- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to the favorites live on YouTube presented by draft Kings.
- 0:14Speaker 1: The crown is yours. I'm Brandon Kravitz, your host joined
- 0:17Speaker 1: by the first lady, Kendra Middleton week six is almost
- 0:21Speaker 1: a wrap super teams going down. The Titans got a
- 0:24Speaker 1: win and our producer is about to do something Some
- 0:28Speaker 1: really weird stuff. We'll get to all of that receipts, cash, crash, clutch,
- 0:32Speaker 1: a word from the Oracle, Evan Abrams, and we will
- 0:36Speaker 1: slide in a Monday night football, same game parlay before
- 0:40Speaker 1: we get out of here. We do have some gloating
- 0:42Speaker 1: to do. At least I do. Kendra on Twitter said
- 0:45Speaker 1: she will not be gloating. So I'm curious to see
- 0:47Speaker 1: what form that takes. We'll get to that. We will
- 0:49Speaker 1: get to that five and oh, in the contest, we
- 0:52Speaker 1: will get to that. But Kendra, we have breaking news
- 0:55Speaker 1: to get to in the NFL. Stuff's popping off this morning.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts went from out for this week to the
- 1:03Speaker 1: IR to out for the season with this blood clot issue. Hopefully,
- 1:08Speaker 1: everything turns out okay for him. And Chris Ballard, the
- 1:12Speaker 1: general manager for the Indianapolis Colts, has been let go.
- 1:17Speaker 1: So what would you like to react to first before
- 1:20Speaker 1: we break down the card?
- 1:22Speaker 2: It's been a.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Really crazy morning. I mean, I guess it's not really...
- 1:26Speaker 3: Anything to say crazy about Jalen Hurts other than like,
- 1:30Speaker 3: I hope that he's doing okay.
- 1:31Speaker 2: And I cannot believe.
- 1:32Speaker 3: How this medical staff handled this because I think it
- 1:35Speaker 3: was our show on Thursday where I was saying I
- 1:38Speaker 3: kind of had put together a little bit of the
- 1:40Speaker 3: timeline and they knew that he had this blood clot
- 1:42Speaker 3: when they got there and still let him fly home
- 1:44Speaker 3: with it. It's just crazy to me the way that
- 1:47Speaker 3: this has been handled. I feel like somebody is going
- 1:49Speaker 3: to have to lose their job, and I'm not just
- 1:51Speaker 3: worried about him losing the season. I'm kind of in
- 1:54Speaker 3: the conversation now, like, should he keep playing, especially if
- 1:57Speaker 3: this is something that is going to continue. If he
- 2:00Speaker 3: does keep playing, I think it's probably up to him
- 2:03Speaker 3: and his family to have some tough conversations, but I
- 2:05Speaker 3: really hope that he's okay, and I just am appalled
- 2:08Speaker 3: by the staff. I don't know if you have anything
- 2:11Speaker 3: to add to that. I think the conversation here is probably...
- 2:14Speaker 3: you know, more so about the Colts and Carly Ursae.
- 2:17Speaker 3: I mean, look at her standing down on the sidelines
- 2:19Speaker 3: and making some tough decisions. I got to say, I'm
- 2:21Speaker 3: surprised it took this.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Long, but good for her.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Yeah, amazing what losing to the Titans will produce. Heads
- 2:27Speaker 1: will roll when that happens. This is from Josina Anderson
- 2:31Speaker 1: on the firing of Chris Ballard. My understanding is that
- 2:35Speaker 1: Ballard told Carly Ursae Gordon that she should make the
- 2:39Speaker 1: change for the good of the organization. So Chris Ballard, Wow.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I didn't hear that bit.
- 2:46Speaker 1: He knew he was on the hot seat. He had
- 2:48Speaker 1: been the GM there for 10 years. She had already
- 2:51Speaker 1: come out publicly and said, we need results. Well, losing
- 2:54Speaker 1: to the Titans is officially a bad result. He knew
- 2:58Speaker 1: the writing was on the wall. I have heard nothing
- 3:01Speaker 1: but great things about Chris Ballard, the person. And this
- 3:05Speaker 1: just backs that up. I know I'm going to get fired.
- 3:08Speaker 1: You know, you're going to fire me. Let's just do
- 3:10Speaker 1: this now and put the organization first. I think it
- 3:14Speaker 1: really speaks well to him.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I do, too. I think it honestly looks really
- 3:18Speaker 2: good on both of them.
- 3:19Speaker 3: The fact that they had such a good professional working relationship,
- 3:22Speaker 3: I think, says a lot about both of them.
- 3:25Speaker 2: And you know what?
- 3:25Speaker 3: Like after the move that he made last season in
- 3:28Speaker 3: a division that, you know, let's be honest, is pretty
- 3:31Speaker 3: much sucking the season outside of Jacksonville and we're going
- 3:33Speaker 3: to get to their game and my thoughts on that
- 3:35Speaker 3: eventually at some point. But in a division for, you know,
- 3:38Speaker 3: the better part of a decade that you've been a
- 3:39Speaker 3: GM and has been terrible and you haven't been able
- 3:42Speaker 3: to capitalize on that. I'm sorry, but as much as
- 3:46Speaker 3: I like you as a person, if you're not giving
- 3:47Speaker 3: me results at some point, we can still sit here
- 3:50Speaker 3: and say, love you.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Good luck.
- 3:52Speaker 3: But it's time for us to part ways. And I
- 3:54Speaker 3: just I didn't know that bit about it. I had
- 3:56Speaker 3: just heard that they did. had a parted ways, but
- 3:58Speaker 3: I think that that says a lot about both of them.
- 4:00Speaker 3: I wish them, you know, the best of, I wish
- 4:02Speaker 3: him the best of luck. Obviously I hope that the
- 4:04Speaker 3: Colts keep sucking, but I love Carly or say Gordon. And,
- 4:08Speaker 3: you know, I, I don't know what else to say.
- 4:11Speaker 3: I there, I think that that was the first move.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 4:14Speaker 3: I have faith in the coaching staff, but if they
- 4:16Speaker 3: continue to perform this way throughout the rest of the season,
- 4:19Speaker 3: then I think that there are probably obviously other conversations
- 4:21Speaker 3: that will and have.
- 4:22Speaker 2: To be had.
- 4:23Speaker 1: For sure. And we see a lot of teams handle
- 4:25Speaker 1: it this way. When, The GM gets fired. The coach
- 4:29Speaker 1: usually ends up following them out the door because the
- 4:32Speaker 1: new GM wants to hire their people. Which of these
- 4:35Speaker 1: moves do you think was the worst, the most egregious
- 4:38Speaker 1: of all from Chris Ballard? The sauce trade. I know
- 4:41Speaker 1: you weren't a big fan of the sauce gardener deal.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Anthony Richardson being taken inside of the top five or
- 4:49Speaker 1: giving Daniel Jones an extension. Which of those puts you
- 4:54Speaker 1: on the chopping block the hardest and the fastest?
- 4:57Speaker 3: I think it's got to be Anthony Richardson because that
- 5:00Speaker 3: domino led to the Daniel Jones situation. So I think
- 5:04Speaker 3: that that's kind of like the first big, what the heck?
- 5:07Speaker 3: Because that's the thing too. Like I watched a lot
- 5:10Speaker 3: of college football. You watched a lot of college football.
- 5:12Speaker 3: I'm sure that you watched Anthony Richardson at Florida. What
- 5:14Speaker 3: about Anthony Richardson at Florida made you think that that
- 5:17Speaker 3: was the decision to be made then and there?
- 5:20Speaker 1: That made me crazy.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:24Speaker 3: I am.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I'm not a general manager in the NFL. That draft
- 5:29Speaker 1: pick made me think that I could do this for
- 5:31Speaker 1: a living because I'm looking at that going, guys, I
- 5:34Speaker 1: think I watched every Anthony Richardson snap in college. I
- 5:37Speaker 1: watch a lot of state of Florida college football, and
- 5:41Speaker 1: I never saw first round.
- 5:43Speaker 5: No.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Top five.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 5:45Speaker 3: No. And that's coming from someone who spent the majority
- 5:49Speaker 3: of my early adult life with Trent Bulkey.
- 5:52Speaker 2: So let me tell you.
- 5:56Speaker 1: You get quarterback wrong, it's really hard to keep your
- 5:58Speaker 1: job as a general manager. And he got it wrong twice.
- 6:01Speaker 3: I honestly think too, that this is going to be
- 6:03Speaker 3: one of those things that we look back at with
- 6:05Speaker 3: Daniel Jones getting an extension, the way the Baker Mayfield's
- 6:08Speaker 3: extension is kind of playing out. Maybe we can look
- 6:10Speaker 3: at Sam Darnold, even though he won a Super Bowl
- 6:12Speaker 3: and saying, okay, there's like these quarterbacks who had, you know,
- 6:14Speaker 3: a season of lightning in a bottle. That does not
- 6:16Speaker 3: mean that you need to pay them long-term.
- 6:19Speaker 1: That's the weird thing is that last year, the conversation
- 6:21Speaker 1: was we need to stop giving up on these quarterbacks.
- 6:24Speaker 1: So quickly look at Baker Mayfield, look at Sam Darnold,
- 6:27Speaker 1: look at Daniel Jones.
- 6:28Speaker 2: I'm guilty of that.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely. I had the exact, exact same dialogue on
- 6:34Speaker 1: this podcast and others about that exact storyline. And now
- 6:39Speaker 1: we're seeing it. We're seeing it reverse in the other direction.
