3: But Sarah produced the audience counting from five to one
- 33:22Speaker 3: in French place.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Thanks set.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Here's some stories show we made about a bunch of
- 33:31Speaker 1: dogs and nurses.
- 33:34Speaker 5: He said, he's the stories Net. So yanda here yea here.
- 33:49Speaker 3: By the way, I should mention, speaking of French guys,
- 33:52Speaker 3: I have a really fun French Canadian movie coming out
- 33:55Speaker 3: called The French Girl with Vanessa Hudgens, and I think
- 33:58Speaker 3: it'll be on or places on the interwebs on March fifteenth,
- 34:03Speaker 3: so please check it out. Sorry, you'll like it. It's
- 34:06Speaker 3: half in French.
- 34:08Speaker 2: I can't wait to see it. I've seen the trailer.
- 34:11Speaker 2: It looks like it looks like my kind of movie. Anyways,
- 34:14Speaker 2: it's not my alley and to have it like half
- 34:15Speaker 2: French half English, I'm o really excited.
- 34:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you're gonna laugh. It's very funny. All right, let's
- 34:20Speaker 3: get into the TV show Scrubs, the finale of what
- 34:23Speaker 3: we believe to be the proper show eight seasons of
- 34:26Speaker 3: the Real Show Scrubs, Jady and Elliott are in bed
- 34:31Speaker 3: together and we learned that Elliot's been sneak moving in
- 34:36Speaker 3: and jad She says he wants morning sex. Elliott says
- 34:41Speaker 3: that he can have it only if if she just
- 34:43Speaker 3: lies there, which we I recently learned is a term
- 34:45Speaker 3: called a pillow princess. Ah, yes, that's if you're just
- 34:50Speaker 3: someone who just lies there and doesn't put any work
- 34:53Speaker 3: in Donald, have you heard that? No, I don't get
- 34:57Speaker 3: out much. Yes, joell have you heard the turn pillow princess? Okay,
- 35:03Speaker 3: that's what Elliot's doing. She's being a pillow princess. We're
- 35:11Speaker 3: in the coffee shop and Ted. It turns out he's
- 35:14Speaker 3: eating dirt. He's drinking a coffee full of dirt because
- 35:18Speaker 3: he's insulted one of the baristas.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Kelso said he's insult Kelso made up a rumor that
- 35:24Speaker 1: he insulted the barrista, and he said that his coffee
- 35:28Speaker 1: tastes like dirt, and so the barista, to get back
- 35:31Speaker 1: at Ted, puts dirt in the coffee. But it's Kelso
- 35:35Speaker 1: who made up the.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Ted still trying to drink it. He's going to commit
- 35:39Speaker 3: and try and drink the dirt.
- 35:41Speaker 1: It's good dirt. That's what he says at the end.
- 35:45Speaker 3: And Kelso says that he's not going to be hanging
- 35:46Speaker 3: around the coffee shop anymore. He too, is going to
- 35:48Speaker 3: be moving on and.
- 35:49Speaker 1: He's going to take the table and chairs. Which is
- 35:52Speaker 1: very interesting because that's what everybody tried to do with Rowdy.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Everyone kind of had an attempt, like, I know, I
- 35:59Speaker 1: try too, but he wasn't there the last day.
- 36:02Speaker 3: I think everybody knew that that people had their eyes
- 36:05Speaker 3: on Rowdy and they see the security guards were circling.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Did you guys take anything Like I got scrubs and
- 36:13Speaker 1: I got like, like some of the clothes from.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Oh you know what I have? I have the antler
- 36:18Speaker 3: I'm looking at them, the foam antlers that I wore
- 36:21Speaker 3: in the pilot when I'm when I'm a deer in headlights.
- 36:25Speaker 3: I have those.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Be careful. Disney's gonna come and get that ship. They
- 36:29Speaker 1: go come and.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Get that Johnny. Did you take any any mementos? Johnny?
- 36:33Speaker 1: I think it's a jinks.
- 36:34Speaker 9: I've always felt like you should leave it. You should
- 36:36Speaker 9: leave it on the set. I don't ever take stuff
- 36:38Speaker 9: off of sets.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Interesting jinx in what way?
- 36:41Speaker 9: Like, what would the that you're taking work home with you?
- 36:43Speaker 9: And I think you should do everything you can to
- 36:45Speaker 9: leave it on the set. And so I think when
- 36:47Speaker 9: people will accumulate too much shit from sets, I feel
- 36:50Speaker 9: like that they should have gotten a done in the
- 36:53Speaker 9: frame and left it there. And I've always felt that way,
- 36:56Speaker 9: and so I don't ever, never, never think it's it's
- 37:01Speaker 9: it's completely bull headed, irish bullshit. But uh, that's what
- 37:07Speaker 9: I've done, all right.
- 37:09Speaker 1: I've kept quite a few things from different sets. I
- 37:13Speaker 1: like that idea, though, because you're right, it accumulates and
- 37:15Speaker 1: you look at the ship and you're like, damn, why
- 37:17Speaker 1: do I still have this script episodes somewhere, you know
- 37:23Speaker 1: what I mean. So I'm sure I've given them up.
- 37:27Speaker 1: I had my Remember the Titans jersey. I gave it
- 37:30Speaker 1: up for auction. I think like that I signed it
- 37:32Speaker 1: and gave it all.
- 37:32Speaker 9: That's what you gotta do, you know, that's what you
- 37:34Speaker 9: gotta do.
- 37:35Speaker 7: Yeah, I found my audition sides. I don't like keep.
- 37:39Speaker 2: I don't save very much, but I found the the sides,
- 37:43Speaker 2: the highlighted sides from the other But that's genius.
- 37:46Speaker 9: That's not from the set. That's that was that's fantastic.
- 37:50Speaker 2: And my appointment sheet too that has like you know,
- 37:53Speaker 2: showing up at NBC like for the tests. At the end,
- 37:56Speaker 2: I met and I remember it just brought back all
- 37:59Speaker 2: the memories, like sitting in your car beforehand, just going
- 38:02Speaker 2: like it doesn't matter what happens in the car, it's
- 38:04Speaker 2: got to happen in there, and just like the of
- 38:07Speaker 2: adrenaline when you watch.
- 38:09Speaker 3: I had a series of songs that I would listen to,
- 38:11Speaker 3: like as a ritual because I kept getting callbacks. So
- 38:14Speaker 3: I had like a series of songs that I would
- 38:17Speaker 3: listen to in my car before I went to each
- 38:20Speaker 3: road back just before they remember. I remember one was
- 38:25Speaker 3: I think there's a Radiohead song stop whispering, start shouting,
- 38:30Speaker 3: and and I love that song. And to me, it
- 38:33Speaker 3: was like, you know, come on, motherfucker, stop being, don't
- 38:37Speaker 3: be shy, don't be don't be wimpy, like stop whispering,
- 38:41Speaker 3: start shouting, go get this part, go fucking crush. It
- 38:44Speaker 3: was like an anthem.
- 38:45Speaker 2: I love that. I it was after go ahead, well,
- 38:49Speaker 2: I was gonna say. Also, the outfit became a bit
- 38:51Speaker 2: of a superstition because I remember I wore, and I
- 38:54Speaker 2: wore this thing to the first audition and there were
- 38:56Speaker 2: four so once I had a call back, and then
- 38:58Speaker 2: the next callback and the next call back.
- 39:00Speaker 7: I remember one was like two in a row, and
- 39:01Speaker 7: I was like, I don't have time to watch it.
- 39:02Speaker 2: But at this point I made I got to wear
- 39:04Speaker 2: the uniform because when I first moved to LA, I
- 39:07Speaker 2: remember wearing like, I don't know what I would wear.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Like I had these like plaid bell bottoms, these runners
- 39:13Speaker 2: and this T shirt that I thought was like super
- 39:14Speaker 2: cool and it was for Aaron Spelling and there were
- 39:18Speaker 2: seven of us and all the other girls had a
- 39:20Speaker 2: tight black TikTok tight black pants and black high heeled
- 39:23Speaker 2: boots and I was like, yuess, there's a uniform. Like
- 39:27Speaker 2: I guess this is just like what you have to do.
- 39:29Speaker 2: So that's what I wore the Scrubs cad.
- 39:33Speaker 3: I wore my I wear the same outfit after every
- 39:35Speaker 3: callback too, we did, but it was yours. It was
- 39:38Speaker 3: just a you know, a light blue button down shirt.
- 39:42Speaker 3: But I just was like, this shit's lucky. I'm on
- 39:44Speaker 3: like the third callback. This shit's getting worn every single time.
- 39:47Speaker 3: I wore it up until the sixth callback.
- 39:51Speaker 1: My shit was all about releasing after every audition, you
- 39:55Speaker 1: know what I mean. And so my release ship would
- 39:57Speaker 1: be like Eminem, I just don't give a fuck. And
- 39:59Speaker 1: I would play that shit as loud as fuck and
- 40:02Speaker 1: scream that ship with him, I just don't give a fuck.
- 40:07Speaker 1: I'll never that was That was it. So when you
- 40:11Speaker 1: see me on your block saying fuck the world like Tupac,
- 40:14Speaker 1: I just don't give a fuck. That was my mantra.
- 40:22Speaker 1: I used to love that song.
