- 0:41Speaker 2: can be found on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, anywhere you can
- 0:43Speaker 2: get your podcasts. Austin, Game Week's here. We made it.
- 0:49Speaker 3: It's just not that fun.
- 0:53Speaker 4: It's just weird.
- 0:55Speaker 2: You know what? I feel like I finally got some
- 0:59Speaker 2: excitement about Husker football here last few days. I feel
- 1:04Speaker 2: like every day this week is going to be wearing
- 1:05Speaker 2: my Husker gear. It's not Kool-Aid. It's not Kool-Aid, but
- 1:21Speaker 2: it is, I don't know, it's just, it's, That abusive relationship,
- 1:27Speaker 2: that's what it is, I guess. You just can't get
- 1:29Speaker 2: out of it, and we're at a high right now.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Oh, you know.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Last year, you sipped a little Kool-Aid mid-season, so there's
- 1:38Speaker 3: still time for some Kool-Aid drinking.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Well, hopefully we start the way that we hope we do.
- 1:46Speaker 2: So today, what we're doing, Austin and I are going
- 1:49Speaker 2: to quickly, rapid-fire go through.
- 1:54Speaker 2: A scenario, how we think the season could go. And
- 1:57Speaker 2: this could be, I mean, floor or ceiling, what you
- 2:00Speaker 2: actually think will happen, but one possible outcome is what
- 2:05Speaker 2: we're doing. And describing what that outcome is, obviously there's
- 2:08Speaker 2: a bunch, and we're probably, neither of us are going
- 2:11Speaker 2: to hit exactly what will happen. But it'll be a
- 2:15Speaker 2: fun little game. You get a minute to describe how
- 2:18Speaker 2: the scenario will go and the outcome of it, and
- 2:20Speaker 2: then the next person will go. Yep.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I'm wondering how many of our scenarios are going to overlap. So,
- 2:27Speaker 3: you know, I'm worried.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Well, if it tells you anything, I have not wrote
- 2:34Speaker 2: one of the scenarios down yet. I'm spitballing.
- 2:39Speaker 3: I have mentally, you know, I've gone through and I
- 2:44Speaker 3: came up with a couple. But then if we overlap
- 2:46Speaker 3: a lot, then it's off the cuff. But I already
- 2:50Speaker 3: know my worst case scenario is Well, hey.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Let's do this. We will not reveal what we think
- 2:58Speaker 2: our most likely scenario is until the end. So you
- 3:01Speaker 2: can go in any order you want. But we're going
- 3:05Speaker 2: to play the numbers here. We'll go broad spectrum and
- 3:10Speaker 2: you can throw anything you want. So you want to
- 3:11Speaker 2: go first?
- 3:14Speaker 4: Sure.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Let's start with the realistic best case scenario. Realistic best
- 3:19Speaker 3: case scenario. We go 10 and 2. We win Iowa, Washington,
- 3:27Speaker 3: and we squeak out one of the Oregon, Indiana, Ohio
- 3:32Speaker 3: State wins. And if that happens, realistically, we make the
- 3:37Speaker 3: college football playoffs. From there, I don't know what would happen,
- 3:40Speaker 3: but the best-case scenario is everything works from that rule.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Calandra looks like a freaking stud. Defense comes together, and
- 3:50Speaker 3: we beat all the teams that, you know, are– within
- 3:54Speaker 3: our or we're either supposed to be or are within
- 3:59Speaker 3: you know similar playing field or we consider to be
- 4:01Speaker 3: similar playing field even though historically the last 10 seasons
- 4:04Speaker 3: have not been like the illinois and iowas and you
- 4:08Speaker 3: know last couple years we've gotten close to being you
- 4:10Speaker 3: know we've done decently against some of those hired hired
- 4:13Speaker 3: seated teams we just haven't been able to finish the
- 4:15Speaker 3: job and maybe we catch ohio state or indiana on
- 4:20Speaker 3: a rough week and squeak one out, and we go 10-2.
- 4:24Speaker 3: I think that's the realistic best-case scenario.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Well, I'm just going to piggyback and go, I'm not
- 4:31Speaker 2: even going to say it's realistic, but I'm just going
- 4:32Speaker 2: to say, what about this scenario? 3-0 start, on the road,
- 4:37Speaker 2: Michigan State, Maryland, win-win, Indiana comes to town, ranked, we're
- 4:43Speaker 2: ranked top 25, upset, storm field, everybody goes nuts, 6-0,
- 4:48Speaker 2: go to Oregon, we're riding that momentum.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Dylan Riola somehow is playing snaps. We go out there. Win.