- 6:42Speaker 1: And I think the bottom line is it's just really
- 6:43Speaker 1: hard to get quarterback, right? It's really hard. And then
- 6:46Speaker 1: sometimes you can even get it right and then still
- 6:48Speaker 1: be wrong. That is the confusing mindfuck of all of this.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Let's check up on the DraftKings contest, shall we?
- 6:56Speaker 6: Let's do it.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Five and oh, we. Undefeated. Give me the trophy. Texans
- 7:05Speaker 1: plus two and a half. Got it. Steelers minus two
- 7:09Speaker 1: and a half. Nailed it. Saints plus one and a half.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Thank you, John Yastrzemski. Jets.
- 7:15Speaker 6: Fuck it.
- 7:15Speaker 1: The Jets plus seven and a half. right through the
- 7:18Speaker 1: back door and the Raiders plus five and a half.
- 7:21Speaker 1: We'll go game by game here. But Kendra, the amazing
- 7:24Speaker 1: part about this, and I saw that you added this
- 7:26Speaker 1: to our doc as well. What's crazy is that not
- 7:30Speaker 1: only did we go five and oh, we left the Browns,
- 7:35Speaker 1: the Panthers, the Packers and the Broncos on the cutting
- 7:38Speaker 1: room floor. If our contest was nine plays instead of five,
- 7:43Speaker 1: we would have gone nine and oh, this was just picture.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Perfect excellence from the favorites.
- 7:51Speaker 2: And I would like to say Dr. Chow is the
- 7:55Speaker 2: freaking man.
- 7:56Speaker 3: He told us before the NFL that all of these
- 7:59Speaker 3: injuries would be crucial this week. And there was a
- 8:03Speaker 3: potential that Lamar wouldn't play. He like, he just knew
- 8:06Speaker 3: it all. He knew about, he knows everything.
- 8:09Speaker 2: It's insane. He really, really, really helped us secure the
- 8:12Speaker 2: bag this week. And for him, I am grateful.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Absolutely. Yeah, he got us to the window on the Browns,
- 8:19Speaker 1: on the Panthers, and they weren't even contest plays for us,
- 8:22Speaker 1: but still, yeah, tremendous stuff all around. I mean, this was,
- 8:27Speaker 1: and this is what feels so good about this, is
- 8:29Speaker 1: it wasn't like, oh, it was a bunch of my
- 8:31Speaker 1: plays and I had a good week. It wasn't a
- 8:32Speaker 1: bunch of your plays and you had a good week.
- 8:34Speaker 1: It wasn't a bunch of JJ's plays or all of
- 8:37Speaker 1: Chow's advice. This was truly a total team.
- 8:40Speaker 2: A group thing.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Everybody got, it was our whole.
- 8:45Speaker 1: All of the idiot pieces of pie that make up
- 8:49Speaker 1: the favorites created this. And our producer said he would
- 8:53Speaker 1: do some weird shit if we ever went 5-0. Well,
- 8:56Speaker 1: I'm not even going to call out what the weird
- 8:59Speaker 1: stuff is.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Falls in your court, Giff.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I just want you to know. Gifford, would you like
- 9:05Speaker 1: to declare us, I don't know, kings of the podcast
- 9:09Speaker 1: world or tell us when you plan to devolve into madness?
- 9:14Speaker 2: I'm just really excited that we have won 5-0.
- 9:16Speaker 6: I couldn't be more jammed up.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Okay.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Only took us six weeks.
- 9:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 9:22Speaker 1: It's weird. Gifford sounds really excited today.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Only took us six weeks.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Well, we did it. And who knows? Maybe another one
- 9:31Speaker 1: is on the way. So let's go piece by piece here.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Texans plus two and a half. I know you've got
- 9:37Speaker 1: a lot to say on this game. This is forever known,
- 9:40Speaker 1: even though this didn't necessarily impact the result, the Travis
- 9:43Speaker 1: Hunter game. Oh, I N T on defense. The first
- 9:48Speaker 1: player since Brian Dawkins in 2002 to do that. You
- 9:53Speaker 1: want to wax poetic on this or, or tell me
- 9:56Speaker 1: about the refs screwing the drugs. What, what, what Liam
- 10:00Speaker 1: Cohen down by three fourth and three.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Okay, I have a lot of thoughts about this.
- 10:06Speaker 3: And it's easy to sit here and say, well, this
- 10:09Speaker 3: is what should have been done afterwards. I think Liam
- 10:12Speaker 3: had a bad coaching game. I think when he decided
- 10:15Speaker 3: to go for it, he should have kicked it. And
- 10:17Speaker 3: when he decided to kick it, he should.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Have gone for it.
- 10:19Speaker 3: But I really don't hate him deciding to kick it
- 10:23Speaker 3: at the end of the game because Trevor wasn't playing
- 10:25Speaker 3: well at that point. Your defense wasn't playing well at
- 10:27Speaker 3: that point.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I think that you take the points and just.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Send your guys back out there and hope.
- 10:33Speaker 2: I think what else do you do?
- 10:35Speaker 3: Like, I know that your defense sucked yesterday. The defense
- 10:40Speaker 3: was so bad yesterday. And I hate I said this
- 10:44Speaker 3: on Twitter. I hate being the type of person to
- 10:45Speaker 3: sit here and complain about the refs. But throughout the
- 10:50Speaker 3: day yesterday, just continued once again, and I'm going to
- 10:53Speaker 3: talk about it in one of our awards later, but
- 10:56Speaker 3: just continued to ruin games yesterday. I'm sick of sitting
- 10:59Speaker 3: here on Sundays and something happening and me having to
- 11:01Speaker 3: sit here and wait for a flag. That phantom holding
- 11:04Speaker 3: call is going to haunt me for eternity.
- 11:07Speaker 2: And I just, all right, let me ask you a question.
- 11:11Speaker 3: If this game was actually a home game for the
- 11:13Speaker 3: Jacksonville Jaguars, and this was played in Jacksonville yesterday, how
- 11:16Speaker 3: do you think this would have gone?
- 11:19Speaker 1: That's a tough question to answer because are you referring
- 11:22Speaker 1: specifically to the way that the penalties were called?
- 11:25Speaker 3: No, I'm referring to the home atmosphere, this being a
- 11:28Speaker 3: true home game, this being a divisional game at home.
- 11:31Speaker 3: There is no way that this game would have gone
- 11:33Speaker 3: this way yesterday.
- 11:34Speaker 1: If this was actually a home game. I do think
- 11:36Speaker 1: Jacksonville wins. I mean, it's hard to say that they wouldn't.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Jacksonville has been the best home team in the NFL
- 11:42Speaker 1: for at least the last two years, and it might
- 11:44Speaker 1: even stretch beyond that, but they've been a good team
- 11:47Speaker 1: that's married, good team with good home field advantage for
- 11:50Speaker 1: the last two years and that was something that we
- 11:52Speaker 1: talked about before the season was that this was the
- 11:55Speaker 1: egregious part of this schedule for Jacksonville was having this
- 11:58Speaker 1: home game against the Houston Texans be in London and
- 12:02Speaker 1: so you know to that point yeah I was on
- 12:04Speaker 1: the Texans we were on the Texans as a show
- 12:07Speaker 1: I don't I would not have been on the Texans
- 12:09Speaker 1: if this game was in Houston and for it to
- 12:11Speaker 1: come down to a field goal at the end of
- 12:15Speaker 1: the game Um, probably is a win if it's in Jacksonville,
- 12:19Speaker 1: but it wasn't. And the Jags have shown some wobbly
- 12:23Speaker 1: wheels over the last couple of weeks and the penalties,
- 12:28Speaker 1: whether the officials were egregious in their calls or not.
- 12:33Speaker 1: you can't deny the fact that the Jaguars have been
- 12:35Speaker 1: the most penalized team in the NFL. So even if
- 12:38Speaker 1: they've had a couple that shouldn't go their way, and
- 12:40Speaker 1: I would agree, Travis Hunter, PI, questionable, the holding call
- 12:44Speaker 1: that you mentioned, that was a bad, that was just
- 12:46Speaker 1: a bad call.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Let me just say something.
- 12:48Speaker 1: The Jags are bringing this onto themselves.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Oh, you can't beat yourself and the ref. You can't
- 12:52Speaker 3: beat yourself and the referees like you just you can't
- 12:54Speaker 3: do that. But the thing is, is that the Jaguars
- 12:56Speaker 3: were the least penalized team through the first three weeks
- 12:59Speaker 3: and have been the most penalized the last three weeks.
- 13:02Speaker 3: And I it's hard for me to sit here and
- 13:05Speaker 3: conceptualize that.
- 13:06Speaker 2: As a fan. I'm not going to make excuses. They
- 13:09Speaker 2: didn't win the game.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Yesterday, but I just am so sick of sitting here
- 13:13Speaker 3: and watching all of these calls back. And genuinely as
- 13:17Speaker 3: someone who's consumed the game for 30 years, not knowing
- 13:20Speaker 3: what a holding is anymore.
- 13:22Speaker 2: I just, I don't. And, and that's the hard part.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Um, but yeah, we, we won the Texans.
- 13:27Speaker 2: We knew that this is how I was going to go.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Yep.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Kumbaya.
- 13:30Speaker 1: This was, this was just simply, even though the Jags
- 13:33Speaker 1: were over in London, they were parked there and that
- 13:35Speaker 1: sent a lot of people to the side of the
- 13:37Speaker 1: Jacksonville Jaguars. We said that's being over baked into the line. Um,
- 13:42Speaker 1: This is a Texan spot. This was a playoff game
- 13:45Speaker 1: for Houston. They could not lose this game. And a
- 13:48Speaker 1: credit to CJ Stroud. I thought both quarterbacks played well.