- 40:24Speaker 3: Let's talk about this, this goodbye JD sign. I think,
- 40:28Speaker 3: as I recall, Bill came to me he might deny
- 40:32Speaker 3: this now and said, do you have any cool visual
- 40:35Speaker 3: ideas for the end? And I had done some projection
- 40:39Speaker 3: on faces, both in Garden State and in a student
- 40:43Speaker 3: film at Northwestern, where I had kind of thought that
- 40:47Speaker 3: I had seen that somewhere and I had done that,
- 40:49Speaker 3: and I thought that looks really cool when you project
- 40:51Speaker 3: images and focus on people's faces. And I believe that's
- 40:55Speaker 3: where he had the Then he took that and ran
- 40:58Speaker 3: with it and came up with this very clever idea
- 41:00Speaker 3: to establish the Goodbye JD sheet that hangs that well
- 41:06Speaker 3: that eventually will pay off with being a movie screen,
- 41:09Speaker 3: which was, oh, you know.
- 41:10Speaker 9: Where else we see that Zachi in Cinema Paradisio. Yes,
- 41:15Speaker 9: we get the we get the projection on the face,
- 41:17Speaker 9: and I don't know, have you ever seen that? It's
- 41:19Speaker 9: kind of an obscure foreign film.
- 41:20Speaker 3: No, No, it's beautiful. I'm sure I'm not the only
- 41:22Speaker 3: person to do it, but I think I loved it.
- 41:25Speaker 3: And I hadn't done it, no doubt. We hadn't done
- 41:27Speaker 3: it on scrubs. So I thought like, oh, this is
- 41:30Speaker 3: something I've done and looks cool, and it might be
- 41:32Speaker 3: it might be perfect, And it really was. We we'll
- 41:34Speaker 3: get there and we get to the end. But those
- 41:36Speaker 3: those images projected on JD's face was so pretty.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Is Elliott's brother Barry he's transitioned.
- 41:47Speaker 3: Because well he has g's. Yes, Well, JD asks if
- 41:52Speaker 3: he says, they did a dynamite job on his breasts.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Are they g's?
- 41:57Speaker 1: No?
- 41:57Speaker 9: Are they d's?
- 41:58Speaker 1: I thought, she said she and then she says double d's.
- 42:01Speaker 3: She corrects him that they're not. Geez, they're double d's.
- 42:04Speaker 3: But g's in the ballpark.
- 42:08Speaker 1: There's e FG. But yeah, sure for sure, bro.
- 42:14Speaker 3: But you're jumping a bit donald because first that was.
- 42:17Speaker 5: All in bed in the morning at the beginning.
- 42:18Speaker 2: That was the beginning.
- 42:19Speaker 3: Oh, sorry, you're right, you're right, you're right. Then we
- 42:21Speaker 3: do a big spinning. Before we did the spinning Eagle,
- 42:23Speaker 3: I saw that those are like the stunt mats in
- 42:25Speaker 3: the in the parking lot, and I was like, did
- 42:27Speaker 3: they really not frame out the stunt mats that we
- 42:30Speaker 3: used all the time. And then I remember that in
- 42:32Speaker 3: the world of the show, Turk has purchased giant mats
- 42:36Speaker 3: so he can do a final giant spinning.
- 42:39Speaker 6: Wigle, This is so good.
- 42:44Speaker 5: Find the mat.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that was funny. Find the mat, Find the mat.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Fall my voice, but Doll's like calling out to thus best.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Now Elliott and and Uh and Carla are trying to
- 42:58Speaker 3: make fun of our hugs. Oh my god, we have
- 43:01Speaker 3: another surprise visitor. This is incredible. Joelle Miller. Oh my god.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Joel, my favorite people want to play.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Let's go underous applause, Daniel, Bill Lawrence and Christa Miller.
- 43:22Speaker 5: The heck we got ratings?
- 43:26Speaker 3: Mand Wow, how long wait did you? How long were
- 43:38Speaker 3: you both planning on doing this because you kept a
- 43:40Speaker 3: secret from me?
- 43:41Speaker 10: Yeah, for full disclosure, I wanted to go to Zach's hey,
- 43:45Speaker 10: what's up, Sarah.
- 43:49Speaker 2: I already did the content. I did the countin. I'm sorry,
- 43:53Speaker 2: it's okay, five six, seven eight, it's happened.
- 43:55Speaker 1: You know.
- 43:56Speaker 10: I'm not I'm not anyto those jokes anymore. No, I
- 44:02Speaker 10: said that I would come for this last one. By
- 44:04Speaker 10: the way, we also had a plan, but then christ
- 44:06Speaker 10: is in a horrible mood, so she's been yelling at me.
- 44:09Speaker 6: We were going to be.
- 44:09Speaker 10: Doing a shrinking podcast and she was so annoying. Right
- 44:14Speaker 10: before you guys let us in, we lost.
- 44:16Speaker 6: We threw our bits out. I had a batman mask.
- 44:20Speaker 11: He doesn't he doesn't look cute in it. I didn't
- 44:24Speaker 11: look for him.
- 44:25Speaker 6: And christ said that it was stupid.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Look what we're where?
- 44:29Speaker 11: Oh no, I did it.
- 44:30Speaker 10: And then Christa said it was stupid and uh and
- 44:34Speaker 10: then she's like, how long do we have to fucking
- 44:35Speaker 10: wait for this podcast?
- 44:37Speaker 6: I didn't say that.
- 44:39Speaker 3: It does not sound like wait, build, wait build, and
- 44:42Speaker 3: then by the way, and then wait.
- 44:44Speaker 6: Zach agreed to do it.
- 44:45Speaker 10: And then I texted you to come over and use
- 44:47Speaker 10: your cold plunge and you said I have a podcast
- 44:49Speaker 10: at one and I was like, oh right, I forgot.
- 44:55Speaker 3: It's funny because I literally I was working with Bill
- 44:58Speaker 3: till late last night and it was late and I
- 45:01Speaker 3: was like, I don't I just don't have the balls
- 45:03Speaker 3: to ask him if he wants to come on and
- 45:05Speaker 3: do the finale, like he's so fried, I'm so fried,
- 45:07Speaker 3: Like I'm not going to like even ask him. And
- 45:10Speaker 3: then this morning we were like, hey, do you want
- 45:12Speaker 3: to get in the sauna? And I was like, I
- 45:13Speaker 3: have to do the Scrubs podcast and you were like,
- 45:16Speaker 3: oh okay, and then that was and then not who
- 45:18Speaker 3: you are. It's so funny.
- 45:19Speaker 10: I wish it could be me being cute, but I
- 45:21Speaker 10: had for if we had not texted Dan and Joel
- 45:24Speaker 10: would just know as a faky person again, I would
- 45:26Speaker 10: just not be here again.
- 45:27Speaker 1: I forgot.
- 45:27Speaker 6: I'm sorry.
- 45:28Speaker 3: Well, in my mind, much like JD and Cox, in
- 45:31Speaker 3: my mind, you were excited to participate for weeks.
- 45:33Speaker 12: Oh my god, Jacky that it's been so much fun
- 45:41Speaker 12: to have you be the director.
- 45:42Speaker 11: I'm shrinking this week and you're my favorite director.
- 45:45Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you.
- 45:47Speaker 12: You haven't directed yet, Szaky. Thank you for being there
- 45:51Speaker 12: for me this week. You just made it so great.
- 45:54Speaker 3: It's so much fun. We're having the best time. And
- 45:56Speaker 3: I love Bill. I know you don't like sincerity, but
- 45:58Speaker 3: I'm just having I have so much on working with
- 46:00Speaker 3: you both. And uh, and the show is so good
- 46:03Speaker 3: this year, and and uh it's just an honor.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Let's take a break.
- 46:06Speaker 3: We'll be right back after these fine words.
- 46:15Speaker 1: I love you guys so much. We've been talking about how,
- 46:20Speaker 1: you know, watching this finale just for us, for Zach,
- 46:27Speaker 1: Sarah and Johnny and myself. You know, I've been chasing
- 46:32Speaker 1: this high, chasing this for the longest, like I sincerely
- 46:36Speaker 1: had never watched Scrubs. And then like we we watched it. No,
- 46:45Speaker 1: but listen, we watched it for the whole We watched
- 46:48Speaker 1: we watched it for the rewatch and I'm crying. I
- 46:51Speaker 1: was crying watching it, like not only was I a
- 46:54Speaker 1: part of one of the best shows to be on television,
- 46:56Speaker 1: but like, dude, one of the best fucking finales in
- 47:00Speaker 1: the history Nally's dude.
- 47:03Speaker 12: They're never good, they always said, always so, And.
- 47:08Speaker 1: We did not fucking do that. Bill. We stuck that
- 47:11Speaker 1: ship so hard. We were like fucking Gabby Douglas out
- 47:15Speaker 1: this bad boy bomb, hands up in the air, man,
- 47:18Speaker 1: like such an amazing.
- 47:21Speaker 11: I know, and then putting the video screen.
- 47:24Speaker 6: With this is not who you were before this started.
- 47:38Speaker 11: I love you so much, friends, the love of my life. Talented.
- 47:47Speaker 3: I would watch this podcast just.
- 47:56Speaker 6: You're the goot baby.
- 47:58Speaker 10: You guys want some was lovely? You want some pun
- 48:01Speaker 10: finale tribute? So, first of all, do you guys talk
- 48:04Speaker 10: about this is the finale Scrubs? See you guys know
- 48:06Speaker 10: as the finale Scrub, right, So that's always on the internet.
- 48:09Speaker 10: And because I don't know if you guys are even
- 48:11Speaker 10: we haven't decided, you know, ultimate it's my decision, as
- 48:15Speaker 10: is my podcast, if we're going to do the ninth
- 48:17Speaker 10: season or not. Daniel and Joel and I are talk about.