- 4:58Speaker 2: We storm the field in Oregon with the Husker fans.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Then we come back. Win. Win. Against Washington. We go
- 5:11Speaker 2: at Rutgers. Win. At Illinois.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Win.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Ohio State comes to town. We're now a top five team.
- 5:17Speaker 2: That doesn't matter. Win. At Iowa. Instead of getting killed,
- 5:24Speaker 2: we go out there. We beat them 45-10. Win.
- 5:28Speaker 1: 12-0.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Big Ten Championship. We rematch against Oregon. Don't matter. Win. Undefeated.
- 5:39Speaker 2: We have the season of Indiana playoffs. Number one team
- 5:43Speaker 2: in the country. Win. Win. Win. Maddie.
- 5:48Speaker 4: You've been playing too much NCAA. football, I think. That
- 5:54Speaker 4: is a scenario.
- 5:56Speaker 3: The probability is not zero, but it's probably. 01 if
- 6:04Speaker 3: I had to put.
- 6:07Speaker 4: The actual odds on it.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I'm sure there's some fans out there who agree with you.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Let's give you this scenario here. We go out I
- 6:22Speaker 3: don't think I'm going to give you any scenario where
- 6:24Speaker 3: we lose Ohio State Bowling Green, even though it is possible.
- 6:28Speaker 4: I just, you know, I'm just not. It's not. We
- 6:32Speaker 4: got 3-0. Michigan State, they've got Patty Fitzgerald, Helen. We
- 6:38Speaker 4: lose a close one to Michigan State. We're 3-1. Go
- 6:40Speaker 4: to Maryland, we win.
- 6:43Speaker 3: 3-2.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Come home, Indiana. Cleans our clock.
- 6:46Speaker 1: 3-3.
- 6:46Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Yeah, we're 3-2 after Indiana. Oregon, we lose to Oregon, 3-3. Washington,
- 6:59Speaker 3: big blackout game. We lose, 3-4. Illinois, we have a
- 7:06Speaker 3: recovery game. We're 4-4 now. We have three games left.
- 7:12Speaker 3: We beat Rutgers, and we lose to Ohio State and Indiana.
- 7:16Speaker 4: So now we're 5-7. With no.
- 7:23Speaker 3: reason to keep Matt Rule except for financially.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Don't make a bowl game. Season's over.
- 7:30Speaker 3: We paid too much money to Matt Rule. We have
- 7:34Speaker 3: to fire Matt Rule. And we start the next head
- 7:38Speaker 3: coaching search in 2027.
- 7:41Speaker 2: So you say we have to fire Matt Rule. I mean,
- 7:48Speaker 2: we don't have to, but we're fired.
- 7:52Speaker 4: At five and seven, the.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Amount of money spent, I think at that point, you
- 8:02Speaker 3: lost all your ranked opponents.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Three of your wins are against teams you're paying to play, basically.
- 8:10Speaker 4: I don't know. Maybe you don't.
- 8:14Speaker 3: That's tricky. That's not quite a worst-case scenario for me
- 8:20Speaker 3: because There's a similar worst case scenario, but I'll save
- 8:25Speaker 3: that one.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Well, I'll go through one here. All these, I want
- 8:32Speaker 2: you to think about where your head's at. The purpose
- 8:34Speaker 2: of this podcast, I guess, is to sit and know
- 8:38Speaker 2: where you're going to feel as a fan if this
- 8:41Speaker 2: scenario does happen and try to prepare for all the
- 8:45Speaker 2: possible outcomes. My last outcome, I don't know. I don't know.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Never been there, so I'm not sure how I would react.
- 8:54Speaker 3: It would be similar to my basketball experience this last year,
- 8:57Speaker 3: you know.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Let's go all-star same way. 3-0 here. I head to
- 9:04Speaker 2: Michigan State. Give me a loss in this one. You know,
- 9:10Speaker 2: go out there and we lay an egg. Then we
- 9:16Speaker 2: beat Maryland, come back, actually do a good job bouncing back.
- 9:20Speaker 2: We play Indiana at home and we almost win. We
- 9:24Speaker 2: actually should win the game. But a bad snap on
- 9:31Speaker 2: the game-winning field goal as we are tied goes bad.