- 13:51Speaker 1: CJ Stroud outplayed Trevor Lawrence in this game, and that
- 13:54Speaker 1: might have been the biggest difference. I know you're hot
- 13:58Speaker 1: on the Josh Hines-Allen discussion. One tackle, no sacks.
- 14:06Speaker 3: I said before the season that I got crucified for
- 14:10Speaker 3: saying that I wish that they treated him before the season.
- 14:12Speaker 3: I love Josh. I love who he is in the
- 14:14Speaker 3: locker room. I love that Jacksonville loves him. I love
- 14:16Speaker 3: that he loves Jacksonville. I love that he's a family guy.
- 14:20Speaker 3: But he is so expensive and doing absolutely nothing.
- 14:26Speaker 2: And he's untouchable to the organization.
- 14:28Speaker 3: And I think that that's what pisses me off the
- 14:30Speaker 3: most is because he is homegrown talent, right? but he
- 14:33Speaker 3: disappears for stretches of the only two seasons that he's
- 14:37Speaker 3: had that were decent were a contract year. So like,
- 14:41Speaker 3: I'm just sick. I'm sick of sitting here saying that
- 14:43Speaker 3: he's worth all of this money to do nothing. And
- 14:45Speaker 3: I know that, you know, the run defense changes if
- 14:49Speaker 3: you get rid of him, but fine, I really don't care.
- 14:51Speaker 3: You cannot cost that much money and not disrupt the
- 14:55Speaker 3: quarterback whatsoever. Package him and BTJ, send him out and
- 14:58Speaker 3: bring me Max Crosby.
- 14:59Speaker 1: I don't think it's a bad idea. Um, should be noted.
- 15:02Speaker 1: The Texans are now 10 and one in the last
- 15:06Speaker 1: 11 games against the Jacksonville Jaguars. They've owned this rivalry
- 15:10Speaker 1: and they now have the tiebreaker for the moment. And
- 15:13Speaker 1: they're only back two games on the division. So all
- 15:16Speaker 1: of a sudden we've got a race in the AFC South.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Let's go to the Steelers minus two and a half. Boy,
- 15:24Speaker 1: all these were sweats. I mean, pretty much none of
- 15:27Speaker 1: these came easy, but they all showed up. with dubs
- 15:31Speaker 1: Steelers minus two and a half, the box moved to
- 15:33Speaker 1: two and 11 all time against the Steelers. And maybe
- 15:36Speaker 1: it's because they've only played this team on the road.
- 15:39Speaker 1: They're either in Pittsburgh or they're in Tampa Berg. Did
- 15:43Speaker 1: you see the crowd in Tampa for this game? I'm
- 15:46Speaker 1: not kidding. I think I test it was 70% Steelers
- 15:51Speaker 1: fans and they kind of kept them hanging around.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you live in Florida. I grew up in Florida.
- 15:56Speaker 3: The number of like weird, just pockets of like Eagles,
- 16:02Speaker 3: Patriots and Steelers fans that snowboard down there and just
- 16:05Speaker 3: stay really pissed me off because this happened in Jacksonville
- 16:08Speaker 3: a lot when I was a kid. Like whenever you
- 16:10Speaker 3: had one of those teams playing down there, it would
- 16:11Speaker 3: be mostly the majority of their fans. And I'm not surprised,
- 16:15Speaker 3: but at the same time, like, do Bucs fans really
- 16:18Speaker 3: have something to get out of their house for on.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Sundays right now? Like, not really.
- 16:23Speaker 1: No.
- 16:24Speaker 2: And it's probably a cheap flight.
- 16:26Speaker 1: They're more focused on their baseball team right now. So
- 16:30Speaker 1: the Steelers down 16-3, headed to the fourth quarter. Shout
- 16:34Speaker 1: out to Jeremy Bernard. What a game by him. The Steelers,
- 16:39Speaker 1: no surprise, find another obscure star wide receiver. That's what
- 16:43Speaker 1: this organization.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Met calf DK met calf 11 receptions yesterday was nuts
- 16:49Speaker 3: he was basically automatic for Aaron Rodgers yesterday I had
- 16:52Speaker 3: this in our notes to talk about later but did
- 16:54Speaker 3: you see Mike McCarthy go into the blue tent after
- 16:58Speaker 3: getting stepped on like I'm.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Sorry he didn't do the halftime interview I know.
- 17:03Speaker 3: He didn't I don't think he did halftime anything because
- 17:05Speaker 3: he was in the tent I want to know who
- 17:09Speaker 3: stepped on him. That's like the one piece of this
- 17:11Speaker 3: puzzle that I like need for memeing.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I need to know who.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Stepped on Mike McCarthy and now, and now he's got
- 17:17Speaker 3: to get on a flight and go to France like that.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Right. Steeler saints in Paris next week. That'll be an
- 17:25Speaker 1: interesting one. Speaking of the saints, we had the saints
- 17:28Speaker 1: plus one and a half. I feel like, This game
- 17:32Speaker 1: says more about the fraudulent giants than it did about
- 17:35Speaker 1: the saints. We'll take the win. This was all John Yastrzemski,
- 17:38Speaker 1: by the way, you and I hated this game on
- 17:40Speaker 1: both sides. We wanted nothing to do with it, but
- 17:42Speaker 1: we got walked into it. Uh, they let Tyler shuck
- 17:45Speaker 1: come back to life in this game. They only threw
- 17:48Speaker 1: 444 yards, but three touchdown passes. They are the worst
- 17:55Speaker 1: first place team in the NFL. They could be one
- 17:57Speaker 1: of the worst first place teams I've ever seen in
- 18:00Speaker 1: They can't run the football. John Harbaugh is denying the
- 18:03Speaker 1: fact that he benched Cam Scadaboo, which is obviously a lie.
- 18:06Speaker 1: And they have a quarterback controversy now because JJ McCarthy
- 18:09Speaker 1: outplayed Jamis Winston. And what a disgusting quarterback quandary to
- 18:14Speaker 1: be in. That is your New York Giants will take
- 18:17Speaker 1: the win on the Saints.
- 18:18Speaker 2: I don't think it's disgusting at all.
- 18:19Speaker 3: I don't even think it's a question that you move
- 18:21Speaker 3: forward with JJ McCarthy. That was kind of Harbaugh's whole
- 18:24Speaker 3: thing about this was He likes JJ McCarthy because he's
- 18:27Speaker 3: a hard worker.
- 18:28Speaker 2: He's played a lot of.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Football for someone being that age and he's moldable for,
- 18:32Speaker 3: you know, a new team. I really don't think that
- 18:35Speaker 3: it was a fluke that JJ played well yesterday.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I think that he needed it.
- 18:37Speaker 3: He's one of these classic quarterback or just any kind
- 18:40Speaker 3: of position where you're failing somewhere, you go somewhere else,
- 18:43Speaker 3: you get, you know, the coaching that you need. And
- 18:45Speaker 3: you get the focus that you need and you're able
- 18:47Speaker 3: to develop. And I really don't think that it was
- 18:50Speaker 3: a coincidence that he outplayed Jameis yesterday. I don't think
- 18:53Speaker 3: that you can go back to Jameis. I think that
- 18:54Speaker 3: this is now JJ's team. He looked a lot better.
- 18:57Speaker 3: And here's the issue that I run into now trying
- 19:00Speaker 3: to figure out more about this Giants team.
- 19:02Speaker 2: They now go play.
- 19:03Speaker 3: They go to Houston to play the Texans who won,
- 19:06Speaker 3: you know, a massive game on Sunday. I would be
- 19:09Speaker 3: interested to see what this line looks like around the
- 19:12Speaker 3: time we do our show on Thursday after JJ is announced,
- 19:16Speaker 3: because I feel like the market is probably going to
- 19:20Speaker 3: run all over to Houston to get in to bet
- 19:22Speaker 3: on them. But if JJ can keep his confidence up
- 19:25Speaker 3: and kind of continue that fourth quarter rolling into this week,
- 19:28Speaker 3: I wouldn't be surprised if he comes out, you know,
- 19:30Speaker 3: a little bit of a shooter early in the game
- 19:32Speaker 3: on Sunday.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Yeah, the slower pace for me to getting the wagers
- 19:38Speaker 1: in has paid dividends, so I'm not putting my chips
- 19:43Speaker 1: into anything for week seven just yet, but that's an
- 19:46Speaker 1: interesting one to look at because the Houston would be
- 19:50Speaker 1: the obvious fade. But I think what we saw with
- 19:54Speaker 1: JJ McCarthy was, I think a lot of that was
- 19:57Speaker 1: just a guy playing free because you're down by 17
- 19:59Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter. They outscored.
- 20:00Speaker 2: He needed that.
- 20:02Speaker 1: He did. And he, and he started with an interception.
- 20:04Speaker 1: So the fact that he was able to sort of
- 20:09Speaker 1: come out of the web of that I think was,
- 20:11Speaker 1: was encouraging, but that'll definitely be one that we have
- 20:14Speaker 1: circled as far as our discussions go for next week.
- 20:16Speaker 1: We had the jets plus seven and a half. I
- 20:19Speaker 1: went back and listened to portions of our last episode.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Johnny Stremski was so hesitant to put this in the contest.
- 20:25Speaker 1: His direct quote was Pat surpass for me. but I'm
- 20:28Speaker 1: glad that we leaned on Evan for this one. Fuck it.