- 48:22Speaker 10: But the ninth year of Scrubs was a spinoff and
- 48:25Speaker 10: it even have a different title. And I always think
- 48:27Speaker 10: it's a bad rap because a lot of those kids
- 48:30Speaker 10: were really good and anytime you three run the show
- 48:33Speaker 10: was awesome.
- 48:34Speaker 6: But this one was such a fun finale.
- 48:36Speaker 10: And I'll tell you guys, the one easter egg only
- 48:40Speaker 10: the writing room knows about is JD's last speech when
- 48:43Speaker 10: he walks through the hall is about being a TV writer.
- 48:46Speaker 10: And so that's how we did the finale of this show.
- 48:50Speaker 6: So we were.
- 48:51Speaker 10: All sometimes when you sit in the writer's room, especially
- 48:55Speaker 10: when it's really late, and you're like, oh, what's the
- 48:56Speaker 10: point of this? And so I think it's a speech.
- 49:00Speaker 10: It's a little it was a little rough of a
- 49:02Speaker 10: metaphor for a doctor. But we said, if you sometimes
- 49:04Speaker 10: you make people feel I'm going for memory feel good,
- 49:06Speaker 10: even for a couple of minutes, you know what I mean?
- 49:08Speaker 6: That, Uh, that's the best you can hope for. And uh, it.
- 49:13Speaker 10: Was barely a thin metaphor to what would be like
- 49:15Speaker 10: to be a doctor, and you delivered it quite well, Zach.
- 49:19Speaker 6: And we didn't know if we were gonna be able
- 49:20Speaker 6: to pull it off.
- 49:21Speaker 10: And if you remember this, so and I didn't know
- 49:23Speaker 10: how long that was that my alogue was going to be.
- 49:26Speaker 10: So I just made you walk around the halls and
- 49:28Speaker 10: circles for a while. I hadn't written it.
- 49:34Speaker 5: That's what that is, motherfucker.
- 49:36Speaker 1: I thought that was like fucking I thought that was
- 49:39Speaker 1: I thought it was so poetically.
- 49:42Speaker 6: Now do you remember.
- 49:43Speaker 2: So each of us got one episode with the voiceover,
- 49:46Speaker 2: and I remember online there wasn't a script that Monday morning,
- 49:49Speaker 2: and so you said, we're not sure what it's going
- 49:51Speaker 2: to be so just give us some different faces.
- 49:55Speaker 7: And emotions, and so I didn't know was gonna be
- 49:57Speaker 7: happ Resides.
- 49:58Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, oh my god, I can't believe
- 50:04Speaker 1: that it was so well done. I'm sitting there watching it, like,
- 50:09Speaker 1: that's the freaking second floor. Oh my god, he's that's
- 50:12Speaker 1: the that's the hallway right around where we did the
- 50:15Speaker 1: freaking dance. Here comes here, it comes, here, it comes
- 50:19Speaker 1: and then he comes around that corner.
- 50:21Speaker 5: Oh my god, I'm freaking crying like a baby.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Casey walks by, and my face it looked like somebody
- 50:28Speaker 1: punched me in the face. And you know how when
- 50:30Speaker 1: you get punched in the nose, how you can't stop tears.
- 50:32Speaker 1: And it's just like all over. I'm sitting there watching scrubs.
- 50:36Speaker 1: I can't even see it through. Dude, I didn't know
- 50:39Speaker 1: we did this. I did not know it took us.
- 50:41Speaker 1: It took me twenty what, I'm fifty years old this year.
- 50:47Speaker 6: He worked on something good and I'm never.
- 50:49Speaker 5: Gonna fucking get this again. And that's what fucking kills me, man,
- 50:52Speaker 5: It kills me.
- 50:53Speaker 3: Bill, he had no idea he was on a good
- 50:55Speaker 3: show until.
- 50:56Speaker 5: It was a good shield because of the way the
- 50:58Speaker 5: fans are.
- 50:58Speaker 1: But I had no idea with this fucking good bro
- 51:01Speaker 1: like from front to end, from start to finish.
- 51:07Speaker 11: It's that doctor Graham.
- 51:09Speaker 12: It's like those TikTok things when people go I was
- 51:12Speaker 12: just today years old when I found out.
- 51:14Speaker 6: It was just today your goal. I found out Scrubs
- 51:16Speaker 6: was good.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Scrubs.
- 51:20Speaker 5: No, that's not what I'm saying. I knew it was good.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I always I've known it's good. But it's like it's
- 51:26Speaker 1: perfect season nine?
- 51:28Speaker 3: Is it?
- 51:28Speaker 1: Just?
- 51:28Speaker 2: Is it?
- 51:29Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but we should have stopped it at season No.
- 51:32Speaker 10: We'll talk about that as another point. Because it wasn't
- 51:35Speaker 10: Scrubs anymore. It is a spin off. Everybody got another
- 51:37Speaker 10: year of work.
- 51:38Speaker 6: If it had been called, it would.
- 51:40Speaker 10: Be called what it was supposed to be called, which
- 51:41Speaker 10: was Med School. Nobody would have judged it as harshly.
- 51:45Speaker 10: I tell you, I've watched those because you know it's
- 51:48Speaker 10: not Scrubs.
- 51:49Speaker 6: With all the writers did a good job.
- 51:50Speaker 10: I still remember Eliza Coop and uh Mike Mosley and
- 51:55Speaker 10: uh Dave Franca was funny and it was a carriage.
- 52:00Speaker 10: Would not have been under as much scrutiny, but this
- 52:03Speaker 10: was the end of Scrums. My only regrets about the finale,
- 52:07Speaker 10: where one was Brendan Fraser was off doing a movie
- 52:10Speaker 10: and I thought he should have been in that hallway
- 52:12Speaker 10: and it really bummed me out. And the and then
- 52:16Speaker 10: he wanted to be you know, because he's always been lovely.
- 52:18Speaker 10: I think, you know, he came on here, you know,
- 52:20Speaker 10: he's always been lovely about our show and grateful for it.
- 52:22Speaker 10: And then the weird one was NBC kept there to employed,
- 52:29Speaker 10: not because we had moved to ABC. NBC kept their
- 52:32Speaker 10: two employees from doing the show, which was a gift
- 52:36Speaker 10: shop girl and uh MASSI remember him MASSI okay, I
- 52:40Speaker 10: think his name was Yeahs. And then because they were
- 52:45Speaker 10: on two NBC shows like no, they can't come be
- 52:47Speaker 10: in the final montage and I, that's so petty and silly.
- 52:49Speaker 1: Let's think.
- 52:52Speaker 6: Uh so, here's the other things that make me laugh.
- 52:54Speaker 10: I ran into Tom Cavanaugh in New York and he said,
- 52:58Speaker 10: even though he was the bad guy on Flash for
- 53:00Speaker 10: eight years, when people see him in the city, they
- 53:02Speaker 10: still go, hey, little brother, because.
- 53:04Speaker 1: That's when it started. That's when the tears started right then,
- 53:07Speaker 1: and there, Hey little brother, I'm gonna cry that's what
- 53:11Speaker 1: this was really just Oh shit, I'm gonna cry.
- 53:14Speaker 5: It was like out of nowhere, dude, Oh.
- 53:16Speaker 3: My god, Now what about sorry? Go ahead, Bill, you go,
- 53:20Speaker 3: you go. I was gonna say, what was the process like?
- 53:22Speaker 3: Because you know, obviously the writing was so good and
- 53:24Speaker 3: you nailed all these moments between everyone, But what was
- 53:28Speaker 3: the process do you remember for for organizing getting all
- 53:30Speaker 3: of those those people there to be a part of
- 53:33Speaker 3: that last moment? I mean I remember filming it and
- 53:36Speaker 3: and it was so so clever and so moving.
- 53:39Speaker 1: Oh you're nice.
- 53:40Speaker 10: Look, I never knew when this show was going to
- 53:43Speaker 10: end after the first five years, because then it was
- 53:48Speaker 10: just weird and bouncing around and stuff and still successful.
- 53:51Speaker 10: But remember NBC didn't own it, and so they always
- 53:54Speaker 10: treated it like a step shot a little bit. So
- 53:56Speaker 10: the one thing I always had locked and loaded because
- 54:00Speaker 10: I knew I was gonna I had to write the finale.
- 54:02Speaker 6: And you guys, An'll know, I hate writing. That's why
- 54:03Speaker 6: you were always standing around waiting for scenes. He's hated it,
- 54:08Speaker 6: and I do the uh. But I knew that the
- 54:11Speaker 6: ending of this show was the lion.
- 54:13Speaker 10: Who's to say my fantasies couldn't come true just this once, right,
- 54:16Speaker 10: So I knew that, and I didn't know if we'd
- 54:20Speaker 10: be able to pull off the hallway thing. But the
- 54:22Speaker 10: coolest thing was the sheer volume people we called that
- 54:24Speaker 10: just said they'd show up, you know, and everybody was
- 54:27Speaker 10: super duper.
- 54:28Speaker 1: Cool about it. So, uh, it's neat.
- 54:31Speaker 6: I wish.
- 54:32Speaker 10: I wish everybody, like literally everybody could have been the
- 54:35Speaker 10: other person that couldn't make it because he was literally
- 54:38Speaker 10: shooting a show.
- 54:39Speaker 6: Was fully who was right.
- 54:43Speaker 3: And there was some reason that Doug wasn't there too
- 54:45Speaker 3: Johnny Castle either day.
- 54:46Speaker 10: But Doug had a health issue his family. It's why
- 54:49Speaker 10: he stopped acting. He moved back to Connecticut, his dad
- 54:52Speaker 10: had her mom had a health issue, and he left acting.