- 9:39Speaker 2: We go to overtime and lose in overtime. Go out
- 9:44Speaker 2: to Oregon.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Demolished.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Come back against Washington. We're not favored. We're not supposed
- 9:52Speaker 2: to win. Halloween. We win.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Handily. 31-14.
- 9:59Speaker 2: We go to Illinois. We ride that momentum. We win.
- 10:07Speaker 2: We travel the Rutgers as a 14.5 point favorite. Loss.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Just the rollercoaster of rollercoaster seasons. Come back against Ohio State.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Similar to the Indiana game. We bounce back well, but
- 10:23Speaker 2: we don't win. Not quite as dramatic as Indiana, but
- 10:27Speaker 2: we lose by a touchdown. Then we go to Iowa.
- 10:31Speaker 2: We pull off the win at Kinnick Stadium. I have
- 10:35Speaker 2: no idea what that puts us at.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Well, in that, you have us losing to Indiana, Oregon, Ohio.
- 10:47Speaker 2: State, Rutgers, and Michigan State.
- 10:50Speaker 4: 7-5.
- 10:52Speaker 2: 7-5 season. We are definitely coming out of it happy.
- 10:57Speaker 4: You think so? The Iowa win.
- 11:03Speaker 2: And we had two close losses. Really good teams.
- 11:11Speaker 4: I think so.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Alright, you're up.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Alright, this one might be For this one, I want
- 11:18Speaker 3: you to put your thinking hat on here. We start 5-0.
- 11:24Speaker 3: We go in, and we don't go in. We lose
- 11:31Speaker 3: to Indiana close, like field goal close. So now we
- 11:36Speaker 3: are 5-1. We go in, we play Oregon, and Calandra
- 11:44Speaker 3: gets hurt. It's a close, close game.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Four quarters. Calandria gets hurt. Start of the fourth quarter.
- 11:51Speaker 4: We lose.
- 11:53Speaker 3: What seemed like a game that we probably could have won.
- 11:55Speaker 3: We might even have the lead before he gets hurt.
- 11:59Speaker 3: So we're 5-2 now. We proceed to lose. We have
- 12:06Speaker 3: our backup quarterback. We lose Washington. We beat Illinois.
- 12:12Speaker 4: Beat Rutgers. We beat Illinois. Beat Rutgers. Lose Ohio State.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Lose Iowa.
- 12:19Speaker 3: All in horrible fashion. Similar to last year, some may say.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Get our clock cleaned by Iowa.
- 12:26Speaker 4: We're now 7-5.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Maybe 6-6. I don't remember exactly. And we looked horrible
- 12:33Speaker 3: the last half of the season with our backup quarterback.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Nothing was close. Except for the one win where we
- 12:39Speaker 3: squeaked it out in a 13-12 bang. But What would
- 12:48Speaker 3: you feel?
- 12:49Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 12:52Speaker 4: We're 6-6. We go to a bowl game and we
- 12:55Speaker 4: get our clocks cleaned again.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I'm moving on to a new coach, unfortunately.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Basically, I'm saying the exact same thing as last year happens.
- 13:09Speaker 4: That might be my worst case scenario.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Well, and this is So this isn't my worst case
- 13:16Speaker 2: scenario I'm doing next, but I think it's definitely a
- 13:19Speaker 2: plausible one. 3-0 to start. And we go to Michigan State,
- 13:28Speaker 2: lose a close game on the road. I think that
- 13:33Speaker 2: Michigan State game is one of the biggest games this
- 13:37Speaker 2: season because of this reason. Now if we win it,
- 13:40Speaker 2: it might not end up being the biggest game, but
- 13:43Speaker 2: if we lose it, I seriously think, from that point on,
- 13:47Speaker 2: the wheels could definitely fall off. Everything. And it may
- 13:53Speaker 2: be tough to win another game. So, lose that game.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Maryland at home, loss. Obviously, Indiana-Oregon, this scenario, loss. Washington, loss.
- 14:03Speaker 2: At Illinois, loss. The one chance maybe we have to
- 14:07Speaker 2: get a little bit of excitement. But, again, under this scenario...