- 20:31Speaker 1: The jets came through and shout out to Aaron Glenn
- 20:34Speaker 1: for doing the prudent thing and taking the field goal
- 20:38Speaker 1: down by 10 second down 30 seconds left. Glenn says,
- 20:43Speaker 1: let's get the cover for the favorites. We appreciate it.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I don't know how we I was sitting there sweating
- 20:50Speaker 3: this game out yesterday.
- 20:51Speaker 2: I'm not even kidding.
- 20:53Speaker 3: I literally was like holding the dog like just please do.
- 20:56Speaker 2: It, please.
- 20:58Speaker 3: I don't have anything entertaining or important to say about
- 21:00Speaker 3: this game other than the fact that it was crazy
- 21:03Speaker 3: to watch A.J.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Brown suck.
- 21:04Speaker 3: And he really gave me a heart attack right there
- 21:07Speaker 3: when I thought that the Jets were going to get
- 21:08Speaker 3: the ball back at the end.
- 21:09Speaker 2: I was about to go nuts there. Um, but luckily
- 21:12Speaker 2: we also had the seven and a half that really
- 21:15Speaker 2: helped us. So I fuck it. The jets.
- 21:18Speaker 3: I want nothing to do with betting on the Patriots ever.
- 21:20Speaker 3: It was like an absolute heart attack for me, but thanks.
- 21:22Speaker 3: I didn't have to think about it or have it
- 21:24Speaker 3: be my fault.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Yeah, that was definitely not my favorite play, but it
- 21:27Speaker 1: snuck its way in there and we snuck our way
- 21:30Speaker 1: out with a win for those that are, that were
- 21:33Speaker 1: on the other side of this, that are claiming the
- 21:35Speaker 1: NFL is rigged and, That's an Aaron Glenn did this
- 21:38Speaker 1: to cover a spread. No, he didn't. This is what
- 21:41Speaker 1: you're supposed to do. You're supposed, I don't really necessarily
- 21:45Speaker 1: agree with it, but this is something that we see
- 21:47Speaker 1: in the NFL. You're down by 10. You take the
- 21:49Speaker 1: field goal, you go for the onside kick and you
- 21:52Speaker 1: try and get the touchdown on the ensuing position. I
- 21:55Speaker 1: feel like that should be backwards, but whatever, this is
- 21:57Speaker 1: the way that it's done. And we benefited from it.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Raiders plus five and a half. This was my favorite
- 22:02Speaker 1: play of the weekend. The bills hold on to win.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Josh Allen with some Brett Favre-like creativity, that flick pass
- 22:09Speaker 1: he had in the end zone to Keon Coleman, disgusting stuff.
- 22:12Speaker 1: This game played out just exactly the way that I
- 22:15Speaker 1: thought it would. I figured the Bills would win the game,
- 22:18Speaker 1: but their defense would do just enough for us to
- 22:22Speaker 1: let the Raiders hang within five and a half.
- 22:26Speaker 3: This game was an absolute heart attack. I think that
- 22:28Speaker 3: we should send Trey Tucker a fruit basket.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I will get to Trey Tucker because I might need
- 22:36Speaker 1: a Trey Tucker jersey. That is my new favorite person.
- 22:40Speaker 3: There were times yesterday where I just was like, this
- 22:43Speaker 3: is over.
- 22:43Speaker 2: It's done.
- 22:44Speaker 3: And then the fourth quarter, they really just came to
- 22:47Speaker 3: life somehow. I just don't understand how Kirk Cousins keeps
- 22:51Speaker 3: doing it. I swear I'm like MFing him for half
- 22:54Speaker 3: of the game. And then the other half of the game,
- 22:56Speaker 3: I'm like, I love him.
- 22:57Speaker 2: That's my man.
- 22:57Speaker 3: And I just don't know how the polarity unfolds. of
- 23:02Speaker 3: cheering for Kirk Cousins is so hard one way or
- 23:05Speaker 3: the other. There's really, truly no gray area to feel
- 23:08Speaker 3: about him. It is an absolute rollercoaster to watch a
- 23:10Speaker 3: Raiders game. But if you're a Raiders fan, you have
- 23:13Speaker 3: to feel so good about the direction of this organization.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Right now because... the way that they've.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Been able to turn it around so quickly and with
- 23:21Speaker 3: Kirk Cousins as your quarterback too, with, you know, Fernando
- 23:24Speaker 3: Mendoza and waiting, I didn't know how that would work
- 23:27Speaker 3: out for them this season. I was very much in
- 23:29Speaker 3: the camp that I thought by now that fans would be,
- 23:31Speaker 3: you know, kind of cheering for Mendoza to come in,
- 23:33Speaker 3: but this is exactly how they said that it would
- 23:35Speaker 3: go and how they planned for it to go. And
- 23:38Speaker 3: I'm just, I'm really happy for Raiders fans because I
- 23:40Speaker 3: think that they deserve this.
- 23:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:41Speaker 1: They feel like they kind of have their shit together.
- 23:44Speaker 2: They feel like there's an adult in the room.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Yeah, big time. They feel like a responsible organization. That's
- 23:51Speaker 1: the positive. But I've got some receipts.
- 23:53Speaker 6: You've got to prove it to me. I've got to
- 23:57Speaker 6: see evidence. I'll show you the receipts.
- 23:59Speaker 1: You don't believe me? I have the receipt for it
- 24:02Speaker 1: right here! So you almost talked us off of the Steelers.
- 24:07Speaker 1: You said, I don't trust Aaron Rodgers. Kirk Cousins... You said,
- 24:12Speaker 1: I worry about him turning back into a pumpkin. Part
- 24:14Speaker 1: of that polarity that you talk about. And maybe it's
- 24:17Speaker 1: because I'm in my forties now, Kendra, but you gotta
- 24:20Speaker 1: start putting some respect on the old guy's names. Kendra
- 24:25Speaker 1: peptides are saving lives. It's time to trust the AARP
- 24:29Speaker 1: quarterback community.
- 24:32Speaker 3: I just don't because I know that what I think
- 24:35Speaker 3: is coming will happen at some point. You know that
- 24:37Speaker 3: Aaron Rodgers is going to fly over to Paris and
- 24:40Speaker 3: his computer wife won't be able to make the trip
- 24:42Speaker 3: and he's going to throw like three picks and get
- 24:45Speaker 3: sandwiched the way he did in the Patriots game a
- 24:46Speaker 3: couple of weeks ago.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Like, you know that that's coming.
- 24:49Speaker 3: You know that Kirk Cousins is going to throw three
- 24:50Speaker 3: interceptions in a game and it's just going to be absolutely,
- 24:53Speaker 3: you know, dog shit at some point.
- 24:54Speaker 2: You just don't know when, but you know it's coming.
- 24:57Speaker 1: That is the shit that I wanted to give you,
- 24:59Speaker 1: but I do want to give you credit because last
- 25:01Speaker 1: week you said that the NFC East was a complete
- 25:04Speaker 1: shit show and it has gotten significantly shittier in just
- 25:10Speaker 1: a week's time. We'll see what the commanders do tonight,
- 25:14Speaker 1: but the giants are complete frauds as they've shown the Cowboys.
- 25:19Speaker 2: I don't think that's fair. Their quarterback went down.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Yes, but I mean, I specifically mean in their current form.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I think if Jackson dart was healthy, that would be,
- 25:31Speaker 1: they would be the best team in the division, but
- 25:33Speaker 1: he's not. And I, I do not. You talk about
- 25:35Speaker 1: not trusting. I don't trust.
- 25:36Speaker 3: But I don't think you can call them frauds when
- 25:38Speaker 3: their quarterback is out for the season.
- 25:40Speaker 2: I don't think that's fair. I can't throw that word around.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I'll find a better word for it, but they are
- 25:45Speaker 1: not real. They will not finish.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Motherfucker is not real.
- 25:51Speaker 1: I'm on the plane point of people. They will not
- 25:54Speaker 1: finish in first place. The Eagles are, are falling apart
- 25:58Speaker 1: at the seams. Every time we open up Twitter, somebody
- 26:01Speaker 1: else is out for the season. So they're clearly done.
- 26:04Speaker 1: And the Cowboys don't look good enough to win the division,
- 26:07Speaker 1: but they're at least, I think, better than the commanders.
- 26:11Speaker 1: So by default, we're going to end up, we have
- 26:14Speaker 1: had respect for this division for a long time, but
- 26:17Speaker 1: we're going to end up with one of those default
- 26:19Speaker 1: champions at the end of the year in the NFC East.
- 26:22Speaker 3: I think it's just going to come down to who
- 26:23Speaker 3: can stay the healthiest and who has the easiest schedule,
- 26:26Speaker 3: which to me might be the Cowboys, but I don't
- 26:29Speaker 3: trust them. I do not trust them at all. Like
- 26:32Speaker 3: last night should have been a moment where they kind
- 26:37Speaker 3: of make people believe in them and they'd be competitive again,
- 26:40Speaker 3: especially because yeah, Green Bay kind of turned their season
- 26:43Speaker 3: around the week prior. And what was the Packers that
- 26:44Speaker 3: we expected them to be, but this is the Cowboys schedule.
- 26:47Speaker 3: And I don't think that it is the easiest schedule.