- 54:55Speaker 6: But you know, because he went back there to uh,
- 54:57Speaker 6: you know, kind of help take care of his family,
- 54:59Speaker 6: he couldn't be around out it. Scott always my favorite version,
- 55:03Speaker 6: the biggest.
- 55:04Speaker 10: He must have talked about it on your podcast because
- 55:06Speaker 10: I can't believe. In the finale episode, I called it
- 55:09Speaker 10: your podcast that hurts the because Scott Polways still no
- 55:16Speaker 10: matter what he posts or no matter what he says,
- 55:19Speaker 10: somebody writes and nobody cares.
- 55:20Speaker 3: Shot he said.
- 55:22Speaker 2: They anytime in my family, anyone any like it comes
- 55:26Speaker 2: back most days, nobody cares.
- 55:28Speaker 3: Shun Yes. Scott fully told me that he'll do some
- 55:30Speaker 3: Instagram posts like on his anniversary, like talking about how
- 55:33Speaker 3: amazing his wife is and how like his life couldn't
- 55:36Speaker 3: be what it was if it wasn't for her, and
- 55:37Speaker 3: people like all the comments are nobody cares.
- 55:42Speaker 6: Well, I'm so proud of my kids. Nobody cares.
- 55:45Speaker 12: And Sarah yesterday we were like finishing up or the
- 55:49Speaker 12: day before for the night and everyone's like, I'm getting
- 55:52Speaker 12: my mic takeoff and Jessica's like, I just need one
- 55:55Speaker 12: more and I was.
- 55:56Speaker 6: Like, Sarah or.
- 56:00Speaker 2: He wants one more when she's home. And there were
- 56:05Speaker 2: so many good songs on the show and anytime I'm
- 56:07Speaker 2: in another set and nobody gets it. So just like
- 56:09Speaker 2: in my head every single time, every time, and they
- 56:13Speaker 2: say turn around, in my head, I'm like, turn around
- 56:15Speaker 2: and don't care. Turn around it.
- 56:18Speaker 1: Let's take a break.
- 56:18Speaker 3: We'll be right back after these fine words.
- 56:29Speaker 1: All right, I got it.
- 56:30Speaker 10: I got a topic for all of us, and hey,
- 56:32Speaker 10: a quick time, Daniel. You can edit stuff out if
- 56:35Speaker 10: Zach wants.
- 56:35Speaker 3: To edit it out right, Sure of course, yes, but
- 56:37Speaker 3: we're not going to edit anything out.
- 56:39Speaker 11: You keep talking, Just go to the laser quickly, because
- 56:41Speaker 11: I didn't know I was going to stay.
- 56:42Speaker 3: That means in that, That means in that.
- 56:45Speaker 6: She'll come back.
- 56:46Speaker 10: You know, Donald was talking about kind of chasing that
- 56:49Speaker 10: high again. And you rarely have an opportunity except when
- 56:52Speaker 10: we do it for social reasons, for you know, the
- 56:56Speaker 10: five of us to be together, don't you guys all
- 56:59Speaker 10: have you know. I don't mean to approach a familiar topic,
- 57:02Speaker 10: but like when we live in a world of people
- 57:05Speaker 10: always going, hey, you're gonna do that show.
- 57:06Speaker 6: Again, or you're gonna reboot it, or you're gonna whatever.
- 57:10Speaker 10: For me, the one appealing thing about that on this
- 57:13Speaker 10: particular show is the people. And I haven't had a
- 57:18Speaker 10: situation yet. You try to create all the time that
- 57:20Speaker 10: you know, I ended up friends with everybody. I still
- 57:22Speaker 10: spend time with everybody up here. Yeah, I can with
- 57:25Speaker 10: Schalky because she is a different country. It's such an
- 57:29Speaker 10: interesting topic because I don't think the coolest thing about
- 57:32Speaker 10: how talented you all are is everybody here works when
- 57:35Speaker 10: they want to or does too super Bowl commercials whenever
- 57:39Speaker 10: they want to.
- 57:40Speaker 6: For this year, dude to this year before.
- 57:47Speaker 10: But like for me, the most appealing thing about ever
- 57:51Speaker 10: doing that show again is the people in.
- 57:54Speaker 6: Front of end behind the camera.
- 57:56Speaker 10: You know, I miss the rioters too, because one of
- 57:59Speaker 10: the things that catapulted so many people's careers, the way
- 58:02Speaker 10: writing in TV works. You never get to work with
- 58:05Speaker 10: each other again because everybody's off doing and creating their
- 58:08Speaker 10: own shows because they're all rock stars.
- 58:10Speaker 1: You know, Bill, I feel like if we I've been
- 58:13Speaker 1: talking so much shit on this freaking extended Family Press tour,
- 58:17Speaker 1: which comes on eight thirties on NBC and also on
- 58:20Speaker 1: Peacock the day after on Tuesday nights. The thing is,
- 58:24Speaker 1: I've been doing so much shit talking like people are
- 58:29Speaker 1: asking me Kelly. Kelly Clarkson asked me, yo, so what's
- 58:33Speaker 1: up with scrubs? And I've been going out there saying, Oh,
- 58:37Speaker 1: We're gonna fucking do it. We just got to get everybody.
- 58:39Speaker 5: Ig Is it not a mistake?
- 58:41Speaker 10: Billat the greatest honor in television?
- 58:47Speaker 2: Right?
- 58:47Speaker 6: So I want to ask you guys, are you were
- 58:49Speaker 6: all feeling about it?
- 58:51Speaker 10: Just just even as an idea is to be in
- 58:54Speaker 10: a position you get to do something fun creatively if
- 58:57Speaker 10: you want to I don't know something I still think
- 58:59Speaker 10: about a lot.
- 59:00Speaker 6: Is it you guys same way, Zach Johnny.
- 59:05Speaker 3: I got to tell you absolutely, and working with you
- 59:08Speaker 3: on on shrinking and collaborating with you makes me very
- 59:12Speaker 3: nostalgic for how fun it was. And then of course
- 59:15Speaker 3: doing this, I mean I cried, man, and I was
- 59:19Speaker 3: before you got on. I was saying, you know, my
- 59:20Speaker 3: eyes were welling when I was doing the hallway thing,
- 59:23Speaker 3: and then I turn around and no one's there, and
- 59:25Speaker 3: I got goosebumps. But then when I come outside and
- 59:28Speaker 3: you just look at me and totally straight say good night,
- 59:31Speaker 3: that I just started crying, like tears streaming down my face.
- 59:34Speaker 3: That was so I have just a very very special
- 59:37Speaker 3: place in my heart for this and all these people.
- 59:41Speaker 2: You know, you're young, and you do and you leave
- 59:42Speaker 2: it and you're like, yeah, that's a job, that's what
- 59:44Speaker 2: jobs are like, but they're not and you know they're not.
- 59:47Speaker 2: And then you watched like.
- 59:48Speaker 7: I watched the Finelly and.
- 59:53Speaker 2: The montage scene. I mean, I that song and I
- 59:57Speaker 2: was saying, it was amazing when before you guys came
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: out a t and I'm like, and then it cuts
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: to like all the behind the scene stuff of like
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: everyone being wrapped out and saying goodbye and hugging. And
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: I was a mess. I mean, that's not how it
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: usually is. And I, you know, I remember like it
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: was yesterday that day I was.
- 1:00:18Speaker 12: Henry was asking me about it because he started to
- 1:00:21Speaker 12: watch my son Henry and what you guys know. But
- 1:00:23Speaker 12: and I said, but you don't understand. We were all
- 1:00:28Speaker 12: we weren't like going a location. You know, we had
- 1:00:31Speaker 12: some locations, but we were all in a hospital together
- 1:00:35Speaker 12: with dogs, with the writers, with everybody, with everyone was there,
- 1:00:42Speaker 12: which is also so you.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: It's so unique like on any show after that, because
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: that was like my first job. There's been shows I've
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: done where you don't meet any of the writers at all.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: And we were all at the lunch truck together every
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: day or going down to the writer's room or hanging
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: out the hallway, and so it was so foreign to
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: me that, you know, you work on a show where
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: you literally don't ever interact with the whole writing staff.
- 1:01:10Speaker 12: And how about how when you saved that girl's life?
- 1:01:15Speaker 12: This girl is we had cake for someone, like if
- 1:01:18Speaker 12: it was someone's birthday, and she came up the stairs
- 1:01:21Speaker 12: and she booking and came up to where the actors
- 1:01:25Speaker 12: were and she was choking and Sarah did the Heimlich
- 1:01:28Speaker 12: and saved her life.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: Is that?
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: Are you guys sure that wasn't like a see story
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: on one of the episodes that.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Don't take this for me?
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Do not you remember.
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: I did?
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: I remember that now? And I was saying to these
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: guys before you guys came on, Like watching that montage
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: was like this, you know, flashboard of JD's life. But
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: for me, it was like this montage in my mind
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: after the episode finished, the credits world of that whole
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: eight years. It was these flashes of like the dogs
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: in the hallway and everybody having lunch together in the
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Money Tree on Friday nights, and like just the amount
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: that we laughed.
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: Yeah, I could watch it.
- 1:02:07Speaker 10: That montage seen Johnny C having to hug Zach or
- 1:02:12Speaker 10: makes me so happy.
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: The look on your face, the look on your face, hug.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: Oh my god, and look. Another one of my favorite
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: moments we haven't talked about yet is Johnny C telling
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: Sonny how much he loved Zach and how what a
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: spectacular person and doctory was and Zach's face, like that
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: face that was beautiful and like the inhale of the
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: breath you take.