- 14:11Speaker 2: I just think we will be so beaten down and
- 14:15Speaker 2: so emotionally done, drained, don't care about the season. I
- 14:20Speaker 2: say we. I'm talking about more of the players in
- 14:22Speaker 2: the locker room for that game. Coaches get up. People
- 14:25Speaker 2: aren't going to care. Now, Ruggers could be in a
- 14:29Speaker 2: similar boat. Don't get me wrong. So, loss and then
- 14:34Speaker 2: Ohio State at home. The sellout streak ends officially because–
- 14:40Speaker 2: Nobody goes to that game and wants us to watch
- 14:42Speaker 2: us get beat by 50. We do get beat by 50.
- 14:46Speaker 2: We go to Iowa and, I mean, by this point,
- 14:49Speaker 2: if this were to happen, ooh, boy. I think after
- 14:53Speaker 2: that game right there, Matt Rule gets fired. And it
- 14:57Speaker 2: might actually be after the Rutgers game you get fired
- 14:59Speaker 2: after the Rutgers game. That might actually be what happens
- 15:02Speaker 2: because people are going to hold on to that Rutgers
- 15:04Speaker 2: game and say, you win that, maybe there's some hope.
- 15:07Speaker 2: You can beat Iowa, go 5-7. People are going to
- 15:11Speaker 2: try to justify it that way, but I don't think so.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Loss obviously finished 3-9. I don't think it'll happen, but
- 15:19Speaker 2: I don't think that's– if we lose that Michigan State game,
- 15:22Speaker 2: just be prepared for the wheels to fall off.
- 15:26Speaker 3: It's funny because I don't think we have– we're talking
- 15:29Speaker 3: about the firing of Matt Rule, but I think if
- 15:32Speaker 3: Matt Rule goes, Troy Dannon's also going because the Regents
- 15:37Speaker 3: are going to be like, we can't fire Matt rule
- 15:39Speaker 3: because we just gave him a big old contract. So
- 15:41Speaker 3: we're going to fire her athletic director who gave him
- 15:43Speaker 3: the big old contract, even though.
- 15:47Speaker 4: It could get messy.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Cause I, you know, a similar thought I had was
- 15:52Speaker 3: you start basically five and one, and then the last
- 15:57Speaker 3: you lose every game to a currently ranked opponent and
- 16:00Speaker 3: either Illinois or Michigan state.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Well, I guess we start five and one, you want
- 16:04Speaker 4: to lose to Michigan state. Um, You know, probably lose
- 16:07Speaker 4: to Illinois.
- 16:08Speaker 3: You start 5-1 and end the year 1-6.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Or 1-5 in the last five. You go 6-6.
- 16:13Speaker 3: And they're against all teams that are ranked and that
- 16:18Speaker 3: you weren't favored to win. You know, maybe they were close,
- 16:21Speaker 3: but it's just.
- 16:25Speaker 4: The contract that Matt Rule has.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Because you know we can't... He's not going to get
- 16:30Speaker 3: hired somewhere else to off-balance... the buyout.
- 16:36Speaker 4: And a lot of our scenarios here aren't very pretty.
- 16:41Speaker 3: You know, now that we're doing this off the cuff
- 16:43Speaker 3: and running through them, it's like, gosh, there's a lot
- 16:45Speaker 3: of these fledgling seven and fives, five and seven, six
- 16:49Speaker 3: and six seasons we're looking at here. Yeah.
- 16:53Speaker 2: And that's why I kind of wanted to do this
- 16:54Speaker 2: a little bit. Cause Matt rules not getting talked about
- 16:57Speaker 2: as being on the hot seat, like at all this year.
- 17:00Speaker 4: And, and correct.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Like, I think there's definitely more scenarios, not more scenarios
- 17:06Speaker 2: than not maybe, but there's a lot of scenarios here
- 17:10Speaker 2: with the schedule that he doesn't, he's not our head
- 17:13Speaker 2: coach in 2027. And nobody's talking about that. I don't
- 17:17Speaker 2: know if that's because of the like contract extension. You
- 17:19Speaker 2: just think you're locked in and I'm with you on
- 17:21Speaker 2: the Troy Dannen thing too. Like, and that's typical with
- 17:24Speaker 2: Nebraska football and ADs. I just think that's not getting
- 17:28Speaker 2: talked about at all. And not that it's saying that
- 17:31Speaker 2: it should, but, just know that the way this season
- 17:34Speaker 2: plays out, that that's going to come into conversation very quickly,
- 17:38Speaker 2: especially with that Michigan state game.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:40Speaker 2: I have two scenarios left. I want to get to one.