- 26:52Speaker 3: but like compared to their counterparts who don't have quarterbacks,
- 26:56Speaker 3: what do you do? So they are going to play
- 26:58Speaker 3: the Eagles this week, which should be a W for
- 27:00Speaker 3: them because of everything going on with them. They've got
- 27:02Speaker 3: the Cardinals at home Colts on the road. They're going
- 27:04Speaker 3: to play the 49ers at home Titans Eagles. Again, Seahawks
- 27:08Speaker 3: Rams Jags Giants commanders. That's a tough, like, pocket-y situation
- 27:14Speaker 3: but the thing for them is that they have spots
- 27:16Speaker 3: to get right outside of that you know Seattle LA
- 27:19Speaker 3: Jaguar stretch every time they play a good team they've
- 27:22Speaker 3: got moments to get right afterwards which I think is
- 27:24Speaker 3: huge coming down the stretch when you're fighting for a
- 27:26Speaker 3: division but I don't believe in the commanders because I
- 27:30Speaker 3: don't know if Jaden can stay healthy I don't think
- 27:32Speaker 3: that I believe in their weapons obviously their run game
- 27:34Speaker 3: is dealing with injuries right now too the Eagles are
- 27:38Speaker 3: Can the defense carry them through?
- 27:39Speaker 2: No, you don't think so? That's kind of my thing.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Can that defense, if they can get healthy, maybe carry
- 27:45Speaker 2: them through the schedule? But that's a lot to ask.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Their team in its current form is the worst team
- 27:50Speaker 1: in the division. I would at least put some respect
- 27:52Speaker 1: on the commander's name. They're better than this. I wouldn't.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Tanner McKee, that is not a real NFL quarterback.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Um, so realistically though, the commanders have the easiest like
- 28:03Speaker 3: schedule left, but I just don't believe in them. I
- 28:06Speaker 3: would have thought it would be the Cowboys, but now
- 28:07Speaker 3: that I'm looking at this, it is the commanders. They,
- 28:10Speaker 3: they really luck out. They could, they could make some noise.
- 28:13Speaker 1: So the commanders right now sitting at one, three and
- 28:17Speaker 1: one that stupid tie. Where are they right now? I
- 28:21Speaker 1: got to look at the futures market before we move
- 28:23Speaker 1: on because them betting them to win the division might
- 28:25Speaker 1: not be the worst.
- 28:26Speaker 2: No.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Plus 450. If the commanders beat the 49ers tonight. No.
- 28:31Speaker 1: That would look brilliant because we will fall in love
- 28:35Speaker 1: with them with a road win against San Francisco. Just
- 28:38Speaker 1: throwing it out there because this division is up. It
- 28:42Speaker 1: is up for grabs.
- 28:44Speaker 3: I guess it also depends what you think of some
- 28:47Speaker 3: of these, you know, fringe teams like the Falcons and
- 28:49Speaker 3: the Vikings.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Uh, well, you know, I love my Falcons. I don't
- 28:54Speaker 1: know about the Vikings, but, uh, this is from Adam Schefter.
- 28:57Speaker 1: If the commanders lose tonight on Monday night football against
- 29:00Speaker 1: the 49ers, the NFC East would become the first division
- 29:03Speaker 1: in NFL history to be winless in consecutive weeks and
- 29:08Speaker 1: in consecutive weeks in consecutive weeks in which all the
- 29:12Speaker 1: teams in the division played a game and two of
- 29:14Speaker 1: the teams played each other. It'd be the first time
- 29:17Speaker 1: that that's ever happened. So if the camp commanders win,
- 29:20Speaker 1: they can buck that trend. Middleton, what is your one
- 29:23Speaker 1: big takeaway from week six?
- 29:26Speaker 3: My one big takeaway is that we better never crown
- 29:30Speaker 3: a champion preseason the way that we crowned the Rams,
- 29:36Speaker 3: because how stupid do a lot of people look right
- 29:39Speaker 3: now loving this Rams team that much? Like, I'm so
- 29:44Speaker 3: glad that I have their under on the season. I
- 29:46Speaker 3: think I need them to lose two more games, and
- 29:48Speaker 3: that's already going to cash for me. But just, it
- 29:51Speaker 3: truly shows that even, it doesn't matter if you're an expert,
- 29:55Speaker 3: if you're a casual, you know nothing heading into the season.
- 29:58Speaker 3: Especially since I think that compared to a lot of
- 30:00Speaker 3: teams that... They have been rather healthy. And for them
- 30:03Speaker 3: to still suck this bad, I think a lot of
- 30:05Speaker 3: it obviously is coaching, which it's hard to say when,
- 30:08Speaker 3: you know, Sean McVay has the resume that he does
- 30:10Speaker 3: and he is, you know, so beloved by so many.
- 30:13Speaker 2: But this team is a freaking disaster right now.
- 30:16Speaker 3: And everyone at the beginning of the season who I
- 30:18Speaker 3: think if I'm not mistaken, Evan probably knows this better
- 30:20Speaker 3: than I do. They were like the heaviest favorites in
- 30:22Speaker 3: like the like modern era for the NFL, which is crazy.
- 30:26Speaker 2: And they absolutely blow.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Yeah, Evan, can you back that up? If I remember correctly,
- 30:31Speaker 1: it was the Dallas Cowboys in the mid-90s. That's the
- 30:34Speaker 1: last time we've seen a short shot like the Rams
- 30:37Speaker 1: going into the season. Is that correct?
- 30:41Speaker 6: I believe it was. I have to double-check on the
- 30:43Speaker 6: actual odds.
- 30:44Speaker 5: The thing I did look up is just the fact
- 30:45Speaker 5: that in the last 30 years, the only outright Super
- 30:49Speaker 5: Bowl favorites entering the season to start two and four
- 30:52Speaker 5: or worse are these Rams and then the 2002 Rams.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right. So it's a Rams thing. All right, Evan,
- 30:59Speaker 1: we're coming back to you later. So hang in there
- 31:01Speaker 1: right now. We've got much more to get to cash, crash, clutch,
- 31:05Speaker 1: all the goodies from week six, week six, but first
- 31:08Speaker 1: a word from draft Kings.

- 31:44Speaker 2: DraftKings, the crown is yours.
- 31:46Speaker 5: We're dead in the water.
- 31:49Speaker 6: If it crashes, it crashes, right? Never stood a chance. No.
- 31:52Speaker 6: It was cash. So clutch.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Time to talk about our heroes and zeros from Week
- 31:59Speaker 1: 6 in the NFL. Cash. Crash clutch. My cash is
- 32:05Speaker 1: my King Trey Tucker. The icing on what was a
- 32:10Speaker 1: wonderful cake this weekend. That throw from cousins that catch
- 32:15Speaker 1: from Tucker. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever
- 32:19Speaker 1: seen in my life. 44 yards of perfection. I framed it.
- 32:24Speaker 1: I stared at the photo last night as I went
- 32:27Speaker 1: to bed, like the Wolverine meme. It's me and Trey Tucker.
- 32:32Speaker 1: I love you.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Mine is going to be fucking Jets.
- 32:36Speaker 4: We talked about this kind of at length already to
- 32:40Speaker 4: open this show. But the way that we just got
- 32:43Speaker 4: to this last week as a group, the only thing
- 32:46Speaker 4: that it could be for me was the Jets because
- 32:48Speaker 4: everything else we found a way to kind of agree.
- 32:51Speaker 4: And then we could not find our fifth option because
- 32:54Speaker 4: we couldn't agree. And then we all just kind of
- 32:56Speaker 4: threw in the towel and we're like, you know what,
- 32:58Speaker 4: whatever the Jets and they showed up for us.
- 33:00Speaker 2: And that's a crazy thing to say about the New
- 33:02Speaker 2: York Jets.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Yes, it is. And if you need a good laugh today,
- 33:06Speaker 1: if Monday's just not treating you right, go back to
- 33:09Speaker 1: our Thursday episode, fast forward to about, I actually did
- 33:12Speaker 1: this right before we went live today. It's, it's about
- 33:15Speaker 1: an hour and 13 into the episode and just watch
- 33:20Speaker 1: or listen to how we arrive on the jets. It
- 33:23Speaker 1: will make you laugh. It was so funny. The way
- 33:27Speaker 1: that we were all trying to figure out, we got
- 33:29Speaker 1: to the end of the episode. We're like, who do
- 33:31Speaker 1: we have? What is the contest? Wait, we need one more. Evan,
- 33:35Speaker 1: who do you like? And we're going through all these
- 33:37Speaker 1: different machinations and we wind up saying, fuck it, the Jets.
- 33:41Speaker 1: It was so funny.
- 33:42Speaker 3: I think that like my big thing about this is
- 33:44Speaker 3: that every other game, we could have come up with
- 33:48Speaker 3: a way how we got to that conclusion and why
- 33:51Speaker 3: we thought that it would go that way.
- 33:52Speaker 2: But with the Jets, we were just like, I don't know.
- 33:56Speaker 2: I don't know. Jets.
- 33:59Speaker 1: So crazy. And as I mentioned earlier, it would not
- 34:02Speaker 1: have mattered. We would have gone unbeaten no matter what.
- 34:05Speaker 1: It's crazy. One other note on the cash of Trey Tucker.
- 34:10Speaker 1: He fits the mold, the Kendra Middleton mold of two
- 34:13Speaker 1: touchdown performers. 24 to 1 if you were out there.
- 34:17Speaker 1: I didn't bet that. But if you were out there
- 34:19Speaker 1: betting Trey Tucker two touchdowns, Trey Tucker, Tommy Tremble. Those
- 34:23Speaker 1: are two of your two touchdowns.
- 34:24Speaker 2: We got to start.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Whenever somebody scores and looks like they're going to them
- 34:28Speaker 3: a lot, just hit the double down live. I really
- 34:32Speaker 3: chickened out with Parker last week, and I should have
- 34:34Speaker 3: done it with Tootin yesterday, and I didn't.
- 34:35Speaker 2: I know better.