- 1:02:42Speaker 12: Like this is guilty, all of us happy, like with
- 1:02:46Speaker 12: the song and the montage, like with the kids and
- 1:02:50Speaker 12: then laughing.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: But you predicted it, Bill, You predicted it. It's what
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: we have now. I don't have that with anybody else.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: You know what I mean. You predicted it. At the
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: end of the fucking show. You showed everybody this group
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: of people is special and we're gonna be together for
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: the rest of our lives. Our kids are going to
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: meet each other. You know what I mean. All of
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: this stuff, all of the things that happened at the
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: end of the show happened in real life, dude.
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: Except Johnny, except Johnny C in real life doesn't mind
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: it when we hold you.
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: That's the only thing't like me offering other people in
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: his bounty Zach.
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: Otherwise I don't know other people. The context of that
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: is we were Bill. Bill had a friend and come over,
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: and Bill offered the friend if he wanted an espresso
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: from Johnny's espresso machine, and Johnny was like, only only
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: I am allowed to offer he was that is my
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: he goes that, Johnny C goes, that is my bounty.
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: Why are you offering my bounty to change the way.
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: Everybody laughs and hear this stuff, but when it said
- 1:03:59Speaker 10: to you, it's not said like a haha moment.
- 1:04:03Speaker 9: Because he was surpriving me to flourish. You're taking that
- 1:04:08Speaker 9: away from me.
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: Take that away from me.
- 1:04:12Speaker 6: In like thirty seconds percent.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: Yeah, we use the Dodge pickup truck.
- 1:04:21Speaker 9: I like to go down and use the.
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: Golf check.
- 1:04:26Speaker 9: To bring your kids over and put them on the
- 1:04:27Speaker 9: fucking trampoline.
- 1:04:28Speaker 10: You go ahead, let me offer sometimes it's my bounty
- 1:04:32Speaker 10: to offer for I just I.
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: Just love that Johnny called his espresso pods his bounty.
- 1:04:41Speaker 9: I'll tell you when I was watching. When I was watching,
- 1:04:44Speaker 9: had a strange reaction to watching the finale. I just
- 1:04:48Speaker 9: I regret it not getting to know Sammy better than
- 1:04:51Speaker 9: I did, because I knew Sammy casually on the set.
- 1:04:54Speaker 9: But I guess I was selfishly too wrapped up on
- 1:04:57Speaker 9: my own ship and I never got to know Sammy.
- 1:04:59Speaker 9: And when I see him, and he's such a comic genius,
- 1:05:02Speaker 9: it always just destroys me and it fills me with regret,
- 1:05:05Speaker 9: love and all that. But I just I didn't get
- 1:05:07Speaker 9: to know him.
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: I played it whenever you see him.
- 1:05:10Speaker 9: That's how it impacts me.
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: I was lucky sees in my basketball game for twenty years.
- 1:05:14Speaker 10: He's a shockingly good basketball player, and uh, but what
- 1:05:17Speaker 10: a lovely you know.
- 1:05:18Speaker 6: We show and almost every they're talking about samm Lloyd
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: is Chris Lloyd's nephew.
- 1:05:24Speaker 10: Since if you notice the familiarity, but he played Ted
- 1:05:26Speaker 10: the Attorney. He was on Spin City too, he was
- 1:05:28Speaker 10: on Cougartown. I just he's been a buddy of mine
- 1:05:31Speaker 10: and just always thought he was a comedic genius and
- 1:05:34Speaker 10: my favorite if you have a chance to go back
- 1:05:36Speaker 10: and watch it. So I've showed almost every young actor
- 1:05:38Speaker 10: that talks about physical comedy is Sam.
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: In a scene with Donald he needed on a table
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: for his hand to slip and then to hit his
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: head on the table.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: Yeah, and there's.
- 1:05:49Speaker 10: A stunt person trying to show him how to do it.
- 1:05:51Speaker 10: He's like, I'm just going to do it.
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: It's one of the funniest things I've ever seen in
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: my life.
- 1:05:58Speaker 10: It looks soful, partially because he slams his head after
- 1:06:01Speaker 10: he slips, and then mostly because he drifts into Ken
- 1:06:04Speaker 10: Jenkins's lap and then just call.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: Talk about let's talk about a topic that I think
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: the audience will be super interested in. Is is Glenn
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: Matthews really the janitor's name?
- 1:06:18Speaker 9: Uh?
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:06:19Speaker 10: So we've had this argument a lot because Neil Flynn,
- 1:06:22Speaker 10: by the way, uh such a lovely dude. He wanted
- 1:06:26Speaker 10: to know. And then we talked about his name being Glenn.
- 1:06:30Speaker 10: We said for fun because you guys know, we used
- 1:06:32Speaker 10: to do weird Easter eggs. I do him on one
- 1:06:35Speaker 10: show to another show, like you know in I think
- 1:06:38Speaker 10: it's in the finale?
- 1:06:39Speaker 6: Is in the finale? You just watched it when Sarah's
- 1:06:42Speaker 6: given up her place and she lives with you.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:06:44Speaker 6: Yeah, And you say, I feel I should have been told.
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:49Speaker 10: That is a line from the pilot of Spin City.
- 1:06:55Speaker 6: Mike Fox's girlfriend carl Regina.
- 1:06:58Speaker 10: He said, everybody's coming over for work Tonight's there was
- 1:07:01Speaker 10: a crisis in the pilot. He's like, you'd probably crash
- 1:07:03Speaker 10: at your own place, and she's like, I don't have one,
- 1:07:05Speaker 10: and he got He's like what. She goes, I give
- 1:07:08Speaker 10: up my apartment like three months ago. He's like, so
- 1:07:10Speaker 10: we lived together. I feel like I shouldn't. And then
- 1:07:17Speaker 10: she's like that's She's like she's like always stops here.
- 1:07:20Speaker 10: Who did that picture of her? There's my parents? Who
- 1:07:22Speaker 10: do you think they were? He's like, I thought they
- 1:07:24Speaker 10: came with the frame and Mike was so good at it,
- 1:07:30Speaker 10: so we put east Eggs everything. The point of that
- 1:07:33Speaker 10: was Neil was like, all you guys nicely. Neil did
- 1:07:36Speaker 10: a voice of the janitor on calling High, and the
- 1:07:39Speaker 10: janitor's name on Going High was Glenn, and we decided
- 1:07:42Speaker 10: back then that his name would be Glenn. And we
- 1:07:44Speaker 10: came up with Matthews because Neil liked the joke of
- 1:07:48Speaker 10: having a list fort he his kid a kid, so
- 1:07:50Speaker 10: his name is Mafo.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: So when so in the world of scrubs, even though
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: he was in the fugitive, the name that which would
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: make you his name Neil Flynn. He clearly lied to
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: whoever created the credits.
- 1:08:04Speaker 10: There are so many friend janitor, so many people on
- 1:08:08Speaker 10: the on the Internet would say, obviously the janitor's name
- 1:08:11Speaker 10: is Neil Flyinn because of what it said. And then
- 1:08:13Speaker 10: in the writer's room we wasted a day arguing by saying,
- 1:08:18Speaker 10: if he's lied to everyone about his name, about where
- 1:08:22Speaker 10: he's from and what he does, which is why we
- 1:08:24Speaker 10: did that funny story then you could never say he
- 1:08:27Speaker 10: didn't lie about his name back then, So all that
- 1:08:30Speaker 10: it means is the janitor at one point was an
- 1:08:34Speaker 10: actor on The Fugitive who lied and said his name
- 1:08:36Speaker 10: was Neil Flynn.
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: But then when Deontay, when Deontay comes by and he says, hey,
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: Tommy that he's lying to Deontay.
- 1:08:47Speaker 12: His wife only has the pinky and four finger to Yeah.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: One of the best parts of this whole episode was
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: Neil's fucking run about midnight and tom.
- 1:09:04Speaker 10: And I said, my favorite, by the way, the only
- 1:09:12Speaker 10: thing in the finale that we hadn't figured out years before,
- 1:09:16Speaker 10: and I wish I could take credit for one of
- 1:09:18Speaker 10: the writers in the writer's room.
- 1:09:19Speaker 6: Was the idea that.
- 1:09:22Speaker 10: You did put a penny in the door, and the
- 1:09:24Speaker 10: janitors saw me do it.
- 1:09:27Speaker 6: That's that's why he's been tortured for nine years.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: That was such a That was such a great moment,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: man like, because I knew that he put the penny
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: in the door, because we've discussed this before.
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: Well, he didn't do it on purpose.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: I thought it was I thought there was going to
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: be a malicious story coming. And then he's like, fine,
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: I put the penny in the door. It fell out
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: of my pocket and it rolled all the way there,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: and I fucking I was nervous.
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: It was my first day. He goes, I know I
- 1:09:54Speaker 5: saw it.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: He's like, you knew this time. I was like, holy shit,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: that was great.
- 1:10:04Speaker 6: And they could have been by the way, they could
- 1:10:05Speaker 6: have been great friends.
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: They could have been.
- 1:10:09Speaker 10: Why we obsessed that in the writer's room because the
- 1:10:12Speaker 10: only two people that had ludicrous fantasy lives in their
- 1:10:16Speaker 10: brain were JD and the janitor. Theyre just said his
- 1:10:19Speaker 10: out loud about manatee and uh weird three fingered wives
- 1:10:24Speaker 10: and all that other stuff.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: Dreamanity didn't exist.
- 1:10:27Speaker 6: No, it's just but he's but JD said he saw him.