- 17:45Speaker 2: And I'll, I'll be more on the positive side. Cause
- 17:49Speaker 2: I do think this is also, and you know, if, if,
- 17:51Speaker 2: if expectations go better than they're supposed to, and we
- 17:55Speaker 2: haven't had that here in Nebraska in.
- 17:59Speaker 4: Years.
- 18:00Speaker 2: And I just, I'm just going to say the law
- 18:02Speaker 2: of averages, right? Sometime it's going to happen. I don't
- 18:05Speaker 2: know when, maybe it's this year, but it hasn't happened
- 18:07Speaker 2: in a while. So yeah, start three and oh, obviously
- 18:09Speaker 2: start five and five and oh, winning those two games.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Let's just, let's just do it. And I'm just, I'll
- 18:17Speaker 2: just say we're going to lose Indiana. I was going
- 18:20Speaker 2: to say, do it and win it, but say no.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Then lose Oregon, but competitive. uh, you know, when the
- 18:29Speaker 2: next three lose Ohio state, but somewhat competitive as well.
- 18:33Speaker 2: And then, Oh, let's just throw out a win against
- 18:36Speaker 2: Iowa nine and three season. Um, and I had a
- 18:40Speaker 2: second scenario here, just as easy at Iowa, lose that
- 18:43Speaker 2: one the way we normally do eight or four, nine
- 18:46Speaker 2: and three. Um, I guess the vibes of that is
- 18:48Speaker 2: probably a little bit different with Iowa being Iowa. Uh,
- 18:52Speaker 2: you know, really good bowl game. I don't think nine
- 18:54Speaker 2: and three gets you in the playoffs. Um, Maybe how
- 18:57Speaker 2: the college football season goes, and you lose those three
- 19:01Speaker 2: games to those really good teams, and they're all 11-1, 10-2,
- 19:03Speaker 2: and dominant. Maybe you squeak in as the fourth Big
- 19:07Speaker 2: Ten team because that's the only three losses you have.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I'd say that's probably not out of the question. But
- 19:14Speaker 2: I'll say probably not, but playing in a very, very
- 19:16Speaker 2: good bowl game, the next Big Ten bowl game, that
- 19:20Speaker 2: again is, to me, you know, ceiling. I don't think
- 19:24Speaker 2: that's going to happen because why would it? Because it isn't.
- 19:27Speaker 2: we have it but.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Uh that was the same scenario i was going to
- 19:32Speaker 3: do and i i have looked last year the highest
- 19:35Speaker 3: ranked um the highest ranked nine and three team was
- 19:42Speaker 3: texas at 13 in the College Football Playoff rankings. I'm
- 19:49Speaker 3: assuming their three losses were all to Alabama, Georgia. Similar,
- 19:53Speaker 3: but I guess they had better wins. I don't know
- 19:55Speaker 3: what their wins were. Vanderbilt was 10-2, Utah was 10-2,
- 19:59Speaker 3: and then USC was number 16 at 9-3.
- 20:01Speaker 4: I had a similar.
- 20:04Speaker 3: I already gave you my ceiling, but my Realistic best
- 20:10Speaker 3: case scenario for our season was a 9-3.
- 20:13Speaker 4: We basically win.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Iowa, essentially lose Indiana, Oregon, Ohio State with maybe one
- 20:21Speaker 3: of those being close, two of those, one being not
- 20:24Speaker 3: a blowout, maybe one being a blowout.
- 20:29Speaker 4: But you see some positive steps.
- 20:32Speaker 3: And you leave on a high, maybe a decent game
- 20:36Speaker 3: against Ohio State at home where we lose close and
- 20:38Speaker 3: then we go and we beat Iowa on the road.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Because why can't we can't beat Iowa at home?
- 20:43Speaker 4: You know, or why would we do that? We don't
- 20:46Speaker 4: want to enjoy the win.
- 20:48Speaker 3: So I think that that is my realistic best case scenario.
- 20:52Speaker 3: I'll give you my last my last scenario that I
- 20:55Speaker 3: think is going to happen. I think we start five
- 20:58Speaker 3: and oh, we lose Indiana, Oregon. I haven't decided what
- 21:06Speaker 3: I think was going to happen in Washington. It's a
- 21:07Speaker 3: blackout game. They're ranked 17, but I don't know if that's...