- 34:36Speaker 1: I don't know if I want to do that live.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I think I like the idea of just picking. Just
- 34:42Speaker 1: pick two players. Just go into the week. Like Trey Tucker,
- 34:46Speaker 1: speed demon against a bad defense. It would not have
- 34:49Speaker 1: taken much analysis to get us there.
- 34:51Speaker 3: I was going to say the Raiders have kind of
- 34:52Speaker 3: been like that all season, though, because they had a
- 34:54Speaker 3: Cody White to touchdown game like week three or something
- 34:56Speaker 3: like that.
- 34:57Speaker 1: OK, so I think we because I want that 24
- 35:00Speaker 1: to one. I'm not trying to.
- 35:01Speaker 2: We should do Brock Bowers next week.
- 35:03Speaker 1: OK, I'm down for that. My crash. I don't even
- 35:06Speaker 1: need to go into this much because we already talked
- 35:08Speaker 1: about it. But the Rams like. How are you doing this?
- 35:13Speaker 1: You're the Rams have outgained their opponents by a league
- 35:17Speaker 1: best 644 yards this season. They're number one in the
- 35:20Speaker 1: NFL yet. They're two and four. They have a loss
- 35:23Speaker 1: to the Cardinals. The Cardinals have now won more games
- 35:27Speaker 1: in so far than the Rams have. If you told
- 35:32Speaker 1: me that we're in week six and the Cardinals have
- 35:34Speaker 1: more wins in the Rams stadium than the Rams, it
- 35:36Speaker 1: would have been like, stop smoking crack. What are you
- 35:40Speaker 1: talking about?
- 35:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:42Speaker 1: It's all of the little stuff with this team, special teams,
- 35:45Speaker 1: operational pre-stat.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Their kicking disaster is crazy.
- 35:50Speaker 1: They bring in a new kicker and this guy, because
- 35:53Speaker 1: they're in, think about why he got hurt. He was
- 35:55Speaker 1: trying to play tough guy, but why was he trying
- 35:57Speaker 1: to play tough guy? Because their special teams coverage is
- 36:00Speaker 1: so bad. The kicker had to make a tackle and
- 36:03Speaker 1: then got hurt. This team is a disaster.
- 36:07Speaker 3: Can I say something about Blake Gruby that I just,
- 36:11Speaker 3: I don't cheer for injury ever. I hate when people
- 36:13Speaker 3: get hurt. I am not one of those people. But
- 36:15Speaker 3: did you not play Pop Warner growing up at all?
- 36:18Speaker 3: Like I could have made a tackle more form than that.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Are you kidding me?
- 36:22Speaker 3: What the fuck was that? I get that he like
- 36:24Speaker 3: knocked him out of bounds, but that was just like,
- 36:26Speaker 3: he literally just like shrimp posed and like folded up
- 36:30Speaker 3: on himself. What?
- 36:31Speaker 4: What?
- 36:32Speaker 3: Was that embarrassing for a grown-ass man who plays professional football?
- 36:40Speaker 2: I could have tackled him better than that. I'm sorry.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Cam Little's probably the smallest kicker in the league. Cam
- 36:45Speaker 3: would have hit him with more force than that. He
- 36:48Speaker 3: literally full-on just shrimped.
- 36:51Speaker 2: I'm not even kidding. Go watch it back. I watched
- 36:53Speaker 2: it at least four times yesterday. Full-on shrimp.
- 36:56Speaker 1: He looked like a light heavyweight in the WWE taking
- 37:01Speaker 1: a bump.
- 37:02Speaker 3: My crash is, and I have to hold another L.
- 37:07Speaker 3: I had the girls over on Wednesday night to watch survivor.
- 37:11Speaker 3: And I had, you know, my two nurses here that
- 37:14Speaker 3: I talked about last week, who we kind of went
- 37:15Speaker 3: through the timeline of everything with Jalen hurts. I had
- 37:18Speaker 3: gotten word that AJ Brown was going to probably start
- 37:22Speaker 3: this week. And I was helping my friends at her
- 37:23Speaker 3: fantasy lineup. And I was like, He's going to come
- 37:26Speaker 3: back this week. You should move him into a starting
- 37:29Speaker 3: role on your fantasy team because she had a lot
- 37:31Speaker 3: of bye weeks and stuff like that.
- 37:33Speaker 2: I need to apologize to my friend.
- 37:34Speaker 3: First of all, I'm so sorry if you lost your
- 37:37Speaker 3: game because of me telling you to start AJ Brown.
- 37:40Speaker 1: But.
- 37:41Speaker 3: I don't think any of us would have expected that
- 37:44Speaker 3: their biggest signing in the off season would get hurt
- 37:47Speaker 3: and come back and have a game that he did yesterday.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Not only just failing to play the position, but also
- 37:55Speaker 3: on the, you know, kickoff the, he just, he let
- 37:59Speaker 3: the ball go and almost caused them another opportunity in
- 38:02Speaker 3: the game.
- 38:03Speaker 2: I just, what version of him is this?
- 38:06Speaker 1: Like I, Oh, it's weird because I'm, I'm watching this game. Actually,
- 38:13Speaker 1: let me be more transparent. At the point when A.J.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Brown had his fourth drop, I was making my way
- 38:19Speaker 1: back from the pumpkin patch.
- 38:21Speaker 2: I did see your wife's photos. They were very cute.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Thank you. They did a great job. It was perfectly executed.
- 38:28Speaker 1: It helps when you're winning your wagers because then that
- 38:30Speaker 1: helps kind of like, okay, I can step away from
- 38:32Speaker 1: the TV.
- 38:33Speaker 2: You get the biggest pumpkin you want, baby girl.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Get it. I spent $ 37 on three pumpkins. The pumpkin
- 38:40Speaker 1: business is the inflation.
- 38:42Speaker 3: I spent like $ 50 apple picking.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Okay.
- 38:47Speaker 2: I get it. I went last week on indigenous people's.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Day and I spent so much money on some freaking
- 38:54Speaker 3: apples and I'm pissed about it.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Inflation's crazy. I get why the French are popping the
- 39:00Speaker 2: fuck off right now.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Somebody had to mention it. Yeah. So I'm in the car.
- 39:05Speaker 1: I'm on my way back. Thankfully, it was a short
- 39:07Speaker 1: drive back from the from patching. And I hear AJ
- 39:12Speaker 1: Brown with his fourth drop in the games. I'm listening
- 39:15Speaker 1: to the play by play on the way home. And
- 39:17Speaker 1: I'm thinking, oh, my God, the Jets must have grabbed
- 39:20Speaker 1: hold of a lead. It was 17 to three at
- 39:23Speaker 1: that point. They were still getting by without the help
- 39:27Speaker 1: of AJ Brown. And then I started thinking. did both
- 39:30Speaker 1: of these teams lose in the, the Eagles are worse
- 39:35Speaker 1: without him and the, and the Patriots so far when
- 39:39Speaker 1: he's on the field have been worse with him. So
- 39:42Speaker 1: right now we like to grade the winners of, of
- 39:46Speaker 1: trades and transactions and stuff. They're both losing at the moment.
- 39:50Speaker 3: They are both losing, but I will take the victory
- 39:53Speaker 3: lap on the miles Garrett, Jared verse trade. And me
- 39:57Speaker 3: saying that the Browns won that trade because I'm standing
- 39:59Speaker 3: 10 toes down on that shit.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Yeah. And miles Garrett standing 10 toes down too. Cause
- 40:04Speaker 1: he isn't playing. Let's go to our clutch. Old man
- 40:08Speaker 1: Rogers for me, Steelers dead to rates against the Tampa
- 40:12Speaker 1: Bay Buccaneers. He willed them back with the veteran savvy,
- 40:15Speaker 1: the wisdom and, that only ayahuasca can provide. They scored
- 40:19Speaker 1: three points in the first three quarters of this game.
- 40:22Speaker 1: And still, he finished with 33 completions, 253 yards, two touchdowns,
- 40:29Speaker 1: and a game-winning drive. Old man Rodgers.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Can I just say that I think that the reason
- 40:34Speaker 3: that Aaron Rodgers is having a resurgence in the last
- 40:37Speaker 3: couple of weeks is because I think that he has
- 40:38Speaker 3: finally accepted his role of being an unk on these teams.
- 40:42Speaker 3: I think that that's finally what's happened is that he has,
- 40:44Speaker 3: you know, seen the ghost of Christmas past and he's
- 40:47Speaker 3: accepted that he is passing the torch. And I think
- 40:50Speaker 3: that that's the reason that he has kind of turned
- 40:53Speaker 3: around over the last couple of weeks. Um, my clutch
- 40:57Speaker 3: is going to be the refs, at least two game
- 40:59Speaker 3: changing calls that have been talked about at nauseam yesterday.
- 41:03Speaker 3: And there have been many more throughout the season. I
- 41:05Speaker 3: don't remember how many, you know, touchdowns Evan said have
- 41:08Speaker 3: been nullified because of refereeing over the first six weeks.
- 41:11Speaker 3: But I already mentioned the phantom holding call on Brenton
- 41:14Speaker 3: Strange yesterday. But the unnecessary roughness call in the Cardinals-Rams
- 41:18Speaker 3: game that put the cards into field goal range is
- 41:22Speaker 3: another one. That was just absolutely insane. And there were
- 41:26Speaker 3: a couple yesterday. I don't remember one of them, but
- 41:28Speaker 3: there was another unnecessary roughness called against a quarterback where
- 41:31Speaker 3: he just barely flopped over. It's just the refs are
- 41:34Speaker 3: absolutely changing the last-minute capabilities of these games, and it's
- 41:39Speaker 3: just frustrating, and I've had enough of it.