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: I think I saw him, man.
- 1:10:32Speaker 10: Yeah, but I think JD was just unconscious underwater. Okay, No,
- 1:10:36Speaker 10: it's funny.
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: We were we were on Shrinking last night and Bill
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: was saying someone something to someone like, I forgot what
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: what was the tea up? You said something like I
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: don't like things to get too broad, And I was like, really,
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: because I recall an ostriche. I recall an ostriche stealing
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: Donald's kango.
- 1:10:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:10:56Speaker 10: The worst the best broad moment on that show, which
- 1:11:00Speaker 10: when I just like the wheels were off.
- 1:11:02Speaker 6: It's true because Cabin is so good at what he does.
- 1:11:04Speaker 10: He's a production designer of all my shows and movies
- 1:11:07Speaker 10: and all this other stuff was we went. We left Friday,
- 1:11:10Speaker 10: and we'd written the janitor was living in a sand
- 1:11:14Speaker 10: castle he had built with like construction dirt in the
- 1:11:16Speaker 10: parking lot, and we expected to be like a kid's playhouse,
- 1:11:19Speaker 10: you know when you see those when you come in.
- 1:11:21Speaker 10: I driven to work Monday and there was like a
- 1:11:23Speaker 10: two story sick.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: I was like, oh no, let's take a break.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: We'll be right back after these fine words. Of all
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: my favorite moments that I have a couple of favorite
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: moments that are not fantasies that are in the show.
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: One is the janitor living in a two story sand castle.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: One is an Ostrich stealing Donald's can goo and acting
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: as a sentry and closed and then closing the gate
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: with his Paul whatever you claw. Number one and the
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: number one is me fitting in Donald's backpack.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: Backpack, you know.
- 1:12:09Speaker 6: The fantasy. Honorable mention is you as a flagpole.
- 1:12:15Speaker 10: Here's a flag on touble of the flagpole blowing in
- 1:12:18Speaker 10: the wind. You guys, have you guys got emotional at
- 1:12:23Speaker 10: that last line between me and Zach.
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: Did you guys, I got your.
- 1:12:27Speaker 10: Late di You talk a little bit about how I'm
- 1:12:29Speaker 10: a very underrated actor and people don't know.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: So that was we did you know what? Johnny C
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: bought it up and said, fucking he did, dude. But
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: that's part of why this is why you stuck the
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: why the show stuck the landing, dude, because you could
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: have been the chiefe factor at the end of it.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: Audio got the writer of the show to save the
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: final line.
- 1:12:48Speaker 5: But you fucking delivered, Dude.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: You done. Sorry, Christa, you know I love you, but
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: he fucking delivered. Yeah.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: I think you were better as melancholic Janitor than you
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: were as the East in the Bahamasha.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Now he was funny, he was pretty. You talk about
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: how they get h don't want anybody who the corner.
- 1:13:13Speaker 6: That was one of my favorite memories.
- 1:13:15Speaker 10: Because you guys might not remember this, but uh, and
- 1:13:18Speaker 10: probably not good to say this because I was on camera,
- 1:13:20Speaker 10: but we were all shmammered. I was just loaded on
- 1:13:23Speaker 10: and making jokes up, yeah, and directing and directing yeah always,
- 1:13:29Speaker 10: And you guys were all in the pool watching me, Riff.
- 1:13:33Speaker 6: And I remember I said some things of I.
- 1:13:36Speaker 10: Don't mean him about marriage, but I said, don't let
- 1:13:38Speaker 10: the other person ever use your card because they got
- 1:13:40Speaker 10: their stink all over.
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:46Speaker 6: Other things you can't say now.
- 1:13:48Speaker 10: I think said when you're in an argument with your
- 1:13:49Speaker 10: your spouse, never hit him above the waist or.
- 1:13:52Speaker 6: Something like that. Never say that now.
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: I like how you did the callback bill to the
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: giant any cs line about throwing the ibuprofen at the
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: patients and however much sticks in their mouth is the
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: right dosage.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: I was like, Yeah, such a good man.
- 1:14:11Speaker 6: So what do you guys? I'm not.
- 1:14:13Speaker 10: None of us have made any decisions, and it's always
- 1:14:16Speaker 10: fun to I think part of the fun of reliving
- 1:14:19Speaker 10: stuff and thinking about doing it again is you don't
- 1:14:20Speaker 10: ever know if you can recapture that. But do you
- 1:14:22Speaker 10: all creatively like in your heads, I always think that.
- 1:14:25Speaker 10: Like the cool thing about Scrubs is that if we
- 1:14:27Speaker 10: ever dated again, I feel like the world could use
- 1:14:31Speaker 10: a little kindness. I feel like it could use you know,
- 1:14:35Speaker 10: what you guys all brought was a I think you
- 1:14:38Speaker 10: all knew from the start that even though it was
- 1:14:40Speaker 10: a funny show, that you were supposed to act like
- 1:14:41Speaker 10: you gave a shit about your job and that you
- 1:14:43Speaker 10: were of service and kind. And I think it's I
- 1:14:48Speaker 10: always think it's a world that knew young people could
- 1:14:52Speaker 10: come into.
- 1:14:52Speaker 6: I mean, look, one of the most exciting things for me.
- 1:14:55Speaker 10: I don't know if it happens to you all as
- 1:14:56Speaker 10: actors and actresses, is a lot of my shows have
- 1:15:00Speaker 10: young writers on them, and some of them, you know, say, hey,
- 1:15:03Speaker 10: I got into comedy writings. I watched Scrubs when I
- 1:15:06Speaker 10: was It makes me feel old. But like when I
- 1:15:07Speaker 10: was in junior high and stuff. Do you guys ever
- 1:15:10Speaker 10: get that stuff?
- 1:15:11Speaker 6: You do?
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: You do?
- 1:15:12Speaker 10: You run into people that comedically kind of found their
- 1:15:14Speaker 10: way watching you all work.
- 1:15:15Speaker 6: I mean, I've heard it for Johnny C. I've heard
- 1:15:18Speaker 6: it for just being around Zach sometimes. But that part.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: Comes at me from everywhere. It comes at me from
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: like on every job that I've on, every job that
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: I've been on, somebody has said, you know, but Scrubs
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: was my show. I really love Scrubs. And it doesn't
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: just happen once in a while. On any job that
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: I'm on, I'll get it from multiple people, you know
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: what I mean. It's like, you know, we were talking
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: the other day and about how shows connect with people
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: and how you know when you have a connection with
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: the show, you you care about it, and it's it's
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: you're really passionate about it, and you just want to
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: spread that joy with other people. I think our show
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: is is that I think we had a core audience,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: I think, and it was a huge audience. I think
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: we're bigger now than we were back then because our
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: core audience has introduced it to their children, to their friends,
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And so now wherever I go,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: I've been in a lot of stuff, Dude, I've been
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I've been in a lot
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: of stuff. Johnny's been in a lot of things, you know,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: Sarah's been in a lot of stuff. Zach, you're still working.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: You're still working. You're still working. And and Christal, dude,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: you're on like every hit show that's ever been on
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: television in.
- 1:16:39Speaker 6: The last for sixty five years.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Buddy, buddy, Buddy, Well, I've never been approached as much
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: as I have for Scrubs anything more than anything. And
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: it's not just like a caaally, it's every day, every day,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: every day. And that's that's saying something that's that means something,
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: that's you know what I mean. As an I was
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: saying this early. As an actor, you hope you make
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: a footprint. You hope you have the opportunity to work
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: with such great people and that it carries on after
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: the show is over. Does that happen for the majority
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: of us out there? No, it doesn't. I got fucking lucky, dude,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: and I got to be a part of something really
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: really good. And it took a fucking podcast and all
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: of this stuff for me to realize it. I mean, like, dude,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: for me, I'm fifty years old this year, and I'm
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: fucking looking back at when I was twenty six to
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: thirty three, Like, damn man, I fucking had some dope
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: shit in my life and I didn't fucking realize it.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: And if I could just turn back time, Like if
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: I could just if there was a way to just
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: get in the machine and go back there.
- 1:17:51Speaker 6: People are like, oh my, the like that my Instagram.
- 1:17:54Speaker 6: They love you, guys, they love it.
- 1:17:56Speaker 11: We're all so family.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: Yeah, man, I love that more than anything I was
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: saying that early. I love the fact that it's dude,
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: it's us, man, it's you know what I mean, and
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: it's still us regardless of what we all do, regardless
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: of where we all go and stuff like that. At
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: the end of the day, it's still us. Yo, We're
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: still here.
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: It's still it's our time down here.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: Exactly exactly.
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: I had that too, Like it's in terms of you know,
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: what you're saying, has people approached you. It's It's interesting
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: because it happens on a few different levels, like people
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: approached you so often. Doctors saying like, obviously, this is
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: the show that inspired them. My little sister is a doctor,
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: and and when I went to her medical school graduation,
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: like all of the doctors were like, this is the show,
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: this is what inspired me, this is what made me
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: want to be a doctor. And then in terms of acting,
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: you know the same thing, like the little the actress
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: that played me as young Kate on Firefly Lane, she
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: was so sweet, like she said, all of your She's like,
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: I had just knew year mannerisms just from growing up
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: with Scrubs, and she's like, that's why I got the
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: part because I just had, you know, watched the show
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: all the time. And then the last part, I think
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: is like everybody who comes up to you that just
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: says it's gotten me through. And that's the ones that
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: just kind of like choke you up a little bit,
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: like obviously hugely through the pandemic, but also before that,
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: just saying like I or people that reach out to
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: you through Instagram or Twitter or whatever, just saying like,
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: I'm having such a hard time and Scrubs is fucking
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: getting me through. It's just like, it's so lucky and
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: rare and cool to be a part of something that
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: provided that for people.