- 21:15Speaker 3: So we're 5-2.
- 21:16Speaker 4: We lose Washington. We beat Illinois. We're 6-3. Beat Rutgers 7-3.
- 21:23Speaker 4: And we probably lose our last two games to end
- 21:26Speaker 4: the year 7-5. That's what I think is going to happen.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I don't mind it. My official on the record. Game-by-game prediction.
- 21:38Speaker 2: I'm starting the exact same way as you, but that
- 21:41Speaker 2: Michigan State game scares the crap out of me. Then, yes,
- 21:46Speaker 2: loss Indiana, loss Oregon. I do think that Washington game,
- 21:51Speaker 2: we're going to be right there. I think we're going
- 21:54Speaker 2: to lose it and just be frustrated again. At Illinois,
- 21:58Speaker 2: I want to, but I think we're going to lose
- 22:02Speaker 2: that one. I think we're going to get Rutgers because...
- 22:05Speaker 2: I'm going to regret saying this, but it's ruggers. I
- 22:09Speaker 2: think we can, that's one team. We have still found
- 22:12Speaker 2: a way to win and then lose. And then unfortunately
- 22:15Speaker 2: lose at Iowa again, going six and six. And we
- 22:19Speaker 2: are right in the conversation of what to do for
- 22:23Speaker 2: next year. I'm, I I'm all for moving to a
- 22:27Speaker 2: new coach at that point at six and six. I just,
- 22:31Speaker 2: it's not, that's not progress. It's stale. That's, unfortunately not
- 22:36Speaker 2: meeting expectations are right there, but right below it. Um,
- 22:41Speaker 2: selling stuff for the next year. Again, after the, after the,
- 22:45Speaker 2: the quietest off season in, in our lifetimes this year,
- 22:49Speaker 2: how are you selling it? Then the next year, I
- 22:51Speaker 2: guess you're selling it with Trey Taylor. That's how you're
- 22:53Speaker 2: going to sell it. Um, but then that's another question.
- 22:58Speaker 2: That's a whole nother question on how you, well, what
- 23:00Speaker 2: does that look like with, with hit that recruiting class
- 23:03Speaker 2: in 27?
- 23:03Speaker 3: So, Four years is, I mean, just because Frost was
- 23:09Speaker 3: fired year five, right?
- 23:11Speaker 4: Mid year five. So it's one of those things where
- 23:13Speaker 4: it's like, all.
- 23:14Speaker 3: Right, we gave it, we gave you a good college try.
- 23:16Speaker 3: We gave you four years to figure it out. You
- 23:18Speaker 3: have your whole recruits in, you know, and it's, I
- 23:24Speaker 3: get it. I'm, I think at that point I'd also
- 23:26Speaker 3: be fine with that.
- 23:27Speaker 2: I just don't know financially how it worked. I, That's
- 23:30Speaker 2: just the worst-case scenario there. But, again, I think it's
- 23:34Speaker 2: probably one of the more likely ones because it is. Financially,
- 23:37Speaker 2: there's issues there. It's not awful, but it's not good enough.
- 23:42Speaker 4: I agree.
- 23:44Speaker 3: If we go six and six, I don't think we
- 23:45Speaker 3: fire Matt Rule, but we roll. It's the exact same
- 23:48Speaker 3: thing with Frost. It's like we're so financially tied to it.
- 23:50Speaker 3: We roll into next year. He's on the hottest of
- 23:53Speaker 3: hot seats. Two missteps, and he's gone. Yeah.
- 23:59Speaker 2: All right, well, our schedule for the rest of this week,
- 24:02Speaker 2: we will be doing tomorrow, I'm going to do a
- 24:04Speaker 2: little Anthony Calandria film breakdown here live on YouTube and
- 24:10Speaker 2: discuss more Calandria. Wednesday will be wacky-dacky. Wednesday is normal.
- 24:15Speaker 2: And then Thursday, Friday is all Ohio, all the Ohio Bobcats,
- 24:20Speaker 2: as we prepare for Saturday morning, 11 a.m.
- 24:24Speaker 4: Kick. What is our over-under for the year? Six and
- 24:28Speaker 4: a half. Okay.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Juice to the under.
- 24:32Speaker 4: I took the over, I guess, and took the under.
- 24:36Speaker 2: All right. We'll be back tomorrow morning. Go Big Red.