- 41:41Speaker 2: And they are my Clutch of the.
- 41:43Speaker 3: Week because they changed at least two games yesterday that
- 41:45Speaker 3: I can remember, and I'm sure that there were more.
- 41:47Speaker 1: No team in the NFL has had more touchdowns called
- 41:50Speaker 1: back than the Jacksonville Jaguars?
- 41:52Speaker 4: Yep.
- 41:53Speaker 1: So they've got to figure out how to come out
- 41:56Speaker 1: on the other side of that. And I'm with you
- 41:58Speaker 1: on the Rams' unnecessary roughness. That was... Those, I mean,
- 42:02Speaker 1: and I'm not gonna, I am not excusing the Rams.
- 42:07Speaker 1: They shouldn't be close at the end of a game
- 42:09Speaker 1: against the Cardinals, but that was a bad call. Yeah.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Who is your diva of the week? He's just a diva. No,
- 42:16Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 42:16Speaker 2: An impossible diva.
- 42:18Speaker 6: What would make you say something like that?
- 42:20Speaker 2: It's pretty obvious. Diva alert!
- 42:23Speaker 3: My diva of the week is going to be Miss
- 42:25Speaker 3: Victoria's Secret for having the Victoria's Secret fashion show on
- 42:29Speaker 3: a Sunday night.
- 42:30Speaker 2: I think that they genuinely wanted to have.
- 42:34Speaker 3: spouses or partners fight last night by doing this? Because
- 42:37Speaker 3: what do you mean you're going to have this fashion
- 42:39Speaker 3: show on a Sunday night when you're going to be
- 42:40Speaker 3: competing with Sunday night football, let alone Sunday night football
- 42:44Speaker 3: between the Packers and the Cowboys? And you're going to,
- 42:47Speaker 3: you know, have Miss Kylie Jenner walk out in a
- 42:50Speaker 3: $ 23 million bra.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Like, how does a guy even fight with that? I
- 42:54Speaker 2: really don't understand. I didn't watch this.
- 42:57Speaker 3: I've been consuming it through social media, but I really
- 42:59Speaker 3: am very much in the like, okay, why wasn't this
- 43:02Speaker 3: like a Wednesday or a Tuesday night? It's not like
- 43:04Speaker 3: the girlies won't come out for the Victoria's Secret fashion
- 43:07Speaker 3: show no matter what night it was. I just thought
- 43:09Speaker 3: that this was like them trying to steal the spotlight
- 43:11Speaker 3: and make couples fight.
- 43:13Speaker 2: So that's my diva of the week.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Shout out to the multi-view option, though.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Imagine you're just like sitting there watching Jordan Love driving
- 43:21Speaker 3: and Kylie Jenner is walking out in a $ 23 million
- 43:24Speaker 3: bra and Timothee Chalamet is sitting there like, yeah.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Wife comes around the corner and goes, what are you doing? Like,
- 43:31Speaker 1: I'm locked in right now. Okay. Locked in. This is
- 43:34Speaker 1: my Super Bowl. For real. Jim Nance with the bandage
- 43:38Speaker 1: on his hand.
- 43:39Speaker 3: Yep.
- 43:39Speaker 1: That's my diva of the week. He was simulating the
- 43:42Speaker 1: peanut Tillman punch on JJ Watt. And I think he
- 43:45Speaker 1: legitimately hurt himself.
- 43:47Speaker 2: I do, too.
- 43:47Speaker 3: I there was like a follow up this morning where
- 43:51Speaker 3: once again, I was listening to rap sheet and he
- 43:53Speaker 3: was saying that Nance is really sore and people are
- 43:55Speaker 3: actually saying he like needs to.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Go for an MRI.
- 43:57Speaker 3: Because if you listen to the clip back, which I
- 43:59Speaker 3: have probably 30 times at this point, you hear him
- 44:02Speaker 3: like grunt really hard when he hits that ball. But like,
- 44:05Speaker 3: why would you actually even try and punch that? First
- 44:07Speaker 3: of all, you're an old man. Second of all, that's
- 44:09Speaker 3: probably one of the strongest dudes, pound for pound, who's
- 44:11Speaker 3: ever played in this league. And you think that he's
- 44:14Speaker 3: not going to go full on right now? That was
- 44:16Speaker 3: not an invitation to actually try and punch that ball out. Like,
- 44:19Speaker 3: you're an old man.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Oh, God. But that was comedy. You could not write that.
- 44:24Speaker 1: That was.
- 44:25Speaker 3: I would like to see more of the tomfoolery in
- 44:27Speaker 3: the booth, but maybe not the injury tomfoolery.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I appreciate that because Jim Nance is the he's
- 44:33Speaker 1: the consummate professional. And that looked like some shit that
- 44:36Speaker 1: I would do. And I appreciate that. I think it
- 44:39Speaker 1: humanized dance a little bit, but definitely diva move having
- 44:42Speaker 1: to wrap it in the second.
- 44:43Speaker 2: That was such a diva move.
- 44:45Speaker 3: I'm glad that you put that in here because it
- 44:46Speaker 3: was one of my considered options. But I couldn't leave
- 44:49Speaker 3: out the fact that there is no way that people
- 44:51Speaker 3: were not fighting over the remote in their own home
- 44:53Speaker 3: last night.
- 44:54Speaker 1: That was definitely, definitely happening. I did this move. Uh,
- 44:58Speaker 1: Mallory goes, you know, the, uh, Victoria secret fashion shows on,
- 45:02Speaker 1: I used to watch that all the time when I
- 45:03Speaker 1: was a kid and I did this like casual, like,
- 45:06Speaker 1: so do you like, do you want me to throw
- 45:07Speaker 1: it on or titties? I'm here for you.
- 45:12Speaker 3: You know, I will say, shout out to Barbara Palvin.
- 45:15Speaker 3: She's married to Dylan Sprouse, I think, from Suite Life
- 45:19Speaker 3: of Zack and Cody. But she is like three months
- 45:22Speaker 3: postpartum and walked in the Victoria's Secret fashion show last night.
- 45:25Speaker 3: That's pretty freaking cool, man.
- 45:27Speaker 1: Other diva of the week.
- 45:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Let's bring in the Oracle, Evan Abrams. Evan, what were you?
- 45:33Speaker 1: Where was the remote guiding you last night?
- 45:36Speaker 6: Definitely multi-option. I'm the one that brought it up.
- 45:39Speaker 5: It's a perfect opportunity for zero points on Dallas' side. Also,
- 45:45Speaker 5: if you look at it, same amount of money, like
- 45:47Speaker 5: $ 23 million bra. What's Jordan Love? Like $ 40 million? A
- 45:50Speaker 5: lot of money on the table there, fellas. Go back
- 45:53Speaker 5: to the question that you asked me before. I thought
- 45:55Speaker 5: this was an interesting way of looking at it. The
- 45:58Speaker 5: Rams obviously entered the season at 5-1 to win the
- 46:01Speaker 5: Super Bowl. I looked at teams to enter the year
- 46:04Speaker 5: at 5-1 or shorter who didn't make the super bowl
- 46:07Speaker 5: the year prior right so like these are teams that
- 46:09Speaker 5: we said okay we're gonna elevate them but we haven't
- 46:12Speaker 5: seen it so it's like not the mahomes teams.
- 46:14Speaker 6: Not so that was the way i looked at it
- 46:16Speaker 6: the last.
- 46:17Speaker 5: Team to do it were the 2020 ravens before that
- 46:20Speaker 5: 2011 patriots so i mean this is on media the
- 46:25Speaker 5: betters it's on all of us to be honest with
- 46:27Speaker 5: you um because of the age of the team and
- 46:30Speaker 5: so many different factors but i just thought that was
- 46:32Speaker 5: kind of interesting.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Is it salvageable based on any sort of historical context
- 46:38Speaker 1: that you have a team that's supposed to be this
- 46:41Speaker 1: good that has started two and four.
- 46:44Speaker 5: I could take a look at it and give it
- 46:46Speaker 5: back to you. I would say the last time I
- 46:49Speaker 5: looked at it was like a week ago and it
- 46:50Speaker 5: was like 50, 50 for those teams that like higher
- 46:55Speaker 5: odds that started that, but it was two and three
- 46:57Speaker 5: at the time. This is two and four. So yeah,
- 46:59Speaker 5: I could take another look. Let me keep diving here
- 47:01Speaker 5: because you had asked a few questions before. I thought
- 47:04Speaker 5: these were kind of interesting. So everyone is kind of
- 47:06Speaker 5: talking about penalties. So I thought an interesting way of
- 47:09Speaker 5: looking at it, just to show how little impact penalties
- 47:12Speaker 5: are kind of having, is this season, if you have
- 47:15Speaker 5: more penalties than your opponent, you're still winning 56% of games.
- 47:18Speaker 1: And.
- 47:22Speaker 5: Over the last four seasons, so since 2023, you'd be 55%
- 47:24Speaker 5: straight up and 53% against the spread with more penalties
- 47:27Speaker 5: than your opponent. If you look from 2002 to 2022,
- 47:28Speaker 5: 21 seasons, 20 of those 21 teams were 500 or
- 47:30Speaker 5: worse with more penalties than their opponent. Only one year
- 47:33Speaker 5: above 500, and it was a single game. It's like
- 47:48Speaker 5: over the last four years, we are getting so many
- 47:50Speaker 5: more penalties that it just isn't mattering as much in
- 47:54Speaker 5: the outcome of games.
- 47:57Speaker 6: And I think that's the way I'm looking at it.
- 47:59Speaker 1: I would look at the yardage in that too, because.