- 1:19:38Speaker 6: Yeah, people come with kindness, you want to know.
- 1:19:41Speaker 10: The worst version of this is we're going to make
- 1:19:42Speaker 10: you guys laugh and hopefully identify with it. And I
- 1:19:45Speaker 10: got to say it and wait, it's nice because he
- 1:19:47Speaker 10: was so nice. So I had to go to the
- 1:19:51Speaker 10: Critics Choice Awards because I'm very important. If you guys
- 1:19:53Speaker 10: hit on House, it is a right review. But that
- 1:19:56Speaker 10: was my favorite moment by the Separate Nothing. If you
- 1:19:58Speaker 10: didn't watch the Critics Choice Words, go back and watch it.
- 1:20:01Speaker 10: Because Donald was supposed to be presenting and we made
- 1:20:03Speaker 10: eyes with each other and I left my table and
- 1:20:06Speaker 10: he left his presenting and we hugged and get it.
- 1:20:11Speaker 6: But it kind of represents the show.
- 1:20:13Speaker 10: But it was one of those award shows Mixed Movies
- 1:20:17Speaker 10: and TV and the DP of.
- 1:20:20Speaker 6: My new show one of my new shows was U
- 1:20:23Speaker 6: did with the DP of the show The Great and
- 1:20:25Speaker 6: the guy that created The Great and ran it.
- 1:20:27Speaker 10: Anthony McNamara also wrote the movie Poor Things, and romy
- 1:20:32Speaker 10: Yusef who was in Poor Things toid, Hey, you know,
- 1:20:33Speaker 10: Anthony McNamara wants to meet you because he's a big
- 1:20:36Speaker 10: Scrubs guy, you know. And and I met him and
- 1:20:40Speaker 10: he was so nice, and you know, he said kind
- 1:20:42Speaker 10: of paraphrasing, but he's like, yeah, kind of Scrubs, you know,
- 1:20:45Speaker 10: helped me, you know, want to be a comedy writer.
- 1:20:47Speaker 10: And you know, when I was a kid, I was
- 1:20:49Speaker 10: such a fan and lovely story. Except as I'm looking
- 1:20:54Speaker 10: at him, I'm like, I think he's older than me.
- 1:21:00Speaker 6: Really bothered me right on some levels. I literally went
- 1:21:03Speaker 6: back to I tell you what. Everybody's like, that's so cool.
- 1:21:06Speaker 6: He's such a talented, good guy.
- 1:21:07Speaker 10: I'm like, yeah, but he kind of said Scruggs was
- 1:21:10Speaker 10: a big thing for him when he was a kid.
- 1:21:12Speaker 6: And we have the same.
- 1:21:13Speaker 5: Age amage.
- 1:21:17Speaker 6: Be also fifty five, So.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: Bill, you were the youngest showrunner on television at the time,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: weren't you.
- 1:21:25Speaker 5: I'm back in thirty two, thirty.
- 1:21:27Speaker 6: One may days I ran in s finn City when
- 1:21:28Speaker 6: I was twenty six. That's crazy, crazy.
- 1:21:31Speaker 3: I love that you came back from the compliment and
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: promptly googled his age.
- 1:21:38Speaker 6: Like none of you would.
- 1:21:40Speaker 10: If somebody, by the way, it's somebody that looked exactly
- 1:21:42Speaker 10: like you said when I was a kid.
- 1:21:45Speaker 6: You made me want to become an.
- 1:21:46Speaker 10: Actor old on that dude's a crazy talent of those movies,
- 1:21:53Speaker 10: gonna win a bunch of Oscars.
- 1:21:54Speaker 6: It's really nice too. I liked The Great too.
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: I loved the Great and uh and also or things.
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: One thing I wanted to say was, you know, when
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: when I was younger making this show, I didn't really
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: have any experience with doctors and hospitals other than you know,
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: a checkup. And in the years since I've had unfortunately,
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: you know, losing people and people getting sick, having experience
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: with hospitals and doctors and nurses and being so in
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: their in their debt and loving them for being angels,
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: and it really reframed you know, I didn't have any
- 1:22:27Speaker 3: experience playing this character with that, and now I see
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: it totally in a different new light. How how grateful
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: you are when you're in the position of having a
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: sick loved one to have great nurses and doctors, and
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: how much of an impact they can they can have
- 1:22:44Speaker 3: on your life.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: And how great is this to be a part of
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: Scrubs though too that they watched, because look, man, that
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: shit has helped me out when I go to the hospital.
- 1:22:55Speaker 6: The b side, Man, how many dolls said it? Chrisa,
- 1:22:58Speaker 6: how many of you have done this? Just did this
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: forty hours ago.
- 1:23:02Speaker 10: My mom has to get a surgery and it's the
- 1:23:05Speaker 10: male clinic in Jacksonville in Florida, and it's hard to
- 1:23:08Speaker 10: get scheduled. And she's like, can you get on the
- 1:23:12Speaker 10: zoom when I'm going to talk to the doctor and
- 1:23:13Speaker 10: maybe you could help out.
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: And I just had this idea by I'm going to
- 1:23:17Speaker 6: help for this.
- 1:23:17Speaker 10: But anyways, I go on and he's a lovely young
- 1:23:20Speaker 10: Nigerian surgeon, probably late thirties, early forties, which mathematically in
- 1:23:24Speaker 10: my head is working.
- 1:23:25Speaker 6: Out, you know what I mean.
- 1:23:26Speaker 10: And I'm like, you know, my moms you might have
- 1:23:29Speaker 10: to wait like four months for this surgery. And I'm like,
- 1:23:32Speaker 10: oh man, you know I literally was. I didn't even
- 1:23:35Speaker 10: slide it in. I'm like, I created this show. It's
- 1:23:38Speaker 10: called Scrubs, so I know a little bit about it.
- 1:23:40Speaker 10: And he completely you've read my mother and my mom's
- 1:23:44Speaker 10: getting the surgery in two weeks now, and I feel
- 1:23:49Speaker 10: fine about it, you know what I mean. But he
- 1:23:51Speaker 10: be like, oh my gosh, man, that was one of
- 1:23:52Speaker 10: the shows I watched, like in high school, and I
- 1:23:54Speaker 10: just kind of decided to be a doctor.
- 1:23:56Speaker 6: Have you all used that?
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, are you kidding me? Yes.
- 1:23:59Speaker 9: One time I was at the doctor's office and the
- 1:24:01Speaker 9: nurse was talking about how she'd had a loss in
- 1:24:03Speaker 9: her family of people dying relatively close in time to
- 1:24:08Speaker 9: each other, and I said, well, in the community, we
- 1:24:10Speaker 9: call that tok a super bowl cardio myopathy.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:24:14Speaker 9: And they were like, what community. I'm like, well, I
- 1:24:16Speaker 9: suspended my practice about ten years ago, but in the
- 1:24:18Speaker 9: doctor community.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: You actually went into full doctor mode. Like I'm a doctor.
- 1:24:27Speaker 5: I was a donor.
- 1:24:28Speaker 9: But Billy wrote the hardest Latin in the history of
- 1:24:30Speaker 9: the world, tokasubow cardio myopathy, And for some reason that
- 1:24:34Speaker 9: shit stuck in my brain. I'm like, might as well
- 1:24:37Speaker 9: throw it out as well throw it out.
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: Okay, but did you guys, do you guys find I
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: found when we were doing scrubs and you know, everything
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: comes up and Huntington's disease and this and that, like
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: I was twenty four and whatever. Now watching it, I
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: was like, now, I would one hundred percent think I
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: had every single thing that we discussed in the episode.
- 1:24:57Speaker 12: Well, well out the doctor dir if anyone is sick,
- 1:25:01Speaker 12: he's like, I ran a medical team.
- 1:25:03Speaker 6: I've done more research than that. I think it seems
- 1:25:05Speaker 6: like lime disease to me. I got it.
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: Well. I think the consensus is that we love each other.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: Oh my god, with all my heart.
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: And I love this podcast, Like I know you always
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: say I never listened to it, but I do listen
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: to it, and it was so calming to me, weirdly
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: in the pandemic at the beginning when everything was so uncertain.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: Thank you, sir.
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: I remember one time, I really much thank you for
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: doing it so I would I would literally like I
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: remember certain times where like when I got COVID the
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: first time, and I remember listening to the podcast and
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: your voices would I would laugh and your voices would
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: calm me. And now I listened to it like when
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: I'm hiking and I hate wearing air pods, and so
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: I'll just listen to it out loud, like I'm the
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: annoying person that's on the trails with it out loud.
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: And then walk by this old couple and it's like
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: in a good feedback on Vagina's joel.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: And then.
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: Before you know, that's anal bleaching or whatever is you know,
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: the discussion of the.
- 1:26:05Speaker 3: Day roxing not bleaching. Oh yeah, we did discuss bleaching.
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: We touched on bleaching.
- 1:26:11Speaker 6: On bleaching.
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: Oh my god, it's a medical thing. It's medical.
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: Yeah, we were wrong about all the details of bleaching.
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: But I will do a following.
- 1:26:20Speaker 13: Up, right, we're wrong about Okay, what are you guys
- 1:26:24Speaker 13: doing next up? So I think that the general thing
- 1:26:27Speaker 13: is we all love each other. I'll add Judy and
- 1:26:30Speaker 13: Neil and Ken and you know.