- 48:01Speaker 6: It seems like it was interesting. I looked it up.
- 48:04Speaker 5: I looked up yardage before and it wasn't having the
- 48:07Speaker 5: same impact in terms of my, that story as total
- 48:11Speaker 5: number of penalties.
- 48:13Speaker 6: So maybe yardage is more impactful. I think is your point.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I would agree with the yardage is definitely something
- 48:22Speaker 3: to look at. And I know that I sit here
- 48:24Speaker 3: and preach about schedules a lot, but if you haven't
- 48:26Speaker 3: gotten to the window and there's any value still on
- 48:28Speaker 3: like any kind of Rams under, I don't care what
- 48:31Speaker 3: you pick.
- 48:32Speaker 2: They have an insane schedule.
- 48:35Speaker 3: I know that I talk about schedules all the time
- 48:36Speaker 3: at nauseam and people are probably sick of it. I'm
- 48:38Speaker 3: going to throw this out there and we can move
- 48:40Speaker 3: on just because they're next to like, you know, 10
- 48:42Speaker 3: weeks or whatever. Raiders, Chargers, Commanders, Cardinals, this is where
- 48:48Speaker 3: it gets tough. They finished their last bit of the
- 48:50Speaker 3: season with the Packers, the Chiefs, the 49ers, the Cowboys, Seahawks, Bucks,
- 48:54Speaker 3: and Seahawks again.
- 48:56Speaker 2: They are not surviving that gauntlet in any way, shape,
- 48:59Speaker 2: or form.
- 49:00Speaker 3: And to be honest, the Chargers have to win a.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Game at some point.
- 49:04Speaker 3: And why not against the battle of LA November 1st,
- 49:07Speaker 3: a Sunday at four o'clock in the afternoon when probably
- 49:10Speaker 3: nobody's going to be watching this game because both of
- 49:12Speaker 3: these teams are so bad. I feel like that's when
- 49:14Speaker 3: the chargers are going to come to life.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Their post bi-week schedule is, horrendous. So there is an opportunity,
- 49:23Speaker 1: perhaps if you haven't sold on the Rams yet, just
- 49:27Speaker 1: wait until after the bi-week and you'll have another really
- 49:30Speaker 1: good opportunity to do that. One of the other things
- 49:32Speaker 1: I wanted to throw at you, Evan, you were on
- 49:36Speaker 1: gross teams Island this weekend. You liked all of them,
- 49:39Speaker 1: the chargers who didn't cover, but the Titans, the jets,
- 49:43Speaker 1: the bucks, you were on all of the, uh, the,
- 49:46Speaker 1: the nasty squads. Do you want to give us, um,
- 49:49Speaker 1: perhaps a review of how that went for you and
- 49:54Speaker 1: why specifically in week six, you went all in on
- 49:58Speaker 1: the nasty squads.
- 50:00Speaker 5: I bet nasty squads every week. It's just how I gamble.
- 50:05Speaker 5: I love the gross. It's definitely not just a week
- 50:09Speaker 5: six thing for me. I gave three picks to GIF.
- 50:12Speaker 5: I think they were Jets. I think the Bucs lost.
- 50:16Speaker 5: Either way, I take dogs all the time. But if
- 50:19Speaker 5: you just look at what's going on this season, six
- 50:22Speaker 5: plus point favorites, now eight, 18, and three.
- 50:25Speaker 6: Against the spread, which would be the second worst ATS
- 50:28Speaker 6: start since 2000.
- 50:28Speaker 5: The division underdogs, 20 and eight against the spread. Second
- 50:33Speaker 5: best start in the Super Bowl era, ATS. And then
- 50:37Speaker 5: if you just, this is kind of the crazier one
- 50:39Speaker 5: to me. If you just look at teams with a
- 50:41Speaker 5: double digit win total. So just like the preseason expectations,
- 50:43Speaker 5: like the Rams facing teams under that mark, 13 and
- 50:47Speaker 5: 25 against the spread. So, I mean, in every sense
- 50:49Speaker 5: of the word, it just feels like we're kind of
- 50:52Speaker 5: building up the wrong teams, which is intriguing.
- 50:55Speaker 1: It's like the theme of the season, Kendra, is no
- 50:58Speaker 1: one's that good. Definitely not the Rams.
- 51:01Speaker 2: I said that early on.
- 51:03Speaker 3: I think one of my big takeaways for, I think
- 51:05Speaker 3: it was week three, was everybody actually sucks.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Nobody's good. It was week three because I was in
- 51:11Speaker 2: my mom's kitchen when I said it.
- 51:13Speaker 5: I will say one more thing, and this is the
- 51:14Speaker 5: interesting thing. It's not even the fact that we're picking
- 51:17Speaker 5: the wrong teams. It's also the fact that the teams
- 51:19Speaker 5: that are winning are also not closing. 35 teams have
- 51:22Speaker 5: led by more than one possession at the.
- 51:24Speaker 6: Half this year. 27-7 straight up, 77%. 22-12-1 ATS, 65%.
- 51:26Speaker 6: Both would be the lowest marks through six weeks last
- 51:27Speaker 6: 30 years.
- 51:28Speaker 5: So even the teams that are winning, winning big, aren't
- 51:38Speaker 5: closing the games and covering so it's very difficult to
- 51:42Speaker 5: try to figure out week to week who you can
- 51:44Speaker 5: trust which I think is difficult.
- 51:47Speaker 2: That's actually a really good point.
- 51:48Speaker 3: I was listening to Kellen Moore's postgame press conference last night.
- 51:52Speaker 3: And one of the questions he was asked was why
- 51:54Speaker 3: he decided to bench some of his starters. And because
- 51:58Speaker 3: that led the Giants right back into that game. And
- 52:00Speaker 3: he very, like, boldly said that they were managing some injuries.
- 52:03Speaker 3: So that's also something to consider for next week if
- 52:06Speaker 3: you are thinking about the Saints is clearly some of
- 52:08Speaker 3: those starters are battling through injury. And I think that
- 52:11Speaker 3: that was kind of a little bit of a mistake
- 52:13Speaker 3: on my boy's part.
- 52:14Speaker 1: Hmm. I mean, longer seasons now, maybe that has something
- 52:18Speaker 1: to do with it, where teams are learning to manage
- 52:20Speaker 1: their guys differently, but that's definitely something to monitor. Evan Abrams, StatsHound,
- 52:25Speaker 1: check out The Primer every week on the Action Network app.
- 52:29Speaker 1: Thanks so much, Evan.
- 52:30Speaker 5: Later.
- 52:39Speaker 1: I'm for a Monday night football, same game parlay brought
- 52:43Speaker 1: to you by draft Kings with a crown. Of course
- 52:45Speaker 1: is yours. I had a monster weekend, so I am
- 52:49Speaker 1: not touching this Monet with a big bet tonight, but
- 52:52Speaker 1: I do like Christian McCaffrey under 14 and a half
- 52:56Speaker 1: rush attempts. Commanders top five against opposing running backs, top
- 53:00Speaker 1: five and attempts allowed their linebackers and their D line
- 53:03Speaker 1: are the strength of the defense. The secondary is where
- 53:06Speaker 1: you want to attack them. So this should be a
- 53:08Speaker 1: big Brock Purdy game. CMC's peak this year is 15 carries.
- 53:13Speaker 1: And that feels very purposeful. I don't think this is
- 53:16Speaker 1: a game where they have to unlock Christian McCaffrey to win.
- 53:19Speaker 1: So I'll take his under on rush attempts.
- 53:22Speaker 3: I got really into the weeds here for this game
- 53:26Speaker 3: while looking at stuff because a lot of it felt
- 53:28Speaker 3: really yucky to me. I'm going to go over five
- 53:30Speaker 3: and a half punts in the game in its entirety.
- 53:33Speaker 3: The commanders are averaging five per game. The 49ers are
- 53:35Speaker 3: averaging 3.2 per game. And the average in the league
- 53:38Speaker 3: is seven. I think that this game is going to
- 53:41Speaker 3: be really low scoring. I don't think that the 49ers
- 53:44Speaker 3: have a reason to get up here because the commanders
- 53:46Speaker 3: are bad. I really even think that the commanders could
- 53:48Speaker 3: cover this number. I think that this is going to
- 53:50Speaker 3: be a low scoring game. The commanders and the 49ers
- 53:53Speaker 3: both have injuries that they're dealing with. I think that
- 53:55Speaker 3: this could be an absolute boring punt fest. Or if
- 53:59Speaker 3: the 49ers are as good as we think they are,
- 54:01Speaker 3: that means the commanders are going to be punting the
- 54:03Speaker 3: entire game and they could hit that mark themselves.
- 54:06Speaker 1: So now you're making me do some work to find
- 54:09Speaker 1: this one.
- 54:09Speaker 2: I told you I got really I got really yucky here.
- 54:12Speaker 3: I was looking at, you know, total receptions for a
- 54:14Speaker 3: couple of guys. I was looking at longest reception and
- 54:17Speaker 3: then I found this jam and I was like, that.
- 54:19Speaker 2: Feels gettable for a couple of different reasons to me.
- 54:24Speaker 1: OK, this is this is in the weeds is our
- 54:28Speaker 1: same game. Parley has gotten under 14 and a half
- 54:30Speaker 1: rush attempts for Christian McCaffrey over five and a half
- 54:33Speaker 1: total punts. over on draft Kings. That is our Monday
- 54:38Speaker 1: night football. Same game parlay presented by draft Kings. Don't
- 54:40Speaker 1: forget to download the draft King sports app and use
- 54:43Speaker 1: the code favorites for a great offer. Kendra, another hat