- 1:26:32Speaker 6: To that that cool and Rob.
- 1:26:34Speaker 10: I like everybody to see each other in real life,
- 1:26:36Speaker 10: and I hope we get to One of the gifts
- 1:26:39Speaker 10: I've had is I've gotten to work with all of
- 1:26:41Speaker 10: you at least a couple.
- 1:26:43Speaker 6: Of times, you know, on the whether it.
- 1:26:46Speaker 10: Was even guesting on a live show or Johnny c
- 1:26:49Speaker 10: doing a multi cam which he killed it in, or
- 1:26:51Speaker 10: Zach not only being in Bad Monkey, but direct and
- 1:26:55Speaker 10: Stuff and my Chalk.
- 1:26:56Speaker 6: We even try to make shows together, you know, about
- 1:26:58Speaker 6: your your life growing up.
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: So dude, we tried to make a show about going
- 1:27:02Speaker 5: to Mars.
- 1:27:03Speaker 10: I know, by the way, which is where I met
- 1:27:05Speaker 10: Roy Kent. It all comes around.
- 1:27:06Speaker 5: We met Roy Kent. That's right.
- 1:27:09Speaker 10: I love that guy, the Bret Coldstein helped me write
- 1:27:11Speaker 10: that show with that Amstekie and stuff. Point is, I
- 1:27:14Speaker 10: always like everybody out there to know that we love
- 1:27:18Speaker 10: each other so much. We constantly find ways to try
- 1:27:20Speaker 10: and work with each other anyway, you know. And so
- 1:27:24Speaker 10: if we ever do Scrubs again, it'll be because we
- 1:27:27Speaker 10: want to kind of spend time with each other and
- 1:27:30Speaker 10: we think we can still make it fun and valid
- 1:27:32Speaker 10: and cool.
- 1:27:33Speaker 6: But I hope we get to do it. What do
- 1:27:35Speaker 6: you guys doing next to your podcasts?
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: Though?
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: Are you going right into other shows?
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: I'm trying to do the next season.
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: We're going to do nine because we genuinely have not
- 1:27:43Speaker 3: either one of us. Whereas Donald didn't watch eight years
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: of Scrubs, I did, I just never watched nine. So
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: we're gonna watch.
- 1:27:49Speaker 10: I ask you guys to do something to open mind
- 1:27:51Speaker 10: because there's snark out there sometimes on the internet.
- 1:27:54Speaker 6: And I've said.
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: Before snark on the internet.
- 1:27:57Speaker 6: I swear hear me out.
- 1:27:59Speaker 10: I've said said before that I thought the first thirteen
- 1:28:04Speaker 10: episodes of that you know with the remember that show,
- 1:28:07Speaker 10: and they asked me to do it. I said, we
- 1:28:09Speaker 10: do it as a spin off, and it'll be called
- 1:28:11Speaker 10: either called Med School. And then they said, we at
- 1:28:14Speaker 10: least called Scrubs med but it's a new show, and
- 1:28:17Speaker 10: I was like yeah, and then they panicked and titled
- 1:28:19Speaker 10: it scrubs because that's how TV works, right. I want
- 1:28:23Speaker 10: you guys to, if you do it, to watch it
- 1:28:24Speaker 10: as if this is a brand new show and the
- 1:28:29Speaker 10: bar hadn't been set because it wasn't named Scrubs. It
- 1:28:32Speaker 10: was named Med School because I thought some not only
- 1:28:35Speaker 10: you know do I always like watching you know you
- 1:28:37Speaker 10: four work, but I thought some of those young people
- 1:28:40Speaker 10: were super talented.
- 1:28:41Speaker 6: And proof is in the pudding.
- 1:28:43Speaker 10: You know a lot of them are working and doing
- 1:28:46Speaker 10: their own shows and movies to this day.
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: You know, I forget the young Asian guy's name. He
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: had a full career on two Broke Girls.
- 1:28:53Speaker 10: Yeah, Mosley, I never watched this, but he's a star
- 1:28:57Speaker 10: of some show One Afternoon.
- 1:28:59Speaker 6: He was one of the leads of the Mentalists for
- 1:29:02Speaker 6: a while.
- 1:29:02Speaker 10: Elizah Coop, you guys know is everywhere.
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: Well. I just want to say, obviously, Bill, thank you
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: so much for for this experience and for these friendships,
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: because I I don't think any of us could have
- 1:29:21Speaker 3: guessed that we'd still all be this close this many
- 1:29:23Speaker 3: years later, and.
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: It all tell us, guys, it all came down.
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: To you.
- 1:29:28Speaker 6: Cares.
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: I mean like that was that was That's what gave
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: us our careers.
- 1:29:35Speaker 3: Were second, Sara, you were second Becky, so you I was.
- 1:29:38Speaker 10: Not doing anybody any favors. You are all massively talented,
- 1:29:42Speaker 10: and this is not one of those gigs where we're
- 1:29:45Speaker 10: reminiscing because nobody has seen any of your None of
- 1:29:48Speaker 10: you will be in where are they now because everybody
- 1:29:50Speaker 10: works as much as they want to, because you're all
- 1:29:52Speaker 10: very very He asked me what I'm really good at.
- 1:29:54Speaker 10: I'm really good at casting and trusting other people's in
- 1:29:58Speaker 10: my casting department's opinion about who's awesome. I remember because
- 1:30:01Speaker 10: Chris and I had just kind of moved into the
- 1:30:03Speaker 10: house that she built for herself. I remember where our
- 1:30:07Speaker 10: pilot table read was.
- 1:30:08Speaker 6: Is that what the read through was?
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: That was get christ just standing at the bottom of
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: the stairs looking giving you the dart eyes like you
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: motherfucker you woke, you wrote Charlotte up. I will never
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: forget that. I looked over and you had a sweater on,
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: and it was like, had the what is it? What
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: is it when the sweater has like the the diamonds
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: and stuff like that. What's that sweater on?
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: I remember that?
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: And you were standing at the top of it, not
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: at the top of the bottom of the stairs, looking
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: at him like what the fucker you said? It was
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: like if the look on your eyes? I was like's
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: in trouble?
- 1:30:43Speaker 3: Late?
- 1:30:43Speaker 11: Did you get?
- 1:30:44Speaker 6: You know?
- 1:30:45Speaker 3: Now?
- 1:30:45Speaker 9: I know?
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: Now?
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: I know for sure.
- 1:30:46Speaker 10: Now I knew the show was good besides the fact
- 1:30:49Speaker 10: you guys were all great, because Christa was the star
- 1:30:51Speaker 10: of the tow Carry Show at the time and it
- 1:30:53Speaker 10: was a hit, and she sat in and watched your
- 1:30:55Speaker 10: first read and then that night when we were kind
- 1:30:58Speaker 10: of hanging out talking about She's like, I should do
- 1:30:59Speaker 10: some of the.
- 1:31:03Speaker 6: You don't want from your wife? Man, Hey, do you
- 1:31:05Speaker 6: want to ever be on it. Oh no, I wouldn't
- 1:31:07Speaker 6: be good on that show, right right.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: I say this, I say this, and I mean this,
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: and I think this is for real. With everything that
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: has come, if we were to put the same writers together,
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: same cast together, the experience, the ep that has come
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: from when we wrapped the final season of Scrubs season
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: eight to now, I think we got a fucking dynamite show.
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: Bringing Tarsis, bringing uh, bringing Neil, bringing you know what
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: I mean? Like this ship Gabby, Oh my gosh, just
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: think about all these people are studs or at other places.
- 1:31:52Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: Like, everybody's doing their things someplace else. Gabby's killing that ship.
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: She didn't Fridays.
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: Have to work Fridays. We bring everybody back together. Holy,
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: Like my mouth is watering.
- 1:32:07Speaker 3: All right, Well, audience, stay tuned to see what happens
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: with that, and we will continue with season nine next.
- 1:32:14Speaker 3: I want to really thank Joel. This was such a
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: fun surprise. You really got us. Thank you guys for
- 1:32:18Speaker 3: coming on.
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: Especially after watching that episode. Oh my god.
- 1:32:23Speaker 3: I love you guys, Joel, and I love how you
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: like like scheduled it so everyone came in on their own.
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: You're good.
- 1:32:30Speaker 7: You're good and I came in ready, my headphones are working.
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: Yeah, it took a half hour get audio there.
- 1:32:38Speaker 6: Look at my wife. How much we love each other
- 1:32:40Speaker 6: now after seeing that, Yeah, she just whispered that we're
- 1:32:44Speaker 6: totally going to hook up when this is over.
- 1:32:47Speaker 2: Christ you know, thanks hanging out.
- 1:32:51Speaker 3: On behalf of on behalf of all of us. Would
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: you just give him a little action today as a
- 1:32:56Speaker 3: thank you.
- 1:32:58Speaker 11: You always do this to me. Then and then he's
- 1:33:01Speaker 11: like Zach said.
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: It all right, good luck it doesn't.
- 1:33:08Speaker 6: By the way, guys, that's not that's not why I
- 1:33:10Speaker 6: love Kristen. I don't even care if it happens.
- 1:33:13Speaker 3: Yes, you're so full of it, Bill, I think I
- 1:33:16Speaker 3: think it's only appropriate Bill if you count us out.
- 1:33:19Speaker 14: At the end of the episode, very sadly, stories that
- 1:33:26Speaker 14: show we made about a bunch of talks and nurses, and.
- 1:33:32Speaker 5: He said, he's the stories nets.
- 1:33:36Speaker 3: No so YadA round here, yeahda round here up swet
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: for me ses
